Jon spends Easter with the kids

Jon spent Easter with the kids, playing outside and taking Alexis to the doctor.

Meanwhile, Kate's first earthquake? A 7.2 earthquake at the California-Mexico border was definitely felt throughout Los Angeles this afternoon as Kate rehearsed for tomorrow.

A local has more pics here: http://smalltowngosselins.blogspot.com/2010/04/easter-at-gosselins.html

I'm glad the kids have their Dad with them today. I wish they had more family to depend on. For children who have been given so much, their world is so small.

I do wonder if these photos weren't from late yesterday. Cara & Mady are in the same clothes. Also, I wonder about going to the Dr. on Easter. As a mother of four, I know I would have had to go to the emergency room on a holiday.

Jon never scowls when he attends to his chidren, never ever. Jon is a loving, attentive caring Dad and all eight know it. No phony anything here, just pure Daddy. When will the stupid sheeple get it? Kate is busy hammering Tony to a pulp and Oh so busy with her nails and hair. I am a real Mom and would never have missed a moment. Oh, she sucks. Notice Jon is holding her hand and walking with her. How I despise Kate. Her family must be so embarressed, so ashamed of her.
She is the joke of America, be ashamed Kate, be ashamed Kate, you are a disgrace to all Mothers.

Who goes to a doctor's "appointment" on a Sunday, let alone Easter Sunday? In my area, there are pediatric out of normal hours clinics you can go to rather than an emergency room. I agree, doctor's "appointment" on Easter Sunday? I don't think so. IF those pictures were taken today, she must have been sick and needed care. More ROL/PR spin.

There's another photo of Jon and some of the tups playing with a large ball and they're all in different clothing. It's in the same series as the above photos so I wonder if this one was actually taken today. I WANT one of those balls for the gkids. lol

Well. apparently Jon and his daughter did go to an apppoint. Can you not see see? The Mother is thousands of miles away as usual. Dad is doing what is right, as usual. Tomorrow the American public gets to witness another shameful performance by this idiot.

I think it's Sunday, a different day, because the girls hair is down again, maticulous braids are gone. Any little girl would have no reason to take out pretty braids unless she had to at bedtime for a bath.

Sometimes kids want to wear the same thing every day. The girls had pretty Easter dresses, they probably wanted to wear the same thing again. The boys have completely different outfits.

Kate Gosselin: I Dance 'For My Kids'

'DWTS' Contestant Says Claims That She's Using Her Kids 'Just Does [Her] In'

By LEE FERRAN and KATIE ESCHERICH
April 4, 2010

"Dancing With the Stars" contestant Kate Gosselin tearfully responded to criticism today, saying that she uses her fame to help her kids, not the other way around.

"That just does me in. Any work that comes my way -- and this job [on 'Dancing'] is most cost effective," the reality star said. "If it could all go away because I was financially set and I could stay home and bake and cook from scratch, I'd like to do that. I'd so be there."

Gosselin is one of three mothers in the cast of "Dancing With the Stars" this year -- Pamela Anderson and Niecy Nash being the others -- and all have had to figure out a way to balance the demanding training regime with finding time to be with their kids.

Tune in "Good Morning America" Monday at 7 a.m. to catch the rest of the Gosselin interview and the full segment you won't want to miss.

Gosselin reportedly had a dance studio installed in her basement so she'd never be far away from her many children.

"I have eight kids, and I'm a mom and I have a very full schedule anyway," she said on "Good Morning America" in early March. "Obviously, the kids come first. It's going to be hard. I'm determined to do it."

Gosselin gained fame on her TLC reality-TV show "Jon and Kate Plus Eight," which went off the air after she and husband Jon Gosselin got divorced. She commutes to and from Los Angeles for appearances on "Dancing With the Stars."
When asked if she had any dancing experience before the show began, Gosselin said, "not so much," adding that she isn't worried about the notoriously grueling physical preparation for the show. "I will be dancing in the basement" while the kids are in school or asleep for the night.

"That's the part I'm looking forward to," she said. "Beat my butt, because I need to do it. That part I'm not afraid of. Honestly, my mind is willing to do it. It's just making my body figure it out."

After her first dance, it looked like things weren't going as smoothly as Gosselin hoped. In a television clip that aired last week, Gosselin's partner, Tony Dovolani, walked out of a rehearsal after becoming frustrated with Gosselin.

Gosselin squeaked by the latest "DWTS" elimination round, edging out Shannen Doherty who was cut, but took harsh criticism from the judges.

Easter At The Gosselins

"It's a beautiful Easter Sunday afternoon here in Wernersville, PA. There was a lone photographer at the Gosselins about a half hour ago. When I drove by the kids were playing with a huge air-filled ball on the lawn with a babysitter while Jon puttered about the garage. Then he walked down on the front lawn to play with the kids for a few minutes."

"The photog on site told me he took the pictures of Kate and the kids gathering Easter eggs that are online and in all the mags this week. He also said he's spoken to Kate's dancing instructor Tony a few times and Tony is a complete gentleman."

This comment continues for several paragraphs along with photographs of the kids and Jon outside with the big ball. Werny Gal, the author, is a local living in Wernersville and although she doesn't know Jon and Kate, she has been following the Gosselin story for quite some time. I think you'll find it interesting reading if you click on the link.

Kate continues to say that she would love to be able to stay home and bake from scratch, be with her kids, and that she'd give it up if she could. Well good news, Kate. You CAN give up the fame. Did you know that there are other jobs in the world besides DWTS? Even for mothers of 8, yes 8, count em 8 kids!
Did you also know that they make smaller homes than your mansion? They do, really. Oh and also Kate, you don't HAVE to get spray tans and manicures. You can give those up without dying. I promise!
Does she really believe what she says or has she just mastered the art of lying? Unbelievable!

These illogical comments Kate makes about needing the money are actually just the excuse she uses to try to explain away her constant need for attention and need to be in the limelight and make it all about her.

Being a narcissist, she loves the money and feels it enhances her and she deserves it but it's not really about the money. WHAT other possible excuse could she make to explain why She NEEDS to be out there and away from her children all the time?
So even though to rational people, her lifestyle contradicts her claims of this need for money...it's really the only palatable excuse she can come up with to explain her behavior.

And then...she can use the excuse of needing all the tanning and spa treatments...in order to be able to EARN this much needed money...to again, rationalize why she NEEDS to be away from the children all the time and to constantly be in the headlines.

Because being a narcissist, nothing is ever her fault. So poor victim was put in this position with 8 children and not enough money...so she HAS to do this. It's the only excuse that would still allow her to look good...and it works with many of the sheeple.

So even though her relatively lavish lifestyle contradicts her claims (she needs all that money to support THAT lifestyle, not necessarily a normal lifestyle...and she's made enough already to support a normal lifestyle)...it's the only palatable excuse out there.

Private schools and mansions on large acreage are LUXURIES, not necessities....and non-narcissistic mothers would only choose to be away from her children that much if it was necessary just to provide the necessities. This is all about her needing constant attention, not about needing the money.

Michelle Bombshell McGhee dances for the money too Kate. The only difference between the two of you is Her tatoo is on her forhead and yours is on your ankle. While you're at it, why don't you have ABC and TLC install a pole on your new dance floor and then, perhaps, when the kids are asleep, you can go to Legends Bar in Wernersville and dance all night long while Stephanie Santoro serves drinks.

Thank you Nobody Likes a Narcissist. I appreciate that. I was reading the comments on various sites regarding this new interview and began reflecting on this...and my gut feeling/intuition kept telling me that it's not really about the money...it's only an excuse.
In fact, I actually believe that it's possible that not only are the children mainly props for her but that they were simply a means to an end...the end being Kate being the star...and that she may have resented them for their popularity with the audience. And also probably convinced herself that well no, the audience watches to see ME, I'm sure.

I think she would much prefer to be a star on her own than with the children. They just provide her with a very handy excuse. Supporting children is such a heart-tugging issue.

And I've seen so many sheeple write.."well, YOU would do the same thing if you could have all that money and luxuries..you KNOW you would".
Well no, I wouldn't. My husband and I made very good money but I only worked limited part-time when my children were little so I could spend the time with them. I worked more when they went to school but my husband and I always worked opposite shifts (we're RN's) so that one of us was always with the children...and on the rare occasion we had to go somewhere without them...their grandparents babysat. I could have made lots more money, but chose to be with my children instead.

Kate does not use her fame to help her kids. Without her kids, we would not know who she is/was.

When Jon and Kate had their last couch interview at the end of season 4, Jon said Kate's 'career' was taking off and she wanted to pursue it (or words to that effect). I thought, a career? She doesn't DO anything. She doesn't have any skills she could use to carve out in the business so she could call herself a professional. She squirms around on the View and she's a nervous bumbling wreck on DWTS. You can tell those cameras intimidate her. She's on different turf and it shows. If she has any talent it's lying. It just amazes me that people are still buying into her story.

Jennifer B. said...

Yep, absolutely. The kids are just the selling point, the sympathy ploy. What she really wants (and is currently getting, by the way) is massive amounts of attention. She never wants the attention to end.

Unfortunately for her, she doesn't seem to be aware how fickle the American public is and how short Fame's attention span is. She will be forgotten by this time in 2011, mark my words. She'll have plenty of company in the mountain of Z list has-beens that will surround her. And she'll be miserable and probably then try to actively pimp out the kids in desperation.

It won't work.
