Kate and Tony go tanning Monday night

I suppose this is for the kids, too. Kate, who just wants her family to be "healthy" should know about the dangers of tanning, including skin cancer, skin burns, premature skin aging and eye damage.

Earlier, Kate played with the kids outside.

Again, maybe kate uses the tanning beds but I think not. The DWTS set they have a Spray Tan Booth available to everyone and since they are not in LA to take advantage of it they go elsewhere.

Maybe Kate uses the tanning beds, who knows. If she was smart she wouldn't. The DWTS set has a Spray Tan Booth available to all contestants and Dancers. This is just part of the prep for the big debut.

So if Kate doesn't use the tanning beds, they just went to the tanning salon to .... walk around for fun? Talk to other folks?

I know they have spray tans for the contestants, which is a lot safer. Wish Kate would use those instead, she's in LA enough, or she could find it in NY.

I believe most Tan Salons now have the option of Spray on or Beds if they want a lucrative business.

She obviously needed the touch-up for her appearance tomorrow on The View.

I hope she uses the spray on tans. Much safer.

I think this is so crazy! She can get the spray tan when she is in LA, and it would be free, and like right there on set. So why go out of your way to tan when you are home with your family????

I'm sure that her contract for DWTS covers her tanning and any other expenses to look good. According to the web, she is supposedly the highest paid dancer they have ever had and they obviously are paying the paps (we saw a photographer getting in the limo in NY with her).

The studio's probably picking up the tab.

The tanning salon in Wyomissing that Kate has regularly been spotted at offers both tanning beds and airbrush services. Their main business is in the tanning bed service, though. She has been tanning there for a while, even when her show went off the air and she was supposedly "broke", she still went there.

OH good Kate & her boobyguard have landed in NY. It's so handy having your own paps, so that ROL can immediately post your whereabouts.

LOL Nanb.

Meanwhile while the village idiots are drumming publicity the real contestants are a dancing away.

I have come to the conclusion Kate is Kate. She really wants to be paid to be the center of controversy. She thrives on it. Meanwhile, she is not being a mom.

There is a standard contract for all contestanats on DWTS. Kate cannot wheel and deal the contract to make it in favor of her getting more than any other contestant.

We've obtained a copy of the "Dancing" contract -- a public document filed with the L.A. County Superior Court. Under the contract, a contestant gets a guarantee of $125,000 for appearing on the show. By surviving the first elimination, contestant gets an additional $10,000 a week for weeks 3 and 4.

If contestant survives the next eliminations, the rate doubles to $20,000 a week for weeks 5, 6 and 7. For weeks 8 and 9 she scores $30,000 a week.

And here's where it really gets sweet. In weeks 10 and 11, if contestant makes it through, she gets $50,000 a week.

Total take if contestant makes it to the final 2 -- $365,000.

That could backfire on her someday.

Hi anonymous@2:57,

Does it say in that contract that the show cannot pay a contestant more than the standard amount? Didn't the show offer Paula Abdul a million just to do this season? I know it was reported that the show did.

Anonymous said...

I believe that was a complete fabrication. For one, Paula is a Dance Choreographer; it just wouldn't be right with the other contestants.

Anonymous said...

From what I hear it was all very speculative. There was no official comment.

They've had lots of people on who were professional dancers who had unfair advantages. Jane Seymour danced with the Russian ballet. Clearly the iceskaters have a big advantage. They can't really make it "fair." I think they tried to get Paula.

I'm not sure I believe there is a boilerplate contract for everyone. Everything's negotiable in this business. There may be a "standard" contract subject to negotiation from there. But without proof, I can't say for suer.

I question why the DWTS contract would be filed with the L.A. County Superior Court. Is it the norm for entertainment industry contracts to be filed with a Court and be made available for public viewing?

Anonymous said...

Come on now, get real, contracts are not filed with Court systems.

------------------------------------------------

Again fact check please. As far as I know, Jane Seymour is British and danced at age 13 with the London Festival Ballet.

Jane spent her childhood training as a dancer. She danced with BOTH the London Festival Ballet and the Russian Kirov Ballet.

Jane's own quote: "My dream was to dance with the Kirov Ballet, and I did..." An injury at 17 to her knee made her decide to switch to acting as a focus. This is all in the biography on her OFFICAL web site: http://www.friendsofjane.com/aaj_meetjane.html
