Throwing him under the bus again. Why wouldn't she say, "If this is true, and I didn't hear the details, he has every right to protect himself and our children."

Why wouldn't she say, "If this is true, and I didn't hear the details, he has every right to protect himself and our children."
--------------------------------------------------------
Because her goal is trash him. She's a NPD with a public forum to unleash her disorder. Jon in the spotlight? Next thing she's calling a pap to come out and interview her in the parking lot. Jon can't be seen as the good guy. And she must be seen as the media darling who was wronged by him.

------------------------------------------------------------
Agree. Even though people are sick of her, and even if she's a witch, if the recipes were 1. Good and 2. Easy, she could get momentum to sell a decent amount. And while her recipes are easy, they are not good, not well written, and don't work with her organic-and-healthy brand, so this cookbook is going to go no where.

I was going to say that but I didn't want to get sued by one of her fans. LOL

AuntieAnn said...

She says she didn't hear about Jon's incident with the pap. Suuuure she didnt. Yep, uh huh.

For someone who's had so much practice at lying, she's still no good at it. She lies about as well as she dances.

She's probably already spoken to her lawyer about it.

Katykat said...

Yep, once again she's caught in a lie. Do the kids have a ridiculous amount of chores or does she do all the housework herself? I bet the former.

PatK said...

Breathtakingly beautiful? lol Well, at least she looks like a normal mom in that outfit.

Normally, she wouldn't even bother to answer a pap. But, hey, it was an opportunity to show her disdain for her ex...so why not? Typical of her.

TLC stinks said...

OK. I'll admit it. She has more groceries in her cart than usual, but all that bottled water?!

For somebody who does her own housework, those French tipped nails looked pretty good. And a pet peeve of mine is women wearing clingy tights with short tops. Do I wanna see their ass cheeks and front cracks?

URL said...

IMO her book tour is limited to Steve's schedule. I don't think she's still in love with Jon, but quite the opposite, but she's still hung up on Steve. She's excited to be away from the kids and to be with Steve. I also believe this is why her tour is limited to Steve's schedule. It doesn't matter to her how many books are sold or how many fans come to her signings, but it matters if Steve is available.

Can I nominatethis tweet as the stupidest tweet of the day?

hXXXX hXXXX ‏@XXXX
@BXXXX @aXXXX @Kateplusmy8 Nice of Jon to pull a stunt so she has to put up paps again. Wish he'd uses his brain once in awhile.

If I recall correctly, JON did not ask the pap/stalker to come and follow him up his private road to his PRIVATE home.

If we want to compare apples to apples, how would the sheeple feel if a pap/stalker went up TFW's drive and hounded her on HER doorstep?

D@mn these people are stupid. (BTW...TFW called Chris - and that was Chris's voice on the video, she was there to show how hard working she is with a cart full of groceries doing it 'all by herself'). The timing is too impeccable for her to go and do a bunch of grocery shopping and just 'happen' upon a pap - especially after she tweeted she just made a whole bunch of meals to freeze while she is away.

Kate's French-tipped nails are gel, or tips or something like that. Not just a regular manicure, thus they can hold for a couple weeks. Underneath, her nails are just gone by now because she's been doing this for years.
I don't believe for a second that she didn't know about Jon, the gun and the pap. She didn't even flinch, so, some acting lessons might be in order.
How about, "no comment at all, Chris". Oh, that would waste both of their conspiratorial time.

TFMJG = The Former Mrs Jon Gosselin
KK = Katie Kreider = Katie Irene Kreider = TFW
WOS = Waste Of Space = what TFW called the Grand Canyon, but we are not taking about the Grand Canyon
” the help” or the ” not-a-nanny” = the nanny, personal chef, pool boy, lawn service, laundry person, etc
#SuperFunLawsuit = TFW idea to help promote public awareness of Robert Hoffman s book ” Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World”

I never bothered looking at her cookbook on Amazon before. Wow. I just read this excerpt from Cara's Sausage and Bean Bake:

"This recipe came to me out of nowhere while I was resting (with my eyes closed) during a long flight to Los Angeles. It was a rare moment that I wasn't thinking about cooking - or anything at all - and it hit me! I rushed home and raced into my kitchen to assemble it...."

Is it just me??

She felt the need to add "(WITH MY EYES CLOSED)." How is that even crucial to the story, or even interesting? It adds nothing to it. Maybe she felt Milo needed the visual?

So she wasn't thinking about anything at all, not even cooking, and an entire recipe came to her?? Aside from that it's mostly made with canned beans and already prepared canned chili. Is that really a recipe?

She was on a flight TO (not from) Los Angeles which is heading across country in the total opposite direction of her home, almost 3000 miles away, yet she RUSHED HOME and raced into her kitchen to assemble it. ?????

Kate definitely wrote this book. I just wonder who edited it.

I agree the Sunday shopping encounter with the pap was a setup. She tweeted she had been grocery shopping on Saturday as well. With her international book signing tour coming up, you'd think she would get her shopping done while the children are in school and spend the weekend with them. But then again that's what we 'mediocre' mothers would do.

This is not an area where the paps just hang out in case there is a celebrity sighting. If a picture of Kate was taken at the grocery store you can be 100% sure that person was called and given specific information on where she would be so they would take a picture.

Also, not to be gross, but if she is stocking up on bottled water someone should tell her that when testing was done on several brands of bottled water many of them had tested high for fecal content. Her water from home is probably better because it has to go through stricter testing. Put a filter on your faucet Kate and keep all those plastic bottles out of landfills.

Then she pretends not to know about the gun incident when you know darn well she scours the internet for anything that has to do with MEMEMEME..or with Jon.

Of course Milo will be chirping in with her, "Paps don't leave Kate alone because she has a rockin' hot bikini body, she's known and loved world-wide" garbage. Maybe Milo won't need LOM tonight, flipping the switch on her. She'll fall asleep early, watching that video and dreaming about what could be. Close to you.

It just makes no sense...and it doesn't make sense that the sheeple can't see this either.

Ha. Kate posted some "fun" for toddlers. She listed Shaving Cream Fun as a great idea to do with toddlers. She recommended: sit them at the table (sans tablecloth), and squirt some shaving cream in front of them.

"Sans" tablecloth??? Does Kate even realize that "sans" means WITHOUT??? Why would Kate be recommending messy play on your table without a tablecloth? I really don't think she knows what sans means. Pretty funny she chose to use a word not knowing the actual definition. Especially using it to mean the complete opposite.

----------------------------------------------------
Such a passion! "What's wrong with this picture? They're putting makeup on and I'm sitting by a stinkin' campfire".

Watching it back, knowing even more what we know now, it really highlights her sickness.

"Who loves the chicken?!"

After being asked how cooking went. "Awesome, and I fear these girls will cause me to cook over a campfire again. But they're never going to see it again ever. Most likely. It's shocking. I enjoyed it actually".

It really brings out how 1. All of her kids MUST say that they love her cooking (although at the end clip you can see that the kids barely ate the chicken) and

2. That she cannot reconcile what she actually believes versus what she thinks will make people love her. That last statement was a rambling mess of contradictions. She was contradictory because she wanted to control how people viewed her. She complained when cooking, blamed the outcome on others, but once everyone told her they "loved" it, she had fun. What?

Not likely. The pap who went after Jon was a woman. The pap that took the video of Kate is a man, and rumored to be Chris, who was the one who always took her pics before, and I think is an independent photographer. I'm not above thinking that the woman pap was sent by Kate/Kate's lawyers to make Jon look bad, setting up the second pap video of Kate's reaction. All to drum up interest in the cookbook, to make Kate look great and to make Jon look bad.

Pudding instead of finger paint and peanut butter dough in place of play-doh. Then she recommends shaving cream. Talk about confusing a kid. Give them something that looks like whipped cream and expect them not to eat it after they can eat paint and play-doh.

Why is she even posting activities for toddlers? Why wouldn't she, you know, write what she knows and list the activities her 12 and 9 year olds engage in?

Oh, yeah...nevermind. Her hypocrisy astounds.

"What? Now I have to pretend I play with my children?" - Kate Gosselin

In any case, yes...I would never recommend shaving cream for toddlers to play with...what a moron.

A good substitute for texture would be real whipping cream, over whipped for extra stiffness. And of course the obvious that it's completely edible and can double as a snack with some fresh fruit.

SG said...

Chefsummer,

She mentions that in her book. She claims she now realizes that messes are just temporary and family fun is more important.

If course that's probably just because the kids are old enough to not want to do those fun toddler activities anymore and because whatever messes they make now they are old enough to clean them up. They do all the housework now anyway. Probably the laundry too.

Yes, looking back, watching it again, she's even worse.
Kate bitched the entire time (you're right, Sarah Palin's dad, she tends to do that) and it looks like everyone else did the work and stepped aside once the whole shebang was set up, so that Kate could have shots of her turning the chicken, "cooking".
I'd have to pick the char out of my teeth before I could even speak, let alone thank Kate for that mess of charcoal chicken.
Kate, pssssssssst........ here's how you don't burn the shit out of food when grilling... ready?
You put the bbq sauce on AT THE END!
M,kay?
You're welcome.

I don't know if anyone caught this before, but I did once I viewed this episode after knowing via pictures that everyone got to go to Vegas after the RV part of the trip. It wasn't filmed, and I believe it was a carrot dangled for ALL.
One of the producers asks Jamie and Ashley, at the campsite, while Kate is off "for a couple hours", leaving J+A to hold down the fort and watch the kids, if the think they're going to make it to Vegas.
Yep. Bribery, once again.
What hoops TLC jumped through to get Kate et al to perform.
Most folks would be thrilled with the cross country RV trip alone (without driver, handlers and a crew!), but Kate et al needs a posh trip to Vegas, at the Four Seasons, no less, to do it.
Poor Ashley; she *almost* made it.
Puts her disgust for TFW into perspective, doesn't it?

Sg, 65...where did Kate suggest toddlers playing with shaving cream?
My hubby's aerosol can of Edge lists 2 kinds of acid in the ingredients.
Also, in all caps -- KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
Toddlers will rub their eyes and put their hands in their mouths.
She should worry that someone will ask, "Can we sue?"
*****
That was my first thought as well - shaving cream and toddlers? A recipe for disaster. I could see a toddler thinking it was something good to eat and putting it in their mouth, swallowing, getting quite ill. Into the eyes - ouch!

Not to mention, I would not recommend putting shaving cream on an uncovered table - it is likely to stain a wood table, and possibly even lighten other surfaces as well. I seem to recall people putting shaving cream on a car and it ruined the paint job. WOS is now CWOS (clueless)

Because her brain is stuck in time when the youngest six were toddlers, and she's hoping everyone else won't notice that they are 9 years old. I'm amazed this book has any buyers beyond Kate and Milo.

Tucker's Mom said...

Kate says to do the shaving cream thing "sans tablecloth" because a fabric tablecloth would negate the ability to smear it all over. BUT, shaving cream could and probably would ruin wood or other surfaces, in fact, will take the finish off due to the acid and alcohol content.
It's got to be one of the dumbest ideas. I'd never advocate it.
Kids eat *everything*.
Why do you think kids' glue is made to be edible in case its digested?

SG said...

Interesting, they list shaving cream as a household item that is not considered toxic. Although they do note that any household item can be toxic depending on how much is ingested. I'm surprised at some of the things they list as not being toxic. Starch, sunscreen, putty, perfume. Yikes. I wouldn't want my child ingesting any of that in any amount. It doesn't mention the effect it has if you get them in your eye though.

OT, sort of. Yesterday, DH and I came back home from running errands and there was a dad with his 2 kids at our door- 2 girls and 2 boys, the latter wearing their Boy Scout uniforms. They were doing their annual popcorn bins sale and the younger boy, about 5, came up to us and gave us his spiel. So cute! How could we not buy an $18 tin of popcorn?
But seriously, we support them every year, and it's heart warming to see these young boys being nurtured and given treasured memories of earning badges etc. with their dad and their peers.
Again, so sorry the G boys will never know this.

Re: the shaving cream

I wrote a comment on the previous thread that didn't get posted for one reason or another but the gist of it was that I half-jokingly said it wouldn't surprise me if Kate was ordered by the court to have someone in the home with her to help with the kids because of her mental condition.
Now I am serious. She poses a danger to her kids in my opinion. Raw chicken, shaving cream, God knows what else goes on that no one is aware of.
She is the one that needs supervision by another adult. Good grief.
She should be careful what she puts in her books or she's gonna get sued by some naive young parent one of these days.

TLC stinks said...

Shaving cream is not a toy. Period. Although it is not toxic, a child could have an allergic reaction and a God forbid you got it in the eyes. Also, shaving cream will most definitely ruin a wooden table. It will ruin a car finish, so it is strong stuff. Kate is a total idiot to recommend such a project. Geez.

If she didn't want to answer the pap's questions, why wouldn't she just say, "I heard about it. I have no comment." Over and done. Why lie about it? No wonder Steve has to travel with her as her "handler." She can't handle herself.

BINGO! I agree. All that matters to TFMJG is that she is on television, and has her name in the Media. She is incapable of realizing that when her latest project is done in a week or so, she will be back behind that gate with no one having the slightest interest in her....unless it is to ask her about Jon and his two jobs, or Jon firing his weapon protecting his privacy.

TFMJG still doesn't realize that the more she blabs and comes up with cockamamie ideas to get her face 'out there', the more normal JON appears, and the better press Jon gets. She REALLY ''doesn't get it''.

My book came today. I haven't had a chance to really go through it and I have a meeting tonight but here are my first impressions:

1) It's so small! I guess I was expecting something bigger than 8" x 6". Most of the cookbooks I own that are this size are paperbacks from Weight Watchers.

2) She dedicates it to all her 8 children but "especially for you, Cara and Mady". This is followed on the next page by a large 5x7 of the twins. Cara looks so much like Kate. Mady looks like Jon.

3) There are 8 chapters (oh how predictable) and 88 recipes.

4) It will be interesting to make some of these and compare them to the pictures in the book because there is no way, IMO, that these pictures are her actual recipes, based on the ingredient list. I'm looking specifically at the stir fry recipe.

Speaking of which, she wants me to take 1/2 a bag of baby carrots and quarter them lengthwise which, in my mind, would leave me with four rather thick slices of carrot although the photo clearly shows that they are julienned. And have you ever tried julienning a baby carrot? I did once because my husband brought the wrong kind of carrots home and while doable, it's not easy.

Oh, I just turned the page to find a tup stir frying something but it isn't her recipe because the wok has zucchini and carrots that have been cut into round medallions and I think I see celery.

5) man this woman likes her lemon juice! Her Lemon-Basil Grilled Chicken uses 1 and 1/2 C of lemon juice and 1 C olive oil for the marinade. Oh and 4 Tbsp of sugar and 1/2 C aged white balsamic vinegar. Because every average family keeps aged white balsamic vinegar in their pantry.

6) Ok, I'm not sure what that is on her Swiss steak but I think it has eyes and is staring at me. Oh wait, that's the 3 cans of celery soup, I guess.

7) Kate really likes soy sauce, lemon juice and canned cream soups.

8) Her Alfredo recipe calls for 1/2 pound of softened salted or unsalted butter, 1/2 C half & half and 1/2 C whole milk and 2 C grated Parmesan cheese.

Wow.

9) Kate needs to work on her knife skills because she's about to cut off one of her freshly manicured French tipped nails in one pic.

10) Hmmm...Wouldn't you think that if you were showcasing a recipe called "Kate's Fish in Paper" that the photograph should show the dish in paper rather than a metal bowl that looks like my dog's food bowl?

I could go on, but I need to help kids with homework before I go. Wow, another pic that doesn't seem to match her recipe. I think they used some stock food photos, honestly.

I was planning to do roast so I may do her recipe this week.

Oh one last comment because the page turned to it (I have it open on my lap as I type on my phone) - She actually allowed two of the younger girls to make chocolate no bake cookies with white shirts on and no garbage bags on the counter.

"Copies of all the books will be available for purchase at the store; all books being signed require a receipt from the New Springville store that day."

So all books to be signed have to be purchased in store. I guess it doesn't matter if you bought it through B&N's website. What a rip off to ensure that more books get sold.

=============================

So if you previously bought it at a Barnes and Noble store at another location, you can't bring it to be signed, even if you have proof of purchase. Good grief.

If she were truly hearing about the stalker incident for the first time, shouldn't your reaction be one of horror, not just oh I didn't know that. Followed by several questions: Was anyone hurt? How did this happen? Am I in danger? And the most important question, my God, are my children okay?

As far as Jon's job, I think she would be surprised how far it would go to simply say I'm happy for Jon he has found a job he enjoys and I wish him the best. Instead she just looks bitter.

I have noticed blogger changed their comment field and way to follow comments. Hopefully everyone is getting it to work.

I saw the video of kate with Chris. SETUP SETUP SETUP. In my opinion, she looked bbbbbaaaadddd. Her posture, her clothes, she looked like she took several pills the night before to make her sleep and she got up that morning and she looked hung over. She is such a liar! How many more lies is she going to tell? She knows about the CRIME AT JON'S, because her attorney is BFF's with the "female pap". We all know that kate is famous for master plans that benefit her. I think she gave the info to where Jon lives and ok'd it. The timing makes it so obvious. kate should of said when Chris asked if she heard and if she truly didn't, she should of said WHAT? someone trespassed there, Jon had to use his gun, When did this happen? Chris tells her. Thank God the children weren't there! No concern for the safety of her children at their Father's house. This is the RED FLAG THAT SHE KNEW ABOUT IT! I am going to send an email to a Baby Safety Advocate, I will have to google, but let them know kate is ADVISING shaving cream for toddlers to play with. They will put it on their hands face. I think she is so sadistic that she wants other babies to get hurt. She Is that cruel. IMHO. Her mental illness is getting worse and worse by the day.

Of course he did. The more she circles the drain the more security work he gets. Bad idea to take advice from someone who will directly benefit from it. She needs an independent, unbiased adviser.

If I were PR, you know what I would do? I would say she needs to forget the organic farm to table recycled nonsense she doesn't really practice and try for a REAL MOMS approach. Real moms use plastic bags, throw things directly in the garbage because soccer practice is in 10 minutes and there's no time to screw around sorting everything, go to McDonalds, resort to canned food and other crap, rely on the nanny/babysitter once in awhile, would love a spa day instead of listening to whining kids all day once in awhile, you get the idea. I would spin it like she's a real mom, there's nothing to be ashamed of it, and if she takes shortcuts then no one else needs to feel guilty about it. Sort of like as an alternative to the perfect mommy bloggers out there. She could spin it like you know what i felt so much pressure to just be so perfect from mommy blogs and that whole scene, and I finally realized it's okay to just be ME. You can only do your own best. I bet you people would eat it up. That's what I would advise from a PR standpoint.

What is an activity with shaving cream doing in a cookbook in the first place? You can't be all things in a cookbook. That belongs in a raising kids fun book or activities for kids or something. It either needs to be something edible, or a good editor should have insisted she cut it. She might as well have directions for how to play with legos. Completely irrelevant to cooking.

I agree. That may not have been Kate's decision. But it's totally unfair and frankly, BAD BUSINESS. People who ordered it online or elsewhere get totally screwed out of participating unless they fork over their hard earned dollars for a new copy.

What's the deal? I was allowed to bring in my Amazon copy to Barnes and Nobles at the SM book signing. Why are they changing a perfectly good policy? Sometimes what you think is going to make you more money actually just makes people upset. Goodwill is worth more than a stupid 14 buck cookbook.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Here's another reason to allow outside copies. While you're standing there puttering around waiting for TFW to come out of the utility closet, you just might notice something else you like and buy it. Even if it's a package of gum. I rarely go into a bookstore without buying something. Just getting people in the door is a good idea.

******
First, when you quarter something, like an onion or tomato, you cut it from pole to pole, then around the equator, or waist.
What it sounds like Kate wants is a julienne cut, so to cut the (stupid ass) baby carrot into 4 slices or sticks.
Again, where is an editor who knows how to cook?

If there's a buck to be made or exposure to be had, Jon's bad fortune becomes her golden opportunity.

You never know, her posture will get her one day. Because of all that sitting in that white plastic chair barking orders at her kids so they could get their picture made all summer for what 3 summers? All that money she and Chris made. Her posture will get worse, so bad she won't be able to wear the stiletto's that she got for 600 each off the backs of her kids. Backs of her kids. That is ironic. She has made money off the backs of her kids and her own back looks like it is in the beginning of getting in bad shape.

Does she not realize the kids will be too young to take care of her and some of them by then will be living with Jon? Steve won't take care of her, because of his glamour job with TLC protecting the clients. The only way is to PAY HIM, but he would insist on hiring someone to do it, while he supervised so he could collect a check. Can you imagine a nurse having to take care of her? Her vile, toxic mouth. Her demands.

As she is laying in bed in pain with her back, she will remember Jon waiting on her hand and foot, everyone that ever did, including the kids. And that she didn't even appreciate it one bit. She will pay a heavy price and that day is coming with this lawsuit and The Book.

When the lawsuit is won by Robert and Jon, and The Book has made the media rounds, people will start cross referencing kates statements with The Book and the lawsuit and it ain't going to be Kosher!

She is going to have to get a bigger boat!

It's filler. It's stre<---------------------->tch for content.
This book is reminding me of the complaints that people had about 8 Little Faces, that it was just a family photo album. Nothing new to learn.
For example, this "Jamie's Broccoli" sounds like you nuke broccoli with butter and garlic salt. That's crap. Pure, utter ineffectual garbage. Add it to the insult that is Kate's tuna casserole, which is 2 boxes of mac and cheese, canned tuna and I believe bread crumbs on top.
That right there deserved a quick mention, like "some nights, moms are too busy to make dinner from scratch, so what I do is cook boxes of mac and cheese and combine with tuna and top with bread crumbs.
See? One sentence. Not TWO WHOLE PAGES of a tiny book.
It's an insulting waste of space.

Wow indeed! That's absolutely ridiculous.

I use 2 tblsp of butter, 2 tblsp of flour, 2 cups of milk or cream and 1/2 cup of Parmesan to make enough for six servings or a casserole.

1/2 pound of butter mixed with 2 cups of cheese? Is she trying to make people sick?

Add to that the whole let your toddlers play with shaving cream thing...WTH?

I totally get the disclaimer now. I don't know how she got this book even freakin' published but I in no way believe it was through any reputable channels.

I still use a plastic tablecloth. They are usually ugly but very handy. Of course I don't leave it on all the time but sans tablecloth is not always the right option. A huge THANK YOU to whoever discovered the shaving cream. I couldn't figure out what the strange disclaimer was for.

I must confess I like making things with canned soups. I do not claim to be more than a sort-of-ok cook. I can't believe people need a recipe for broccoli. Did she include how to take the leaves off and cut the head apart?

This is how Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman publicizes her own book tour.
At the bottom of the tour dates, with pictures of each city, she has this foot note. Class act all the way.

(*Note: Please check with individual stores for their book signing policies/procedures. In all cases, you may bring your own books to the signings, regardless of where you got them. In some cases, because book signings require time, staff, and resources, bookstores may extend line priority to customers who purchase one or more books from them. Rest assured: I’ll stay at each store until all books are signed.)

More signings to come! Check here for updates over the next few weeks, as I’ll add a handful of stops in the week or two before Christmas. In addition, I’ll likely head out again in the springtime and will have a chance to cover some more states that I really want to visit.

Can’t wait to meet you!

Perhaps she has more control over her book signing with her vastly superior position as an author and TV personality.

I will say that occupational therapists seem to like shaving cream for stimulation. I saw them use it a number of times in therapy for children. It must have a different feeling than whipped cream or pudding. These children are supervised every second and most cannot coordinate hand to face. I cannot understand why this is a fun activity for children. Many children do not like touching or smelling it. There are a MILLION other fun things to do with kids. Why this one? Did her bestie Steve suggest it? Does she love the shaving cream on his cheek? (Excuse me. I have to go throw up now.)

It's not on the radar as much as balsamic vinegar is, but it can be found. In fact, I just checked my bottle and I scored it at Home Goods! You can get terrific deals on gourmet goods at that family of discount stores.
I absolutely adore white balsamic.
Try oven roasting brussel sprouts and splashing some on at the end. It's so bright and delicious!
