Supposedly a twitter from Erin Andrews. I'm no fan of Kate but I'm also no fan of someone who says one thing and then stabs someone in the back.

Erin has gone out of her way to say how she likes Kate and what a good sport she's been and then to do this, really. When you can't stand for something, you fall for anything.

The pic would have been funny, knowing what Kate's all about. It's really a cheap shot from someone who doesn't have the gonads to speak the truth in front of the camera and the press but hides behind a twitter shot. I'm not impressed.

Lordie bee. Funny :-)

My vote for the mag cover is that Kate is a villain.

Katesucks said...

I was surprised no one beat me to posting it here! Of course Kart will be thinking Maks read the article and is having sweet dreams about her, right? ;-)

Administrator said...

You know Kelly I was thinking the same thing. Any which way you slice it this is making fun of Kate Even if they weren't INTENDING to make fun of Kate, which I doubt, they had to know people would take it that way. So if they truly like Kate, they wouldn't do something like this that clearly looks like it's poking fun at her.

I can't stand when people say one thing then do another either. If they don't like Kate, don't pretend you're best text messaging buddies. Why is everyone so afraid to say how they really feel about her. Ratclaws?

Anonymous said...

If you saw Max on Chelsea Lately, you know what these two think of Kate. Erin said since Max and Tony were best friends, the two couples saw a lot of each other during DWTS. Erin said Kate was trying hard, or something like that, and Max threw his head back and rolled his eyes. Then he said he would just call Tony and say, "Hang in there, Buddy!" It was obvious that Kate annoyed Max. Wasn't he also the one who said that Kate "didn't seem to get" what the show was all about, i.e., working hard to do something out of your comfort zone?

Kath101 said...

Maks always seemed to be on to Kate. He never really said anything nice about her.

I can only suspect that Erin is being more influenced by his point of view, for whatever reason. She seems so wishy washy with a thin goody two shoes act. Both she and Evan Lysacek annoy me.

I would NOT be surprised if TLC paid these two off to say nice things about Kate. The money has been paid so she can hint at whatever she wants now.

Oh and Kate offered Evan backrubs? Skeevy.

susan said...

It's kind of...ok, a lot...embarrassing to admit, but I follow Erin on twitter and she has never tweeted anything like what you read, Kelly. This is what was posted along with the picture of Maks:

@MaksimC already fell asleep on the plane..he's doing some light reading.. http://yfrog.com/0zs1uzj
about 18 hours ago via Twitterrific

I don't recall her tweeting anything at all specifically about Kate, usually just general cheerful dwts stuff.

Kelly said...

Thanks Admin. We're on the same page with this one. Fair is fair.

Kelly said...

Anonymous,
Max did say that and he is a loyal friend of Tony. What he insinuated in his interviews and what he's doing in that picture cancels out any relevance for any comment he may have in the future.

I think these blogs all cropped up because we were seeing one thing on TLC and then hearing another which became maddening. All anyone wants is the truth.

Jon and Kate plus 8 could have been a wonderful light hearted show that all of us would look forward to like we did years ago with the serial program "Happy Days" or any of the other light hearted "scripted shows".

Jon and Kate and their producers tried to short sheet the audience by pretending this was a light hearted family show, unscripted and by Kates own words, "The most real reality show you will ever see".

We all learned otherwise which got our dander and our undies in a major wad. The picture with Macs' sleeping with a tabloid on his chest featuring Kate was a cheap shot.

Either say what your thinking, or say "no comment or say nothing at all but don't hide behind a twitter message with an inunedo, pretending to send a message. It's a cheap shot and trust me, I'm not Team Kate. I'm just team fair.

Kath101 said...

Also this could be read a few different ways.

1) They're making fun of her.

2) They're making fun of the media fascination with her. Maks is 'bored' of all the exploitive 'untrue' stories in the media. Hence they're sticking up for her.

3) Maks is making a dig and Erin thinks he's making fun of the tabloid, not Kate.

4) They're both using Kate's infamy to get some attention for DWTS and/or themselves.

5) They were told to pose with this Kate cover in an ambiguous manner to stir up some controversy and drive up ratings for DWTS, since
Kate-troversy sells magazines and gets ratings.

This is too vague and dumb. I think Erin is still dumb enough to like Kate.

Katesucks said...

How long before an 'apology' is mandated by ABC/TLC, ha ha? And this comes a day after Kart said she 'couldn't watch (her friends/family on) DWTS'.
If anyone is 'two-faced' or 'backstabbing' we need not look any further that Katatonic Katie Irene.
I still think she'd be too dense to get the 'joke's on her', just like with George Lopez.

NancyB said...

Kelly - Erin's been very pro Kart but Maks -- not so much. This is from his blog about Kart:

"Kate left this week, and honestly, I think that Kate left because at the end of the day it just seemed as though she wasn't able to really let loose and enjoy herself. Tony is a great teacher, one of the best in country. When he's not on the show he's in demand all around the country to teach students. He did his best with Kate and tried to get the best out of her and unfortunately it just didn't work. Dancing with the Stars is more than just a dance competition. It's a chance for celebrities to come out of their shells in a completely foreign area and unfortunately it just seemed like Kate stayed in her shell and resisted Tony's attempts to get the best out of her in his own way. She may never have been the best dancer on the show but she could have had the best time out of anyone. I hope that she looks back on her experience and realizes that she got the opportunity to learn the best sport from one of the best in the business.

When I was 14 and came to the U.S. and didn't speak a word of English, I realized one thing — this country's amazing. It gives you a billion and one opportunities. One thing I never wanted is to have to do something that I didn't like. Let's not exaggerate the word "like" because we all have to do things we don't want sometimes because that's called life. But if I've already achieved certain things in my life, my goal is to work and work in the industry and have a job that I love and enjoy. It can be hard and physically and mentally consuming — that's OK because I'm a hard worker. But I would never want to work on something that's not enjoyable. If my celebrity partner told me she didn't care and to just do whatever made me happy, she would've lost me as a person, as a friend and someone who gave a crap about her staying on this show. Even if I don't physically quit, I would quit mentally and you don't want me to quit mentally."

Too bad Kart didn't get paired with Maxim - but I bet the producers knew that he wouldn't take her BS and hand picked Tony who has the reputation for most patient and nicest.

Anonymous said...

You know, maybe Erin changed her tune toward Kate after Kate said on Regis and Kelly that she "sacrificed herself so the others could move on." J.

Sick of Karts and Jons Krap said...

Don't you think everyone was warned not to say anything negative against Kart? I sure think they were. If not, someone surly would have said something about Ms. non personality. Instead they had to leak it that the crew hated her. Maks may want to come back to dance another season. Who knows? There may be something in their contract about making disparaging remarks about other contestants.

Hi Susan,
I read your comment. I did see this picture along with a twitter message earlier this afternoon from Erin, or attributed to Erin. I didn't copy it, nor did I comment on it.

We all know that twitter accounts can be made up or compromised and if in fact, Erin didn't send that, I stand corrected. Thus my failure to copy the link earlier today and my surprise that she did this. I may be totally wrong.

Messy Bessy and the Missing Hairbrush Phenomenon
04/28/2010

If you have girls, especially if you have five of them, then you understand the frustration of the Missing Hairbrush Phenomenon.

So we’re getting ready for school, church or -- just getting ready in the morning, period -- and I look around to see messy Bessy hair times five. Some is short messy Bessy hair. Some is very long messy Bessy hair. No matter, it's all messy, and all varying shades of brown, which you knew already ... When I ask this messy Bessy or that messy Bessy to please brush her hair so I can see her gorgeous Bessy face, I always get the same answer: “I can’t find a brush!”

Let me tell you why this is so extremely frustrating. Over the years I’ve cleaned out Target aisles when it comes to hair brushes. At one point, the manager pulled me aside to let me know I had exceeded the family lifetime limit of hairbrush purchases. (OK, that’s not true, but it could be!)

The brushes started out as tiny travel brushes. (These work well for fine 1- to 2-year-old hair). Then we went to medium, more serious, brushes -- ones in pink, blue, black, grey. Oh, we had one in every color! But give it a few weeks and – poof! – they all evaporate into thin air!

I just don’t get it. I don't think that hairbrushes are on other people’s Target list -- every other week! The other morning, as I was madly completing my most recent Target list, I again visited the hair care aisle. This time I bought brushes that were large enough to hit a fuzzy green ball over a net. In any case, I grabbed two of them at $6.99 each.

As I released them out of their red-and-white bag, I had half a mind to ask them if they knew the location of the hairbrush command center in our house. Hey, it doesn’t hurt to ask, right? I'd love to recover the droves of misplaced brushes -- I just know they’re here somewhere!

When the kids returned from school, I announced to all of my messy Bessys that I had (again!) purchased hairbrushes, and they were all very anxious to try out the new tennis rackets -- oops, I meant hairbrushes -- and off they all ran to put them to good use.

As I was putting the little kids to bed that night, NO LIE, one of my tallest Bessys meandered through the house looking for me, and when she found me, I noticed she was freshly showered. As her hair dripped onto the rug, her words were, “Mom, I can't find a brush!'

Aggghhhhhhh! I give up!

In my house, Messy Bessy is officially the new look!

Sorry, I left off the rest of the article that says that Jon will be on the specials! There are a bunch of pics too.

Kate will also be working on a lineup of specials featuring her ex-husband Jon Gosselin and the eight kiddies, with both series set to begin airing this summer,

As for Jon, he was spotted out during the course of the day, as well, with TLC reality papa busy moving his belongings into a new bachelor pad in the Reading locale.

AuntieAnn said...

Well, if we're going to come clean here ;) I have to say Erin looked like an ostrich on steroids in that get up on Monday night.

And I have no clue as to the purpose of the twitter photo. If it's to take a jab at Kate, it certainly is hypocritical of Erin, and yet Kate's not exactly pure when it comes to talking smack about people behind their backs either. Everything comes home to roost eventually. This is Kate's week in the chicken coop.

Although the source of this article is questionable, it does make sense why all of a sudden Jon fired his attorney as well as threw him under the bus and now making nice with Khate. So if he is being filmed and maybe TLC is also footing the bill on his new digs. It will not shock me one single bit!

Is the hairbrush story for real? C'mon. Who wants to read this stuff about personal grooming
tools? For somebody who's so bloody organized,
why hasn't she taught her children to put things back where they belong, like in their bathroom drawers or in their dresser drawers?
Leaving hairbrushes all over the house hardly seems like something Ms. OCD would tolerate.

Why does Kate care about their hair, the nanny does it so beautifully, isn't that what she's paid for?

Maybe she's (TLC) shopping for a video for the kids singing/acting the "Hairbrush" song from Veggie Tales. Sort of an Ashley/Mary Kate type thing that they did when they were young. This would also boost her "Christian" image since Veggie Tales is a Christian children's series. hmmmm

Did anyone else notice that Kate (or the ghost-writing intern) mentioned Target FOUR times? Does anyone really care where she buys her hairbrushes? This is a paid commercial for sure. She also said they were "2 for $6.99 each", then mentioned Target's red-and white bag.
Makes me want to get a passport, rush across the border to Buffalo, find a Target store, and take them up on that fantastic offer.
Actually I buy mine at Dollarama for$1.00 each.If anyone cares.

susan said...

Admin - different perspectives, I guess...I thought it looked completely staged and right in line with Maks' eye-rolls and thinly veiled insults whenever asked about Kate. I don't think they're "together" because in one interview - I think Jimmy Kimmel but I'm not sure - she said she never knew how to answer that question that would keep the hype going but not be over the top (paraphrasing), and someone recently posted pics of him nuzzling a non-Erin blonde on twitter. I agree that she looks kind of gangly, though.

From OMG!

Kate Gosselin's latest book isn't exactly flying off the shelves.

Since its April 13 release, I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith, and Family has sold just 10,084 copies, according to national book sales tracker Bookscan. The non-fiction title debuted at #11 on the New York Times' non fiction bestseller list, and at #103 on USA Today's bestsellers chart. By Thursday afternoon, its Amazon.com rank was #862.

PHOTOS: Look back on Kate's DWTS days

This is in spite of Gosselin's relentless promotion of the tome on TV and radio -- plus her ubiquitous presence on Dancing with the Stars prior to her ouster last week.

Jim Milliot, business and news director of book-industry magazine Publishers Weekly, tells UsMagazine.com that the numbers "nowhere near a blockbuster" and "not that impressive."

By contrast, the 35-year-old mom's first two books, Multiple Blessings and Eight Little Faces, both climbed to number five on the New York Times' list; Multiple Blessings sold 523,000 copies in 2009.

PHOTOS: Kate's grumpiest expressions

Could I Just Want You to Know end up selling 500,000 copies in the long run? Not likely, Milliot tells Us, explaining that the lion's share of book sales typically occur "in the first month or two of publication." He adds that Gosselin will have "a very tough time getting to 50,000, let alone 100,000...I think it will be a disappointment in the end."

PHOTOS: Kate's hair through the years

The book "continues [Kate's] story of faith and family," an Amazon description reads. "Using excerpts and written prayers from her journal, Kate offers an intimate look at the heart of a mother during the three years her family transitioned from obscurity into television fame."

cherier1 said...

No way does Kate write that blog. It doesn't sound like her at all and it's light-hearted which she is not. Target did get mentioned 4 times - surely not by accident.

I think the pic is funny. If it's meant as a stab at Kate by Erin, then I think less of Erin for doing it after acting like they're friends. If you don't like her, don't pretend you do. Maybe Maks set the photo up?

WG's new blog is interesting. If true, and I believe she is careful with what she writes, then Jon is more wiley than I thought. Bodyguards taking money for tips, Jon splitting pap pic money....I hope her source does publish his book. I also hope WG is able to get some insight into the Radar lovefest with Kate. If Radar is indeed owned by the same company that owns National Enquirer, they are certainly playing both sides of the fence (pun intended).
