Is Kate's show dead in the water?

Baltimore Sun critic/blogger David Zurawik thinks her new show bombed with test groups and has been canned. We think so too. After Kate surfaced several months ago in a few tabloid shots filming tests of her new show, the only other places she has been spotted is the bus stop and running errands. Like we said all along, if TLC can't make money off her, they will drop her like it's hot, just like they did Jon. They are not her friend, they are in it for the business.

Did they ever say what the point of her new show was? It's not like she knows how to do anything but use her kids!

Kate has no talent, what could she possibly do?
Humiliate herself again and again. Sheesh, go away already. She is abusive to her children, her ex Jon, her family and the public...She is to dumb to see exactly what TLC has done to her. Made her the laughing stock of the United Staes. What a loser........She is unaware that she is unaware.

Thanks for posting this Administrator.

We really do not know what is going on but I do not think they really have anything or they would be working it....

All they have is 8 exploited children, a marriage over, debts they will never be able to pay, and Kate walking Rodeo Drive of Reading, Pennsylvania believing TLC is always gonna be their for her & her children. Which is exactly why Kate should have never put all her cookies in TLC's jar.

Dear adminimistrator, are you aware that the DA in NYC is meeting with Jon regarding the apparant apartment break in? This seems to be a legal matter, which I believe, would be a great story to post here! Instead of all the Khate.

Yes, I wonder sometimes when David Zurawik posts a poll or thought about Kate why articles about Jon spring up that feature him in the worst light. Radaronline is such a cheezy venue that caters to TLC so much it is laughable.

Kate has repeatedly proven she has no talent. Her appearances on various talk shows revealed she's not particularly interesting and has no idea how to appeal to an audience. Without her kids to use as props, she's got nothing. TLC had said the new show would premiere in March, but there have been no hints, no promotional commercials, not a word about it. If they had anything, you know they would be running teaser commercials by now.

As for Jon's meeting with the NYC DA, so what? It's nothing unusual, part of the investigation. Of course, ROL reports this as if it means something negative about Jon, when in fact there is nothing to indicate it's anything other than SOP.

I'm highly suspicious of this DA story and I'll tell you why. Jon has an attorney. The DA can't just sit him down and investigate him as a suspect if he has an attorney. They have to communicate with his attorney, and no attorney would tell Jon to talk if he were a suspect. There is still the right to remain silent. They can't "force" him to come to a meeting or "summon" him or force him to cooperate in any way. The right to remain silent is absolute. Now can they file charges against him? Sure. But this break-in happened over a month ago. If the DA had a case they would have filed by now. Of course they can always file if something new comes up, but I always tell my clients the more time that passes the less likely it is they're going to file. Most of my clients arrested for criminal matters are arrested within about 48 hours of the incident.

If the show was on track for a March premier, TLC would be hyping it to the ends of the earth. J&K+8 was their cash cow for years and I'm sure a spin-off would be promoted heavily.

TLC has given Kate several chances to show she has the skills to do a talk show and she has failed.

The View, The Leno Show (twice), Ellen, The Today Show, Larry King Live - if that is not enough of an "audition" then I don't know what is. In typical narcissist fashion, Kate has an unrealistic view of her talents.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Remember this happened with "Kate Plus 8"? TLC claimed they were retooling the show to be just about Kate. But nothing was ever promoted or anything. They kept insisting they were going to do it. It never happened and I don't think it ever was going to happen. They are doing the same thing here, stringing Kate along keeping her happy.

In a way I feel sorry for Kate. When is she going to realize TLC WILL screw her over? If it's not now, it will be a month from now. No network would EVER promise someone a show. It's all about ratings, money, and popularity. If Kate's numbers bombed, she's done.

@Administrator -

Thanks for your professional opinion on the Radar Online DA story. I've heard that Radar doesn't have an honest reputation when it comes to Jon Gosselin stories.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

What Radar does is sort of jump to conclusions I've noticed. If Jon is rumored to meet with the DA, they assume it's bad. Who is to say a meeting with the DA isn't just to obtain more evidence to catch the perpetrator? Radar immediately assumes oh they must be suspicious of Jon. That simply isn't the case that I can tell. When TLC got an injunction, they reported that TLC "won" their whole case. Um, no, they got a temporary injunction until the case is heard. That's hardly the same thing.

Sorry, but I don't feel sorry for Kate at all. After all the crap she put the kids and Jon thru, this will be a huge wake up call for this narcissistic b#$$$H.

The only one I feel bad for are the kids. Also Jon for putting up with her shlt only to have Kate throw him under the bus when he was no longer needed. (Kate thought she was going to do Kate +8) and chose that show instead of her marriage.

This brings back TLC lawsuit against Jon. The only reason TLC is doing this is out of spite. They want Jon to "reconsider" and maybe this lawsuit and media "ban" against Jon would somehow force Jon to release the kids to TLC and Kate for filming.

If only these two idiots knew hot to manage their finances, they would have lived comfortably for quite some time.

TLC knows that Kate cannot carry on a show by herself. And if Jon doesn't allow the kids to film come spring time, then Kate will be dropped.

If TLC had real plans for a Kate only show, then the show would have aired already. Why wait til spring?

The same time TLC is suppose to meet up with Jon in court. Coinkydink?

I wonder sometimes as the Jon & Kate plus 8 show grew. The books started, then Kate was offered the Healthtex clothing line "Just ask Kate.com", the cookbook, etc.

I think Kate got it in her head that she was the only "true star" of the family. I do not know for sure but from all I have heard Jon speak publicly of he probably wanted to scale back to a 8-12 episode season, with less of the extras. I also strongly feel he wanted a more lucrative contract with more things outside of TLC. Well, TLC sure did not want that & Kate was on a roll. Afterall, she was heavily promoting so alot of her time was spent outside the home. Now, there certainly is nothing wrong with dad's being at home dad's but maybe it was too much on Jon. Maybe it was too much on Kate. But, there could have been some compromise somewhere. That is what I feel lacked, with Kate you always get this feeling of "my way or the highway"

Also, the Gosselins led a lifestyle that the money would never stop rolling in. Now, because I think they have way more debt than cash savings they will not be able to sustain the current lifestyle without Kate reinventing herself. And, I do not think the public is buying into her as a "brand" anymore.

I think her big head & how all of this was handled really ruined her image. There is nothing wrong with a successful career, having determination, and drive. But, when you set your goals so unrealistically & you do not prioritize you are setting yourself up.

If Kate had spent half of the time she spent in the tabloid fodder, promoting herself, etc during the divorce she may have had a direction to go in. But, she wants it all now & TLC ruined her as much as she did. Because they let her take the long walk down the short pier without a lifevest.

Then again....maybe we are all wrong & no matter what TLC will do something with her. I am surprised she isnt promoting their other shows, etc. They haven't used her except to humiliate her that I have seen.

Excellent post. I agree, Kate's head grew and her heart shrank. Jon and the kids became necessary baggage in her quest to be the most popular girl in school. I have to think she shut Jon out more and more and then when he exploded (as any normal person would) she got this glazed over look and sighed, "I just don't know what happened to him. He became a different person."

As far as TLC putting her on The View again, does she not understand that for whatever their reasons, they're putting her in the dunking booth at the carnival and you can bet someone's going to hit the bullseye. Wonder who will be the other co-hosts. I guess we'll get to see Barbara fawn all over her again if she's there.

Just spent an hour laughing hysterically and rebutting the ridiculous comments on Radar. It's scary to think any one of them could be a friend, neighbor, or worse, a family member. Now they claim the FBI is investigating GWOP. Posting as anonymous for MY protection.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Investigate WHAT? I get threats occasionally, but thank goodness for the First Amendment. And all those public figure laws. Guess what, they have to prove ACTUAL MALICE now. Good luck with that, Kate/Jon! They made their public figure bed, now they can lie in it.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

And by the way, the truth is an absolute defense.

Anonymous said...

Yes, the truth is. I think the problem TLC has up its crawl is they were able to manipulate the media for so long & tell the Gosselin story the way that they wanted too. Good marriage, great mother...What a joke.

Let them investigate me & find out what I am a mother of 8. Gee whiz, boy that is sure gonna bring 10 years of hard labor.

Tlc, Jon and Kate made their own mess. They are the ones who lied to the public. And, last time I checked we are allowed in this democracy to call a lie a lie. When I started watching the Gosselins I never had to sign a contract with TLC. So, they can throw out their whatever whenever. I am on facebook & Z on TV all the time. If they want to haul me into court for an opinion, well I would love it.

Investigating GWOP...too funny!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

When someone calls a spade a spade and the other side doesn't like that, a tactic to distract from the real issue is to make a threat, say something or someone is being investigated, tell people "I know who you are" (oooh, I'm scared!) and other red herrings.

People who make threats simply cannot come up with a legitimate intelligent counter-argument to refute the points this blog and others have been making.

First of all, Administrator, you run a very well thought out blog, cudos to you.
I think if TLC had ANY idea for a possible show they would be spewing that all over the place nonstop. Could they finally have generated a brain and realized this entity has no talent, likeability, appeal, interest, you know, nothing that she can do that we want or need to see. Her kids were the draw all along and if she had been even semi-intelligent, she would have known that toddlers are cute and funny, but the older kids get, the less cutesy they are. This in turn should have been a clue to her that this life was NOT going to go on through the kids college years. That is what annoys her the most, she had HER sense of entitlement taken away, she's so delusional that she feels she IS a star (hard to be with no talent) and her narcissistic ego won't let her see that 'the party's over'. I think she chose Jon for his Asian heritage (it gave her multiples an edge over others) and once he fulfilled that need, he was superfluous and expendable. so, Bye bye Jon as soon as was statistically feasible. But TLC should have taken note of the plummeting ratings once it was almost singularly her. It seems to me that they are just peddling her out awaiting the end of the contract and then it'll be Bye bye to her as soon as is statistically feasible. And that's my 'wish to build a dream on'.
