Redemption

Dancing With the Stars' Tony Dovolani won the biggest prize of them all last night with his partner Melissa Rycroft. When asked on Jimmy Kimmel about Kate Gosselin, he said: "She's a sweetheart. I'm sure she voted for us." Kate tweeted her congratulations late today.

Not to mention, what celeb, or anyone, parks themselves on twitter and talks about how much money they spent on themselves? I mean it's just tacky to talk about how much money you spend, the classy rich people don't. Many people who are rich you would never know it unless you are a close family member or friend.

You EAT dandelions?? With cow poop on them? What kind of crazy people are you in PA? LOL

Just kidding, I never heard of dandelion salad, or fried scrapple. I love all this regional food from PA I keep hearing about. It's on my bucket list to try for sure. :)

---------------

Yes, I eat dandelion salad. Not the flowers...just the green stuff. There's only a short time period to dig it (literally) before it's tough. Dandelion with hot bacon and hard-boiled egg dressing...so good! I make sure mine is scrubbed, though, regardless if I dig it myself or buy it at the farmers' market. I can still remember my mother saying, "let's go hunt dandelion," and she'd get her little trowel and off we'd go.

Fried scrapple is an acquired taste...and I never acquired a taste for it. My grandparents ate it with maple syrup. Other foods to try are chow-chow and beef tongue sandwiches on thick bread with ketchup. We're nuts here, but we're happy.

Now I'm hungry again.

I tried making a salad with them once, but I found them bitter. Do you have a special recipe Parent?

Auntie Ann,
I don't know much of anything about dandelion salad, but I sure would LOVE some dandelion wine.
AA, were you also asking about squirrel gravy the other day? I once dated a man who loved small game hunting. I always told him that if you kill it and clean it I will cook it - I might order pizza, but I will give it my best shot. Now the ex loved grouse hunting (as I loved eating them) but some days he couldn't get any birds. Once he brought me home 3 squirrels (2 reds and a gray) and true to my word I cooked the little buggers. I made a squirrel pot pie and it wasn't bad! I find squirrel to taste a little like dark meat turkey, I guess it was a bit more game-y but good nonetheless.
Anyway, just thought I'd share my squirrel story.

Also, since we are on the subject of grifting...
I went to Gymboree for the first time on Tuesday. Well, now I know why kHatie poo-poo grifted so hard for the re-loading of her gift cards! Holy sheeple poop!! I bought 2 shirts and one pair of jeans for my new nephew and it cost $55! Can't say I'll be buying much there and I am still having some buyers remorse, I might still end up returning it...
I can not fathom putting eight (count 'em EIGHT) kids into those clothes. Grift away you lying asshat. I hope those kids throw yo under the bus as soon as they can. HATE the fact you deny them anything while yo slather on 200 dollars of skin cream on your rawhide face. Or is that your're rawhide face? Dunno, but either way you are an awful person.

Working Woman, sometimes you can't take it one day at a time, some days you just have to take it one minute or hour at a time. Take care and don't beat yourself up about any slip-ups!

Peace out, homies, and keep on dancing JOY!

My brother-in-law makes a mean dandelion wine. It knocks you over faster than rumspringa!

Auntie, maybe the cow poop sweetens them a bit! No recipe, but I know that they have to be picked at the right time or they are tough and bitter. There's only a short time period when they are young and tender. My mother always seemed to know the exact time for digging. The hot bacon and egg dressing is somewhat sweet, so I guess that helps kill any bitterness in them.

I watch Chopped, but I missed that show. Did they do anything creative with dandelion?

NJGal51,

LOL!!!! We eat 'healthy, whole foods', in fact I grind my own grain and eat mostly raw, and have nothing processed in our house, if that gives a picture.

During the few days between the original announcement and the court-ordered 'one last try' meeting, I figured the company would go out of business.

I'm not ashamed (LOL) to admit I ran to our local grocery store and they didn't have any Hostess products left. I was overcome with panic. Went straight to the big gas station and loaded up on chocolate and orange cupcakes, twinkies, peach pie, apple pie, cherry pie, powdered, coconut and chocolate donuts and one of those disgusting snoballs.

As I stood there, several people came in to do the same thing as me. We all were looking guiltily at each other then finally just burst out laughing. The shelf was pretty bare when we all headed up to the register. I actually gave one of my twinkies to a lady who had three kids and only two twinkies were left. She was so grateful.

Now yes, I know those treats were sinfully bad for me. But they were a part of my childhood from almost 60 years ago. My uncle managed a Hostess bakery and we'd get a rare treat when we visited them. Honestly, maybe only twice a year, but such emotional memories....

I also grew up on the white wonderbread, bologna sandwiches with yellow mustard.

So the stash went into the freezer. I ate one each day until they were gone. Only shared with DH the pies. He refused to eat the poison. LOL

I consider this my yearly detour and over the whole year will consider this 'in moderation'. Funny, they all seemed sweeter than I remember, but I just couldn't get past the snoball. That was pretty disgusting.

Childhood treats are the best, aren't they?

Another sweet memory is Sugar Babies - when I got my license to drive, and occasionally was allowed to drive to high school, we'd stop at a 7-11 and get a bag for the day. My girlfriend always got one of those large peppermint patties.

Interestingly, except for my indulgence in those ICONIC hostess treats, I have a hard time eating sugary stuff anymore. It just seems too sweet. Sets my teeth on edge.

Now salty and crunchy, that's another story. Yum.

eBay...many listings for brand new shirts start at ninety-nine cents, with about two dollars for shipping. At most, you'll pay five or six dollars for a shirt. You also need to watch the sales. I never buy anything there that isn't on a good sale. Gymboree also has an outlet where you can get last season's clothing at a fraction of the price for current items. Nobody knows if a pair of jeans is from the current line or the one from last season.

I see the fans and non-fans are still going after each other on Twitter. Without the non-fans, the sheeple would have nothing. Kate's Twitter would die. Why is it that the non-fans can't understand this? It's not about Kate anymore...it's about this Hatfields and McCoys sparring.

But when you eat the salty and crunchy, it has to be followed by the sweet and sugary to counter-balance it. Then, of course, you have to go back to the salty and crunchy to counter-balance the sweet and sugary. I can't eat popcorn at the movies without a box of chocolate covered peanuts as a chaser.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Does she know how many hard working single moms would be content with just ONE trip to Vegas this weekend let alone get to travel and be pampered as much as this rich tool is?

We used to be so content with one or two things and we were good. My mom always tells a sweet story about how she was a young mother, feeling overwhelmed, feeling like she never got to escape the diapers and crying. My grandfather, her father-in-law, was a very cultured man who loved opera and things like that. He saw she was struggling and invited her along on a long weekend trip to NYC. They went to the theater, opera, museums, she had an absolute blast, bonded with her father-in-law, and she always says that trip literally lasted her for the next 10 years. Even today she still talks about it. Those were the days when we really appreciated things like that. Of course, I came down with an ear infection the weekend she was gone and just wanted MOMMMMMY!!!!, but that's another story!

Dmasy,

Yes, I decided to get one. Our Costco has a Vitamix demo next week (I called to see...) so I hope there is a good deal on one. It's interesting that I've been seeing TV commercials for Vitamix for the past week. I don't remember ever seeing an ad on TV for them, I always figured because they are so expensive. But must be the holiday marketing blitz...

Ya know, all this talk about candy and cupcakes actually made me think about getting a bag of Sugar Babies tomorrow. Accckkkkk - it seems I'm suggestible tonight.

If I get one, would it be just 'a rare treat' or would I be starting down a slippery slope to sugar hooking?

Some days I have absolutely no will power which is why we don't have stuff in the house. Other days junk foods don't even register.

Hmm... onion rings...... hmmmm.........

Ah well, I'll make sure DH shops with me tomorrow - he'll take it right out of my hand and return it to the shelf. He's ruthless!

Junk food - we don't buy it.
Not on the list - we don't buy it.
Not on sale - we don't buy it.

Like I said, he's ruthless... LOL.

Bearswife - I guess I was thinking squirrels are just too cute to kill, it would be like eating a pet hamster or rabbit, lol. I don't think I could eat one but if I'll bet I would if I were starving.
You are a genuine pioneer woman for creating your own recipe for squirrel pot pie.

To go back to the Depression again, my mother said they would occasionally catch a jackrabbit and slaughter it, they were so hungry for meat but there wasn't a lot of meat on them. They were starving too and just living on sage and whatever they could find.

Parent - ah, cowpoop, the ultimate seasoning lol! The chefs made variations of salads too with the other ingredients they were given. I just google dandelion recipes. What an interesting plant.
According to the USDA Bulletin #8, "Composition of Foods" (Haytowitz and Matthews 1984), dandelions rank in the top 4 green vegetables in overall nutritional value.
I'm going to have to read more. They grow like weeds around here. (groan)

Auntie Ann,

My aunt had a squirrel she named One Ear who would come up on her porch and eat nuts and seeds from her hand. That squirrel came around for several years. She got such pleasure watching it. One fall it came with a partner and the partner finally would also eat the proffered nuts. Almost like One Ear was teaching it 'see, this lady is nice'.

If my aunt wasn't out on the porch when One Ear arrived, it would climb up the brick wall and hang on the screen looking in the kitchen window for her, shaking it's tail as if to say, 'I'm here, come out and feed me'.

Then a year came where One Ear never returned. My aunt talked about 'her' friendly squirrel for years afterwards. Never had any others come up on her porch like that one did.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

The close proximity to Milo giving gifts and Kate behaving like a uncouth rich tool were very close in time. Sometimes for someone to learn something or realize something the events need to occur very close in proximity. Like how you have to punish a young child immediately or they don't get it. For instance if Kate blows $200 on makeup 2 months from now the connection might not be made. But when it happens the very same week you sent her something, the connection should be clear.

Auntie Ann very much so. I think it's unusual for a 70 year old man to realize something is wrong with a 27 year old mother, and not only that, but to know exactly what to do to cure it.

The NYC trip story could go on for pages. But another part of it was that my grandfather had lots of foot problems later in life. My mom knew that and while they were walking everywhere in NY and she was having a blast, she kept asking him are your feet okay they okay? He said oh yes yes I'm fine I'm fine. Well, later in the hotel, he was in the bathroom a very long time. She went to check on him, and he was soaking his feet in the bathtub. They were bleeding!!!

He walked until his foot bled and didn't complain so that she could have a good time. There are some good men out there.

Aww Parent. They are so cute aren't they? I haven't posted and until today anyway I enjoyed a Kate free world.

I had luch with a friend today and I decided to be nosy and thumb through a few of her magazines on her coffee table. Probably an old one because the first page I opened had ful shot of Kate, in that idioditic white and skin colored dress from her "Dancing" days. And about how she was more interested in her hair and DWTS then her kids.

Unlike Kate I happen to have things to do to occupy my time, currently dealing with school finals for this term. I don't caer if she thinks she's involved just because she sends her kids to some fancy prep school she will never know what hard work means to earn something on your own.

And...well, I just have to ask. How do you afford a hobby when you have no job? Basic economic concept is salary-taxes-expenses. I wonder how do you tax someone who has no income? Since she isn't working (so says she is but what do I know) working to her probably means the same as it always had: doing the minimum while expecting everyone else to do the majority.

I'd love to see her honestly put in a full days work. You complain about exhaustion. I happen to know an attorney in my life recently she does work very hard at what she does. Kate has no idea what it means to get up, go to work, come home and you still have to take care of someone, pets, the house, the laundry, have a social life. This person I know I have never heard her complain she seems to enjoy it.

Actually what I want is for Kate to take up that promise that she will go work at a McDonald's if she has to. I'd love to see her have to deal with a 17 year old as her manger. Just the idea to have someone about her authority I wager wouldn't set too well with miss-high-and-mighty either. A hair net? Oh that just wouldn't ever do.

Anonymous said...

Then, this person, a woman I know on basis of exchange is a person I often ask advice of, find humor with and from time to time I marvel at even is she doesn't know it. This woman goes clearly what I know out of her way for other people. When you are kind enough to do someone a favor, something so simple as prayer request, or to sit and hold the hand of an elderly lady that you vounteer at or that you would ever go out of your way to feel motherly to a young boy who is quiet says a great deal more about work ethic and basic value. Someting Kate wil never have or ever bother to obtain.

This woman may not have children of her own but in a way I think when you try or go out of your way to encourage other people who are young, clueless then it says more about your mothering ability then some dumb raelity star.

Her meaning of Christmas, I learned more that it isn't about what you can maybe buy for your kids or what they want I think Christmas should be about teaching your kids that, hey, you have a bed to sleep in when a child in India is homeless. Look, you have food on your plate (Okay so Kate's maybe not the best example of that) but other children go to bed hungry for real.

I fid it down right pitiful of Kate to say that she loves Christmas when she doesn't probably know the first thing about what it means to give a child a Christmas. It isn't about wrapping paper, long lines, the best toy you can get. I think it at least for Kate should be to see that she is down right lucky to have a home, money in the bank, clothing (even if she looks like she gets dressed in the dark).

No worth ethic, no shame, no real empathy, and obvious low expectations of her own standards. What's that Kate? Oh yea, you get what you get and don't get upset. Well, you totally don't ever take your own advice. Otherwise you would have taken true meaningful opportunities to learn, love and give...when instead you are still al about getting.

My Christmas wish for Kate is that I hope you one day will walk past someone someday and see them not for the filthy out layer of clothing or worn out pair of shoes but that you look at a person and see the fact that they are standing in a soup line kitchen and are happy have joy in their eyes that people are there, caring and sharing for them instead of you and your materialistic needs because all I see on your face Kate is emptiness. You will never fill greed or wants because wanting something and truly needing something are andwill forever be different.

She then, around the holidays, takes the tub down to a local battered women's shelter. Those woman feel so special getting those type of items.

I had the little stick with the forked end, a great way to dig the weed and chop off the root at the same time lol. My mom would make the hot bacon dressing. I said yuck then and I say yuck now.

However, scrapple is another story. My husband's grandmother used to buy it from the farmer, packed into loaf pans. You partially defrost and then fry it up to be crispy. She tried to tell me what was in it and I wouldn't listen. Although I can guess, I just truly don't want to know for sure!

I agree that genetics also plays a part in the overall health of a person. My husband's family has horrible cholesterol and it doesn't matter how healthy they eat, their cholesterol remains high. But I do think that eating healthful, vitamin rich foods and drinking a lot of water helps. On the other hand, a treat now and then won't kill ya.

And Kate can suck it. The skin cream company that she is touting on Twitter isn't doing itself any favors by having her as a spokesperson. Her skin looks horrible. What are they thinking? They might as well use a snake as their spokesperson. A snake's skin would look better than Kate's and would have a better temperment.

Milo's probably upset that Kate didn't designate her the play-by-play person for the LV run. Milo's so obvious. I've wondered if her husband (if there is one) notices her infatuation with Kate - perhaps he doesn't care.

When Milo was in the hospital for surgery, wasn't it the husband who told the doctors and staff not to disclose the cancellation of Kate's show because it would send Milo into deep depression? If that's true, he certainly knows of her obsession with everything Kate.

You know what I liked about Catfish, too? He respected the woman who had deceived him so callously all those months. He treated her with dignity.

Because at the end of the day, there was a reason she was pretending to be someone else on the internet, and he realized it right off. Because her real life was very sad. She wasn't very well off, she was caring for two very disabled boys who weren't even her own, one of whom died shortly thereafter, she wasn't the artist she wished she could be. I find that movie rather uncomfortable for that very reason, because it really is just about a woman's life that she wants to escape so badly she will dream up an elaborate fantasy to do it and deceive others. In many ways, she reminds me of Kate, in that the twitter fantasy Kate has created of her family (squeals of delight, we love you mommy, girls night in!!!) is so unrealistic and over the top at times I feel sorry for her. I think half the time she is tweeting about this life she is probably actually alone.

Good to know! I have it set to record and look forward to it. Still haven't seen the movie...sigh. It's on that ever-growing list of mine.

The catfish-thing happened to me -- I wasn't scammed, but was peripherally involved in it. Happened many years ago. A woman pretended to be a paraplegic, struggling to become a physician, and she also was dxed with cancer. One of the nastiest personalities I ever encountered on the 'net (I was working for AOL at the time) and yet she had a fan club. Turned out she was/is a podiatrist with a couple of kids, isn't a paraplegic, never had cancer and did this pretending for fun. It's how she got her laughs.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I think the answer is pretty simple. Emotionally needy people feel fulfillment by interacting with someone big and powerful (celebs, puplic figures) especially when they interact back. In real life no one may want to be around them and everyone may treat them like a patient, but a big and powerful celebrity acknowledges them and treats them like they deserve.

And mentally deficient people fall for Kate's crap. That's just a simple lack of critical thinking skills to not be able to see through the very obvious smoke screens. They are so obvious only the very very stupid are left.

A few years ago when I was pregnant with my son I joined a baby month birth club online via whattoexpect.com. There were many women who were pregnant with their first child and over the first few months many posted about their troubles, fears and triumphs. There was one girl who was just 17 and posting that she was a cheerleader who had gotten pregnant with her 17 year old boyfriend. She posted what her parents reaction was to her news, what happened when she told her friends, getting her first look at the baby at 3 months. Etc and so on. At about 5 months some women from another "birth club month" came over to our messageboard and outed the "teenager" as a person who was well known for making up pregnant woman scenarios over and over again on that particular site. They posted evidence so it was pretty hard to refute.

I found it just incredibly sad because obviously this person wanted to feel what it was to be pregnant and had her own reasons for doing it. I also think that this phenomena could not have been unique to this one particular pregnancy website.

Milo only was the announcer for when Kate ran the half in SD. She tracked Kate on her phone, and then gave a play by play. You can only get mobile tracking for RnR races for the half or marathon. When she ran in Chicago and in NYC no mobile tracking was available, so Milo didn't do the play by play.

Kate is signed up for LV and she can be tracked via mobile phone. We'll have to wait and see if Milo will again be playing the "ace reporter".

The Internet is rife with these stories but most people simply keep quiet about them. When I was with AOL and then later a large website with message boards and chats, the scams and fraud that happened (especially on the health, expecting and baby boards) was hard to keep up with. Eventually, because of legal issues, many of the boards and all the chats had to be shut down. We were paying lawyers big bucks! The people who perpetuate this stuff though are still around. They've simply moved on to blogs, Facebook, etc.

I had not paid much attention to Kate's Twitter page until the last few months or so, when Milo's cult-like worship became so over-the-top that it's become fascinating. The squabbling between the haters and the sheeple is sometimes amusing, but also very interesting from a psychological viewpoint. Why do they continue to do this, knowing that this is what is keeping Kate relevant? Does she throw out tweets that she knows are controversial, such as this obsession with body cream, because she knows that this will cause the haters to comment, and therefore, the sheeple to defend her?

I noticed that there are only a handful of non-fans who have continued this bickering with the sheeple. If they would just go for the cease-fire, Kate's Twitter would become obsolete. I don't understand that THEY can't see this. They want to bring her down, but at the same time, by sniping at the sheeple, what they are doing is encouraging the fans to continue to come to her defense and praise her.

It's a vicious cycle...

I do think Kate purposely throws out stuff that the non-fans will criticize her for. Then she sits back and waits for her tweeties to come to her defense. I personally think she loves the bickering back and forth. She keeps saying to block the "haters", but apparently her enablers don't listen to her, and Kate thrives on all the attention.

The attacks and defense of Kate are so redundant now. Each side, the same die hards, fan or foe, says the same things over and over practically word for word. They are more into fighting with each other than anything it has to do with Kate.

I think the boycott accomplished the more than the fighting ever has. We got a clear picture of how few fans really do tweet Kate, Milo went completely overboard ape-sh*t and then disappeared, but people on both sides feel what THEY say needs to be heard even if many have said it before they speak out. So on and on it goes.

I have to admit, I'm disappointed it didn't continue although I knew the odds were slim it would.

Well, let me share my online profile if I may:

I'm 5'9", 130 lbs, natural full-figured where it counts, soft naturally blonde hair that falls attractively to my shoulders. I have a smattering of cute freckles across the bridge of my perky little nose, which sits right under my intelligent hazel eyes. My eyelashes are impossibly long, naturally so.

I'm very smart, kind to all beings, wealthy enough to share my millions with all who have needs, intuitive enough to seem naive, but not so much so that a bad person could take advantage of me.

I like long walks along the beach, candlelight dinners, good books and dancing in the rain. I'm only 2.8 miles from you.

I live in a beautiful home on a hill overlooking a private lake,in a wonderful state where my relatives all come for holiday dinners and summers by our pool. We actually have several brown leather couches out on the lanai.

Hmmmmm... how is the fantasy going so far? Are you buying it? ROFLMAO

I know what you all are talking about because I've seen so many stories about internet fraud. It's scary... luckily, I don't *think* I've ever been a victim of it.

OK, now for the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth that you have been waiting for (haven't you? LOL):

I'm not overweight, I'm undertall.
My eyes are green.
I am kind.
I like good books.

That's all. ha ha.... Somewhere the fantasy ran off the tracks, huh?

Well, anyhoo, I do like the posters here, and *that's* the truth!

Now, done with my silliness, off to shop. Only the list, nothing but the list, and NO SUGAR BABIES! Sad face.

ABSOLUTELY.

You don't have to go very far to read about how addictive the internet is in general whether it's games or chat/blogs/tweets/FB. NO ONE wants to admit they are addicted. I certainly am. I go in spurts but have no problem admitting it is addicting. I've suggested it before and depending on where I suggest it I'm attacked or deleted. LOL Talk about denial.

But yes, I believe there is not much difference between fans and non fans. Their agendas are the same--to keep the fight going.

Many of the twitterers try to tweet to almost anyone who is or has been at some time a public persona. If you look at who they follow, some follow ONLY public personalities, trying to get them to respond. It makes them feel important as if the person actually knows them and sometimes becomes kind of a competition between tweeters to see how many responses they get. (I really can't stand social media - I see on a daily basis how much trouble it causes and how dangerous it can be - and how little control one really has over it.)

I do not have a twitter account so I wanted to make a proposal to some here that do have accounts. Could a new boycott be planned on her twitter feed? One that has a set start and end date, perhaps five days in duration? That way the haters would have a goal to strive for and maybe if that is successful, longer and longer boycotts could be done. Also, could there be a specific hashtag too? I know this is probably oversimplifying things but if the hate tweeters had a specific timeframe the boycott might be more successful. I just get more and more frustrated, especially seeing how the boycott work the first time, even if it was a short time.

I agree - Heather is doing her part to spread the much-needed word that our current way of eating is dangerous and unsafe. Just as we realized by the Dust Bowl -- people made farming decisions that caused disastrous effects. Others have been denying that fossil fuels and manmade pollution are causing climate change. Unfortunately, not until disaster after disaster strikes are people finally realizing -- hey, it's not a joke nor a hoax.

Same with GMO and Monsanto (one of the most evil of corporations ever!). Do yourself, your family and your community a true good deed and 1) shop local; 2) buy organic; 3) fight against GMO and fight for proper food labeling. :)

Kate is all those things - immature, needy and emotionally stunted at age 12. Her fans see themselves in her and so it validates their lives. She gives them hope. Their thinking doesn't go as far as examining the path she chose to get her celebrity status, all that matters to them is that she's someone famous whom they can relate to.

444444444444

when my DD#3 was just a few months old, and I was still nursing, I got sick. Went to the old family doc, whose nurse was his wife (this was back when a nurse ran the doctor's office), it was Easter weekend. I was sitting in the waiting room waiting for a test result or something, and the nurse came out to tell me I had mono. Mono. And I just lost it, right there in the waiting room. 3 little ones at home and now this. And she started telling me that she knew how I felt, she remembered walking around with dirty hair, spit up on her shoulder, wondering if she would ever feel like a person again. I have always remembered her words and her soothing demeanor. That really comforted me and encouraged me. Still does when I get to feeling overwhelmed. She gave me a glimpse into another ME, much like your mom got to glimpse the other HER, the lady that was still there under the babies and the diapers.

I have always thought with Kate that she had a breakdown when the babies were tiny and never came back from it. She wanted tea and sympathy for being so overworked, but she didnt exactly plan on actually BEING overworked. There were no words of encouragment that comforted or encouraged her, because she just plain old had her back up that this baby-work was beneath her, and she blamed Jon and the babies for her inconvenience. I think this happens to women sometimes and this was her main sheeple base in the beginning.

I think she had another breakdown that summer in the new house, running around with no bra on in those baby doll dresses, mysterious coffee cup in her hand, dirty hair, whacking toddlers in the driveway. She likely looks at that time as her rock bottom, and she coped with it all by not feeling anything anymore other than disgust with all other things and people that are not petting up her ego.

------------

Oh, I totally agree. I do feel sorry for them because they seem to be pawns in Kate's game, and they just can't figure out that they are being used in this whole Twitter game. Some of them dig into their pockets and send gifts to a millionaire. This is understandable because they want her to like them, want to be noticed. She, on the other hand, has never once said that while she is appreciative of such gestures, it's not necessary to send her gifts, but anything they want to purchase should be donated to homeless shelters or the charities of their choice. WHY WON'T SHE DO THIS?

She eggs them on, many times doesn't even acknowledge or tweet thanks (as with Paige and the bracelet), but she just keeps accepting the gifts. This is wrong, so very wrong, but these fans believe that somehow sending her gifts will bring them closer to her and create a lasting connection with their idol. You just want to reach out to them and say, "THINK what you are doing!"

But they don't understand that they are being used, and that's what is so sad about the whole thing.

Nobody here has ever bragged about their superiority in life or even compared themselves to the sheeple. It's been pointed out that the fans lack critical thinking ability and some of them are incapable of thinking logically, but nobody on this blog has ever said that they are so much better than the fans, nor have ever set themselves up to be Einsteins.

"A psychologist could have a field day analyzing the need of people here to brag about yourselves and your lives."

-------------

That's really funny, considering that so many people here do anything but that. Some are having problems in their lives, some have lost loved ones, some are wrestling with depression, some going through divorce, some who have struggled as single parents -- anything BUT bragging about themselves and their lives.

"Hey, I'd be willing to be analyzed by a psychologist, but Milo and Paige have to come to the office too."

I kind of agree. Some of the posters here do tend to compare their life experiences with Kate's and leave comments like "take that Kate, that's how you're supposed to ...". This does sound to me more like bragging than actually offering advice. That being said, I still enjoy this blog from time to time. It does have some thoughtful comments. I suppose when you get a group of rather diverse people chatting all at the same time, unavoidably you'll get some self-centered babble. It's not that hard just to skip those. I skipped a lot of OT posts (but I do have to admit lately I started to read some of the good-old-time stories and I like reading them).

Ampersmom -- How is Ampers this afternoon? I hope she's feeling better. Prayers for her and prayers and virtual hugs for you. Our fur babies steal our hearts so quickly. I hope she'll be bouncing off the walls soon.

Squirrel stories -- Love them! My squirrel story -- When I was in college, there was a colony of squirrels on campus. They were grays, but there were a few odd red squirrels in the neighborhood, although they never ventured onto campus, AFAIK. Well -- all but one. There was a funny colored squirrel who lived outside the freshman dorm. He must have been the product of a red/gray mating, because his fur was a sort of rusty gray. We called him Reddy, and he'd come and take treats out of our hands. His favorite perch was the back of a bench just outside one of the dorm doors. If we sat down on the bench to read, or just relax, he'd chatter at us and annoy us unless we gave him a treat. Whenever my mom sent me a care package from home, she'd include a baggie of acorns and walnuts for Reddy. He disappeared during the summer between my freshman and sophomore years, but every time I went past that bench, I looked for him (I say "him" but it could very well have been a "her").

Kate apparently gave an interview to yahoo talking about Christmas and her running.

http://omg.yahoo.com/blogs/holidays/kate-gosselin-eight-kids-want-christmas-205134195.html

A couple of excerpts. Talk about spin:

"Although the brood typically spends Christmas Eve with their father who lives nearby in Reading, Pennsylvania, "They're at the age now where we ask them," Kate tells omg!. "So they basically dictate it and they want to be home Christmas and the days surrounding it."

"As for the younger six, their eyes seem to be bigger than Kate's wallet. "We don't do Santa," she explains, "but they give me the list, and they have really really big requests and I really really work really hard to honor them. The littlest ones want iPods and all this stuff, and I'm just like, 'Oh my gosh.' All that electronic equipment is so expensive. I'm trying to explain to them, 'If that's on your list then please understand there's not going to be, like, a two-hour [Christmas present] opening session.' They're at the age where you have to explain that. You really have to do a disclaimer at the beginning before opening [gifts]."

"And the Gosselin kids are just as excited to play Santa for children who aren't as fortunate. This year, just like years past, they will take part in the Toys for Tots charity, which collects Christmas presents for the underprivileged. "They cannot imagine kids that don't have Christmas," shares Kate.

"Though it's been over a year since the Gosselins have been on TV, they could all be coming back very soon — whether it's as another family series or Kate all on her own. So does that mean it will be a dating show, as reported? "Well, all I can say to that is you're just going to have to wait," teases the usually chatty mom. Regardless if that happens, the kids really want to go back to having the cameras document their adventures. "We definitely have fond memories of those days," Kate says. "The kids decide now, they have voices. If they're not into it, it's not happening, but I happen to know they honestly miss it, and they still talk about it and think it's exciting."

So they supposedly take part in "Toys for Tots", this year and in years past? Why haven't we heard about this before? Is this one of those "Gosselin" traditions, that never happen?

From the Yahoo article:

"So I literally fitted in the amount of time on my own, I'm my own trainer in my head. It takes out a lot of stress. I have a lot of stress in life and it gets all of that out in a healthy way. I always say looking good is a side benefit."

I thought she didn't have a trainer? She said, [My trainer] understood finally that I just can't and then states, I'm my own trainer in my head. Once again, why can't she just admit that she does use a trainer. Plenty of people do and there is nothing wrong with having one. She obviously thinks everyone is too stupid to see through her facade.

Kate is a twit (129/130)

Ugh. I love how she makes a point of always saying "We don't do Santa". I do not believe for one second it is for religious reasons but instead because she wants those kids to know the presents came from HER. Top on her list of things she wants for Christmas: Anything to feed the NPD.

She has never once mentioned "Toys for Tots" before. You know she would have milked that one for every moment of air time/publicity if it really ever happened once.

sigh...

She's come undone said...

My opinion about the twitter wars for what it's worth. For several years Kate had free reign to say anything she wanted with no restraints and NO questions from anyone. She sat on her couch presenting her view and spin of everything with no threat of repercussions because TLC wanted to protect their moneymaker. Non fans were so disgusted by her behavior and her constant lies and a lot of us were screaming at the TV "someone call this ass on her lies and behavior". Of course no one did and then she began going on her media tours and making her even more hated. So then she gets on twitter which allows everyone who ever wanted to confront her and call her on her lies to have access to her. I think that's why no one wants to give up. Because I promise you this, she can block anyone she wants but she is absolutely reading every one of those comments because she knows what they are saying and responds to them in her way. She reads and knows. Period. So the non fans feel this need to keep throwing it right in her face every time she lies again. I can understand from that perspective although I'm not and never have been on twitter and don't care what she thinks about anything.

And so it goes.

She really sucks any joy out of Christmas morning doesn't she? And I can't believe she talks about the electronic stuff being so expensive when she just spent $200 on HERSELF for cosmetics!!

There's that word of hers again "honestly", yeah, right Kate.

Thanks for posting the Say Yes To The Dress episode when Kate was on as I also had never seen it. The three things that stuck out the most to me was her small boobies, pre-surgery, which makes it so obvious she had a boob job, that she was there ALONE and that she rarely smiled at all, even when the salesladies asked her if this was her dress. There was no joy in her voice or face because of course, she knew this was only for her fake vow renewal and how could she possibly be excited when she secretly wanted to divorce Jon.

In the Yahoo article, they have a picture captioned "Kate Gosselin and her brood of eight". It was a picture taken in Australia or New Zealand. All of the kids look so sad in that picture.

-----------

I won't attack you - I'll agree with you! For many, including me, I think it's a selective addiction. The Gosselin stuff, a few other things have caught me. But in my defense LOL 75% of the work I do is online so I'm around lots. I think that might be what's fueling the addiction for me. Never got into Internet games, maybe that's a blessing as I hear those are especially addicting.

Didn't she also do a whole CC blog post about how her kids only use electronics when travelling? That they use their "creativity" when playing, and that electronics stunt that "creativity"?

Yet now she's going to try very very hard to get them electronics even though it's so expensive? She's probably hoping her enablers will see the article, and send them to her.

JW-you're right. She really does suck the joy out of Christmas. Who tells their kids prior to Christmas that if you want this, don't expect anything else? A "disclaimer" before opening gifts? Really, Kate?

OrangeCrusher1 said...

"they can't imagine kids who don't have Christmas". This is probably true if only in that K8 has never participated in the charity of this holiday. And it's another damn lie from her mouth because I am quite sure that their private school does community outreach in this season. Give your kids some credit.

I also do not believe that the children have such a voice in holiday custody that they get to choose not spending time with their father at Xmas. Let's just see how those tweets roll in a few weeks. Add to that her comments that it will be the childrens' choice re: filming again, and you have the real makings of Pinochhio's nose, KG style.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Last year Kate also told one of her tweeple that she never had a publicist. She apparently forgot about what she told People in May '09

“These are people who absolutely love us and want to see us through to the end,” Kate says of Neild and his family. “Of course, both of them travel with us at times, and we’ve spent holidays together, because, in this situation, your circle grows smaller and smaller, and it’s very natural to become friends with your manager, your publicist, your security team … they’re the only people you have left. And now they’re coming under fire.”

She might have spent a holiday or two with Neild's family, but apparently she did something to piss Gina Neild off. There was that email in Robert's book where Kate was trying to put a Katherine-catered dinner party together for Gina's parents. Kate claimed that she would "behave" this time and that she had given up drinking. Gina declined, and has not been photographed at the house since.

Hmm-Kate's "marathon girls" are also running in LV Sunday. I wonder if they're running the half with Kate. Will be interesting to see what all 3 of their times will be. Do you think we'll have a repeat of last year, with all the times being identical?

Formerly Duped said...

That article disgusts me. First she makes the kids out to be greedy materialistic dictators of when/where they spend Xmas and what expensive gifts they get. The "we don't DO Santa" phrase is really annoying. All the rest is Kate's lies. she'll be back on X-rated TV soon? Ok. Don't be coy; be honest.Primary custody? Don't think so.
She is also almost asking for iPods and maybe she'll throw Toys for Tots out there as bait.8 year olds do NOT need iPods. Only a few comments but it was a 'typical' Kate article. "Honestly!" Nothing about real traditions or the meaning of Xmas.

aggiemom09121416 said...

I just don't understand her need to constantly throw Jon under the bus. He is clearly a hands-on father, and has 50/50 custody. Who knows how the Christmas holiday is split with their current arrangement.
This is yet another example of how money can't buy class. What a loser.

It's funny, I mentioned the other day about her not mentioning baking bread, and what do you know, she tweets about bread baking.
I mention that she should have fan gifts donated to charity, and what do you know, she is saying the kids participate in Toys for Tots.

Kate, could you explain why Christmas ipods are expensive, yet your little purchase for yourself wasn't?
And how much money is it going to take for you to jaunt across the country to run in a recreational marathon? I bet it will cost more than a few ipods.
Stevie's 1600 daily salary, 3 days, sure makes those ipod purchases seem a bit paltry, doesn't it???

FYI said...

Another thing the article said:

"Buying and wrapping Christmas presents for eight kids sounds like a job that would require the help of a team of elves, but Kate Gosselin is doing it solo this year. Ever since she split from husband Jon Gosselin in June 2009, she's been doing most of the everyday work herself — since she has primary custody of 12-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 8-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Colin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah — and this holiday season will be no different."

This whole article sounds like it was written by Kate and Julie May. It's sounds like a "set the record straight" article, addressing things that non-fans have brought up recently--custody, her giving to charity, how she does it "all alone", etc. I find it strange that it would be written on a Yahoo blog. Guess People wasn't interested, and Yahoo was the only taker.

"The kids decide now, they have voices. If they're not into it, it's not happening, but I happen to know they honestly miss it, and they still talk about it and think it's exciting."

Did anyone else catch the use of the word "now". That would imply that this is a new development. But she said the whole time during filming that the kids were deciding.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I believe she does have primary custody. Primary custody just means residence. Tons of family law orders say primary with mother (their address) while providing a significant amount of time with father. For school purposes it's easier to pick one address. Careful wording.

What a way to marginalized Jon around the holiday, as if he doesn't even give them presents! What a pig she is.

FYI said...

aggiemom09121416 said... 145

It makes me wonder if the custody arrangement was that Jon had the kids for Thanksgiving, and Kate has them for Christmas. Remember, she didn't tweet too much about Thanksgiving, and she only tweeted a picture of a table setting, but no kids.

Formerly Duped said...

Anyway, she tweeted Car and Mady were dying to wrap the 'littles' gifts! And a family friend takes them shopping. Doesn't sound 'all alone' to me!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I saw that anonymous! She admits that they have a voice now. So they didn't before.

Also it never occurs to Kate that because she obviously so desperately wants to film again, her kids are good kids and may say what they believe she wants to hear. Kids just want to please their moms and dads. Ironically they probably care far more about her happiness and her getting what she wants than she ever did them.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Yes many do an even odd year switch so it's fair. With Christmas and thanksgiving not going to the same person on the same year. I don't recall her tweeting much last Xmas, so it may indeed be her year.

Ya know...... even if you put $200 Kiehl's moisturizer on a pig, it's still a pig.

There she is... lying, lying and lying some more. Jon said it best- "my kids and I know the truth."

Yes they do. All the lies that Kate's black soul could possibly conjure up will never change the truth.

FYI said...

Another line from the article which follows the blurb about whether they'll film again:

"Until then, Kate is keeping busy raising her eight kids out of the spotlight."

I wouldn't call posting pictures of them and their conversations on twitter, taping them singing, and basically letting the twitter world know what's going on with them "keeping them out of the spotlight".

This whole article is one big joke to promote her "Supermom" persona. Too bad it didn't address the fact that she currently has no job.

Millicent said...

... "the kids really want to go back to having the cameras document their adventures."

Hey Kate - here's how you can "document" your childrens' adventures. Buy a little video camera and video birthdays, holidays, and other fun family events. Dumb ass.

Of course, it's all a tissue of lies. The children don't want intrusive film crews and hot lights in their lives. Kate wants the spotlight and if she has to pinch, poke, slap, and kick those kids into line to get it, she will. Thankfully, nature trumps Kate's vile wishes, and those kids have outgrown the cutsieness that got them the tv gig. They are average-looking, run of the mill kids and for that, I hope they are very thankful. Imagine what she'd do if any of them had a performing talent.

FYI said...

Speaking of the tape of the kids singing--Kate you can stop with the "Sound of Music" auditions now. NBC has cast Carrie Underwood in the role of Maria for their special presentation scheduled for next year.

When was her show canceled, one, two years ago?? At the time she was wringing her hands, oh woe is me, we need MONEY....
Present time, she is buying 200 makeup on a lark, and planning a LV marathon.
Doesn't sound like she is hurting for money.
Which is it, Kate?

There was an discussion about stupidity earlier. What I don't like is LYING. Well, I hate child abusers, too. That's two strikes against Kate.

FYI said...

Another fabrication, IMO.

"And when she runs 13 miles on Sunday, her kids will all be cheering for her, even if they won't be standing on the sidelines in Vegas (because of school)."

The kids can go to Australia and NZ and miss school, but they can't go to LV for a weekend? Yeah, right? Kate wants her weekend getaway without the kids and with Steve(if he's still around). Believe me, school had nothing to do with it, but of course she has to show what a caring mom she is.

It also repeats about how she hopes to run the NYC marathon "Still, "I have a lofty goal of running the New York City Marathon and having them at the finish line — that just gave me chills thinking about it," Kate tells omg!."

The only way she could run the NYC Marathon is if she ran for a charity and raised funds for that charity, and we know how great she is at doing that, don't we? Next year's NYC marathon is even going to be harder to get a spot in due to the cancellation of it this year.

PatK said...

I'm sure Kate left for Vegas today. Now let's see how long before she returns home.

As for the kids having been involved in Toys for Tots, is it possible this was through their school? I suppose Kate may have actually broken down and done something on their own as a family...but I have my doubts.

Hope Jon gets to spend SOME kind of time with his kids around Christmas. Quit brainwashing them, Kate.

Forgot to add this in my last post about the half marathon-

"They are lined up to get the text notifications [with the runners' times], and that's really exciting for them."

The LV half starts at 4:30pm PST which is 7:30pm EST. Are they going to be allowed to stay up until 9:30pm on a school night, or are only C & M going to be following her?

This whole article is so full of contradictions and is also full of something else.

Speaking of the tape of the kids singing--Kate you can stop with the "Sound of Music" auditions now. NBC has cast Carrie Underwood in the role of Maria for their special presentation scheduled for next year.

************************************************

Oh my goodness. Can you imagine what a bizarro, depressive, dark version of the Sound of Music it would be with Katie as Maria?

Where's Maria? She left the kids with a babysitter, so that she can go to Switzerland to get her nails & hair done...

" A psychologist could have a field day analyzing the need of people here to brag about yourselves and your lives."

====================================
Oh, I so agree. Do I and my 1980's era heirloom ultra suede brown Lazy-Boy recliner get a whole field day? How about if I add in the 2 1954 Westinghouse (I goofed before and said GE) roasters - one with a stand? The 1984 Starcraft SD 21 pop-up camper? And the 1994 (we like 4's here) Toyota pickup lovingly called ""Plastimobile"? Yeah? Yeah? Can I get a chapter in a book? A whole book? A course in the study of psychology? Maybe a field week?

The children DO NOT get to decide custody. She's a liar to the core. She wants Jon to respond so she can get more TV time. Period.

She is infuriating. As one of the Truthers said on Twitter, "She can make a priest kick in a stained glass window".

Another fabrication, IMO.

"And when she runs 13 miles on Sunday, her kids will all be cheering for her, even if they won't be standing on the sidelines in Vegas (because of school)."

It also repeats about how she hopes to run the NYC marathon "Still, "I have a lofty goal of running the New York City Marathon and having them at the finish line — that just gave me chills thinking about it," Kate tells omg!."

The kids can go to Australia and NZ and miss school, but they can't go to LV for a weekend? Yeah, right? Kate wants her weekend getaway without the kids and with Steve(if he's still around). Believe me, school had nothing to do with it, but of course she has to show what a caring mom she is.

************************************************

Well, yeah of course. And also when they went to Australia, TLC paid for the trip. Who's paying for this trip?

Having her children waiting at the finish line gives her chills? I'll betcha her kids don't give a sh*t. I'll betcha they would rather be playing in the park instead.

So, in her head, Kate is her own trainer? And in her head she is her own cook, laundry person, good mother, star, best selling author of THREE books, photographer, excellent speller, grammar expert ("I literally fitted it in", There're), Twitterer extraordinaire (@kiehlsnyc - hey! who clued her in?)..it's ALL in her head.

Which is no surprise. We have pretty much known it all along. Honestly.

If the kids want to go back to having their lives filmed it's because they miss the free trips, gifts, etc. I'm sure that Kate has made it perfectly clear to those poor kids that if filming resumes all of the perks resume! What a piece of work she is!

As for the younger six, their eyes seem to be bigger than Kate's wallet.

************************************************

Ugh.

Then why the hell does Kate allow them to write
Christmas lists?

Jeezie Creezie.

The Vegas marathon is early Sunday. They could watch and be on a flight home that afternoon. They wouldn't have to miss school. Come off it, the kids aren't going because no one will pay their way.

Oh my bad this is a night marathon? So they would have to miss school in that case. Better they stay home. She still wouldn't bring them unless someone else paid.

Ooooooh......that thing of a 'mother' just makes my blood boil!!! Just finished reading the OMG article and I'm sure most of you guys have also read it by now and I hope I'm not being a repeater ( haven't read posts yest ) .......

Seriously, can Kreider possibly get any worse?? In one....one lousy article she manages to totally throw Jon under a Mack truck, grift for iPods for her spoiled 8 year olds, pretend that she'd actually have to budget to buy them, beg for a show using the kids as bait, lie about why the kids won't be in Vegas ( missing school? when the hell did that ever matter when she was getting paid?! ), lie about why she is only running the half and lie about her dream ( snort! ) of the kids all waiting for her at the end of the NT marathon!!

It's NEVER going to end, is it??

Exactly. That's ALL it is.

Though it's been over a year since the Gosselins have been on TV, they could all be coming back very soon — whether it's as another family series or Kate all on her own. So does that mean it will be a dating show, as reported? "Well, all I can say to that is you're just going to have to wait," teases the usually chatty mom. Regardless if that happens, the kids really want to go back to having the cameras document their adventures.

************************************************

Uh, oh. I don't think she realises that it's over.

Kate really believes that she, and her "brand" actually have a snowball in hell chance to do another reality show?

She's not being realistic- and mentally, it's UNHEALTHY to presume so.

Come on, Kate. Move on with your life, and allow your children to respectfully move on with theirs.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

She makes the kids sound so greedy and self absorbed. Even if they truly are, which I doubt, have some sense not to portray them that way.

By the way, older versions of iPods can be bought for pennies on amazon. They work just fine.

Have you noticed we have absolutely no idea what the kids are into with the rare exception of a brief mention of Cara doing sports and Mady movie making? I have no idea what sports, music, activities the kids are into. Kate never expresses any interest or excitement about them and their things, yet the kids are allegedly constantly thrilled and excited about hers.

As far as the kids asking to be home with her, it would be lunacy to let kids this young decide. I've never seen it at this age. A judge decides, and everyone has to follow it. And even assuming that's what they said it never occurs to her they tell her what they want to hear. And finally why in the world would she disclose such private information when all it does is make the father they love look bad? Despicable.

All Kate needs to do, regarding xmas, since she has a large family and limited (cough) funds, is for the kids to submit their lists and that each child shall receive 1 big gift (expensive)and x number amount of little gifts. The kids can make the list as long as they want, but will know that they will only get some of what's on there from the get go. They can do this every year, that way it is a 'tradition'. Neat, I know.
Consistency is better for children anyway- instead a good xmas one year and a lean one another. Plus, taking the emphasis off the gifts is better for the children anyway, takes away from the reason for the season- caring for fellow mankind and peace on earth.

Kate has been writing in her journal for two years now that she has been praying that God give her another show. She just can't believe it hasn't happened yet. Why can't God help her? So she takes to Yahoo, the only outlet that will take her, to try to get the message out to God and everyone else that will listen, that her kids really, truly want to film again. It is their lifelong dream. They will never be happy again if they can't film their lives. God are you listening?

They can sign up through competitor.com to receive text notifications of a runner's progress. The cost is $2 per runner. Most likely, Kate signed up on one the twins Iphones. This is how Milo reported Kate's SD run, by signing up for the same service. I think Kate also mentioned at the time that Mady also followed the text messages for her run in SD.

Anonymous said...

Kate is a twit,
Yeah I know that, but that means the kids have phones, but like you said, I guess it's the twins phones...but if they are receiving texts, then they CAN receive texts- so who is monitoring them? You know Kate and her control issues.

To those of you who are parents or maybe older, doesn't anyone find it incredibly unhealthy for Kate to still inist that her kids want their lives filmed?

I mean if that's truly the case that her kids talk about it to this day it says to me that she herself as a parent hasn't been able to broaden her own kids activities and interests.

I remember being their age and I never spent or talked about spend half as much time with my mother as I hear Kate babble about how much time her kids want to be with her. That's just...I'm sorry but it's just not normal I don't think.

It says she, as a parent doesn't care that her kids have other interests what she cares about is premoting their self absorbtion into wanting to be on televisison.

Are these the same kids who have said, "don't film me," and hung up signs with no cameras? Kids having been one your hole goal is to please your parents to a certain degree when you're young. But as you get older I think most kids want to be about pleasing their friends. Kids want to be normal, like everyone else and you can't do that if you want a camera, so Kate says, in your face.

I find it incredibly wrong for her to still promote this want in their lives all of them to this day.

Her lack of worth ethic is without a doubt her kids see it. Mom isn't going to work, she's at home. I am sure most of these kids' at their school, they have regular jobs. I don't care about the size of your family if you promote the fact that you enver quit your kid deserve the best then you should be out their working for it and proving it. Not whinning about it and Tweeting about it. Doing and saying are totally different.

There's two articles about Kate right now and only three, count them, three comments. None of them are good. I think Kate may be done.

FYI said...

I think most of what Kate says that the kids supposedly say and want about filming is just like her being her own "trainer"==it's all in her head. She's said it so many times, that she still believes it and wants to believe it. I really doubt the kids even mention it.

I also don't believe that they let the kids decide about Christmas. I think it's just the way the custody arrangement worked out. But Kate has to spin it by saying "See, the kids want to be with ME on Christmas". Just like she says the twins enjoy spending time with HER. "My kids love ME, ME, ME!!"

IF they did let the kids decide, what would have been her story if the kids chose Jon? That it was court ordered and she had no control?

And again, WTH is she discussing it at all? The article says she's raising the kids out of the "spotlight", but now everyone knows the kids are spending Christmas with her.

I still say she and Julie May wrote and submitted the gist of that article to Yahoo, and the author just refined it.
