Tony's new partner: Guts of steel

Leah Remini spoke up when she saw something she knew was wrong. She was outcast by Scientology for it, but praised by others as courageous and a hero.

Dancing With the Stars kicks off again this month, and Tony Dovolani's partner couldn't be more of a firecracker. And an inspiration. Forty-three-year old Leah Remini has had steady work in Hollywood since she was 13 years old, and eventually, like many seasoned stars, found her way to the Church of Scientology. For years she was a devoted follower, until she started seeing some things that just weren't right. When she tried to say something about it, she ignited a war with the church.

Here is a summary of what happened this summer, from the L.A. Times:

Leah Remini made headlines in July when she publicly left the Church of Scientology. In August she filed a missing persons report for church leader David Miscavige's wife, Shelly, who allegedly hasn't been seen in public for six years.

"We can confirm that the missing person report has been taken, and that's all the information we have at this time," a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told Us Weekly.
TMZ confirmed that an ongoing investigation into Miscavige's whereabouts is underway. LAPD did not say whether Remini had any connection to the case, but a source told the site that Remini had filed the report shortly after cutting ties with the church last month.
Previous reports indicated that the "King of Queens" star left the church because it allegedly bars members from questioning leaders' management and reportedly forces them to "disconnect" from family members deemed "suppressive persons" if they choose to leave the church.
Remini told People that "no one is going to tell me how I need to think, no one is going to tell me who I can, and cannot, talk to."
Any previous tension Remini may have had with the church is surely being exacerbated amid these most recent reports.
In the past, Remini was allegedly derided by Tommy Davis, the former head of the Scientology Celebrity Centre, for asking about Shelly Miscavige's whereabouts at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' wedding in 2006. The incident was among the alleged reasons that Remini broke ties with the church. Davis reportedly scolded her and told her she didn't have the "rank" to ask about Shelly.
Former Village Voice editor Tony Ortega runs the Scientology blog Underground Bunker, which chronicles the church's inner workings. Ortega, whose reliability has been denounced several times by the church, reported that Remini filed the report recently. He also said that in 2006 Shelly was transferred to a "secret compound near Lake Arrowhead in the mountains above Los Angeles." The place is the headquarters to the Church of Spiritual Technology and is home to about a dozen Scientologists who are "completely cut off from the outside world," he said.

The church's response was that this is "harassment."

Tony's partner is a breath of fresh air. The only bully here is Scientology.

OT: what to do if you think you have been bitten by a venomous spider while cleaning the garage in the southeast USA. First, recognize that despite your best efforts to clean out the cobwebs and spiders, that there are into two tiny fang marks on your arm. Them go look up info about brown recluse spiders bites because I know what black widows look like and didn't see any of those lovely critters. (I like spiders and black widows are beautiful with that perfect red hourglass and shiny black body and one was living by the front door in my pink flamingo last summer and was fun to watch but it had to go to spider heaven I was afraid it would bite a visitor).
Next, be reassured that adults don't die from brown recluse bites, the amount of venom is too tiny to hurt adults. I took fifty milligrams of Benadryl and finished cleaning that side of the garage. Then I got something to eat, and then went to the urgent care place because the area around the bite was swollen and increasing in size, but still Les than two inches around the bite. Tell the story to the receptionist, three nurse, and then the doctor. Trundle off to the twenty for hour pharmacy and pick up my prophylactic antibiotic and go home, take more Benadryl, and go to bed. Also buy bug spay at pharmacy, because as much as I like spiders, I really do have to clean the rest of the garage and don't want a repeat performance.
the twidiots need to include spiders or sharks or urgent medical visits in their tweets to make them more exciting. the same old stuff is kinda boring after a while.
actually i'm jellus I missed the play by play of the twidiot tempest, and all the snacks and salsa!

Oh dear. I'm afraid this company has been terribly manipulated. Forward to who? The slander police?

And it might be a good idea for a company to know the difference between slander and libel. If it was in an email, it would be libel, NN.

&&&

They don't seem to be very discerning. They immediately jumped all on the bitter ex nonsense and started accusing someone of it without even so much as checking to be sure that was really Jon, not to mention doing their own research. I mean, seriously? Who gets involved in some ex-husband/wife feud? Usually you need to be pretty savvy to make it in business. Didn't silimom say their business is floundering?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I don't get why it's not ok to send a slanderous tweet *to* NN, but it's ok for them to respond with one.

&&&

They are really starting to annoy me now. THEY instigated the whole thing by accusing someone of being bitter and having ex issues. They keep adding fuel to the fire with their stupid statement they've changed a million times. THAT'S not libelous? Why in the world didn't they just ignore that and block like a normal person? Like Quilted Northern!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

FYI I know for a fact they have been warned about BV, it's been explained to them by some good samaritans that whole thing and why they shouldn't get involved and why they need to just back away now before they're in over their heads.

If they chose not to listen that is completely on them. It's been explained to them VERY CLEARLY.

I can't believe the naivete of NN. As business owners they desparately need better advisors, since they appear to have very little (or no) business acumen.

If they think anything is police worthy, by all means contact them. AND THEN TAKE THEIR ADVICE. Which is probably NOT going to be engaging ANY further on social media.

My next step would be to contact an attorney to protect myself and my business investment. AND FOLLOW THAT ADVICE! Which also is probably going to be to not engage further on social media.

My third step would be to hire a pr firm to help me blow this over, following the advice of the police and the lawyer.

I am astounded that they don't seem to recognize that ALL the parties involved are batsh*t crazy, and to stay far, far away.

Correct. And no one said that children should be banned from modeling. What was said is that the applicable laws, in which both New York State and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have very specific laws to protect underage models, must be followed. It is not a crime to ask someone to please follow the law.

Great advice and I'm ASTOUNDED too. Really astounded. How did they make it this far, their product is great, they seemed bright enough. WTH?

I think step one should be NONE of this should have played out in their public statement. Why do they keep putting that in there? Are they trying to act tough? What's with the play by play? If they make a statement at ALL it should have been a paragraph long with a simple apology and indication they have removed the review and they ask everyone to please move on now. Period. The end.

So what are they going to do now? Scour the inter web for posts about them so they can forward them to whomever? I think that BV may have them seeing $$ signs and they've jumped on TFW bandwagon in hopes of making a quick buck. They were very unprofessional at the beginning of this whole thing with the few original tweets that they got and I think Milo's "sting" tweet will come back to haunt everyone big time. At least TFW is being smart and not chiming in. I'd like to know whatever happened to "block the bullies and join the fun". I hope that someone advises them and tells them that this isn't really the kind of publicity that they want.

Still quiet huh? I actually have to give her credit. This is the best thing she can do is not say A WORD. The focus is really not on her right now or anything she's done. All the focus is on this company. She doesn't want all this bad PR. She's sort of a secondary character in this fiasco right now, oddly enough. She hasn't tweeted in three days, so maybe she's taking a mini vacation or something and will come back to this firestorm, but let's hope she's not tweeting because she found her brain and knew to stay out of it.

I think she may still pop in at some point with something smug to say, maybe she's furiously typing out some blog post like she did last time when something blew up, but so far so good.

Good to know. I was actually contemplating sending them something myself....warning them, don't get involved with any of the parties.

I was feeling like they were innocents being fed to the wolves, and I can't in good conscience stand by and just let them happen, even though *I* don't want to be involved in this mess either.

Their top priority should be protecting their business investment. Right now it appears that their top priority is definding TFW, the millionaire.

Poor, poor widdle TFW. A single mom, just doing her poor little best to support her poor, poor little kids on 1.56/day. And big bad Jon, aided by Robert and millions of other random people, just won't let her.

She needs this small company of 4 people, one of whom has a major illness, to risk everything they own to come to her defense. Poor millionaire TFW.

She's stayed publicly uninvolved, letting this small company take the hit. Nice. Classy. Not.

TFW will just move on to the next victim, while this company will go under, taking the owners' life savings away from them.

I usually always agree with you but this time I think she should stay out of it. :)

Quite frankly, Kate didn't spin them into a tizzy like this. It was their choice to react this way. I hate to say it, but this is not Kate's fault. It's not Kate's responsibility to tell them oh by the way I'm super polarizing and you PROBABLY shouldn't hire me. It's also not her responsibility to step in when people are upset. At least not that I see.

This is one of the few times where quite honestly, I don't see that Kate should get involved. I guess it would be nice if she stood up for them and asked people to leave them alone, but why should she do that when they are the ones who got themselves in this mess in the first place? It's not Kate's fault they haven't the first clue how to handle a PR mess.

The way they told it, if this is to be believed, they actually were the ones to reach out to her. So she can't even be blamed for going around trolling little companies to get freebies. The way they are running their mouths, this appears to be all their fault. They reached out to her without doing a simple google search to see they are involved with someone in a horrific lawsuit, they didn't do further research to see how controversial she is, and when it all blew up as it was sure to do, they handled it about as badly as any company could. What did Kate do? She collected her loot and payment and poorly wrote her review, then shut up--exactly what was expected of her. She's really not involved this time.

No Netz posted this on their page. Sorry if it has been posted here before-

Dear Public,
Thanks for contacting us.
We listen very closely to our customers, actual and potential.
We'd like to address how Kate Gosselin reviewed our product and how a product review process works . Clearly this choice of a product reviewer has really struck a nerve.
First, we did not send anything free to Kate Gosselin. We approached her to do a product review.
Product reviews (like Parent Tested Parent Approved , Consumer Reports, etc) work like this: You send them your product, you pay them a fee, then they write their own objective review - like these guys did for us here.
Its taking a chance since they might say something negative about your product.
But, as a small company with great belief in our product, we were thrilled when Kate Gosselin accepted and decided to take a chance.
The bathing suit worked for her boys and she wrote a great review.
However, it's just a product review. She is in no way a sponsor or spokesperson for NoNetz - just a product reviewer.
We are truly surprised by the response.
We paid $350 for the review. Just to put it in perspective, most large product reviewers charge at least $500 to do a review.
This review has inadvertently invited strangers to personally harass us. It's gone well beyond established business boundaries. We have filed a police report and will forward all mail , tweets or posts containing threatening or slanderous material.
At the end of the day, we want to sell responsibly made bathing suits that make everyone comfortable on vacation. Thank you for your support.

I just went back and read the entire NN timeline and quite honestly I didn't see any threatening, defamatory or liableous tweets. Most were in the vein of why would you use a (child exploiter, fame whore, has been, etc) to market your product. Others were more of I wouldn't buy a product from a company who uses a (pick any of the names listed above) as a spokes person. On the other hand, all of the fans bought suits (yeah ,right). What did seem to happen was that the haters, fans, and yes even the company used the company's timeline to argue. Goody, in her own way, supported our point that the company should have kept quiet.

@msgoody2shoes21: @BluMyst I was just reading the tweets. The "kritics" are a bunch of nosy bitches and @NoNetzSuits should not have answered.

Unless NN was sent threatening email or DM, I don't see a case. As I said, the fans and haters were arguing with each other which is nothing new and the company (for engaging in the first place) as well as the fans are just as culpable for keeping it going and tying up NN timeline. NN, your hands are just as dirty even more so for some of the nasty tweets you posted. You can revise your statement as much as you want, but the original and all subsequent versions are out there for all to see. Please just make a statement that things got out of hand and cooler heads prevail and drop it now.

By default, a review is inherently biased if the company paid for it. There's no such thing as an objective review when a company pays for it. They have a lot to learn.

No, who said that?

I do expect anyone, whether your business brings in 100 dollars a year or 100 million, to not accuse someone they don't know from Adam of being bitter about their ex. To not tell customers to "get a grip" and to not describe legitimate complaints about child labor laws as being "pissed off." To not post silly little graphics of people tearing their hair out in order to describe how they view legitimate customer complaints. I do expect businesspeople to be mature and kind to people. That's just basic human decency.

I work with small businesses all the time and I work with many people with no degrees, and they all manage to conduct their businesses on a much more mature level. There are a million other business who would never do such a thing. You don't need a degree to know how to behave like an adult. So no, they don't get a pass for how they behaved just because they're a little business.

By the way the CFO has a degree in Child Development from the very prestigious SUNY system in NYS. Someone with that degree would be well aware of the dangers of child exploitation. The CEO is a middle school teacher. A teacher! To be a teacher in NYS, you eventually need your masters. I think they give you only a few years to get it. Given she looks like she's at least in her 30s, I'm sure she has it by now. So, we're talking masters degrees here.

They're not stupid.

A teacher with a masters and someone with a degree in child development should be able to handle this, very easily.

Neither do I. If anyone is blowing this out of proportion, it's Kate's side. If even Kate hasn't seen the need to intervene, how bad can it be? If a true threat was made I would hope Kate would step in and ask people to please put an end to this.

That said, the NYPD is excellent and I'm sure is well capable of handling any threats. That's what they're there for. But they don't handle libel or slander. Surely college educated women would know that. If they want to pursue it further, they'll have to turn to the civil courts. I like the idea of a "rewind." They really need to just rewind and go away. It will blow over, but it's not going to blow over if they keep talking about it and fueling the fire.

OK, back to the topic at hand. It sounds like they probably have a good product. although my husband and son never had a chafing problem (I can't remember brother's complaining of this either) maybe some do. Those of us that grew up on the beach (Jersey Shore represent) knew enough to have kids wear a speedo under the suit if the net bothered them and my husband always wears a swim jock. Most of the lifeguards that I know go with the speedo. Would I buy their product? Maybe, but for the price it would have to last for quite a while.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

If there were any, could they have been sent through e-mail and not Twitter?

&&&

Could have been. But that makes it a heck of a lot easier to track the person. Even programs to hide your IP can be cracked by the police. Usually, people who do this kind of thing are savvier than that. They don't want to get caught, they want to be able to go on with their threats. That's why twitter is a great place for this kind of thing because twitter is unlikely to give you up. At the most they will just suspend you. If anyone is stupid enough to make a threat through email and expose themselves like that, that's their fault. And if it was through email, I would assume the very savvy Internet crimes department at the NYPD would have long caught them by now.

They posted everything else, why not post the alleged "threat"? I'm guessing it wasn't a threat at all. Probably just yet another vile and nasty and inappropriate message like many businesses get from time to time. They made it worse by claiming it was a threat that required police action. I don't know about others but if such a threat really came my way I'd be too busy making sure everyone was safe and the police were notified to go online making all kinds of public statements about it. I think they were fed information they are in danger and worked into a tizzy. That's why they said they need to look into whether their safety has been compromised. They were taken advantage of, IMO, worked up into a tizzy to make this seem far worse than it was. That side doesn't hesitate to take advantage of any golden opportunity to make Kate's fans look bad. That's the really shameful part in this, is that that side saw weakness and then pounced on it to take advantage of it and spin it in Kate's favor.

It's about time someone wrote about TFW's stink-bomb of a cookbook. One thing, though--they wrote that the book has been available for order for weeks. Typical ROL, they don't check their facts. The book has been available for pre-order for almost 6 months! The Novelrank numbers show that just over 500 have been sold on Amazon, and going by the one-half to two-thirds (fro other sellers) formula that one author wrote about on here, that would make her total sales about 750-850 books ordered. Ouch. Someone is going to take a huge loss on that 50,000 first printing.
I saw that the old "Kate wants a dating show" story is making the rounds again, too (apparently it will be in the upcoming OK magazine. Now, there's a reputable source!). TFW was pitching that idea two years ago, before K+8 was even canceled. Then last year, there were stories that she had signed on for a dating show but it hadn't been picked up by a network. I think there was even talk of casting calls for a KG dating show. Still nothing. Now the same old story is making the rounds. TFW really needs to come up with some new ideas. The dating show/cooking show/talk show ideas have been done over and over and over again without success.

"Make no mistake - we do not cave to bullies. If anything, we have erred on the side of over reaction - better safe than sorry for such a new arena."

It doesn't look good for them when they keep revising their statement, over and over. How many more revisions will they do?

They should have thought about what they wanted to say, made the statement and called it a day. The constant revisions just make them look bad and unsure of themselves.

NoNetz is so unbelievably unprofessional, not to mention, wishy washy. The drama never ends around Kate and never will.

She is like this terrible dark vortex and anyone who comes near her gets sucked in to a terrible spinning mess that just spins faster and harder the more they stay in it until they drown all beaten and bruised.

If TFW IS behind how this is being handled, how cowardly to do it all behind the scenes. I wonder if this company is wondering if they WERE set up.

Yes Milo, imply that Kate knowingly set up her haterz by manipulating a small company just to prove an irrelevant point.

I'm sure Kate is just bursting to thank you for that enhancement to her public image.

Their business and professional and educational background is on LinkedIn. There was no amount of "creepy" sleuthing involved, anonymous. I have no interest in that. Someone was implying they're just some no name small business who don't know anything about anything without degrees, I merely pointed out that in fact, they are highly, highly educated with excellent experience with kids, which is all information they chose to make public and is nothing to be ashamed of. Linkedin is a public site, it's not FB. If someone wanted everyone to know about their education, resume, business etc., Linkedin is how they would do it. They are choosing to be manipulated in all this and keep it going on and on, and it's a real shame how they've chosen to handle it, especially in light of how bright they clearly are.

Every time they keep changing their statement I start thinking more and more this is a set up or at the very least a massive manipulation for Kate's own gain. Who is chirping in their ear telling them to do this or that? Really sad for this company. I feel bad for them.

It's interesting that the company appears to not have done research on Kate, and someone posted that they no doubt didn't know about the controversy surrounding her, or the lawsuit, because it was only on television briefly, etc.etc., but yet they immediately recognized the avatar in the tweet as being a picture of Jon and thought he was the one sending the tweet. They knew that he was the "ex" and that there was no amicable divorce, but they didn't realize that Kate had so many "haters."

Good grief! From a quick google search. Here you go, kan do Kate. How can one person be soooo stupid.

The error could appear at the start of a load, during the middle or when the load completes. After the code appears, you cannot operate the washer anymore until it is repaired.

Function

The "F70" error means that there is a failure from the central control unit. The error can be either from the user interface, central control unit or wiring.

Prevention/Solution

Check that the wires have not disconnected or been exposed from the central control unit. If the wires are intact, check to see if the drum is rotating. If the washer drum is locked, the central control unit needs replacing. If the drum openly moves, the user interface needs replacing.

Warning

The washer must be unplugged before you work with wires. If you do not know anything about repairing washers, leave it untouched and contact a repair company.

==============================================

Wait a minute. They just implied that the standard "objective" review involves payment. Wtf? They falsely invoked Consumer Reports. For 90 some years, Consumer Reports has gone to extreme lengths to make it very plain they accept no money from the companies who make the products they review. Angie's List was started as a way to get factual, unbiased reviews of service providers. Reviews which didn't involve money. NNs weak explanation of how reviews work- "I send you free product and a nice sized check, then I pray you'll say something nice about my company" is just plain silly. Really? REALLY!?

NN has revised their "statement" so many times.... at any point did they imply TFW contacted them first? Because IMO, I tend to think what happened is TFW regularly surfs the internet looking for companies to send her freebies and maybe pay her for a review. She gets a paycheck & swag while the review *appears* to look like she's just giving a 100% random, honest, no-strings review of a product. When this NN thing backfired, they admitted that TFW was paid. Now there might be a bit of a disclosure issue.

The revised Guides specify that while decisions will be reached on a case-by-case basis, the post of a blogger who receives cash or in-kind payment to review a product is considered an endorsement. Thus, bloggers who make an endorsement must disclose the material connections they share with the seller of the product or service.

FTC blog disclosure guidlines

Now, after 'outing' (haha) Kate as being paid, they are backpedaling and trying to rewrite how 'unbiased' reviews work industry wide. Woops! ::wink::

Formerly Duped said...

I think the "whirpool" problem may be a red herring. But why not grift for a 3rd washer while she's at it?

Why would anyone consider her competent at anything or her reviews worthwhile? She can't do anything right, from dealing w/ appliance problems, to keeping her gas tank filled, to writing and selling a cookbook, dancing well despite professional instruction and a customized ballroom floor, to speaking/spelling the English language correctly. The only one of her 'several' books that did do well was written by Beth.

"Thug", my name and education IS discussed and no I don't like it. But it's not discussed in terms of correcting the record, it's discussed to harass me and my school. But, if someone tried to say I wasn't educated, I would want them to know that's not true. That was the only reason that info was put out there, when someone tried to say these women weren't educated leave them alone. There is nothing wrong with correcting the record and saying wait a minute, these women are highly educated, savvy, and should know better. The SUNY system is huge, it must have 30 different colleges maybe more. Her college was never named nor was the middle school ever named. You're not allowed to say someone is educated and is a teacher? Color me surprised.

Who?? I never went after any woman who set up a charity with Kate or any family. Not once. I didn't like that that Brenda woman gave Kate gifts for participating in a charity event, and neither did most people, but I never did anything about it and never would. We're allowed to say that's absurd. I remember numerous people were asking why an insured family needed so much help. It was not meant to harass, it was meant to just ask some questions about where people's money was going to. If I recall correctly, there was some dissension among the family over the money, which was a red flag. Most people want to be sure that no family feud is going to interrupt their money going to where it should. For instance, if dad wants the money for one thing and mom for another, what's going to happen? Will the money you gave be caught up in a legal battle? All fair questions and not meant to hurt the family, but rather to protect the money and make sure it helps them.

A lot of scams go on ALL THE TIME. It's okay to ask questions as long as you do so respectfully. If I set up a donation button here and said I needed help because I was sick, even though I have previously mentioned I'm insured, would you send money without asking any questions about that? Be real here, you would rake me over the coals for it and ask all kinds of questions and you know it. And you would have every right to.

At some point, asking LEGITIMATE questions about where money is going and what laws are being followed and so on got turned around as "harassment." I'm sorry, I think that's ludicrous. When we become a nation that stops asking questions, we truly become sheep.

I never have once emailed a company to try to stop Kate from associating with them. Not once. I cannot speak for anyone else. Move on please, this is not about me and it's getting creepy the way you keep turning it on me. And in the spirit of moving on, I won't say another thing about this company unless they chose to say something else. I wish them the best of luck, I love their idea.

Correcting the record said...

Thug I think I'm remembering this right, that the family put out some kind of facebook message or other statement clarifying what charity the money should go to. The implication was other charities set up by dad's side of the family were not valid. It begged the question what exactly was going on there and if they were going to be fighting over the donations. They put it out there that there was a problem with money. The public then asked questions, it's natural. It's not like the public attacked them first trying to stir the pot. The family stirred it first by indicating there was an issue.

I had the same questions posed by the tragedy especially since I live in the area and was touched by that terrible tragedy and gave them money. Nothing wrong with that. I hope they sorted it all out and are doing O.K., as well as can be expected anyway.

Dear Thug:
You said:
"Now your position is that small businesses should Google Kate's name to find out important information before asking her for a product review. "

My position is that any legitimate business should do their due diligence before associating themselves with a known figure, whether it's an A-lister or a D-lister, or a has-been fingernails scraping the bottom of the barrel Kate Gosselin. That is what separates savvy from foolish in the business world. The fact that a company chose not to do some due diligence and got burned should be a lesson to them, one they will never repeat, and can easily bounce back from.

It also goes to show that having a college education or secondary degree does not always translate into business savvy or street smarts. Sounds like this was some growing pains on the part of NoNetz, and only time will tell if they are willing to learn from mistakes or continue to cry "poor pitiful me."

When you think of how Steve Jobs was actually pushed out of the company he started and had to pick himself up, dust himself off and start all over again, only to rise up and become a phenomenal success -- I guarantee you that didn't come from crying and feeling sorry for himself (or at least, not in the long term). Imagine if that man wasted time crying about being bullied.

-----------------------------------------

Since when is asking a question bullying? Since when is inquiring about where donations are going harassment?

It has nothing to do with Kate Gosselin, it has more to do with Americans being trusting and giving people at heart. We always have been. We always help someone in need and take their situation at face value, no questions asked.

Times have changed. At least once a month I read about someone being arrested for claiming to have a serious illness (or their child is ill) and they took donations. Only to find that they were lying. Embezzlement by treasurers of youth sport teams and fire companies seem to be occurring on a regular basis, too. 9/11 related scams were rampant and the number of people who made false claims for 9/11 benefits was staggering. Years back, a family in my area used donations they received after their toddler died in an accident to buy a $40,000 pickup truck. Part of the money was supposed to pay for the child's funeral. They stiffed the funeral home.

There used to be some boundaries that were rarely crossed. There now is a whole new segment of the population who will shamelessly do anything for a free buck. Key word being shame. Shame used to be a motivator in guiding the direction of our moral compass. To adjust for this sad new "normal," questions must be asked.

Pathetic isn't it. She lays it on pretty thick. Who has a laundry day any more? Even with one measley top-of-the-line front load "whirpool" she'd still be throwing in a couple of loads a day and if she doesn't, she should have her head examined. An appointment which is long overdue anyway.

It was ... odd. Nekkedish and odd. Many people found it odd. There is a good chance that many people contacted the Red Cross about the oddishness of that picture.

OK, this is how dumb Nonets is> it's called> ignore, block, delete, a very simple concept. Cause, the only thing NN is doing by responding to haters and non-fans, people who don't like Kate is> setting rule, that if you have a question about their product and they don't like what you ask, they will report you to the police. Now mind you, this question could be about a defect or damaged product, and maybe NN will argue that it was your fault and not take a return back, and the customer and them get into a e-mail war etc, and things get nasty, and what they go to the police. This makes the company combative, hard to deal with, not pleasant, I would not want to buy one of their suites and maybe have to return it cause it was wrong size or something wrong with it, and have to deal with them. This makes for bad press, they should have just answered some of the questions, ignored the nasties, by blocking them and deleting.

I also see that the media ROL is saying now that Kate's cookbook is tanking. Her coupon site is also bad. Expired coupons, codes that don't work. That is cause Kate puts very little effort into anything> her writing, research, coupon sites(the good ones) will tell you, they are on the watch 24, they research, and update all the time. Not when they feel like it, or depend on a auto up-date.
And now her washer won't work BOOHOO! you have another washer, stop crying!

Yes, sadly so. I think the real question is how did we get to the point where so many scams and shady dealings have occurred that unfortunately we can't just write a check and not worry if it's really going to where it's going. Tonight I noticed a facebook link and went there.

It belongs to a photographer from Shillington Pennsylvania. Could that be Robert?

If you look at the pictures, there is a picture of Jon, along with many other people.

:-) Thank you for the compliment.

Heidi Ho - Thinking about my last post in response to your links to the Crystal Cox sites, if I came across as patronizing I apologize. That wasn't my intent. I understand the concern many feel for Robert and Jon in regards to this lawsuit and the desire to help them, especially Jon. I believe that's where you were coming from when you posted those links. I commend you for it.

My take on the situation is this: Both Jon and Robert are adults and they knew what would likely happen when they decided to publish this book. I know I am saying "they" even though Robert has stated emphatically that Jon had no hand in writing it. While I don't think the book was written the same way Beth "and Kate" wrote Multiple Blessings, I do think Jon allowed Robert access to his friends and family.

Anyway, they are adults and they knew the likely outcome and they went ahead and did it anyway. It sounds like Robert consulted with lawyers the first time she hit him with the Cease and Desist letter from her attorneys and I'm sure he has representation now. As for Jon, he's been through a lawsuit with TLC back in 2009. He has very little to lose anymore and I doubt Kate's threats scare him one bit. He knows Kate better than anyone here and if he's not worried, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Ultimately, it will be as it will be.

Regarding No Nets Swimsuits: This one is done for me. They have stated they received what they perceived as threatening emails/tweets/what have you and they've contacted the police and filed a report. If that is true, they did the right thing and it's now up to the police to investigate. This is the advice we've been saying since day one and I'm glad they took it. The matter is out of anyone's hands and as I said before, it will be as it will be.

Good night. :-)

F70 = Overheating sensed causing dryer stop until temperature reaches(drops) below set level - determined by manufacturer
Can be caused by different contributing factors;
1. poor airflow
2. blocked air flow screen inside tumbler
3. clogged lint screen
4. slow tumbler (low revolutions)

She needs to get someone out and clean the vent from the dryer inside all the way through to the outside and put the correct cover on the outside.

You can also buy one of those long needle nosed hoses that attach to your vacuum cleaner and it will clean your lint filter inside the dryer. You wouldn't believe how much you could get out of there.

It should be done every week.

It may appear Crystal Cox is slightly batty when you read what J. Rushie, PopeHat, etc., have to say on their blogs about the lawsuit against her. Then if you put what Bullyville does/says and know that they work and/or are associated with Rushie, Randazza, PopeHat and possibly Vivid it starts to make sense.

Don't remember who it was that bought Crystal Cox blog names and is writing on what was her blog but it did say they were anonymous, that makes it a little more intriguing.

Use RWA for an example and the current lawsuit against Jon, Robert and from what Bullyville and his tweeters say, some of the does are people that don't agree with what Kate Gosselin does in certain situations, aka haters, and the pieces fit together.

Would be nice if a legit news source(if there are any) would sort this out and do a factual piece including Kate's involvement. She has been in the news lately, mostly tabloids and ROL did start writing about the whole mess with her and Bullyville. Wouldn't the timing be good if the Today Show picked it up before she was scheduled to be on? I wonder if your man Anderson Cooper would be interested? He did a story on something having to do with one of the 'villes.

Now I feel like I have to have a disclaimer if I comment about this stuff. This is just my opinion, err thoughts, err I couldn't stop my brain from thinking. No harm is meant to anyone. I may not be right in the head and therefore cannot be held liable for anything my brain may think to question, please don't break my kneecaps.

Oh, when Crystal Cox used the word sheeple I did laugh, it was not a thought out reaction.

That was due to the landlord not properly venting and cleaning the hoses. I found out from the fireman it was actually the SECOND fire, the first being a year before (which ticked me off to no end.)

After the discussion about dryer fires here I disconnected my vent and blew it out with the leaf blower. I had no idea how much lint could accumulate.
It's highly flammable stuff. I put a handful of it in the fire pit and lit it. POOF!

I feel bad for Mr. Whirpool.
Has anyone on Twitter pointed out that they're all tweeting the wrong person? Can he sue? ;)

I think that someone did last night, but it obviously did no good. They are still tweeting the Russian Whirpool!

First off, this is from my husband who reads Popehat regulatly:

To the best of my knowledge, the only time Popehat has been involved with Randaza and Bullyville was over the revenge porn site and Popehat took them to task, saying in effect the ends don't justify the means. If I am incorrect, please let me know. I am not perfect and I make mistakes.

As for your comments about having to watch what you say or your knees might be broken, that seems a bit extreme. I'm sorry you feel that way. I am assuming you do not post here regularly or you would know that while we engage in lively debate here, everyone is welcome to express their opinion whatever it may be as long as they are respectful. Yes, you will likely have multiple commenters disagree with you. That is the nature of debate.

How much do you think TFW made with Multiple Blessings? I wonder if she was counting on making a LOT of money with this book. Ruh Roh

"Her book is bombing in pre-sales and it when it comes out in two weeks it's going to bomb even more. It makes no sense to buy a cookbook from someone who never cooks."

Check out this comment:

I live about 15 minutes from her. She has always been a money hungry, nasty bitch. At the height of her "fame" she would go to the grocery store with 2 bodyguards and have them stand at each end of the aisle she was shopping in, blocking anyone else from going into that aisle. Everyone around here has always hated her.

All of her appliances seem to have error codes, which seems to me to mean they are high end. And they were free. I have never owned an appliance that gives an error code. Does she realize how good she has it? If my washer broke, there is no code. I would be googling the noise/situation.
******
It really is nice having error codes. It's beyond easy to Google it and find out how you can possibly fix it yourself.
Our dryer wasn't getting clothes as dry as we wanted-- had to keep on cycling it--so I looked it up and ordered a $20 part and DH Googled how to replace it and viola!
Fixed.
I'm guessing with Kate, she's got "learned helplessness" because she's had so many people, paid and otherwise, who have been there to lead her by the nose.
Hell, she couldn't find her way through a stupid airport! Or, drive a couple miles away from home to a radio station!
NN acting like they're just too busy to have known Kate has a lot of "haters" is just lack of preparing, and thinking, really.
They cast a wide net and took in anything they could get. Well, they got chum and instead of throwing it back, they used it.
Their bad.
To call everyone that objected to using Kate "haters" is disingenuous and insulting. I don't hate Kate. I do feel that she has and still is using her children for profit.
When you pay someone to write about your product, you are GREASING THEIR PALMS and the result will be influenced by your GREASING THEIR PALMS.
So this sanctimonious shite about "everyone does it" is a child's excuse.
Maybe their product is the next best thing to sliced bread. If you want folks to know, do in HONESTLY.
No wonder NN and Kate found on another in this big world of ours. Both so victimish.

My dryer was "professionally" cleaned as a fringe benefit of washing machine repair. (Which actually was turned out to be the issuing of a death certificate.)

The repairman told me several horror stories of lint accumulation.

He found enough change for me to buy brand name bottled water!
