Kids return from Florida alone as Kate takes off for L.A.

Apparently Kate or Jon couldn't be bothered to bring their children home from Florida. With Kate off in L.A. to tape Entertainment Tonight and Jon busy riding a snazzy bike with his new girlfriend (was this the bike he said TLC promised him awhile ago if he was good?), the kids were escorted by nannies/bodyguards from their working vacation in Florida back to Pennsylvania. And back to school, we hope.

I think this is all media manipulations. Think about it. Jon may have met them at the airport to get the luggage and kids on the bus. Just not photographed.

I think it is sad. Here you have 2 parents and trying to promote one as doing it all & the other as being a lazy, no good for nothing dad. Anyway, Jon earned this. He had his chance to do right by his kids and he chose TLC.

I actually think Discovery Cove is very educational and a great educational experience for them... I respectfully totally disagree.

Discovery Cove doesn’t sound like such a “very educational experience” to me. Sea World keeps these marine mammals as prisoners in barren concrete chemically treated tanks. They reside in a pool the size, to them, of a sink for dolphins and a bathtub for the orcas. These mammals would naturally swim up to 100 miles daily in the wild. Sea World wants you to believe it’s OK to take animals like dolphins and whales out of their natural habitats, where they socialize with their families and imprison them for “entertainment” and profit. We wouldn’t force our relatives to live in cages tanks, I think that there should be a permanent ban on issuing permits allowing dolphins to be brutally captured and used as attractions at theme parks and resort hotels. They really are like our cognitive cousins.

At Sea World, orcas & dolphins perform circus-type tricks for food; swim in endless circles and live decades short of their 60 & 50 year maximum life spans in the wild. The vast majority of dolphins held captive in marine mammal parks, die a few decades short of their natural life expectancy. These ocean animals inhabit vast, fascinating and complex worlds. Dolphins and orcas share intricate relationships.

Every dolphin is a self-aware individual with a unique personality, so it's no surprise that these animals are perceptive to their surroundings and susceptible to stress-related illnesses. If they're so intensely affected by the mere presence of humans, just imagine the kind of irreparable trauma they suffer when they are brutally pulled from the ocean and placed in Sea World’s chemically treated prisons.

Dolphins think, plan, and communicate with one another. In the wild, they spend their entire lives in large family groups. Removing them from their natural communities is very traumatizing and often results in stress-related illness and very premature death. Dozens of bottlenose dolphins have died at Sea World facilities. Marine animals are literally dying to entertain us. No captive orcas or dolphins die of old age.
Dozens of bottlenosed dolphins have died at Sea World. Only through a whistleblower did it get reported that at Sea World’s Discovery Cove “swim with dolphins” attraction a dolphin named Dixie gave birth to a stillborn infant. What’s more, even though Sea World knew that Dixie was due to give birth; the park apparently did not have a veterinarian available for Dixie at any point during or after her labor. She was forced to endure this traumatic experience—and its aftermath—without proper care.

Admin,
No, this was not the bike Jon was promised long ago when he was part of the charade called Jon and Kate plus Big Bucks.

Jon's bike was one that was custom made by the guys at OC Choppers in which he was filmed, taking part in it's construction. The bike Jon had was custom made, would retail for 35,000 dollars and TLC contracted it and it just may be back in NY at the Tuttles new shop.

Typical of the Gosselins, they used the kids for filming and head back to town to drop off the 8 little anchors/money makers and then back out for more filming.

2010 score: Gosselin Kids = 0 Gosselin Parents = more camera time.

(Part 2)

This information was revealed only a few short weeks after another dolphin, Scarlet, and her unborn fetus died at Discovery Cove. In that case marine scientists were notified by the whistleblower that the necropsy revealed that Scarlet’s uterus had ruptured while she was pregnant, causing the calf to be released into her body cavity. The scientists immediately contacted the USDA and requested that they investigate. They also asked them to determine whether Scarlet’s prenatal care was adequate and whether pain relief and appropriate veterinary care were provided during the one week period after Scarlet went into labor without giving birth that ended with her death. The USDA is notoriously negligently slow, IMO, in taking any significant action with these parks, attractions, zoos etc. Just look at their deplorable record in the protection of horrendously abused elephants.

Sea World doesn’t want you to know that these highly intelligent, social animals are denied everything that is natural and important to them. They don’t want you to know that captured dolphins suffer from depression and physical diseases. In addition to the criminal lack of exercise and mental stimulation, marine scientists have proven that many of them are being driven mad by the sound of their sonar, which constantly bounces off the tank walls.

Marine scientists also maintain that the study of dolphin behavior in captivity is an unsound way to learn about how dolphins live in the wild. Dolphins are forced to perform stupid stunts & tricks that are as unnatural to them as they are inhumane. Their worlds have been reduced from fathoms to gallons. Is it any wonder that they are being driven insane by their diminished and cruel lives?

Dolphins really are geniuses, second only to humans, according to a new study that was completed in Dec 09. Scientists studying dolphin behavior suggested dolphins could be the most intelligent creatures on Earth after humans. This discovery displaced the Chimp to the #2 spot and elephants remain in 3rd place. They determined that dolphin behavior and brain size suggests very complex intelligence. Several scientists even said that dolphins should therefore be treated as “non-human persons” and granted rights as individuals.

(Part 3 - The End)

In the 26 years that I have been a frequent & avid scuba diver, I have had only one magical experience where a wild dolphin made the decision to interact and came to play. IMO these should be the only people/dolphin interactions that occur.

What happens to the dolphins if they decide that they don’t want to perform? Dolphins in captivity are not given the option to end interactions or performances when they would like to. They are trained through ‘operant conditioning’. This means that satisfaction of hunger is dependent on performing tricks. Hunger is deliberately induced so the trainer will be effective and please the crowds. Though a complete food portion is ultimately provided each day, the use of food for doing tricks reduces these animals to little more than beggars who perform in exchange for food.

Do dolphins have to perform all the time or do they have ‘holidays’? Captive dolphins often work 12-hour days without a break. Whether it is performing for the public or participating in dolphin pool encounters, dolphins are forced to participate. During performances or petting sessions, their ears are assaulted by blaring music and the noise of people splashing water or slapping the sides of the tank to get their attention.

Kids have never seen real dinosaurs yet they have mastered their importance through many venues. Walking With Dinosaurs features “live” dinosaurs roaring and stomping around the arena, chasing each other, foraging, and protecting their young. The life-size T. Rex towers over you. Using animatronics, lighting, and sound effects, the show is thrilling family-packed audiences.

Thanks to Animal Makers, kids with cerebral palsy, autism, head injuries, Down syndrome, and other developmental disorders, are getting the chance to interact with “TADs” (therapeutic animatronic dolphins) that move and even make squeaky dolphin noises at a state of the art program in Key Largo, Fl. Kids get to play with really cool life-like robots, dolphins get a break. It doesn’t get any better than that! http://www.animalmakers.com/BehindTheScenes/TAD/

Hollywood is expert in animatronics and other state-of-the-art virtual reality exhibits. These could be used in place of the current live-animal shows to provide park visitors with an exciting, educational experience. In fact, showing visitors a more realistic version of what life is like for real marine mammals. To continue to display this unnatural captive animals’ chemically controlled prisons with their repetitive behavior patterns—which are linked to their oppressive environment—this alternative is actually more educational, with no risk to human life. The only way to get Sea World’s abusement park’s attention is with our wallets. I urge everyone we know to say “No Tanks” to cruelty by boycotting Sea World.

I totally understand I am extreme when it comes to this topic, but I do not believe in zoos, circuses, sea mammal parks, or any kind of amusement the locks up animals for my enjoyment. An animal doing tricks for laughs is not "educational." True scientists view animals in their wild habitat. I'm not going to judge you for taking your kids there (unless you're just there to film them for your TV show), but it's my choice not to go there myself or take my kids there.

I went to this marine park in Israel on the Red Sea that was under the ocean so you could view all the reefs and fish and sealife in their own environment without disturbing them or making them do tricks. It was great because you still got to see everything way up close, without really hurting them.

By the way, other than when Kate took the kids out to LA to visit her and they maybe spent a few hours at Disneyland, this is the first vacation we've ever seen of them since the show ended way back in September (October-ish?). This family does not go on vacations unless they are 1. filming and 2. making money off it.

You know what's really sad about that picture???? Any of us who are parents can probably relate. Yesterday afternoon, I was driving my youngest son back home to his mothers house. We were laughing about the old days, the good times and just reminiscing. For the past six years, I used to lease a condo in Ocean City Maryland during the off season, from September 1st till May 30th.

My visitation with my kids was twice a week and every other weekend but the kids wanted to spend every weekend with me so they could go to the beach and spend the weekend at the condo, on the water. We had a blast and from Friday afternoon till Sunday, late at night, when they had to go home, we spent quality time with each other.

It was my report card, the other day when my youngest son told me how much fun he had during those weekends and relived the memories. My kids weren't a burden anymore than any of your kids were. They were just kids. I was a not a single dad, I was a divorced dad.

This past Sunday, while taking my youngest son back to his mom's house, it hit me...... I realized that I can't get those days back.....those good memories my son shares, I remember and tried to create.

I'd give anything to relive those days when the kids, all three of them were younger, we were all together and the great times we all had together as a younger family.

We can't get these times back with your children. We can only rely on good memories. Kate and Jon have sold the kids to the media and the only memories they may have will be the direct deposit slips into their bank accounts. What a complete waste.

Sometimes the best conversations I ever had with my family was the ride home from a trip we had taken, whether a big vacation or just a trip to grandma's a few hours away, talking about the trip, the fun times, laughing, etc.

It's disgusting to drag these kids down to Florida during the middle of the school week, force them to go to various parks and other events to film it all, then abandon them to take off to LA or your girlfriend and stick them on a plane with the hired help.

I know we all have different opinions on the school issue, how much or how little is okay to miss, but I think it's not so much that they missed school, but that SCHOOL is supposed to be your job when you are 6--not putting on a happy face for the cameras and paying for your father's bike. What kind of values and ideas about school is it teaching your kids when at 6 you pull them out like this? If the kids want to skip school to go have fun at 16, how can you ever tell them that's not okay with a straight face?

PatK said...

Admin,
It's not the school issue, it's not the family or lack of it that's the issue. It's not even the freebies, the trips, the fortune these born grifters are making, it's the EXPLOITATION that riles us all. Let's not forget it. All of our kids deserve life on a gold platter. Unfortunately, many of us can't provide that. What ALL of us can do is PROTECT our children, give them the best we can, the best we can afford and the love they deserve. We hold their hands for such a short time but we hold their hearts forever.

Since it does appear by the above photo that neither Jon or Kate were traveling with the children on their return trip from Florida ... my, my, my, let's see ... we've gone from where Kate would put tape over her children's names on their backpacks so strangers cannot call the kids by name in a crowded airport to having "strangers" (a body guard and nanny)travel with the children while MOM goes off to California to be on ET.

Kate's days are numbered about being labeled a great mom. This article proves that people are watching and catching on that Kate is far from it and that she does seek fame and fortune over the health, safety and mental health of her own kids.

NancyB,
I didn't watch ET tonight and didn't even bother with DWTS tonight so I can't say wether Kart was a host on ET or lost on her commentary on DWTS. She's a polarizing figure and the media plays on that. She is what's HOT on television because of this blog and the many others out there.

We talk about the family, the parents and the rile we feel and the networks read it, take note of it and continue to put her out there.

She will be out there long after her TLC shows tank only because people Google hit her name, hit the "read on" messages on Perez Hilton, TMZ, Dlisted and ROL. Everyone wants to see her hit the wall but the more people google it, she'll be out there and she'll have more opportunities in the public eye, just because she's "Kate" and just because people want to see her hit the wall.

She's not going away and despite the fact that we can't stand what she purports to be, she's still going to be a polarizing figure as long as the public continues to google her. Unfortunately, Kate is going to be like a case of Herpes. She keeps on coming back and there is no cure for it.

Anonymous, you claim to know a lot about their school.

Let's just assume you are right and the children aren't doing one thing academic in the next several weeks (some expensive private school that just treats it like a glorified daycare the last bit of school, I wouldn't pay for that). Aren't they in any case missing the BEST part of school? The FUN stuff they worked hard for all year? And just because you are not reading a book doesn't mean you aren't learning--crucial social skill learning happens when you spend lots of quality time with peers even doing fun stuff like slip and slide.

I remember at my school the last few days were half days and we had a "water park" one year with lots of water games like balloons, scavenger hunt, slip and slide, things like that. Sooo fun, I remember it to this day. What if my parents had pulled me out to miss that and film that? Well, I may have a memory of being filmed, but not of the makeshift waterpark my little elementery school tried so hard to make fun for us to reward us for the year.

Sorry, you'll never convince me it's okay to pull these kids out of school to put them to work for their parents.

Let me ask you this, if it's okay to pull kids out of school because it's just fluff and non-academic stuff at the end of the year, why should ANY of these kids go to school? Why not just have everyone pull their kids out? Heck, why have school at all?

Another point I've been meaning to make, what does it do to these kids socially to be pulled out of school frequently....how do their peers feel about that? Do they give them grief? Are they jealous and don't want to be friends? These kids just need to be normal and fit in with kids. Jodi says school was hell for some of them. I suppose she was lying about that too.

TheresaB said...

Kate doesn't "do relationships," even with her kids.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Sorry one more thing :-). These kids are not normal to begin with because they are a six-pack. Their whole academic life they will be known as the sextuplets. School is already going to be hard for them because they are the six-pack. Why make it ANY worse by singling them out with all this special treatment? Kate can't see past the nose on her face. Or should I say the dollar sign. That goes for Jon too and his bike bought with the children's money.

NancyB,

I have a really stupid question... Why does a dolphin need a doctor to give birth? Don't they give birth without one in their natural habitat? Does an unnatural environment affect their pregnancy/birthing?

SG said...

Did my comment about Discovery Cove get lost?

I thought Discovery Cove was different than Sea World. I was under the impression that it was a more natural habitat for them and not like "tanks". I realize they are swimming with humans, but is that bad? I'm against them being in tanks and swimming in circles and performing tricks, etc... I just thought Discovery Cove was more of a natural habitat. I guess I have to do some research on my own.

I'm definitely against circuses. I don't agree with elephants and tigers and lions doing tricks, especially ones that are so against their nature. Their enclosures can't be good for them and neither can all the travelling they have to do, etc.

Anyway, I will look into Discovery Cove.... Thanks NancyB.

A dolphin should be able to give birth without a vet. But this dolphin apparently was in labor for a week. They should have realized something was wrong and called in a vet immediately to help.

If you're going to take an animal out of their natural environment, you can't then say it's just nature and let them suffer and finally die when this poor girl was in labor a week. If you take an animal for your own gain, take full responsibility for her.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Discovery Cove is, in my opinion, tons better than just a small tank at seaworld. But it's still captivity, it's still not natural, they are still forced to work with humans and be "trained" for hours on end. It's not what they would be doing normally in the wild. I'm oppossed to any kind of captivity, even the "better" forms of captivity.

Small cage, large cage, little difference.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I think someday we'll look back on dolphin "habitats", Seaworld and the like, like society now looks with distain and regret at the way we gawked at and paid for freak shows with bearded ladies and midgets, the Dionnes, and ferrel kids.

My sister is a college student and her spring semester break didn't correspond with her 10 year old daughter's spring break so she took her out of school to go on vacation with her. She planned ahead and worked with her teacher on homework. It wasn't a bad thing.

What bothers me about the Gosselins is not that they took their kids out of school for a week but that they can't take them on vacation without TLC footing the bill. How about Kate and Jon put their differences aside and take the eight on a non-working vacation.

I am almost sure if Kate had said, "Hey Jon, I have to head out to LA on Monday. How about if you come to Orlando for the weekend and fly home with the kids on Monday" he would have said, "sure no problem".

Just to add to the Dolphin debate. When I was researching excursions while I was preparing for a cruise, I googled 'swimming with dolphins'. The horror show that awaited me was gut wretching.
Nevermind the torture they endure while being captured, but some videos you can actually see the fear and panic in their eyes as you watch the captors closing in on them.

Off the coast of Japan is the worst. And yes Sea World, cruise lines etc are the ones who purchase these kidnapped creatures. I implore anyone who believes there isn't utter torture, suffering and even death involved in the capturing of these beautiful creatures to search around the internet.
I have seen videos where the Japanese herald them in with giant nets. The lucky ones live through being trapped and not choking while getting caught up in the nets. The not so lucky are the ones that are coralled and then lay in wait (in blood stained water) as the boatmen make their way toward them with giant knives. And yes with the intelligent level of dolphins, they know very well what is about to happen.
After seeing all of that there was no way I could support this just so I could fulfill my dream of swimming with the dolphins. However while in Florida and on the cruise I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the dolphins swimming in their own habitat-the ocean which is the only place they belong. Sorry about the rant, but for people to think having dolphins do stunts for them or getting to ride on their back is generated out of love for those creatures-well I hope it's just ignorance.
Just think about it-really think about it. How do those animals get to these entertainment destinations? They're not answering to Here Kitty Kitty-They can only be cruelly captured against their will!

SG said...

Aren't the dolphins caught in Japan actually caught for food?

I was under the impression Sea World's dolphins were born in captivity. I know they help injured animals and release them again, as well as keep the ones that will not survive in the wild for whatever reason. Guess I'll be googling since I have insomnia tonight...

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

This is an issue that has facinated me since I was a child and cried at a circus. It's off topic but there isn't much going on in Gosselin-land.

Congress just held a Congressional hearing about mammals in marine parks at the end of April. Just google it to find out everything they discussed. Sea World was the main focus because Sea World is the one most famous for exploiting mammals, but ALL parks were discussed. That is the nature of hearings, if there is one standout example of something going wrong, that will be the natural focus even though maybe many people are doing something wrong. There is real DEBATE over the true numbers of mammals that are captured vs. born in captivity. Sea World claims almost all are born in captivity, while others say it's more like 70%. Dr. Naomi Rose of the Humane Society told Congress, “most of SeaWorld’s marine mammals, as recorded in the Marine Mammal Inventory Report, were in fact purpose-caught from the wild as healthy juveniles or are captive-born descendants of such animals.”

I suppose she must just have an agenda! She must be just trying to make money off the whales! She just wants to be famous! Her testimony cannot be credible!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

The irony is Sea World claims to help animals that cannot survive in the wild, yet they are grooming all these mammals in a terribly unnatural situation such that they can't survive in the wild because of Sea World themselves anyway, not because they are sick or injured or dumb.

And what happened to the natural order of things? The weak don't survive in the wild, that is nature. Naturalist photographers don't rescue a zebra from the lion. The lion eats the zebra and it dies, nature. I have no problem rescuing an animal because it got caught in some oil or a boat, that's our fault. But if an animal is sick or hurt because animals get sick or hurt, why is it so very noble for Sea World to step in?

Admin,
I responded to Schmecky asking about the implications of pulling kids out of school. As a teacher I think that one of the most dangerous things for the little kids wouldn't be the missing of academic material, but rather that if these guys are frequently absent the rest of their peers would not see them as part of the cohort.
If I was a parent of multiples (and I've taught a number) the best case scenario has been if the kids are split up. The develop their own friends and their own personalities. My experience has only been with low order multiples, here in Australia our reproductive specialists don't seem to go for mass implantation! But we did have twins at the school I teach at where the mother insisted that they be always kept together. In this relationship one child was submissive, one dominant. The dominant one did everything for the other to the extent of making friends for her. When separated on one of their first exams, the submissive child melted down on me because she couldn't choose a topic, that was what she needed her sister for.
At this point we had a school psychologist intervene, and the school started to subtley separate the girls. Toward the end of their schooling this same young girl came and thanked me for 'freeing her'. She hadn't realised until I sought her help, that she was allowed to be her own person.

How much more will the Gosselins feel this!

The other point, about the end of school and the fun stuff. I went to a school where we did the fun stuff at the end. Great thing to hold over the heads of naughty kids! The school I work at currently adheres to longer holidays, and no fun stuff. I teach and assess up until the last day. I think our kids miss out though. For me school isn't just about learning (I think I might lose my teaching licence for saying that!) but about memories and relationships. Some of my fondest memories from school come from the discussions had with teachers at these 'fun events', as well as the memories made of time spent with friends.

An aside to that is that if I was (and I'm not!) a member of a class and saw kids not doing all the hard work during the rest of the year, being pulled out to go on holidays etc, I'd be inclined to be very resentful if they then rocked up for the fun stuff. I'm sorry but these things should be a reward for working hard all year, and that's how they were used at my school.

I have something Kate will never have in her lifetime and probably will never know. I have the true love and respect of my three (grown) children. On Mother's day I received three beautiful and thoughtful cards. All three had a very poignant message from my children and I will treasure those cards as long as I live. Kate doesn't know what she is missing by ignoring her precious children. These are days you can't have back. I now spend afternoons with my youngest daughter and my new (and only) grandchild. I hate to miss one day seeing him because, as I mentioned earlier, it is days you can't have back.

1. Nancy B, I agree.
2. Did anyone check the ticket prices of this jaunt? My family sure can't afford it.
3. Suggestion for a new show. Amy Roloff and Khate trade families. The 8 would love Amy and Amy would love them. Can you see Khate freaking out in Amy's kithcen and the kid's bedrooms and having to deal with a 'husband' who does exactly what he wants to do??? Think of the senarios that would throw Khate off balance.

why be so harsh on Jon? Doesn't Kate have primary charge of the children? She says when Jon may see their children. give the poor guy a break!

Why is it that the nanny can take care of the kids by herself,but Kate seems to have a problem even with the nanny there? I don't think she is ever alone with the kids is she? I'm sure she won't be home till the end of May!!!!

Judy said...

NT....If Kate doesn't get home until the end of May,I consider that a good thing. The kids have been stuck with her in Fl. for a week now and I'm sure they will enjoy the break.
I know I've enjoyed the break from Kate being off my TV and mainly off the internet for a week.
She's back now in full force !

Thx for the info on Dr. Naomi Rose - will Google and learn more. We are scheduled into Discovery Cove this summer....having strong second thoughts abt this.

I too agree the kids need a break from her. They are probably so much more relaxed with the nanny, and no doubt Jon will be there some (or most?) of the days Kate will be rubbing elbows with the celebs in CA. I truly do not believe Kate enjoys being with her children. If she did, the paps would get the occasional picture of happiness exuding from her when she is with the children, but you never see it. As much as Radar IMO is up her butt all the time, if there were happy pictures, they would print them. But unfortunately, there aren't any. How very sad for a mother to never be able to smile when she is with her children. She is missing more than she will ever know, and I do not think she cares, and I don't think she will ever care. As long as she gets to chase her dreams, that is the #1 important thing to her.

Interesting.........US Magazine had a video of Kate interview the 'real' stars of DWTS, and they mocked her style. Now it's gone. I went back to read the comments because there are no ROL groupies there and the comments are quite hilarious (usually). But it's all gone!

If I were a Mom that the paps chased after, even when I was with my children, I would not smile either. You will notice that most people the paps photograph when they are with their children, rarely, if ever, smile. The paps should not be running after people, shouting questions when their children are present!

She doesn't smile with her kids unless it's a TLC camera IMO.

Scratch my earlier post. The video is posted again on US - and they cleaned up the story and rounded up some Kate supporters to post. Funny!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When she is out in the driveway, she is NEVER smiling when she's with the kids. An excuse can't be made that she isn't smiling because the paps are all the way down by the road because if she was that worried about the paps seeing her, she would be in the back of the house, or she would have had something installed out there in the front to block their view. She is just plain miserable when she is with her kids. She only wants to be a star, and she's not happy unless she's playing a star. What she needs to learn how to be is a MOTHER ! Mother isn't just a word, and she has 8 kids there who did not ask to be brought into this world.
Schmecky, your girls are too young for you to know, but mine are in middle/high and we have seen it is more often than not that parents DO pull their kids out all the time. they just up and go to Disney most of the time, 3-4 times per year. I think it is horrible. Now at the older age, we see kids out for weeks for modeling, singing, acting and vacations. I know it sounds like I am making it up but I am not. It is crazy and the parents don't care. As long as the kids bring in a note with the parent's approval, the school does not investigate.
I would. I'd show my children how to be courteous and the importance of being gracious, even if I were in a situation that at the time I found to be unpleasant. It's all about being a role model.
Peace begins with a smile. It's the light in the window of your face that tells people you're at home. The children need to learn as they go through life, rather than having a parent teach them to shoot pretend guns off a ship at the paps.
Oh, I am sure there is more than one nanny.The main nanny is Judy, but as caring as she seems to be, I'm sure she has a life somewhere other than the Gosselin movie set. Even she would need a break once in awhile.
I'm anxious to see if Kate will allow Jon to stay with the kids at all this week,while she is off making a bigger fool of herself.
NT, it looks like it's queueing up, but if you just hit the small play arrow at the lower left, it starts right up. At least it did for me. Note that in the first part with Evan, she talked about herself more than he talked. Isn't she wonderful? Oh, and that ain't no wonder bra holding her original fun bags up, either! Sorry to be so snarky today. Hormones, don'tcha know. At least I admit it and don't blame others for the way I am feeling and acting! HA!
That woman has alot of nerve! She claims to hate the tabloid reporters that film her, the same ones that ask her questions and she ignores yet she's one of them now. What makes her think she has the right to interview anyone when she pretends to hate the very same people she is one of?
Anonymous said...
Kelly, Could it be because the ones she is interviewing want to be interviewed? That its part of the show they are on.
Does she fly in private jets? I have never heard any stories of people seeing her on their flight....I doubt they can do first class with all 20 of them - not enough seats. So I am sure that she has to be in coach and it would be pretty impossible to go unnoticed. Just curious.
Do they fly on private jets for these trips? They obviously all can't be in first class (not enought seats for the 20 of them) So they would have to be in coach. I never heard stories from anyone who was on a flight with them. They would be hard to go unnoticed as I am sure Kate makes a big deal on the plane. Do you know who I am ???? Shoot, she probably sits in first class - the "help" has to sit with the kids. Anyways I am thinking Private planes only for this lady....Just curious....
fidosmommy said...
Ella, what we've been told in the past is that Kate and Steve ride first class and the kids and the helpers ride coach. Nice, huh? An airplane
trip might be a good time to have a long chat with at least a couple of the kids to catch up with their lives, wouldn't you think? Mady and Cara might appreciate some time with their mom.
For what it's worth, this was posted (this is an excerpt) on Kate's Take blog under the referee article:
Kate, I saw your children at the airport in Baltimore while you were in LA doing DWTS. They were well-behaved and I saw none of the behavior you describe, even though they had to be tired (it was very early in the morning) and hanging out in an airport terminal for 2 hours before boarding a plane. I was impressed with how they played together and didn't fuss or whine. Having said that, they were accompanied by FOUR (4-count 'em) nannies. Not a parent in sight.
I can confirm when I was a nanny at least in my situation, the kids and I flew coach and mom and dad flew first class. As soon as the kids were old enough to sit on their own, they were sent to the back of the plane.
i agree with just sayin'. kate smiles for the paps sometimes when the kids aren't there. reason for not smiling when the kids are there? to dissuade the paps from thinking they will get a smile or comment when the kids are with her to protect the kids.
which i believe is also the reason she has told the kids to ignore the paps, not talk to them and maybe why collin hides his face from the paps.
Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...
It's a personal choice whether you want to smile for the paps. A lot of celebs say always smile and they can never print a bad story about you. They always need a sorry picture of you to print a sorry story.
But there have been tons of photos taken from the fence of Kate with the kids when she apparently doesn't know she's there, playing with her kids, and still can't be bothered to enjoy herself.
NO, its because she's never happy with her kids. She hates every moment of it. It's hard work.
She enjoys the spotlight. When she's home with the kids or picking them up from school, she's either yelling at them or hitting them.
Linda in NS said...
Ella, please don't use "lady" to describe Kate. She is anything but.
IDModo said...
Most people photographed by the paps when with their children don't smile because they didn't call the paps in advance, and don't want them there. Kate isn't fooling anyone by pretending she is annoyed. And if she really wanted to protect her children she would get them the hell off television and let them live normal lives.
The children's reaction to the paps is pretty normal; all they want is to be with their mom or dad without intrusion. Kate welcomes the intrusion because it feeds her self-esteem and her pocketbook. I believe her annoyance is actually about being forced to be with her kids and not with her celebrity pseudofriends.
Anonymous said...
"which i believe is also the reason she has told the kids to ignore the paps, not talk to them and maybe why collin hides his face from the paps."
She said that she once explained to her children, when they asked why so many people were taking pictures, that it was so unusual for so many babies to be born at one time, and everyone loved them. What kind of a mixed message are they getting? Wouldn't these children wonder why they were shooting (from a ship) at someone who loved them?
Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...
Kate insults their intelligence. I think they are old enough now to know full well what is going on. Collin cowering away covering his face not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR TIMES is evidence of that.
Kids are NOT stupid and I hate when adults act like they are.
Kate has told the kids over and over again how much she HATES the paparazzi, so that's what the children learn. She passes her neurosis to all her kids..
What I see is that Kate is BORED with her kids. The only time she is happy is in front of a video camera, or on TV, or pampered by the Hollywood crowd.
I don't think she is "one of them." There is a difference between paparazzi and special correspondent. She is not following celebrities around and taking photos through the trees at their house.
I don't think Kate has a problem with being interviewed, she just doesn't like being followed.
E.T. uses paparazzi all the time for their stories, just because they have a studio and aren't wearing cargo pants out on the street doesn't mean they are not paparazzi.
Kate refuses interviews all the time, she only gives a select few to outlets like People whom she has an understanding with. She has refused any interviews at her book signing and speaking engagements. It was even in TLC's contract, no interviews, they said so.
My son works as a deckhand on a dolphin tourboat. They take people out for a boat ride in the back bays and only once did they not see dolphins. They do not feed them (it's illegal) and they explain during the tour why it's important not to feed them from boats. The dolphins are in a natural environment and seem to be very curious, but they do keep their distance. This isn't an episode of Flipper. They roll and jump in the wake of the boat and people love it. The people who run these tours definitely aren't getting rich off of it and it is certainly a very limited interaction when compared with something like Discovery Cove, but I think it is probably much more educational. The tour guide talks about the local ecosystems, the history of the area, and what people can expect to see besides the dolphins. No cement pond necessary.
We aren't sure what he will do this summer, though, since we are on the Gulf Coast and the oil spill isn't far from our waters. Mostly, though, we are worried about a natural gem that is in jeopardy. We have estuaries that serve as breeding grounds for all sorts of marine life, including delicious seafood.
Admin,
No, this was not the bike Jon was promised long ago when he was part of the charade called Jon and Kate plus Big Bucks.
Jon's bike was one that was custom made by the guys at OC Choppers in which he was filmed, taking part in it's construction. The bike Jon had was custom made, would retail for 35,000 dollars and TLC contracted it and it just may be back in NY at the Tuttles new shop.
Typical of the Gosselins, they used the kids for filming and head back to town to drop off the 8 little anchors/money makers and then back out for more filming.
2010 score: Gosselin Kids = 0 Gosselin Parents = more camera time.
