1/4 cup of ketchup ????-----------contain salt
1 tbsp of italian seasoning (no fresh herbs?)-------contain salt

I just watched the interview on the Today show. The think that comes to the front and center is the comment, "It has to be done for the safety of my kids." If I were Jon I would be livid and I would hope that he and his lawyers address this
*****
Parental alienation, once again.
Are the children to think that Kate has to protect them from the father they love? Talk about cruel!
I wish one show host would grow a set and address this when Kate claims that they are a unit of 9, "us", vs. "him".
It just hasn't stopped, even years since Kate sat on her interview throne at home and declared that someone (Jon) who sees the kids 4 days a month should not have any say in how she chooses to raise them.
C'mon, tv hosts! Endeavor to deserve your journalistic monikers! Don't be hacks!

Through the years I have disagreed with some, not all, of the regular posters here. Here are some topics I have a different perspective on:

1. Jon needs to comment. It's always been a one sided story put out by TFW and that's why Jon is regarded as scum by media and general public.

2. I don't think TFW is pretty. Gosh, her face can not even move. If that's what money can buy you I'd rather continue to donate to doggy shelters.

3. Steve is her boyfriend . She dumped Jon cause she already had someone else. All the signs point to it! They will come out of the closet with their relationship when all else is gone. Yea, a 38 year old with tons of money is sitting at home twitting her fingers!

4. I never would have bought her book. Let her fans put money in her ungrateful hands.

5. She didn't cook at the Today studio because she's a lousy cook. They would have choked on her food!

6. She's not going through the lawsuit. She's using the lawsuit to stain what is coming out on the book. You honestly believe that she wants the ugliness of the real Kate Gosselin to come out. Remember it's not only that she wants to promote herself but if all else fails she will push Mady into show biz.

7. As far as Mady being pushed by TFW into Hollywood it would be a disaster . She doesn't have the talent or the temperament to live in a world of rejection. I feel so bad for her. She should be what she wants!

I know some will not agree with me but I know that.

Confused too! said...

So which is it? She can't get work because she was stuck in TLC's contract or because of the haters? I thought lunatic was kind of harsh but now I agree. She's mad. She contradicts herself even in the same sentence!

You never can be sure exactly how hungry your children will be until they sit down at that dinner table
*******
Amen, Millicent, but the thing is, Kate doles out the portions. I imagine the kids must equivocate about asking for more.
Why she can't just, even once in a while, serve family style and let the kids serve themselves.
Instead, they have to line up cafeteria style at every meal.
Once in a while, OK, sure. Every single meal? Lazy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She really did say that!
So if there's "huge interest" then I guess all this bullying has not really had much impact on her job prospects.

Tucker's Mom said...

TFW is totally incapable of stepping back, looking at all of her "how wonderful she is" comments and just shutting the heck up about it. Something in the wiring in her brain just isn't making contact the way it should. I suppose it's all part of a mental illness issue, but for heaven's sakes, wouldn't you think that she would have someone there to advise her?
******
I thought when Kate was asked about the kids this morning-- wow, what a wonderful opportunity to say, "Colin is playing X, and Leah is a Brownie, and so and so is in gymnastics and so on.
No, nope. No kids are doing anything as individuals. The brood are lined up to watch Kate cook.
What a childhood.

If there was "huge interest" TLC would still be making a buck off of her no matter how horrible she is to work with. Sheesh, she's been off their network for what, 2 years? Did you notice Kate did not really eat at the table scene? She just pushed her food around her plate with a fork. They did, however, use 'real' plates! She served something,maybe sweet potato fries, hard to tell, with her bare hands-why? No freak -out like when Mady gave Steve the piece of 'reserved' pizza withe her bare hand on the RV trip?

What? This is very confusing. I thought TLC cancelled the show 2 years ago? Was the original contract actually for another two years and they decided to just keep paying her even though they weren't filming?

If so, then what about CWS?

Can someone explain this to me, I'm lost.

TFW just contradicted herself. According to posters here, in the Today interview TFW says she had to sue because she's lost job opportunites with regard to Jon/Robert collaborating on the book. But The Wheels on the Bus...191 said in the ET interview she's dealing with the end of her TLC contract and "after which she and the kids will be completely free to sign on for anything...There's huge interest..." So which is it TFW. You've lost opportunities or there's huge interest. You can't have it both ways. And won't Jon have something to say about the kids filming.

Good point, all.
At this point, knowing the representation that Jon and Robert each have, I think they shouldn't talk.
For Jon, it just never ends well! I know his intent and heart are in the right place, but it just goes to shit most of the time.
I have to say I am relieve that most of the response to Jon's recent pap encounter are supportive of Jon, even though he discharged his gun. He was in the right and most people recognize that.
I just hate that it happened right before Kate's latest media junket.

VISIT? you see her little play on words?

And "sole supporter"-a play again. Does she mean financial, emotional, physical? SOLE? SOLE? She's concerned for their safety, insinuating Jon isn't? He just lives his life?

How can she KEEP being allowed to spew this stuff and NOBODY questions her?? Why?

My goodness...I just watched TFMJG's ET Online. I had to watch it a second time, because watching it the first time I was SO distracted. Everyone wasn't kidding about her face being more or less frozen. She is still able to blink her eyes, but nothing else on that face moved! Is the frozen face the reason her left front tooth was so off center? I'm not sure I'm explaining what I mean very well, but once I noticed it, it was ALL I could see, and her voice was just a monotone saying something involving a LOT of ''ummm''.

The second time I watched it, I did wonder what she meant about being ''at the very very end of her TLC contract'' Does anyone have any speculation about what she means?

One thing is certain...she isn't anywhere near the end of Jon's determination to keep his children off television.

I agree with those who believe her reason for suing Jon is that she has somehow convinced herself that she will win, and Jon will lose his parental rights, allowing her to use Jon's children in order to grab another gig on television!

"um, well, you know, um" and lots of shrugging her shoulders.

I don't make a lot of pizza from scratch, but does anyone else think her pizza sauce amounts posted on the Today website seem excessive for four 19 inch pizzas? I realize it boils down for a couple of hours, maybe that reduces the 2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce, 2 (14.5-ounce) cans diced
tomatoes, 1 can tomato paste, ¼ cup ketchup and ¼ cup olive oil enough.

The ET interview, OMG, I hope Jon's attorney is paying close attention to the defamation.
That interview has to be up there with the worst parental alienation Kate's ever done. The little filter she had is gone.
And her face, my gosh, from the nose up, the only expression she can muster is to open her eyes wide. That's it!
Her eyebrows barely budge, no forehead movement.
The interview that we see in the clip has Kate shrugging and shaking her head, and frowning and holy shit, is she getting ptosis from all that Botox or what?
Or was is a few Cosmos with that paper fish lunch?
She's so... detached. Meds? Depression?
For someone saying (this morning to Savannah Guthrie) that she's really happy now, she sure doesn't look it.
At. All.

These comments sparked a distant memory. Back when they were still filming JK&8, I remember reading somewhere that the TLC contract ran through (Sept. or Oct?) of 2013; I was horrified on behalf of the children. So it’s possible that TLC did not renew K&8 but the contract was still ongoing. Perhaps she had to get their permission to do CWS. I wonder if TLC assisted with her “cookbook tour” as part of their final farewell.

As for “all the interest” out there, good luck with that.

p.s. Tomatoes @ 5, I agree with you .

Just watched the interview. I give the Today Show credit for reaching out to Jon for comment and I give him credit for not getting back to them. Best thing to do.

Okay, I have to comment on her appearance. We all know her hair color is awful and it needs to be toned down a shade or two but she also needs about four to five inches cut off the length. When she wears it long and stick straight like that it ages her years. If she styled it with some waves or loose curls it would look better. And if she is going to be a blond she needs to lighten up her eyebrows. I can't stand it when dark haired women go blond and then keep their dark eyebrows. Its freakin scary looking. Have your eyebrows tinted when you get your hair done.

With all that money, she still doesn't know how to dress. That's a dress for a teenager or a twenty something. Not a 38 year old mother of eight.

I'm 53 years old and I don't have wrinkles on my neck. I don't understand why she does.

Tucker's Mom said...

Yes, now we see the reason and timing of the lawsuit. Good multi-pronged approach, Kate.
One, book more shows for book tour so they can ask about the acrimony and antics between Jon and Kate.
Two, sue Jon and hope it results in a judge awarding full custody to Kate and/or limit Jon's parenting ability so that he has no say in how his children are raised, ie: negate Jon's ability to voice objection and act upon his not wanting his children back on television.

Tucker's Mom said...

handinhand: what is the chicken base in the pizza sauce for? She used nothing fresh, or organic, other than the garlic. It was canned or powder. If you need more flavor, at least use a veggie soup cube, or mushroom, onion or even a garlic one, but chicken? But then this is Kate, she eats organic and the kids eat whatever she slops together into a sauce pan. Cause, she does not eat any of it.

It all makes sense now. Her slip up about the end of TLC contract confirms it. Whoever mentioned the noncompete clause nailed it. Now she wants to put those kids back to work in a similar show but guess who stands in the way? Jon, of course. The answer is to make him lose custody. She always says she "masterminds". And I bet Steve is a partner in her goal.

So then what jobs has Jon's relentless bullying cost her? She wouldn't have been able to take any jobs, right? I think she's sh@&&$#@ bricks over the book, this will be the end of the end, we can only hope. She doesn't DESERVE any job on tv, she doesn't DESERVE to be a best selling crookbook author, she doesn't DESERVE a cooking show. Just give Jon full custody and live YOUR life.

And she looked just horrible. That neck is not the neck of a 38 yr old. STOP the tanning, STOP the extreme DIE-ting, stop being so full of evil and vengeance. THAT might at least make you look your real age or at least not so ugly. Most of her ugliness comes from the inside.

I guess she tells them being on TV equals "adventures" and our big house because she had to throw in that "adventure" word again. Why isn’t she able to just quietly fade away like other reality has-beens and move on with her life. Why is this ditz still clawing away, day after day, waiting for her big break? And her looks are definitely declining. Today, her skin is full of zits and she has that unhappy and soul-less look in her eyes. Her best feature was her hair today. Usually, I am of the opinion that Kate is a fairly attractive woman but today really changed my mind! Lots of stress does terrible things physically to people. Or booze.

I hope that Katie Couric brings the perspective of a mother of children who have lost their father forever.
I bet Katie and her kids would give ANYTHING to have their father in their lives.
The fact that Kate acts as though Jon doesn't even exist unless the kids are with him, and even then, she doesn't want to know what's going on unless someone's hair is on fire is disgraceful.
She should be hanging her head in shame for her complete and utter failure in co-parenting with Jon.
Attempting to reconnect with Jon on that level seems to not even move her needle.
It's insane! I feel like it's just me because NO ONE is asking the question, "what is wrong with you that you can't even co-parent 8 beautiful children for the sake on your 8 beautiful children and their social, emotion and psychological well being?"

After watching today's interviews of TFW, all I can say is I feel so bad for these kids. She'll do anything to put them back on television or some other media outlet until they are 18 or will leave home. She's so hard looking and has a cold personality. All she really wants is to merchandise her children for years until they are 18 or are out of that prison house. She's a master manipulator of her children as others have stated. It's also apparent at this point that she knows she cannot make it on her own without the kids and will do whatever it takes to keep herself relevant using the kids. From the ET interview, it is interesting that she's been tied to her TLC contract, and yet they apparently haven't filmed them in two years. Being difficult to work with seems like just one of the issues as to why they never filmed her and the kids again.

This is a follow-up to the article in the newspaper Sunday about Jon. This appeared in todays paper:

Reporters' Notebook is a weekly feature in which our staff members share some of the stories behind the news.

Interview reveals real person behind the celebrity

Last week, photographer Ben Hasty and I were tapped to interview Jon Gosselin, former half of TLC's reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8," at his new workplace, the Black Dog Cafe in Stouchsburg.

I wasn't too sure what to expect, and I was prepared to only have about 10 minutes to talk to him. He was working, after all, and according to Black Dog owner Joe Church, Jon had custody of his eight children that week, so he didn't have much time to spare.

Jon immediately introduced himself when we arrived, offering us food and drinks as he led the way inside. He was really friendly, and he sat with us for about an hour, opening up and giving honest answers to every question I asked.

My interview with Jon was one of the best I've had in a long time. Throughout it, he emphasized that underneath it all, he really is just a normal guy. TV and his televised interviews, like the recent one with "Entertainment Tonight," were simply revenue streams for him, he said. Sometimes, your interview subjects surprise you. And Jon Gosselin surprised me.

- Becca Gregg, reporter

Did you notice it said Jon had custody of the children that WEEK. I don't know how long ago the interview was actually done. Maybe before they went back to school.

TLC stinks said...

Looks like her word of the day is "safety".

Watched ET online. All that moved were her eyes and lips. Pretty obvious there is not much interest in the cookbook. It's all about doing what is best for her children's "safety". This is a campaign to make Jon look bad. It is obvious. And she trolling for another show.

It appears the questioners are asking the same questions so I bet they are given a pre-approved list. God forbid a real journalist would probe.

In one day worth of interviews she's shown:

1. She has no idea what the lawsuit is really about.

2. She doesn't really know why she can't get a job. It's between being a diva, Jon's conspiracy with tweeters, or the TLC contract ... hm. (Insert a picture into your mind of Razmataz screaming at his television ... PICK A DAMN REASON AND STICK TO IT KATE!!!)

3. She's not adult enough to take care of herself, let alone 8 kids. She actually thinks it's a good thing to admit she doesn't speak to, interact, or give a general hoot about the father of her children? Way to be a grown up Kate!

I hope every one of these interviews make their way into a courtroom.

I call bull-hockey on her claim that Mady & Cara want her recipes so they can cook them for their own kids. What 12 almost 13 year old (or even 9 year olds like the tup girls) think about recipes for their future kids?! My two oldest girls didn't care about recipes until they got their own apartments while in college. And then, they only asked me for recipes when they wanted to make something for friends/boyfriend. I'd usually get a last minute call (sometimes they were walking the aisles of the grocery store) for the recipe. Now that they are out on their own, we have compiled some of their favorite dish recipes on recipe cards, but never once have they said they want the recipes for their future kids.

I guess my kids just aren't as special as TFW's 8 count 'em 8 kids, because my kids must have been too self-centered to care about their mom's recipes or their own future kids.

I agree. It's like she's playing/living a part, even with her kids. She's one messed up woman, blinded by revenge and bitterness, insecurity, narcissism, and no sense of self.

I wonder; do narcissists have times where they're in tune with 'reality' or are they forever stuck in their own mindset?

This is a follow-up to the article in the newspaper Sunday about Jon. This appeared in todays paper:
''....Jon had custody of his eight children that week, so he didn't have much time to spare.''
~~~~~~~~~~
Jon had custody of his children that week? Isn't that the same week that Jon was scared half to death when he was followed after work all the way onto his property? If so, no wonder he pulled his gun and fired a warning shot!! If I'm wrong...please correct me.
She has said (frequently) that it is all about the kids. She will do anything for them.
Anything BUT -- get a real job, find away to co-parent with her ex husband, invest in them as individuals, stop divulging private information in public venues, and stop spending their money on her appearance.
I just watched TFW's Today Show segment.
First of all, the shot of her waiting to go on was very telling. She looked very nervous-- her eyes were darting around. Her forced smile quickly faded to her signature pissed off glare. I watched it in super slo-mo on DVR, and it was quite chilling. There was a moment when she looked absolutely panic stricken--like she wanted to bolt out of the chair.
I'm guessing that the "rumor mill" that was spreading lies, and interfering with her career, is, in fact, her own personal journals. It is quite obvious when she is obfuscating--that is when the umms start coming fast and furious.she managed to delete any mention of RH's book by focusing on bullying.
The only picture of Jon, of course, was the recent tab photo of him running and pulling his gun out of his waistband. No context given, naturally.
In the at-home footage of TFW serving up her food, she looked like she ordered the Kendra at Ted Gibson's salon. I don't know if it was the horizontal stripes, but she looked like her chest has been re-inflated.
All in all, I don't think she did herself any favors. Only TFW thinks that, in order to pass on her recipes to her kids, she has to publish her cookbook. And her comment that the book was for large families was just plain stupid.
If she was only 50% of what she pretends to be, I would be done with her. But, she does not even remotely resemble the person she pretends to be. I was going to give her credit for managing sit down dinners, but I believe it is at the expense of her children. Most families with 2 or 3 kids, are too busy shuttling their kids to activities, volunteering at their kids' school and working. She just makes such a big deal of everything, and the focus is always on her. She even commented that when preparing and serving meals, "the faster, the better", seems so pointless--that is what her kids will remember--not nourishing meals prepared and served with love. Last time I checked, we all have the same 24 hours in a day. Listening to her, you would think she was the only one.
IMO, she looked desperate and frightened--I think she knows that her 15 minutes are about to be up. I just can't see where she can go from here.
Awesome! St Peters Village is an old village (obviously) along French Creek. It's beautiful! My daughter and I went up there for her to take photos for her school photo class. And the Pagoda I've only seen from afar. It's in Reading. My daughter has been there with her father though. Yes, her father, my ex who used to live in Reading. In fact, we took her to an orcehstra concert together in Reading when she played the violin in elementary school years after we divorced. Go figure.
Layla said...
TFW said in the ET interview that she has all these concepts going on. Yes, SHE comes up with all these concepts and tries to market them. We know she's been trying to sell her concepts/herself for two years. No new show. And when she says there's huge interest--well, yes, there's huge interest (on her side) in selling herself and the kids again. I just don't see some network signing up some washed-up has-been who is either despised or ignored by the general public, who fails at every venture (IJWYTK, cruise, cookbook--all bombed for lack of interest). Her last show tanked from poor ratings. Embroiled in a nasty lawsuit, using every public opportunity to trash her ex...what, exactly, would any network find appealing? She is a proven loser, and any new show would tank, just like her last one. And her books. And her blogs. And her cruise. Even if she got a new show, the ratings would bottom out like with K+8. She should have just been honest and said, "I have huge interest..."
This is odd. I went to the TODAY website, clicked on the interview with TFW and was unable to view it. The statement was "Due to usage restrictions, we are unable to provide this video". Often, as a Canadian resident we are unable to view videos originating in the US, but I was able to watch all the other segments of the TODAY show that aired this morning. Did anyone else experience this?
I did see the ET online interview, this woman is so full of contempt it is palatable. She is on the edge, so consumed with hate and revenge she is barely pulling herself back from the brink. She made no sense, and talking about Jon as she did must have her children despairing. And, saying the kids want to be back on TV, my first thought was, "how would that work? Would she pull them out of school, away from their only chance to have a normal life.
Her shows were opportunities, she has to stop referring to them as her "work". They were opportunities squandered, with relationships irrevocably broken, all while twisting the truth and damaging her children's lives. Those opportunities were a gift, work is what the rest of us do. Wake up Kate, it's over and Jon had absolutely nothing to do with your demise.
Is she trying to say that they created fake Twitter accounts and tweeted her hateful tweets? After watching the ET clip this was the 3rd time I got that impression.
Another observation.......she again said all of the kids want another show. It amazes me how ALL 8 of her children feel this way and every other way that benefits Kate. Not even ONE of her children doesn't want to be on TV. Every single one of her children missed the film crew. Every single one of her children misses the trips TLC provided. It's amazing to me how ALL 8 children think exactly alike.
Shawn said in his 12b6 brief that the timing of TFW's lawsuit coincided with Kate releasing her cookbook. The more she talks about Jon the more she affirms that. Whether she intended it or not, and I think she did, it looks like she is using this controversy to sell cookbooks. It's all she's talking about. It's pretty sick to cook up some controversy with your children's father and go on an absolute rampage about how terrible he is just to sell some canned slop. The comment about the kids see him because he's their father (and not because they have a wonderful bond with him and love him) is just VILE.
I loved the comment about how Jon has the kids "this week" hahaha. Jon has right of first refusal, so that's entirely possible when Kate's out of town. I also noticed he emphasized he works the lunch shift, which makes sense when your kids are in school. Much like we've been saying about TFW all along, the jobs that could work with her kids' schedule are out there. You just have to be willing to stop sticking your nose in the air like Nellie and get your hands dirty.
The comment about the TLC exclusivity contract is baffling since she NEVER brought this up before--although it does make sense hers would extend longer than Jon's since she was filming Kate Plus 8 without him. What kind of idiot is signing a 2 year exclusivity contract when there are KIDS involved who grow up so fast? Two years for a "cute" kid is a lifetime--in that 2 years they could be DONE. What...an....idiot. That's HER fault if she signed away their rights for two years. That's not our fault.
So if TLC had her under lock and key ANYWAY what is all this whining about?? The hell? Isn't it irrelevant if people may have prevented her from jobs if she couldn't' do them anyway due to exclusivity? And, specific examples of jobs she has "lost"? She can never name a single one, it's just a general oh I've lost jobs. WHAT jobs? And what does it matter if you've got plenty of other people beating down your door anyway?
She's going to film the kids NOW? They've established entire off camera lives with schools and activities and doing fun things with Daddy like appreciating their Korean heritage, and by her own admission they are busy busy busy. How in the world is she going to work a filming schedule into all that? That's just it, she can't.
I like how the Korean things are just the nine. Kate is always saying the nine of us. Now Jon has something that is the nine of them and leaves Kate out. Well deserved.
The attorneys are watching all this very carefully.
I don't think I can recall Kate being any more vile about the father of their children. She is doing her best to beat it into the public zeitgeist that Jon is a sperm donor, and the kids' visits are obligatory for that reason only.
If Kate is appearing on Katie's show tommorrow, I hope Katie puts on her big girl journalist panties, the ones she wore when interviewing Sarah Palin, and address the damage being done to the children when she disparaged their father at every public turn she gets.
Katie's children would love to have just one minute with their father, and I'm sure it saddens Katie to not be able to see the relationship between her kids and their father grow over the years.
As far as for the children's "safety" STOP IT, TFW. Just stop it.
Look, if there were any safety concerns in this mess, the family law court has an excellent handle on it. You are not the first messy custody battle they have ever seen. If they felt that Jon was a danger, he would have supervised visits. They will give a parent monitored visits in a heartbeat, hundreds of thousands of parents right now can only see their children monitored. THEY are who you complain to about "safety" and they will handle it (I bet she has and I bet she's been shot down numerous times.)
This is a civil suit asking for one remedy and one remedy only: MONEY. How does MONEY affect the children's "safety"? Isn't arguably a lawsuit making things MORE unsafe if Jon is spending all his money on it? He needs that money to keep his home secure, his car in good working order so he can drive away from crazed paparazzi who apparently are so brazen they are driving all the way up to his doorstep, and heaven forbid he might actually save up enough money to get his own security guard when the children are home. It's just straight up NUTS to claim this is about safety. Absolutely nuts.
I agree with what I think Amy said. I'm sure her attorneys DID tell her to say no comment. The thing with being an attorney is that you can tell your client to say no comment until you're blue in the face, but you're the attorney, not their slave driver. You are there to give advice but ultimately it's up to them whether they want to take it and the only thing you can do if they disobey your advice is to tell them I advised you not to do that. Similarly, you can tell a client what their case is about and how it's going until you're blue in the face, but if a client wants to go out there and talk about how the case is about something else, like bullying, when it's really not, there's really nothing you can do to stop them from saying that. This is part of the job, and every attorney knows that difficult clients are what you sign up for sometimes and they're going to say things that you know are not true. They will misrepresent things or leave out important details or even talk about things in a manner that is completely inaccurate or completely ignores what really happened or is happening. You can't take it too personally, you just have to do your job or get out of this field. I imagine her attorneys are actually really frustrated with her right now, especially the way she misrepresented what the case is about, and her statements about how she's getting lots of offers or whatever once their contract is up--the things she said today are extremely damaging to their case and I'm sure they know it. It's just SHE doesn't get it because she's just an idiot in addition to a narcissist. Frankly, she's a nightmare client.
Susie Cincinnati said...
Look, if there were any safety concerns in this mess, the family law court has an excellent handle on it. You are not the first messy custody battle they have ever seen.
But is she claiming that Jon is the reason for the safety concerns, or is she afraid they will be harmed by the haters? I'm just not understanding exactly what she is alleging. If it's the bullying from haters that have her concerned, what does that have to do with Jon and custody issues/
As much as I wasn't too keen on Jon talking about the children, his interview was full of anecdotes about them. Little things a truly loving parent would notice. And I love how he talks about specific things he does with them around town. You NEVER hear that from Kate. She is so disconnected from how a normal parents behaves and talks about their kids that it's really quite frightening. I have never once heard Jon say something like, oh the kids LOVE when I did this or that. It's always, the kids love that WE did this TOGETHER. We have fun TOGETHER doing this and that. It's sweet. I wish him all the best, they will need him.
But is she claiming that Jon is the reason for the safety concerns, or is she afraid they will be harmed by the haters? I'm just not understanding exactly what she is alleging. If it's the bullying from haters that have her concerned, what does that have to do with Jon and custody issues/
&&&
That's a good point. I haven't a clue what she means by that. I just assumed that she meant something to the effect of I have to "stop" Jon because he is putting us at "risk" whatever the hell she means by that.
The bottom line is she is very paranoid and delusional and not making a lot of sense right now. I know there are people here who work with the mentally ill, and isn't she talking like how mental health patients talk--sort of manic, sort of making sense but not really, very fearful, hyperbole, talking in vague terms. It's SO similar to someone having a break with reality that I'm worried.
It should be funny but quite frankly I think it's more than a bit frightening at this point. She is completely disconnected from reality to a degree I've never seen from her before. Her behavior, the nervousness, fear, blotches, etc., suggest she's in the middle of a breakdown.
According to a tweeter, TFW's Staten Island book signing lasted about 25 minutes and there were all of 15 or so people who showed up for it.
==============
Embarrassing. Simply humiliating (if it's true). Milo was giddy with excitement in her proclamation that all of Staten Island would be there and extra security would be needed to maintain order and direct the flow of traffic -- akin to Black Friday sales at Walmart.
I would think New York and L.A. would be the last place to bother with a book signing. There must be 30 book signings a day in those places and most of those places are well used to celebrities. A d list ex- reality star would be NOTHING to them and no one is going to bother on a school night.
I don't think Pioneer Woman is even bothering with NY/LA or if she is, nonetheless the bulk of her signings are in the midwest, south, eastern seaboard, smaller cities the salt of the earth places where fans really are. Unless you're a major author you're not going to get anyone in NYC, but if Kate went to Gary Indiana or Tulsa Oklahoma or Dixon, Illinois I bet she's wrangle in a couple hundred a pop, as long as it's promoted properly.
Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...
I'm glad someone took a photo so we know they're not lying about the low turnout like Baby Mama accused ME of lying about the low turnout in Santa Monica. I usually don't care what she thinks but in that particular case it was nice to be vindicated when it came out that Kate was crying in a utility closet for the very reason that I spoke of--low turnout. For some reason since I was actually there, it really bothered me that particular time to be accused about lying about something in which I was really THERE for.
Right, admin. I'm trying to figure out how she's connecting the necessity to go through with the lawsuit to the kids' safety. If the bullies have her concerned, a decision for the plaintiff in the lawsuit isn't going to make one bit of difference if she's worried about the haters.
If she's claiming Jon is the reason for her safety concerns, exactly what has he done or is he doing that would be reason to bring a lawsuit against him? Is there anything in the complaint that alleges he has done anything to jeopardize the welfare of his children?
I wonder if even she knows what she means.
jbranck1980 said...
Her shows were opportunities, she has to stop referring to them as her "work". They were opportunities squandered, with relationships irrevocably broken, all while twisting the truth and damaging her children's lives. Those opportunities were a gift, work is what the rest of us do. Wake up Kate, it's over and Jon had absolutely nothing to do with your demise
I don't think I've ever seen her this angry, bitter and downright delusional. She seems very desperate. I'm not a doctor but today's interviews were borderline disturbing. This is really frustrating her. She wants him OUT!! She's as cruel as they come...
Well, the past few days certainly has seen quite a bit of activity in the Gosselin World.
Jon gives two interviews and has a run in with a pap. The interviews are low-key with a local newspaper. In the interview Jon sounds like just another person in the community, not Mr. Big-I-Am. In addition he defends his property from a pap, all the while staying within the law and not harming anyone. He got his information to the public (interview and encounter). There was no interviews with major shows, just a local newspaper. And, the public has responded via remarks that they like him.
Now to Kate. What more is there to say. She contradicted herself within interviews, didn’t do her job pushing her book, and revealed information about the TLC contract. Oh there is so much more I can mention but people on this site have already covered that ground quite thoroughly. And, the public responded via remarks by saying bad things about her.
IMO Jon has shown himself to be authentic. Kate….not sure what she is anymore; too much plastic surgery, botox, lying, lying, lying.
&&&
This is the impression she's been giving for awhile yes, and I think if you read her blog post about why she has to go forward with this lawsuit, she pretty much says that. She is not specific about what he did but does indicate he is the root of it all. I don't feel like finding it at the moment but she basically said she was trying to track down who was causing all the "hate" against her and it led her, wouldn't you know it, back to Jon (big surprise there, of course it did, everything is his fault!). It was pretty darn clear she feels he is at the center of this all. However, I think she worked backwards. She had it in her head that Jon was at fault (for everything) and so she just made everything fit into that theory not matter how ludicrous.
Meanwhile the guy is hosting at a restaurant and holding baby deer. Paranoid delusions.
&&&
It's true. It's neither here nor there. There is no crime against posting on a blog. In fact as I hear it lots of celebs do it all the time, especially those new to celebrity and being talked about on the blogs is a novelty to them. The hardest thing to explain to a client is that there is a difference between not liking something, or something being really unfair, or unjust, and being able to DO anything about it legally. There are many annoyances we face in life but few ever present a cause of action for a lawsuit. The most she could try to do if she thinks that's happening is try to get the family law court to intervene and say he needs to refrain from doing that....and even they are going to be reluctant to make such an order.
Tucker's Mom said...
Interesting that Robert is asking for any positive stories about Kate be emailed to him. Perhaps it's because once again, Kate just today insisted that virtually everyone she meets has a positive experience with her, even when expecting the worst.
Why does it matter whether you try to alienate someone on a blog or on GMA?
What's the difference? You really hit on this Sherri. She does the same thing she is accusing him of to him--trashing him and orchestrating hate against him. The fact that she chooses to do it on GMA or whatever doesn't make it DIFFERENT. If anything it's worse because their audience is much larger. She has had free reign to trash him for years and took advantage of every opportunity. Can you imagine if Jon started going on some campaign implying he actually has the children most of the time and the kids only see her because she's their mom and that she is a deadbeat mom who flutters from job to job he doesn't pay attention to what he does? She would be outraged.
Kate's take on 15 books at $22.95/book would be about $35 dollars ($2.30 per book). That will pay for about one fin of a fish in paper....
You are there to give advice but ultimately it's up to them whether they want to take it and the only thing you can do if they disobey your advice is to tell them I advised you not to do that.
*****
Well, the attorney has another option, not often used. They can withdraw from representing that client. If they believe the client is actively harming their case by speaking publicly, or otherwise sabotaging the attorney's case, an attorney can have enough and decide they want out.
I've seen this happen in various cases throughout the years. One such recent case was an attorney doing his best to represent his client and get him a good settlement in a personal injury case. Unfortunately for the attorney, the client was a habitual liar. Very charming, intelligent and came across well in initial interviews. Only over time could you see that this guy was a liar, and probably had some elements of narcisstic personality disorder. The attorney finally had enough and substituted out of the case.
So if Kate keeps ignoring her attorney's advice, or actively doing what she was asked not to do - maybe her attorney will simply quit on her. Leaving her to either represent herself or have to deal with trying to convince another attorney to represent her. And once an attorney has quit on you, most experienced attorneys will wonder why and not be very eager to jump into their place.
Yes, Kate enjoys manipulating every situation, while lying in the process. Personal story... (told it here, a few times). I can't remember what we were chatting about on Jon's Twitter when this happened-- maybe 2 years ago. I think it was song of the week. I know I told Gypsi I would send her a personal signed copy of Jon's book, he was then kicking around about publishing. She told me okay, as she was a fan of the family when I checked her on letting him go to print as Kate has done. No bi#ching about it either. Kate had already blocked me for wishing her dimple arse a happy birthday, and was not included in the @. My one-on-one w/Gypsi to @WhyIsMommyOrange got to Kate so much, that she BLOCKED Gypsi. G was one of the lone cruise family-wide 6-pack impulse buys, mind you. Katie K's own Tweet said (ad lib, but almost as verbatim as you can get)... "Ummmm, I'm blocking you Gypsi cause I saw SUM questionable tweets to Ms. Orange, blah, blah". Never said it was on Jon's Twitter and went to dual convo. Pretending to not know is not fooling anyone. Kate reads all of it, or she would never have become so incredibly self-involved in a friendly exchange between a Sheeple and a Truther. StrawberryPSU contacted me, and I made things right again. ''Well, the attorney has another option, not often used. They can withdraw from representing that client. If they believe the client is actively harming their case by speaking publicly, or otherwise sabotaging the attorney's case, an attorney can have enough and decide they want out.''
Millicent...your comment reminded me of something I got involved in ten years or so ago that I hadn't even thought about till I read what you said.
I was sued (by a family member) and hired the attorney across the street from me. The person suing me was fired by her first two attorneys, and SO obnoxious to my attorney, driving him nuts with her incessant phone calls. He and his office staff were so annoyed by her that he ended up representing me for free...''just for the pleasure of taking her down!''
How weird is that? Sounds sorta like a TFMJG and Robert and Jon's attorneys, doesn't it?
So about 50 people showed up for TFMJG's book signing and it lasted about 25 minutes. That's 30 seconds per person.
There was a fan who tweeted that she was so exited to chat with Kate and get to know her. I wonder how much chattin and gettin to know her she was able to do in 30 seconds!
So 15... 15 people showed up to the book signing? She gave a whole 25 minutes to the fans she loves SO much? This is the info I got from this site,which I believe. I didn't watch or hear any of her latest interviews ( her voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me)
I hope Jon or Roberts attorneys are listening. Jon need's to keep quiet now,TFW is making his case stronger by every word she speaks. Once Jon and Robert wins this lawsuit TFW will finally be done.
Let's see how many show's TFW will appear on after she is proven a liar and child abuser.When she can't demand what questions she will answer.
Just a reminder to TFW... The kid's will see and hear everything you have said and done over the years sooner than you think.Let's hope they got the gene to forgive. We know they won't get it from you.
You reap what you sow.
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked,for whatever one sows,that will he also reap!
Finally found a link where I could watch TFW on ET ( Cant seem to watch any of The Today show liinks)
The piece where she says she is at the very,very,very end of her TLC contract and there is lots of interest there...
I noted her play on words. I take it to mean " SHE" has lots of interest in pursuing other options.
Okay TFW...prove it. I am waiting to hear about all the " interest" that is out there!
You sunk your ship with this lawsuit. Hardly anyone knew about Roberts book. Now many more people will know.
Even B&N asked you to leave and take your books with you.
Kate get it figured out before you become another Phylis Diller!
I think I will email Robert a positive story about Kate.
Another positive story about Kate. I think she's taught so many people what NOT to do as parents, and made us so appreciative for the relationship that we have with our children. Because of her behavior, she's shown us how to be better parents. We do the opposite of what she's done and continues to do.
Her next book better be a coloring book.
Oh, Auntie. Please don't give her any ideas! I can just imagine the pictures: 8 kids with a big spoon hovering over their heads; 8 kids sharing one personal pan pizza; 3 kids tending to 50 chickens; 8 kids hunting 800 Easter eggs; 8 kids jumping into a swimming pool; 1 kid crawling under a BBB; 6 nine-year-old kids sitting in high chairs; 8 kids crying around a campfire; 8 kids smearing pudding on their faces; 6 kids sitting on potties in a driveway; 7 kids vomiting; 1 kid being disimpacted; 8 kids bowing down in front of TFW; 8 kids wailing that they miss filming; and a globe surrounded by 7 kids all pointing at one other kid. The possibilities are endless.
The expression on Nancy O'Dell's face tonight was priceless. When she quoted Kate as saying that the kids really want to get back on television. O'Dell stared right in to the camera with such a look, as if to say, “sure Kate, that's what THEY want".
Kate is her own undoing, she is unraveling, tangled up in her own lies. You can see it, she cannot keep up the facade much longer. It is etched on her face, shows through her blank eyes and forced smiles. Somewhere, deep inside she knows it's all falling apart but desperation fuels her and revenge is all she has left.
LOL Remona - although I'm sorry you were once involved in a very unpleasant legal situation, your story illustrated my point exactly. Attorneys are professionals who have to first complete a 4-year college degree, then go on to obtain their juris doctorate, then pass their State's Bar exam, in order to practice law. As a result, most of them are (rightly so) quite proud of their profession and themselves. As a client, you can certainly ask your attorney questions or ask to be very involved in your case, but a good attorney will tell their client, "I'm the boss. I make the legal decisions, not you." In the legal profession, it's called "client control." I should feel sorry for Kate's attorneys, but I just can't. I am sure she is a massive headache to deal with.
According to the ET interview, Kate has no regrets and if given the chance for a do over, she would n't change a thing.
And, in a way, she did win a victory today by deflecting attention away from RH's book--not a single mention. So, as poor as her performance was in her interviews, she did succeed in controlling the conversation.
Millicent I usually agree with you but I don't know if I agree you can say to a client I'm the boss this is how it's gonna be. Each state has its own rules but in CA you can only make trial strategy decisions that contradict what your client wants, such as what witnesses to call. Everything else is up to the client even if you tell them it's a terrible idea. If they still want to do it, you're stuck doing it (or quit, as you said, which only works for private attorneys). This is where sometimes people say oh why did that attorney do that what a mistake, when really it was the client who was pushing it. Where client control comes in is more about persuading. Persuading them that the course of action you're advising is the best one even if they're strongly pushing to do something else. Even then depending on the situation, you might not necessarily push what you think is best that aggressively. It's their life, not yours. For instance an attorney advising Kate about this lawsuit might say well, you COULD sue and we might be able to get him on this or that charge, but I can't tell you that suing is the way to go. It's your life, your money, your time, your stress. I can't picture any attorney advising that this lawsuit was that bright of an idea, especially with the glaring SOL problem. But if you've agreed to take her on and tackle what she wants, you're obligated to try to come up with something meritorious to file--it's what she wants.
