After Kate explained why she couldn't go back to nursing, this conversation ensued. By Andy's facial expressions you could tell his comment was totally filled with innuendo-even Morgan got it-but it totally went over Kate's head.

Kate: I would have no trouble with part of it-it just really doesn't work.
She had absolutely no clue about the joke Andy was making, and that he was making fun of her.
She was Andy's foil, and she had no idea, and fell for it hook, line and sinker.
By the say, about the college funds, she said:
"My kids have a very nice college funds-that was the goal of our show."
"I saw that! She doesn't understand the game! He had to explain it to her a second time. I thought, OMG, what an airhead, and I would have thought that no matter who it was, but the fact that it was Kate made it even funnier."
I think she understood the game alright..she also understood that while she was deciding yes or no, the camera was on her alone, so she dragged out her answer as long as possible each time.

Kate has thicker lower legs to begin with. The calves get a great workout with distance running. In particular, the Soleus muscle is a slow-twitch muscle and is utilized a great deal in running, which is an aerobic activity. So yes, you will see a fullness in the lower calf region in runners. As for Kate's quads, they are atrophied from lack of calories and protein. Same for her glutes, which is to say, her ass is quite flat. Why the difference? I believe it's because you must propel yourself with each stride, but farther up the leg, you can get by with less effort. Those other muscles, as you see clearly with Kate's body, begin to waste away. She does not cross-train, she does not try to build the muscles that she undernourishes and beats to death with running incessantly.

I know Andy was just repeating the info he was given about what Kate's doing now, but I'm insulted by his comment at the end of Part 2 of the After Show about Kate 'running in races all over the place for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer'. BS! She's NOT running in support of breast cancer prevention and treatment - she's doing it for herself - self promotion and attention! My sisters and I have volunteered with BrCa organizations for years and have given a lot personally and financially and she disgusts me (much more than usual!).
As a BrCa survivor with 3 generations of my family (7 members) affected, I'm insulted that her name is used in connection with this disease. She does NOTHING in support of or to bring awareness about it - no tweets, no mentions, NOTHING - just her stupid, vapid grin when someone else does the promoting for her. She does NOTHING for anyone but herself! I guess I shouldn't be upset because this is so typical for her, but Andy's comment hit me wrong this morning.

Well my goodness, what a mess she is, fom the wig like hair to the short, tight dress ( there are standing dresses and sitting dresses, Katie). Given that Andy Cohen was determined to ignore her as much as possible, I think his bodyguard jabs were pretty damn good, especially with Mr. Bodyguard as front and center as he could be. As for her college fund statements, we all know KG is a huge word twister, so big news, yes, there are accounts, but I truly doubt that they are fully funded.

Just saw the the clips of Kate and I have to say she has put a lot of money into herself. Yes! Kate has no TV savvy. Did she think people wanted to watch her silently flipping through the pages of a book? And she could't find the words, Morgan had to point out where they were on the page finally. And then after Morgan finished her kidnapping tale, Kate leansed over and read something out of the book to Morgan as though they were still on that topic.
I did watch a short clip, and I don't think Ms Kreider looked bad. I do agree she had transformed herself to be more like the caricature - Admin is psychic and could predict the future! The inability to understand the game instructions, the repeated touching, the fact that so much was visibly going over her head, just made her seem so unintelligent. I also wonder if there was something onboard that impaired her function. Nah, she really is that unintelligent and uninformed. I agree with many of the posts about Kate's performance. Interesting to contrast her with a genuine star who built a career on a combination of looks and talent. Andy showed a montage of MF in sexy poses, including bathing suit shots. Morgan was just very natural, just going with the flow of the show, while Kate was clearly unable to keep up with the rapid-fire change of direction. Her social awkwardness and disconnect from popular culture was obvious and I think that Andy went easy on her so as not to look like a bully. I've never seen his show, but I don't think any host of this type of show sets out to destroy someone. He tried to make a lascivious remark about Kate working as a nurse for private parties--MF aded a comment about costumes--and it just went over her head. She just repeated that the numbers don't add up. She also said, again, that she is a single mom providing for eight children.
In summary, she is done. If she thought that by showing up in a micro-mini black dress that she was auditioning for Housewives of Pennsylvania, it was an epic fail. If she was there to promote the Susan komen charity, it was an epic fail. If she was there to display her gift of gab, it was an epic fail. If she was there to portray a pathetic aging woman that is trying to pass as a teenager and maintain a desperate grip on her fading fame, she wildly succeeded.
She can't have a conversation of any substance. She is hopelessly clueless about popular culture. She is socially awkward. All she has to offer is the opportunity to watch her in action as she goes through her day masterminding and either abusing or ignoring her children and their family pet.
She is done. In the age of twitter and reality shows that consist of has-been reality stars, she may never fully disappear. But, she is done. No legitimate network will touch her. She has had more opportunities to redeem herself and make a comeback than anyone--especially her--deserves. How empty and sad that someone who has been blessed with 8 healthy, vibrant children, as well as economic opportunities and rewards does not appreciate her gifts.

I have ongoing stomach issues, some days worse than others. Sometimes I have nights where I really can't eat much at all. I don't tell people they can't post about what they're making for dinner because I'm missing out on a nice meal because I don't feel well. That gets silly.

Very nice college funds sounds fully adequate to me. It's nice to hear the kids will at least get some money for all their suffering. Allegedly. Many kids will never come close to a "nice" college fund, she is already way ahead of the game, she accomplished the goal of setting their kids up nicely, now GO AWAY.

Exactly, why is she different than any other parent? There are a million different things she could do while the kids are in school or with Jon where she would never once have to pay a babysitter. They are in school all...day.....long. And since she has a nanny ANYWAY, what is the DIFFERENCE??? She says she wouldn't break even with childcare and yet she is paying childcare now, so how does that make any sense whatsoever? Will anyone please call her out on this fallacy?
She could even still write her stupid blog posts and go for her runs, which as far as i can tell is the only "job" she has right now. The blog posts shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes, wake up at 7 am on a Saturday morning and knock them out. And the runs are usually on weekends. End of story.
Admin, if you're talking about the comments regarding fully funded college funds, I don't like to see misinformation because before you know it the "gospel truth" is Kate has totally funded her kids for college. She said it on Andy's show. She's a great mom. Kate sobbed on an interview after TLC shut her down that she didn't have enough money for their college educations.

Re: the nursing job comments. She would be far smarter to drop the can't afford to be a nurse anymore nonsense and replace it with a line about pursuing opportunities idwn other career paths. This woman is never going to be a nurse again; it was her post high school choice, and she probably even then was looking for a guy with a salary that would let her stay home. Hatching the HOM thing was a bigger career than nursing. And yes, she already pays a nanny, a homework helper and who knows who else when her kids are away all day 5X/week and with their dad 50% of the rest of the time. IF she had ANY interest in nursing, she could have shifts days, nights or weekends when her chidren are not home, no babysitter required. Someone tweeted that Kate Gosselin looks like the Crypt Keeper.
Kate does everything to an extreme. She will not stop until she resembles an old corpse.
What has she have done in this last year, employement wise that has made more $$ than if she'd spent the year nursing? Coupon cabin? A couple of local radio shows? An RN makes good money. With whatever $$ she has stashed, combined with her nursing salary...she could do fine. She's obviously living off of her stashed $$ and if she had a normal job, she'd just be additng to her bank account. Nurses shifts start at 7:00 am, so she could drop her kids off & head into work, she'd only need help from what roughly 3:00 pm - 7:30pm ~ 4 1/2 hrs a day/3 x wk = 13.5 hrs. Doesn't she already pay for a helper 15 hrs a wk? Her logic makes no sense at all. If she's living comfortably, just say so & all the speculation will stop.
I taped the show and just rewatched part of it. After Andy asked what she thought of Honey Boo Boo, and Kate admitted she didn't watch that show, this was the exact conversation:

She always brings up the college funds-perhaps, to deflect from the criticism about how she exploited her children and to emphasize how she does it all for her kids.

I know this is restating the obvious, but there is really something psychotically tone deaf about Kate. I remember in one old episode, she's changing over the wardrobe from summer to fall (or vice versa), and she says "this is every mother's worst nightmare." HUH? I would think every mother's worst nightmare would involve harm coming to their child, NOT having to switch over clothing. And then on WWHL, after Morgan tells her kidnapping story, Kate points out the "I hate surprises" quote from the "Sh*t Girls Say" book as if it was relevant to the situation. You call getting KIDNAPPED a SURPRISE? Seriously? What the fuck is wrong with her? (Morgan, at least, is very quick witted and came back with, "the real surprise was that they let me go.")

My grandmother (may she rest in peace) suffered her entire life from digestive issues- was diagnosed with diverticulitis, and I would not doubt that she probably had untreated Celiacs disease as well.
She would not go out to places that did not have a restroom, and always carried a bottle of Pepto in her pocketbook, just in case.
My poor Grandmother LOVED food, but unfortunately it did not love her.
I didn't get to see the show but what's with handing Kate a book to read? Sounds like giving a kid something to occupy themselves with so the adults can carry on a conversation.

OK. But, it's a lie of omission. She knew damn well that Andy was poking around to see if she had plastic work done and she slithered right out of his grip.
All I can say about the show is...what in the heck was that supposed to be? What was with the touchy-feely with Morgan? To show her fans that she was buddy buddies with a major star? Morgan wanted nothing to do with her. Did you notice some of the glances that she threw Kate's way...no expression on her face except for "what are you doing here?"
The After Show -- Kate was not interested in Morgan's kidnapping story, but rather chose to look through a book in hopes of finding, what? Some zinger to throw out there? Totally disrespectful to Morgan, who was, of course, getting all of the attention, as she should have.
She could never, in a million years, host a talk show or be on the panel of a television show. She has nothing to give, and nothing to contribute. I think that during television shows where questions are asked, Kate is totally on the defensive with her script of practiced responses. It's almost like she's paranoid, anticipates the questions that are asked, and has the answers rehearsed. She can't be spontaneous, which I guess is good in a way because who knows what she'd come up with?
Auntie Ann -- Unfortunately, no one handed the book to Kate. That might have been appropriate.
She demanded it and reached to snatch it out of the host's hands. He was reading and she took over. She then continued to leaf through the book while Morgan Fairchild talked. I think Kate was so nervous that she needed something to distract herself.

Also, it is not boring to hear about challenges and achievements that individual posters have. I got valuable support and practical advice here when my dh tore his Achilles tendon in July. (he is doing great by the way, physical therapy is going well, he is able to drive again which is great!) If some posts dont interest you, scroll on past! If you are getting grouchy, step away from the computer and go outside, take a walk, smell the flowers! (I have been criticized for giving this advice in the past, go ahead and blast me! You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to completely ignore it! Yea us!) About nursing, Kate's response just proves her stupidity. Does she really believe it makes her come across better to spew the bullshit that she can't "afford" to go back to nursing? Really? Who can't "afford" a good job? It makes no sense at all.
If she just came out and admitted, "I have no interest in nursing I only want to be a teevee star again!!!!!!!!!!!" Fine, very good.
It might be pathetic, but at least it would be the truth and I just don't see where she's getting anywhere by lying all the time.

Let's say that Kate might need a sitter on the two weekends that she has the kids so she can run errands and such. That's understandable. Could she get everything done during the week when the kids are at school? Certainly, but let's give her some time to herself on weekends...perhaps four hours a day, which is 16 hours a month. Let's say that the sitter needs to be there when the kids get home from school for two hours (ten days if Jon has 50/50 custody, that's a total of 20 hours a month)
She has them two weekends, which would be a total of 16 hours a month for a sitter, plus 20 hours after-school a month. How much do sitters make? Let's say twelve dollars an hour. These aren't babies in diapers or toddlers. Twelve dollars times 36 hours a month equals $360 a month a month for a sitter. Let's give the sitter more money. Let's give her at least $500 a month.
I would assume that nurses make more than $360 or $500 a month, so what in the world is Kate talking about, that she'd be turning over her paycheck to a sitter?

Just looked at the pics from the show. Morgan Fairchild may be a very nice person and she may look good for her age, but it's certainly not very natural. Women who've had so much botox injected into them look like they've just hopped out of the dentist's chair and their face is still frozen. Priscilla Presley has that same look - chubby cheeks and the inability to smile naturally. It's their own choice of course, but aging gracefully without all the cosmetic alterations would be my pick. The thought of having botulinum toxin unnecessarily injected into my body scares the hell out of me.

Kate looks anorexic to me. In one of her emails to Gina she mentioned that she had not eaten that day. Kate really thinks that's the way to diet, skipping meals. Her collar bone protrudes and her fake boobs are even losing their fullness. If she's not careful, she will have real issues. I also believe that the girls will also have eating disorders, if not already.

Sorry for blathering so much today! I'm hanging with my puppies while my kitchen is being worked on. It's fun to indulge in this wonderful blog you you folks! OK, when Kate answers if she and Jon would have split without the show, she was all "oh yeah!", like no question. What a dolt. With 8 kids, the answer is "perhaps we would have, I can't say for sure, but I want to say that we did love one another a great deal and our children are evidence of that". Simple, classy, protects the kids. Oh sorry, everything not Kate. #teamkids

Yesterday morning, the vet hospital doc gave him Methocarbamol which is a muscle relaxant and it is helping tremendously. His eyes are bright, he's engaged, moving better. Yesterday morning was frightening. I thought we were going to lose him, but he's chosen to fight on, God bless him! Thank you for your kindness!

Completely impossible! Literally, we will be completely HOUSEBOUND! How does one person effectively evacuate eight children from 4 different rooms in the case of a fire? Exactly my point! By the time May 30 rolls around, a new person, will just be scratching the surface of learning our daily routine and handling the many time management challenges! That is all too exhausting and unworth it for me and my family! The past 9 months have run very safely and smoothly because of our constant caregiver, Angie. Thanks to our approval through Medicaid. Thank you! We can’t thank you enough for the amount of sanity in our crazy and unusual world, but we still need that same help now. I am a very capable person and mother. I pride myself in organization, cleanliness and all American fun! However, at this stage in our lives, this task is bigger than even me! I hate asking for help but for the safety of each of my precious children, I must ask, because I love them. I need the constant care of our nurse Angie to continue! I was just looking at the pics of Kate and Morgan F. on Getty Images, and thinking how much better looking and also more beloved, is Betty White, who has done little or nothing to change her appearance, and has worked pretty continuously in Television and movies.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with aging gracefully and naturally. Make up, plastic surgery, injectables, etc. are not for me. I like the silver hairs and I don't mind the body shifting, either. It's natural.

I, too, saw that Oprah show when Kate made that remark about money. Jon appeared to be mortified by the remark. I believe that Jon was reared totally differently than Kate. I'm guessing here that Jon was taught more social graces than Kate ever was. He was probably exposed to people who had real money and they did not talk about it all the time or at all. Kate is obsessed with money, the talk of it, the rewards of it, and of course seeing it as her way to elevate her own self-worth. Pitiful, really. That is not a healthy way to rear their own 8 children. My grandmother used to tell us that people who have money have no need to talk about it. She was right.

She grabbed the book to bring the attention back to her. She has no interest in anybody else. I don't know why she thought HER reading instead of Andy was going to more entertaining...she just wanted the camera on her...simple as that..
You look at these stars who gain weight like crazy once they stop eating like rabbits. Christina Aguilara was a rail with boobs and now she's fuller figured and looks great. It just was not her body to be so skinny. Gaga packed on 30 pounds almost overnight indulging in Italian food. When you deny yourself as Kate does it doesn't last. Kate is extreme dieting and taking in way too few calories and makes a HUGE DEAL over eating a cookie. A. Cookie. I don't eat steak (why? It's packed with nutrients), I don't eat egg yolks (again, why? it's packed with nutrients. I don't eat pizza. Really? Never? Why? I highly doubt it's because she truly doesn't like it. She is such a poor role model for her girls and pushes her body issues on them. They also get too little food. At their age, they should be serving themselves the portions they want, not getting their precut food doled out on a plate. Kate should also be eating with them, not standing at the island eating salad.

Kate, on being thin. When she did her DWTS thing, she wasn't fat, but she wasn't thin either. Her legs were chunky and she looked bloated. There were remarks made about her weight, on blogs, rag sheets, etc. I remember thinking at the time about Karen Carpenter, and someone remarked that when a critic called her out as being Richard's chubby sister, she was determined to lose weight and really show them. I wondered if the remarks made about Kate's weight at DWTS would prompt Kate to diet and get rail-thin. She looks anorexic, her face is dreadfully thin, and those boobs are going south very fast. There's nothing there to hold them up.
Just watched the after show clips. 3 subjects: 1. Morgan discusses her kidnapping in NY, which was 2 men picking her up by her arms and putting her in a cab and she talked her way out of it. 2. Who was the worse Diva you ever worked with? Morgan will take the high road, BUT kate will tell us from DWTS. Morgan does take the high road and Kate said ditto or something similar. 3. Caller called in and wanted to hear Morgan working with Pee Wee Herman and that took the rest of the time.
No other calls for Kate. But the 2 Bartenders (1 Tranny and a guy) wrote a book "things Shit Girls say" and Andy was saying them as he went page by page "you look good" "I hate all of my clothes" stuff like that, anal. And Kate says "give me the book, let me say something" and Kate does and what does she say "I ate too much" and admits she would say something like that (something a shit girl would say, that is an empty headed person) and then says something else that is empty headed but is something she would have said, then she does that quirky laugh.

I believe Morgan and Andy have a relationship and Morgan is a very smart woman, very charitable and she was thanked on the After Show about all she does for Aids. Andy also said "someone I have admired since I was a kid" and then Kate Gosselin.
There were so many smirks made at Kate's expense and in addition to the bodyguard questions. There was also something interesting about Andy showing the dogs clip, dogs of all sizes being bathed by the Housewives from Miami, which Kate was caught watching while Andy and Morgan were watching the VP debate, Kate tried to lie, Andy said, I saw you watching Miami Housewives as she said I was on the way here. It is over. I would be surprised if Andy ever saw anything in her for a show. She looks so very thin and that is not from running. My neighbors are runners and they have solid thighs, solid calves and they do upper body exercises.
Angie, Thanks for giving us a synopsis of the show! I wouldn't consider this a 'spoiler show scenario', it's not like DWTS, or telling who won a show or who got kicked off. It is appreciated that those that watched risked burning their retinas (lol) and having nighmares (since it was on so late). I looked at the RnR website, and I don't think they have mobile tracking, like they did for the SD half marathon. It's not listed under the events for mobile tracking, probably because it's a short race. They'll probably have results on their website, with her time at the 5k mark and then the finish.

I finally got around to watching the WWHL show on DVR.
- Morgan looked fabulous and youthful, as always.
- Kate told Host, Andy Cohen she "Is one of the rare people that DE-AGES." (Haa... She hasn't read the Blogs lately, if that's what she thinks about her current look!)
- Andy closed the show by giving Kate a set of 4 Mazel drinking glasses, and told her to booze it up with her Bodyguard.
- They never played the "Plead The Fifth" game. Hmm... I've never seen that happen. Maybe Kate asked Stevie to ensure that segment would not be part of the show.

Now that the Andy Cohen show is over, the Huffington post is posting some bits and pieces I do believe that Kate is finished. Nothing offered to her will amount to anything. She was not considered for Celebrity Apprentice although I personally would like to see someone kick her ass with the proof of Kate having real organization skills. I think of the RV trip and although she was a bitch, she was kind of cute. Now she has gone too far as Andy Cohen would say "I would put a yellow light on that" which means no more restructuring, as he called it. He did hit the high points and never did ask about the children except for how are they. Kate has a practiced answer as she twists her hands in front of her face wonderful, having their best year all around. Bull. No one has 8 kids with all having a wonderful 100% year. I don't believe it. She hides the problems.
When she took the book from Andy, with the "can I say some" comment, she added something like "in that same voice like you're doing",. He was being dramatic and "girly" with his voice, and she wanted to do that, too, although when she tried she really didn't or couldn't pull it off. Some dead air as she kept trying, and meanwhile they did a brief close-up on Andy and he had kind of a panicked look, with a quick eye dart offstage, and you could tell he was trying to quickly decide how to cut her off like a professional would. VERY awkward.
Do you think she watches herself on the rare shows she's trying to do, even if she has to know that she was awful?

The man's day starts with getting the twins up, fed, dressed and off to school; fixing KK her coffee and delivering it to her in bed; an hour drive to work; an 8 hour work day; an hour drive home; immediately taking over the care of the kids -- feed, bathe, get into pj's, and put to bed. When in the heck did she think he had the TIME to do the other crap she wanted him to do? Did he ever get a chance to just sit down and breathe? Oh, I forgot, he breathed too loudly! On w/e's he took care of the kids and did odd jobs around the house. Most women would kill for a husband who did as much around the house as he did. There is just no pleasing her, ever.

Kate needs a "bodyguard" to protect herself from herself and to keep her inline. She's too stupid to navigate getting into a limo, and getting out of the limo and walking into a building, yup, lots of stalkers there. She wasn't so worried about being safe for her kids, but she was able to travel thousands of miles away, 24 hrs away to Australia with the married body guard. I could never fathom being that far away from my kids, if an emergency came up. It could take two days to get home and a child would be dead by then. Her only concern if for herself and Steve.

Every interview, where they asked her, she always says the same thing: I will/can't etc, work a 12 hour shift, every week or 3 times a week etc. Kate can work (if she gets hired)not just in hospitals, nursing homes, dialysis clinics, Walgreen/CVS clinics, Doctor office, Medical clinics, or even private nurse(not just to purse boy, lololol), my mother had a nurse that came to the house to check on her, after she got out of the hospital, I'm sure I miss a few. Kate has a one track mind, it's the hospital or nothing. Kate can make pretty good money working at the places above, and some not even working 12 hour shifts, more like 8, and some no weekends. It's no wonder Kate has no friends. She has something wrong with her and it's more and more obvious. It's like there is something so dark & ugly inside of her...something so evil and vile and it's beginning to show through for the world to see.
I believe Robert's book has taken a toll on Kate, as she looks ill. It didn't come across as TV, but is clear in the Getty pictures. Her skin is troubled looking too.

Aggiesmom: Oh, I do agree with you, that, the way she is now, no one would hire her. One basic fact being that, Kate has not done any actual, practical nursing in what 7 years. Most, places want someone who is current, been steady working, not someone who takes a test, every year and thinks that's OK, to be consider for a job, having done no actual nursing, for 7 years. Taking care of 8 kids, does not count as nursing skills. In Kates mind it does, and we saw how she took care of her kids, husband and pets/animals, when they were sick & injured. Real good nursing skills there.
Kates letter to PA about a nurse, does not make any sense. She is a nurse, so why need a nurse that only, come what a couple time a week. A hired babysitter could do that. All the things Kate complained about, was nothing more than any other mom goes through. If you have multis you get either family to help or you hire a babysitter or nanny, or child caregiver. Kate arguement did not make sense. That is why she was denied. She is a trip!

That really bothered me. The constant touching and patting Morgan's arm - it was like Kate either wanted reassurance or wanted to be noticed, or both. She must have felt like an outsider and laced the mental acuity to figure out how to be part of the in-crowd. And Morgan never touched Kate back, hardly acknowledged her. As someone said, she didn't need a nurse, she needed a mother's helper. The only reason she wanted a nurse, was because Medicaid was paying for it, and she felt she was entitled to it.
I may have mentioned this on another thread, but I have a young friend who is a nurse. She's divorced, with 3 children. She and her ex have shared custody. She works 6 twelve hour shifts straight, Fri - Wed. Thurs. is for catching up on sleep, house work, and grocery shopping. She picks the kids up from school on Friday and has them for the next week. On Fri. morning, her Mom comes and gets the kids off to school while she goes to work. Dad picks them up from school on Friday afternoon, and has them for the next week. He has someone who comes 2 days a week to be there for the kids when they get off school, do a little housekeeping, and start dinner for them. The other 2 days are split between their grandmothers. It's a bit unorthodox, but it works very well for them.
Anger issues 168 -- There are also jobs with insurance companies, reviewing medical records or doing medical coding. She could review medical records for Workers Comp or disability claims. She could work for an attorney reviewing medical records for personal injury or disability cases. She could even do medical billing. And some of those jobs could be done from home. Also a plus -- no direct patient care.

She manipulated fertility treatments she did not medically need to have a HOM pregnancy. Then was on public assistance and got a paid nurse for a year, then threw a tantrum when PA said your year is up- no more.

What I haven't seen talked about is how much of Kate's prime working years she is missing. Ideally, you should be spending your 20s and early 30s when the kids are young or not born yet building seniority and doing time so that in theory, you are at the top of the food chain with holidays off and a more flexible schedule by the time you are Kate's age. But she's been out of work so long I suppose it's entirely possible she will end up stuck with the graveyard shift or working weekends. My aunt is an ER RN and yeah, this is what it was like at FIRST. Had Kate been working steadily all this time she could have built a lot more seniority by now. Idiot.

Regarding nursing, I agree it doesn't have to be 12 hours shifts and include weekends. Some places might, but not all of them. My daughter is a nurse in a clinic, and she works 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. She has recently started checking out other places to see what's out there. She has found a number of places with weekdays only or 4 weekdays and one Saturday a month, etc. You get the idea.
With the kids in school fulltime, even if Jon didn't have 50% custody, she could work full time and spend very little for a sitter. Of course, there is the issue that who would want her? I would never want to be in a doctor's office or hospital and find out that Kate Gosselin is my nurse.
From looking at the picture above, it is very clear that she is trying to dress and look like some 20-something bimbo. That is not appropriate attire for a mom of 8 who is pushing 40. She is doing herself no favors with what she has done to herself as well as her poor clothing choices.

Do nurses have to show clinical practice hours to maintain licensure? I know in my profession you have to. It's in addition to a ton of con. ed. hours. The thing is, Kate was looking to get out of nursing waaaay back as evidenced in her journal. I think nursing was a decent white collar profession that could support her until she got married. A doctor preferably. It's redundant for anyone, anymore at any time to ask her about nursing. She's not going back. Period. The excuse that it would not provide for her family is just that-- a poor excuse which insults everyone's intelligence because she thinks people are dumb enough to believe her reasoning that she' be away more, not enough money, losing money 12 hour shifts. It's bullshit and we all know it. It's a dead horse that I can't believe any interviewer would ask about, unless Kate makes sure it's in her talking points. The story has been spun over and over again. Pointless.
Regarding Kate's letter to the state that basically the tups were "disabled" because they couldn't take care of themselves - what was she smoking when she wrote those stupid lines?!? By her way of thinking, then all babies are "disabled" because they can't take care of themselves. That's what parents are for (and the free volunteers she had), what an idiot.

Yes, in short.
Kate has thicker lower legs to begin with. The calves get a great workout with distance running. In particular, the Soleus muscle is a slow-twitch muscle and is utilized a great deal in running, which is an aerobic activity. So yes, you will see a fullness in the lower calf region in runners.
As for Kate's quads, they are atrophied from lack of calories and protein. Same for her glutes, which is to say, her ass is quite flat.
Why the difference? I believe it's because you must propel yourself with each stride, but farther up the leg, you can get by with less effort. Those other muscles, as you see clearly with Kate's body, begin to waste away.
She does not cross-train, she does not try to build the muscles that she undernourishes and beats to death with running incessantly.

I know Andy was just repeating the info he was given about what Kate's doing now, but I'm insulted by his comment at the end of Part 2 of the After Show about Kate 'running in races all over the place for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer'. BS! She's NOT running in support of breast cancer prevention and treatment - she's doing it for herself - self promotion and attention! My sisters and I have volunteered with BrCa organizations for years and have given a lot personally and financially and she disgusts me (much more than usual!).
As a BrCa survivor with 3 generations of my family (7 members) affected, I'm insulted that her name is used in connection with this disease. She does NOTHING in support of or to bring awareness about it - no tweets, no mentions, NOTHING - just her stupid, vapid grin when someone else does the promoting for her. She does NOTHING for anyone but herself! I guess I shouldn't be upset because this is so typical for her, but Andy's comment hit me wrong this morning.

Well my goodness, what a mess she is, fom the wig like hair to the short, tight dress ( there are standing dresses and sitting dresses, Katie). Given that Andy Cohen was determined to ignore her as much as possible, I think his bodyguard jabs were pretty damn good, especially with Mr. Bodyguard as front and center as he could be. As for her college fund statements, we all know KG is a huge word twister, so big news, yes, there are accounts, but I truly doubt that they are fully funded.
And she has offended part of her conservative sheeple base merely by appearing on this type of show, but that also has gone over her head. Yes! Kate has no TV savvy. Did she think people wanted to watch her silently flipping through the pages of a book? I would really love, even just once, to see an interviewer actually follow up with that question. It must be part of the agreement they make beforehand with Kate's "people". I think most people know she's full of it when she spouts how she can't return to work, considering that most parents in America don't have a choice whether to work or not. There are bills to be paid, so off to work I go.
I agree with many of the posts about Kate's performance. Interesting to contrast her with a genuine star who built a career on a combination of looks and talent. Andy showed a montage of MF in sexy poses, including bathing suit shots. Morgan was just very natural, just going with the flow of the show, while Kate was clearly unable to keep up with the rapid-fire change of direction. Her social awkwardness and disconnect from popular culture was obvious and I think that Andy went easy on her so as not to look like a bully. I've never seen his show, but I don't think any host of this type of show sets out to destroy someone. He tried to make a lascivious remark about Kate working as a nurse for private parties--MF aded a comment about costumes--and it just went over her head. She just repeated that the numbers don't add up. She also said, again, that she is a single mom providing for eight children.
In summary, she is done. If she thought that by showing up in a micro-mini black dress that she was auditioning for Housewives of Pennsylvania, it was an epic fail. If she was there to promote the Susan komen charity, it was an epic fail. If she was there to display her gift of gab, it was an epic fail. If she was there to portray a pathetic aging woman that is trying to pass as a teenager and maintain a desperate grip on her fading fame, she wildly succeeded.
She can't have a conversation of any substance. She is hopelessly clueless about popular culture. She is socially awkward. All she has to offer is the opportunity to watch her in action as she goes through her day masterminding and either abusing or ignoring her children and their family pet.

I have ongoing stomach issues, some days worse than others. Sometimes I have nights where I really can't eat much at all. I don't tell people they can't post about what they're making for dinner because I'm missing out on a nice meal because I don't feel well. That gets silly.
People can post what they like here, it's my call. Scroll past if you don't like it, or email me if you have a concern, but what is NOT acceptable is to attack individuals for what they are posting. Enough.
Very nice college funds sounds fully adequate to me. It's nice to hear the kids will at least get some money for all their suffering. Allegedly. Many kids will never come close to a "nice" college fund, she is already way ahead of the game, she accomplished the goal of setting their kids up nicely, now GO AWAY.
I think most people know she's full of it when she spouts how she can't return to work, considering that most parents in America don't have a choice whether to work or not.

Exactly, why is she different than any other parent? There are a million different things she could do while the kids are in school or with Jon where she would never once have to pay a babysitter. They are in school all...day.....long. And since she has a nanny ANYWAY, what is the DIFFERENCE??? She says she wouldn't break even with childcare and yet she is paying childcare now, so how does that make any sense whatsoever? Will anyone please call her out on this fallacy?
She could even still write her stupid blog posts and go for her runs, which as far as i can tell is the only "job" she has right now. The blog posts shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes, wake up at 7 am on a Saturday morning and knock them out. And the runs are usually on weekends. End of story.

Admin, if you're talking about the comments regarding fully funded college funds, I don't like to see misinformation because before you know it the "gospel truth" is Kate has totally funded her kids for college. She said it on Andy's show. She's a great mom. Kate sobbed on an interview after TLC shut her down that she didn't have enough money for their college educations.

This woman is never going to be a nurse again; it was her post high school choice, and she probably even then was looking for a guy with a salary that would let her stay home. Hatching the HOM thing was a bigger career than nursing. And yes, she already pays a nanny, a homework helper and who knows who else when her kids are away all day 5X/week and with their dad 50% of the rest of the time. IF she had ANY interest in nursing, she could have shifts days, nights or weekends when her chidren are not home, no babysitter required. Of course, who would hire her when the bodyguard has to come along - I do believe the mandatory adjacent king size room at Essex House had to be for Kate and Skeeve, and I'm sure she meant connecting, not erely adjacent, too.

Yep, I totally agree. She will work hard to keep herself "out there" in any way she can, but basically, she's done. And not to be cruel, but in the world of celebrity, the older a woman gets, the less media-time she gets as well. What has she have done in this last year, employement wise that has made more $$ than if she'd spent the year nursing? Coupon cabin? A couple of local radio shows? An RN makes good money. With whatever $$ she has stashed, combined with her nursing salary...she could do fine. She's obviously living off of her stashed $$ and if she had a normal job, she'd just be additng to her bank account. Nurses shifts start at 7:00 am, so she could drop her kids off & head into work, she'd only need help from what roughly 3:00 pm - 7:30pm ~ 4 1/2 hrs a day/3 x wk = 13.5 hrs. Doesn't she already pay for a helper 15 hrs a wk? Her logic makes no sense at all. If she's living comfortably, just say so & all the speculation will stop.
I taped the show and just rewatched part of it. After Andy asked what she thought of Honey Boo Boo, and Kate admitted she didn't watch that show, this was the exact conversation:

I know this is restating the obvious, but there is really something psychotically tone deaf about Kate. I remember in one old episode, she's changing over the wardrobe from summer to fall (or vice versa), and she says "this is every mother's worst nightmare." HUH? I would think every mother's worst nightmare would involve harm coming to their child, NOT having to switch over clothing. And then on WWHL, after Morgan tells her kidnapping story, Kate points out the "I hate surprises" quote from the "Sh*t Girls Say" book as if it was relevant to the situation. My poor Grandmother LOVED food, but unfortunately it did not love her.

Kate is desperately trying to be Cheryl Hines with gigantic, blinding teeth. Her smile is very different and that's due to the work she's had done. Look at any old photo and you can see that not only are her teeth very different, but her smile and face move totally different now.
I seriously think she's had her face tucked.
40 lbs. is a lot to lose, but generally, the huge face and body changes are seen with people who have lost far more weight than Kate. It's not fair to compare her to the pic taken right after the tups were born, but photos from even 2-3 years ago show a different Kate.
Again, Kate tells a kernel of truth that she lost 40 pounds. OK. But, it's a lie of omission. She knew damn well that Andy was poking around to see if she had plastic work done and she slithered right out of his grip.
All I can say about the show is...what in the heck was that supposed to be? What was with the touchy-feely with Morgan? To show her fans that she was buddy buddies with a major star? Morgan wanted nothing to do with her. Did you notice some of the glances that she threw Kate's way...no expression on her face except for "what are you doing here?"
The After Show -- Kate was not interested in Morgan's kidnapping story, but rather chose to look through a book in hopes of finding, what? Some zinger to throw out there? Totally disrespectful to Morgan, who was, of course, getting all of the attention, as she should have.
She could never, in a million years, host a talk show or be on the panel of a television show. She has nothing to give, and nothing to contribute. I think that during television shows where questions are asked, Kate is totally on the defensive with her script of practiced responses. It's almost like she's paranoid, anticipates the questions that are asked, and has the answers rehearsed. She can't be spontaneous, which I guess is good in a way because who knows what she'd come up with?

Let's say that Kate might need a sitter on the two weekends that she has the kids so she can run errands and such. That's understandable. Could she get everything done during the week when the kids are at school? Certainly, but let's give her some time to herself on weekends...perhaps four hours a day, which is 16 hours a month. Let's say that the sitter needs to be there when the kids get home from school for two hours (ten days if Jon has 50/50 custody, that's a total of 20 hours a month)
She has them two weekends, which would be a total of 16 hours a month for a sitter, plus 20 hours after-school a month. How much do sitters make? Let's say twelve dollars an hour. These aren't babies in diapers or toddlers. Twelve dollars times 36 hours a month equals $360 a month a month for a sitter. Let's give the sitter more money. Let's give her at least $500 a month.
I would assume that nurses make more than $360 or $500 a month, so what in the world is Kate talking about, that she'd be turning over her paycheck to a sitter?

Just looked at the pics from the show. Morgan Fairchild may be a very nice person and she may look good for her age, but it's certainly not very natural. Women who've had so much botox injected into them look like they've just hopped out of the dentist's chair and their face is still frozen. Priscilla Presley has that same look - chubby cheeks and the inability to smile naturally. It's their own choice of course, but aging gracefully without all the cosmetic alterations would be my pick. The thought of having botulinum toxin unnecessarily injected into my body scares the hell out of me.

Kate looks anorexic to me. In one of her emails to Gina she mentioned that she had not eaten that day. Kate really thinks that's the way to diet, skipping meals. Her collar bone protrudes and her fake boobs are even losing their fullness. If she's not careful, she will have real issues. I also believe that the girls will also have eating disorders, if not already.

Remarkably better. He was taking Tramadol and that didn't seem to be doing too much for him. Yesterday morning, the vet hospital doc gave him Methocarbamol which is a muscle relaxant and it is helping tremendously.
His eyes are bright, he's engaged, moving better.
Yesterday morning was frightening. I thought we were going to lose him, but he's chosen to fight on, God bless him!

I don't get the fascination with Kate. She has absolutely ZERO charm or charisma, and she's horrible at keeping a conversation interesting.
She looked very nervous and uncomfortable and out of place.
And she looks so rode hard and hung up wet! Her face looks like it's getting looooonger and loooooooonger, and her hair! OMG her hair looks pitiful. Like someone takes a bucket of water and dumps it over her head.

person take 3 babies to the doctor, with no one to help and find a third capable person to watch the five children I’ve left behind? Each doctor’s appointment? Nearly Impossible! How does one person care for my six 11 month olds while effectively meeting the needs of 2 dear 4 year olds whose needs have been “put aside” all day, day after day? They have been patiently waiting their turns… which never come because one person is busily scurrying around to care for the babies needs which supersede their own! How does one person take 8 children for a walk? Two strollers and 2 walking 4 year olds? A “normal” thing for any child? Impossible! How does one person care for all 8 children while never leaving the house for things that are very important such as 320 diapers weekly, 13 cases of formula per month, 112 jars of baby food per week not to mention, all the “normal” necessities or preschool drop-offs or pickups! Completely impossible! Literally, we will be completely HOUSEBOUND! How does one person effectively evacuate eight children from 4 different rooms in the case of a fire? Or how does one person care for an injured bleeding child while 7 others are left unattended? Absolutely unsafe! And have we forgotten one thing? One stability in our constantly hectic, crazy lives? Continuity of care! “Community Resources”— a list of college students or high school students available “here and there” as their schedules allow, who when other things come up aren’t afraid to cancel on us – thus leaving my children to wait for lunch or my 4 year olds home form preschool for lack of transportation. “Community Resources” – elderly ladies who cannot lift one 20 lbs. baby let alone 6 and who certainly cannot do stairs while carrying one or two babies! Baths are out of the question! Where will I find this person to walk in, take over for minimal pay as a home health aide, who we as parents trust, who our children trust and love and who will be able to on a whim do what 9 months (with our nurse) of history has built? Exactly my point! By the time May 30 rolls around, a new person, will just be scratching the surface of learning our daily routine and handling the many time management challenges! That is all too exhausting and unworth it for me and my family! The past 9 months have run very safely and smoothly because of our constant caregiver, Angie. Thanks to our approval through Medicaid. Thank you! We can’t thank you enough for the amount of sanity in our crazy and unusual world, but we still need that same help now. I am a very capable person and mother. I pride myself in organization, cleanliness and all American fun! However, at this stage in our lives, this task is bigger than even me! I hate asking for help but for the safety of each of my precious children, I must ask, because I love them. I need the constant care of our nurse Angie to continue! The previous scenarios are things I worry and pray about constantly. I am thankful that none of them have happened and pray that our care will continue to help ensure that they won’t happen. Personally, I see nothing wrong with aging
gracefully and naturally. Make up, plastic surgery, injectables, etc. are not for me. I like the silver hairs and I don't mind the body shifting, either. It's natural.

I don't know how much coverage this got nationally, but its been big news here in the DFW area. A mother was sentenced to 99 years for child abuse for super gluing her 2 yr old daughters hands to the wall and beating her severly. This was over potty training. The girls grandmother took her to the ER. Things like this make me SICK!!!!! At least justice was served!

I, too, saw that Oprah show when Kate made that remark about money. Jon appeared to be mortified by the remark. I believe that Jon was reared totally differently than Kate. I'm guessing here that Jon was taught more social graces than Kate ever was. He was probably exposed to people who had real money and they did not talk about it all the time or at all. Kate is obsessed with money, the talk of it, the rewards of it, and of course seeing it as her way to elevate her own self-worth. Pitiful, really. That is not a healthy way to rear their own 8 children. My grandmother used to tell us that people who have money have no need to talk about it. She was right.

Christina Aguilara was a rail with boobs and now she's fuller figured and looks great. It just was not her body to be so skinny.

When you deny yourself as Kate does it doesn't last. Kate is extreme dieting and taking in way too few calories and makes a HUGE DEAL over eating a cookie. A. Cookie.
I don't eat steak (why? It's packed with nutrients), I don't eat egg yolks (again, why? it's packed with nutrients. I don't eat pizza. Really? Never? Why? I highly doubt it's because she truly doesn't like it.
She is such a poor role model for her girls and pushes her body issues on them. They also get too little food.
At their age, they should be serving themselves the portions they want, not getting their precut food doled out on a plate. Kate should also be eating with them, not standing at the island eating salad.
Kate may be thin, but I'd rather her work on what's inside instead. She needs to thaw out that freezer-burned, blackened heart of hers.

An RN makes good money. With whatever $$ she has stashed, combined with her nursing salary...she could do fine. She's obviously living off of her stashed $$ and if she had a normal job, she'd just be additng to her bank account. Nurses shifts start at 7:00 am, so she could drop her kids off & head into work, she'd only need help from what roughly 3:00 pm - 7:30pm ~ 4 1/2 hrs a day/3 x wk = 13.5 hrs. Doesn't she already pay for a helper 15 hrs a wk? Her logic makes no sense at all. If she's living comfortably, just say so & all the speculation will stop

Kate opened up her heart? When did this happen? The only thing Kate has opened has been her bag -- for cash, gift cards and freebies.
Kate, on being thin. When she did her DWTS thing, she wasn't fat, but she wasn't thin either. Her legs were chunky and she looked bloated. There were remarks made about her weight, on blogs, rag sheets, etc. I remember thinking at the time about Karen Carpenter, and someone remarked that when a critic called her out as being Richard's chubby sister, she was determined to lose weight and really show them. I wondered if the remarks made about Kate's weight at DWTS would prompt Kate to diet and get rail-thin. She looks anorexic, her face is dreadfully thin, and those boobs are going south very fast. There's nothing there to hold them up.
This is not going to end well.
Just watched the after show clips. 3 subjects: 1. Morgan discusses her kidnapping in NY, which was 2 men picking her up by her arms and putting her in a cab and she talked her way out of it.
2. Who was the worse Diva you ever worked with? Morgan will take the high road, BUT kate will tell us from DWTS. Morgan does take the high road and Kate said ditto or something similar.
3. Caller called in and wanted to hear Morgan working with Pee Wee Herman and that took the rest of the time.
No other calls for Kate. But the 2 Bartenders (1 Tranny and a guy) wrote a book "things Shit Girls say" and Andy was saying them as he went page by page "you look good" "I hate all of my clothes" stuff like that, anal. And Kate says "give me the book, let me say something" and Kate does and what does she say "I ate too much" and admits she would say something like that (something a shit girl would say, that is an empty headed person) and then says something else that is empty headed but is something she would have said, then she does that quirky laugh.
Spoiler Alerts? I did not read anyone saying don't spoil the show for us. I would have considered their thoughts. But I still would have posted. After all the whole discussion during that time was about Kate on the show.
I apologize if you were reading my posts and I ruined anything for you, but you did not miss anything. Andy mentioned: John, money made, do you have it, where is it, nursing as a job, nursing as a gimick, show up in costumes (maybe wear a costume with short skirt delivering Happy Birthday wishes/just my thought of what Andy & Morgan were talking about with costume/gimick nurse)Kate said she always renewed her license (but neglected to say she has not kept up on schooling to practice nursing)
I believe Morgan and Andy have a relationship and Morgan is a very smart woman, very charitable and she was thanked on the After Show about all she does for Aids. Andy also said "someone I have admired since I was a kid" and then Kate Gosselin.
There were so many smirks made at Kate's expense and in addition to the bodyguard questions. There was also something interesting about Andy showing the dogs clip, dogs of all sizes being bathed by the Housewives from Miami, which Kate was caught watching while Andy and Morgan were watching the VP debate, Kate tried to lie, Andy said, I saw you watching Miami Housewives as she said I was on the way here.
It is over. I would be surprised if Andy ever saw anything in her for a show. She looks so very thin and that is not from running. My neighbors are runners and they have solid thighs, solid calves and they do upper body exercises.

Thanks for giving us a synopsis of the show! I wouldn't consider this a 'spoiler show scenario', it's not like DWTS, or telling who won a show or who got kicked off.
It is appreciated that those that watched risked burning their retinas (lol) and having nighmares (since it was on so late). I for one didn't want to go to bed with that trainwreck bouncing around my brain!!
I wish they would put the whole show online so it could be viewed, but someone said Bravo doesn't do that.
I did watch the few clips provided, and it was same ol' Kate. She didn't like Andy reading that book,she had the nerve to interrupt Andy and the conversation flow to ask for the book! And then she couldn't find the words on the page, MorganF. had to show her where the words were, that was hilarious. Well Kate wanted the attention on her, she got it! haha!

I looked at the RnR website, and I don't think they have mobile tracking, like they did for the SD half marathon. It's not listed under the events for mobile tracking, probably because it's a short race. They'll probably have results on their website, with her time at the 5k mark and then the finish.
I think some Network Executive threw her a bone to shut her up, and now all network "favors" have been called upon. Kate has NOTHING/ZERO to offer, unless it is about herself. And no one cares anymore, except a few fans...Same crap spewed, different day.

I finally got around to watching the WWHL show on DVR.
- Morgan looked fabulous and youthful, as always.
- Kate told Host, Andy Cohen she "Is one of the rare people that DE-AGES." (Haa... She hasn't read the Blogs lately, if that's what she thinks about her current look!)
- Andy closed the show by giving Kate a set of 4 Mazel drinking glasses, and told her to booze it up with her Bodyguard.
- They never played the "Plead The Fifth" game. Hmm... I've never seen that happen. Maybe Kate asked Stevie to ensure that segment would not be part of the show.
(Just for the record-- I am not talking to anyone, in particular. I'm typing a comment on a Blog. Stupid friggin' Sheeple... go dwell on BM's creepy site ;)

I guess I have to add more. I agree with a poster who said Kate is bulimic. I see that look in her where her skin is hanging from the bone. that is bulimic. If Kate were exercising and losing weight, she would have depth to the limbs and she does not have it. Plus her hair line disappearing is the bulimic thing also. You lose your hair, your nails become paper like and you have skin hanging. I saw that with Kate.

Publication of that Gosselin Book again will bring out the publication's comments by all of the media; but I think the news magazines would be sued right now. Now that the Andy Cohen show is over, the Huffington post is posting some bits and pieces I do believe that Kate is finished. Nothing offered to her will amount to anything. She was not considered for Celebrity Apprentice although I personally would like to see someone kick her ass with the proof of Kate having real organization skills. I think of the RV trip and although she was a bitch, she was kind of cute. Now she has gone too far as Andy Cohen would say "I would put a yellow light on that" which means no more restructuring, as he called it. He did hit the high points and never did ask about the children except for how are they. Kate has a practiced answer as she twists her hands in front of her face wonderful, having their best year all around. Bull. No one has 8 kids with all having a wonderful 100% year. I don't believe it. She hides the problems.
When she took the book from Andy, with the "can I say some" comment, she added something like "in that same voice like you're doing",. He was being dramatic and "girly" with his voice, and she wanted to do that, too, although when she tried she really didn't or couldn't pull it off. Some dead air as she kept trying, and meanwhile they did a brief close-up on Andy and he had kind of a panicked look, with a quick eye dart offstage, and you could tell he was trying to quickly decide how to cut her off like a professional would. VERY awkward.
Do you think she watches herself on the rare shows she's trying to do, even if she has to know that she was awful?
aggiemom -- I was floored when I read the book and found out that that note to Jon was dated 2006! Sheesh! The man's day starts with getting the twins up, fed, dressed and off to school; fixing KK her coffee and delivering it to her in bed; an hour drive to work; an 8 hour work day; an hour drive home; immediately taking over the care of the kids -- feed, bathe, get into pj's, and put to bed. When in the heck did she think he had the TIME to do the other crap she wanted him to do? Did he ever get a chance to just sit down and breathe? Oh, I forgot, he breathed too loudly! On w/e's he took care of the kids and did odd jobs around the house. Most women would kill for a husband who did as much around the house as he did. There is just no pleasing her, ever.

I'm not caught up on posts either Ex-Nurse, but I think you are onto something.
I thought Kate didn't want the 50/50 custody made public because of her supermom "brand." Which we now know for 100% sure is 100% fake.
But now that you mention it, I think the reason may be because it would blow her "I can't go back to nursing" arguement right out of the water. How would she be able to use her well worn excuse that her entire salary would go to sitters, if it was confirmed she only has the kids 2 weeks out of the month?

Kate needs a "bodyguard" to protect herself from herself and to keep her inline. She's too stupid to navigate getting into a limo, and getting out of the limo and walking into a building, yup, lots of stalkers there. She wasn't so worried about being safe for her kids, but she was able to travel thousands of miles away, 24 hrs away to Australia with the married body guard. I could never fathom being that far away from my kids, if an emergency came up. It could take two days to get home and a child would be dead by then. Her only concern if for herself and Steve.
Sweet Tart & Formerly Duped: Kate thinks that the only nursing she can do is in a hospital. Every interview, where they asked her, she always says the same thing: I will/can't etc, work a 12 hour shift, every week or 3 times a week etc. Kate can work (if she gets hired)not just in hospitals, nursing homes, dialysis clinics, Walgreen/CVS clinics, Doctor office, Medical clinics, or even private nurse(not just to purse boy, lololol), my mother had a nurse that came to the house to check on her, after she got out of the hospital, I'm sure I miss a few. Kate has a one track mind, it's the hospital or nothing. Kate can make pretty good money working at the places above, and some not even working 12 hour shifts, more like 8, and some no weekends. I hope some interviewer calls her on that. Kate basicly does not want to work or get dirty, cause we all know that nursing can be a dirty job. Kate does not want to get dirty. Kate is full of shit.
You know, I just re-read her letter to the state of PA outlining in detail why they needed the state paid nurse to continue. She was an arrogant bitch even then. Could not even imagine using part time students or similar resources; no she had a very clear idea of what she wanted, what she needed and just who was supposed to pay for it. This is no consequences Kate, no thought to how messing with science was anything she was ever remotely responsible for. What balls.
And you know, nowhere, anywhere, do you ever get any thought that her husband just might, in this stressful period, be mourning the loss of his father. Nope, all about her.
I don't think Kate could find employment in the medical field.
I've seen enough of her ignorance and stupidity to question anything she'd do. I wouldn't want her within 100 miles of my kid's medical needs.
She has no empathy, no compassion. Is she worked in oncology or hospice, she'd just talk about all her yrs of bedrest and send everyone home with one of her 'books'.

The offensive literal petting Kate did to Morgan was absolutely so off-putting, as well as socially wrong. It was sickening & creepy. Then when Andy asked why she needed her damn bodyguard...reasoning that people were coming after her, she said...of course I'm not going into details on this. Then later Morgan told her kidnapping story...with Kate petting her arm again & then Kate made a joke out it the scary event...well she tried to by reading the surprises comment in the book. It's no wonder Kate has no friends. She has something wrong with her and it's more and more obvious. It's like there is something so dark & ugly inside of her...something so evil and vile and it's beginning to show through for the world to see.
I believe Robert's book has taken a toll on Kate, as she looks ill. It didn't come across as TV, but is clear in the Getty pictures. Her skin is troubled looking too.

Aggiesmom: Oh, I do agree with you, that, the way she is now, no one would hire her. One basic fact being that, Kate has not done any actual, practical nursing in what 7 years. Most, places want someone who is current, been steady working, not someone who takes a test, every year and thinks that's OK, to be consider for a job, having done no actual nursing, for 7 years. Taking care of 8 kids, does not count as nursing skills. In Kates mind it does, and we saw how she took care of her kids, husband and pets/animals, when they were sick & injured. Real good nursing skills there.
Kates letter to PA about a nurse, does not make any sense. She is a nurse, so why need a nurse that only, come what a couple time a week. A hired babysitter could do that. All the things Kate complained about, was nothing more than any other mom goes through. If you have multis you get either family to help or you hire a babysitter or nanny, or child caregiver. Kate arguement did not make sense. That is why she was denied. She is a trip!

That really bothered me. The constant touching and patting Morgan's arm - it was like Kate either wanted reassurance or wanted to be noticed, or both. She must have felt like an outsider and laced the mental acuity to figure out how to be part of the in-crowd. And Morgan never touched Kate back, hardly acknowledged her. It was an interesting dynamic.

In Kate's letter regarding the baby nurse she says:
"I am a very capable person and mother. I pride myself in organization, cleanliness and all American fun! However, at this stage in our lives, this task is bigger than even me!"
WTH is "All American fun"? And what does that have to do with needing a nurse to help take care of her babies.
As someone said, she didn't need a nurse, she needed a mother's helper. The only reason she wanted a nurse, was because Medicaid was paying for it, and she felt she was entitled to it.
I may have mentioned this on another thread, but I have a young friend who is a nurse. She's divorced, with 3 children. She and her ex have shared custody. She works 6 twelve hour shifts straight, Fri - Wed. Thurs. is for catching up on sleep, house work, and grocery shopping. She picks the kids up from school on Friday and has them for the next week. On Fri. morning, her Mom comes and gets the kids off to school while she goes to work. Dad picks them up from school on Friday afternoon, and has them for the next week. He has someone who comes 2 days a week to be there for the kids when they get off school, do a little housekeeping, and start dinner for them. The other 2 days are split between their grandmothers. It's a bit unorthodox, but it works very well for them.
Anger issues 168 -- There are also jobs with insurance companies, reviewing medical records or doing medical coding. She could review medical records for Workers Comp or disability claims. She could work for an attorney reviewing medical records for personal injury or disability cases. She could even do medical billing. And some of those jobs could be done from home. Also a plus -- no direct patient care.
I am glad portions of the book are coming out on all sites. Can't sue everyone and can't sue one if your don't sue them all.
I have the book but can't get into reading. I get physically ill at certain parts.

OCrusher, I remember the newspaper articles about her brazen and numerous appeals for her nurse. It was reported that the judge seemed almost exasperated with Kate, scratching his head as to why this woman was so obsessed with having Medicaid pay for the care of 6 very healthy 1 yr. olds. I believe he told her her situation only required the assistance of "a mother's helper, family members or neighborhood girls." And if memory serves me again, Kate cried "that is not acceptable!" I'm sure the articles are easily Googled, and they are a hoot.

She manipulated fertility treatments she did not medically need to have a HOM pregnancy. Then was on public assistance and got a paid nurse for a year, then threw a tantrum when PA said your year is up- no more.
I keep thinking back to her fake Scarlett O'Hara moment in her first book of lies, the one where she claims to have dramatically shot up on the ultrasound table and exclaimed "we do not choose selective reduction!!!!!!!!!!!"
We NOW know she was actually thinking "Hell to the nizzo we do not choose selective reduction- we're choosing to pimp and exploit every last one of them!!!!"
What I haven't seen talked about is how much of Kate's prime working years she is missing. Ideally, you should be spending your 20s and early 30s when the kids are young or not born yet building seniority and doing time so that in theory, you are at the top of the food chain with holidays off and a more flexible schedule by the time you are Kate's age. But she's been out of work so long I suppose it's entirely possible she will end up stuck with the graveyard shift or working weekends. My aunt is an ER RN and yeah, this is what it was like at FIRST. Had Kate been working steadily all this time she could have built a lot more seniority by now. Idiot.

Regarding nursing, I agree it doesn't have to be 12 hours shifts and include weekends. Some places might, but not all of them. My daughter is a nurse in a clinic, and she works 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. She has recently started checking out other places to see what's out there. She has found a number of places with weekdays only or 4 weekdays and one Saturday a month, etc. You get the idea.
With the kids in school fulltime, even if Jon didn't have 50% custody, she could work full time and spend very little for a sitter. Of course, there is the issue that who would want her? I would never want to be in a doctor's office or hospital and find out that Kate Gosselin is my nurse.
From looking at the picture above, it is very clear that she is trying to dress and look like some 20-something bimbo. That is not appropriate attire for a mom of 8 who is pushing 40. She is doing herself no favors with what she has done to herself as well as her poor clothing choices.

Kate tries to justify having the body guard because her 8 kids need her. Isn't it just as dangerous to be messing with your health (possible eating disorder happening)? Do nurses have to show clinical practice hours to maintain licensure? I know in my profession you have to. It's in addition to a ton of con. ed. hours.

I watched on our big tv and could see the acne lumps under all that makeup. When they had side angles of her cheeks, her skin is not looking healthy under the makeup. If she truly exercises and eats as healthy as she claims, her skin wouldn't be rebeling like that.
Also, does she think driving 110 mph is keeping her safe for her kids? Seems driving safely would keep her safer than a bodyguard.

She has always had skin problems, break-outs, acne. This isn't anything that's just occurred during her recent healthy eating obsession. It's even worse close up. I'm not so sure that any amount of healthy eating and exercise would take care of the problem.
