Its like Jodi Arias, with client control. The lawyers do what they can with the case. But when they want out because they KNOW they are losing the battle ,the client has them roped into the case. TFW or Jodi will not listen to council and shut the hell up they get to the point where they just toss their arms up and say "what ever". I'm forced to be here and I think its shit but hey...whatever.
TFW is going to find this out all too soon. There is no one in her corner any more, other than 5 rabid fans.

She keeps repeating "for the safety of my kids". I wonder if behind closed doors, those exact words have been said to her? When Jon tried to get custody, was he saying the same thing? When CPS was called (and we know they were from Robert) did the whistle blowers use those words? She seems to have latched on to that phrase almost to deflect what is about to come out again. I really think the pap on Jon's property came from her camp, trying to portray HIM as the one who is the threat. It backfired big time.

LOL Remona - although I'm sorry you were once involved in a very unpleasant legal situation, your story illustrated my point exactly. Attorneys are professionals who have to first complete a 4-year college degree, then go on to obtain their juris doctorate, then pass their State's Bar exam, in order to practice law. As a result, most of them are (rightly so) quite proud of their profession and themselves. As a client, you can certainly ask your attorney questions or ask to be very involved in your case, but a good attorney will tell their client, "I'm the boss. I make the legal decisions, not you." In the legal profession, it's called "client control." I should feel sorry for Kate's attorneys, but I just can't. I am sure she is a massive headache to deal with.

No, the one paying the bill is ultimately in control, as with any client relationship. Possessing an advanced degree doesn't change that. If the attorney doesn't like it, the option is to walk away.

Hmmm. I can see PB tucking the event poster under his arm...maybe TFW wanted a souvenir. But as an author myself (traditionally published), I know for a fact that B&N wouldn't ask an author to take any unsold books with them. Leads me to believe they came from her private stock (i.e. self-published, shipped from her basement).

Hello everyone
I would like to let you know that I wrote a comment on Amazon for the book. I put a lot of time and thoughtful effort into it. It's a critique of the book and basically the only one given that actually talks about book specifics.

One 5* review I have to laugh at stated that, "it's a great book for beginning cooks and the recipes are designed for people that need to cook for large groups." That made me laugh so hard! So this is ok because Kate is a beginning cook and imparts no usable wisdom to people. And I guess if you are cooking for larger groups fattening, sodium laced, preprocessed casseroles are the only things to make for them. Something the Duggars believe as well.
