Tony: Kate doesn't return my phone calls

Poor Tony, just another casualty in the long list of people Kate has estranged from her and the children's lives. When asked if he keeps in touch with Kate Gosselin, Tony replied, "I tried, but she didn't return my phone calls!"

Thanks for the update, Admin. Tony is a class act and he and Audrina deserved to be in the finals. Not sure what happened, but I suspect the show is rigged. I'm done with it for good.

Say what you will about the lovely KateG, but she is remarkably true to character. This can hardly come as a surprise.

I didn't give Tony and Audrina one vote. I figured they already had a great fan base and she was always pretty good as a newbie dancer. I have to admit that I don't know Audrina as our family does not watch MTV. I figured that the other crowd would vote for them. Our family always has been voting for Kyle and Bristol. We like how Kyle is 'out there' giving his all - and my kids grew up watching him on Disney. We also like how Bristol listens to the judges comments, doesn't make excuses and tries really hard the next week. She's been crucified for two choices she made (one was dating and having sex with Levi - the other was keeping her baby) and who her mother is.
I will admit we did vote for Brandy the week that Bristol and Mark did the Monkey suit thing...she just didn't have it that week.
I find it hilarious when people say it's rigged. OF COURSE it's rigged. It's rigged for the sports fans, the MTV crowd (Audrina and the Situation) The older crowd and not so older crowd -Mrs. Brady and 'Baby', the Music fans etc.
They get a mix from every demographic corner. It's just which corner is more enthused each season.

Of course, now the fans are bashing Tony to pieces and blaming HIM for Kate's abysmal performance last year. Remember when they thought he was the greatest thing ever? Revisionist history once again.

What a dainty little doll she is compared with Kart G. And genuinely sweet, too. I can't vote b/c I'm in Canada but I enjoyed watching Tony & Audrina. I'll miss them!

Actually, I think he said, "I tried, but she didn't return my calls." I doubt he tried very long - nobody likes to be blown off. I like Tony, he is very personable and gracious.

Donny Osmond won so that pretty much rates the talent portion of the show. I think Audrina and Tony deserved to be in the top 3.

A Pink Straight Jacket For Kate said...

Sad to see them go so soon.

For whatever it's worth; it was nice to see Tony paired up with someone sweet, and willing to work, with no excuses, or drama.

Did you notice everyone at the end of the show walked over to Tony & Audrina for hugs and support? That demonstration of affection was definitely missing the night Kate was booted off the show.

Very telling....

Anyway, even though Tony & Audrina did not win, It's obvious that all the contestants and dancers really liked each other.

Lolly said...

I am sure that Kate blames HIM for her being a lousy dancer. What an ungrateful, hateful person she is. She could have kept these contacts for future opportunities. I remember Tony saying that Kate had no motivation at all, each week he had get her motivated. Sure, she was getting a paycheck with or without trying, no need to work for it. This is the very reason I seriously doubt she will ever be on Celebrity Apprentice. They actually HAVE to work hard to win.

This is that same hatefulness she shows when she said she gets upset (Or whatever word she used) when she sees couples holding hands, because she has no one. Selfish, hateful, jealous and spiteful. She must have been one whiny, complaining child to deal with.

ALL in my IMO of course. blech

Caption on thread: "I try, but she doesn't return my phone calls!"

----------------------

If you listen closely, what he says is "I TRIED, but she DIDN'T answer my (inaudible, at least to me!) Past tense. What does this imply? I'm not sure, but it sounds to me like he was joking and said that he TRIED and because they lost, she didn't answer his message (s). I'm wondering when this was -- some time ago, just recently, since this season of DWTS began?

It doesn't sound to me like this is an on-going thing based on the fact that he put it in the past tense. Maybe he just gave up!

"Poor Tony, just another casualty in the long list of people Kate has estranged from her and the children's lives."

------------------------

How much was he in the children's lives? Did he continue to visit them after the show ended -- were they close to him and his family? He is married with children, isn't he? Are there pictures of them all together that shows them in a non-business/non-entertainment relationship? I know nothing about Tony. I'm a DWTS newbie! He certainly seems like a really nice guy, though!

Gin said...

I think the judge's comments influenced the voters this week. They went overboard on their criticism and their praise--way too harsh on Jennifer and overly enthusiastic on Bristol. I think Carrie Ann's remark that Jennifer was the "chosen one" (which caused extreme groaning from the audience) also affected the voting. Brandy gives me the feeling that her world will fall apart if she doesn't win. She said it means more to her than to anybody else. Very self-centered of her. I'd also like to point out that Audrina and Jennifer are mentioned in other blogs as the "bottom two." And yet Tom Bergeron said they weren't necessarily the bottom two. Obviously Audrina was but it might not apply to Jennifer. I hope that's true.

My chuckle for the day:

The day after getting elimintated from DWTS, popeater.com has an article saying that Audrina Patridge has landed her own reality show. The show will be about Audrina and her family as they learn the ins and outs of juggling their lives and careers in Hollywood.

Anybody else think that Kate will be pitching a fit when she hears this news because it should have been her except that she is under contract with TLC?

Vanessa said...

She probably won't return his calls because in her mind he's responsible for her failure in the competition, he's responsible for the caricature she's become since her disastrous
attempt to dance, and basically, she just chews you up and spits you out!

----------
Audrina Patridge's new reality show has been in development since March 2009, when she signed-on with Mark Burnett (from "Survivor"). They've been shopping their show to different networks, and it was finally picked-up by Vh1 (which is a sister network of MTV which aired "The Hills"). Her new show was supposed to start filming after Audrina finished the fifth season of "The Hills".

http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/mtv-lands-audrina-patridge-new-mark-burnett-produced-reality-show-9161.php

I doubt this was a direct result from her DWTS appearance as it was already in the works, so Kate has nothing to complain about.

As far as Kate's TLC contract, I think this goes for almost any broadcast/cable network. There's probably a provision or clause stating that the network has exclusive rights of the entertainer for a certain amount of time, so that person cannot jump from one network to another without approval. It's rare to see reality stars from one show appear on another network; a different channel from the same network, yes.

Kate doesn't have to look any further than the Jon/TLC fiasco. She should have read and understood the fine print of her contract, before going all diva during the Palin camping trip. Kate put the last nail into her own coffin.

I didn't expect Tony to win but I surely thought he deserved to be in the finals. How can Bristol still be there but Audrina is voted off? I don't 'beleive' that Audrina didn't get enough votes. I've never voted and I don't even watch but I signed on just to vote for Tony.

Anonymous said...

I don't suppose Kate thinks she made a fool of herself on DWTS but millions did. Her attitude also was well documented. I think she expected to be a category A celebrity after this show when, in fact, you could say she has self-destructed.

Anonymous said...

Lolly, just curious, where did Kate say she doesn't like to see couples holding hand (cuz she has no one, boo freakin hoo)?

I never heard that before but wouldn't that make Kate a Jelus hater?

Moose Mania said...

Just a follow-up to my previous post. When is one considered "estranged" from the children's lives? If the kids develop a relationship with their pool guy over a period of six months, watching him clean the pool, helping him with the filter, etc., and Kate fires him because he didn't get one leaf off the pool, is she guilty of yanking another person out of their lives? When does it become "estrangement?"

I certainly can see that their grandparents, aunts and uncles, relatives, perhaps nannies, sitters, can be considered estranged, but when does a "business" relationship become personal, because that's what Tony clearly was at the beginning? Was this ever seen as a long-term relationship between Kate, her kids, and Tony? How much of a relationship could they have had after the show ended? It's not exactly like he's in the next town "over."

Would she have invited him and his family to Thanksgiving dinner, along with Steve?

Lolly said...This is the very reason I seriously doubt she will ever be on Celebrity Apprentice. They actually HAVE to work hard to win.

Well, she didn't make it onto this upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice. I doubt Donald Trump would invite her once she's lost her celebrity appeal.

She must have been one whiny, complaining child to deal with.

Totally! When she can no longer deal with her own kids or a stressful situation, she has her mini-meltdowns and acts like a kid making whining noises/gestures looking at the camera like its a parent hoping to fix the situation.

I agree with the posters who said that Kate blames Tony for not winning the competition. She cannot/refuses to find fault within herself so she always seems to put the blame on others. As for her dwindling reality tv career, I'm sure she'll find someone/something to blame when her show(s) cease to exist.

Anonymous said...

First of all, WHY would he try and maintain contact with her? Second, Kate is a narcissist and you can take it to the bank that she blames Tony entirely for not winning DWTS. Narcissists blame EVERYONE ELSE for EVERYTHING. They behave horribly and treat others like second class citizens and they blame the people they have treated badly. Have you ever heard her take responsibility for anything?!?! You haven't. And even If she does, it's followed by an excuse.

I remember that moment very well - all the other contestants were standing apart from Kate and Tony, and when Brooke said 'Hey, how about a group hug?' - nobody moved towards them. They looked rooted to the ground! Very, very telling of how they felt towards Kate. I felt bad for Tony, though.

"Dani said... Lolly, just curious, where did Kate say she doesn't like to see couples holding hand (cuz she has no one, boo freakin hoo)?"

It was in the latest People interview, with her heavily photoshopped pix. LOL She actually said "annoyed"

"All I can say to this mystery man is hurry it up! Every woman I pass is holding someone's hand, and that annoys me. I'm lonely, and I need help."

Why on earth would someone else's happiness "annoy" anyone? No one else can be happy if you are not? And oh yeah, saying I am lonely and need help, does not exactly appeal to most of the men I know who have read that. One friend told me it sounds like she is advertising for a hired hand, not a hubby.

"Anonymous said... First of all, WHY would he try and maintain contact with her?"

I am sure that Tony called to make sure she was ok after being eliminated. He is truly a gentleman so that would be my guess. But I get your question. LOL

That poor man really had to dumb down how he danced with Kate. I watched a couple of videos of Kate compared to a few others that Tony danced with on DWTS, and WOW what a difference in the dancing with Tony.

Hmmm, why would Kate be pitching a fit? Possibly because the reality show she "has" is tanking in ratings, and is reportedly on its last legs. Possibly because the reality show she "has" likely won't be around much longer. Hopefully we can soon say the same for Ms. G.

Oh, and Laura D... Canadians can vote on DWTS, both by phone and online.

Thanks OC for the background. Fact is I did not know who Audrina was before DWTS, just like I'm sure millions of people did not know who Kate was before she was on DWTS.

The thought of Tony continually trying to get in touch with Kate Gosselin is laughable.

It's good to have links to verify, but when the headline is incorrect, it should be corrected.

Quite possibly because Audrina's show sounds eerily similar to Twisted Kate, the future of which seems to be quite up in the air right now, and if Twisted happens, Audrina's show could be competition for Kate's show. As they say, no publicity is bad publicity.

If TLC still fully-supported Kate, wouldn't they have tried to get Kate Gosselin back onto DWTS for this special episode? They let Kate compete in DWTS last season and managed to promote the first "special" of Kate Plus 8.

Kate wasn't the best dancer at all, but she'll probably be one of the most remembered. She did, unfortunately, make it onto the Emmys for her "dancing skills".

Is she blacklisted from participating/attending this episode? Even to be in the audience?

Or, are networks starting to realize that Kate has lost her celebrity appeal?

The least Kate could do if she is being such a baby about Tony is to answer his phone call and do him the courtesy of telling him she'd rather not keep in touch. She had a chance to make a lasting friendship with someone heavily involved in the very world she wants to be a part of and she pissed it away. He extended the olive branch and she pissed it away. She probably sees Audriana's early depature as justification for it being all Tony's fault.

I'm curious how Kate explains how Tony took two post menopausal women all the way to sixth place.

I think I could accept her blaming Tony had Kate 1. busted ass and 2. listened to what he said. Instead we see her threatening to quit, whining, complaining, and overall being an utter nightmare of a student while he struggled to get her through every step.

&&&&&&&&&
So true. I know many people here have been the victims of a narcissist. Fortunatly I never had to live with one but others have, but I did have an employer who was one. When this person was done with me, I did not exist. I had no name. I had no phone number. Calls were sent to VM and never returned. Emails were never opened. The veil of "cutting me off" was extended to the entire family. There was no reason for the cut off, it was simply a cut off.

I just wanted closure with it, and I suspect that's all Tony wanted to. A phone call and closure. But a narcissist does everything to avoid having a normal human dissolution of a relationship.

Although if it does give people hope, four years later I did reach out to another family member and they responded quite positively. There is hope for those whom Kate is trying to bring into her toxic circle, namely the kids. Kate cannot control that they are each developing minds of their own.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

You know it's strikes me that I'm not even 100% sure a narcissist is fully aware they are cutting someone off. It's just a cut off, out of sight out of mind, if you are not in front of them you do not exist.

Oh honey, where have you been? Kate doesn't want a reality show w/her KIDS. She wants to be out in Hollywood, hosting or interviewing someone important..so she can have a mike in her hand to hog and to feel she is part of the "in" crowd. Kate has bigger aspirations than playing a mother on TV. Too bad nobody seems to be biting.

Linda said...

Admin, exactly. They don't even think of it as a snub or a cutting out of your life. Not to excuse it at all, but the narcissist's mind works differently than a normal person.

Other people exist SOLELY to serve the narcissist--bring them fame, glory, do them favors, clean up after them, you name it. Other people do NOT have lives of their own, interests of their own, or families of their own.

My brother and I used to call it "pinging the radar." If a narcissist needs something from you at that point in time, you will "ping their radar." You will exist.

But as soon as they either:

1. have gotten from you what they wanted or

2. see that they can no longer get what they wanted from you,

you cease to exist.

It's important that you cease to exist, otherwise you would be a visual and auditory reminder of a person who can either no longer do things for them or refuse to do things for them. That cannot stand in a narcissist's world. You must not exist.

That's part of the reason Jon drives her so up a wall. He's the father of her children, so she CAN'T make him not exist. But doggone if she's not going to try.

It just speaks to Tony's ability to get a dancer, even one at a disadvantage, to a very decent sixth place.

It's a simple fact that most dancers over 50 on this show do not make it past the first few rounds. But he brought not one but TWO of them past sixth place.

The point is I think he was perfectly capable of getting Kate a lot farther than he did, had Kate cooperated. Kate did herself in, not Tony.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

It's just crazy how similar Tony's experience with the narcissist who crossed his path is to many of us who have been "cut off." There is just absolutely no doubt in my mind Kate is, in fact, a bonafide narcissist. She is so textbook it's insane.

The victim, Tony, after failing to reach out to the narcissist with no explanation, is left baffled as to how, why, what happened. He is at a total loss why she wouldn't so much as text him back when he made a simple phone call to her. Meanwhile to Kate not a single thought is given to potential for future opportunities with this person, at this moment they are of no use so they are gone, end of story.

Someone like Kate is not capable of looking more than one move ahead in the chess game. But it's the people that see three, four, and more moves ahead that win chess, and win at the game of money in the real world too.

Not to mention having Tony in your Rolodex, why wouldn't you want to maintain at least a casual friendship with someone whom no one else seems to have a problem with? Don't friendships help fill you up?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Another case in point, had Kate made an effort to maintain a real relationship with Tony and keep things very cordial, Tony might have pulled for her to please join the 200th episode and be part of the 50 stars coming back. That's just one example of a potential opportunity squandered. It certainly cannot hurt to have Tony in her corner. Maintain a good relationship with Tony, more money for Kate. Just like I'm strongly persuaded that keeping Aunt Jodi around could have easily resulted in everyone having more money. And isnt that what Kate cares about the most?

But I doubt Tony would stick his neck out like that when Kate can't return a simple phone call.

It's funny b/c when Kate + 8 aired it's first episode (yes I admit I watched it, but honestly don't anymore...it has lost its appeal), Kate said something like "I'm always one step ahead of you, you, and you", meaning that she has so many kids so she has to be ahead of the game. Yet she can't see that being friends w/ ppl in the biz (Tony, etc.) might actually help to get the job she wants, plus it would better her reputation if she managed to stay friends w/ anyone. Who wants to watch these kids running around Party City screaming about costumes anytime after this week - makes no sense to me. Guess Steve shows up when he gets paid, now that's another relationship that's really close and personal.

Westcoaster I was thinking that exact same thing. Also they have waited a very long time to air the Alaska episode, a whopping five months. It seems to me hearing all about some trip last July loses some of the interest factor when it's that old.

Shows with actors film the Halloween episode the spring before, the Thanksgiving episode around Labor Day and the Christmas episode around Halloween. But with reality you can't do that--well you can, but then that really wouldn't be reality.

http://www.channelguidemag.com/falltvpreview/index.php/downsized/

At last — a reality show about reality! WE tv’s cameras follow the Bruces, a blended family of nine who — like millions of other American households — had the bottom fall out of their free-spending life when the recession hit, bringing with it job loss and foreclosure. Forced to make radical lifestyle changes, including making their own clothes and growing food, the family discovers a collective innovation, determination and resilience they never knew they had.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Yes I like how Steve finally made an appearance, and sure enough it's because TLC is filming. When is Kate going to realize this guy is not her friend unless the clock is running. Where's he been the past three months while Jon was fighting to stop this madness?

OC Girl said...

Midnight Madness said...Quite possibly because Audrina's show sounds eerily similar to Twisted Kate, the future of which seems to be quite up in the air right now, and if Twisted happens, Audrina's show could be competition for Kate's show. Not only that, but if Kate's contract with TLC expires and/or the show is cancelled, I would think that she would have loved to have had a shot at a show filmed in Hollywood!
----------
Are you sure that Audrina's new show will be similar to Twist of Kate?

Although famous for producing competitive reality shows, Mark Burnett is creating a NON-COMPETITIVE reality show with Audrina Patridge featuring her personal and professional life - as she pursues her acting career and dealing with being a celebrity.

http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/03/18/audrina-partrid/

http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2010/10/27/dancing-with-the-stars-eliminated-contestant-talks-about-next-gig-another-reality-show/

Just like The Hills, it'll probably be filmed in Hollywood, New York, etc., wherever Audrina happens to travel and work.

I don't understand how it's assumed that Audrina's show will compete against Kate's show. The Hills and Jon&Kate Plus 8 aired/ended around the same time, and I don't recall anyone comparing who had the better ratings on any of the Gosselin blogs. They might share similar demographics, but Audrina's shows (past and future) skew towards the younger audience.

As for Kate, she has only herself to blame if her tv career doesn't take off. She's shown that she is difficult to work with i.e. screwing up TLC's Palin/Gosselin cross-promotional strategy and lack of effort/motivation on DWTS.

Kate should learn a lesson from Audrina: "We are truly pleased to have the chance to work with Audrina," Burnett told The Hollywood Reporter. "She has already proved her star quality, and we can’t wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career." Working hard, being easy/pleasurable on-set, and just plain LIKABLE will get others to notice. (Quote from first link above.)

Wow...Kate doesn't waste any time signing off on filming after the judge ruled in her favor.

Which blog was this posted on? Just curious because no information has appeared when googling news for 'kate gosselin'.

Although, I'm sure INF or Radaronline will eventually post info/pics if this is really true.

It's a little too late to be filming a Halloween special. When are they going to air this one, Halloween 2011?

I guess it's hard to fake another holiday after Aunt Jodi spilled the beans about faking Christmas.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

No. I'm not sure, which is why I replied to another post earlier:

"The initial report I read (and heard on television) explained that the show will feature Audrina going around to various families, helping others deal with juggling their lives, marriages, children, in Hollywood.

It sounded to me like Twisted Kate. Perhaps it was an erroneous account of the show. You just can't believe anyone anymore!"

Why? Why would anyone want to watch this? Why do we rubberneck, peering into the lives of families? Why do we want to gawk at their private lives? Why do THEY want us looking at their family this way? What does this do to their children, when their lives are placed under scrutiny, only to become perhaps the victims of teasing by their peers?

Our reality is real enough. Why do we want to expose our private lives on national television?

Is money the great motivator? Would they do this for free, out of the goodness of their hearts...just to help others who may find themselves in this situation? I doubt it...

FORGET DATE NIGHT, IT’S KATE NIGHT ON TLC

TLC Premieres Back-to-Back Specials KATE PLUS EIGHT: ALASKA, HERE WE COME and WILLIAM & KATE: A ROYAL LOVE STORY on November 7 starting at 9pm ET/PT

On Sunday, November 7, TLC premieres back-to-back specials with two very busy Kates in the public eye in KATE PLUS EIGHT: ALASKA, HERE WE COME and WILLIAM & KATE: A ROYAL LOVE STORY. Starting at 9pm, a new hour-long installment of KATE PLUS EIGHT premieres with Kate and the kids traveling eight hours to Alaska their longest trip ever. The Gosselins set out to see huge snow-covered mountains, bright white glaciers and hopefully whales. They enjoy some family fun in the great outdoors when they experience what it’s like to ride on an Iditarod dog sled, but will Kate be okay letting her kids ride on such rough terrain? Then, everyone learns how to pan for gold as they head to the river in search of treasure. Will Kate and the kids be shocked by what they discover in the mud? And the excitement builds when it’s time to board the boat and head out to sea with great hopes of giant whales jumping in front of them. But will they actually see whale tails or just empty waters?

----------

To prevent any confusion about the Gosselins recent boating trips, the Alaska trip occurred in late-July BEFORE the Bald Head Island trip in mid-August.

Posted up-thread:

"Next week's "Dancing" episode will mark the show's 200th episode and more than 50 former celebrity contenders will be back for the monumental event.

Helio Castroneves, Kelly Osbourne, Emmitt Smith, Drew Lachey, Mel B and Gilles Marini will all return to serve as guest judges, while Apolo Anton Ohno and Kristi Yamaguchi will also be back to serve as head team captains for a group dance round with the show's current contenders."

http://tv.yahoo.com/news/article/tv.accesshollywood.com/tv.accesshollywood.com-spoiler-shocking-elimination-favorite-exits-dancing?nc

No mention of Kate Gosselin appearing in this special episode, neither as a dancer nor in the audience.

Someone from her PR team/TLC wouldn't keep this kind of information secret, if she was indeed on the show (ESPECIALLY with a new "special" airing in less than two weeks DURING NOVEMBER SWEEPS).

No publicity is bad publicity...

Where's the TLC blitz plastering Kate all over the tabloids and talk shows? How will they garner those big ratings?! (Sarcasm.)

Tic toc, tic toc...

(P.S. If that rumor posted above of Kate and the kids filming and shopping for Halloween costumes are indeed true, then there's no way Kate can participate in this upcoming special DWTS episode. She'll probably be filming the kids trick or treating or celebrating Halloween, Gosselin style.)

Well said! I had a "friend" many, many years ago that I actually had to take a break from for a few months as she was so toxic. What I didn't realize at that time was she was a complete narcissist. I found that out when we had plans to do something and she bailed without so much as a phone call; it upended my entire weekend. At that time I looked back at our "friendship" and realized it was totally one sided. I ended the friendship and haven't talked to her since. She has reached out to me a couple of times but only because she needed something from me; she'd leave messages saying she needed me to do something for her but I have not returned one of them. Nor will I.

It took Google .12 seconds to turn up this info about Audrina's new show apparently based in LA, not New York. AND, it looks like Tony also has a lot of interesting, new projects on the horizon. YAY, TONY

Dovolani and "DWTS" co-star Maksim Chmerkovskiy are planning to open a new dance studio together and it will serve as a setting in Patridge's new show.
"I'll be going to Tony's new dance studio with my girlfriends and bringing the cameras," she said.

"My new show with [reality TV producer] Mark Burnett just got picked up," she told people.com. "It's going to be on VH1 and we're going to start filming soon. I'm sure Tony will be on that."
The show reportedly document the reality star's life in Hollywood and is set to include an appearance by her pro dancing partner, who is about to open a dance studio with co-star Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
"I'll be going to Tony's new dance studio with my girlfriends and bringing the cameras," Patridge, who will also produce the series, told the gossip magazine.

The show, developed by 'Survivor' producer Mark Burnett, centers around the starlet and her family as they learn the ins and outs of juggling their lives and careers in Hollywood.

Excellent point! You are SO right! I too thought this looked like a great show. I thought that perhaps this could be a reality show that can actually help people facing similar issues. I needed your reminder that "reality" on tv isn't real. This family will find the answer to their financial woes by displaying their lives and issues on tv. In real life, people with financial issues have to find their own way, and it can be a painful process. So if I ever tune in to watch this show, I'll remind myself that the family is making money as I watch.

And here's my other Halloween thought - unless Party City brought in special merchandise for the G8, that costume stuff was picked over weeks ago. And in real life, most kids get the pleasure of planning a Halloween costume for some time in advance of the holiday. What do you think the G8 get to say when the other kids at school are talking about Halloween costumes - "oh, we can't get ours until the camera crew comes and films us?" Watching what they did on a summer vacation is equally uninteresting in real time, when real time has moved onto fall holidays and activities. Fake Christmas, fake Halloween, it's all smoke and mirrors with TLC and KG.

Hippie Chick said...

I believe that family that was on GMA this morning was named the McGhee's? Anyone heard of them? Hopefully they won't go down the reality TV path. Super cute babies BTW. Super tiny. I didn't hear the whole interview, just the last minute or so.

Someone here mentioned the kids will say they haven't picked out their costumes cause they have to film it first, I believe a while back she had stated that they have to go over things so the kids don't spill the beans about certain things they will be filming. In other words, the kids can't say to their friends where they are going or what their plans are cause it might get leaked out.

Ingrid said...

So if they are filming buying costumes I wonder if they will allow them to trick or treat too. (on film) I can just about picture them going through a neighborhood with their entourage of cameras & nannies and the boobyguard clearing the area of anyone who might get close to them.

4. Lisa Rinna
5. Gary Busey
6. David Cassidy
7. Jose Canseco
8. Meatloaf

Now I do not watch this show so I don't know how many contestants there are when the show starts BUT I'm sure that if Kate was in fact on this show she would have been mentioned. Kate isn't on Celebrity Apprentice -- they've already started filming.

The Gosselin shopping trip to Party City was posted on a blog by a viewer. I can't believe some are thinking it was filmed for a Halloween show -- let's think about this logically -- Halloween is in 3 days, so why would they be filming a Halloween show? IF the Gosselin's were seen IN Party City and buying Halloween items, I'm sure it wasn't for a Halloween show (plus, last I knew Party City didn't allow cameras in their store and they only filmed in the parking lot) and must be for another party episode they have planned.

Which leads to further speculation ...... what show AFTER the Alaska episode are they doing? OR......was the blog entry true/accurate in the first place? After all, there are no pics or videos to support this info other than an anonymous post.
Conclusion? IF they were filming, it wasn't for THIS Halloween and IF they were filming - what more do they have planned for these kids?

I don't remember there being any 'formal' announcement and I'm guessing that since he's a BLOGGER I believe he assumed, just like many other bloggers, that because there had been no news about Kate in weeks, that TLC had given her a break (which had been speculated and written about in almost all the online entertainment blogs). I think he was just going along with what everyone else 'assumed'. I don't believe he had any inside information.

This is what his blog said:
David Adams, 10-28-2010

It looks like Kate Gosselin isn't done quite yet on TLC. The often hated mother of eight will be getting her own special that will air on November 7th. How long will this Kate Gosselin phenomenon last?

Kate Gosselin's new special is called 'Kate Plus 8: Alaska Here We Come' and will be about Kate and her kids traveling to Alaska to see everything that the great state of Alaska has to offer.

It was only a week ago that it was reported that Kate Gosselin would be taking a break from TV for a while so the news of an hour long special is quite a surprise.

How long does TLC and Kate Gosselin think they can keep this up? Her ratings have been sliding all year long and an hour long special probably isn't going to save Kate Gosselin from America's declining interest in her. America has a short attention span and is always looking for something new to entertain them. All Kate Gosselin has to offer is her kids which frankly, has gotten old. If TLC plans on keeping Kate around much longer they are going to have to come with a new angle for her because we are getting bored.

Probably no homework. Tomorrow is a fun day with Halloween festivities, and there is no school on Friday. I'm reluctant to post school activities, but when questions are asked about homework, etc., a response may be in order.
Were they buying Halloween costumes?

Kate and kids were just filming at Party City in Wyo....picking out costumes....full film crew and Stevie Boy in tow. This was around 5pm today....so after a long day at school...commute to/back...we work instead of doing homework or unwinding.

Does anyone know if the Wicked witch of Wernersville will be on the 200th episode of DWTS? They said last night 50 former dancers will be there.....

Just wondering....

I think Jimmy Kimmel has a crush on Gosselin, after all, it was he who got her the gig at the Emmy Awards and he has had her on his show a couple of times not to mention he is always bringing her name up. Kate and Jimmy plus 8!

****

Why would Kate be pitching a fit? She already has her own reality show.

She probably won't return his calls because in her mind he's responsible for her failure in the competition, he's responsible for the caricature she's become since her disastrous
attempt to dance, and basically, she just chews you up and spits you out!
