Love My Grandsons, Midnight Madness. I agree. I like the give and take here. There is so much I do not know about Kate Gosselin. She is like a well, a deep well, so deep that when that bucket is really pulled all the way up, it is going to be full of more crap than an outhouse.
Over 130 comments on WWHL FB page. Most of them are negative comments about Kate.
All the enablers are tweeting Kate saying how excited they are for her to be on WWHL. If(and that's probably a big if) Andy does ask her hard or embarrassing questions, are they then going to turn on him, like they did Anderson Cooper and Tony Dovolani and others who weren't kind to Kate.

It's always a good rule of thumb before posts are made (about tremendous wealth) to think...would some think this is bragging, is it condescending, and if the answer is "quite possibly," then the post could be worded differently, or not posted at all. Last night on Bravo's Watch What Happens host Andy Cohen named Kate Gosselin the "Jackhole of the Day for inviting people to spend thousands of dollars to go on a cruise with her so she can run around the ship yelling at other peoples kids."
The Royal Carribean cruise with Kate includes a private welcome cocktail party, private dinner and brunch, book signing, Q&A session, and a craft lesson. Time will tell if this cruise sails successfully or not since as usual Kate's troubled reputation precedes her. It's a mystery why the cruise line chose Kate to entice people to sign up for the cruise when there are endless celebrities who haven't had a small fraction of the consistently negative press she's had. My guess is that she'll show up for the minimum meet-and-greet events required and not spend any time with the ship's guests unless she absolutely has to. One thing's for sure: Kate loves being treated like a celeb and apparently Royal Carribean is going all out in doing so.
Also do you all realize that Anderson Cooper was co hosting with Kelly Rippa? That was Anderson Cooper that Kate lied to about Jon and the kids not wanting to go there, then leaves the studio and heads to New Mexico with Steve?

I will begin with what I know about Milo (aka @MiloandJack)...
I told all of you briefly, back in the Spring of this year, of my fleeting Twitter relationship with Milo & Jack. (No, we weren't a courtin'!) I had heard "Fired-Up-4-Kate" speak about Kate on the Nina Frye Internet Radio Show... "Living The Dream Mom", long ago. I told her so, and she never responded. She replied to nearly every single tweet I sent her otherwise. Kate read them all, plus the ones I sent to Gypsi001. Kate then blocked Gypsi, although she was a cruise guest, with her family of 5+. Milo NEVER typically blocks a hater on Twitter, from what I've heard. Some of the regular extremists told me the Fired Up caller was actually a 'sock' for Kate Gosselin. Fired Up/Milo sounded Southern and (quite) elderly. Much like my grandmother would have, had she been alive. I had seen her daily posts many times, on BM and recognized the name.
She told me she has a man and pets at home that adore her. True or not- she wouldn't come over to this side... despite my kind pleads. I gave up trying to reason with a Sheep. Milo also said the word "Sheeple" on the Frye Show- priceless. She is just that-- a Sheeple. I got her to buy an entire case of Luna Bars and now she's buying up Kate's Bellas. Baaaaaaa... sorry Milo.

Hey Andy is me Angie, I am typing so fast.......now a Commercial and then the Question's game comes up........but that photo of Kate was the ugliest one she had, she had just given birth.

I had to turn it on and see Morgan Fairchild after the comments - wow, she certainly has plastered herself with plastic surgery. Not appealing. Kate, indeed, in 20 years. She is, though, quite a bright and intelligent woman.
Kate, as usual, looks uncomfortable and is twitchy. She just does NOT do well in interviews, especially one like this that's kind of off the cuff. How anyone, including herself, could feel she has the "gift of gab", which requires an easy and comfortable conversational approach, is beyond me. She's awful. And not coming across as very bright.
If Kate was hoping to impress Andy and maybe get a show on Bravo she blew it big time! She sucked because she has no personality and is pissed she's not in control!
I flipped over to the show while my baseball game was in a commercial...just for one second to see Kate looking very nervous, very uncomfortable with her lips pursed together doing whatever she does with that lip thing.

I saw that! She doesn't understand the game! He had to explain it to her a second time. I thought, OMG, what an airhead, and I would have thought that no matter who it was, but the fact that it was Kate made it even funnier.
It astonishes me how much notice is going to the abuse of the dogs and nothing but excuses about the child abuse. Make no mistake, I am a dog person all the way and I would like to beat her silly for what she did to those two dogs. But she abused her children viciously and hardly a word was spoken about that. Here in our newspaper, and we live in one of the largest cities in the US, there is her ugly face and an article about her abuse of the dogs, and it is ripping her a new one. I just don't get it. This may just be the thing that brings her to her knees. As long as she is brought down, any way they can do it is fine by me.

I'm hoping that Kate will be staying in NY until the 10K on Saturday because I'm guessing that she's really pissed right about now because Andy got in his digs and the show wasn't all about kissing Kate's ass. I'm sure she's on the warpath because she knows what a douche she looked like and God help the child that that gets in her way. Gift of gab? One day she'll own the mic? Talk show host? I think not Kate.
Seems the only thing the enablers have to say about Kate's being on the show is how great they think she looked. There was even one who didn't seem to be too happy about it.

I'm sort of conflicted here about the spoilers and the different time zones..... and I mean this with sincere respect.
Who gets to have it their way? The ones watching the show who are appalled and fascinated in real time by this thing that won't go away... or those who can choose to not be on the blog until the show comes on?
In my mind, it's six of one, half-dozen of another. Who gets their way? How do we decide which group gets things done their way - make east coast folks keep quiet or have west coast folks sign off for a couple of hours until they see it themselves
I honestly don't know... it's a dilemma.
It seems to me (again, I am saying this with respect so please don't all pile on) that if you know the show is on and everyone who is brave enough to watch it will be reporting real-time 'amazing' updates, that you could shut down the blog until after you see the show yourself PST.
For me, I just sign off until after I see the show then join in. There is usually two waves of comments, from the EST posters followed by the PST posters.
It seems silly and a waste of good air to even care about this bleached blond has-been and what is posted about her when.

Tell me why was she there? She added nothing to the conversation-and made herself look stupid. She probably didn't even know WHO was debating tonight (can she name the vice-president or candidates?). She had admitted on twitter that she doesn't watch the Real Housewife shows so she has nothing to add to that subject that dominated the topics.
What do you think all those church going folks would think of her after that appearance. Bravo is a very pro-Gay network and the clips they showed were overly sexual. I am sure she was very uncomfortable when he showed them. Her teenage fans probably don't know who Morgan Fairchild is and she carried the whole show!

Well, that show with Kate on it will be on at 1:30am. I did not watch, I was watching the debate, way more important than Kate. And the after show and local news. But, from what you guys said, Kate made a fool out of herself. Not surprised.

I never watched this show before, didn't know it existed, and now I know why. How does this stay on the air? Are all these shows so boring, so mundane, so idiotic, or is it just because Kate made it so?

She has no idea of a quip response. Her answers were all so heavy. She tried to say what we have all heard before...nursing job/babysitter paycheck/do the math. Bodyguard is warranted/safety for a single mom.
She was appeared uncomfortable and nervous. Actually, Kate is kind of ignored. Just a few obligatory questions were directed her way.
Morgan was animated and pleasant. She laughed and made fun of herself.

I'm sorry, but if I was afraid to tell my husband that I ate lunch out, then he confronted me with a credit card statement and yelled and called me a liar ~ that would be a sign to leave him. That is completely disrespectful. If your spouse is a compulsive liar, humiliating him is not the answer. Kate demanded obedience from Jon and berated him when he didn't comply.

I was curious about the size of the audience at Watch What Happens live so I googled it. One blog said there are about 15 people in the audience, the one here:
says only 12. I'll have to pay more attention next time I watch WWHL but I think they use a laugh track and clap tracks. When Morgan comes out it's full force clapping, not so much for Kate. That makes me believe Andy is not a fan and purposely had the clap track cut short for her, haha.
He's had her as a Jackhole of the Week and only seemed to say to her what he had to. IMO she was ignored as much as possible. Not much camera time at all. I liked how he showed the older picture of her and said the gift glasses were for her to go drink with her bodyguard.
I think he was looking for more of an explanation for the before picture compared to her now, but he didn't get it. Kate only said I lost 40 pounds and the pic was taken 3 days after she had SEXTUPLETS (her emphasis)! I bet he wanted to do a boob comparison but also bet he had a list of pre-approved everything.
I doubt he'll have her back or be offering her any shows. I do wonder how she managed to get on in the first place though. Kate looked at the audience alot but don't think she got what she was looking for, again, haha.

Well someone finally convinced Khate to say that the kids have full college funds. How long til she backtracks on that to grift in the name of her children's higher education? What will be the new excuse? I meant only the twins have them... Only enough cash for the girls because the boys are too stupid and lazy to go to university... I only said the funds are set up, but the the haters have lied and convinced people not to add to the funds...
BTW, thank you to everyone who shared about Kate's appearance on Bravo. I don't get that channel. I don't think Kate is dumb per se. Oops. Guess Kate forgot about her conservative Christian base when she went on Andy Cohen's show. When will the sheeple learn she could care two hoots about sticking to the fake image she was going with for awhile should the right opportunity come a-knocking, even for one measly little 30 minute cable spot at some late hour.
As far as other shows Kate is not on like Big Brother or Amazing Race, etc., I ask that people not spoil outcomes until after the PST's have seen it. This isn't an Amazing Race blog so people wouldn't be expecting it to be spoiled here.
But for something live like this, I'm not going to tell the east coasters not to discuss it in real time. Especially since it's directly related to the subject of this blog. In that case, stay off the blog until you've seen it or understand you risk being spoiled.
Personally, in light of that, I stayed off the blog tonight and sequestered myself with the debates, dinner, dog walking and my pool boy, until it came on. Then by that time I was too tired and pool boy wanted to watch some show on Netflix called Archer, so I decided not to watch, lol, and just came here instead now to read what happened instead of watching what happened. Go figure.
Something I don't understand is how a mom can leave her kids for something so self-absorbing as chasing fame. I don't think Andy pays people to come on that show. I think it's like free advertising for those that have something to hawk.
Kate HAS nothing to 'advertise' but still left her EIGHT kids at home for a free stay in New York City. What was to be gained? What does she tell her kids when they wonder why she leaves them? That she's 'working'? She didn't make any money from this show. Or for being on Katie Couric's show.

I do agree these trips to NYC are silly, pointless, and don't make her a cent of money (working mom my ass), but I also highly suspect that, pursuant to Berk's photo of the kids with Jon on Tuesday, that the kids are with Jon this week. So she's not "leaving" the kids when it's Jon's week, per his 50-50 custody.
It does appear, according to her tweeting patterns and what Jon's girlfriend has said, he's getting some or all of the kids for a one week on-one week off kind of arrangement. I.e. 50-50.
I just finished watching it. Well, it's something at least that she finally admitted she has college funds for the kids. But other than that, she skated by again with no hard questions. Not even about her boob job. And they had a caller who asked about the kids - so she was able to get in the point that everyone is great. I think this was just part of the operation to deflect from The Book.
I think Julianna's post is very wise, respectful words and should be read by everyone. Personally it doesn't bother me in particular, but I can certainly see why it would. I think it's fair to say most of us are "mediocre," and while I do believe that mediocrity ultimately is a fine path in life that can certainly bring much happiness, it's rare to not have times when it's a struggle, and we could all do well to remember that some people are without a doubt in those times, and most probably at least have been, or will be.
Julianna is also a fine example of how to tactfully and respectfully tell someone why their posts may not be working for everyone without kicking them in the gut and being a jerk about it.
So true. It's always a good rule of thumb before posts are made (about tremendous wealth) to think...would some think this is bragging, is it condescending, and if the answer is "quite possibly," then the post could be worded differently, or not posted at all. I'm sure the post in question was NOT intended to be offensive or hurt anyone, but sometimes just putting yourself in another person's shoes who isn't quite as fortunate goes a long way.

I don't have a "perfect" child but when I share a bit here and there about him, it's usually a positive story. That's not bragging, it's pride and love. I think people should post as they feel, as long as they follow the alreadyposted rules.

In the 80's I was a big fan of a certain musician. I went to at least 3 concerts, joined the fanclub, met him once and was kinda obsessed with him for a couple of years.
Since then, I still loved his music but I grew up and realized he's not that great.
However, recently he publicly said something SO ignorant, racist, and against everything I believe.

I no longer listen to his music. HE makes me sick.

I could be wrong but everything about that show seemed to be to put Kate in her place. The title of the book and the authors behind her. The dog clip from the Real Housewives of Miami, the bodyguard comments, the focus on Morgan Fairchild (who Kate wishes she could have the experiences Morgan has had). Morgan who is a lady and down to earth.I think so much went over Kate's head. He got her with the watching the Miami Housewives and she almost lied but she knew he knew.
She actually looks more like the authors of the book behind her (transvestites) because she is developing a hard masculine look due to the weight changes, in my opinion. She does not look as good as she did a couple of years ago and she just doesn't get it.

If you go to Watch What Happens Live facebook page, every single comment about Kate is negative. People even wrote that they would not watch because she was on the show. Mostly positive comments for Morgan.

It's a back view, and Kate's hair is in virtual ringlets. The color is not harsh all over bleach blonde. There are other hues in the strands. It's thicker and longer than I remember. So, you're right, chefsummer, it's either extensions or a wig. I vote it's a wig.
And the dress is the black one with the diamond motifs that she wore to the fashion show in NY - had her picture taken in it.
omg ...just watched the after show and Kate was indeed on it....she's such a tool. I was embarrassed FOR her. She is so awkward and all of the callers just wanted to talk to Morgan. kate kept trying to rub Morgan's arm (weird) like she was "awwing" her and comforting her. It came off as more "do you have a best friend Morgan...do you? do you? can I be your friend? can I? can I?" she just sat there and both of them pretty much ignored her. I wonder if she got uncomfortable with all of the stories Morgan could tell about hollywood etc. and if it made Kate realize what a hollywood NOBODY she really is. I would have died that I was on that show and how I cam off if I was Kate. She definitely went beyond Zlist by doing this show.

Kate kept making weird faces. Why does she do that? Morgan looked secure and comfortable. Kate looked scared to death, trying so hard to fit in, but failing miserably. Actually painful to watch. Which I don't understand. For someone who has the gift of gab, and has been on sooo much teevee, and has had media training, AND wants to be a talk show host, why, why, why is she soooo stilted and uncomfortable?
Kate got very little camera time. Less than 10%. It was basically the Morgan Fairchild show, with that hanger on Kate somebody.

She does it every time, no matter what show she's on. You'd think she'd get past that, in time. But nope. She really can't make a move without Steve telling her what to do.

I recorded the show, gonna wait to watch it with younger dd who will be home from college this weekend. we LOVED the first American Horror Story season, which was a complete story with a conclusion at the end. We are both really excited for the second season and to see what the story holds this time. Jessica Lange will be back in a new role, LOVE HER!!! So dd and I really want to see Morgan. Ms Kreider, Ho hum. Why would anyone waste time giving her media training? We already saw on film that with the best dance teacher she wouldn't pay attention and wouldn't work hard. Ms Kreider completely blew a priceless opportunity when she dissed Saint Tony of the Ballroom on Dancin With Them Thar Stars! Seriously (I sound like Kate), the look Morgan Fairchild gave her while she was doing that was PRICELESS. My translation would be, "You insufferable idiot."
Then Morgan told about being kidnapped as a young woman in NY, while Kate continues to mindlessly leaf through the book, only pausing occasionally to listen.

With the increase in college costs, I couldn't even guess what fully funded means these days for somebody with children in elementary school. Per a USA Today article dated 6/13/12 the average tuition rise at public universities rose by 15% between 2008 and 2011. Penn State was singled out as having "the highest in-state tuition for a four-year public university at $15,250 during the 2010-11 school year. When the costs of room, board and other expenses are factored in, the total rises to $19,816, the fourth highest net price nationwide."
Bottom line: At 30K per year Katie needs a cool million in cash. At 40K per year the number is $1.3 million to send 8 kids to a residential college. I doubt she has that amount in dedicated accounts.
From my own experience with the FAFSA form, someone with Katie's assets will get no breaks on college expenses.
I attached the link to the article, but there are other reasons for the increases in costs, including the easy availablity of loan money, not mentioned.

Love My Grandsons, Midnight Madness. I agree. I like the give and take here. There is so much I do not know about Kate Gosselin. She is like a well, a deep well, so deep that when that bucket is really pulled all the way up, it is going to be full of more crap than an outhouse.

The Royal Carribean cruise with Kate includes a private welcome cocktail party, private dinner and brunch, book signing, Q&A session, and a craft lesson. Time will tell if this cruise sails successfully or not since as usual Kate's troubled reputation precedes her. It's a mystery why the cruise line chose Kate to entice people to sign up for the cruise when there are endless celebrities who haven't had a small fraction of the consistently negative press she's had. My guess is that she'll show up for the minimum meet-and-greet events required and not spend any time with the ship's guests unless she absolutely has to. One thing's for sure: Kate loves being treated like a celeb and apparently Royal Carribean is going all out in doing so.
Also do you all realize that Anderson Cooper was co hosting with Kelly Rippa? That was Anderson Cooper that Kate lied to about Jon and the kids not wanting to go there, then leaves the studio and heads to New Mexico with Steve?

I will begin with what I know about Milo (aka @MiloandJack)...
I told all of you briefly, back in the Spring of this year, of my fleeting Twitter relationship with Milo & Jack. (No, we weren't a courtin'!) I had heard "Fired-Up-4-Kate" speak about Kate on the Nina Frye Internet Radio Show... "Living The Dream Mom", long ago. I told her so, and she never responded. She replied to nearly every single tweet I sent her otherwise. Kate read them all, plus the ones I sent to Gypsi001. Kate then blocked Gypsi, although she was a cruise guest, with her family of 5+. Milo NEVER typically blocks a hater on Twitter, from what I've heard. Some of the regular extremists told me the Fired Up caller was actually a 'sock' for Kate Gosselin. Fired Up/Milo sounded Southern and (quite) elderly. Much like my grandmother would have, had she been alive. I had seen her daily posts many times, on BM and recognized the name.
She told me she has a man and pets at home that adore her. True or not- she wouldn't come over to this side... despite my kind pleads. I gave up trying to reason with a Sheep. Milo also said the word "Sheeple" on the Frye Show- priceless. She is just that-- a Sheeple. I got her to buy an entire case of Luna Bars and now she's buying up Kate's Bellas. Baaaaaaa... sorry Milo.
Something tells me she bought into AMWAY as well! M&J likes the way the Pyramid looks... pur'dy. Twitter later suspended me, because Milo is Kate's tattle-tweetie is my guess.
That's my personal observation.

Eric Roberts saw the wooden spoon photos years ago, and sniffed Kate out! He also said he despised Brooke Burke, who was Kate's biggest supporter during DWTS... and still hosts the show. L.A. folk already knew Brooke was bad news, because of the theft court case her (now) hubby was involved in- airing on our local news networks, at the time. Bad 'Stah' reps. in Hollywood, you see.

I had to turn it on and see Morgan Fairchild after the comments - wow, she certainly has plastered herself with plastic surgery. Not appealing. Kate, indeed, in 20 years. She is, though, quite a bright and intelligent woman.
Kate, as usual, looks uncomfortable and is twitchy. She just does NOT do well in interviews, especially one like this that's kind of off the cuff. How anyone, including herself, could feel she has the "gift of gab", which requires an easy and comfortable conversational approach, is beyond me. She's awful. And not coming across as very bright.

If Kate was hoping to impress Andy and maybe get a show on Bravo she blew it big time! She sucked because she has no personality and is pissed she's not in control!
I flipped over to the show while my baseball game was in a commercial...just for one second to see Kate looking very nervous, very uncomfortable with her lips pursed together doing whatever she does with that lip thing.
But you know that the sheeple will be in a gleeful mood, "Kate, you rocked it...you really rocked it!" They'd say that even if she sat there for the entire show, not saying a word, just trying to get the stick out of her butt.

Andy asked if her life was ever in danger and she said she could not talk about it. Andy asked what advice she has for Honey Boo Boo. She made a face and said "actually I have never seen the show." Andy mostly talked with Morgan Fairchild. She is really nice and speaks quite well. Skeeve is there guarding her body as usual. She is not as pretty as she was 2 or 3 years ago.

So gals, I tried. I was hoping for something controversial and he did ask the questions, but she held onto her hands on the side of her leg with the winnie the pooh, too much makeup and just too stupid. But he asked about facial restructuring, would the divorce have occured if not on the show, a male caller called and hestitated before he asked if she was single and she said, "still single, still single"........and she made that nervous twic. She is such a liar, but Andy asked her "did you save all the money from that show when it was on the air and she said "yes I did, every child has a college account, all set up and money is there"...lying again as she twitches and turns in the seat.
About the bodyguard, oh, going to bed, Andy emphasized it with the goodbye gift "here you and the bodyguard can get all boozed up" he got his words in, but she is slow, very slow and very stupid. He got his stabs in there.
I hope I helped you who didn't have Bravo but you did not miss much except Kate has completely lost her looks, gone. She will never get them back. Hairline gone, facial structure is terrible. She is not attractive and I would be shocked if she got a show from Andy. She has no personality. She does have a look from too much drinking though. That too thin look. Oh well. He got the questions in and he did add a clip from Miami Housewives about dogs being babied and bathed. Wonder why he did that?

I saw that! She doesn't understand the game! He had to explain it to her a second time. I thought, OMG, what an airhead, and I would have thought that no matter who it was, but the fact that it was Kate made it even funnier.
It astonishes me how much notice is going to the abuse of the dogs and nothing but excuses about the child abuse. Make no mistake, I am a dog person all the way and I would like to beat her silly for what she did to those two dogs. But she abused her children viciously and hardly a word was spoken about that. Here in our newspaper, and we live in one of the largest cities in the US, there is her ugly face and an article about her abuse of the dogs, and it is ripping her a new one. I just don't get it. This may just be the thing that brings her to her knees. As long as she is brought down, any way they can do it is fine by me.
I think Kate is hoping that Andy will fall in love with her and give her a show. She came across as very boring. She looks like hell. Her face looks like she should be a good 10-15 years older than she is. I didn't think Morgan looked all that great but there is no way Kate will look half as good at her when she is Morgan's age. Kate came off as being stupid and thank god when her lovefest caller asked about the kids and how they are missed Kate said the kids were doing well in school and DID NOT say they miss being on TV. I am guessing that TLC will let her get a job but not with the kids. I am glad she didn't mention any dating shows either. Kudos to Andy for asking the questions that a lot of the people from this blog wanted asked. Even though she had dumb answers. So who paid for the bodyguard? She did sound like she has lots of money from the show. Andy asked if she saved all her money from both the shows and she said yes and the kids have college funds which was the purpose for the show. So now she can stop crying poor and stop lying about why she won't go back to nursing. If she is so good with numbers she should check those figures for a babysitter again. She has at least 8 hours a day she could work without needing a babysitter. I wish Andy would have mentioned that. OF course she is still saying she is doing it all alone.

I'm hoping that Kate will be staying in NY until the 10K on Saturday because I'm guessing that she's really pissed right about now because Andy got in his digs and the show wasn't all about kissing Kate's ass. I'm sort of conflicted here about the spoilers and the different time zones..... and I mean this with sincere respect.
Who gets to have it their way? The ones watching the show who are appalled and fascinated in real time by this thing that won't go away... or those who can choose to not be on the blog until the show comes on?
In my mind, it's six of one, half-dozen of another. Who gets their way? How do we decide which group gets things done their way - make east coast folks keep quiet or have west coast folks sign off for a couple of hours until they see it themselves
I honestly don't know... it's a dilemma.
It seems to me (again, I am saying this with respect so please don't all pile on) that if you know the show is on and everyone who is brave enough to watch it will be reporting real-time 'amazing' updates, that you could shut down the blog until after you see the show yourself PST.
For me, I just sign off until after I see the show then join in. There is usually two waves of comments, from the EST posters followed by the PST posters.
It seems silly and a waste of good air to even care about this bleached blond has-been and what is posted about her when.

says only 12. I'll have to pay more attention next time I watch WWHL but I think they use a laugh track and clap tracks. When Morgan comes out it's full force clapping, not so much for Kate. That makes me believe Andy is not a fan and purposely had the clap track cut short for her, haha.
He's had her as a Jackhole of the Week and only seemed to say to her what he had to. IMO she was ignored as much as possible. Not much camera time at all. I liked how he showed the older picture of her and said the gift glasses were for her to go drink with her bodyguard.
I think he was looking for more of an explanation for the before picture compared to her now, but he didn't get it. Personally, in light of that, I stayed off the blog tonight and sequestered myself with the debates, dinner, dog walking and my pool boy, until it came on. Then by that time I was too tired and pool boy wanted to watch some show on Netflix called Archer, so I decided not to watch, lol, and just came here instead now to read what happened instead of watching what happened. Go figure.
Just finished watching that loser on WWHL. My observations:
She kept looking down at the TV monitor to see if they were showing her.
She looked totally out of her element and was trying so hard to fit in.
Other posters said Morgan never (or rarely) looked at Kate but I saw her looking at her at least 3 times.

Something I don't understand is how a mom can leave her kids for something so self-absorbing as chasing fame. I don't think Andy pays people to come on that show. I think it's like free advertising for those that have something to hawk.
Kate HAS nothing to 'advertise' but still left her EIGHT kids at home for a free stay in New York City. What was to be gained? What does she tell her kids when they wonder why she leaves them? That she's 'working'? She didn't make any money from this show. Or for being on Katie Couric's show.

I do agree these trips to NYC are silly, pointless, and don't make her a cent of money (working mom my ass), but I also highly suspect that, pursuant to Berk's photo of the kids with Jon on Tuesday, that the kids are with Jon this week. So she's not "leaving" the kids when it's Jon's week, per his 50-50 custody.
It does appear, according to her tweeting patterns and what Jon's girlfriend has said, he's getting some or all of the kids for a one week on-one week off kind of arrangement. I.e. 50-50.
I just finished watching it. Well, it's something at least that she finally admitted she has college funds for the kids. But other than that, she skated by again with no hard questions. Not even about her boob job. And they had a caller who asked about the kids - so she was able to get in the point that everyone is great. I think this was just part of the operation to deflect from The Book.
I think Julianna's post is very wise, respectful words and should be read by everyone. Personally it doesn't bother me in particular, but I can certainly see why it would. I think it's fair to say most of us are "mediocre," and while I do believe that mediocrity ultimately is a fine path in life that can certainly bring much happiness, it's rare to not have times when it's a struggle, and we could all do well to remember that some people are without a doubt in those times, and most probably at least have been, or will be.
Julianna is also a fine example of how to tactfully and respectfully tell someone why their posts may not be working for everyone without kicking them in the gut and being a jerk about it.

In the 80's I was a big fan of a certain musician. I went to at least 3 concerts, joined the fanclub, met him once and was kinda obsessed with him for a couple of years.

I could be wrong but everything about that show seemed to be to put Kate in her place. The title of the book and the authors behind her. The dog clip from the Real Housewives of Miami, the bodyguard comments, the focus on Morgan Fairchild (who Kate wishes she could have the experiences Morgan has had). Morgan who is a lady and down to earth.I think so much went over Kate's head. He got her with the watching the Miami Housewives and she almost lied but she knew he knew.
She actually looks more like the authors of the book behind her (transvestites) because she is developing a hard masculine look due to the weight changes, in my opinion. She does not look as good as she did a couple of years ago and she just doesn't get it.
I don't think Andy likes her and he did not hide it.Not once did he refer to her reality program that I heard, not once did I hear him say Kate+8 (although I could have missed it) He did refer to her job at Coupon Cabin and Running for Susan G Komen a few times.

What does the term "fully funded" actually mean? Does it mean that the 8 college funds have enough for 4 years at a state college or a private college? What happens to the child that decides not to go to college. Do they get their college fund money?

If you go to Watch What Happens Live facebook page, every single comment about Kate is negative. People even wrote that they would not watch because she was on the show. Mostly positive comments for Morgan.
And looking at the pics on the Bravo site, could Kate's dress have been any shorter?? I don't think so.

first of all..that show is a piece of crap. Why anyone would waste their time on there is a mystery to me. Kate was so out of her element it was ridiculous. I took it off a couple of times because it was too embarrassing to watch her be so uncomfortable. She was basically ignored most of the time. It seemed like it was the "Morgan Fairchild show" because all Andy did was talk to her. That was the stupidist position to put herself in. All it did was prove that this woman cannot hold her own on National T.V. If any one says she was great on there..now we know what ass kissers they are.. When asked about her bodyguard..she said that her safety was iminent she was safe because she had 8 kids....also that it was "warented"....All with this guilty look her face...OMG...it was a disater!!!!!!!!!!

I find it interesting someone upthread said she was constantly touching Morgan Fairchild...that's a sign of an insecure person wanting to be included.Apparently from what is reported here, Morgan made no eye contact with Kate and didn't reciprocate.

I don't post much but try to read every day, I watched part of the show, my daughter (23 - who used to watch the show with me back when) walked in when they showed Kate. All she said was "what the h happened to her? She looks like a guy.)

Perhaps she's had sound financial advise as to how much to put away; it's not like those kids are going to college next year. By the time they reach that age, who know what it would cost.
She's still a liar though, in her journals when Discovery/TLC are talking show salaries, no where that I recall does she EVER mention the kids' college expenses...someone correct me if I am wrong.
She did that show so she could quit her job and be a stay at home mom (she does state that several times). Yep, that's what those kids needed, HER staying home..scary indeed.

I think he had her on for a trial run as she may be pushing hard for him to give her a show. I totally missed the concept of the show WWHL. I thought they would be sitting at the bar having drinks and would let their hair down a little. So much for the fun side. The show confirmed that the stick has taken up residence is not going anywhere any time soon. I think she was trying to get brownie points by having the housewives on "in there" which I guess is the green room. I never realized that she was so touchy feely. She kept glancing sideways at Steve. She so wants his approval but I don't think he gives it to her much.
Just a quick comment, to echo what everyone else already said about Kate seeming awkward and out of her depth.
I also want to add that, while she admitted to having college funds for the kids, she did not actually say they were "fully funded."
She only mentioned that the college funds existed when Andy asked her directly if she'd saved the money she "earned" on the show(s). Not in these words exactly, but she asserted that, in establishing college funds for the kids, they met the objective for participating in the show(s) in the first place.
She had that stupid glazed frozen smile that you see when someone is trying hard to fit in with the popular crowd, who wants nothing to do with them.
What is she doing with her tongue? She does something weird, it holds her mouth funny. Like she's trying to push out her front teeth or something. Makes her smile look so forced, like it's tatooed on.
I thought Andy made it perfectly clear that Morgan had done a bunch of stuff professionally, and that Kate has NOTHING. hahahaha
Morgan had 2 seconds to guess the name of the film clip they were showing, during which Kate is TALKING to her and pawing at her arm. Way to be completely distracting.

Yep. He had her number. He was needling her. Why else would they have a little video of a dog being bathed? Out of all the ones he could choose, he randomly chooses that one? Not buying it.
Why do people EVER ask her about going back to nursing? (Andy asked her that once.) CLEARLY, she doesn't have to work, at least for now. She HAS a babysitter now, so if she can afford a babysitter while NOT working, I think she doesn't need to work.
People should just say, "So, any thoughts for what you'll do once the money runs out?"

It's a back view, and Kate's hair is in virtual ringlets. The color is not harsh all over bleach blonde. There are other hues in the strands. It's thicker and longer than I remember. So, you're right, chefsummer, it's either extensions or a wig. I vote it's a wig.
And the dress is the black one with the diamond motifs that she wore to the fashion show in NY - had her picture taken in it.
omg ...just watched the after show and Kate was indeed on it....she's such a tool. I was embarrassed FOR her. She is so awkward and all of the callers just wanted to talk to Morgan. kate kept trying to rub Morgan's arm (weird) like she was "awwing" her and comforting her. It came off as more "do you have a best friend Morgan...do you? do you? can I be your friend? can I? can I?" she just sat there and both of them pretty much ignored her. I wonder if she got uncomfortable with all of the stories Morgan could tell about hollywood etc. and if it made Kate realize what a hollywood NOBODY she really is. I would have died that I was on that show and how I cam off if I was Kate. She definitely went beyond Zlist by doing this show.

Theres NO WAY in hell they're going to build a whole show around this idiot...she can barely get through an interview for 2 minutes..you would have to be brain dead to even consider it. Her agent is getting her these interviews to keep her "out there"....she's terrible on camera lately...very visibly nervous, and no natural ability...just pathetic...I wish she would stop this. Kate looked scared to death, trying so hard to fit in, but failing miserably. Actually painful to watch.

For someone who has the gift of gab, and has been on sooo much teevee, and has had media training, AND wants to be a talk show host, why, why, why is she soooo stilted and uncomfortable?
Kate got very little camera time. Less than 10%. It was basically the Morgan Fairchild show, with that hanger on Kate somebody.
I understand Lillian Glass not wanting to give Kate any attention, but I'd sure like to see a body analysis of this show. Kate was totally pawing Morgan, in a self-soothing kind of way.
Plus she had a really guilty look on her face when talking about the body guard. Gave that away. Morgan made sure to say "he's here tonight". Kate started up on her usual crap about a single mom.
God, does the woman EVER have anything new to say? Why have her on? All she ever says is the same crap she said the last 100 times. You'd think a media trainer would at least mix it up a little and give her some new phrases.

That appearance on WWHL was beyond painful to watch. Andy seemed to be more enthralled with Morgan Fairchild (as he should have been) since she is a true talent. Kate's answer to the bodyguard question was laughable. And what was up with all the arm caressing she was doing to Morgan. It must of been her way of saying "see I'm a caring person, I could never beat my kids or dog." The entire thing was simply another failed attempt on Kate's part to prove that she is tv worthy. EPIC FAIL!!!

Ever notice how the other guests address their comments to the host, while Kate addresses her answers to someone off camera or the audience, in kind of a needy way, making those stupid faces.
She does it every time, no matter what show she's on.

I recorded the show, gonna wait to watch it with younger dd who will be home from college this weekend. we LOVED the first American Horror Story season, which was a complete story with a conclusion at the end. We are both really excited for the second season and to see what the story holds this time. Jessica Lange will be back in a new role, LOVE HER!!! So dd and I really want to see Morgan. Ms Kreider, Ho hum. Why would anyone waste time giving her media training? We already saw on film that with the best dance teacher she wouldn't pay attention and wouldn't work hard. Ms Kreider completely blew a priceless opportunity when she dissed Saint Tony of the Ballroom on Dancin With Them Thar Stars!
You can only teach someone who is ready to learn, and since Ms Kreider thinks she already knows everything, media training would be useless.

Andy's reading stupid clips from "S--- Girls Say" when Kate grabs the book from him (like she grabbed the mic from the ET reporter--remember that) and says she wants to read some of the lines in the same way that he is. Seriously (I sound like Kate), the look Morgan Fairchild gave her while she was doing that was PRICELESS. My translation would be, "You insufferable idiot."
Then Morgan told about being kidnapped as a young woman in NY, while Kate continues to mindlessly leaf through the book, only pausing occasionally to listen.

I don't have a link for this specific question, nor do I know what Katie Irene said. Even if the answer was fully funded, that's meaningless (to me).
With the increase in college costs, I couldn't even guess what fully funded means these days for somebody with children in elementary school. Per a USA Today article dated 6/13/12 the average tuition rise at public universities rose by 15% between 2008 and 2011. Penn State was singled out as having "the highest in-state tuition for a four-year public university at $15,250 during the 2010-11 school year. When the costs of room, board and other expenses are factored in, the total rises to $19,816, the fourth highest net price nationwide."
Bottom line: At 30K per year Katie needs a cool million in cash. At 40K per year the number is $1.3 million to send 8 kids to a residential college. I doubt she has that amount in dedicated accounts.
From my own experience with the FAFSA form, someone with Katie's assets will get no breaks on college expenses.

Kate, like the dolt she is, is still sitting there with the stupid book in her hand as her crutch through the entire segment. The whole segment is devoted to Morgan telling a long story about Peewee Herman.
It's obvious Kate doesn't understand or get any of the references Morgan is making or why it's all funny. Kate lives in her own world, the center of which is her.
