Jodie Foster's Golden Globe speech: 'The fight for a life that felt real and honest and normal against all odds'

The actress's acceptance of her Lifetime Achievement Award was a little streaming consciousness, but she talked about reality shows, and her lust for privacy.

"You know, you guys might be surprised, but I am not Honey Boo Boo Child. No, I’m sorry, that’s just not me. It never was and it never will be. Please don’t cry because my reality show would be so boring. I would have to make out with Marion Cotillard or I’d have to spank Daniel Craig’s bottom just to stay on the air. It’s not bad work if you can get it, though. But seriously, if you had been a public figure from the time that you were a toddler, if you’d had to fight for a life that felt real and honest and normal against all odds, then maybe you too might value privacy above all else. Privacy. Someday, in the future, people will look back and remember how beautiful it once was. I have given everything up there from the time that I was 3-years-old. That’s reality-show enough, don’t you think?"
Last August, Jodie Foster released some scathing comments about child stardom, calling it the "cruelty of a life lived as a moving target" and said you have to "submerge beneath the foul air and breathe through a straw." Previously, Foster had been fairly polite about being famous.

Kate tweeted only one tweet Monday at about 9:30 pm. Then she tweets nothing at all today.

About 20 minutes ago, at 12:34am she retweets a tweet from someone who has a link to a gofundme site for a little girl killed in a car accident. The original tweeter did not tweet it to Kate. But @Bullyville(who Kate follows) did tweet something to the original poster. This is Kate's retweet:

What I'm wondering is what is Kate still doing up at 12:30 in the morning? Suffering from a bit of insomnia and perusing her twitter feeds. Seems like she couldn't find any praises to retweet, so she picked that one. Seemed kind of weird to me.

New Theory about Kate and Deanna's sooper sekrit trip to Hollywood last fall:

Millionaire Matchmaker's on tonight. The meet-and-greet's being held at the Avalon in Hollywood. I know Patty invites men and women to join the club,so...any chance Kate was on an upcoming episode, as the millionaire or a possible "match"? It's possible, though I didn't think of it 'til this evening, that she was filming (and Deanna was doing makeup for) that. Anyone buy that theory?

When did living like a civilized human being go out of fashion? A live chicken running through the house shitting everywhere, followed by a newborn crawling around on the same floor that hadn't even been cleaned! Sticking hands that aren't washed into food! It was just so disgusting, and not even disgusting in a humorous way, just disgusting on a pathetic level.

June is just one big pile of fail. Failure as a mother, and failure as a human.

I'm all about jokes and having fun, but there's a time. Her kids are so emotionally stunted and lacking in common sense that they can't do anything that doesn't involve some immature joke or prank that are at times, dangerous. And she signs off on it. I know people say they love each other, but why is that so unique? Lots of families love each other, but they don't act like this, and the fact that they love each other doesn't excuse the fact that are basically modern day neanderthals.

Re Golden Globes: I have never seen Lena Dunhams show, but I know critics love it. I do know she needs a new stylist because that dress she wore did nothing to flatter her appearance, and she walked so awkwardly the shoes either did not fit or were too high for her. I think if you are going to wear a long dress so no one will see your feet anyway, then just wear sneakers! If someone does get a glimpse, then you could be starting a new trend of comfortable practical footwear!

More OT:
One of the most fun and fascinating reality competition shows started a new season last night. It's FACE-OFF on the SyFy cable network. Artists compete in creating special effects makeup, and it is fascinating to see how prosthetic makeup is created. The host is McKenzie Westmore who was on the crazy soap opera Passions years ago. I know some other posters here recall Passions and all their ridiculous plots and supernatural shenanigans fondly.
Anyway, Mckenzies father is Michael Westmore who has worked on Star Trek franchises, and won an Oscar and several Emmys for his makeup. He has been a guest judge before, and this season will be a mentor giving practical advice every week.
I like this show so much, it's a little Project Runway and Style Me (remember that blip on the screen? Didn't last but it was fun) in that contestants are asked to create characters based on a specific inspiration, and the contestants are taken to different locations to find out about their challenges. So last night we got to see the Queen Mary and a historic cathedral in Los Angeles. They sketch, they create prosthetics on a short time table, they have access to costuming materials, wigs, all kinds of makeup, and they have to totally style their characters. Fun show.

Wow, I missed a lot yesterday. I'm only going to comment on the hard boiled eggs. I've always put some vinegar (white) in the water when boiling them and most of the time the shells come off pretty easily. I always use the oldest eggs that I've got because I'd read that they have more air between the shell and the egg (?) and that's what makes them easier to peel. However, if I've got to make hard boiled eggs for a function (mine are fameous and always requested) I've got a fool proof method...I buy the boiled peeled eggs at Safeway! Works every time and my eggs are always perfect.

___

I saw parts of two episodes and it was BEYOND offensive.

Three of the girls were at the doctor's waiting for the fourth to show up because the fourth girl was getting an abortion. Well, she didn;t show up because she was busy getting drunk in a bar at 1:00 pm and then having sex in the bathroom with a random guy she just met. Except when she ordered the guy to put his hands down her pants, he pulled his hand out and it was dripping blood. Yes, they SHOWED this.

I then saw part of another episode where she finds out she has HPV and complains about having to go back to her GYN, and accuses her guy friend of giving it to her. He denies, it saying he was just tested and he is "clean." So she must've gotten it from someone else.

I am not kidding. This is the show.

Absolutely. APPALLING. DISGUSTING. This is not "empowering" for women. What I saw was a primer on how not to act.

Just speechless this is "entertainment." And I am by no means a prude. But there is respect/disrespect. These characters have no respect/no standards for their own behavior. You can be as kinky as you want to be without being trashy.

I was being snarky about Kate's umpteenth indeterminate tweet/interview which is her modus operandi. But there's a serious side to why she does what she does, and that is she hooks fans, especially the ones who are prone to being obsessive, unpredictable, inappropriate and even dangerous, by manipulating them with Intermittent Rewards/Reinforcement.
I highly doubt Kate's ever heard of B.F. Skinner. I just think this type of control and manipulation comes to her in an insidious manner because of her personality.
Kate's fans lap up any morsel she throws out to them. Look at the immediate responses she gets when she throws out ONE tweet in 24 hours:
@Kateplusmy8 we miss you more! Xoxo
@Kateplusmy8 miss you Kate and the Kids❤❤
@Kateplusmy8 miss u 2
@Kateplusmy8 Kate r u & the kids ever going to do another show? My kids and I miss u & your family!

It's fascinating and anyone who knows a manipulator, or person who is bipolar, knows that you can hang in there for the good stuff that's doled out sporadically because the crumbs taste so good in light of the absence of crumbs.
Kate must just lap it up when she can ignore her fans forever, but they all come crawling back when they think she's even looking in their general direction.

More OT,
Interested in Michael Westmore s career, so reading a few interviews he has done. Sometimes ” the crew” does have relationships with children that last. He did makeup for The Munsters TV show in the sixties and says he still sees Butch Patrick, the actor who played the young son Eddie. I don't know how to make a link on my phone, it is a star trek interview. Mr Westmore says he put on the actors makeup every morning when he was a little boy, and now they still get together one or twice a year just to visit and talk.
Fascinating to read about the effects he has done. For Raging Bull, he came up with prosthetics that had tubes inside so it could simulate bleeding during fight scenes, and he did the makeup for the Rocky movies, and created the Borg and Ferengi makeup and more for the Star Trek franchise

Jeanne, Girls has gotten a lot of criticism as sort of a poor man's Sex in the City. I think a lot of it operates on sarcasm and hyperbole, and I think that's funny, to a point. I've seen it, and I think some of the writing is very good, especially considering she's only 25. At the end of the day, it's about a very insecure young woman who is trying to fill the void with sex, at least that is the show I see, though I'm not sure if Lena knows that's what she is writing. Maybe she does.

You know what I found refreshing? When Ben Affleck won the award for Best Director (Argo) and gave his speech, he seemed so....nervous. Nervous and a bit unpolished. In an endearing way.

Here is this A-list, rich star with a beautiful wife, and he is nervous to be giving his speech. Some actors seem to look at that award as less prestigious and important than an Oscar, but Ben seemed genuinely humbled and appreciative. It was just nice to see.

Also, he and Jennifer Garner are so adorable together. I don't follow celebrities at all and pay much more attention to who my loved ones are dating than to who is going out with whom in Hollywood.... but I do hope he and Jennifer Garner stay together. They seem to live a very private, genuine, nice life with their children. It's nice to see.

I think it was a little easier for friendships to develop with kids back in the day. The technology on sets has evolved so much that everyone is doing a lot more than they used to. A makeup artist no longer plops on a bit of powder and lipstick, now it's several hours in the makeup chair even for something small. Also people are a lot more aware of boundaries now. Even Kate describes her crew off in the garage and testing sound, and although this annoyed her, it just tells me this was a busy crew trying to do a good job. I never really bought that Kate and the kids were that close to the crew. This is a busy crew working hard and the kids were up to their own things too. All I can say is I never saw anyone trying to befriend the kids I was on set with, though they were NICE to them, and I was more comfortable with it that way anyway. They already have friends. THEIR AGE.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I also thought it was a respect thing. You wouldn't approach someone doing construction work or surveying or something and try to form a friendship--they are out there around you doing their job. If they want to approach you fine, but have some respect for people on the clock doing their job.

There was also sense of, I know Dad and Mommy, and some of your friends, and your sibling are here and it feels like we're just at the park at home, but all those adults are working okay? They'll stop working at this time and we're all going to have dinner together and see a movie together and spend lots of time together.

A movie set is a WORKPLACE that should be respected. It was about respecting those who are doing a JOB.

Just that things can be extraordinarily great when someone is up, and really bad when they're down. To extrapolate, I was in a relationship where BF would be positive and attentive, and then he'd go MIA and be very disaffected.
When it was good, it was good. It kept in hooked in a very unhealthy way for a while and I see Kate's zealous fans in the same way. What is in it for them? How long will they wait for something more than little morsels of attention?
A very long time.
I don't think their weekly Gosselin fix will ever come back, especially not the kids. It's over and they can't see it or move on.

And I should add to my comment #46, manipulation is more often associated with BPD, borderline personality disorder (which is merely a catch-all diagnosis in my opinion). My daughter has been diagnosed with BPD as well. Many diagnosed with BPD are also diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I do not think Kate has BPD. I've said in the past I think Kate may be bipolar and here's the best description I've found for the tone of Kate's tweets that make me think that:

Bi-Polar waves: I've learned by observation that it's not hard at all to tell she is Bi-Polar because I can clearly see the behavior waves rolling through. For 3 to 6 months she will be on cloud 9 and happy as a lark. But - that's when she works herself to the bone (I'm mean all day and night in the house), won't stop to even eat, will redecorate the entire house, and buy all kinds of stuff. Her spending is on the family which is nice, but it can be over the top during this wave. She will sleep maybe an hour or two on a good night. Then, like a light switch - she crashes. And this bottom low is like nothing I've ever been around. It's a deep, deep sadness with frequent crying spells that will last a few weeks followed by an incredible angry period.

Many who are manipulative are very controlling. Kate seems to be extremely controlling. Personally I do not believe her controlling ways are associated with bipolar disorder.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I don't know what disorder it may fit into, but she is manipulative and she is controlling.

Sometimes I really want to put labels on things, but sometimes I think, the labels don't matter that much. The behavior is still the same. As the old saying goes, it is what it is.

"Honey Boo Boo is going to be just fine financially when she gets older, thanks to wise financial planning from Mama June. The reality TV mother has revealed she siphons the majority of the family’s “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” earnings into trust funds for her daughters.

“The family receives between $15,000 – $20,000 per episode, which is divided equally into accounts for Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 7; Lauryn, 12; Jessica, 15; Anna, 18, and baby Kaitlyn, the reality matriarch told TMZ.

“The girls will not be able to access the funds for anything other than schooling (and) medical emergencies until they reach the age of 21, June revealed.

‘”I want my kids to look back and say, ‘Mama played it smart. Not like those other reality TV people,’” she told the website, adding that she never actually receives the money. “TLC puts the money into the girls’ trust accounts for me and then I get an e-mail telling me how much everyone gets.”‘

Kate Gosselin has been keeping her professional life on the down low ever since her highly publicized firing from her former blogging gig at Coupon Cabin in October. On Wednesday, Kate tweeted an cryptic message signaling that she may gave new job.

Over the last few months, Kate has vaguely mentioned being excited about new projects that she couldn't talk about, but would announce at a later date. She has yet to make an official announcement about her employment or any negotiations surrounding book deals or television deals.

On Oct. 17, in Kate's first tweet after her firing, she tweeted, "Good afternoon! I'm alive! I've been busy working away!" after an unusual three day hiatus from her prolific Twitter updates.

On Wednesday morning, Kate tweeted a similar message, saying, "Good morning everyone!I'm busy working on some new stuff and also working (still!) on house projects!Keeping me super busy!I miss you all:)!".

One fan fan responded with a question to which Kate has yet to answer. The fan asked, "@Kateplusmy8 gm kate ...any plans of comming back on Tv miss your show +your kids gb".

That comment was followed up by an unrelated spam comment. Of Kate's 126,338 followers, only six people thought the tease was worthy of a retweet at the time of this article's publication.

I am kind of wondering now if Kate is confusing people just being "nice" with people being your BFFs.

My daughter is like this. If someone is even remotely nice to her, she immediately trusts them 100% with anything and everything.
She doesn't get that they're salespeople; they're paid to be nice to her, they don't really mean it. Or that it's the plumber and he's just being polite while he makes the repairs.

It's hard. I feel like I have to monitor her constantly so she doesn't inadvertently get herself into trouble.
I'm constantly saying to her, no, they're not your "friend", they were just being polite.

Kate has been hinting at projects in the works for MONTHS. At this point, she is doing just enough to keep her fans interested. She feeds them an encouraging tidbit or a wink-wink nudge-nudge hint every so often and then goes back to ignorning them.

All I can say is, she better have something to show for it. Don't get me wrong, I hope those kids weren't exploited in any way, shape, or form. But, as we have all seen, some of those tweeters live for the possibility that Kate's career might come back from the dead.

So for her to get their hopes up for a null result..inexcusable.

Working Woman said...

Or, better yet, she can finally throw in the towel and admit that her life is, in fact, mediocre and boring as hell. You know, like the legendary Jodie Foster did.

She has 8 wonderful, growing kids, yes. Kids that can now fend for themselves for the most part and are likely not running around all over the place like they were five years ago.

Everything is probably much more controlled and subdued than the last time her fans saw her and her family on television. So, the party is over. Now Kate can and should focus on enoying life with her children.

As CEE (Chief Executive Ewe), it's Milo's job to know everything about Kate's show biz life. Didn't she make some comment regarding Aaden's glasses like "I wish my normal kids would be totally normal."

...the HELL? How does wearing glasses make a kid "not normal"? Yes, Aaden was a bit younger than most kids are when they first need glasses, but the bottom line is tons of kids need them eventually. By elementary school, a lot of kids have them.

It does not make someone abnormal. Aaden is not blind; he merely had less-than-perfect vision and the doctor felt he would do better with glasses.

Hardly an inconvenient or debilitating health problem. He was and is still a wonderful, healthy boy.

How dare Kate make a comment like that, especially when there are mothers out there who have children who are sick in hospitals all year round?

I think that she should have said "begging" goes a long way getting you what you want, even if you're living in a million dollar home. You just have to perfect the art of grifting, which she has. So far she's been good at it. It's not going to last forever, though, so she better have Plan B in place.

Exactly what "opportunities" does Kate have, Milo? She's had opportunities to do so many things, but it's her attitude that screwed everything up for her. Seems she's burned so many bridges, that even humility isn't going to help.

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my children,
friends, family and work.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!

I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing. They tell me it is very wet and damp there.

PLEASE DO YOUR PART!

Today is one of the many National Mental Health Days throughout the year. You can do your bit by remembering to send this e-mail to at least one unstable person. My job is done!

Life is too short for negative drama and petty things.

So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly! Well that forgiveness part is up to you!!!

From one unstable person to another... I hope everyone is happy in your head - we're all doing pretty well in mine!

I have to agree. Sometimes, love is not enough, if it's not paired with common sense, setting of appropriate boundaries, teaching your children some basic manners, and otherwise leading by example.

I'm sorry to the folks who say they enjoy this show and believe the fact June treats her children with a lazy indulgent sort of parenting makes it all okay. But it's not okay. She's raising a child who will be paying for the public exposure for the rest of her life, and she's not raising her to fit in with what used to be called "polite" society. Being redneck is one thing; but encouraging tasteless behavior is not the hallmark of good parenting.

Interesting observation, Fido. She tweets as MiloANDJack, so I guess it's a dual think. Jack communicates with Kate via e-mail (and perhaps DM), but Milo the cat never says anything on his own. Cat got his own tongue?

Jack also speaks with Shoka, wants to go on walks with him, but we never hear Milo the cat making any effort to befriend Shoka. Maybe he's just a scaredy- cat.

I remember whem my DD started spitting (not at people)and I just told her spitting in public wasn't a good thing. So,one day she was 3 and sitting on her little pink bike, with her little pink helmet on and she leaned over and spit on the driveway. Then she politely tipped over. She cried and looked at me then said "spitting is bad"

And I replied, "and remember never ever spit into the wind after eating chocolate!" Lesson learned.

Being redneck is one thing; but encouraging tasteless behavior is not the hallmark of good parenting.

=====================

Millicent -- excellent post, said succinctly and very well put. When the parent is "redneck" in behavior and without manners, who is there to teach the child how to live in a polite society? Perhaps, though, that they really don't care about any of that, and if they're happy in their status quo, then it is what it is. For them, it's their societal norm; anything outside of that lifestyle would be artificial to them, and would they ever really fit in?

We all live within a structure of social expectations. This includes how others will react to our manners, our behavior, and how we may influence others. Social norms are the basis for these expectations, and in June's world, this behavior is normal. Manners are not taught. Although she and the family may observe the "polite" behavior around them, it only would become acceptable in their world if they chose to make it so. At this point it seems that believe that they are under no obligation to change anything, including teaching manners or setting boundaries, and therefore, you're going to have a child growing up who is loved, but would feel quite out of place anywhere but where she is now.

There is no excuse, though, for not teaching manners...I don't care who you are, or in what society you live. None whatsoever. This is where I think that June fails miserably and will continue to do so, and it is the child who will be paying for this lackadaisical parenting.

LoveMyGrandsons said...

LoveMyGrandsons said...

In the past, I have shared on this blog the abuse in my childhood. Now, on the subject of teaching children manners, I will share again.

My mother was never much on teaching manners, for that matter, neither of my parents really were. However, they expected us to use manners, but we didn't know what manners were.

I remember as a child eating at a friend's home and overhearing the parents say that it was a shame that I didn't have table manners. As the years went by, I became self-conscious to eat in front of others, and when was at someone's home or out with friends, I was the last to reach for food. I watched and waited to see what others did and then followed their lead. By my mid teens, I started reading columns like Miss Manners and the like to try to learn the proper way to socialize so I didn't embarass myself.

I got over that fear of sitting down to a meal with others because I learned how I should behave. I made sure to teach manners to my daughter so she would feel comfortable with others, and never feel the hurt of overhearing someone talking about her lack of manners.

Anyhow, this is what I feel June's children will go through if she doesn't take the time to teach them social skills.

TxBR549 said...

And if any of the kids said: Please no more filming, would June say 'Okay'? I highly doubt it. She has caught the kk disease.....I watched the one episode and I am done. I can't afford to lose the brain cells.

I am sure she must have had a hard life but I wish she would take some of these services that she has access to now and try to change it around for her and her kids and make it a good positive show about growth and change. The message being that if they could do it so could anyone else. That is kind of the way it started out with Ms. Manners and Ms. America and the dieting, but then they just because caricatures of themselves and they are toast now. What she needs is a good manager. She clearly is not making the right choices now. With property values so cheap where they live she should let TLC get them a bigger nicer house with a deed free and clear and I am sure they would do it. If they are going to continue filming they need a bigger house. Many more episodes like this last one though it won't be a problem much longer.

I hear there is a lot of drama with Mariah and Nikki Minaj....

Crazy Town, it's not a problem. I have mispelled my name when posting several times. Didn't mean to accuse at all, I just honestly worry that while my name is black, anyone can use the name and type anything.

I'm afraid that I just can't stomach the Divas, not even for the best part, which is the tryouts.
I think I'm done, but I had been a fan for years.

LoveMyGrandsons said...

Crazy Town, please don't go back to lurkdom! I just did that myself a couple weeks ago. I was reading someone's post, wanted to respond, and typed their name instead of mine. When I saw the error, I posted a correction. The poster whose name I used made a joke saying she thought she was talking to herself and it wouldn't be the first time! Lol!

It happens, and you cleared up my confusion, and I'm sure Working Woman is not upset about it now that she knows what happened. Please stick around.

Yes, I read Kate's how-to manual on how to mistreat her children.
I don't recall her children being offered free educations though.
I recall she was offered the option of TLC grifted boob job, or paying for it herself off camera.

Craz Town, we would love for you to continue posting!

Everything you have said has been respectful and kind. You did nothing wrong. Heck, once I even wrote in my first name in instead of Working Woman. It wasn't a huge deal, it happens :-)

Well, let's see if we can clear this up....

1. It's 6:52 PM EST
2. Posting as anonymous
3. Hijacking a regular posters name
4. Posting with attitude
5. Blathering the old shtick about cliques
6. Threatening to leave

Ah ha! They're heeeerreeee....

A little early tonight, don't you think? I used to think that it was a vast ewe cabal conspiracy, that they'd all get together and assign nights to drop in here and sh*t all over the place. I even thought they were using some evolving strategies to hide their true identities as ewes for a while as they reeled us all in. Then Blammo, they'd drop the first stinky turd.

But now I wonder if it isn't just one mentally ill idiot hell bent on causing trouble here.

I honestly would love it if they would just be swiffered immediately. There is nothing they have to say that's worth the grief they drop. I'm a big believer in first amendment rights of free speech, but jeez louise, they aren't speaking freely, they are simply agitators and provocateurs out to cause mayhem.

It would be nice if we could ALL just ignore them, but when they out people and post under someone else's name, they need to be gone. And some of their comments are so outrageous it's hard not to slam them back. Of course, that's what they want. What a sad life they must have...

And what the hell is the purpose of them outing folks? I saw a post the other day with someone's name, address etc. It wasn't called an outing, just had the raw data. Luckily, it was swiffered within about 2 minutes. (Good job Admin and Blog Girls)

Why do they do this?!

I vote for swiffering them with a bleach solution.........

Permanent Name, I appreciate the concern but the name issue seemed to be an accident and I appreciate Crazy Town's honesty.

However, ever since the outing and anonymous stuff started, I have been more aware as to how easy it would be for a name to be hijaked. Right now, I click on the name/url option and just type in "Working Woman" .... if there is another way I can do it that would prevent hijaking, that would be wonderful.

Does everyone who has had their real life name ''outed'' know it was done? In the past, I've been called names by the person doing the outing, but as far as I know, my real life name wasn't ''outed''. However, I can't be positive, since I don't always see the content of the outing, only others talking about them being swiffered.

Of couse alot of folks said they were both nuts for taking on 4 small children when they should have been enjoying retirement. I know in my heart and soul that they thoroughly enjoyed those retirement years...what an adventure!

Working Woman and Crazy Town,

Again, my apologies to Crazy Town. I didn't see her explanation until after I posted my mini-rant.

Working Woman, we all did the blue name thing back awhile ago and I'm not sure if I remember exactly how I did it.... we all were doing it because there was a spate of hijackings....

I think:

Make a google/gmail email address that is completely UNLINKED to any other gmail or google blog you own.

IE, your name could be 'Working Woman in Blue' and your gmail account could be workingwomaninblue@gmail.com

The important thing is to make sure that account is not linked to anything that could ID your real name

Now, how to do that... I think go to google.com

click on top for email

make a new account

ANYONE ELSE, did I explain that correctly for WW?

Unknown said...

The only think I would add is that until I signed out of my regular gmail account, I couldn't create the 'Blue' account.

ADMIN, is this a safety issue for those who are outed? I'm scratching my head here.....

I should clarify - what I saw was a raw data dump, there was no connection to a screen name here.

You can delete this if you want to, my feelings won't be hurt. Blog security and poster security come first....

**********************************************

Admin...I asked you a while back if there was some way you could find out whose doing the outing. Someone was outed this morning and it stayed posted here for hours before it was
swiffered. I think all of us have a right to know what's going on, if it can be stopped, if it's being reported and if our information can remain safe on this blog. I'd like an answer, please.

Melissa,

That was me. Someone said she could post using my screen name. I asked her to try because I thought it couldn't be done, but..... it can. The attempt was done at my request and the poster was polite. We chalked it up to a learning experience.

In case folks don't know how, I'm not going to tell them.... LOL.

But it takes a lot of effort to do it and we all sort of decided it was not worth worrying about...

It's really remarkable how quiet Kate's Twitter timeline has become. Even when she does grace her fans with a tweet, only a few frenetic fans reply along with a couple of kids who are seeing the show in reruns. Remember when there'd be hundreds of tweets an hour? I wonder if Kate was told to chill because of a possible job or if she no longer gives a crap. The thing with Kate, though,is that she needs constant acknowledgement of how wonderful she is ... Where is she getting it? I hope she finally got on meds.

I don't think anyone should be taking the "outing" of people on this blog so casually. Is this their first step onto bigger things? If it's the person I think it is, she's in big trouble right now with the authorities and apparently, this hasn't stopped her. She had a single mother fired from her job among other things. She crazier than a junk yard dog and is capable of anything.

I, for one, would like some answers to the steps that are being taken for our security. This is no joke.

Please email Admin and stop feeding the trolls. This is EXACTLY what they want.
Move on or don't post until you feel that you're safe.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

This is not the place to discuss "outing" but since the question has been asked with such demand I will say once, no I'm really not doing anything on this end and no I really don't know anything more than you do. I tend to think warring with them just makes it worse. These sort of mentally ill do not respond to normal things we would like police or the law. Often, that eggs them on.

It is up to each individual what they would like to do about it. I do not take on battles for the blog. That is up to you. Whatever that action is is up to you. Don't assume just because people are choosing a very reasonable tactic of ignoring it that people are blowing it off. I myself laughed it off, along with others, as well as a great amount of simply feeling sorry for them, when it happened to me, but one of these days they're going to find someone who won't laugh it off.

Let's see how much she likes THAT reality!

Also if I hear one more time that the sheeple got a single mom fired I'll scream. Do not bring this tit for tat here. Since I myself have no way to verify what really happened (wasn't the issue that she was on the INTERNET at work when her work did not allow that? Some don't care and some do and it's up to you to know the policy), I see absolutely NO value in dragging such things onto this blog. It is IRRELEVANT to me how righteous or terrible whatever it is happened, bringing it here, in my opinion, eggs it on and makes it WORSE.
