Kate on Sarah Palin preview

The infamous camping trip finally makes it to T.V.

Kate complains...

And Sarah's face is so familiar. Oh, it's the face we all have made when watching Kate.

I have ATT u-verse, and the DVR guide says the following:

SHE'S A GREAT SHOT
As winter is approaching, Sarah decides it is time to replenish her freezer and embarks on a hunting trip with her father and a friend in which they travel north of the Arctic Circle and 500 miles from the city in order to find caribou.

Are we being duped again? It says the same thing on the TLC website. No mention of the Gosselins...very odd!

Too bad, so sad. Hope it flops in the flippin water. Wish Sarah Palin could tell what she really thinks of Kate G., don't you?

I think Sarah's face tells us how she feels about her. And yes bait and switch AGAIN....this was NOT advertised last week. Today, Friday, no more than two days before it airs, is the first ever mention we heard that it would air SUNDAY.

We only heard yesterday it was 2 weeks. Does TLC really have no clue what to do with Kate anymore, this juggling is very bad.

RE: Kate Gosselin in Sarah Palin's Alaska

From Reuters - "Sarah Palin's ratings recover a little from slide":

"The Alaska episode to watch will be in two weeks, when Kate Gosselin guest stars."

http://tv.yahoo.com/news/article/tv-news.en.reuters.com/tv-news.en.reuters.com-20101201-us_palin

----------

Today, media is reporting that Kate will appear on this Sunday's Sarah Palin's Alaska episode.

HOWEVER, checked the TLC tv listings for Palin's show and saw this:

Dec 05, 9:00 pm
(60 minutes)

Sarah Palin's Alaska
She's A Great Shot
TV-PG (LV)

Sarah's freezer is almost empty and winter is approaching. She embarks on an epic caribou hunting trip with her father, Chuck and friend Steve Becker. They travel 500 miles from the nearest city, above the Arctic Circle, in search of a caribou for food.

Dec 12, 9:00 pm
(60 minutes)

Sarah Palin's Alaska
Episode 5
TV-PG

Sarah welcomes Kate Gosselin and her children to Alaska. To prepare for a camping trip with the kids, Sarah takes Kate to a bear safety class for rifle practice. Then Kate and the kids experience the wilderness braving the challenges of camping in Alaska.

As of when this is posted, TLC's weekly schedule still has the original episode, "She's a Great Shot" listed for this Sunday.

Last Sunday's next week's previews did not show Kate Gosselin but rather caribou hunting with her father, which corresponds to the episode descriptions above.

Has the media been misinformed about Kate's appearance in hopes of garnering more ratings for Palin's show, which has slipped in ratings even with a slight increase last week? (Like TLC did last week with Sister Wives/Kate Plus 8 tv listings confusion.) Draw viewers in thinking they'll see Kate Gosselin on this episode but discover, only later in previews, that she's actually appearing the following week.

Or, has TLC decided to switch the episodes while the Gosselin media train is still hot? In which case, why haven't they updated their weekly schedule/tv listings for Sarah Palin's show to reflect these changes?

Denise said...

My online TV guide shows this for Sunday the 12th:

Sarah welcomes Kate Gosselin and her big brood to Alaska. They plan a camping adventure in the wilderness and Sarah helps Kate prepare by bringing her to a bear safety class for rifle practice.

Gosselin Gossip said...

Just went to the link of the preview from another Gosselin blog.

The preview states that the episode will air December 5th.

However, if you read the rest of the article attached with the preview, it says:

"UsMagazine.com has the exclusive first peek at Kate Gosselin's Alaskan camping trip with Sarah Palin.

Naturally, hilarity ensues.

"I have never camped for real," Gosselin, 35, admits in the above clip, which shows the reality mom hiking through the woods with her eight kids, crying for decent camp food and grimacing as she watches Palin, 46, shoot a rifle.

The great outdoors gets to be too much for Gosselin when she learns that bears may be lurking nearby.

Says Palin, "She's going to be relying on me to protect her."

See how the entire trip unfolds: Watch Sarah Palin's Alaska on TLC Dec. 12 at 9 (8c)."

So when it is, TLC?

Stop fooling your viewers just to increase ratings.

I have a problem with this. What is it? Kate's attitude. She's tiered, she's never really been campting, she's hungry. Oh my goodness!! Its not that hard! Personally sounds like she makes camping appear harder than it is. I have been camping numerous times and its fun. She's just whinning.

My daughter found this and I thought it was funny enough, and sadly true enough, to share. It's from a site called Cracked and the author was discussing the newest horrifically in bad taste show coming out called "Bridalplasty."

"Reality TV is designed to make people famous for being famous. They take awful people who already have inflated senses of entitlement, and then they point cameras in their faces and say "What you think is important!" And Bridalplasty has the worst of the worst, and it just makes me so tired. Because I know it's only a matter of time before one of these people becomes a pop culture buzzword. Whoever wins or otherwise stands out on this show will be a name that people like me, people who love and write about pop culture, will be forced to read over and over and over again. A year from now, one of these knife-happy harpies is going to be on Dancing With the Stars, or Celebrity Apprentice, or maybe they'll be doing an interview on The View, or they'll get a DUI, who knows? Maybe they'll have their own dating show on VH1 when their marriages eventually dissolve. Maybe the winner will create some new show where she and Kate Gosselin purchase an orphanage and make the kids compete against each other for food. The winner gets adopted by Kate and the loser... also gets adopted by Kate?"

Sarah Palin, how desperate are you? Kate Gosselin, really? said...

If Sarah Palin ever becomes president, we know who won't be invited to the White House dinner. She'll have to attend, Salahi-style!

From Palin's look above, Kate burned that bridge on this trip. What a way to treat your host who invited you on a camping trip!

Did you see this comment on JustJared on the Today show interview:

"Oh Kate, you forgot that Alexis and Collin were hitting the other kids, throwing things around that could hurt the kids and teacher. You would not sit still, you did not know how to socialize, so you kept hitting. This went on for a month, then Collin and Alexis ganged up on another child who was injured. The Counselors stepped along with the Private Attorneys for the School Board and had the children “refused to admit and cannot return to the school”

Question Katie the Queen on that. Kate was accused of not bonding with her children by the school counselor as the other tups also have problems with socialization and not hitting.

Very sad situation she has created, she should move out, give the children to Jon. She can take them to film and that way she stays in the limelight and out of their lives and they can grow up with a parent who loves them and bonded with them."

Obviously, we don't know if this is factual, but I wouldn't be surprised if the locals aren't going to start getting more than a little P.O'd to see Kate lying on national TV, or possibly even school staff.

Just keep digging that hole, Kate.

Chingada said...

The fallout continues. i found a Kate Gosselin reference on Cracked.com which isn't a gossip site at all, but rather a somewhat dorky humor site. In an article about a trashy new reality show called Bridalplasty, the write wonders what will come of people who are famous for being famous. He speculates:

"Maybe they'll have their own dating show on VH1 when their marriages eventually dissolve. Maybe the winner will create some new show where she and Kate Gosselin purchase an orphanage and make the kids compete against each other for food. The winner gets adopted by Kate and the loser ... also gets adopted by Kate?"

Then there is a photo of Kate Gosselin in her wedding renewal gown with a caption that reads "There is nothing easier than finding a picture of Kate Gosselin looking scary as shit"

This woman has no idea that she's a joke and that people hate her.

That is, IF TLC chooses to air this episode with Koo-Koo Katie in it.

As for me, I would much rather read the recap here than watch anything with that psycho in it.

Speaking of psycho, Kate is so damn rude. What the heck did she expect from CAMPING?

Personally, I think Sarah Palin was way too nice to Kate. I would have kicked her entitled ass out off my campsite, and made her find her own way back to civilization. The nerve of certain people....

See?... that's why I can't tune in to watch that monstrosity whine on Sarah Palin's show.

Chingada said...

I really don't like Sarah Palin so I haven't been tuning in to her show, but I HAVE to see how this camping trip goes down. If Kate can make Sarah Palin look likable in comparison (to me at least), then that Kate has some real problems!

Boo hoo, I'm cold, I'm hungry. Bitch - you asked for all these free trips. What did you think camping in Alaska would be like? I bet she thought it would be like in Utah where she drank cocoa in a luxury resort while other people watched the kids. She's a real piece of work!

Seems like TLC is done trying to make her seem anything CLOSE to likable and human.

It reminds me of people in relationships who want to break up, but they're too afraid to do so because the other person will freak out, so they act in more and more unbecoming ways and treat the other person horribly in hopes that the person they want to end things with will get fed up and do the dumping.

In this case it seems as if TLC wants to break up but they're hoping Kate will be the one who flounces off into the sunset if they treat her poorly enough. Won't happen that way though--she has really good lawyers, no ethics, and no sense of dignity.

LOL.....I was just listening to a radio interview with Kelli Finglass, the director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and producer of DCC: Making The Team.

She was saying that one of the first things they have to do with 18,19,20 year old girls coming into training camp is to teach them etiquette, and watching them come into camp chomping on gum is one of the most unlady-like things they have to nip in the bud right away.

Her point was, chomping on gum is tacky and classless, and their squad must exude etiquette and poise.

I immediately thought of Kate, a 35 year old grown woman, who is constantly seen smacking and chomping on her wad of gum. No class. Zero etiquette.

My husband and I have been watching Sarah's show. We love the scenes of Alaska (been there twice, what a gorgeous state!!). While we're not fans of Sarah running for President, we respect her hunting and fishing skills, her ability with a firearm etc...My father tried to get me to be an "outdoorswoman" when I was younger, but I was more interested in my Barbie Airplane LOL. (Does anyone remember those?).

But anyway, not sure if we'll watch the disaster of Kate going camping. One poster hit the nail right on the head. Sarah and her family were hosting the Gosselins on this trip. The fact that Kate was having one of her infamous meltdowns was extremely rude to her hosts. Not a great example to set for her children.

Sorry to be so wordy, but when I moved back home after my divorce, my father and I started taking yearly fishing trips up to Maine. We went into the North Woods and we would go to remote areas that no one else knew about to fish. Northern Maine in July is a challenge due to the swarms of black flies and mosquitos. Plus a lot of the areas we went to were so off the beaten path we'd schlep through mud to get to where the fish were. I really hated all the pests swarming around my head and the mud, the smelly fish, wiggly worms etc... But I never once complained to my father. It made him so happy to take me fishing with him. He would get so excited as July would approach.

My father passed away in 2002 and to this day I miss our fishing trips. I would give all my money and everything I have to have for just one more fishing trip with him. Despite my discomfort and irritation with the bugs, all that really mattered was that I made an elderly man happy and in the end, we had fun.

Kate will never recognize the lost opportunities she has been given. Her children will never have fond memories of trips with their mother. She manages to ruin everything. Instead of making all these trips and adventures fun, she has to ruin it for everyone there.

Mark Burnett, the well-known and very successful producer of Survivor and The Apprentice (and others) is the producer of Sarah's Alaska show. Therefore, if Maddy was shaken hard by Kate or if Kate was a total ass & bitch, then Mark witnessed it or certainly heard about it. Mark would have spread it around to Donald Trump and everyone else in Hollywood. Yeah!!! The word is spreading around fast about Kate and all her antics. 2011 may very well bring Kate to her knees.

It sounds like those trips ultimately made you happy, too. Great story and just a glimpse at the biggest thing lacking in the lives of this family - especially the kids: REAL, actual family moments and memories.

My kids love camping, I take them probably 5 weekends a year. Even though its not the same as a Hawaii Trip when it comes to accommodations the memories, laughs and quality time together are just as great, if not better.

Sitting around the campfire with one of the kids on your lap, roasting smores and telling stories. Boardgames by candle light or lantern with the fire crackling behind you (or NOT if its summer!) The Stars - wow!

Even food somehow tastes better on a camp stove.

Get a clue Mommie Dearest.
Camping is certainly not for everyone, but anyone with a 4th grade education knows what its going to be before committing to it.

It is not that kind of campground. It is acreage where camping RVs park for recreation, with electric hookups, water, etc. There is no roughing it in the wild. It's kind of a mobile home park for RVs. Kate didn't live there, didn't "camp" there, and most likely never even set foot there. She would have no reason to. She lived in the family home.

anon on this said...

The JustJared story, though badly written, is exactly true. There is much more than one incident.

Kate is barely in touch with reality at this point. While all the infamy has helped push her to this, she would likely have arrived at this unbalanced state sooner had it not been for all the work that has been done to keep her calm for filming. She was a train wreck before the 6 were even born.

She has been very angry with her kids for months for interferring with her rising star, and for causing her so much stress that she cannot concentrate on her career.

I am a sounding board for someone who is involved. I cannot bring myself to 'break' new news to you, but once it is broken, I can help keep you all on the right track with facts that are known to me.

This will all not end well. things with Kate will get worse before they calm down. She sees herself as being the sought-after hands-on mother of these kids until they are adults and that will be her claim to fame. She thinks she will constantly be in demand. She gave an interview a few months back where she called herself "a rare woman". She completely believes that, and feels that persona will continue for a decade or more.

She has no concept whatsoever at this point of a home life and how to raise children. She has no desire to GET a CLUE. Someone will end up in a hospital before long, and I hope Kate is the only one.

Jon has heeded all the words to the wise, has actually found some common sense and the brainwashing of celebrity and of Kate has drifted away. Please be patient with Jon, if you care about the kids - he really is doing all he can within the law right now. I repeat - within the law.

Laura D., I agree with your sentiment. How will other Sarah Palin's Alaska viewers feel and/or react to this bait and switch tactic - inserting this Gosselin episode at the last moment?

There must be a good reason why 2.2 million viewers from Palin's show changed the channel once Kate Plus 8 started.

Is this last minute switch-up TLC's attempt to prevent those Palin viewers who purposely would avoid the Gosselin episode, if given advanced notice? (Assuming you are not aware of this switcheroo despite media attention, not to mention current tv listings still stating an episode related to last Sunday's previews.)

And, she did this in front of her children and a very well-known and well-connected REAL celebrity. (Not to mention millions of potential viewers.) She has no sense of proprity. She feels no responsibility to set an appropriate example for her children. Right -- these are trips of a lifetime where memories are made! Memories that scar her children for life.

Thanks Sport. It is true, the trips made me happy because it made my Dad happy.

Your children have the pleasure of the wonderful memories you've created for them. They will also take those memories and pass them on to their children.

You are right, the Gosselin children will never know what your family and my family know and cherish. It is really sad that their mother has jabbered on and on about "making memories" for them, but it's all a cover for her to travel to places without spending a dime. What kind of memories has she created for her children? Memories of a greedy mother who only shows them any attention when the cameras are on. Sad.

I was thinking the very same thing. It was posted by "Mary" on the JJ comment page. It sounds like a kid wrote it, or someone who needs to take a course in language skills. No parent at LCDS would write anything like that. "You would not sit still," etc. It's addressed to Kate. How ridiculous is that? The school board doesn't have "private attorneys." The president of the board of trustees IS a civil litigator.

"I would be the 1st parent responding to the Fame Ho's LIES. Maybe the school waived tuition for a year if the parents did not make a statement...who really knows."

I wouldn't respond. There are times when it's best to keep quiet and say nothing. Case in point: Jon. He's doing the right thing by not spilling everything (even though he very easily could). Things will come out in good time. Why call more attention to the school and keep this thing going? It could be said that she lied by omission, but it's a matter of he said/she said. To suggest that the school paid hush money (in the form of free tuition) for keeping it quiet is absolutely absurd, and yes, I really know. Nothing like that ever happened, or will happen.

It just seems that so many people have seen these children mistreated and have quietly slipped away without saying a word.

Best of luck to you and your friend. It must be terribly stressful to be so close to such a tragic situation.

I suspect that, unlike Kate, most of the parents at the children's school don't have a need to PROVE their child is not a bully, or prove they were the victim in this, or prove that Kate is lying about the whole situation, by speaking out and responding to all of Kate's lies.

They know the truth, they know their children are good kids and were victims, and they know the school handeled the situation by expelling them, even if the school doesn't use that word (notice this is exactly what Kate says, the school doesn't use "expel". Doesn't that imply that they DO expel they just don't call it THAT? A rose by any other name.)

Most parents, unlike Kate, do not have a need to prove to the world their children are great kids and that everything has been taken care of. Most parents, unlike Kate, want their child to be as private as possible.

About TLC and the tv listings: I have Dish satellite and my on screen guide says:

8 pm(ET): Sarah Palin's Alaska - "Salmon Run"
Sarah and Todd's July 4th family tradition is salmon fishing in Bristol Bay. (New episode/Episode 3)

9 pm(ET) Sarah Palin's Alaska - "She's a Great Shot"
Sarah goes on a caribou hunting trip with her father and friend above the Arctic Circle. (New episode/Episode 4)

Whatever the story is, I'm just glad Palin's ratings went up a bit last week so if they go up again a little this weekend, the credit can't go to Khate.

The JustJared story, though badly written, is exactly true. There is much more than one incident.

------------------

Yes, there is. The school doesn't demand withdrawal over just one incident, unless that incident is so severe that it has no choice. There are warnings given, parents are notified, the school keeps in touch every step of the way. However, when they have no other choice, the parents are told that the child cannot remain in school. It is not a "mutual decision."

I believe that all of this will be disclosed, and Kate will be called out on it. Just give it time. How she thinks she can get away with it by lying on national television is beyond me. Perhaps she thinks by not giving out details is not lying. She'll get her comeuppance.

I had a thought. Sarah Palin has some very rabid fans if I'm not mistaken. As rabid as sheeple. This could work quite well in our favor. Anyone who "crosses" Sarah, who is disrespectful to her, I imagine they will turn their wrath on her.

Kate could have just got herself a whole new base of detractors.

Irony...yes, like Admin, I too know how to use the word! It occurred to me when Maggie (above) commented that Mark Burnett is the producer of Sarah Palin's show... Wouldn't it be "ironic" if after all the lame attempts by TLC and Kate to turn her into some sort of STAR, this would be the program to truly take her out of the game. I have long thought that there must be genuine celebrities, booking agents, advertising company employees, PETA supporters, etc. who might read these blogs and the gossip rags from time to time. Now we're likely to see politicians and other interested parties peeping into Sarah's show to have a look. Kate - the jig is up hunny...you just cannot hide your true venom, self-entitlement, and ugliness. The more you're out there on the public airwaves, the more exposed the whole of America becomes to you. I predict there won't be a single door in tinsel-town with a welcome mat out for Kate very soon. Not to mention, a truly legitimate celebrity who would even consider working with her. Ironic...you wanted exposure - you got it. Now what??

Gosselin Gossip said...

Update from previous post upthread.

UsMagazine.com must have edited when the Gosselin episode appears on TLC.

While the preview clip still mentions December 5th, I noticed on preesi's site that she posted the same clip and article @12:52pm which stated:

"See how the entire trip unfolds: Watch Sarah Palin's Alaska on TLC Dec. 5 at 9 (8c)."

http://preesi.lefora.com/2010/12/03/video-first-look-kate-gosselin-goes-camping-with-s/

However, when I posted about the preview clip here @1:50pm, the article now states:

"See how the entire trip unfolds: Watch Sarah Palin's Alaska on TLC Dec. 12 at 9 (8c)."

http://www.usmagazine.com/moviestvmusic/news/first-look-kate-gosselin-goes-camping-with-sarah-palin-2010312

So UsMagazine.com made the correction on when the episode will air in their article but not in the preview clip (which media has picked up and ran with the date listed in the clip).

On TLC's twitter, their most recent tweet about Sarah Palin's Alaska was about the new promo for "She's a Great Shot" uploaded onto YouTube which is still listed as this Sunday's episode on TLC:

"New on YouTube: Sarah Palin's Alaska- She's a Great Shot http://ow.ly/1ah6tT"
2:29 PM Dec 2nd via HootSuite

Just trying to sort out this confusion/tv mess and help those Sarah Palin's Alaska viewers who do not want to watch the Gosselin episode.

This Sunday's episode might have a spike in ratings for those tuning-in to watch the Gosselins, even if it ends up being a non-Gosselin one instead.

Is the new Gosselin promo airing on TLC, for those who still watch that channel? Or, is it the same promo from last Sunday?

Like we've all said a million times, this is why the children have socialization problems. This is their model, an ungrateful, rude, spoiled person.

You're right, Admin. They know nothing about graciousness, nothing about manners, nothing about respect for another person because they've never seen any of that from their mother. That in itself is tragic.

If things don't change soon (and we have no reason to believe that they will), they'll grow up to be Kate clones. But at least they will have been "cultured" from all of the trips that they didn't need and didn't want. Never mind that they don't have enough socialization or developmental skills to do well in Kindergarten. What's important is that they got to lie around in vomit on a fishing boat.

Ha ha, Michelle, good point. Yeah, Khate, this is your JOB, so suck it up and do it without bitching and moaning, especially for that big fat paycheck!

Admin - great point about Palin's fans not being happy with the way that Khate will probably come off in this episode. I was also thinking that I'm kind of glad this episode is airing because say what you will about Sarah Palin, she is not one to play it safe and be vague or diplomatic in what she says, (especially lately). If she doesn't have a good impression of Khate, I really do not think she will lie or be p.c. about it. So, I just hope to god that someone in the press asks Palin about this episode and Khate. I think if Khate really was the bitchy drama queen that we figure she likely was, Sarah Palin will let it rip if she's given the opportunity! Hmm, maybe people can ask Sarah about it on Facebook? I know she posts there, but does she ever answer people's questions there? Either way, it will be funny as hell if people start posting complaints about Khate on Palin's FB page after this episode airs.

Jlew, “She is being paid to get “Palin/Jon&Kate Plus 8 Divorce” ratings. If she can no longer break the 2 or 3 million mark then TLC will loose money. Isn’t that how TV business works?”

Whatever you *think* you know about the financial arrangements for the show, networks do not kill their *top* rated shows for *cost* reasons, they find a way to make them work. Kate Plus 8 is one of TLC’s top rated shows. The show isn’t going anywhere.

Jlew,

Is TLC disappointed that Kate’s ratings are down? Sure.
Is it still one of their top shows? Yes.
Will it be cancelled if it maintains its position? No.
Will lots of anti-fans return if I do a similar post each week with her latest ratings? I can only hope, and only time will tell. ;)

As I wrote this, this post was our 10th most visited of the day, and it didn’t get posted until after 2pm Eastern time.

----------

Kate Plus 8 will probably not be canceled unless ratings fall under one million for more than one episode and/or falls out of TLC's top ten most watched telecasts. The gradual decline isn't helping towards immediate cancellation, just prolonging how long the show stays on-air.

As for TLC "making it work", TLC most likely axed the big budget expenses such as plane trips, unless financially-sponsored, and reduced Kate's salary per episode.

Kate will never recognize the lost opportunities she has been given. Her children will never have fond memories of trips with their mother. She manages to ruin everything. Instead of making all these trips and adventures fun, she has to ruin it for everyone there.

I completely respect the TVBytheNumbers expertise but I'm not sure they are exactly correct here.
Of course it's about MONEY. Networks aren't there for their health, they are about money. If they had a travel show that cost multi-millions to produce and wasn't getting enough ratings to justify it, even if it were in the top whatever, the bottom line is it comes down to money and it has to make them money. I think he is right that they will TRY to make it work, for instance by cutting back on the trips. No Austria for you, Kate. But we're still talking about a rather expensive show to produce between the large "cast" and crew, Kate's salary, paying off Jon, lawsuits, the various locations, all the planning involved, Kate's bodyguard and nanny and upkeep expenses, and so on. But I just don't think it's true that the show isn't going anywhere--shows get the axe out of the blue all the time. The second those numbers aren't high enough in the green that's it. We need the ratings to continue to go in the right direction--down--and that's what they have been doing.

Kate Plus 8 is TLC's number 10 show is it not? I'm not sure I agree that is a "top" show. TLC only has so much original prime time programming. When I went to their web site I only counted about 20 prime time shows and of those only a handful are even airing new episodes right now. So that means Kate is what? About in the middle of the road, if that? Nothing to write home about.

If they are comparing this to ALL of TLC's show that is an unfair comparison. They really shouldn't compare it to daytime drivel.

Re: Kate's rudeness.

(Disclaimer: this is NOT true of all young people. Posters here probably can each point to 6 dozen young people the following does not apply to. I get that. However....)

It seems to me that rudeness is the new 'cool' in the younger set. Just watch any TV sitcom with kids in it and they are smart-alecks with attitude, feeling entitled to say whatever comes to mind. The ruder, the funnier. It has almost become a brand of youth in recent years.
There seem to be few filters in place. I see it recreated all over the place in real life.

Kate has been trying her best to be a 'young person' all over again. The clothes, the hair, the entitlement. So, she may think it is 'cool' to say whatever she wants and to come across as rude. By whining at Sarah Palin's accomodations, Kate is saying "I'm better than you are, I can put you down, I can gripe and complain all I like because it's part of my young person persona. And it's FUNNY! Do you feel properly put in your place yet? Cuz I've got more where that came from."

It's a bully tactic that sadly, her kids may be picking up on quite well.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I think older people can get nastolgic. Young people have always had moments of rudeness. It's part of testing boundaries, building social skills, becoming your own person. Most grow out of it and become lovely young men and women. I know far more not-so young people who are rude than young.

That said I do think you are right, I think Kate DOES think her who personality is cool, she has such a great personality everyone wants to tune in and see. Every person that watch just feeds her inflated ego. I think she has been told her "character" is awesome--the rude, mean, grating, demanding, big baby. I think she has been told to play it up, this is what sells. Lucky for her it comes naturally.

Laura D. said...

fidosmommy, I agree about young people being more rude than the last generation. Just today my 16-yr-old daughter was responding to something I'd said and she started saying, "Shut up..." but then put her hand over her mouth as she remembered who she was talking to. You might be right about Kate wanting to re-invent herself as a youngster, but at her age it's quite pathetic. Ironic how she didn't appreciate Jon trying to recapture his lost youth, dontcha think?

Kate doesn't have to wait for the future to see herself sad and lonely - it is already her present. She has no friends - only those on her/TLC's payroll. It's already been reported she has no friends to do things with. As Kate said about the kids and filming -- 'they're wonderful, everything is great' but it's that way only in her eyes. I don't believe she'll ever see the reality of her life or regret the choices she's made and she certainly will never admit to them.

----------

Could TLC also have possibly slashed Kate's salary per episode, in an effort to reduce the cost of the show? Additionally, they could have reduced the number of specials/episodes produced which is why they went from a weekly show back to their monthly/holiday(?) specials (aside from the kids in school full-time).

I agree with you that the ratings are going down, which doesn't bode well for Kate Plus 8. However, some of us complain when a new special is announced about why it isn't canceled yet despite low ratings, and his comment helped me understand why the end isn't coming soon enough (or as immediately as I would like).

If Kate Plus 8 maintains her current average (which is similar to other TLC shows' ratings), it only prolongs how much longer this show continues to stay on-air. These small gradual declines are not enough, even if ratings are heading in the right direction. It will probably need to fall under one million for an episode or more before it's canceled. In the meantime, how many more specials/episodes will air till then? One too many.

As for top rated show, he is speaking about the weekly viewership rank for TLC. The latest special was #7 on TLC for the week compared to #2/3 for the other specials airing 9/20 and 11/7. So Kate Plus 8 is slipping. (I think they count all shows that air on TLC for that week, including repeats, as a repeat episode of Kate Plus 8 was ranked #47.)

Jon deserves and should be able to speak for himself in a media setting, just like Kate does, to defend his actions and to answer every lie she has said about him.
&&&&&&&&&&&
Mimi, although it's infuriating that Kate has an open forum to trash Jon without him able to respond, I have to say I completely and totally disagree that Jon should defend himself. The best answer is silence. As someone else said, that drives a narcissist bananas--I think it's clear it already is making Kate bananas. The more silent he is the deeper she digs her hole. And it's much better for the children not to engage in her crap.

I've worked in family law my entire legal career, I've seen some MESSY breakups, right up there with this one. The constant he said, she said, back and forth, tit for tat, I'm the victim, no I am, does nothing but HURT, HURT, HURT the children involved. You will never convince the other parent they are wrong and you are right. All you do is make the children exist in a perpetual state of turmoil. I have seen this kind of thing go on five years or longer and the result is teenagers who are running away from home, having sex and getting pregnant, turning to drugs, and have no idea how to have normal healthy relationships, romantic or otherwise. It DESTORYS kids. That is not to say one parent should be a doormat, but they should definietly pick their battles and deal with the battles they do want to pick appropriately, quietly in court with good attorneys.

In almost EVERY single family law case in which there are one or both parents behaving like this, when I've convinced my client to stop the madness, things have slowly but surely turned around in their favor. Every...single....one.

Jon lost the battle(s). But with the good choices he is making right now, I think he will eventually win the war. And maybe the war isn't something that we can identify from where we sit, but rather, peace and tranquility for his children behind closed doors.

Admin, you are so right about the "ungrateful" Kate G. I have felt that about her for many years now. So much has been placed in her lap on a "golden platter" that she has come to expect all to worship her. Even being allowed a forum on national tv to come and whine and complain is a form of entitlement. I know people who have real trouble with serious health conditions who never complain. They see their glass as half full, not half empty. We must vote with our remotes and continue to call her out on her lies.

Barbra said...

Do we NOT find it 'ironic' that she was 'hungry'? Does SHE NOT realize that with the little she feeds them, her kids are 'hungry' all the time? I agree with those who feel she was melting down in Alaska because Sarah was the center of attention on the Sarah Palin Show! TLC should have been promoting the Kate Gosselin's Alaska as Narrated by Sarah Palin Show. It is really a shame that her children are all suffering from "KMMS" (Kate's my mom syndrome). Jon is doing the right, correct, proper thing by remaining silent and doing what he can legally to right the wrongs done and being done to his children.

Not Watching said...

Little People, Big World was cancelled due to repeating low viewing numbers. The range of their viewership is about the same as Khate+8 show.

During Palin's show, those kids worked long hours and were obviously exhausted (look at the photos) so no thanks TLC, I will continue to avoid your network and it's exploitive shows like the plague it is.

Attention to detail said...

Something has been needling me for some time so I finally checked it out. When I was watching the Alaska episode last month I noticed the group picture at the end of the show was different than the promotional picture seen in the previews. Since it went by so fast I wasn't sure how it was different but I remember not seeing Mady in it especially since the promo picture included her and it looked like she was crying.

I finally found the episode on youtube and checked. Yep, it's a different photo. Mady is there but it looks like she's hiding behind the boy in front of her. One of the girls is either hiding or is looking down and I can't seem to find clearly one of the boys (I don't have good screen resolution).

I don't know anything about tv production -- if the episode was made before the preview or visa verse -- but there was definitely a decision made to use a different photo. Poor kids. I wonder how many shots they had to take to get these two and they both don't show a big, happy family.

Admin, thank you for this website and your sage insight, both legally and geographically.
I completely agree that Jon should stay on course and maintain complete radio silence. Let Kate implode-it's happening as we see her thinly-veiled rage reveal itself underneath that patina of respectability that comes with the honor of being a mother. We see her delusions, namely her children "only having positive experiences" related to filming.
Now, Jon will have no satisfaction, no immediate gratification whatsoever. At least, not publicly. But wait, just wait. It may take years, hell even a decade to be vindicated in his honorable efforts to provide the children with the privacy and REAL riches they deserve.
If I could say to Jon, don't let Kate bait you. She wants to escalate in order to stay in the media and remain "relevant".
Somehow, I think Jon's got her number now.

Remember the comment from the female judge on DWTS about how Kate really thought she was okay and that she didn't see that she couldn't dance. Kate is in a world of delusion -- which tv is milking every dollar from. This started as a show about a unique family and their struggles with a large number of children and then they hit pay dirt with the dynamics of the actual dysfunction of the family. Reality tv evolved into train wreck scenerios and dramas where in lieu of seeing if you can survive in the jungle, they now look for people willing to sell their dignity, their privacy and their psyche. What makes this wrong is Reality television is destroying 8 innocent lives in the process who didn't choose this. Kate has every right as a mother to make decisions she thinks are best for her children. However, where is the protection when a mother goes further and allows her children to be humiliated, psyche and privacy destroyed and puts her children's dignity out over a media that seems more than willing to suck the very life and future mental health of these children for $$$$ because they have the mother's contractual sign off. All in the name of the public's entertainment.

I question how Kate can make that choice if blinded by the seduction of fame, no family support structure, no friend support structure and no one she can really trust unless you count people who make their livelihood also on the continued exploitation of Kate's children. If the emotional scars of these children were shown as physical blows, would society not shout from the rooftops -- this is abuse! But the scars and marks seem to be on the inside, still there but hidden and easy to ignore. Even as these emotional scars have manifested into problems at school, the media jumps in and allows the mother to come on tv and explain that she indeed is back in control and everything is fine. The red flags are on the pole for all to see but they go unchallenged because the show must go on! This is a true recipe for disaster.

Jon got sucked into it as well but I am hoping that he truly has seen the light, he has a family and friend support system and he now has employment. All building blocks for him. I am sure being hoisted into the spotlight was like a drug. I am routing for him, for the sake of his kids.

My hope is that under the heading of something we all can do is we can speak up, call this out for what it is and not watch the tv show as a statement that we see the red flags and are doing our part to end this madness and give these children a chance.

So as per usual it wasn't the kids' food that Khate was upset about but yet her own. P/B/J is the kids' staple - not Khates. Who halves sandwichs in the wild? What no Nobu? Sarah could have made her some from the fresh salmon in the lake if she had only asked nicely, which would be more organic than anything she has ever put in her mouth. What a sicko. Someone please step in and save the kids.

Re: Anon on this' comment "all that has been done to keep Kate calm for filming". Could this be why she is so often exhausted despite doing nothing besides sleep 10 hours a night and tend to her looks? Is this why she is sometimes manic/loud/screeching (think NYC on the double decker bus, the ET interview where she vows to own the interviewers microphone someday and all those inappeopriate meltdowns for no good reason)? And then sometimes lethargic/sprawled out/sleepy (think of the limo ride and dance rehearsals on dwts, the train ride to NYC, and some of the couch interviews where she's too bleary eyed to hit Jon)? Is Kate manic/crazed/bipolar in her natural state and medicated/sedated for filming? If so, God help those poor kids.

"Anon on This", thank you again for shedding some light on us from an insider's view.

I look forward to Anon's posts just as much as anyone else, but we have to remember this person can only say so much without giving away their identity. I'd rather be able to hear a little bit in bits and pieces than nothing at all! Also, IMO, the info Anon is giving us leaves quite a bit to read between the lines. For instance, Anon has referred twice now to Kate needing to be kept calm for filming. To me, this either means she has a more serious mental illness than narcissisim, or her fondness for box wine is more of a problem than we know. Could part of Steve's job be to keep her from drinking and driving?

Regarding the mental illness, I have a relative who is going through a divorce in the county next to Kate's. Her soon-to-be ex behaves in a manner very similar to Kate and he is trying to alienate their child from my relative, as well. The judge in their case ordered them both to have a psychological evaluation. I haven't spoken to my relative lately, but last I heard her ex was fighting it/trying to keep putting it off. He knows he can con/charm almost anybody, but a psychiatrist, maybe not so much. I hope Kate has been ordered to have one also, given her behavior.

As a hippie & nature lover, of course we are campers! It is the best part of summer for us! We go ALL the time. It is rare that we spend a weekend at home, we pack what we need, grab the dog, & off we go. Where we go is great to, we know all the campers, & my son has made life-long friends. (it even has internet service!! lol) Kate is embarrassing herself, acting like a self-entitled diva. She is just burying herself, over & over & over. I really think she is making stupid decisions more & more. The Today interview did her no justice at all, the TLC bait & switch made her look greedy, bringing back the dog makes her look VERY BAD, bashing Jon every chance she gets, & of course the many years of how she has treated the kids.

Her quest for fame is more important to her than anything. People are waking up. Articles about her are scathing. I don't think it will be long before 'her' show is history, & she is a tiny blip in TV history. Greed will get you nowhere Kate Gosselin. And she is in for a lonely life when her children are older & tell her they hate her for what she has done to them. I do not envy her.

Hi all.

My primary concern is my friend who needs my support. If I get in the habit of running on here and telling you guys every little thing, my friend's feelings will be very hurt. I wont do that. I dont ask, I dont pry, I only try to absorb what is shared with me so that I can be supportive and give my friend some shoring up.

I am not Ellen, admin likely has access to ISP addresses and can verify that I am not Ellen. Most of my conversations with my friend are online and on the phone, we no longer live near each other.

What I said about "hospital" I meant for mental health reasons. No matter what my personal thoughts would be, I would out my friend in a hot minute if I were given information that the kids were being beaten. However, they are being 'spanked' and 'slapped' way too often for my taste. Yes, it has been reported a long time ago.

By the way, the kids were expelled by any definition of the word. Kate was coached on how to spin it. The school may readmit the kids if certain conditions are met.

Jon's court processes continue. He has a plan, a course of action, and it is progressing. Admin could likely explain. It is in the kids best interest for all i's to be dotted and t's crossed so that things can be permanent, and not later reversed.

Please dont watch those kids on TV or online. It's rude. They are just little kids. They didnt ask for any of this and they have no choice. Some of them are aware they are being watched and they verbalize that they "feel like a freak".

That is a GREAT point! Again, she is digging her hole even deeper.

Y'know it's funny. I went over to a fan site (a minuted and a half is all I could stomach) and they're not threatened at all by the negative press Kate's getting. They believe the journalists are "jumping sides" to get more ratings/hits to their sites/shows. They think it's all a ploy!! Kate has lost a lot of fans this year but few she still has are holding onto her like a puppy with a porkchop.

I wish parents of the kids who were bullied would set the record straight & make their own statements about what really happened!! If my child was bullied & the parent of that child went on national TV to dance around the issue, I would be the 1st parent responding to the Fame Ho's LIES

========================

Parents who send their kids to elite schools and pay thousands of dollars in tuition each year have certain expectations. They are buying services that are not available in public school. Among them is the expectation that behavioral issues will be addressed by the school before substantial harm occurs to the children who are not behaving badly.

These parents are buying a level of protection and privacy for their children that is not necessarily available elsewhere. Elite schools may feature students on their own websites, but the children are normally not identified, and no elite school would ever consider publicizing the names of students who attend - for many, many reasons.

Any parent who responded publicly to Mrs. Gosselin's lies risks all of this, and runs the risk of putting his or her child's name, and possibly face, into the public arena. The Gosselin saga illustrates the hazards of doing this better than just about anything else. This lesson cannot have been lost on the parents of other students at the Gosselin children's school.

No, if you were a parent who valued your child's safety and well-being, and one who was paying thousands of dollars to secure it to the best of your ability (in addition to all the taxes you already pay to support the public schools your child does NOT attend), you would NOT be responding to these lies.

Whether or not your own child would be bullied as a result of responding, you would be ostracized by other parents for contributing to the negative publicity and increasing the focus on the school and its students - contrary, in every way, to the culture that these schools attempt to provide.

You'd also realize that Mrs. Gosselin will implode soon enough, and her children have enough burdens in life as it is.

I totally agree with everyone else - Jon is doing EXACTLY what he should be doing right now. Maintaining his silence, going about his business in the background, avoiding the media, and generally getting on with his life. I also agree that an "attention-needer" such as Kate must be driven mad by his lack of response or retaliation. Keep up the good work Jon, if you're reading. It's working well thus far. And it is certainly best for your kids not to have both parents duking it out in public. Let her make an ass of herself - it will only serve to strengthen your position as this debacle proceeds.

I don't think it has a darn thing to do with being this "elite" private school. The public school in my old town had several famous celeb children going there including Pam Anderson's kids. Those kids were guarded like precious gems. No paparazzi would dare come near that school, and no parent has ever breathed a public mention of anything about those children. I know for a FACT that a child of a rather wealthy and famous family was kicked out of preschool for pushing a little boy down the stairs and breaking his collar bone. It was much easier to expel him rather than deal with the victim's parents. This happened in about 2000. Did you ever see anything like that in the tabloids? Obviously not. People protect kids under normal circumstances, both the victim and the perp.

I think people protect children as part of a natural instinct and you don't have to pay for the privilege to find good people out there who want what's best for your kids.

I think good parents are good parents, and I do believe that the vast majority of parents (as evidence by the many, many families of multiples who have turned DOWN this lifestyle) want privacy for their children. I think most reasonable, rational people know that Kate is a basketcase who exploits her children in every breath and that there is absolutely no point in responding to her lies. It would only hurt your own kids who are trying to go on at school and be private.

The kids feel like a freak show? Well, that's because their mother has put them in one.

I watched my Tivoed episode of Sunday's Sarah Palin, and during commercials they heavily advertised the episode with her father at least three times.

Either TLC was purposely intending another shady bait and switch, or they really are scrambling all around down there trying to figure out what the heck to do with this woman.

Last minute changes usually happen at local access networks, not national networks like this. I think it makes them look disorganized and unprofessional.

======================

I think this is quite true of public schools in wealthy districts in particular, and, having lived in the Pacific Palisades area, I know that what you say about public school there (and undoubtedly in other areas where the children of the famous attend public school) is completely accurate. However, that kind of awareness does not necessarily (or automatically) extend to geographic areas where this kind of entertainment-related fame and sudden wealth are anomalies, as, for instance, in southeastern PA.

It's very unlikely that Pamela Anderson's children could have attended public school in Mt. Joy and had anything like the experience they had in LA. Ditto for all the other celebrity kids who've passed through Paly High and its ilk.

But I totally agree with the rest of your comment. Good parents, and most parents, do everything they can to protect their children. Polar opposite to what is happening with the Gosselin kids.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I don't know, I think people want to protect children no matter what their geographic location is. Why can't Pam Anderson's kids go to any random public school? Do you honestly think a bunch of people are going to mob them every time they get off the bus? This is the fantasy Kate has in her head, that she is mobbed by fans everywhere. The reality is, that doesn't really happen, not in L.A., not in NY, and really not anywhere else.

I think, and hope, that public schools would adapt no matter where they are, rural America or wherever. I think once you get over the initial novelty of a celebrity, most people realize they are just kids. No different than any other kids.

I really do think any celeb kid could go to any school and if there are good people at that school, they would protect them. I think private schools like the fantasy of thinking they are paying for some kind of high security discretion.

Canuck said...

Agree with Admin - I think it's been a VERY long time since Kate was mobbed by anyone, fan or foe. I recall her saying...what, at least 2 years ago(?)...that they "could NEVER go back" that they will be hounded by fans and paparazzi for the rest of their lives - believe this was when Jon first wanted to end the series. It's very obvious that she is able to go about her daily routine, shopping, beauty treatments, gas station visits, without being "mobbed". People don't seem to take notice of her one way or the other and have not for ages - it's been clear to anyone who's been watching that her photographs appear to be taken by one lone (probably paid-for) photographer, certainly not dozens (does anyone remember her saying "now I know how Princess Diana felt?) - how utterly ridiculous. Made all the more ridiculous by her DWTS performance to Paparazzi...everyone watching knew it was her own imagination and inflated ego at work. She is a legend in her own mind only. As far as the kids are concerned, I too have been exposed to celebrity children in schools - once the initial novelty wears off, they are no more or less than any of the other kids - just a question of how the adults involved handle it. Badly, in this case it would seem. Said it before...she's a putz.

I think the reason many of us are frustrated with the situation the children are in is because we are helpless to assist them. Anon For This talks about them being spanked and slapped often. We know they are re-fed spoiled food. They are screamed at on the show, and we can extrapolate that this also takes place when the show is not on.Two of the children have been expelled from kindergarten for violence issues, according to believable sources.Their mother constantly puts their father down. They are "looked after" by a stream of people, some of whom are apparently untrained post-adolescents.

The cumulative effect of this lifestyle on children would make any responsible parent cringe, and glad that their children haven't had to endure similar treatment.

However, if you read the PA Child Abuse legislation as it is currently written, none of this is abusive behaviour on the part of Kate or her staff.Even if we were to report it all to Children's Services (or its PA equivalent),it would probably be investigated, but legally Kate is on the right side of the law.She might be told to stop those practices, but I'm pretty sure that nobody could make her do it.

And Kate continues to be given a forum to spew her delusional propaganda on major TV shows, and continues to get recognized for doing so.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Delusions of grandeur. She thinks everyone is looking at her, the paparazzi is surrounding her, she is Kate Middleton and not Kate Gosselin (by the way did you heer Kate Middleton keeps insisting she wants to be called KATHERINE not Kate? I'm sure it has nothing to do with Kate G. but I had to laugh at that--the Kate name has been tainted!)

Of course she can go back. Proof she can go back? JON WENT BACK. Jon is rarely in the tabloids unless Kate is throwing him under the bus again. He is quietly going about his business, working, in a steady relationship, picking up his children on weekends and living a private life.

Proof she can go back.

A few random thoughts:

It seems to me when Kate and crew are out filming, people stand around like idiots watching, pushing and shoving to see what's going on. If she's being filmed in a store that doesn't close it's doors while the crew is there, people are gaga and wanting to talk to her. People were waving madly when they were in NY. Maybe when she's out doing the usual tanning/mani/pedi/Fedex routine, she's left alone, but in her delusional mind, all the people standing around watching the filming are "hoards of fans" mobbing her.

As far as the children starving, I doubt Kate spends much time preparing meals for them. That would be the nanny's job, wouldn't it? If they actually were starving, as some insist, wouldn't they eat their lunches even if the sandwich wasn't their favorite?

No, not at all. But the odds of random parents being willing to mouth off if incidents occur are much greater if there isn't a shared belief that everyone's best interests are served by being discreet. My comment really had nothing to do with mobbing kids for photo ops.

Admin said:

I really do think any celeb kid could go to any school and if there are good people at that school, they would protect them

==

That depends entirely on the people involved, and how you define "good people". At my dad's "excellent" nursing/assisted living homes it wasn't the "good people" who staffed the place who were the problem - it was their sons, boyfriends and so on who were the iffy components. They were the ones who motivated problematic behavior among the staff.

You'd think "good people" would also protect vulnerable nursing home residents, but that's not always the way it works. Where there's a fiduciary incentive, or a desire for some kind of revenge for a perceived wrong, "goodness" can fall by the wayside pretty fast.

Private schools wield an enormous amount of power over the families who contract with them (much more so than nursing homes do, over either staff or families). There really IS a certain amount of security there that is difficult to achieve in geographic areas that aren't as sophisticated as the ones in LA we've mentioned.

If you blab about what happens in an elite private school, you're likely to be shown the door. That's not even a consideration at a public school.

==

Admin said:

I think once you get over the initial novelty of a celebrity, most people realize they are just kids. No different than any other kids.

==

That's what happens at places like Paly High, because wealth is the great equalizer, and virtually every kid has claim to some kind of status which has pushed his or her family into the stratosphere in terms of wealth or celebrity in the USA. But Paly isn't a typical public school, and it's very used to dealing with these issues.

Once the Gosselin kids are in public school, they will no longer have the kinds of protections. BUT it won't matter as much then, because, presumably, they will no longer be constantly in the public eye.

At that point will be just kids going to school with other kids who live in the neighborhood. Once they're entertainment has-beens (we can hope by next year) what they do in school will be yesterday's news, not tabloid fodder.

==

Admin said:

I think private schools like the fantasy of thinking they are paying for some kind of high security discretion.

==

I would respectfully disagree. Discretion is definitely something families are buying and expect when they send children to elite private schools. No elite school that failed to provide it would last long.

You are paying, in part, for what you believe is effective screening of staff, administration and teachers, and you have an expectation that any and all matters regarding your child will be kept private unless you give explicit permission to the contrary.

When your child enrolls, you typically sign forms describing exactly what you'll permit as public information, and exactly what you won't allow. An elite school will follow these instructions to the letter, as will every teacher, clerk, and janitor employed by the school. The school's reputation, and its ability to attract other wealthy families, depends upon it.

Parents at these schools have a high incentive to keep a low profile, no matter how wronged their own children may have been. That's understood at these private schools, but not necessarily an accepted value at your local public elementary school.

We need to remember - even though a relatively small number of us have made a (hobby?) out of blogging about this cow and her self-proclaimed importance in the world, the vast majority of North Americans (tens of millions!) don't have a clue who she is...nor have ever watched her show. This is a note for Kate, in the off-chance she reads this stuff.

You said on The Today Show that "your friends" have told you that Collin and Alexis's anger is normal. You said "the people close to me wonder why I don't get angrier" ( at Jon ).

Here's a little tip for you, Kate. Everybody who is close to you, is paid by either your or TLC to be in your life and say what you want to hear. Your "friends" are your paid ego strokers. They make a living off of making you feel better about yourself. They are doing you absolutely no favors....at all. Actually, they make you look like even more of an a-hole.

What your kids are displaying is NOT NORMAL behavior.

But these paid companions of yours tell you what you want to hear, because they know if they have an opinion different than yours, they will be banished and the cash flow will come to a halt. They will have to find a source of income somewhere else if they disagree with you.

I think you already know this, but are in denial.

Your kids are displaying abnormal behavior because a) they see YOU behave this way, and b) they are old enough now to know people are watching them and it makes them feel like a freak. They are EMBARRASSED that their private moments are shown to millions of strangers.

I've taught elementary school for 13 years and have had many many many students go through divorce situations, but rarely do they wad up papers and throw them on the floor or run around because of it. If anything, they become quiet and/or want to please adults even more in search of affection.

The behavior you described is not typical normal behavior simply because of a divorce. It's because of frustration that they know their peers are witness to their screw-ups on tv, their peers are witness to their mother having public coniption fits, and because they learned how to express frustration the way YOU do, Kate Gosselin.

You must know, if you or TLC ever stop paying these people who are close to you, you will be left with nobody. Is this why you are so afraid to end the show? Who will carry your purse and umbrella for you if the show ends? Who will tell you that the (piss poor) decisions you make are ok and normal?

Nobody.

Maybe Shoka will listen to you, but my guess is you will be truly all alone for once. And you brought this all on yourself because of a deep seeded issues you have and will always be there until you decide to do some major heavy-duty work on yourself. And I mean work on the inside, not the outside. You already tried that. Botox, tans, weaves and fake boobs won't touch that poison you have buried in your soul.

Please stop insulting our intelligence by going on random talk shows in attempts to make yourself appear to be supermom. You truly have no clue what you are doing as a mother. You serioulsy need parenting classes in a major way.

You are screwing up 8 beautiful kids while the whole world watches.

I still pass by Kate as she is dropping off kids. Although I've not stopped to watch. There's a couple of stoplights right on the road where I usually end up having to wait and I have noticed that once Kate drops the kids out and leaves then the other school kids get out of their parked cars where they are waiting with their parents (I assume) and head to the bus. I wonder if this is a rule (or unwritten rule) that the kids have to wait for the Gosselins to load up in the morning. I've noticed it the one time I actually stopped to watch and thought it was a fluke. However I've seen it more than 1/2 a doz times as I drive past where the bus is and the van turns and departs. Just wondering aloud as to why this may be...or perhaps it's just a big fluke that it happens often.

It seems to me when Kate and crew are out filming, people stand around like idiots watching, pushing and shoving to see what's going on

*********
I wouldn't put it past TLC to hire some of those people to make it look good.

BerksPa, glad to see you back. If my kids had to wait in my car while the G kids got first dibs on all the window seats that would give me even more of a reason to dispise Kate. Who does she think she is (rhetorical question.) Of course, as you say, it might be a fluke that it happened this way several times ;)

OK, I've got way too much time on my hands today... I went over to JustJared's site (I had never heard of it before) and the comments are hillarious. Not one person is standing up for Kate. Even here. What happended to the ones and twos of commenters who argued with the rest of us in favor of Kate? Tick tock tick tock.

"Anon on this", I just want to thank you for keeping us posted on the Gosselin's situation.

It's good to see that we are all here for the same reason- we sensed something was seriously wrong with Kate, and that her children's rights were not being taken into account in her desire for fame & fortune.

So thanks again- we appreciate your insight on the situation.

Take care.

Re: other kids waiting while Gosselins embark.

There could be lots of reasons for this. For one, Kate likes to pull up right next to the bus to load and unload kids. We've seen her do it several times in pictures and video. Second,
Kate likes to get on the bus and make sure all her kids have all their stuff, and has sent a helper out to retrieve things from the van while Kate blocks the aisle. So, it could be that Kate refuses to stay off the bus and the other kids (and driver) think it's too much of a hassle to have to move around her. Third, Kate thinks she's entitled to do things HER way and the heck with anybody else.

Maybe it's all 3. Plus 4, 5, 6, 7.....

They have assigned seats on the bus, so the kids don't get to choose where they sit. We've seen their names over their seats in pictures.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

We know Chris sometimes shows up at the bus stop and takes pics. If I were a parent I'd be sure my kids weren't anywhere near those kids to have their photos taken. Maybe they're making sure the Gosselin kids are on the bus and out of sight and Chris isn't taking pics anymore, before exposing their children.

Some parents you know have a healthy fear of things like kidnappers, pedifiles, etc.

Laura D. said...

Admin, good point about the paps at the bus; I forgot. But how annoying for the other parents. Why should they have to put up with that. Sheesh.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Sad for the Gosselin kids to feel like they can't even have their friends stand next to them because their parents are maybe afraid of the paps. We so rarely see them with friends, but maybe it's less because of Kate and more because people don't want their children around other children so publically exposed. Your kids come first before the happiness of the Gosselin kids.

I just read Bonnie Fuller's article. What an about face from a woman just six months ago saying that this was so wonderful because of trips. She once was lost but now is found. She's blind but now she sees. The prodigal son comes home!

The poll on the site is at 93% saying get these kids off our damn TVs and let them have a private life.

Admin, this is what I was talking about up-thread. The Kate fans are fuming that Bonnie Fuller switched sides. However, they believe she did it only for ratings/hits, not because she is truly against Kate. These last 8 fans are in a world all their own!

If SHE looks like a young Camilla Parker Bowles, it must mean when Camilla was in her mid forties as compared to her age now.
If SHE felt she has been 'mobbed' by the paps she should watch clips of when Princess Diana was being 'mobbed' and see the difference. A couple of people standing around in a parking lot a mob ain't! (Intentionally written in a ridiculously ridiculous format)
If SHE isn't sharp enough to 'get it', she's DONE, OVER, FINISHED, THROUGH.

Good point. But whatever happened to her :"best friend" Jamie of 9 years, the one who went w/ her to Discovery Cove for the kids' 6th birthday party?

Its good that people vent and tell Kate how they really feel, how you see the situation affect the kids, other kids, maybe even your own kids, I don't know who anyone is here on this site. You read things, you analyze things, you have opions, beliefs, voices and sheer disgust as do a lot of us with many things Kate has either said, done, did and continues to do. But even those who write out to Kate, via blogs, on Kate's Blog, write to the TV shows she appears on and to TLC--Kate's behavior of ME FIRST, MINE ALL MINE, I'M IN CHARGE AND THAT'S NEVER GOING TO CHANGE SO SUSH, is behavior--of a narassist--meaning, whether or not you state things to Kate, she isn't ever going to hear them she is going to hear what she wants to hear whatever anyone else's opinions and disapproval is. Its still good to be that voice and give your opinon of how you feel about the situation and everything Kate is, will be and should be responsible for. After all it is a free country and this blog represents freedom to speak and give our view of things, however, the only thing that is going to truly reach Kate (maybe if ever) is when her show is over. No show last forever, reality or otherwise, we all know this. So I do encourage you to continue to voice your opinon, disgust and the likes but Kate isn't going to take any of our comments and complains seriously no matter where they come from because she is too busy having her fingers in her ears and wearing blinders to how the world is around her and nobody is going to change that until she winds up completely alone with no bodyguard, no productoin crew, no assistants, no nannies, no paid help, no bus for transportation, maybe a reasonable amount of money to live on. The only thing she is going to have on her hands in the end of this is a lot of frustrated, embarassed and angry kids with not a whole lot of answers that go beyond, "Um, you know, I couldn't go back..."

I was just going to type about something like that myself. If my children were stuck going to school with the circus act, I would be very careful about not having my kids' photos snapped at the bus stop. Frankly, I would be the parent most likely to discus this with all the other parents at the bus stop and suggest we handle it just this way, meaning stay in our cars with our kids until Khate and her paid photographer leave the bus stop. Man, I can only imagine how the parents at that school privately complain about Khate.

I just want to update my post from last night. I checked my satellite guide again since it only goes eight days forward, so now I can see what's listed for next Sunday.

Sunday 12/12/10

8 pm(ET: Sarah Palin's Alaska - "She's a Great Shot"
Sarah goes on a caribou hunting trip with her father and friend above the Arctic Circle.
(Repeat episode, originally aired 12/5 - Episode 4)

9pm(ET): Sarah Palin's Alaska - No title
Kate Gosselin and her children visit Sarah in Alaska; it's bear safety clases for their camping trip
(New episode/Episode 5)

@ fidosmommy - there is a blog that documents the LPBW show (spiritswander's blog) that IMO shows quite clearly the show was canceled, despite Matt Roloff's spin.

IMO, while I know this is not a Little People blog, there are a lot of similarities between the exploitation of the Gosselin children, and the acting out you now see by Jacob, the youngest child that was filmed the longest by TLC.

"However, if you read the PA Child Abuse legislation as it is currently written, none of this is abusive behaviour on the part of Kate or her staff."

____________________

In PA, emotional abuse is child abuse, and most definitely can be reported as such. I have worked with social services on cases in which there was no obvious signs of physical or sexual abuse, but there was emotional abuse.

From the PA code:

"An act or failure to act by a perpetrator which causes nonaccidental serious mental injury to or sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of a child under 18 years of age."

Emotional Abuse (PA is included):

"Almost all States, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands include emotional maltreatment as part of their definitions of abuse or neglect. Approximately 32 States, the District of Columbia, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico provide specific definitions of emotional abuse or mental injury to a child. Typical language used in these definitions is "injury to the psychological capacity or emotional stability of the child as evidenced by an observable or substantial change in behavior, emotional response, or cognition," or as evidenced by "anxiety, depression, withdrawal, or aggressive behavior."
The States are Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania..."

If the above definition of emotional abuse doesn't apply to the kids, I don't know what does: "anxiety, depression, withdrawal, aggressive behavior..."

By the way, these are the blogs Kate complained about to the editor of the Eagle, causing the editor to tell his columnists to stop writing about her. Here's my concern with posters who present themselves as having inside information. No details are given -- the info is generic. Anyone with writing skills can sound intelligent and report what has happened -- what they have read on other blogs. We have no idea if these people are just playing around because there has been no substantial information or insights given. We read comments on various blogs, such as "Kate is unbalanced, the kids are withdrawn, Jon is doing what he needs to do..." Isn't this something that anyone could write? I'd love to see some specific details given, not what has happened in the past, and not suppositions.

I guess I'm just skeptical. We've seen too many "sources" that masquerade as being someone in the know, only to find out that these were posters just out to have a good time.

Anyone on Jon's team, or a non-Kate fan could post as someone in the know, and we might all be taken for a ride. I'm not saying that some of these "insiders" aren't legit. I'm saying that since they can't reveal their identities, there is no proof, and we really don't know, so we can take it for what it's worth. We can believe or we can doubt. We can be gullible, grasping for any little bit of info that appears, or we can take it all with the proverbial grain of salt. It's up to the individual.

There's so much confusion and misinformation out there about TLC's shows and their schedule. As you aid earlier, Admin, TLC is so unprofessional. I just came across this:

Kate Gosselin on 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' Preview (VIDEO)

It's the team-up of the century: Kate Gosselin and Sarah Palin are going camping in the Alaskan wilderness. Yes, the time has finally come for the two very polarizing women to meet.

On Sun., Dec. 5 at 9PM, Gosselin and her clan travel to 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' for a special ratings stunt camping trip. In the preview clip from Us Weekly below, Gosselin whines about being cold and hungry, Palin shoots some guns and lots of kids run around.

"She is going to rely on me to protect her," Palin says while wielding a shotgun. Uh-mazing.

-------

Btw, they have the video clip there from US Magazine, but now it says it's unavailable. So, I went to US Magazine's site and they have two different Palin articles with videos listed on their home page. They put up a post today about this week's Palin show, with a promo clip, and it's the episode where Sarah goes hunting with her father.

Then, US has the post from yesterday with the video clip, about the Khate episode. I just watched the TLC promo clip there and it seem to be the same one from yesterday but they redid it and changed the date. At least, I think so, I think the voice over and the onscreen graphics originally said the Khate episode was December 5th, but now they changed it to December 12th.

So, either TLC screwed up or they made a last minute change and decided to put the Khate episode on next week. I hope that doesn't mean they want more time to promote it next week.

Here are the links in case anyone wants them:

I am not a blind hater - I have my opininions based on what I have seen with my own eyes or heard/read from a believable source. I loathe K8 but I don't necessarily believe every "bad" story about her, regardless if the story could be plausible or not. I also do not necessarily believe any "kissy kissy K8" stories. Years ago there was an anonymous poster on GWOP supposedly attended the wedding and said K8 was "lovely". There was another poster who claimed she was at the spa with K8 and the girls and said K8 was a total biatch. I took BOTH stories with huge grains of salt.

IDModo said...

LancNative: Thanks for the exact wording. What concerns me is the NON ACCIDENTAL SERIOUS mental injury; this implies it has to be purposeful to be abusive, and that could be impossible to prove.
The standard for physical punishment becoming abusive in PA is also extremely high and involves SERIOUS injury.

I am not saying these things are not abuse, or not reportable; what I am saying is that they are probably not actionable with the way the law is written.

Kate & Jon’s Bitter Holiday Feud — Kate’s Forbidding Jon From Seeing Kids!

EXCLUSIVE! Kate went on the Today show and said she and Jon never fight over who gets the kids for the holidays — but an insider tells HollyBaby that’s not true!

Kate Gosselin is trying so hard to tell the world that all is well with her family life, but HollyBaby can reveal that she lied twice when being interviewed by Meredith Vieira on the Today show on Thursday (Dec. 2)! We’ve already told you that Kate lied when she said that her children were not expelled from their private school. Now we can tell HollyMoms that she wasn’t being truthful when she claimed she and her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, never fight about who gets custody of their eight kids over the holidays. An insider tells HollyBaby exclusively that Jon and Kate are in the midst of bitter battle over who gets the children this New Year’s Day.

“She called Jon up and said she wants to film the kids for Kate Plus 8,” says our source. “He’s so upset and told her ‘no’ but she said, ‘Too bad!’”

The Gosselin kids ruin Christmas for their classmates, telling them Santa is a lie

According to our insider, the custody arrangement between Jon and Kate is set up so that every other year one parent gets the eight kids on the actual holiday. This year, Kate gets to see her kiddies on the actual day and Jon sees them the day or two after. For instance, this past Thanksgiving Jon saw the children the day after Turkey Day. But he is supposed to get the children on New Year’s Day — and Kate wants to put an end to that.

Kate Gosselin forces her kids to take stale food to school!

From what we know of Kate, she always gets her way.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

You have to remember child abuse laws are talking about taking a child from their parent. You have a fundamental right to your child. The standard should be high to rip a child from their parent. I wouldn't want a child taken from anyone without good reason.

While I think their childhoods are dysfunctional, I certainly do not, never have, think they should be taken from Kate. I think they should be with both Kate and Jon. Taking them from her would only make their problems worse.

Child abuse laws are not the way to go. The way to go now is the ratings.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

That is EXACTLY what I said, that a typical family law order will given even year holidays to one parent and odd to the other.

Of course Kate can't go by a simple custody order every other divorced family in America who has follows. She wants even AND odd years. She got Thanksgiving this year AND last year. Now she allegedly wants New Year's too. Jon must have the patience of Jesus Christ himself.

Jon needs to plant his feet. If the family law order says he gets New Year's, he gets New Year's. Too bad for KATE.

IDModo said...

Admin, please help me understand your point of view about child abuse laws. There are many alternatives to removing children from their parents, at least where I live. There are supervision orders, where the children remain with their parents but under the supervision of the department. There are compulsory programs that parents must take in order to parent their children better. Therapy can be ordered by the court, for the family and individual members.Removing a child is the absolute last resort, when a situation is so abusive that the child is not safe in his parents' care.Is it different in the United States?
I am suggesting that Kate should have a supervision order, with regular visits from a case worker, and an order for therapy; not apprehension of her children.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Those in-home services situations usually never make it into court. For all we know social workers have been involved, but have stopped short of taking the children. It's supposed to be confidential.

My experience with social workers is they often just make a situation worse. They are over-worked, underpaid, inexperienced, and part of a giant social services bureaucracy designed to protect but is really just about foster care money.

I think the last thing these children need are another person for their mother to hate. Like Kate would give a social worker the time of day--yet another person who is WRONG in her eyes. A narcissist cannot be cured by these people.

Nobody Likes a Narcissist said...

Yes, Admin I agree with you that if their order doesn't provide for holidays to alternate every other year that is certainly not the norm. More importantly, it's not in the best interests of the children. Again, it seems that Jon had lousy representation, but hopefully that is being rectified now.

If I were representing Jon I would be thrilled if Khate were sending him emails or some other communication regarding switching parenting time because of FILMING! Oh, how I would love the court to see that filming the kids - on their Christmas BREAK - is her first (and only) priority!

These people need a fixed and firm order spelling out the parenting time. Beyond that, I'm not sure what PA has but many states have parenting facilitators (usually a family psychologist). When either parent wants to make a change and the other doesn't readily agree, they have to schedule a meeting with the facilitator to work it out. That way, one parent isn't able to constantly cause problems, or browbeat the other one (who tends to give in simply to keep the peace), and the courts aren't constantly being tied up over every little holiday, birthday, special occasion or event because one or both parents are acting like selfish, immature, vindictive bastards. I hate to think that Jon has a crappy order and on top of that Khate is dictating changes whenever it suits her and her oh so important filming schedule.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

If it's his custody time and Kate isn't turning them over? You call the police and show them the family law order. The police will go in and get the kids for you. With full backing from the judge. The next day you walk it onto court and ask the judge to order a sanctions hearing on the other parent. If you have to play hard ball that's what you have to do.

For pity sake let's hope Kate doesn't make him resort to that. What a messy situation.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I kind of wonder if so much of this is just sort of Jon's laid back personality not wanting to cause fights. Is it worth Kate's wrath to demand New Year's or should he let it slide?

I hope he is slowly realizing that he is not picking enough battles with her. Just like in the marriage she is walking all over him.

I firmly believe he simply agreed to pick up the kids at the end of the driveway to avoid Kate going ape-shit. No judge would EVER order such a dysfunctional arrangment, most judges would rip Kate a new one for even suggesting that. Most judges I know would say, Ma'am, if you can't be civil with the children's father for two minuts to exchange your children, then you get off your butt and take them to a neutral location like the bus stop or McDonalds. Cut the crap.

The house things I believe is something he agreed to as well. If he were a danger he would have monitored visits, he's not.

Absolutely. I bet that the ONLY reason she wants them on New Year's is because they are going somewhere over break to film -- or they will be filming at home. If they weren't filming she'd be thrilled to get them out of her hair so she could go on a trip to someplace warm, like the Caribbean or Mexico with her male assistant.

Nobody Likes a Narcissist said...

Yes, he needs to stop letting Queen Khate call the shots. He probably has given her too much control for many reasons: that's the norm with them and old habits die hard; it's his nature to be easy going and go along with things; and most importantly, he probably learned long ago that it's best not to inflame Khate for the sake of the kids.

The problem is that when one person is so domineering like this and gets crazy when they don't get their way, it becomes a vicious cycle. They continue to get their way on all things forever because nobody wants to upset them, it's just not worth it. And, don't think for one minute that the controlling narcissist is not fully aware of that fact. It's like they (she) are getting rewarded for their horrible behavior time and time again.

About the driveway situation, it's sad to say but I've been involved in many cases where the parents (usually just one of them) cannot be civil enough during the drop off and we end up with an order that they meet in the local supermarket/mall/bank parking lot for the exchange of the children. Sad and pathetic. I couldn't imagine growing up like that, poor kids.

Exactly my point.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

IDModo, not at all. Canadian statistics on child abuse are far more promising than ours. And it's my understanding that your social workers are, overall, actually paid what you are worth, are treated with respect, and do not find themselves frequently overworked and short-staffed, am I right? Further, I am not aware of Canada giving their social workers financial incentives to pull kids from their mothers and fathers and adopt them out with strangers, as the U.S. does. Nor do you have a law railroaded through my John Walsh that prevents an uncle or aunt or grandmother from taking in a child taken from their parents because in 1976 they once stole a pack of gum from a store.

Where I think Canada is by far the more progressive country is in their mandatory reporting laws. Making it the obligation of everyone, not just mandatory reporters, to report suspected child abuse.

Isn't that what most religions teach us? That when something is going wrong you should tell someone and try to fix it? I don't understand the U.S. system making it okay to hide it. If you don't report it, you are part of it.

q said...

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the driveway thing was all Kate's idea as another way to punish Jon for some imagined wrong he committed somewhere, sometime. And Jon goes along because to go against Kate must be living hell. Jon's really between a rock and a hard place trying to deal with Kate the way you'd deal with a rational, normal person. It's a total impossibility. If he fights back, it just causes more stress and turmoil in the children's lives.

According to the HollyBaby article (or whatever it is) Kate wants the kids on New Year's Day to film?? Who works on New Year's Day? Are they filming a New Years episode to be shown on Valentine's Day?

I have a degree in Social Work, but I got out of the profession before I began. As a student my supervisor told me to spend limited time with the clients - just enough time to get the necessary information - and then spend a long time filling out the forms accurately. Many of the papers I filled out never saw the light of day again, but they were filled out! Job done.

I fear much of what goes on in the field is very similar to that, sadly. So, that means to me that people may be informed, but the info
goes nowhere useful, and the situation is not addressed. I know there are terrific Social workers out there who do wonderful work, but a lot of what happens depends on the supervisor or the agency. Social workers can only do so much on their own.

I have always wondered if Kate's unpleasant and ridiculous driveway exchange demands, along with the addition of the trees, has more to do with her basement companion than with Jon or the kids. She simply does not want anyone intruding or being aware of her very cozy, convenient, and totally inappropriate arrangement.

My fear w/this is Jon MAY not be using an attorney, and I'm not sure if he is smart enough to know these things, or at least know who or where to call to get the answers. In Jon's defense, the narcissist cares only for HER wishes, so it's of absolutely NO consequence to her, how the arguing is affecting the children. Typically, it's the non-narcissist that gives in, if only for the kids sake. I hate to say it, but Jon is no match for Kate, unless he has a cut throat lawyer.

I admit I am confused. I have suggested that Jon needs to be allowed to present his side of things in the media every single time Kate does to refute her lies. I have been told by almost everyone that is the worst thing that can happen because of the children. Here's what I don't get: those kids live in that house with monster-mom Kate, they see her in ways we could probably never even guess about how bad it really is. Nothing anyone could say or do could make things better for them as long as they are under her direct thumb. So, my point is, Jon needs to do something and he needs to do it quick. Giving in to her and allowing her to think she is 'winning' again and again is not working. She is just getting more and more controlling -- to the point now that she thinks she can just tell him 'no you can't have the kids even if it is your turn because I said so'. Who the heck gets away with that. Call the police Jon, and force them to go in and get those children away from her on his days. I just don't see how his going to the media with his side of things is any different than being forced into forcibly withdrawing his children. They are hurt terribly no matter what happens. You can't reason with crazy - Kate is crazy. She has gone over the edge and she is taking those kids with her. Jon is the only one who can do anything and he needs to start fighting her every step of the way. Will the kids be hurt? Hell yes, they will be hurt, but they are being slowly destroyed day by day by their own mother and her nasty behavior.

I've been very fortunate that I've never known anyone in my life that came close to the behavior Kate exhibits. I've seen some people who like to be in control, but they had a lot of really good points too. I have been shocked by what I have seen her do in the past few years and what she continues to get away with. No-one calls her on anything. Not when she is being interviewed or is on her couch talking to the camera. No one is this powerful. No one. There is a weak spot somewhere. Jon knows where it is, he needs to bring it out in the open and stop caving in to her.

Yes Anon I agree with what you are saying that Jon really is no match for Kate. Most victims are trampled all over by their narcissist.

My experience with parental alienation is the "normal" parent should expect at least 18 months fighting the other parent in court before things finally start swinging their way. As an attorney, however, I can't tell you how good it feels to finally see things going the way of the parent who is doing everything right and is up against that kind of nonsense--sort of a good wins out feeling. I can't imagine being in that parent's shoes and the relief THEY must feel.

According to the HollyBaby article (or whatever it is) Kate wants the kids on New Year's Day to film?? Who works on New Year's Day? Are they filming a New Years episode to be shown on Valentine's Day?

*******************

I was thinking the same thing and then I realized maybe they think it's a good time to film a fake Christmas episode. Houses will be lit up, trees will be decorated, and there's likely to be snow on the ground. They can do a fakey fake Christmas episode like they threw together the Halloween one, and then get it on the air by the end of the month (or, as you said, just in time for Valentines Day, lol).

This farce is so tiresome, isn't it?

Anonymous, not everyone is just assuming an insider is correct. But someone claiming to be an insider said Kate spanks the kids. That's note earth shattering, since we have actual photos from Chris himself of Kate spanking Leah, for blowing a whistle no less, I'm going to assume that Kate has spanked at least one child at least once. One time too many. I don't need an insider to tell me Kate has spanked her children and I'm not going to apologize for believing this as I'm satisfied the photos I saw were, indeed, Kate spanking her child.

Anthony List, Jon's attorney during the time Kate was on DWTS, appeared on the Nance Grace Show on April 7, 2010. This is what Mr. List said about their custody arrangements. Of course, it may have changed since April, 2010.

This is part of the transcript. You can find the entire transcript on her website:

LIST: Nancy, you`re a very smart lady and a very good attorney yourself, and you know that. That`s not what he asked for. Read the pleadings that were filed today in court. They were very specific. He is asking the court to review the question of child support. He is asking the court to review the issue of custody. Do you realize that today, the way the order stands, Kate Gosselin has sole discretion to determine whether or not Jon is able to see the eight children? Do you know of any other custody agreement that provides for such a -- you know, a lopsided arrangement? As far as child support...
---------------
Kate haS/had sole discretion to determine whether or not Jon is/was able to see his own children. And yes Jon is/was paying $21,000 per month in child support. He was able to pay for this out of the equitable distribution from his divorce. (My guess is that is why he is renting in a one bedroom and she lives in a 7,800 sq. ft.home with 24 acres). And the $21,000 per month for child support was placed in a special account that Jon could not touch for his own use. And keep in mind this was the exact time that Kate went on the VIEW and Joy asked her point blank if Jon was paying child support and Kate gave an answer that directly implied, "NO". Can you imagne paying $250,000 a year in child support and your ex-wife is lying repeatly on national tv saying he isn't paying child support. And the public is believing it because he didn't have a job. Disgusting! And Kate is disgusting!

Stalker, I don't name parties on appeal here nor give out details like that and anyone who is a regular here can attest to that. Go stalk someone else. Everyone here is private it's the creepy sheeple obsessed with our private lives. And they want us to leave Kate alone? Lol

Is TLC doing another "bait & switch" by making it seem Kate's Alaska trip will be on next week so viewers will watch, find out it is not ,and wait & watch another week etc? How can they get away with this? Can the FCC go along with this?

It also sounds like more filming for the kids over the holidays and if Kate gets her way with her big hint about Austria another long trip for them. TLC is promoting Kate big time in the UK and slamming Jon.
They portray Kate as being a stressed out single Mother doing it all by herself with no help or cooperation from Jon. So far, most people who comment do not like Kate and wonder why she is being shoved down their throats also.
I hope the one anon. commentator is telling the truth that Jon is doing all he can quietly behind the spotlight and that justice will prevail for the kids, the filming stops and he gets to spend more time with them. Kate is using them as blackmail to Jon which is as abusing as physical abusing is.

Watch this show? I don't think so. To watch Kate Gosselin and the children on any show is to watch the slow but certain destruction of 8 children!

And WHY, would Jon ever have agreed to this kind of arrangement? Can anyone please tell me that? He knew what she was like? He knew how she treated the kids? I believe in my heart this was about money for Jon.

Do you believe? said: "Here's my concern with posters who present themselves as having inside information. I'd love to see some specific details given, not what has happened in the past, and not suppositions."

"We can be gullible, grasping for any little bit of info that appears, or we can take it all with the proverbial grain of salt. It's up to the individual."

Do you Believe? you singled out a passage from one of my posts to make your above points. When I wrote the post, I considered writing something to the effect of "if this person is actually legit" but I was in a hurry and left it out. I would have left it in if I had known I was going to be schooled in the fact that you shouldn't take as gospel, anonymous postings on the internet. Rest assured, I've never wired money to Nigeria to claim my lottery winnings or fallen for any of those phishing emails. Could this person absolutely be a fraud? Yes. Has their info been somewhat generic and already known? Yes. But I find their posts interesting nonetheless. However, as you said, there have been many frauds so any of these anonymous postings must be taken with a grain of salt.

Money in what way:

"I'm going to need money to pay that whooping $20,000 a month child support I've been ordered to pay", or;

"I'm going to go out and have a blast spending all this money TLC is giving me."

Yawn:

Kate Gosselin – Another Day Another Tanning Session – Pics!

Kate Gosselin should move to a warmer state. That way she could just simply be outside year round and get a natural tan. The money she would save by not going to the salon all the time could solve our national economic crisis. Or at the very least, her own financial dilemma.

Kate was definitely in a rush yesterday as she left the salon. She couldn’t even put on her coat! She dashed off to her car with her arms full of things that one would normally put in a handbag. Unfortunately Kate chose the smallest purse for going out. Is her brain just completely addled by the fact that her embarrassing camping efforts on the Sarah Palin show, is set to air next week? Something is amiss. Do you miss your kids? No wait, that couldn’t be it. What’s up Kate?

-------------------

So, I guess this means she's headed back to LA today so she can cover SWTS for ET? It's odd that ET never even mentioned SWTS last week, did they? I was kind of hoping that they decided not to bother covering it anymore because the ratings were lousy.

Tell it to the sheeple who still actually think that's Kate's mom.

I don't think the FCC gives a rip if Kate + 8 is on or not? LOL

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Actually the FCC is exactly who you would report misrepresentation of ratings to. But like you said does the FCC "give a rip" about Kate? I should hope not!

This was a one-time incident. Let's say they started doing this every week, baiting and switching multiple programs in an attempt to get better ratings. Other programs up against this show could conceivably complain to the FCC because it can mess up how accurate the ratings are as to everyone else.

Here's a tip to TLC--make good programming and you'll get good ratings. It's as simple as that.

More news about Kate. So much is coming out, I'm beginning to wonder what the heck is going on. How could so many sources be coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden...or is there one source mad as hell and is telling all:

Kate Gosselin Is Suing Her Ex-Husband Jon For Child Support While She Lives A Lavish Life!

Wayward: Understood. I didn't single out part of your post to criticize you. I just wanted to point out that we believe what we believe. If we choose to accept some posters are legit, then that's our choice. They may be credible, they may not be. Some people insisted that Kate's mom blogging was, in fact, Kate's mom. Others disputed it with a passion. If we want to believe it, fine; if not, we will deem them a fake.
My point is that so many posts are generic and could have been written by anyone. Conversely, they very well could be written by someone actually close to the situation who cannot identify themselves.
