Kate picks up chicken supplies

As if Kate would buy anything for her chickens or has anything whatsoever to do with their care...obviously, someone else has been caring for them throughout the entire summer while the family was off on working vacation after vacation. This is such B.S. and such a plastic, see-through attempt at PR control. Give the public just a smidgeon of credit TLC. Kate doesn't do the grimy, "smelly," dirty stuff, or she'd still have the dogs. Remember the dogs and how they required human contact and care? Kate does not do that.

Anonymous said...

Her hair looks awful! I'm sorry but it reminds me of a limp, dirty mop in the photograph.

Does this woman own anything else besides jean skirts or short wearing attire? I know it's hot in the summer and early enter to fall on occasion but give me a break!

Jaye said...

Give her another round of applause, though, for dressing like a normal mom from PA.

Sadie said...

This must be for another film week

Lee said...

The URL ends with "Kate Gosselin shops her chicks" as if she hadn't already sold them down the river. The "chicks", of course, who are her children.

So she just suddenly noticed that the chickens needed a waterer? Or did she just suddenly remember that she had chickens - since it's obvious that she hasn't been caring for them during all the recent months she's been abusing her children. Bet whoever's been taking care of those chickens has done a better job than Kate ever has with her children.

Melissa said...

At this point, let's be grateful that her hair seems clean, she is parked legally and doesn't look like a crack whore trying to get lucky.
One thing at a time, people. One thing at a time.

Nancy said...

Indifferance is the only thing that will make her go away and it's working because she's grasping now for attention... really the "ckicks" give me a break

Bones said...

I've probably bashed Kate more than anybody over the past 3 years, but we have to give her credit where a teensy bit of credit is due:

a) she's not dressed like a whore.
b) she's not holding that stupid pink phone.
c) she's got a little smile on her face, in PA of all places.
d) no heals
e) she's actually got a bra on.
f) she's not orange ( today ).

And this is all in the same day...and that's HUGE for her. The hair is a mess, but I'll give her a pass on that for growing out the hairdo from hell spike.

Now I need to go take my temperature and make sure I'm not coming down with something since I didn't snark about her for the first time ever.

I don't have anything bad to say when Kate does normal Mommy stuff, doesn't look like a Hollywood tramp, is acting pleasant and kind, and is more focused on doing what needs to be done for her family and less on her appearance, her bodyguard, her money, and trips to LA and NY.

She's been acting normal for two days, that's huge for her.

IDModo said...

She's been acting normal- except for the fact that she has a photographer following her around everywhere as she "acts normal".
That's not normal.
It would be more normal if she just stayed home and enjoyed her children, and let her vast army of flunkies do the shopping for her like they "normally"do.

Moose Mania said...

Ah, but is the key word here "acting?" Is this all for show, a rehearsal for whatever she has up her sleeve? She does, after all, want a job on the silver screen (or behind the mic)...

IMO this photo op would be just a tad more believable if Kate had come out of a feed store with food for the chickens versus "easy to return items for credit".

In other words, unless we see Kate with a 50# bag of chicken feed we still have no way of knowing if the chickens are on the property or even if they are still alive.

Just went over to ROL to check comment count on their breaking story! 185. ALL the rest are 5 or six, maybe 10. AMAZING how there is only maybe 3 sheeple that keep up the same BS and are even allowed to post. Does anybody moderate that site? I was going to comment and incite a war, but then I see you have to register? wtf? Not worth the trouble. Plus these sheeple are only concerned with blasting any opinion that isn't the same as theirs.. I think... they never actually talk about the subject/thread!

-------

Exactly. This screams "photo op". What mother with eight young children and a flock of chickens runs out just to pick up a few accessory items??? Her priorities are still 1) attention 2) camera time 3) stay as far away from her own children as possible. Nothing different there.

The change in clothing alone tells you that finally her PR people (whoever they are) have gotten her attention, but that's all it means.

Must Love Dogs said...

Where is the chicken feed? Ya have to be carrying a bag of chicken feed Kate if you still have them chicks. As for her outfits, her little interns have been busy reading these sites and telling her on her pink cell phone. No fear Ladies and Gentlemen, those hooker heels and mini skirts have not been put out to pasture yet. :-O

Jennifer said...

Well, I like her shoes. (But just how many pairs of shoes does she have?)

That big thing she's holding is a feeder/waterer. What are the other two? A basket for eggs? What's the red thing?

Denise said...

"What's the red thing? "

Looks like a feed scoop to me.
She is dressed better and her hair seems to be cleaner but WHY does she have to go into town EVERYDAY??? Any ORGANIZED person keeps a running list and combines chores.

cathy518 said...

Yup, PR people have told her to tone it down and with the slide in the ratings, she is forced to obey. Don't expect this to last though.

Kelly said...

Kate does nothing that is the normal "mommy" thing. Kate buying chicken supplies is about as benevolent as Me buying F-16 fighter jets to donate to Delaware.

Kate buys things for chickens when the cameras are filming. Other than that, Kate buys things only for herself.

Must Love Dogs said...

I read her blog over at TLC, first time I may add. She is just raving about how her daughter is now even talking like her and picking up mommies habits....that was it, I was outa there. =)

Must Love Dogs said...

Welcome back Kelly! I totally agree

naomi said...

Way better outfit!!! Dosent look like she is trying so hard. Much better!

Kelly said...

Must Love Dogs,
I hope like HELL that her daughter isn't picking up "Mommy" habits. That would mean she's collecting married bodyguards, enjoying boxed red wine and dressing like a skank. NOT GOOD. Totally NOT good.

The comments on Kate's latest post on the fake blog are telling. Less than half of them are positive....on her own fake blog! And about 1/3 specifically criticize her inappropriate hooker get-up, heels, and/or cleavage. Some of these posts are from 'haterz', but what's interesting is how many are from fans or former fans who think she should tone it down. One in three complaining about her appearance; maybe she finally got scolded by TLC. In any event, she looks much better covered up. No one wants to see those implants and big legs. Now if she would just put a paper bag over that head of hers.

OzNTM said...

Getting supplies that one would think would've came with the chickens or purchased very soon after. Yeah, definitely purely a photo op, because what person in their right mind would purchase stuff like this looooong after the chickens arrived? The only way would be if these are replacements (which doesn't make sense, a feeder/waterer doesn't wear out or break that quick a scoop I could understand, as that's something you don't think about getting at first, or it can break easily), or they've got more chickens!

Kelly said...

Me thinks that Kate wasn't buying chicken feeders or water bowls for the feathered hostages. Me thinks that Kate figured out how to ration water and feed for the money makers and they all are now eating corn meal and filtered water from a feeder bottle.

Those lunches with 3 grapes, a cracker and a half a slice of organic ham is crimping her budget and her lifestyle. Kate is probably buying feed supplies for the money makers.

Anonymous said...

Sorry anonymous, it is the fans that Kate has a problem with, not the so-called "stalkers." In Monday's episode, she wasn't complaining about people making fun of her clothes or people making fun of the chickens or people making fun of the mop on her head. Nope, she was complaining about YOU, the people who love her and take photos of her and her kids and basically almost ruined her vacation in NY and really made her feel uncomfortable.

Good job Kate lovers! Kate complains about YOU, not the haters. How does that feel after defending her for so many years?

Kelly said...

Kate has no fans. I think the entire televison viewing audience is as much turned off with this thick legged, fake hair, bogus smile, manufactured chest, half human and disgusting individual that she wants to prove to her "ONLY" Paparrazi that she really is "It".

She isn't "It" and when her only "P People" friend refuses to show up when she calls for more photo op's, she'll know she is about as relevant and in such demand as a 1971 Chevy Vega.

Actually, a Chevy Vega is a collectors item. Kate is NOT. At this point in her life and the way she likes to show off the puppies and the NOT A BODY, Kate couldn't get laid on a troop ship.

I still think it's hilarious that she's normally so bad she now gets huge props for doing things like:

1. putting a shopping cart away
2. not bitching out a pap
3. washing her hair
4. only wearing wedge flip flops instead of four inch heels
5. buying supplies for chickens, who, if they didn't have someone caring for them all this time, would be dead.

And honestly? I'll say it: I wonder if buying this stuff wasn't just a ruse. I wonder if those chickens aren't actually gone, but TLC thought it would be good if she were seen buying supplies, like they're still there.

I really wouldn't put it past any of the people involved: Kate or TLC.

PatK said...

People have been questioning whether they still have the chickens...and now there are photos of Kate picking up chicken "supplies".

Nope, her people don't read the blogs.

Regarding the kids picking up on kate's mannerisms....ugh, I shudder to imagine 5 more kates (the girls) in this world. One is enough. On a sadder note, I definitely thought that mady was already starting to sound like her mom on the NYC episode. A lot of hand waving and coy gestures and eye rolling. The child is still cute because she's a kid and quite precocious, but this will not be cute if it persists into adulthood, just as it isn't cute when Kate does it. Actually, kate's childish valley girl persona appeared after the show began. She did not have all the histrionics until she started getting attention and notoriety. It's weird how much she has changed. I could actually tolerate her for the first season or so. She quickly became a prima donna asshole and completely morphed physically from mousy and plain to haggard and harsh. I hope those kids choose to copy Jon's sweetness instead.

Those chickens are still alive? Is this kate's pathetic attempt to show her concern for those poor birds? What is she feeding them? Organic grapes and crackers?

silimom said...

I caught a snippet of the last show when she was talking on the couch and I noticed something - she had on one of the same trashy outfits that she wore to take the kids back to school shopping.

So here's my speculation - I think when we see her out and about, dressed up and shopping it's because she's been doing couch interviews. I could be completely wrong, it's a long shot, but it was just an observation.

Maybe the toned down appearance, in addition to being on orders from her PR people, is because they aren't filming couch interviews right now? Supposedly their contract ends in October or the show stops filming in October unless they decide to renew.

I raise chickens so I have some experience in this area. These are items that she would need about now. When the chicks are small they use a completely different kind of waterer (so they don't drown). So, I have to say that these items are in the correct timeline, if she still has the chickens. The thing is, how did she know what to get? You can't tell me that she's set foot out there with those chickens since the day they were filmed. Someone had to have shown her exactly what to get.

“Where is the chicken feed? Ya have to be carrying a bag of chicken feed Kate if you still have them chicks.”

Based on 4 photos, I’m not sure we can assume that someone didn’t carry out a 50# bag of chicken feed and put it in the back of her car or she has some other kind of arrangement. Also, f you look at the picture 4 of 4 on ROL, you’ll see a pallet of bags behind her van. Perhaps that is chicken feed that is going to be loaded into the back?

I’ve never had chickens. Is the coop moved into the barn in the winter, or will there be another coop in the barn to move the chickens into? If there’s another coop in the barn, maybe the waterer/feeder is for that coop?

“Supposedly their contract ends in October or the show stops filming in October unless they decide to renew.”

The (bogus) “permits” run out in October. They were issued for six months, April-October. I haven’t heard anything about her contract running out, although perhaps her contract was only for 12 episodes?

I didn't watch the chicken coop show, but it was my understanding that she started with adult hens laying eggs. I don't have any idea of what she is carrying, but I would think with such an expensive coop, accessories would have been long ago purchased. And I agree, she has not set foot near that coop since the show. Regardless, it was a photo op just to shut people up about her getting rid of the chickens (she will....just like the dogs).

Well, well, well.... shopping for the chickens are we?? Considering she has been gone all summer, I am surprised they have lasted this long w/ no one taking care of them... afterall, Kate claims to do it all herself. Funny how we have yet to see her on that big tractor of theirs mowing the yard. Anyways...I have a sneaky suspicion this is damage control. Why else would she just now be purchasing a basket for the eggs and a feeder??

Anyways... have to agree w/ some of the other posters that at least she isn't dressed like a hooker.

Hello all,
Sorry if this has been covered on this site before, but I'm new here. I was just wondering, does anyone know what happened to their dogs? I thought I remembered reading somewhere that they had the dogs back, but that does not seem to be the case??
Thanks!

I would think that you go to the store, you explain how many chickens you have, the age of them, and ask what you will need for them. You are moving them into the barn for the winter, and you need supplies. The store personnel could advise you.

Anon, they supposedly (Jon) sent the dogs back to the breeder ages ago. Kate said they were coming back, but I believe when she said it she knew it was a lie. We're to have "forgotten" about the dogs now. I think I remember reading that the breeder had placed them w/a loving family.
