Kate's Los Angeles trip: 'The pressure was getting to' the kids

Kate is spending the days before Thanksgiving in Los Angeles. She's been on the Skating With the Stars beat for Entertainment Tonight (Skating turned out to be a gigantic ratings flop), was spotted with Tony She-Never-Calls-Me-Back Dovolani (awkward) in the audience of Skating With the Stars, and now was in the front row for the Dancing With the Stars finale.

Day 1 on ET: The kids want Kyle to win, says Kate. But Kate feels a "kinship" with Bristol and that Bristol does not have any kind of unfair advantage. (Note: Please do not spoil the winner until 11 p.m. Pacific Coast time)

Day 2 on ET: Kate says there's been "here or there" a "somebody cropping up." Twist of Kate is not cancelled at all, Kate says. "We're still trying to shape it what it needs to be and what is going to be fun." Kate? They're stringing you along.

"The pressure was getting" to the kids, "then you have the divorce angle mixed into that," Kate says when asked about the children being expelled. What pressure? They are six! Why should they have pressure at six years old? Clearly Kate is talking about pressure other than the divorce, as she says the pressure and the divorce angle.

Hey cool, after being a long time lurker you guys linked my video.

I just uploaded her day 2 interview. They were supposed to address the expelled rumor, but just put it in another tease for tomorrow. Today just shows her backstage, talking about dating rumors and the fate of twist of kate (not canceled according to Kate, just being shaped into the shape it needs to be in).

After listening to the interview, it sounds as if she is going to say that for the kids sake, she pulled them out of school to help them cope with their anger issues stemming from the divorce.

Yes when someone went off the script and asked her about how the new child labor laws could affect filming, she definitely reached under the table to hit the panic button. Must have been so frightening!

In seriousness, I heard the only people who really scare her are a few "over-zealous" fans, per Steve.

They really are so creepy. It's the fans who are chasing down Kate and harrassing her kids at airports and on their vacations taking cell phone pics, shouting their names at them, and so on. One word: CREEPY. I've met Kate once in my life, at an event that the public was INVITED to at a book signing.

My mom lives more than six hours away from her. I'm far more likely to see her in LA, why aren't they concerned about that? I've had a dozen opportunities to see her on DWTS and events she's done in LA and so on, but I don't care to. She's not my idol, she's theirs. Anyway Kate should know L.A. is so yesterday, I was here five years ago when it was cool. :)

And if someone ever did that to her they would find it creepy and disturbing. But it's okay to do it to your own child, your own baby that you carried inside you.

So disgusting.

As long as the kids are with Jon I could care less what D list shows Kate wants to grace her presence with. If the kids are with nannies, she should indeed be ashamed to leave them alone when they are front page news on all the major tabloids this week.

I shuddered too when I saw her in the front row. There is something intrinsically repulsive about Kate. I think it is the fact there is nothing genuine about her. She has 8 kids but she doesn't mother them, she has a body but most of it is fake, she has a normal speaking voice but the one she uses on tv is not it. And with that mane of straw, orange skin and blistering white teeth, the overall look is UGH. Shiver. Repulsive. It is obvious she is under some contract with Disney/ABC as she keeps mentioning her kids and Disney tv shows in the same grammatically incorrect sentences. Lets just hope she goes to Venice soon and asks the gondola driver to Submerse her in their culture.

Uugh, I haven't watched DWTS in a few seasons, but I just had to tune in last night, poor me. I was subjected to Khate's mug in the audience at least a half dozen times. She was sitting next to Mary Hart from Entertainment Tonight. Most of the times they showed her, she was yakking to Mary and/or laughing at something (big, wide open mouth). Honestly, we never see her this happy unless she's doing things like this. Not once have we seen true joy and happiness when she’s with her kids. It's almost like she's a different person when she's out in L.A. What a joke that the super mom of eight, (that's eight kids ya know), can be away all week right before Thanksgiving, not to mention at a time when her children seem to be going through such turmoil. I guess she'll waltz back into the big house, (mine all mine), some time this afternoon with all the Thanksgiving prep having been done by the hired hands. Hey, she pays people to raise her kids, so no big deal, she can pay people to do all the Thanksgiving stuff too. Then, she can just waltz onto the set and play the part of mom as she usually does. That’s the way she likes it.

One of the things that I've found most disturbing in all of this is that Khate has never bothered to give the kids a sense of normalcy and stability. After the crazy tumultuous year that they went through last year with the divorce and all the tabloid stuff, she immediately ran out to L.A. early this year for DWTS. It was documented on this blog how she spent the first several months of this year going back and forth, often home only for two or three days at a time. I imagine her kids waking up some days and asking what day is it, is mom here today, when is she coming back again? Kids that age like to know what to expect and they like a routine. Then when DWTS ended, she went right back to filming the TLC show and started dragging the kids all over to make the episodes. It was a long, hectic summer of flying all over, shooting the show, etc. Damn, even when they were home, they had to work, filming episodes of the back to school shopping. School starts and you think she'd want to settle into a schedule and a routine for the kids, but no, here we go again. Even with two of the kids now being home schooled, she’s off doing her thing. It’s really unbelievable. Have those kids ever had a normal routine and schedule for even a few months? You don’t have to be a psychologist to know that that’s what they needed after last year’s craziness and the divorce. It’s a shame that its still is always all about her.

Does anyone here remember reading an article (on the net) about Kate shaking Mady so hard in Alaska (when they were with the Palins) that Todd Palin's staff wanted to report her to authorities? I cannot find it and I KNOW I read it. If anyone else read it or knows how to find it again, please let me know.

It also said she verbally abused Steve when he forgot to bring her cell phone out to her and that the Palins said they would not report her to authorities in PA (for child abuse)....IF she left that evening and gave no interviews regarding this.

And it also said....the Palins wanted the footage they took of the whole incident destroyed...and the camera-men refused to destroy it. So they did save it for some reason....and possibly still plan to show it on one of the two shows(?)

I cannot find the article, though I know it was on the net somewhere....unless either TLC had it removed....or the Palins had it removed because they did not want to look like they were willing to overlook child abuse and did not report it. And if that was the reason, I shudder to think of just how bad it was.

And why can't he stay with them at "their" house?

As Kate said when Tony had enough of her insanity on DWTS and quit, her reply was "I don't get it." Big surprise, she doesn't get anything that indicates that she has major issues.

One of the definitions of "immerse" is "to engage wholly and deeply," so I agree, that's the word she intended to use. However, using the definitions of "submerse" above...

She said, "There just something about a competition where you've got to submerse yourself and give it your all." I.e., in "Dancing With the Stars," she was in over her head, sinking, drowning, plagued with woes, and wishing to hide. LOL. Yeah, that pretty much describes it! Maybe it was a Freudian slip... :)

You know, even if she does say this, how is pulling your kids out of school good parenting? If your kid's going through a rough patch, you get counseling (for the kids and for the parents), work with the school to find solutions, and cut back on or eliminate any extraneous sources of stress, but who in their right mind starts off by cutting out school? What message is she sending to her kids? That school just isn't that important! Filming one's private life to entertain the millions however is apparently a non-negotiable...

Guess I need to fire off a letter to ET. If they're going to discuss the children's issues on air to boost ratings, they're guilty of child exploitation too. Another show to scratch off my list.

I accidentally caught her being WAY too chummy with Mary Hart on Entertainment Tonight (11/23/10) - doing the faux interviews where EVERYONE told her she looked so good... (GAG!)

OF course this could have been AFTER they saw her before hair and makeup??

Anyway, what really made me about lose my dinner was her sitting at the ET glass desk with Hart all happy.... EEK!

Again, if this keeps her in the money without using the kids....I can live without watching ET

She was also standing next to Hart at Dancing with the Stars in the front row....not near Palin's clan at all.

You're a mean one, Mrs. Gosselin said...

I came across a transcript of Kate's appearance on ET last night. What a load of coached, fluffy BS!! And as always, she showed again she is the master of not directly answering questions and twisting words. Here are some highlights:

Mary asks Kate if the children were expelled and Kate answers, "Two of my children, no, are being tutored at home, with a teacher who is working closely with our kindergarten teachers in school, doing the identical curriculum."

She doesn't answer the question yes or no, because the answer is yes. So she says "Two of my children, no, are being tutored at home......" She slips the "no" in there for effect, but she doesn't answer directly. Sheeple: this was the GOLDEN opportunity you've all been waiting for, for Kate to flatly deny the kids were expelled. She didn't answer. Because the kids were expelled. Oh and by the way Kate? You've been yammering on about the kid's "anger" for over a year now. If all the kids were getting the proper therapy they need for this anger, shouldn't their behavior problems be improving, not escalating?

"The goal is to get them back into school as soon as possible."

Snarky Translation: How DARE that school expell MY children. I've paid a fortune to that school, they are PAID to put up with whatever problems my kids caused. I am looking to put all eight into a new school as soon as possible, one that will appreciate the privlege of dealing with an important celebrity such as myself and that will put up & shut up.

Kate also responds to other rumors, like one that her upcoming TLC show, "Twist of Kate," had been canceled. Kate says, that no, it wasn't canceled, adding, "We're sort of still trying to shape it [into] what it needs to be and what is going to be fun. So no, not canceled."

Snarky Translation: Ummmm, yeah I'm getting sick of this question. TLC wanted me to have a show about doing jobs the unfamousish people do. I said no, I want the show to be about me and Steve going to 5 star resorts but TLC won't do it. That's what I do. I travel while TLC films it and pays for it. Then they wanted me to go to fans houses and help them with their lives. What don't they get!!??- I don't "do" people. I don't want to do anything where I have to be with gross, regular, poor people. TLC won't budge and neither will I. So that's why "Twist of Kate" keeps getting talked about but nothing's happening. I also suggested a show where I dress in designer outfits and go to Target stores all over the country. They didn't like that idea either.

Thanks h84Kate for posting these clips! They're both disturbing and revealing.

I posted part two and now arrogant Kate is saying that the pressure was getting to the kids. If your kids have "pressure" at six years old, maybe something needs to change??? Just a thought.

And before her followers say she is talking about the pressure from Jon and the divorce, actually no. Because she said it was pressure AND the divorce, not the pressure OF the divorce. Who knew we'd have to thank Kate for settling that argument. It wasn't all the divorce or all Jon's fault that caused this incident.

This is what I have been thinking all week - this is Thanksgiving week, a time for FAMILY, togetherness, food, FAMILY. And where is this ditz - oh, out in LaLa land soaking up what she thinks is her fame and fortune rights. Pressure, stress, divorce, oh yes, her kids have all that and where is the Good Mom this week? Not with them.

And tomorrow when families, dysfunctional, intact, not intact, whatever, sit down for this holiday meal, where is the extended family for these children - they have aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents, just not in their lives because of the crazy person who is their Good Mom. For this I really feel a deep sorrow, and yes, more than just a bit of anger for the woman who is supposedly raisin them.

But actually I also want to wish all of you caring people a wonderful holiday, as I am sure many will be sharing it with family, imperfect as they may be, they are still our families.

The kids would fall apart? How unhealthy is it your kids self-esteem is tied up to a TELEVISION SHOW? She thinks she is defending herself but she just makes their entire lives look completely pathetic and dysfunctional. How about kids fall apart when they lose their dog, or Grandma passes away, or they don't make the school play? But over a TV show? Get a grip, Kate.

And remember they weren't on TV all of last year because of the lawsuits going on. At least they didn't get expelled from pre-school.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

A follow-up question to the children feeling "pressure" is how does being 3000 miles away from them help them heal? But Mary Hart would never go there.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

By the way having spent my entire career in family law, a standard holidays order is that Mom gets odd years and Dad gets even. Unless Dad is in prison or out of the country, this is just a fair way to do it.

But now Kate gets Thanksgiving last year, an odd year, and this year, too, an even year. And she's not even home this week. I don't think any attorney even 10% competent would accept that, I certainly wouldn't, so the only thing I can think when it comes to Jon is that he is picking his battles. She really is so greedy. She is not even with home but she wants the kids this week. Because like we've said before, it's not about Kate being with the kids, it's about taking the kids from Jon.

kate's scary said...

Wow, they're still shaping Twisted Kate into what it's supposed to be a year later according to Kate. I can understand that, though. There's probably a growing list of things Kate cannot do and/or refuses to do.

TLC says their show is about "Family, Home, Style and Cooking."

1-Family - In shambles with 8 kids exhibiting various stages of anger and stress, two of whom cannot handle kindergarten;

2-Home - Isn't that the place she stays away from?;

3-Style - BWAAAAHAAAAHAAAA

4-Cooking - Hmmmmm, if you ignore that she is sending her kids to school with rancid sandwiches, perhaps she could help harried moms with her EGG recipes, 'cause hot damn, those egg salad sandwiches slathered onto big, doughy buns with a spatula sure looked lip smackin' good.

In production for a whole year...have they suggested to Kate that she submerse herself into her work? She sounded all about that!

To I am Me -

So you think that flying in on Wednesday, the day before the holiday, as if YOU are the guest, means she hasn't abandoned her kids. What a laugh. She has abandoned them over and over, pre-divorce, post divorce, in oh so many ways. I am the mom at my house, and I have been 'doing' this holiday for well over a week, so yes, I find it curious that she continues to show no interest in holidays. I never said that she has 'abandoned' them for Thanksgiving, however. And by no interest in holiday, I really mean surrounding her children with the family that they have and are now cut off from their lives. But, let's take a look at recent holidays - Halloween, we shopped for costumes two days prior and only for the cameras, cue visit to maze here too. Christmas we all know is filmed on a day good for the cameras. I rest that case.

I also find it curious that she manages to get these holidays, and is not really sharing with the kid's father - perhaps Admin is right in that he is choosing his battles, I would that to be the case rather than the scenario of having the worst family lawyer in PA.

And while I usually refrain from commenting on personal appearances, her behavior this week compells me to add that I think she looks like crap sitting on the ET couch (ET what panderers they are). But happy crap, the happy she only gets when the cameras are on her alone - oh Mr. deMille . . .

fidosmommy said...

1) "You've got to overwhelm yourself and give it your all"? What does that mean? I think she simply picked the wrong word from her bag
o'words.

2) Kids get embarrassed by their parents all the time. Sometimes just a small thing does the trick. My dad once burped in front of my friends after drinking a ginger ale and I was humiliated for days. If he had gone on national TV and done it, I would have left home.
Kids know what is cool and they know what is just plain embarrassing. Everyone (and that's not too much exaggeration) is still talking about Kate's clomp around the dance floor which was truly a mess. I'm certain her kids still hear about it from time to time, like every time
it gets mentioned on TV or in a magazine.

3) 6 year old stress should be no more than hoping your parents don't burp in front of your friends, whether Karen or Joey likes you as a friend, and if it's going to rain on Saturday so you can't play outside. They should not be having to deal with adult problems such as these
kids are being asked to deal with.

kHate has no interest in spending quality family time with her kids. She always finds some reason to be away. Can you imagine her sitting down to read them a story, play a board game?

What is sad, is that while she jets around trying to cling to her D-list status she cant let their father spend time with the kids. The narcissist in her is petrified that Jon might become more liked than her to the kids.

A normal pair of divorced parents would see the benefits of having a parent with the kids as much as possible. If you cant do it then embrace the other spending time with them - after all you are BOTH parents are you not?

But kHate would rather have the paid, hired help monitor her children than let Jon do it. It has nothing to do with the size of his place, or the girl he is dating. It would mean kHate losing control for a few days and deprive her sick mind from being the puppetmaster.

I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s Kate’s off-the-charts-arrogance that keeps me so vehemently “anti-Kate.” If she would just once drop the act and admit she’s human and has the same problems as other parents in America. Try this, Kate: Yes, my kids were expelled, no my kids and I are not perfect, yes, I’m concerned and upset but I’m getting good advice and support and I would like to keep the details as private as possible. She misses every opportunity to connect on a level with the public. She just HAS TO BE BETTER. Her arrogance is hurting, not helping, her image IMO.

I really feel for the Gosselin kids regarding what they may or may not want shown about themselves on tv for all their friends, family and even strangers to see. They have no choice on whether something embarrassing to them is shown to the entire viewing audience and on DVD or youtube for years to come.

Example: We just took our girls to Disney World on vacation and we went on the Soarin' ride. They tell everyone wearing flip-flops to take them off. My girls weren't wearing flip-flops, they were wearing crocs that day and they never just fall off their feet so they left them on.

Well, on the ride my 6-year-old actually kicked one of her crocs off. (No idea what inspired her to do that.) Anyway, she looks at me in terror and says My shoe!

Anyway, long story short... we had to wait (with her wearing only one shoe) for the next TWO rides to finish before they got her shoe for us.

She was so embarrassed. We tried to tell her it wasn't a big deal and it was even something that we could all laugh at one day. She did NOT agree. She was mortified. She made me PROMISE not to tell anyone, not her aunts or cousins or even friends that were meeting us in Disney. She wanted no one that she knows to know. If this wasn't "anonymous" I wouldn't even being telling the story here. ;)

There's also been times that I've done a video clip of something she did and she makes me promise not to show anyone.

Anyway, my point is that even little things that seem silly or funny or "natural" or just cute to adults (let alone the things that are actually considered embarrassing) can be devastatingly embarrassing to a 6-year-old.

Who knows what footage has been shown that the Gosselin kids will be upset about... now or in the future.

I don't think they even "get" that so many people are actually viewing them, but one day they will.

This is a full summary that will be broadcasted TONIGHT (Wed.) with Mary Hart and Kate on ET.

Mary asks Kate if the children were expelled and Kate answers, "Two of my children, no, are being tutored at home, with a teacher who is working closely with our kindergarten teachers in school, doing the identical curriculum."

Recently divorced Kate says, "The pressure was getting to them," explaining, "You have the divorce anger mixed in with that." But the mom stresses, "The goal is to get them back into school as soon as possible."

Kate also responds to other rumors, like one that her upcoming TLC show, "Twist of Kate," had been canceled. Kate says, that no, it wasn't canceled, adding, "We're sort of still trying to shape it [into] what it needs to be and what is going to be fun. So no, not canceled."

With Thanksgiving coming up Thursday, Kate also shares how the kids will be dividing holiday time between her and ex Jon. "We have been able to work out the holiday time peacefully," she tells Mary. "So I will have the first half, he will have the second half, and, we just take it year by year, and holiday by holiday."

You can catch Kate and the kids on a new "Kate Plus Eight" special, which airs this Sunday on TLC.

Kate also says that no way is "Kate Plus 8" going to be cancelled". In fact, she said and I quote, "that my kids would fall apart if filming stopped". And Kate said that they have many, many plans and ideas for "Kate Plus 8" in the future.

It is currently on ET's website as of 12/36pm Central time. Everyone please go to ET facebook and blast Kate. Let ET know what you think of her horrible interviewing skills. Remember our comments worked last time on ET's Facebook because they cancelled Kate as their correspondent for Dancing with the Stars and moved her to special correspondent for the much less poplular show Skating with the Stars.

She got the wrong word. In the context of the sentence, "immerse" is the word to use. She meant that one totally devotes oneself to the task at hand, throws himself into it in a positive way. Exactly! Ha, she really slipped there. My, oh my, doesn't that statement reveal the truth? This isn't some cute little "reality" show that just follows Khate and her kids along as they go about their normal lives. Rather, a whole production team sits down at a table and brainstorms ideas of things they can have the kids do and places they can go for the express and sole purpose of CREATING TELEVISION EPISODES. It's sickening!

To find the screen shot of Kate at DWTS opening with Mary Hart you can go to: Hulu.com website. It is the finale episode. Kate stands up after the 4 minute mark. Her dress is appalling. It is hugging her body and clearly shows the outline of her groin and "private triangle area". Don't know how else to describe it!! It is very clingly. You can hit the stop bottom to glare at it. A split second later she shifts her body position to stand more upright,if you hit the stop button at the bottom of the screen you can see that angle also. The camera stays on her for a few seconds too. ALso I don't know for certain but the ABC website of DWTS probably has the episode too.

Kate's arrogance really is out of this world. She and TLC can come up with all the ideas in the world for the "reality" show Kate Plus 8 and they can retool as much as they want Twisted Kate, but if the ratings aren't there, the shows are going to get cancelled. She is fooling herself if she thinks TLC doesn't know exactly the direction these shows are going and if they have a breaking point with this. As soon as it doesn't make them money she's gone, period.

Even the most narcissistic stars realize it sounds much more humble to start with something like "as long as the audience still wants to watch us we'll keep trying to come up with new things." Who is her PR team anyway? Maybe they're trying to get her to say something like that but it's too hard for her.

There was nothing wrong with her choice of words. You can submerse yourself both literally (in liquid) and figuratively.

I've checked out both the several dictionaries and the thesauruses on line and don't see any way you can get submerse to fit what she was trying to convey. She is just plan ignorant and thank goodness she is not the one teaching those two little ones back at the orphanage. They were having enough troubles without her being their teacher. I sure bet she gave the school an earful like she did Tony about how it's their fault the children were having issues though. The goal may be to have them back enrolled in school asap, but, I can't imagine it being LCDS. They'd be crazy to take them back and continue to deal with the Krazy Katie Kreider (?Krieder?).
I'm horrified she is claiming the children would fall apart if the damn cameras went away. They seemed fine during the hiatus. She might fall apart but she may anyway once she realizes she's not the superstar she thinks she is. Why ET wants to drive away viewers by having her inarticulate drivel aired by them is beyond my comprehension but I don't see many more of these types of opportunities coming along in the future. She's a monster mom, snooty diva and plain ignorant, why hook yourself to such a disaster? There can't be too many other entities that are eager to have egg on their faces by implying they support an abusive horror of a mother. At least I would hope not.

Not necessarily. Lower School officials, according to a source in the news article in the local paper, said that they weren't expelled. It's a matter of semantics. Kindergarteners aren't expelled; that term is not used. There may be voluntary withdrawal, or mandatory withdrawal. She could have denied that they were expelled, and technically she would have been correct, and she could have had her statement backed up. She stayed away from talking about school policy. However, if she would have denied that they were expelled, then that would have opened a can of worms and she'd have to explain that she didn't withdraw them voluntarily, but that she was told that they had to be taken out of school.

Any show that has Kate on it (access, Insider, ET, etc.) is NEVER going to ask anything but softball questions that Kate can answer with any spin she wants. It's all about ratings and for some reason they think she is still bringing them in. Plus she is such a diva (in her mind) she probably has a list of things that are off limits.

For the life of me, I don't understand how she can honestly say with a straight face that the "kids will fall apart w/o Kate +8" I hope Jon is doing SOMETHING behind the scenes to reel this talentless hack in.

You notice how the sheeple can never argue any point without calling into question Jon and/or Ellen and thier looks or work ethics? I may be mistaken, but didn't the divorce happen 1.5 years ago? How long is she going to use that excuse?

Anonymous said...

She said, "The pressure was getting to the kids, then you have the divorce angle mixed into that". So, there are two components here "the pressure" and "the divorce angle". She is admitting that even without the divorce the children were experiencing pressure. We are talking about six year old children who are (were) in kindergarten who should not be feeling pressure. As a nurse she should know the youngsters need help and, while it's good to know they have one of their dogs back, they need professional help. I would suggest the same for her but, knowing how she considers herself perfect, I don't think it would do any good.

Somebody "in the know" about this particular private school might be able to answer this.

If a student is withdrawn by a parent (not expelled per se but withdrawn under duress) for behavior problems, is there an opportunity to re-enroll that same child in the same school later in the year if the problems have been addressed? I've personally never heard of such a thing except in cases where the child had no control, such as illness or such.

If a student is indeed expelled from this school, can the child be re-enrolled later in the year if measures have been taken to correct the problem?

Around here, once you are expelled you are expelled forever from the school district. You have to pay tuition to go into the next county for your public education. Private schools are the same way here.

we also predicted it would stop being a 'private matter' as soon as they figured out how to spin it and she could get paid for the interviews.

we also predicted that Kate would make a career of jumping from one dlist reality show to the next. Her TRUE goal IMO is to star in a Diva Housewives show of her own. The Pennsylvania home address is what is holding her back, it likely isnt glamourous enough for that.

Although, "THE Diva Fake Housewife (singular) of Wernersville" does indeed have a hysterical ring to it! After all, parking lot prancing is her main activity!

I caught two seconds of Kate's ET interview tonight with Mary Hart. Kate was the one having trouble breathing and needed to take a deep breath during the interview. Her "answers" were obviously scripted and she was annoyed with the questioning. I don't know Mary Hart's age, but Kate looks older.

I find it pretty amusing seeing Mary Hart and Kart Kreider chumming it up during DWTS. Mary Hart is a 60 yr old entertainment host who is being nudged aside and replaced by a much younger woman, and Kate is a 35 yr old wannabee, never will be, fame-chaser who LIVES to see her face on television. Mary Hart has had to spend her whole career sucking up to the real stars, and now to get attention she has to suck up to the horrific Kate Kreider. She smiles away, as usual, but I bet it galls her. It shows how fast Mary Hart's reputation is sinking, and here we have Kate Gosselin, grasping onto that sinking ship with all her might.

May they both "submerse" themselves into a speedy retirement.

Mary, you jumped the shark. You look desperate. Go gracefully.

Kart, try to hug your children w/o hurting them. Even your affection is violent.

If the kids weren't expelled isn't she then a horrible mother for not taking a golden opportunity to tell everyone to stop dragging her kids through the mud with these vicious lies? Even their own mother won't defend her children. Except, it's true and she can't tell us it isn't.

Not necessarily. Lower School officials, according to a source in the news article in the local paper, said that they weren't expelled

I thought the school policy was that the school officials did not comment on students' enrollment status.

Anon725 said...

If a student is withdrawn by a parent (not expelled per se but withdrawn under duress) for behavior problems, is there an opportunity to re-enroll that same child in the same school later in the year if the problems have been addressed?

********************

Duress, as in pressure or coercion? This would be mandatory withdrawal, when the school says, "The child can no longer attend classes here." No ifs, ands or buts. In that case, it's not in the hands of the parents, and the parents have no decision in the matter. Some schools may call this expulsion.

The difficulty in answering your questions is that technically, kids are not "expelled" in Kindergarten. Returning to classes, then, is decided on a case by case basis. It is not a "yes" or "no" answer. There would be so many circumstances that would need to be taken into consideration, such as the severity of the offense if it involved bad behavior; whether it was just a matter of the child not being ready socially or academically for Kindergarten; or both of the above (bad behavior and behind in academics).

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I just watched ET actually I think Kate is denying they were "expelled" but she does confirm the kids are being tutored at home and needed a breather from school. Like we said sounds like everyone sat around and said "do you want us to expel them or do you want to voluntarily withdraw them?" In any case if you have to pull your child out of kindergarten, do you think something might be wrong?

Anyone else find it ironic they on ET tonight they did a montage of child stars who tragically died?

Absolutely totally untrue. There are private schools in the area that would take these kids, and public schools MUST accept them. However, if the school to which the child is applying asks why the child was withdrawn from the school, the school must give it a copy of the child's records.

It is so frustrating to read comments like the one above that come from someone who has no knowledge of the reason for withdrawal, the circumstances around it, or the policy of schools in the area in regards to admitting children who have left one school system.

"Check with your schools in your area and I can guarantee you the answer will be NO."

___________________________________

You can't guarantee that at all. I know for a fact, beyond the proverbial shadow of a doubt, that there ARE schools that will accept children who left a school system because of expulsion. It has happened here, and continues to happen.

No matter how the sheeple want to spin it, the kids are 6 yrs, 6 mos old which is typically the age of kids halfway through 1st grade. They were in prekindergarten to prepare them for kindergarten, weren't they; because they weren't "ready" for kindergarten according to Kate? And yet a full school year of prekindergarten wasn't enough preparation for them, Kate would have us believe.

The normal questions one asks is what was lacking in the time they were in prekindergarten that they're still not ready for a kindergarten program. I'd like to see a sheeple seriously ponder this instead of knee-jerking and repeating Kate's mantra. Is the school failing other kindergartners? We're not talking about a strenuous curriculum at that age. What is the school's track record in getting kids successfully through kindergarten?

It is disturbing to hear that the kids allegedly are falling apart, even though I seriously doubt kids care. It is normal to be concerned with soccer games and school friends, not your mother's reality tv show. Not normal, Kate. You try to defend yourself and you just make your whole family look so dysfunctional.

Good point about the kids falling apart because perhaps they know Kate goes on a rampage when she isn't allowed to film and exploit them. It's scary to think what last year was like when they couldn't film while Jon was fighting for them in the courts.

These are smart kids and they know Kate has to have what she wants. Falling apart makes much more sense now.

No. Absolutely not. You have to remember that this is a progressive school, with a 100 percent four-year college and university acceptance rate among graduates, many of whom go to Ivy League schools. Kids who would do well in another private school, or a public school may not be on track with other Kindergarteners at this school.

If these kids needed extra help to prepare them for Kindergarten, perhaps instead of dragging them all over the country this summer, she should have hired a tutor for them. All the "culturing" in the world and trips to the Statue of Liberty aren't going to make one bit of difference if a child isn't academically prepared for Kindergarten.

I don't have to call and check anywhere. I know two private schools right now that will accept these kids. Why do you insist on saying this is a fact when you have no knowledge of the schools in this area? You don't know that "expulsion" has gone on their record. It could have gone down as "withdrawal," in which case whether or not any school will accept them isn't even applicable.

Home school is not the only option. These kids don't even need to be enrolled in ANY school until they are eight years old! There is also the option of enrolling them in a public school in their district, which is in another county, or a charter school. And yes, they would be accepted there.

AuntieAnn said...

As usual Kate didn't really answer the question. ET isn't live so she had time to formulate her answer to the expulsion issue ahead of airing and even then they probably had to do a few more takes before she got her story straight...and that's when she comes off more phony than ever. But you can tell it's hard for her to mask her absolute disgust at answering questions about her kids that expose her fucked up parenting. Whenever she's asked off the cuff about anything like that her face noticeably darkens.

I didn't see today's ET, but if they did a montage of tragically deceased child stars it would have gone completely over that narcissists head. She just doesn't get what her 'goal-setting dreams' are doing to her kids.

And I totally agree with Pam. I can only imagine what kind of rage Kate would go into if filming ceased again. They must live in fear of her mood swings. The Freedom Countdown isn't coming fast enough for any of them.

Not that Kate would ever take her skiing, but she might pawn Cara off on some "famous" person if they allowed filming.
Doubt I'll ever tune into SWTS or ET again but I have to say Mary Hart looks much better and does a better job of interviewing then Kate. Maybe Mary enjoys the break, but she certainly doesn't need to worry that Kate will be taking her position anytime soon.

maggie said...

If you go back and look at the bottom ET clip (at the top of this thread) and count the seconds that Kate is ACTUALLY interviewing the Skating With the Stars contestants, the time is about 60 seconds. I am referring to the amount of time she is talking to Bethany, Jonny, etc. I honestly think ET could not have edited her interviewing skill any worse than they did.

There is zero commentary about their actually performance on the ice and their skating thoughts that evening. Afterall, Kate's job is to talk to them about them. Instead ET edited the piece to be ALL about her and her stupid comments, faces, and screams. I really think ET purposely set out to make Kate look as bad as possible. You know that Kate must have talked with the skaters much longer than was shown. I think there is much, much truth that ET had promised Kate a "special correspondent" position when she was much more popular during the earlier spring when she was on Dancing with the Stars. And they had to pull Kate off the assignment of her covering DWTS Season 11 and instead replaced her with Neicy Nash due to the horrible backlash Kate's plunge in popularity. Now I think ET really wants to severe ties with Kate and is giving her very minimal air time as a special correspondent on Skating With The Stars. And they are editing her "interviewing" skills in the WORST possible way to showcase what a bufoon she is. Any thoughts about this?

Karen said...

Is it possible that the kids are so afraid of what Kate would do to them if they stopped filming that they go along with whatever she says? I would imagine that yes, they would fall apart if filming stopped because it happened once, and I guess she didn't make it too pleasant for them. Can you imagine being a kid and having to listen to her ranting and raving about how bad their father was because he was the one responsible for shutting down the cameras?

They saw it happen before; they don't want it to happen again. I guess for them it's the lesser of two evils. Either they film and appease their mother, or they refuse to be filmed and be subjected to her wrath. This might be the cause of their "pressure."

I think the tabloid TV shows just don't care about the "truth". They only report what is gossip and is the most drama about any celeb. They reference ROL stories that are clearly made up with "sources" that can never be verified. PR spin is a funny thing. They probably teach you # 1 rule is to deny or avoid the question altogether. It seems like all shows on TV now think that drama or a train wreck personality is required to have the ratings. Thats why it's enjoyable to watch Amazing Race each week. The tension is real and the show is fun.

The "kids would fall apart" comment is a load of hooey. We all know Kate does not claim responsibility for anything that doesn't shed her in the best light possible. Because there's controversy about the continuation of the show, it's the kids fault she HAS to continue. She had to do DWTS because the kids needed her to, she has to travel the country shrieking at real celebrities because the kids want her to, the kids are having behavorial issues because of the divorce (aka Jon), she had to bring back the dog because of the therapist, and so on and so on... She always has someone to blame for every decision she makes.

I doubt the kids were consulted about the show or that she even bothers to listen to their feedback (had she done so the show would have been shut down years ago when Mady had had enough). Kate makes the decisions and uses them as her scapegoats for everything. The tirades on Kate + 8 ("I'm in control and that's NOT going to change!!") should be evidence enough that Kate doesn't allow the children to make any decisions for themselves, so it begs the question why anyone would swallow her lies that she lets them decide the filming schedule or what jobs she's going to take.

I would so so love a real journalist to take on Kate. So far only Lisa Ling has dared confront Kate with a real question (though quickly shot down thanks to Barbara Walters). The melt down would be spectacular. That's my Christmas wish... Santa, you listenin'?

Even with her stressing the fact that they have a tutor, this does NOT expalin why they have to be tutored AT HOME!! I don't think a child who is having trouble ACADEMICALLY is removed from the school. For those kids to have been either "voluntarily removed" or "expelled" (semantics) it was because they were being PHYSICAL. She's making it sound like it's all ladida, they're just getting a little breather from the stresses of school...ladida...The school and parents along with the tutor would be working TOGETHER at the school to give these kids the help they need. They had to have those kids removed because there is NO TOLERANCE FOR BULLYING.

2. That one of the Gosselin children was already suspended...did not say if it was a tup or a twin (or if it was the 2 who had to be taken out of the school...possibly expelled)....and the way it was written made it sound like this suspension happened earlier in this school year.

The pressure was getting to the kids. What pressure?

1) The pressure to film endlessly to please their mother.
2) The pressure to go along with their mother's decision to keep them in the never ending spotlight in spite of the children's and Jon's desire to stop filming.
3) The pressure to appreciate that your mother would rather have "nannies" than their father Jon watch them while she goes about trying to claim fame and glory.
4) The pressure that your mother did not properly prepare you for full-time school, other than on film. Camera shuts off, mom gone, nannies step in.
5)The pressure that your mom says you won't go to heaven because you were expelled (WTF?)
6)The pressure that your mother will NEVER EVER put you first while trying to be famous, and says that the kids would "fall apart without K Plus 8." What does this say about her as a parent? Frightening and sadisitic. These kids can not function without a film crew?

This woman is seriously mentally ill, and hazardous to her own children. I am starting to think she has Borderline Personality Disorder. This does not exclude NPDO, as many of the Axis I and Axis II diagnoses can co-exist. God help these kids!

I think the newest line out of Kates mouth that is the most telling of her bizarre need for fame: "Oh goodness no, the Kids would fall apart if we didn't continue to film" OMG! I can't believe she said that! She is such a fool. At what point will the children NOT fall apart after filming stops? Oh wait, they are already there. Seems to me "playing" in front of the cameras has some side effects.

I think Kate said the fall apart statement hoping that TLC was listening and would be kind to her and the kids and film forever! Yea, that'll happen. I think TLC is ultimately worried about egg on thier face. If they say that TOK is cancelled then everyone will say "I told you so" and they also realize that kate is like a bad dye job, it takes awhile to go away or you just cut it off and start new. They are just wringing out the last bit of drama from her.

It always comes back to a line I read somehwere: Kate is not gracious about what she has, she feels more entitled the more people drink from the Koolaid called "Kate".

Reporter - Really? that is odd? why would children be so upset about not having to work?

K- Oh well...they play in front of the camera, and they LOVE the crew.

R- Couldn't they visit the crew, when they are not working? would you keep them from their friends? I mean especially considering they have so few, if any family members that are still in their lives? I would think a mother would want to nuture relationships that are special to them?

K - Oh well...um...and the trips we go on! I am a mother of eightcountemeight kids and I could never afford to go on trips. My children deserve things on a golden platter. And I do DWTS and don't have enough money yet, and the college, you know....(smoke begins to seep out of Kart's ears)

R- Ok, well my parents didn't have a lot of money and we stil went on weekend trips. Trips don't have to cost a lot...besides most children would rather visit with friends and swim, then go on several vacations a year. I mean (laughs) most jobs get vacation days! Have you asked them, and listend to their responses, about what they would like?

K- Well *humph* I am famous-ish now, so I need to keep working, and hospitals are not money, and er...nursing all night..and for my kids...and not expelled..and...and....STEVE!!! Steve I need you....

Steve enters....

Steve- sorry mam, I am going to have to remind you that Ms.Gosselin, a single mother of eight children and my love...er I mean client..will only answer questions that are prescripted. This interview is over.

That, and then there's that pesky little detail of her not actually having a husband (to use, abuse, and berate), preventing her from actually being a "housewife."

YIKES! That picture of kate at DWTS makes her look like a drag queen who did a bad job at "tucking" away the privates - not a good look kate. Here's a little hint, look in a full length mirror BEFORE you go out in public....Thanks for the link Anon 1.

Isn't it amazing the way we can predict this classic narcissist? A year ago we all predicted that she would pull the kids out and homeschool them. Well, here we are.

Kate had a perfect opportunity to defend her children's reputation and good name and say "no that is a vicious lie they were not expelled." Instead she jumps to, they're being tutored. Guess it's true then. Sad.

In the same post you've claimed that it must be true that the kids were expelled and that Kate pulled them out of school. Which is it? Both can't be true.

BTW, she did not answer the question. The question was, "Were the kids expelled?" She didn't answer and went into how they are home being tutored.

She did answer the question, albeit awkwardly. She started with the tutoring spiel, realized she hadn't answered directly and inserted the "no" response.

Submerse also means to overwhelm.

There was nothing wrong with her choice of words. You can submerse yourself both literally (in liquid) and figuratively.

***************************************

Essentally Mary asked her if she liked apples and Kate replied I like oranges. That wasn't the question!

Kate's probably one of those stupid people who says, "How can my checking account be overdrawn when I still have checks in my checkbook?"

Also, "What do you mean no one is watching? I'M watching!" and "TLC just loves us. They will always take care of us."

Kate thinks TLC is her personal 401k plan and will always be there for her.

Could someone please post the link to Preesi's shot of Kate? Thank you.

TLC Plotting said...

She is fooling herself if she thinks TLC doesn't know exactly the direction these shows are going and if they have a breaking point with this. As soon as it doesn't make them money she's gone, period

I wonder if TLC could be debased enough to keep stringing her along, knowing or suspecting that the kids will really make a fool of her in the next few years? Ratings?

Scroll to the bottom of the page...if you click on the pic, it will enlarge, that's quite a shot.

BTW, I WISH when posters want us to go to a site, that they would post a link to the site. I couldn't find ET's FB page either. I really wanted to comment.

I e-mailed Zondervan and asked if "Love Is in the Mix" by Kate Gosselin will ever be published. And they e-mail me back and said, " Love Is In the Mix" has been cancelled and will NEVER be published". I just wanted to pass that on to everyone.

One more thing to be thankful for this year. :)

Maggie, this was my favorite line: “And Kate said that they have many, many plans and ideas for "Kate Plus 8" in the future.” Proof positive that this is no longer a reality show. It is scripted and contrived and, grueling work for those children.
------------

This witch will never give it up. The ratings have to continue to fall until TLC has no choice but to call it a day. Although, I also wouldn't be surprised if some of the kids, especially the older girls, start rebelling and refusing to go along with this farce.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy the day! Admin, I'm thankful for all the time and effort you put in here on this great blog! Have a safe and fun trip back east!

Ha ha, speaking of traveling....how much do you want to bet that Khate enjoyed the pat down in the airport on her way back home? Lol.

Is TLC just stringing her along, or was Carrie Ann right, in that she has no sense of self-awareness and actually believes that she is in great demand in the entertainment industry? Is a narcissist this delusional?

She obviously has no plans to end this circus, does she? I hope that Jon has hired an attorney that can really put the screws to all of this and end it because she's not going to do it. Is there NOBODY who can talk any sense into her? Why is she so hell-bent on continuing this show regardless of what it's going to do to the kids? Just so she can spit in everyone's faces, saying "Ha! You can't stop me!"

She got the wrong word. In the context of the sentence, "immerse" is the word to use. She meant that one totally devotes oneself to the task at hand, throws himself into it in a positive way. One doesn't submerse oneself in the pursuit of accomplishing a task. To use the word as such denotes negativity, when one considers that submerse means suppress, bury, cover up, or overwhelm.
