The above is from RH's site.

I think she was nervous as hell. She cannot "perform" in front of an audience. She has nada, unless she's one on one and her arrogance shines through or she has a "sidekick" to bash ie-Jon, kids, Jody, Emeril, roof jewelry guys...What we saw on J&K was the "authentic" tfw-pompous, selfish, center of attention, bully, bullheaded etc..THAT IS HER.

Yelling that the broiler is on?? Are they toddlers crawling around on the floor in her precious kitchen? I would hope they have the maturity and common sense to NOT place their hands on the stove door just by being near it? Can you not feel the heat? Again, infantilizing them-see? see? whatever would they do without me??!!

I've been to Pampered Chef home parties that were 100xs more entertaining and informative. The reps were knowledgeable, talkative, and had a passion for the product and cooking.

Leslie- Where is the clip that everyone is commenting on about the kids acting terribly when Katie was there. Isn't Kate gone to be on Bethenny show on Thursday?

Nutritional this and healthy that. Good grief, does it ever occur to her that people might not blindly trust her and look this stuff up? Following is the breakdown for her "healthy" bean bake. At 8 servings, that would work out to slightly more than half a cup per child. Obviously serving sizes would be less if she actually ate what she served the kids.

Nutrition Facts
Serving Size 146 g (0.6cups)
Calories 193
Calories from Fat 99
Total Fat 11.0g

And by the way, don't most good cookbooks these days include this breakdown?

I'm a bit confused. If BB was thanking her for her book and note she obviously knew he was there. Why would you embarrass yourself by saying you didn't even know he was there? That tweet made absolutely no sense. Or is it me, am I missing something here?
******
Because Kate lies when she doesn't have to. She could have just said, "sorry we didn't meet!", but she feels she has to embellish with an implausible excuse, like "I didn't know you were there".
She's a pathological liar. Yes, you know it's implausible and makes zero sense and is virtually not plausible, but that doesn't stop Kate from lying.
So head scratching is an exercise in futility. It's like asking a leopard to change its spots, or a zebra to change its stripes.
The only was on God's green earth that this lying could change is if Kate seeks professional help, and she'll never do that because she's perfect in her own eyes.

TLC stinks said...

She claims she doesn't know what is going on with Jon which is a LIE because anyone as controlling as she is would certainly be aware of his every move. I bet she's had Steve investigate his finances, who he hangs with, etc. She wants to bring him down and she needs info to do that. That's why when asked about Jon she is dismissive and says he lives his own life and I do not concern myself with what his choices are. Totally BS.

ITA she knew BB was there but chose to ignore him. She is unfriendly and is only concerned with attention on herself. Everyone else is insignificant when Kate Gosselin is in the room.

Although I do hope Kate is kind to her, I can't help but remember the false accounts she made pretending to be one or more of the Gosselin kids, the Facebook page that bashed Ellen, her other Twitter account which is far from being the sweet young thing she appears to be. Like her heroine, it seems Paige needs some mental health intervention.

She doesn't "tolerate" aversions? If they are good eaters like she constantly says why can't she "tolerate" aversions? If they like a few kinds of green vegetables serve them that and let them try something new on their own-you know, by NOT putting it on their plate yourself! You're giving tips on how to handle picky eaters, but in the same breath you claim to not have any picky eaters. Please tell us your REAL tips! I'm cringing thinking about the scenario, she couldn't even "tolerate" one of them wanting effing DRY cereal!

Amateur-ish. The best word to describe these videos. Painfully, embarrassingly, ridiculously AMATEUR-ISH. Kate would like that word. She likes all words with ISH tacked onto the end. As for her cookbook (and I use the term loosely), really? Meatloaf? Sloppy Joes? Pasta Salad? This sounds like a book a mom might give her 13-year-old daughter who is just beginning to cook. I am laughing however, at the ewes clamoring over each other to praise their idol, their little hooves clattering on each others heads to be the first to try Kate's childish and mundane recipes.

Her tweet to Brian Boitano? Simply classic Kate. This is her way of letting him (and her twitter-ewes) know that a minor star of his small stature and influence doesn't even register on her radar screens.

Paige? Sounds like she has a few other young ones traveling to Toronto who will be competing for a little lovin' from Kate. Kate will do one of two things: she will either perform as usual, giving the minimum effort and attention to Paige (with Steve in close proximity to control the panic that may ensue) or she will go overboard, having read all of the comments here on this blog.

And the clackety, bleating ewes wonder why we dislike her so. Too funny.

I think Kate dips into the kids accounts for their clothing, medical etc. But, she's sitting on piles of money, having made millions.
3 cars is a bit much for 1 person and I think what would make it $$ is paying PA insurance prices. I paid double what I pay now, when I lived in PA. I mean, it was expensive!!
We have 3 cars. The third is our "just for fun" 2-seat convertible 6-speed, and I don't delude myself into thinking we have the "Zippy" car because it gets great gas mileage.
It's a luxury, and I own that.

I wonder, they say that eating disorders can develope in people who feel they have no control in their regular lives but they can control one aspect and that is how much food they eat.

Could Kate, who is a control freak, be feeling things in her life are out of control so she is controlling how much or how little she eats?
*****
LisaNH, this is my opinion, too. I'm no mental health expert, but the times when I've dieted/exercised to the extreme, it's been in response to major life stresses, like divorce and death of a parent.
I will admit to feeling some modicum of compassion for Kate, because raising 8 kids is daunting. On the other hand, Kate refuses to help herself by scaling down her lifestyle on many levels, and realizing that she is NOT ALONE. Jon is their father and he is a wonderful dad who is also raising their children.
This self-imposed martyrdom is just that, self-imposed. She CHOOSES this for her life, so while I feel compassion for her situation, and CLEARLY SEE she is suffering vis a vis her skeletal and ruddy appearance, I know that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

She also infantizes them by chopping up 'vegies' finely so that they don't know they're there. Uh, the kids are 9 & 13, and not entirely stupid.

That's what you do with a 2 year old.
Ages 9 & 13 are too old to be playing stupid games like that with them.
Show them some respect, for once.

And STOP serving them! Talk about control freak!
Good grief! They are quite capable of serving themselves.
Line up the food on the island, if you must. But serve it buffet style where they help themselves.

Personally I think the reason she doesn't just put the food on the table and let them help themselves is that she isn't *at* the table. Hard to control what they're doing when you're not there, eh?

She stays in the kitchen, or maybe retreats to her room, far far away from those chaotic children.
They do all the clean-up, so once the food is served she's done with her part of the job. She's outta there.

I don't think she's kidding. She and Kate are cut from the same cloth. Both love attention; love being at the top; love being adored and held up to high esteem; love being important. Milo thrives on it and she'd like nothing better than Paige showing up holding a sign that recognizes Milo's position as Chief Ewe. It wouldn't surprise me if she actually seething about Paige finally meeting Kate. Paige just might become the favored one and Milo couldn't stand it.

This whole sheeple hierarchy is fascinating from a sociological perspective.

Why didn't she just get on a plane and make the two-hour trip to Baltimore to meet Kate? Something is very off about that entire situation.

Under normal circumstances, this would be fine. However, Paige's obsession isn't normal and to give her a gift or recognize her in some way might not be the best idea. This is how fans get the idea that they are the favorites, the select few, their obsession grows, they stalk and pester, and if they are ignored, that's when you need to hide the bunny. A celebrity doesn't encourage idol worship. No good can come out of it.

********
Cheese Tortellini Pasta Salad

In a large bowl, combine:
-1 lb tortellini (fresh or frozen), cooked per package directions and drained
-4-5 (or more if you like!) broccoli florets, blanched in boiling, lightly salted water for 2-3 minutes, then shocked in an ice bath to lock in color and stop cooking. Chop broccoli into smaller florets.
-4-5 (or more if you want!) hearts of palm, chopped
- 1- 8 ounce can hearts or bottoms of artichoke in water (not oil packed), drained and chopped
-1-1 1/2 cups cubed summer sausage
-1/2 cup chopped olives (manzanilla, picholine, kalamata etc.)
-8 oz. cubed cheese (cheddar, feta, havarti etc.)

Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
salt and pepper to taste
3/4 cup olive oil

In a bowl, place all ingredients except olive oil. Whisk to incorporate. Slowly drizzle olive oil in, whisking continually to combine and emulsify. Pour about 1/2 of the dressing over the pasta salad, toss gently and store, covered in the refrigerator for at least 1/2 hour.
Pour remaining dressing over pasta salad and toss just before serving.

It's understandable that serving family style at the table involves more time, effort and dishes, but making them line up cafeteria style does ZERO for helping the childrens' etiquette and self sufficiency. It does, however, go a long way in controlling their food intake and individual choices.
I just imagine these kids eating at a friend's house one day, sittin there, stymied by everyone else at the table passing plates and bowls and serving their own portions and making their own choices.
I sincerely hope that Kate isn't still cutting their food, and I really do wonder if the children are allowed to get up and get seconds by themselves.

Yes but with 8 perfectly healthy children, it should only take a very few minutes to set everything on the table.
How long does it take to set out a basket of crackers and a bowl of grapes, anyway??

We've seen TFW's table....the glasses already poured to exactly 1/2 full, ready to drink. Like the kids are too stupid to pour their own drinks.

I'd be offended if I came to sit at the table and someone had already portioned out my food and poured my glass. All I had to do was sit down and eat it. How offensive that whoever won't take the time to sit down and eat with me.

Takes away the pleasure of dining together.....

______________________________________________
I think the reason she doesn't let them serve themselves family style is because they fight and whine. Its the old so and so took more than me stuff. Family dinners is a time to teach a child manners and respect and sharing. Kate doesn't parent. She even said in an interview that she doesn't get involved in their fights, they have to work it out themselves. Children fight and whine. Its part of growing up. Its up to the parent to sort the issues out and have the children come to a resolution. So if the parent isn't at the table to keep an eye on and immediately correct problems, the issues will continue. Kate doesn't want to deal with reality. And having children is reality. Eating somewhere else in The Manor is her reality.

May name is Watched the Marilyn show......
First, there was an interview part, where the host and guest sat facing each other. Marilyn held the book up. Marilyn said she heard on a radio interview this morning that K was favoring a foot. K was wearing flat black shoes, she said to watch out for corners of kitchen islands. Talk about two daughters asking if they would have the recipes for their kids, that she never measured and had to start writing down the measurements for the book. Marilyn asked if there was one recipe all the kids loved and K said because there was so many of them, there was not one all liked, but that all their favorites were in the book except the Chicken/eggplant dish (cant remember the name and that was K's favorite). Marilyn was trying to compliment how K looked by asking if she ate what was in the book. She said yes, but portion control. The next segment was a demonstration. M and K were at a counter with a mixer, ingredients in several separate bowls and then the final product, some large muffins. Before they started Kate called Paige up from the audience and presented her with the copy M was holding. It was signed by all K and the kids. K explained P was a fan. P spoke of being a fan since 2008 then contacting K ( I guess via twitter) since 2011 and how huge a fan she was etc. She was invited to stay at the counter for the demonstration and took a few seconds to decide if she wanted to stay or sit. She stood at the other side of the counter and watched. M commented on her pretty dress. K poured all the ingredients in one by one explaining what each was and then turned on the mixer. K made a joke for P to watch out for splatters. It was a healthy muffin. She uses maple syrup and she and M spoke of how that's well known in Canada. The muffins are breakfast to go for the twins. The mashed banana can be frozen, muffins can be frozen in individual zip bags and put into a container. K was asked how many freezers and fridges she owned. K answered and then corrected herself. 3 of each was the final. K poured the batter into the muffin sheet, from a very large, wide bowl, so the muffin tins sort of over flowed and looked very messy when the camera zoomed up, but that could not be helped. M made a joke of her ever getting time to have a shower. M demonstrated how a mom showers quickly. K spoke of moms making time for themselves, stepping back and reading a couple of chapters in their book. All in all it was a regular, calm, normal, interview of someone who wrote a book and gave a demonstration. M said the recipe was on the website and everyone in the audience was getting a signed copy of the book.

I am trying to stop reading about TFW, thinking about her gets me upset and feeling sorry about Jon and the children. I so wish she would seek help and listen to the advice of an expert. This is all beyond sad at this point.
With each failure, each crash and burn, each story worthy of tabloid fodder she is taking away more and more from those children.

I think this is the last note I'll post. I've enjoyed reading here the last several weeks.
Appears there is no nastiness here, just venting and conversation.
I've learned some things about book publishing.....and hard boiled eggs...heehee

She absolutely had to know Brian Boitano was there. Didn't she have a schedule concerning the demo stage? No one - in any phone conversation ever mentioned this to TFW, "...And you'll be on before Brian..." something of that ilk?!
Did she ever look at the Baltimore Book Fest website?
Is she really this self involved?
Wouldn't anyone check to see..."I wonder who else will be in the "Food for Thought Stage."
And yes absolutely as Mel said earlier, any performer, artist at a street fair, public speaker is aware of the company, the peers surrounding them.
I am beginning to believe she has lost the ability to be sincere. That even when there is no reason to do so she twists the truth.

And a "family" cookbook whose title has "love" in the mix, and many recipes named after the children, why no credit or stories about her own mother or siblings? Not one. Family recipes jumped from Grandma to TFW.
My heart breaks for these children. And I don't know why but most especially, Cara and Collin.

I wish the twitter war would stop, she is doing enough damage on her own at this point.

One final thought, her comment about what a sloppy cook she is. I remember a clip were she issued a very serious warning to any child who might spill a single grain of sugar on the floor....(then lines the counter top with slippery trash bags)

I wish you all well.

First off, does TFW ever have anything positive about her kids? Ever? In so many interviews, she's always seen complaining about the chaos, while rolling her eyes. She's had multiples for nine plus years. You would think she'd be used to it. Michelle Duggar has 19 children and you don't see her having a melt down and wanting pitty. She's proud of her kids. Katie C's commented that she needed to run a right ship or there would be chaos doesn't make sense, since according to them, everyday at the Gosselin's house is pandemonium anyway. So which is it?
The clip at the end as TFW sipped wine showed me what she would rather be doing with her life. Wining and dining, not caring and cooking for 8 "wild" kids.

I am convinced now more than ever that Kate most assuredly reads here. The topic of late was concerning if Paige would be disappointed if Kate didn't acknowledge her. Well evidently she did one better and had her up on the stage at the show this morning. SHE DOES READ HERE!!!

Alberta Girl said...

She called paige onto the stage - gave her a book autographed by her and the kids. She is "super obsessed" with Kate.

Marilyn told Paige to stay up on stage with kate while she makes her "Super Healthy Breakfast Muffins".

Um, um, um, um....put nutrition in....organic ingredients...blah, blah, blah. She never finishes a sentence I've noticed. So much for the gift of gab.

Marilyn asked her how many freezers she has. She said 3 FULL, and 2 FULL refrigerators, then said I have 3 freezers, and 3 refrigerators.

Very MEDIOCRE appearance. She only had a couple of minutes to complete her recipe - lots of dead air while she was waiting for the muffin mixture to combine. It was Marilyn who kept everything going.
And she just slopped the muffin mixture into the tins - looked very unprofessional.

But kudos to her for recognizing Paige.

Alberta Girl said...

One more thing - the entire audience received an autographed copy of her book. Not really a big deal, because the area is small, so maybe 50?

She also didn't look very enthused to be there. Very lethargic IMO.

Ok, off to the grocery store for me!

This article describes the situation in the Gosselin household:
"They will use their children as slaves. They will delegate all household chores to the children as early as possible. They will insist that they pay for their own personal items and clothing as early as possible. Older children will become responsible for younger children. "

Article:
http://psychcentral.com/lib/narcissistic-mothers/0002959

"These mothers steal their kids’ childhoods, identities and future healthy relationships. "
Yup. Kate feels like her childrens' childhoods are for her to use, not for them to experience individually. Very little is done to indulge individual interests and activities. Mady and Cara continue to be able to pursue their interests, I believe because it would look bad to stop. They are involved in school activities and it would be very noticeable if they stopped.
The 6-pack, on the other hand, never started anything outside of the home, and I think that was strategic on Kate's part. They were the real moneymakers of the family and to have them be involved in other time consuming, film usurping activities would not be tolerated.

I believe TFW serves them from the counter so she can control the kids portions. She doesn't want any waste, so she'd rather have them finish what is on their plates and ask for more than to not finish their food. I also wonder if she serves them bread with their meals, as this is a common filler instead of seconds. I think with these kids being able to help themselves would be a disaster as some kids would be left without much or anything to eat by the time bowls would be passed around. When children are not accustomed to helping themselves and food is limited, this is what happens. Certain ones will stuff themselves and others will be left with nothing if their mother doesn't have enough prepared for their individual and growing appetites.

I was looking over the notes I jotted down at the BBF, and I wrote down "cooking for large family" and just after that had written "divorced for 4 years". When I was writing it up later, I was going by the notes I had written (which were based on what I could hear), and wrote the "large family" as the question and the "divorced" comment. I apologize for that--I was writing notes to remember what I heard, and they didn't go together. I did not mean to mislead anyone about that one--they were one right after the other, and I thought that was her answer. I didn't hear the guy ask about Jon's favorite meal at all. It was very hard to hear, especially since I was standing way in the back.
Anyway, watching the videos, it's obvious there was a question there I didn't hear, and therefore didn't add to my notes. Crappy acoustics and disjointed note-taking do not go well together, and I apologize if I misled anyone.

Just got back from.....the Marilyn Denis show! The studio is only a few blocks from my office so curiosity got the better of me and I went. In a word....surreal! It's a small studio so the audience is small also. As a result it was easy to spot Paige from her Twitter picture....she's quite tall...probably 5'8 or so. Here's the really interesting part....prior to the show, Steve coolly sauntered into the audience holding area and walked straight over to Paige, shook her hand and they had a quick conversation So Steve had obviously done his homework too and knew what she looked like.. Onward to the studio...so thrilled to find out that Robert Herjavec from Shark Tank/ Dragon's Den was one of the first guests. He has the most amazing blue eyes....and such a sharp dresser! Fast forward to Kate's segment which was the last 10 minutes or so of the show. Ironically, when she sat down, she was looking directly at me. I had to smile and nod (and "bite my tongue") given where I was sitting. She's not as tall as she appears in most pictures. She was wearing flats because she apparently broke her foot in an encounter with the island in her kitchen. She is a tad too thin for her frame and doesn't have the glow that she used to have. She was fairly relaxed during the interview. The show's set is quite nice and intimate which probably helped. Kate had nothing new to say however. She then did a two-minute demo on muffin preparation but wait! Before she started the demo, she said that she had a surprise. The surprise? She had an autographed copy of her book to present to Paige who was brought up to the stage to meet her "idol". Paige then got to stand beside Kate during the demo. The stars and the planets are all aligned in Paige's universe! So Kate came through for her No. 1 fan. On a positive note, Paige was very well behaved. Most ironic of all...everyone in the audience received an autographed copy of Kate's Cooked Book.....including me! Aargh! Any takers?

AnnieD,
So, Steve was playing "wing man" there, too, huh? This is the third time someone from this blog has seen them, and it has always been Steve who is the hands-on mingler. With TFW it's all just for show. If she doesn't get some positive publicity out of it, then she doesn't do it.
These free books are obviously being unloaded onto these talk shows to boost the numbers of so-called sales for TFW.
Did you see anything after the show? Did TFW interact with any of the audience? Did Steve?

Broken foot??? I think that's one of her more outrageous statements. She probably stubbed her toe. She was wearing flats but a broken foot would require a cast - I didn't see one and she walked onto the set without favouring the "broken foot".

Not necessarily. A broken toe can get "buddy taped" and with flats or a cast shoe, can heal without plaster.
This is typically how stress fractures are treated in the tarsals and metatarsals.

Small world, isn't it? :) Kate and Paige and one of us...in the same room.
Kate's segment closed the show but there was no time for mingling with the audience as the show went right into pre-taping for tomorrow and the guest was Suzanne Somers! She was delightful... friendly and well-spoken. I expect that Kate had "left the building" by the time the audience was free to go. I saw no sign of them as I left.

She must have been mad about something and kicked the island. That's the only way I can think of that your island could cause you to break your foot.

I will give Kate brownie points for how she handled Paige. I am sure she made Paige's year and I think it's one of the first times I've heard about a really good fan interaction on Kate's part.

Alberta Girl said...

She did not break her foot on the kitchen island - she was wearing heels for her other appearances - the photos from her 1st book signing clearly show her heels. It was the next day - really can't even remember the taping she was going to - Katie perhaps? There were pics of her outside the building, and she was wearing flats.

Maybe she got wind of Jon's appearance on The View? I don't know about all of you, but I don't think there are many kitchen islands to break your foot on in many New York hotels.

You are so full of crap Kate!

The reason Steve knew who Paige was is because Paige was non stop tweeting about her trip to the studio, the cab ride, waiting in line and so on. Kate tweeted her that she just then got back on twitter and asked her what she was wearing and Paige told her a red dress. That's how Steve knew who she was.

PatK said...

Congratulations to Paige for being asked to come on stage with Kate. Very, very kind of Kate to do that. I have to give her kudos on that one.

I've still got to wonder who pays Steve now as her road manager and assistant. He certainly can't be commanding the high fee TLC was paying him. Perhaps he works for Kate gratis...or at least at a reduced rate if she's paying (and giving him occasional room and board above the garage)? Not sure if he's still written into any agreements for these appearances, since I have no idea who is footing the bill. It's very strange, if you ask me.

I wonder how soon she'll pen another book to get more of these trips and attention, because I still say she's not going to get another tv gig.

In the video prior to the tour, where TFW is having a conversation with the paparazzi her toes are taped.
The video where she lingers (rather than getting in the car and closing the door). Where she states she pays no attention to what Jon does, and she shows no reaction in hearing about the gun incident....which brings in to question the words, "profoundly concerned" being thrown around.

I think that TFMJG controls the children's portions because she wants total control of the children. I don't believe it has a single to do with food waste, because TFW would just make them eat any 'waste' the next meal. She has said that is what she does.

You are assuming that the children are not allowed to serve themselves at Jon's house the way they are at TFW's house. Jon has said that they eat what they want and as much as they want when they are with him.

Your comments about ''food is limited'' and ''if their mother doesn't have enough prepared for their individual and growing appetites.'' seem to be saying that TFMJG is incapable? chooses not to? properly care for her children by not preparing enough for them.

I believe she prepares more than enough food for the children to eat their fill, but she doesn't allow them to eat as much as they want...thus her insisting on serving them the portions SHE decides they should have. Controlling the food intake is just one more way for her attempt at total control over those children!

Why cast aspersions on this young lady? You have no proof that she created fake twitter accounts using the names of the Gosselin children. The person mentioned a mall in Canada and people jumped to the conclusion that it was Paige. It is a big country. She has been harassed by the worse of the nonfans. She shouldn't have false accusations against her. We're better than that.

--------

Cast aspersions? Is that what Paige did to Jon? I remember when Paige apologized to Jon for the names and more she called him. And then proceeded to continue to bash him. I'm sure someone has those tweets. She's not the sweet young thing people think she is.

Why is it so hard to think that her identity on the blog, Twitter, Facebook, etc wasn't uncovered? BV does it daily. Even CJ and Ziggy (or was it Goody or the IWs?) are able to find out who's behind a screen name.

I'm happy Kate was nice to her. We all know that Kate can turn it on when she wants to and since Twitter is just about her only means of communicating with the public (other than filing lawsuits) of course she's going to be nice to Paige in public. Imagine if Kate ignored her - Twitter would erupt!

There's also the issue of Paige having thousands of photos of Kate and the kids, as well as (I believe) a You Tube channel devoted to them. Or she did at one time. You don't want to ignore uber fans like that - they can turn quickly.

Seriously though, what did he expect? He obviously wasn't paying too close attention to Kate's MO. Perhaps he just thought, because he was so diligent in having her back, that her gratefulness would endure.

Of course, it's not clear that he's actually referring to Kate but I'd bet my last loonie that these tweets are aimed at her.

I'm guessing, and I emphasize that this is just my opinion, that he perhaps found himself in some legal hot water as a result of his association with Kate and that she is doing her best to wash her hands of the entire thing.

I just watched Katie and I have questions:

Why does Julianna Moore have second billing to Kate?? Julianna Moore has bee on small/large screen for 30 years. Kate is an untalented has been!!

Why did the audience stand up??

Why does Katie give Kate so much credit for raising 8kids?? Doesn't she know that there are mothers and single mothers who also have large families and don't have the money/ nannies that Kate has.

Doesn't Katie know that there are teachers with 32 or more students who supervise and teach students all day long??

Doesn't Katie know that Kate wants her job??

Does Katie have her head in the sand, or or doesn't have a clue about the world around her, or is she just plain dumb?? Maybe all three??

BTW, no kudos to Kate for allowing Paige on stage. A really nasty book is coming out and she's going to need her small army to defend her! She never does anything because she's a sweetheart. I think she's disgusting!

I see that we both believe that bullyville found himself in some legal hot water, but came to different conclusions about who is responsible for bullyville's situation.

I don't think that bullyville and/or his 'lawsuit' has crossed TFMJG's mind while she is on her 'book tour', and the center of attention.

I'm convinced that Robert's attorneys are behind bullyville caving, and Robert was hinting at that in his post about ''brilliant attorney'' and that attorney's adult bullying quotes.

Next time he should be a little more cautious before jumping into some has-been's persecution fantasy.

Blessed To Be Mediocre Mother

Hey Folks,

I'm not sure if anyone will remember me, as I haven't posted for probably close to a year now, and I had just started to post more frequently when I stopped. I purchased Robert's book the morning it came out because I felt that some stunt would cause it to be pulled quickly. Oddly enough, the weekend it came out I was busy teaching at a series of conferences (the Awana ministry, if anyone is familiar with it) on teaching/working with children. My heart just broke as I read Robert's book, to the point where I had to step back and leave the blog for a while. I personally couldn't handle both Robert's account of the children's lives as well as their continued happenings on a daily basis on this site. I finally came back around January, but since then I have remained in the corner lurking again. I've started to comment before, but as others have stated too, so many of you are much more eloquent than myself, and generally say what I would have said anyhow.

So anyhow, I came out of my corner to say that I do think that Bullyville's latest comments might be referring to TFW. Especially with the word ADULTS capitalized. If you take a look at Robert's latest post on his blog site, it seems to me that Bullyville could possibly be referring to what Robert posted. At least that's the impression I got. Interesting....is Bullyville keeping up with Robert's blog site???

Nice to chat with you all again!

Yes, "Eight Little Mirrors"

I think Steve works with Kate still because you never know, it might pay off if Kate gets big again. It's an outside shot, but he's invested a whole lot thus far, so he's hedging his bets instead of cutting his losses.
I thought for a very long time that Steve actually "masterminds" Kate.

"I see that we both believe that bullyville found himself in some legal hot water, but came to different conclusions about who is responsible for bullyville's situation.

I don't think that bullyville and/or his 'lawsuit' has crossed TFMJG's mind while she is on her 'book tour', and the center of attention.

I'm convinced that Robert's attorneys are behind bullyville caving, and Robert was hinting at that in his post about ''brilliant attorney'' and that attorney's adult bullying quotes."

***************************************

Could be Remona. I did say I was merely guessing. I was basing my opinion on the fact that BullyVille used the words 'lack of appreciation'. I can't think of a better description for Kate.

Ultimately though, it's BullyVille himself who is the most to blame for whatever the situation really is.

Aligning himself with Kate was a mistake, many of us called that from the get go. However it's playing out now is a result of that choice.

Still, no sympathy from me no matter how you slice it.

Mel: I also think the reason Kate doles out the food she has cooked, so Jon can't say in court or anywhere else, she is not feeding them the 5 food groups. Her moto is you get what you are SERVED and you don't complain or you get it for the next meal. Those kids clearly have no freedom of choice. On Couric show, Kate had the pizza, cut up on paper plates, what looked like salad doled out on bowels, who does that?
Amy2: That is correct. On the CWS, when Kendra, did a taco dinner, and put the food on the coffee table thing, when the 8, started to put food in the taco shell, they did infact, fight over the food, one even stepped on the others plate, and got food all over the floor. That people was Kendras mistake. Sorry, people I would have had them eat at the table, not on the floor.
As for Kate's suppose broken toe, BS! I broke my little toe on my right foot, it swelled for a whole week, and then I had a cast for 4 weeks, on crutches. Kate managed to walk and stand. It is more likely she stubbed her toe, no breakage. What a drama queen!.

How big could those tickets be? If she doesn't carry a purse, couldn't she put them in her pants pocket? Or heck, tuck them in your bra if there's nowhere else to put them!

This also makes me wonder if Paige was ever really going to go. Is is mere sad coincidence that she "lost" her tickets in the cab? And did she say "tickets" in the plural? Wouldn't she need just one?

Let's throw tomatoes (#123) I agree with your comments about Katie Couric - she's not the brightest bulb.

I was watching the Today show on 9/11. The camera panned the tower just after the first plane hit. At that point there was speculation that possibly a commuter plane had struck the tower. Katie and Matt continued talking about the incident but couldn't provide any detailed information.

With the camera on the first tower, the second plane hit the second tower. When that happened even I knew it must be an attack but Katie Couric said, "Gee, what are the chances of that?" meaning both incidents were accidents. Matt had to tell her these were no accidents, they were terrorist attacks.

That conversation comes back to me every time I see her on TV. I just couldn't believe that an experienced journalist could be so naive.

I've been thinking about the $1600/day fee Steve was getting during the time of TFW's women's conference and church talk circuit and wondering how she can afford that fee now.
I'm leaning towards thinking he charged that much for certain jobs because it was written into one-time-only event contracts (and was essentially being paid by the someone else) and that he has a different rate for long term general employers like w/TLC and TFW.

*******************************************************
I only watched the 'at home with the Gosselins' part of the Katie C segment. I can't stand to watch Kate lie her way through face to face sit down interviews.

I don't think Katie Couric is oblivious or dumb. I think she just tried to make the most of an uncomfortable situation. Her show is being cancelled, she's been relegated to fluff pieces and basically has had her journalistic integrity usurped by producers who want filler without substance.

I hate to use the word conspiracy but it does seem like a trend in the media, especially when it comes to celebrities (as much as I hate to refer to Kate as such), to substitute serious journalism for feel good video clips and palatable sound bytes.

We, the mediocre, don't really need to know what's going on. We're too busy with keeping our jobs so we can keep our homes to worry about what's really going on in the world.

We, the mediocre, are happy to munch away on journalism as pablum and fall asleep believing that all is right with the world because Matt Lauer, Katie Couric and Barbara Walters say it's all good.

I suppose it's a pretty pessimistic way to look at the world. But what else can you say about an abusive shrew of a talentless woman still getting softball interviews and forums to spew lies that any research intern can dispute with a simple Google search?

And let's be real...the cookbook is a joke. Her appearances are all about her polarizing personality, sales and ratings. I really hope that, for the sake of her children, Kate wakes up and smells the karma brewing in her beloved Keurig.

Remona Blue...105, I didn't mention anything regarding how these kids are fed at Jon's house. I still believe TFW limits what she puts on each child's plate because she doesn't want them to take too much and not finish what's on their plates. Hence, the waste. Frankly, I don't think she would want to deal with separating and saving what isn't finished on each child's plate if they were to take too much food on their own if bowls or plates of food were being placed on the table to be served family style. I'm not speaking for Jon and how he serves his childrens' food. Hopefully, he allows his kids to eat as much as they want and doesn't concern himself about what they can or can't finish on their plates.

I don't think that Paige, in Canada, will play any part at all in defending Kate in whatever mess Kate gets herself into. Paige is clearly into celebrity worship, and if this is part of her lifelong dream (meeting Kate) then kudos to Steve and Kate. I've seen how much it can mean for a devoted fan to be recognized by a celebrity, called onstage, or walked backstage by production. For many, it's something they will remember for a long time to come.

It's a fine line, though, for a celebrity to decide just how many bones he wants to throw to a particular fan. Ignored, and the fans may become paranoid and angry; too much recognition, and they'll keep wanting more. Celebrities need to draw the line somewhere when fans follow them around. In this case, I would think that this is a once-and-done situation. It's not like this young woman is going to be following Kate around the country asking for favors or backstage passes.

From what the poster who saw the encounter said, it looked like the lady in the green pants wanted to talk to TFW. If you're saying that no way would her team allow that to happen, you're right! I don't think they would allow anyone to stand and gab with her for any length of time because, eee-gads, that might put TFW in a position of having to carry on a conversation with a stranger.
And we know from the story about Steve physically moving the elderly gentleman that they won't allow anyone to block people's view of her at a public book fair. Other than that - what do you think the lady was trying to do?

Just watched TFW on Marilyn and yes, she was more relaxed than usual. But, when you spew the same BS over and OVER again, it must come easier. The message is always the same, she is busy with her 8 kids, and in this interview she said things have "picked up" for her in last 6 months, whatever that means, I assume this book tour.

When Paige came on stage, Kate could see her "biggest fan" was overwhelmed and told her to "breathe". TFW sees herself as an iconic figure, and in that moment her ego was on full display as she handed over the signed copy of her cookbook to Paige. At least she gave Paige (who admitted to being obsessed with Kate) her moment.

Yes, not once but twice she said she had a broken foot. Her broken foot (with no evidence of swelling), was in a flat shoe not a high heel.

What was refreshing was that Marilyn didn't mention Jon, nor comment on anything to do with her divorce or lawsuit.

Kate looked more prepared when putting her muffin recipe together, but it is muffins after all.

And to AnnieD....72 who went to see the Marilyn Denis show today, I think Marilyn is laying off the Botox a bit.

I also watched America's Got Talent this past summer and usually don't get into it unless there is someone outstanding like Jackie Evancho. Although I really enjoyed the current winner, but I was blown away by Forte. They lost, but Simon Cowel was smart enough to sign them up on his record label and had them record their first album immediately after the show ended. In constrast to TFW's lackluster book sales, they are in the top 20 on Amazon with a November 12 release date and were even number 1 for sales during the weekend. They have their first single on itunes (which is fantastic) and are such a group of nice guys. They have a 13 year old soprano featured on one of their songs and another female runner up from the show performing on another song. It just reminds me of how little to nothing TFW has done for anyone. So Paige got mentioned and her book signed. Big deal.

I can't imagine that Paige has any power or influence or will make any difference whatsoever in redeeming Kate if that book is released. What is with this Kate 3-5 year old talk she does, is she trying to be cute, cause it makes her sound stupid, not cute. Like: she posted on twitter a while ago, my ouchy foot, who talks like that! or using yum after, stuff she has cooked. I take her yums as: she is trying to convince herself, what she made tastes good. Even her fans, are starting to talk like her.
I also love how Kate says: she eats what the kids eat in control portions? What? Did she not put in her own cookbook, her own daily diet, and that even on twitter she had posted several times over the past 4 years, that she does not eat what she cooks for the kids, maybe once in a while she will have a little bit or one piece of whatever they are eating. What a liar. I bet Kate probably has hardly tasted half or most of what she has cooked for those kids. And this organic non-sense she keeps saying is just what it is, non-sense. She eats organic, kids eat whatever she slops into a pot. If most of the recipes are the family favorites it figures on why so much of it is from a can, not fresh organic.

She and another fan did set up something on FB to harass Ellen, and I think that time she admitted it (and apologized for it?).

To snub Paige at a show, not acknowledge her and brushing her off just wouldn't have been right. Kate knows that meeting her has been Paige's dream for such a long time. She got to meet her, finally, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I'm just wondering if she's expecting more, like chatting with Kate for an extended period of time, or having a jammie party with her. That's why, with a fan who is obsessed as Paige, someone like Kate has to be really careful.

Although I really enjoyed the current winner, but I was blown away by Forte. They lost, but Simon Cowel was smart enough to sign them up on his record label and had them record their first album immediately after the show ended.

They were absolutely outstanding. They were my favorites from the beginning. When they sang "Unchained Melody," I just sat there with my mouth open. When they were eliminated, did you see Mel B mouth "Oh, my god." I enjoyed the winner...he was very talented, but I wasn't as blown away from him as I was with Forte. I don't know when I've heard three such powerful voices together. Thanks for the info about the album. I will buy it.

I just saw Kate in Indigo in Toronto, wow - I never expected this turn up for her. At least 40-50 people where lining up and a bunch of people hung around. Steve was obviously for her security (lol) nearby. He was scanning the public the entire time. Kate seemed friendly enough and took pics with people.

I will sent the admin the pictures. I took It took me a while to find the chapters, as mentioned on the book tour schedule - there is no chapters in Yorkdale mall, it was in Indigo though.

I was gonna email the pictures I took, but I don't see the admins email address anywhere, can anyone help me out?

Looks to me like Kate's Canadian tour is turning out to be the "Teens and Tweens Tour" from what I see of the tweeted pics from the tonight's book signing.

So, I am a Yenta, psychotic, delusional, postmenopausal and a hater. So glad that Bullyville cleared that up for me. I wondered what was wrong. :)

What if you are pre-menopausal? Is there another group for those non-fans??

And one pic of Kate sitting behind a table and you can see her feet, I see no bandaide on either foot, just pale-pink flats. If it were broke she would have a very large bandage or case on. And neither foot looks swollen.

I believe it was a broken toe, or toes, because in one of the photos, you can see that they are taped together. In the photo showing her feet in pink flats, you can't see her toes. She very well could have broken them and have them taped together,

On Sept. 27th, Today's show, Kate has a small white, probably gauze bandage, and wearing heels. Most likely a blister got worst therefore the need for flats and create a better story; "I broke my foot". Come on Kate your a nurse LOL. A broken foot one would be in a some kind of cast. Liar Liar pants on fire!

While I'm glad that Paige finally got to meet her idol, I think it was more of an ego boost for Kate than coming from the heart. Initially I thought it was gracious of her to invite Paige up on stage, but after hearing Kate make the "Breath, breath." comment, I knew it wasn't out of concern for Paige but more to pump her own ego up. I can almost hear Kate's inner voice saying "Paige is so lucky to have met me. It's such an honor for her."

I'm not sure, but... I think we're being bullied, here.

Gotta wonder if TFW made herself wait until Mady announced for the 4th time that she needed to see a doctor about her foot. We don't have time for a cast, do we, so we'll just tape the toes.

Wow, in the picture of TFW and Paige behind the counter, I can see what a sloppy mess she made pouring the batter into the tins. Has she never used a spoon or a mini ice cream scoop to ladle batter into tins? Did she just pour batter out of that huge bowl? If so, wow.

Judging by the picture I do think that TFW probably either jammed or broke a toe however having broken a toe myself once I don't see how she's been able to put a shoe on this soon (since it supposedly just happened). My poor little piggies did not want to be confined. Now don't laugh, but I actually wore my Crocs because there was plenty of room in the toe box and thus didn't put any pressure on my toes.

On Marilyn's show, Kate said she submerses herself in whatever she is doing. Shouldn't that be immerse? Dunce. And if people are constantly commenting on her looks and inferring she must not be eating her recipes, she has to be so thin it warrants a comment like that. To me, that is concerning, not complimentary. If Kelly Ripa walked out on stage, and she is thin and in shape, I doubt she would get the same comment. That's because she is healthy-thin. Kate is unhealthy-thin.

Rainbows and unicorns, if you are pre menopausal, you cannot wear muumuus and crocs together, you must pick one or the other. And you can only be delusional OR paranoid, not both.

There is still a lot we don't know about this story and may never know. The deal about Jon paying no child support is troubling. Something about that just doesn't pass the smell test. So much of what we are fed by these people hasn't passed the smell test.
*****
This has been discussed in depth here. Jon and Kate have apparently agreed to split physical custody so they each have approx. 50% time with the children. I would hazard to say that their income is either close to the same, or Kate may still actually be making more than Jon, based on her various deals. DWTS one year; CWS another year; blogging jobs, etc. If they have about the same amount of physical custody, and if they are currently earning about the same (or Kate even more), then it's quite normal that neither one would pay child support.

Just because Jon is the father, does not automatically mean if he's not paying child support, there is something fishy going on. It's based on facts and figures. Percentage of time spent with each parent; income of each parent. Plug that into a computer program and see what it spits out.

Do you think Kate would voluntarily give up taking every last penny from Jon if the child support calculator said he should pay a certain amount each month? Because I don't.
