Yeah, just more PR BS.

Sure Kart. Let everyone know how terrified you are. Poor poor Kart. Let the sympathy votes commence.

When Kate is referring to her FANS, she actually means the ROBOCALL MACHINE that TLC is using to keep her on the show.

From Kate's blog:

"Here's the thing: I want to continue on so that I can learn, have the experience, give my kids the thrill of Monday night entertainment (with popcorn, I might add!) and give them something else to be proud of me for! I cannot tell you how very excited they are for me-- they comment on my sparkly dress up, their favorite part of the routine, and how 'boot-I-ful' (that's beautiful in Joel language for all of those who are wondering) I look. This show MUST go on."

~~~~~~~~~~
Translation: If you vote me off YOU will disappoint my children and break their little hearts because they can no longer watch their famous mom on Monday nights and YOU will take their favorite snack away from them.
I've said this before but I'm going to say it again. Everytime I hear or read that Kate says "and give my kids a reason to be proud of me," I just want to reach through the screen and yell, "Hey, yo!" The kids would be just as proud, if not moreso, if you showed up at their school programs, admired THEIR talents and achievements rather than asking/demanding that they admire yours. And when was the last time YOU were excited for THEM! It's called being a mom! Look it up in the dictionary. Geesh!
BTW, Kate. The show WILL go on. It will just go on WITHOUT you and be the better for it.
Kate also said on an interview on Tuesday that her kids were in bed and thank God they didn't see her. It was too late for them to be awake. So, what is it Kate? Were they awake, eating popcorn on the designer couch and cheering you on or were they asleep, put there by their Nanny's and didn't see you? Liar Liar pants on Fire.
IATK said...
I think she said they didn't watch the results show on Tuesday because she was afraid she would be kicked off, but they watched her dance Monday night. Don't 'cha know, Kate is perfect and she would never admit to or want them to see that she wasn't. Of course, real moms would use it as a learning experience for their children, how to handle defeat graciously and gracefully. On second thought, maybe that's why she didn't want them to watch. Those two qualities don't seem to exist within Katie Irene.
I doubt if her children even care that much how well mommy dearest does on DWTS nor should they. How many kids concern themselves with stuff like that? Most would be busy with their own little lives doing whatever it is kids do. But the Gosselin eight got robbed of a normal childhood. They were too busy getting dragged all over the place making money, oh sorry, "memories" for mommy. (And yes, before you Kartlovers slam me for saying that, they did have more material things/trips given to them than a lot of less fortunate children did, but they had no say in it and it was literally at their expense).
So now that Kate has to go out and do some physically hard work on DWTS, she's making sure the kids acknowledge how tough it is - or else. She's not going to let this slip by without reminding them she's doing it for them. bitch.
The whole thing with the trips has always irked me. Are trips great? Of course. Like a trip every summer or over Christmas, good for you if you can afford that. But the constant trips, adventures and other nonsense is not what makes four year olds HAPPY. It is simple: Mom and Dad. At home. Taking care of them. That is happpiness for a child.
Lately they HAVE been staying home because TLC isn't paying the trip bill anymore, and they do seem much more relaxed and happy.
Anonymous said...
Honestly, who tries sooooo hard to make their kids proud of them??? Love your children, be there for them, be open to who they are as people, and they will be proud to have you as a parent. But to go through all of this? National tv, travel every week, media interviews, etc. Instead of trying to convince everyone that you want your kids to be proud of you, go home, take care of them and earn their pride!
Anonymous said...
Looks like new PR interns are trying to write more like Kate - notice all the !!!'s
Anonymous said...
"Me, me, me, me!" Seems like the only song Kate knows.
Why is she always talking about her kids being proud of HER? Joel saying how beautiful SHE is? It's always about Kate.
Katesucks said...
Admin-would it be possible (without getting into legal trouble) to copy Kart's fake blog entry here? I don't wish to give that website the hits. :-)
Thanks!
I don't think this has anything to do with Kate wanting her children to be proud of her...she could care less.
From an absolutely fantastic article on narcissistic mothers from Preesi's site:
"On the rare occasions she is forced to acknowledge some bad behavior, she will couch the admission deniably. She “guesses” that “maybe” she “might have” done something wrong. The wrongdoing is always heavily spun and trimmed to make it sound better. The words “I guess,” “maybe,” and “might have” are in and of themselves lies because she knows exactly what she did - no guessing, no might haves, no maybes.
9. She has to be the center of attention all the time. This need is a defining trait of narcissists and particularly of narcissistic mothers for whom their children exist to be sources of attention and adoration. Narcissistic mothers love to be waited on and often pepper their children with little requests. “While you’re up…” or its equivalent is one of their favorite phrases. You couldn’t just be assigned a chore at the beginning of the week or of the day, instead, you had to do it on demand, preferably at a time that was inconvenient for you, or you had to “help” her do it, fetching and carrying for her while she made up to herself for the menial work she had to do as your mother by glorying in your attentions."
Kate's every move fits right in with the narcissistic mother analysis. This is ALL about her and her children are just incidentals that she uses to promote herself.
I agree, dee3. Kate wants to be a celebrity and if she needs to appeal to her public by using the kids as an excuse, she has no hesitation in doing so. She's used those kids since before they were born. Why stop now.
Good grief, I've been over there reading all the comments. I think that besides being fascinated by watching Kate as the textbook example of NPD, I am simultaneously fascinated and appalled by the lack of critical thinking skills of her admirers. It's as if they look at blue and call it red.
I'm just hoping that most of them are either sock puppets or teen-agers...because the lack of critical thinking skills is almost...frightening.
she is digging her demise more and more each day and each show. The woman I work with is a DWTS expert. (She actually takes notes and chats with a friend on the phone at lunch about it) She has never heard of Kart and doesn't understand why she is there, why she hasn't been voted off, or why Pam was nearly voted off. She thinks the show is fixed now. Have fun with that ABC.
Mary,
It would be perfectly reasonable to be flummoxed by this if your co-worker takes DWTS very seriously and didn't know who Kate was.
I mean, unless you'd been following her, you'd almost not be able to believe it. The fact that she's even lasted so long, gotten as far as she has, has managed to be coated in teflon and has admirers....almost defies belief (in the real world).
I'm sure you're co-worker must be appalled at what she's seeing, not having heard of Kate prior to this.
Oh, of COURSE it's going to be her best dance...because it's going to be about HER life so all about HER...and she'll be able to ham it up in her unique, fake way, I'd imagine.
However, according to reports...things have gotten NO better between them and Tony Dovolani is reported to be at his wit's end with her. The poor guy seems like he's really trying to remain professional for as long as possible.
Kate apparently goes off for tanning and mani/pedi's and just leaves him twiddling his thumbs for hours.
That's not saying very much.
That's not tan that's being sprayed on Kart. It's Teflon.
IATK said...
I posted the article about Tony getting pissed yet again on the "Kate goes to nail salon" thread. Who knows if it's true but after what saw last week, and with photos of Kate out and about yesterday, it's certainly within the realm of possibility. Tony's a pro and a teacher and he should be the one in charge. There's no way Kate's going to allow that, especially on her home turf.
Oops, sorry for the double post. The first one didn't show up so I thought it had gotten lost or gone down a black hole somewhere.
Administrator...please feel free to delete one of these. I did not intend for it to show up twice. Sorry about that.
my9cats, LOL.
That was my first thought about the tweet. How can a bull be much better than what we saw last week. And if she's not practicing again, it will just be a repeat performance. I don't get it either. Why would you rather make an ass out of yourself than put forth some effort and try to be at least decent?
Anonymous said...
"That's not tan that's being sprayed on Kart. It's Teflon."
Hehe...that's SO true. Maybe someone will finally use a metal spatula on her and mess up that teflon.
From what I'm reading, despite all her claims that they've patched things up and are now getting along just fine in the studio....it's actually the total opposite and she's exhibiting the same old behavior and really aggravating Tony.
dee3
IATK said...
Does anyone really believe that Kate will change and become a follower and a student? I don't.
Anonymous said...
itsaboutthekids...
I totally agree with you. In fact, Kate hits almost every single feature of NPD and apparently, there is a poor prognosis with this, even with massive therapy. I absolutely believe that she's completely unable to change and that under stress, the worst of her negative behaviors come out.
I think Tony tweets those things because he's been told to keep it positive by the producers, even if it's not. Plus he's such a gentleman. He's worked with professionals like Elena Grinenko and now he's got this bullheaded tin ear who can't execute a basic dance step without screwing it up and then argues with him about it! Unless he puts duct tape over Kates big mouth at practice I don't see how he's able to get through another week with her. It wouldn't surprise me to hear the poor guy has barricaded himself in the bathroom and refuses to come out Monday night.
Anonymous said...
Oh Lordie bee,
Teflon is hilarious.
Kate doesn't have to work at this because the show is fixed. It does not matter how awful she does because some one this week will go home that was gracious, hardworking, nice spirited and genuine.
And, if you think about it this is turning out to be a cheesy lousy show watering it down to have her. It is not like Kate is the replacement for Oprah Winfrey's talk show slot.
Kate is on the treadmill to nowhere. And, I bet 5 years from now the money will be gone, the house will get auctioned & then Kate will have another come to Jesus meeting & want love offerings. She never plans on paying her own way.
There is no way that she is going to be able to pull this dance off.
Gee, I never thought to hold an Easter Egg Hunt on my driveway. I always dress in heels and my hot pink top when we hunt for Easter Eggs on the driveway. Her kids sure like they are having a miserable time at that hunt.
I knew she was going to have an easter egg hunt on her driveway. Has anyone even told this bitch that she has 26 acres of land there? Why does she do everything on the driveway? Paps??????????
PatK said...
Oh, lordy be! How wonderful that Kate got up very early and lovingly placed each and every egg around the front acreage for her children's Easter fun! And then to painstakingly dress them in co-ordinated matching outfits and take the time to carefully style her daughters' hair! I hope they all enjoyed that special pancake breakfast I'm sure she whipped up for them, too! Poor thing barely had time to concentrate on her own appearance before the festivities began.
What a wonderful mother!
Hailey Glassman's uncle is Mike Heller and his father is none other than Mark J. Heller, Jon's New York attorney.
Don't know if everyone knew this or not, but I'm so happy Jon finally found a new lawyer. Maybe now he can rebuild his life.
We have NEVER ever seen the little girls hair styled by Kart--no way she did this-The nannies got them dressed all matchy matchy and hair done beautifully per KART's instructions under penalty of severness.
I did not know that Hailey was related to the Hellers. That explains a lot.
There's no way Kate did her daughters' hair. Since she got the extensions, she can't even do her OWN hair and it's looked very ratty in most recent photos.
The following is one paragraph from a lengthy article written by Maksim for TVguide.com. I found it interesting about the dance pros approach when trying to teach the celebrities and one point in particular that he made:
"I hope everyone got a wake-up call this week with all the fights they showed. I really cannot see who will be stupid enough to get into another fight."
http://www.tvguide.com/Celebrity-Blogs/Dancings-Maks-Celebs-1016881.aspx
Dancing's Maks: Celebs Need to Be Nice to Their Partners
by Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Honestly, I'm one of the most intense trainers out there. The biggest problem celebrities have is that they're coming in blind. They have no idea where this is going. But we, the pros, know what to expect and know what we have to do. I know what's going to happen and I know how well you're going to perform it if you let me educate you to the fullest. He's not the only person who's done this, but when Jake told Chelsie, "I'm not asking you; I'm telling you," it's like, "Excuse me, exactly how much do you know about dance?" Chelsie said no — good for her — and he did what she wanted to do. I'm not going to play up to what you think your strength is; I'm going to play up to what I think your strength is. I want you to do your best and I know what I want to get out of it. I hope everyone got a wake-up call this week with all the fights they showed. I really cannot see who will be stupid enough to get into another fight. The fights don't happen because of the pros. Pros don't want to be mannequins for hire. I'm not your toy. You're the celebrity and I'm a dancer, but it doesn't mean we can be bossed around. We are here too. This is our job too. We know what we're doing. Edyta's been on all 10 seasons! Most of us have been on for a while. I don't want to disrespect the celebrities because I know it's hard for them, but just put your trust in us fully. And we'll return the favor with an amazing performance that you will like. The funny thing is, when they enter, everyone's freaking out. When the season ends, every celebrity is watching their YouTube videos thinking what they could've done better. Every Monday night, Erin or whoever my partner was would come to me and go, "Hey, listen, they said exactly what you said for the past week." I'm like, "I know!"
Oy! Kate!
From the articule posted above from Maks:
"All the couples are given the first two dances and songs in the three weeks leading up to the premiere to work on them."
She had four weeks to prepare for the Jive...three days to prepare for the Paso...oy! It will be an interesting night of television.
According to Kate she does great during rehearsals and then freezes up during the performances. I guess we'll see if she's overcome her case of nerves while dancing. I wonder if she'll dance close to last again? I would think that alone would be nerve wracking.
