Merry Christmas

Enjoy your holiday! If you have a minute, watch no-nonsense hair stylist Tabatha Coffey crack a rare smile when she slams Kate's expensive do. "Disastrous!"

We're done opening gifts (my husband made me a scrapbook from Shutterfly with pictures of our little family, I cried! It is so amazing)

I LOVE Tabatha. She is no-holds barred. I wish she had said more. Again, proving Kate is greedy with a capital GREEDY. Leaving her kids, spending all that money, etc etc...

We are like little old Italian ladies stirring the pot of spaghetti sauce over and over again... and the results are not improved. Kate Gosselin will earn $$ millions $$ and millions $$ in 2011 on the backs of her dysfunctional kids just as she did in 2010 on the backs of her dysfunctional kids. We little old Italian ladies are going to keep stirring the pot of spaghetti sauce in 2011 over and over again, but nothing will improve. Our efforts truly are futile, but thanks, Administrator, for letting me have this site to vent. Kate Gosselin is going to be laughing at all of our snark all the way to the bank in 2011. She is one clever woman. We are the ineffective and helpless fools.

ITA Anita. Kate is so far from normal she will never see the damage she has done and is continuing to do and even when she is forced to see what has become of them in a few years, it will be someone elses fault -- never hers. But I wouldn't call her clever, demented is more like it.

I gotta say...that when I saw the picture of kHate to the right of the interview video.....my first reaction was, "She's pretty in this picture."

Quite extraordinary that only a couple years + $$thousands of dollars in renovations later........and kHate now looks like a miserable old hag.

Anita Clever?? No she is a miserable, selfish bitch who will never be happy no matter now much money she has. I don't envy her one bit and wouldn't trade places with her no matter what. She has no friends, no family, some day her kids will tell her to get lost, seems miserable when she's with her kids that most people would adore and will never be the "star" that she aspires to be. I'm quite happy being that little old Italian lady! Merry Christmas everyone! Let's all be thankful we are not Kate!

My son has highjacked the TV for his videogames, even though my husband got me the Jeopardy game for the Wii, I would like to play!! I'm bored...I hope you all are having a lovely day though. We're just hanging in. We saw family last night. I'll be checking in & commenting all day probably...sorry Admin!! :)

Titanic, you're not alone. I agree with you. The blogging keeps Kate relevant. Just think if a pap took her picture and all the tabloid magazine printed and no one reacted..dead silence...how long would it take for Kate to go away then?

Probably about 15 minutes.

But people say they need a place to vent. I say, if no one was here reading about Kate's atrocities over and over, they wouldn't need to vent. What a vicious circle.

I wish 2011 could be the year no one cares about Kate!

Hey Anita :o)
Kate's not clever- that woman does not have a clever bone in her body. What she is, is mean and manipulative... with expensive, ugly hair.

Merry, merry....Ho-ho-ho ya'll!!!

I wish 2011 could be the year no one cares about Kate!

I think it's more about people caring about the kids. Nobody cares about Kate per se, it's about her treatment of her own children that gets people up in arms. Yes, maybe if we all turned our backs on that mess of a mother, she would quietly slip into obscurity, but I think that is where things would get unbelievably bad for the children. I know that some say, "Look in your own neighborhoods, there are kids suffering in your own backyard." I am certainly aware of this. I not only volunteer at Big Brothers/Sister, but I'm also involved with MooreMart, where we put shipments together for the troops overseas. People donate items such as toothpaste, floss, books, I could go on & on...our last shipment went out before Christmas & there were tons of kids stuff, for the children in Iraq, affected by the war.
(check out www.Mooremart.org for more info. My dad is HUGE into it, & he got my mom, myself & my son into it. Support our troops!)

Anyway, I'm not coming down on anyone, we all support someone in our own little way. It would be amazing if Kate showed one ounce of charitable...something. She just takes takes takes. I see people on this very blog, who work have kids, & they volunteer here or there. I know I don't have much in terms of money, we get by, but it's not about money. It's about giving with your heart. I know when those kids in Iraq opened up those stockings, or those boxes of soccer balls, they probably were so happy. That makes me feel so good. Seeing my son's face this morning, that made me feel good. Does Kate remember that feeling of giving? It's been take take for so long. I hope her kids had a nice Christmas, & she didn't make them say Thank you after opening every gift, & then said You're NOT welcome. Or made them feel like they didn't deserve their gifts, the kids PAID for them! I've ranted long enough, but you guys know what I mean. (still haven't gotten to play Jeopardy yet.)

I hope you all got what you wanted, & you are enjoying your family! Peace~Hippie Chick

OMG! Kate looks JUST LIKE this Tabitha lady in the face. If Kate got rid of the extentions, she and this lady would almost be twins.

I just don't think Kate gets that no matter how much money and time she spends on her hair to look gorgeous, she will never be gorgeous because her ugly insides overpower her appearance.

I wonder how many times the kids will be screamed and hollered at today. How many times were they made to tell her thank you for their gifts? How many times did she tell them in what order to eat their Christmas dinner? Were they told to say in bed and not get up until the sun was directly over the house? How many kids were denied eating dessert today because they didn't finish their plate? How many kids are reminding their brothers and sisters to not make mommy angry today? How many times did she bash Jon in front of the kids today?

This is the scenario I imagine the Gosselin household to be like on Christmas Day. Sad.

On the other thread someone mentioned the "Shep and Tiffany Watch TV" show. So two nights ago on BravoTV I recorded it. The episode is where these cartoon reality TV junkies review highlights from 2010. Not a surprise they have a review re Kate Gosselin and for those of you who do not have cable here is a transcript:

---

Shep: "OK where is my steaming pile of Kate Gosselin?"

Tiffany: "Here she is" (showing DWTS sign - next scene is Kate and Tony Dovolani stretching on dance floor)

Tony: "Kate I was thinking we would do a mambo for our next dance"

Kate: "No"

Tony: "A rumba?"

Kate: "No"

Tony: "A cha cha?"

Kate: "Shut Up. I have some interpretive dance ideas that are going to blow these judges' minds. (Kate is now showing Tony some of her drawings) This is me poisoning my ex husband Jon. I could dance over to you and you could pretend you are eating cereal ... I will poison it and then you will collapse I can dance on your head. You have an Ed Hardy shirt, right?"

Tony: "I don't think ..."

Kate: "Whatever. We will get you one"

Tony: "No it is just that I don't think the judges will go for something like this ..."

Then Bristol Palin is there and has questions for Kate about eating chicken and cake during DWTS when she is on next season. Then Tony continues his conversation with Kate ~

Tony: "Can we please get back to your main dance ideas?"

Kate: "Fine. Here is another one. You can play a foster home agent whom I am giving all my kids to and then I will dance a freedom dance and you pretend to be Lorenzo Lamas and we can pretend that we are getting married or if you don't like either of those options I could just lie and say you touched me inappropriately during dress rehearsal ..."

Tony: "I will start working on my Lorenzo Lamas"

---

I have said it before and I will say it again - I love the fact that Kate and TLC allowed Kate to do DWTS. Whereas I'm sure that the plan was to gather Kate more viewers for her shows ... ahahaaaa ... if ever there was a PR plan that backfired so publicly it has to be Kate on DWTS. Now before the few Sheeple get upset I will also acknowledge that yes it did get Kate on the Emmys but guess what, it was to participate in a skit about her stint on DWTS - she was the butt of the joke!

Anyway I don't know if we will still be blogging about the Gosselins a year from now, for the kid's sake I certainly hope not.

In the meantime I also want to wish everyone on this blog not only the happiest of holidays but a fantastic 2011 ~

Kids and Christmas -- it just doesn't get any better than this! I have wondered several times how miserable Kate is making Christmas for her kids today -- you know, everything has to be controlled and smooth running. Everything her way. I hope they had fun with Jon yesterday. Children are smart. Kate may have spent lots of money on gifts, but when they look in her eyes to her heart and know what an awful person she is, they KNOW who loves them and who uses them. Sad.

About the picture -- I agree Kate's hair is not good, it looks like straw a lot of the time and you can clearly see the line where the extensions are, but darn that woman talking about her is a bit freaky herself. haha

As my kids run around and play with their gifts (and of course the BOXES that brought the gifts) I cant help but think of the G8 and what his day is like for them.

Most likely there are MULTIPLE servants, nannies, helpers - maybe even cameras cluttering what should be the ULTIMATE family holiday together. Somehow I cannot imagine that kHATE is cooking, wrapping, cleaning AND PLAYING with those kids. We made waffles, and some cinnamon roles and my kitchen is a disaster. Still remnants from last night appetizers I supplied to the Family dinner at my parents with all 7 of my family PLUS all of our kids.

No doubt in my mind kHATE has turned today into HER day at the Kompound. Probably sleepy from wine-in-the-box and listening to eight excited little people run around and embrace a wonderful day.

So, so sad.

Merry Christmas all.

It's about to dump buckets here in Northern California and my daughter wants to try out her new rain boots so its off for a walk in the rain and muck with the kids and dog. I wouldn't have it any other way ...

I may be "alone", but I am certainly not alone. New Year's will be more of the same.

If you have family, rejoice. If you don't have family, chances are you have friends. Rejoice.
If you have neither, it's probably by your own choice. Go be a friend and you will have friends.

As much as it entertains me to hear Kate slammed in the media, it's hard to take that woman seriously! She looks like Kate only ten years older. Actually, I just looked up her age, and if Wiki is right, she's 43, which makes her 8 years older than Kate. Guess now we know what Kate will look like in 2018!

I don't think it's hard to take Tabatha Coffey seriously. She's worked darn hard to get to where she is. She's done it herself, not on the backs of others. Merry Christmas, everyone! To my absolute horror, my husband thought it would be funny to buy me Khate's book on how to exploit your child's feelings. I don’t think TLC would have shown that footage of Kate’s meltdown in the car with Steve where she was crying and twisting her hair around her finger complaining about how tired she was if they thought her behavior was bad for the show. If you read what the producer said in the interview at WG’s site, you’ll see that it isn’t necessarily the ratings that keeps someone on TV.

MickeyMcKean said...

To Kate the Phoenix!

My point was that at the time it was arranged for Kate to be on DWTS, I'm sure TLC thought it was a great way to drum up new viewers. Keep in mind that many viewers only knew her from tabloids, nothing else.

Perhaps TLC knew Kate would alienate the audience, maybe not. We will never know for sure.

However at the time the meltdown was aired it was after she was eliminated from DWTS, after the public turned against her.

Now I agree with what the producer said in the interview. Does TLC have a new agenda?

Only time will tell.

In a way you're right; she is clever. She bashed Jon repeatedly on camera, denied kids things they wanted, yelled and made embarrassing remarks about them, let private moments be shown on TV, and yet she made herself look like a victim-the poor single mom whose husband cheated on her, and now she has to raise 8 kids by herself and doesn't have enough money to pay the bills. Not sure how she pulled it off, but it was enough to get her on People magazine numerous times as well as an offer for DWTS. Thankfully more and more people are seeing her for who she truly is.

On another note, Aeris, I was going to suggest you sell your book on ebay (there's probably some sheeple that wants it and you could make money from it), but I like PJ's Momma's idea better. :) I actually feel kind bad saying this, but you should "play God" and send Kate into the fire...

This morning I watched the last part of a movie called "Teenage Paparazzo" (it was on HBO here in Canada).
http://www.teenagepaparazzo.com/
Very interesting look inside the cult of being famous. They also talked about "para-social interaction" which IMO describes the sheeple to a tee.
"Parasocial relationships are the kind of one sided pseudo-relationships we develop over time with people or characters we might see on TV or in the movies. So, just as a friendship evolves through spending time together and sharing personal thoughts and opinions, parasocial relationships evolve by watching characters on our favorite TV shows, and becoming involved with their personal lives, idiosyncrasies, and experiences as if they were those of a friend."

I hope everyone had a good holiday. Happy Boxing day to my fellow Canucks, no sales for me today - as we are recuperating from a nasty flu bug.

So, here I am in my master bedroom, with a box of whine, no, wait, wine, NO KIDS ALLOWED sign on the door, & I have this really expensive pen I bought, well, my kids bought, (ssshhh) & this notebook with purple dollar signs on it, & I'm writing a book! I have all of these sticky notes that I'm gonna just gonna paste inside cause I'm lazy like that. This one here says "To Maddy, I love you (sometimes) you remind me of me. NOT GOOD. From, Mom" The next one says "To Collin, you have GI issues, if you didn't chew so much gum, maybe that wouldn't happen. I wish that you would just shut up about that stupid bear. Man up! Tell your brothers the same thing. Mom." And then there's this one to Cara, "Dear Cara, you remind of your dad, I will always give you the "side eye". There will never be affection from me, so quit trying to win my love. The tups make me $$. They are my bread & butter. You & Maddy? Not so much. Best, Mom." Oh, & there will be a recipe for a PB&J sandwich I made all by myself. I will also embarrass my kids w/ anec...anect...little stories about when they were learning to poop, I may even throw in a picture I took of their crap. I'm such a good mom. Let's just go w/ that. The haters can suck it. They don't know me. They don't know how hard it is for me to look this good. I have to leave my kids all the time, (which I LOVE, I mean, don't love, I hate it. I do everything for my kids!) & get my hair done, my nails done, & tan. It's in the book, my beauty routine, so all my fans can look like an orange hooker who gets no clientele! I'll film my kids til they're in college cuz people wanna see them grow into little money-making machines...I mean respectable human beings w/ things given to them on a golden platter. Funny....but I don't get it. The date is June 7 2010, but it's written like Kate and Jon were still married and the twins are the only ones in school.

Particularly amusing was that she uses Christmas money for the once-a-month spa and pedicure, not family money! LOL!! What's she using now? Child support money? The kids' 15 percent of the pot?

There was another point made in that movie, some guy (wish I had written his name down - I've been googling for awhile and coming up with nothing) anyway, this guy did a survey on middle school aged kids and asked them what they wanted to be when they grew up. Their choices were US senator, Fortune 500 CEO, president of Harvard or the assistant to a celebrity and 42% chose personal assistant. That's the sheeple mindset - being the personal assistant of a celebrity is the ultimate.

I hope I didn't just give TLsuck a show idea. can you imagine if they held a competition to be K8's PA...that would be terrifying!! Sheeple would be climbing over each other just to apply.

My laptop is off so if by some reason I post twice, I apologize for it. For the woman who wants to get rid of her book, here is a thought:

Wrap the book into a nice pretty box with a pretty ribbon. Spend a little money to have it shipped to the TLC headquarters with a note which should read, "I did not knoww hat to get you. The outside of the box is all nice and neat. Sorry--inside is not so pretty. But that's the reality of life and the reality is that for your New Year I hope you move on from Kate, you and Kate BOTH know you don't sell very well, heck this book was only bought for $2."

Admin., I first read it over on GWOP. Someone vowed up and down they were going to Australia and New Zealand, and that the kids were going to be pulled out of school. Someone asked for the dates of the trip and the "leaker" never responded.

I can't imagine torturing those kids with a trip of that length. I did it once, and when I was there, I was trying to figure out if I wanted to take up permanent residency there because I dreaded the flight home so much. I just didn't want to come back. It is brutal for an adult, let alone eight kids who are prone to air sickness and fatigue.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

They probably weren't even able to get out of the east coast what with the terrible storms.

It is so fun to sit in an airport the day after Christmas waiting to squeeze on some kind of plane somewhere somehow no matter what wild connection you need to make. Been there done that and I didn't have to do it with eight kids and a production crew and a shrew.

New York to Ausralia is about 21 hours. Anyone who does that to a child because they just want to film the crap out of them and make more money is a child abuser.

What is her blog? And does Carla help Ashley w/ the kids?

Also, tonight we were watching a rerun of Undercover Boss, (for those of you who don't watch it,it's a show about a CEO or president of a big corporation, and they step down for a week and do jobs that their employees do, to see what's like, and how they can improve their company) and I had an idea. The president of TLC, Eileen what's-her-name, needs to go into the shoes of the 8 kids and see what it's like for them under Kate.

Hope it is just a rumor said...

But doesn't Jon have custody on New Year's Day? If the rumors are true, then Jon caved and somehow I think his caving days are behind him. (I also think if there is any glimmer of hope for the kids' surviving with the tiniest degree of psychological integrity then his caving days better be behind him.)

Seems like a lot of speculation to me. Ashley goes to Liberty University, she could be going on a Mission Trip.

If Kate was going to take the kids to Australia and it was going to interfere with Jon's custodial time wouldn't he have to consent to it?

PJ's momma said...

I don't think she's taking those kids that far. Not only is the trip absolutely brutal (but oh so worth it), you have to get visas for all entering Australia. That would be a lot of visas for a family that large and a crew. Plus, Sydney, which is very kid friendly and educational, is prohibitively expensive. We were shocked but we are set financially (as is TLC no doubt), but it was still surprising to us. Literally everything is imported except for food and to give you an idea - I saw a pair of True Religion jeans, which I believe are $100-$150 here, and they were $600 there. I wouldn't even pay American prices, but I nearly died when I saw that and the clerk said it's because they are imported. My husband's colleagues bring an empty suitcase when they come to corporate headquarters here, just to buy their kids' clothing and shoes because they say it's 1/10th of the price they pay there. I think it's a rumor that someone started that gained a life of its own. At least I hope so.........
Happy Boxing Day - hope you all had a great Christmas and happy new year too!

What's there to do in Austria in the winter? Ski? Snow Board? Look at mountains? Isn't there somewhere in the PA/NY area where 8 kids can ski, snowboard and look down from high places? A trip to Austria sounds to me like something you would hold off on until the kids are ALL old enough to get some benefit from it.

Oh, I know. Go when somebody else is paying for it. I get it.

I seriously doubt they're going anywhere out of the country until Kate is again worth the cash she costs TLC.

As for a brutalizing 21 hour flight for the kids, since when has that ever stopped Kate before? She doesn't look after them anyway and if there's money involved she'd fly them through the gates of hell to get it.

Question for all of those who know, and who have lived with narcissists:

On the server homepage, they are again listing Kate as one of the biggest jerks on television this year, with her photo. If a narcissist sees this, is it a big blow to the ego, or don't they care, as long as their face is plastered there? I would think that any "normal" person would be devastated by this publicity, being named a "jerk," but what about the narcissist? Do you think that this bothers her?

Above is Carla's blog also titled Celebrating the "Beautiful Mystery"

I was just speculating about Ashley's 20 day trip and wondered if anyone could shed some light on it. I so hope it does not involve Kate & the kids & filming.

I still think Carla supports Kate big time, only wants to see Kate's side of the story and of course she & Ashley profit from helping out.
How Carla as a Mother can justify any of the filming is beyond me.

I feel pity for those children because assuming they are not on a plane somewhere they are probably locked into their house with that witch!

kate started the rumor about leaving the country. She says "Austria" on her blog.

So she really didn't want to spend quality time with her kids. She wanted another freebie and opportunity to exploit her kids and make them work.

We are getting pounded by snow here in the northeast, so it's another day of me visiting the blog every 10 minutes! (just kidding, we'll go play in the snow, & play with my son, & all that good stuff)

If Kate brings those kids on that mega-long plane ride, they are prone to air sickness, are they not? This will be a miserable trip for them. If we are to believe that stewards (sorry, wrong term, can't think of the right one!!) account, Kate will be drugged up asleep, the kids will be drugged up for what was it? 21 hours?? Yet still vomiting, will Kate remember a change of clothes for them this time? Will she sit on her royal ass & let everyone handle the situation or actually handle her kids this time? Will they be made to sit in wet clothes for a long plane ride, while Kate, hopped up on Ativan, gets to peacefully relax the whole time?

And when they get there, how much walking will the kids have to do? How many re-takes? Of course, we are speculating. This trip may not happen. But, usually, what Kate wants, Kate gets. Spoiled rotten...I have a blog, maybe I should mention the fact that I have always wanted to visit Colorado, or Seattle, or Australia, or the sick kids of Namimbia(sp), or go help in Haiti...Hmmm...then I'd get funded too?

This is a little bit off topic, but with the Christmas/holiday season - I thought it is appropriate. I read this (info from Church [Catholic] & being that Khate claims to be a Christian):

"Watch how the thought of fame or gold moves men.

What sufferings they will endure for a mere chance of earthly gain. And in the end, though disappointed themselves, they will fill the minds of their children with the same longings for worldly success, ...."

I immediately thought of Khate & what she is doing to herself and her children.

We're snowed in here in NH as well (I think we got between 10-12 inches). Thank God hubby put studded snow tires on our SUV. I didn't slip or slide once! Although I still had to come to work :-(. A bit of advice, if you have a 4wd vehicle, don't tell your boss. Then they always expect you to make it in to work when it snows!! LOL.

As far as Kate going to Austria,Austrailia or Tazmania, it all boils down to one thing, the poor kids are once again being dragged around somewhere they don't care about so Mommy can prance around in front of a camera. Is it any wonder these kids look sad all the time in pictures?

Let us all have a communal prayer and pray that 2011 will be the year when the Gosselin 8 are released from their mother's shackles once and for all!

Kate plus 8 needs to move to the Travel Channel. That is all they do now and it is like watching paint dry. Watching 8 kids melt down (through no fault of their own -- they're very young) and watching that shrew scream and yell and whine and to call that entertainment is just beyond me. I mean, seriously, how did it ever get to the point that every single show has to have them traveling to some foreign spot. So first you get to see them gathering and flying and getting off the plane and walking through the airport (yawn). Then they arrive and are exhausted (yawn). Kate has a lot of meltdowns (double yawn). Then they get wherever they are going and you get to watch 8 kids climbing all over something with Kate talking in the background (barf). I mean, where does entertainment come into this scenario, seriously? Is there nothing better people can watch than this joke of a woman that calls herself a mother? And if she is trying to take the kids out of the country without Jon's knowledge why is he not beating down the doors at the courthouse to file some sort of papers to stop her. At this point, he is the only one who can stop her. He needs to press this home every chance he gets. Frustrate the hell out of her. A controlling freak needs to be thwarted every chance you get. In the end the kids always pay. Hope the sheeple are enjoying watching the destruction of children all the while saying we don't have the right to tell Kate how to raise her children. So, by that mentality, if you see children being abused you should look the other way? I just don't get it.

I think we all know these people. When you see little Johnny riding his bike in the middle of the street without his helmet and you express worry where his parents are, they tell you to mind your own business. I think so much of it really is projection. They do not want anyone questioning their bad parenting choices or bad behavior, they don't like the idea of people talking about them, so they defend Kate to the death when people call her out on her bad choices, imagining how they would feel in her shoes.

Thank God for other people saying something when a parent screws up. I believe my mother saved a toddler's life when she saw that toddler left alone in a hot car at the grocery store and she called the cops on her mother. She could have minded her own business, she chose not to.

My cousin is an AP History teacher and he directs the school plays. This year he's doing something different he's going to do three one-act plays, one of them is going to be a Twilight Zone episode. I think it's super creative. Anyway the subject of Twlight Zone came up and my dad was telling us how much he loved that show. Then he told us about this one episode about a guy who was winning every bet he made, winning every contest, always had success in everything he did, was wealthy, everything went right for him. And in the end, he found out he was in hell.......the lack of variety in his life, the fact that there was nothing to ever overcome, did indeed lead to a hellish existance. Then my other cousin remarked that she wondered if that was why many celebs turned to drugs, there was no variety. It was an interesting point. I really think that is a big reason why celebrity kids have such difficulty, they are not experiencing the ups and downs of life that build character and teach life lessons and add spice to life. No one ever wishes bad things on people, but a life where everything is perfect isn't necessarily the "best" life either.

Admin, I too wondered if Kate threw out Austria as a hint and it morphed into Australia somehow. Even Austria would be daunting. I was there last year, trained from Munich to Salzburg. Best case, since they're east coast, they could fly on Lufthansa (to avoid Heathrow, which is a nightmare) to get to Frankfurt, and then take a hop to Salzburg or Vienna. That would be about 8-9 hours. But even so, boarding/loading and then getting off, gathering your bags to go through customs and immigration is a chore, and then you are looking around wondering what to do next because hellooooooooo, everything is in German! It takes a bit to get your bearings, and it was just us two adults traveling. And we travel all the time, but it can still be stressful. She would die, even with all her handlers taking care of the kids. I just don't see it happening.

Anyway, re:picture of Khate and her being one of the biggest jerks of the year. Narcissists don't care AT ALL what other people think, Kate has even said those very words. In their world they are always right no matter what and rarely are their feelings hurt. When they are it's usually not justified in reality. In my experience I learned to just say I was sorry even if I had no idea what the heck the problem was or what I did. Heck, I spent time apologizing for what my mom thought her sister did to her, because never ever would my mother have done something to offend. If people felt offended by her, well, that was their problem. It was a tough life...I would've given up the material goods we had growing up in a heartbeat. My mom was a Master manipulator and could instill guilt in us kids that has, for some of my siblings to this day. I only broke free when my husband got me to see the light. To Khate, Khate is God's gift to the world, and, if you can't see that, oh well...

Climb Every Mountain, I guess chore is not the right word, but it can be a hassle, especially if several planeloads arrive at the same time and they are short on agents, and you've waited 30 minutes to unload (especially at Heathrow and then you have to wait for a bus too!). I don't speak much German but still didn't have any problems; however, she'd still be surrounded by 8 tired little kids, mountains of luggage, etc. It's a foreign country; I've been to airports all over the world and that minute when you enter the general area is sometimes a wakeup call, especially after a long, long trip. Eh, who am I kidding? If she hasn't had a wakeup call yet, she never will. Never mind! I just hope her ingratitude doesn't get rewarded with another trip.

I'm happy for you that everything went so well. I don't know if Kate speaks any foreign languages so, although you felt at home, it's difficult if you don't speak the language.

And traveling, no matter how enlightening, education and interesting it can be is exhausting for adults. For little kids who would rather be home playing with their friends, (those lucky enough to be allowed to have them!), it's not so fun.

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!

I saw Jon tweeted that he "had" a great Christmas with his kids at around 8:00 on Christmas Eve. Guess that means he got Christmas Eve afternoon and Kate got Christmas Eve evening and Christmas morning and Christmas Day. Boy, that sounds fair!

I hate to say it, but I really don't see things getting better for the Gosselin kids in 2011. The more I've seen and learned about Kate, I'm starting to think being on TV is the least of their troubles. Even off TV, they are stuck with Kate as their primary, custodial parent. That appears to be far more damaging that being on TV is. So sad.

And as far as Kate and TLC go, I don't see them parting ways anytime soon. Kate is still pulling in over a million viewers per episode. They could cut her pay by 90% and take her down to $25,000 per episode and trim the schedule back to eight specials per year. That's still $200,000 per year which is far more than she'd make elsewhere. Until TLC decides they are done, Kate's going nowhere.

If she gets paid for organizing Kate's new kitchen, fine, but I believe she's one of those "servant Christians" we say every Christian should be. I think she would go out of her way to keep Kate as a friend because she realizes Kate needs a friend rather than because she wants limelight time or a paycheck.
I think she is raising her daughter to also be a "servant Christian" who is willing to drop what she's doing, leave her family, and go help
a cranky mom deal with 8 kids and give those kids a big dose of love.

Just my opinion.

Ok I'm going to jump on the speculation bus...if it were true that TLC was taking Kate and the kids on a 21 hour flight, do you think they'd get a private jet instead of sending them on a commercial airline? The twins told Ashley a long time ago that they just could not take filming anymore and Ashley told them, "it was [their] cross to bear." Nice thing to say to children who are being abused. Ashley goes to Liberty University, the school Jerry falwell founded. Bubbles, even if TLC did charter a plane, the passengers would still be required to go through the same immigration/customs/security procedures (and would require visas if they were going to Australia) as everyone else. And if you do not fly direct, that can be daunting because it involves yet another trip through security, after flying all night and then waiting in the other lines! It would not make things much easier and it would be UBER-expensive! I just hope all these things are rumors gone amock.

Mimi to 3 said...

I go back and forth on Carla. I think, fidosmommy, you're maybe right about the 'servant Christian'. Her blog is full of her Christian beliefs and she seems very sincere. But I also have to think it is about the money and perks she gets that she remains in Kate's life. After all, the kitchen Kate had ripped out of her house as soon as she moved in went to Carla. She showed pictures on her blog of what the cabinets looked like in her house and mentioned they came from Kate. So, she gets Kate's cast offs, which were in great shape to begin with, but we all know Kate has to have THE best and she is on the occasional show and Ashley is paid as a nanny even when she is not shown on the actual show. I just don't believe that you can have this long contact with Kate -- the only one that has remained involved -- and not clearly see what Kate is like. So I tend to think it is all about the money and the fame for Ashley.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

That's what obsessed alienators do they don't want the other parent to enjoy any holiday with the children. They are most happy with a no contact order with the other parent, but since usually the judge doesn't allow it, they nontheless do whatever they can to sabatoge holiday visits, and all visits, anyway.

We've heard of many classic alienation moves from Kate: forcing Jon to drop the children off at the end of the driveway like a JCPenney package, taking Thanksgiving both years and Christmas both years (if I were Jon's attorney I would throw an absolute fit over that and I'd have most judges on my side), reportedly wanting New Year's too when it's already been assigned to Jon. Claiming on national TV him being with the kids is a "new" thing and that she waits by the phone for the kids to call to go home. She fits the alienation mode just like she fits the narcissist mode.

Carla and Ashley may be phony Christians and may be out to make a buck off of Kate, but to label Ashley as wanting to destroy our Constitutional rights simply because she is a LU student lacks insight and is intolerant of conservative values taught at many Christian universities.

Every year LU graduates a class of intelligent, motivated, caring, young people and to characterize them all as being indoctrinated to "take away any rights we are afforded by our constitution" is misleading, radical, and simply UNTRUE.

I have 2 relatives who graduated from LU. I have attended social events with their large circles of friends and find them to be wonderful examples of the people I hope DO guide our country for the next generations. These people are bright, motivated, career oriented individuals who care about giving back to their communities and to others. I wish I could say the same thing about way too many HS and college grads who lack direction and motivation and look for a hand-up rather than put their hand-out to help others.

You obviously don't agree with Rev. Falwell's beliefs or his politics or his university's teachings or rules, but please don't brand LU's students to be robots who can't and don't think for themselves. Perhaps spending time getting to actually know a few of them before you describe them in such an intolerant and narrow minded manner might be refreshing.

If he has the kids on certain holidays why on Earth would he accommodate Kate? If I was in that situation I would insist that I have my kids on my days, no if, ands, or buts. If you fly through a hub such as Heathrow or Frankfurt, the two busiest airports in Europe (not directly to the city you are visiting), you go through customs/immigration, and then you make your way to your gate (often waiting for and taking a bus to get there), and even though you have never left the secure area, you go through security again. Period.

Your trip was a piece of cake. I'm so happy for you. Kate would be traveling with eight children and she did NOT teach German for years. Again, so very happy for you, but where is the relevance?
I just paid $50 to have my car dug out of feet of snow so I am just a tad snarky. Sorry!!

******************

Blizzards can be nightmares, especially if you have to pay someone in order to be able to get your car out for travel. I'm sorry! Been there, done that.

My comments weren't meant to minimize any problems Kate would encounter traveling with eight children. I only pointed out, in response to Fido's comments, that I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have any problems. Of course Kate would have to deal with security/immigrations. Any traveling out of the country would possibly involve headaches, but I would hope that she would have lots of help, and I certainly wouldn't want to do it with eight young children, with or without help. Knowing her, wouldn't she insist that TLC would send along a translator, or can't she think that far ahead?
Again, sorry for your car-shoveling expenses, and let's hope the rest of the week goes by without any unexpected snow (or expenses!) for you.

Actual holiday? Who cares? said...

I'm really surprised at how hung up on "actual day" so many people seem to be. I have a job that requires workers 365 days a year. My days off are Friday and Saturday. This year I got lucky with Christmas and New Year's. I ALWAYS work Thanksgiving, Easter, the Monday holidays, etc. My husband has a traditional work schedule with weekends and holidays off. We celebrate around my work schedule. My kids completely believe that Santa works with working parents and doesn't mind coming to some houses a day (or three) early. I REALLY don't think my kids will be scarred for life because we rarely celebrate holidays on the actual day. If custody was an issue for me, I would want my kids on my days off WAY more than on the actual holiday. This is likely not the case with Jon, but maybe he doesn't care about actual day and it just wasn't a worthwhile fight.

I don't know why I'm hung up on posting on this speculated 'trip', but I'll just end by saying that I hope it doesn't happen. Nobody can identify with this family anymore, nor that mother, and people are not deriving any joy from watching her get life handed to her on that golden platter she spoke of, when she does nothing to deserve it, doesn't seem to appreciate anything, and the kids are too young to really, really appreciate a lot of things they've seen (or were denied any fun at the locales that were geared just for them). If anything, they resent having the reminder that they cannot afford such things (and no, they are not jellus) thrown in their faces all the time. They can't relate to pulling up to the UPS store in their free van and parking in the fire lane to pick up boxes of freebies in $300 shoes. They can't relate to being driven hundreds of miles in a limo for a haircut. They can't relate to having someone take care of all their kids' needs while they stand by and complain. This family is just not relevant for entertainment. They need to be off the air and the kids need to live normal, private lives.

Being a Servant means giving up oneself to others. Carla and Ashley seem to be doing that. I don't believe they are making money off the Gosselin children. I don't condone anyone who may be trying to live off the Gosselin fortune. And if I may be so bold, I do recall an episode where it was Ashley leading those kids in a mealtime prayer. Not Kate.

I truly believe that Ashley's heart is good. I don't believe that Kate is living up to all her self-promoted "Christian-hype". And I am highly offended by the comment made by "Carla and Ashley are Liars said... " about Liberty University. It's a well rounded school with a heart to do God's Will. NOT take over anyone's rights.

I went to a very Christian school and before that a very secular school. There were people of all walks of life at both schools. I don't think anyone can find a school that aligns 100% with what they believe, that is sort of part of the point of college to expose yourself to new ideas. I know I wouldn't like Liberty but that's why I didn't go there. Just as Hustler won its lawsuit against Fawell in the name of free speech, Fawell is allowed to set up a university around HIS values, free speech.

One of my close friends from high school who was extremely religious went there, and ended up transfering to a different school a few years later. He came out shortly after that.

*****************

I agree with everything you've written. This is how we see it. However, what keeps HER relevant is Kate behaving badly. It's turned from the "I can relate to that" surviving multiples, watching struggling mom care for children phenomenon, to seeing exactly how vile she can be. That's what keeps her on television. The morphing from a normal, frazzled wife and mother to a pseudo-diva and whiner...the one who irritates, disgusts and evokes not sympathy or admiration, but disgust.
Does that make sense?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I am also very torn about the Ashley/Carla situation. The problem with Kate is even if Ashley and Carla have a problem with it, if they try to tell Kate, you know exactly where they are going: the black hole. They can plant some rose bushes alongside Aunt Jodi.

People who question Kate get estranged. Permanently. People who get in the narcissist's way are trampled. If Ashley and Carla do anything now all it will mean is two more people the children love and trust will be ripped from their lives. That is definitely not a good thing. They are walking a fine line between supporting child exploitation and trying to stay in their lives as some sort of third party keeping an eye on things they can turn to other than Kate.

Then why blab on a blog about your relationship with a "celebrity?" You just keep quiet and be a servant, leading the family in prayer, not showing off Kate's cast-away kitchen cabinets or chronicling your daughter's trips with the family. That just seems so pretentious.

Not making money off the children? Giving up oneself to others? Neither of them is being paid? Wow...that really is being a true, unselfish servant!

I think the more people you take, such as in Kate's case: 8 kids, nannies, production crew, security, all those other people. Is ALL that really necessary? I mean I would simply wish to tear out my hair with all that extra fuss! But I'm impatient when it comes to doing things. I am the type if you go into a store, you go get what you need a leave, I hate people who have to browse...no meaning to offend anyone but its just me.

I just linked to the Roose site about Liberty U.
I looked at the partial list of required reading. That is hardly difficult reading. It is not theology as much as it is contemporary church material. There is emphasis on Scripture, but no connection with any kind of
solid theology. One can read the Scriptures and go off on one's own tangent with it unless it is tempered by some historical theological base. Where these classes go with it will depend on the professor and the administration.

There is a place for this, for sure, but I'm very uncomfortable with it. It's simply not a formula I'm familiar with in my religious education and worship. They are not out to please me, but to please God.

I wouldn't say Carla has blabbed much lately, but what she does do is drop little hints. For instance talking about Ashley disappearing for some odd days. She did this for the Alaska trip which is how people sleuthed it out.

If you're going to tell a washed out reality TV star story, own it. What she does is drop a hint that SOUNDS like something is up and probably sits back and waits for her friends to ask where Ashley is going! Then she gets to blab to them and spill the beans and feel good about herself for having this connection.

Like those people who say things like oh gosh I had such a terrible, terrible week! And leave it at that. You know they cannot wait for you to ask them about it. And they're not the kind of person you ever want to ask.

It's not exactly that I'm hung up on the actual day, it's that Kate has apparently made it her mission to be sure she grabs all THOSE days from Jon. It's just another example of an obsessed alientor trying to nickel and dime the other parent for everything they can. Want Christmas? Too bad I'm having it--every year. Jon apparently is not hung up at all on the day and, as seen by his tweets and the pap photos, has been taking the day before or the day after most major holidays for two years now. If anyone is hung up on the actual day, it appears to be KATE, who seems intent on making sure she gets each...and....every holiday on the actual day.

I don't have a problem with anything being celebrated on a different day close to the actual, unless you are lying to a child about what day it is to get a genuine reaction out of them for filming purposes.

We can continue the conversation if people keep it calm.

I'm just throwing it out there, but I found that the secular university "pushed" some of their viewpoints on me far more than the very Christian university I also attended, in which I never felt pressured or pushed in any way at any time to take part.

I remember getting into a debate once with some kid of a poetry professor over 9-11 that just made me want to roll my eyes, and that grade was the only one I ever complained to the dean about in college. There was a direct correlation between the conservatives in the class and poorer grades.

You can push things on people that are not religion, and it's just as obnoxious.

___
Carla is one of Khate's phoney Christian friends who is just like her. She and Ashley see the opportunity to make a buck and are taking it. The twins told Ashley a long time ago that they just could not take filming anymore and Ashley told them, "it was [their] cross to bear." Nice thing to say to children who are being abused. Ashley goes to Liberty University, the school Jerry falwell founded. The mission of the school is to send out graduates into the world to create a christian-dominated world and take away any rights we are afforded by our constitution.

********************

I'd hoped the issue of Ashley being a Liberty University student wouldn't end in a Falwell and LU bashing, but I should have known better.

Some narcissists love ANY kind of attention, even if it's negative, although clearly they would rather be given the praise they believe - correction - KNOW is due to them!

Other narcissists go into a rage when criticized in any way. Many are like this, but can also be delusional and refuse to see or hear the criticism. They see and hear only what they want to see and hear.

Ok I'm going to jump on the speculation bus...if it were true that TLC was taking Kate and the kids on a 21 hour flight, do you think they'd get a private jet instead of sending them on a commercial airline? It would make the flight easier (no "commoners" to disturb) but also make it easier to be secretive (no "commoners" to observe the kids getting their Benadryl while Kate is zonked out!)

I'm having my husband drive my "sorry little butt" (as he calls it when I ask for a ride) around in his big truck! Glad he's on vacation! I hope the G kids are having one. They deserve it after all the filming they've done so far this year.

That is so funny Hippie that you are a New Hampshire-ite too. Howdy!! Where do you hail? I'm in Concord. I think my snow totals are wrong. My boss (whose been out in the snow shoveling and plowing all day) said 6-7 inches. It's hard to tell with all the drifting.

And I agree, I hope the G kids get a vacation too. These poor kids. I hope someday someone is able to have a successful intervention for them on their behalf.

The Gosselins' next trip will be to Australia and New Zealand over the New Year's break. I bet Steve will be along for that trip.

I had no problem whatsoever. Immigration was a breeze, and as for the German, well, I taught it for many years so I felt right at home!
She has so many helpers that I doubt she'd struggle with anything.

****

I'm happy for you that everything went so well. I don't know if Kate speaks any foreign languages so, although you felt at home, it's difficult if you don't speak the language.

And traveling, no matter how enlightening, education and interesting it can be is exhausting for adults. For little kids who would rather be home playing with their friends, (those lucky enough to be allowed to have them!), it's not so fun.

How Carla as a Mother can justify any of the filming is beyond me.

$$$$$$$$ For some people, money speaks louder than good parenting. For some people, they are hanger-oners to "celebrities" for bragging rights. Both may be true in that case.

Admin, I'm with you about intervening when it deems appropriate. I would have done the same thing if I saw a child in a hot car. If I see a dog in a hot car, I call the cops. Leave your damn dogs at home in the hot weather! Also, my not-so-bright friend lets her 10 yr. old ride a bike w/out a helmet all the time. When he comes w/ us on the bike trail, I always insist he bring his helmet, she always says "I never make him wear a helmet" Ya, well, 1st of all, anything happens to YOUR kid under our care, I could never forgive myself, 2nd, it's the law, dummy.

Ups and Downs said...

I think the Gosselin kids are exposed to a whole lot of ups and downs in their young lives.

Actually when it came out that another network had shown interest in Kate but ultimatly passed allegedly because of her bad press, I wondered if it might be some kind of travel oriented network like Travel or Food Network looking to do a travel show.

Mimi to 3 said...

Trucker said...

I truly believe that if Kate took the kids out of the country Jon would be notified. Maybe he really does know. And one thing for sure, he COULD nip this rumour in the bud...

Sound of Music works for Kate said...

http://blogs.discovery.com/kate/

kate started the rumor about leaving the country. She says "Austria" on her blog.

So she really didn't want to spend quality time with her kids. She wanted another freebie and opportunity to exploit her kids and make them work.

BostonBonnie said...

I feel pity for those children because assuming they are not on a plane somewhere they are probably locked into their house with that witch!

Please someone take pity on them and remove them from that woman's control.

Snowed in in Boston but at least Kate is not here with me!

AuntieAnn said...

Maybe TLC is footing the bill so they can film in Australia and then ratclaws is taking the whole G clan on a little side trip to NZ to meet the family.

As for a brutalizing 21 hour flight for the kids, since when has that ever stopped Kate before? She doesn't look after them anyway and if there's money involved she'd fly them through the gates of hell to get it.

Administrator said...

Like I said I think when Kate was trolling for a do re me trip to Austria it was mistaken for Australia. Like the telephone game.

Administrator said...

Bubbles said...

Sorry about that; let me clarify. I actually don't know anything about Tabatha; what I meant was it's hard to take her seriously when it comes to bashing Kate, because she looks so much like Kate. Her color is not normal, it looks like she's had some plastic surgery on her face, and her hairstyle wouldn't be my first choice. I will look up the info on her accomplishments so I know more about her. I think I've heard good things about the Salon Takeover show, if it's the one I am thinking of.

Administrator said...

Yes excellent bearswife. Explains why anyone would so staunchly defend a woman they have never even met. Kate didn't ask for their help and probably never will.

Aeris...I LOVE "The Ring" analogy! Too funny!! When people read it, their face gets all twisty & weird, & then they die laughing because it's too dumb for words!

"My name is Kate, I have 6, I mean, 8 kids. One has glasses which sucks because I wanted 8 perfect kids, but what are ya gonna do? (except Maddy & Cara, they don't make me any $$)" The END.
