I normally try to stay out of this type of thing, but Anonymous, you aren't being that respectful in your posts. There is a way to disagree with someone or question the legitimacy of their post in a kind, tactful way. What are you getting out of speaking that way to someone? Reading some of the back-and-forth that has gone on here lately has made me cringe.

My husband's skinflint millionaire aunt and uncle used to take all the little sugar packets off restaurant tables. And the jams, and the peanut butters and the creamers. They'd also take extra squares from the dessert cart, wrap them in napkins and eat them at home.

What did they do at a buffet restaurant? Line a tote bag with plastic zip locks and shove everything in there?
Did the towels and ashtrays also disappear from hotel rooms?!!

Admin said: She turned down a free moose hotdog from Sarah Palin. That was the one time. I stand corrected.

I hate to correct you but she didn't turn down the moose dog she THREW it down. (Ha!)

Dwindle #200, what a wonderful way to explain the whole sad situation. How true your analogy is.

By the way, don't ever apologize for talking about your daughters. We love hearing the updates. Also, you may not know this, but sometimes I tend to comment alot about my grandsons. Lol!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Do you have grandsons, dear? Oh I didnt know (wink wink). You arent one of those silly grandmas who thinks her boys caught a virus with a rash coz she let them play too hard, are you? You know... those guilt stricken grandmas?

If that comes across snarky, I dont mean it that way. It is gentle teasing, with my arm around your shoulder, about what a wonderful grandma you are who takes your time with the boys very seriously and relishes every minute of it! Does that make sense?

haha. Probably.

That was the ONE and ONLY time we went out with them. It was at a family gathering for a milestone birthday for a relative and, yes, it WAS a buffet. They were as giddy as goats with that spread. I AM surprised she didn't line her purse with ziplocks. lol. Maybe she did.

She was also quite a hoarder.

She is such a bimbo. Why would an adult woman, mother of 8 children want to have that look. Long blonde straight hair is for teenagers and the dress and overly tanned skin. Please Kate stop making a fool of yourself. You are not a Hollywood starlet.

A Mom said...

"Starcasm" report released on Aug. 4 saying; Kate has signed on to do a dating reality show. Just have to find a network. Think Kate figures if Jenny McCarthy, 40 years, can do "Love in the Wild" on ABC so can Kate Gosselin! What do you think?

Thank you MUCH for the additional info on the ear tipping. As many of you know (coz I have beat it into your heads) I have family in Nashville and I know someone who is involved in this. I had never heard of it before but it really does seem to be working for their neighborhood.

Again, thanks to both of you for the info!!!

A Mom, she doesn't have a network, therefore she doesn't have a show.

I haven't thought of A Farmer's Wife in years!!! I caught bits and pieces on PBS a long time ago. But now I found it on YouTube thanks to admin and I can't stop watching. I agree it's a documentary, not "reality" TV. It's so compelling. I will say, though, Darryl sure talks a lot for being a Midwestern farmer. ;)

Of course you have. *sigh*

I totally am doing a post right now on the beautiful reality show Farmer's Wife.

We should watch it together like a book club! :) What do you say ladies? It's all on Youtube.

Kate is a Witch said...

Oh yes, PLEASE. I am so into it. I love authentic biographical shows. I just finished part three on YouTube.

Juanita is really smart and I think Darryl is sweet.

I was thinking about how unstaged it seems compared to today's reality shows. Can you imagine them giving those piglets vaccinations and the director saying "wait, can we do that again, but you need to talk about how Allstate is your insurance?"

Uh, we can't vaccinate the piglets again.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Dwindle exactly, and conversely, what issues would you impute on someone who doesn't like Kate? Well I would say that person probably loves children and feels very protective of children. I would say that maybe that person had a grifter or liar or narcissist in their life. Perhaps they had a mother who treated them poorly. I would say that person has a sense of fairness and equality and a sense of values that rewards hard work and perseverance, not getting something for nothing. I would say I would like to get to know that person.

Crazy the contrast in what brings each "side" to come down on that side.

New post about Farmer's Wife! I hope everyone will participate in the screening.

I have to question how much "admin" really knows about Jon. The place he was working at was called gameFACE NOT gameSPOT.
So if you can't even get the name right how are we supposed to beleive that you even know if he is working there or not???

*****************************

Anon 191, I believe it's called a "brain fart." I had one myself when I said the Keswick Theatre (where I witnessed Jon and Kate in complete grift mode) was in Abington. Duh, I know it was in Glenside, but in reminiscing about our time in PA, and thinking about a good friend, I had Abington-on-the-brain. Doesn't mean I made up the story -- which I most certainly didn't -- just as Admin's mis-typing Jon's workplace's name doesn't mean she's necessarily making anything up.

Why the hostility, Anonymous? If you don't like what you're reading here, you have the freedom to read elsewhere. It would be one thing if your dissident opinion added some value to the conversation. Heck, I'm always up for a lively debate. But you just seem interested in being contrary and argumentative. I respectfully suggest that you work out your anger issues with a good therapist, and stop wasting our time with your nonsense.

Juanita said they make 10-12,000 dollars a year off the farm. That's crazy. How could anyone raise a family on that? She cleaned houses and Darrel had a job pushing steel to make up the difference. I don't see her crying about bills to be paid on the Today show.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The anger seems to be mostly directed at admin. It's as though this anonymous person scrutinizes her posts in particular, just waiting to pick them apart. There is nothing she/he adds to the discussion, only angry nitpicking.

Retaliation? For what?

Midnight whatever I did to them I'm sorry! I've implored them to please email me privately so we can talk this out. They won't. I'm sorry it's bogging down the blog.

capecodmama - I spent a lot of time in Edinburgh (for the Folk Festivals), a lot in the suburbs of Glasgow going to various places with friends, at one point I hitched around the Highlands, I went to other music festivals, but my favorite was the islands - Orkney, Shetland, Mull, Iona, Lewis & Harris (my absolute best experience). I love bagpipes too! And Trump is a pig. What else can you say?

Sorry about all the OT, everyone else.

Kiwi, As Time Goes By is my favorite (LOVE Judi Dench)! I don't know what age you are, but did you (or anyone else) ever watch Poldark in the mid-late 70s? I'm dying to talk about it with someone, so if there is anyone, we might need to take it to email!

amyf said...

Oops, just reread - it was capecodmama who mentioned As Time Goes By. I think.

Luke's Mom lol. Which begs the question, if it's a product Kate likes, what is the point of taking freebies? You already know the product and know you like it, so go buy it. Usually samples are to try things out and see if you want to buy. Not just for the sake of getting free samples for no reason.

Also did she refrigerate that guac all the way back from NYC? Eww, did she bring a cooler for her freebies? Let's hope so.

Our farmer's market is a feeding frenzy with the free samples. It's really shameless sometimes. I thought those samples were to decide whether the pears or the peaches are better this week, not to fill up on a pound of fruit so you can skip dinner tonight.

I also read at a local Massachusetts womans' blog. She attended the BlogHer conference, too. When she returns with her swag, she has a contest on her blog and gives it away! See Kate, that is how you should treat your followers, give back. Milo would be in heaven to win one of your prizes. Instead, Kate brags on twitter about using all the freebies and then goes on to grift more.

These animals, assorted breeds, deserve a vote. please call your senators and ask them to co-sponsor or vote yes for bill S.2134 "Canine Members of the Armed Forces Act " This act will protect the bomb/drug sniffing dogs. These are not attack dogs. Otherwise, they will be euthanized. thank you.

Not trying to bash the kids, but the post touting how 'lovely'Leah is and 'beautiful' the twins are made me chuckle. They are, to use one of her heinous' favorite words, mediocre at best. They are no worse, but also, waaaay, no better than any ordinary kids who populate most of our mundane lives.

Did she mention gas buddy? That's a great app. Kate strikes again. Buy a 300 dollar iPhone pay 70 odd dollars a month to keep it going to get an app that on average saves you a few bucks. An iPhone is a luxury, period.

Moose Mania said...

@Kateplusmy8 @couponcabin I have an app that recognizes landmarks! Take your kids out 4fun once in a while&using an app like that! #grinch

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

I don't know. It must just be me. What did we do before apps? How did we recognize landmarks without having an app to do it for us? When traveling, how did we show our kids Mt. Rushmore (Teddy, Kate, not FDR). How did we find the Statue of Liberty and the Washington Monument? Would we walk over a field in Gettysburg and not know where we were?

Are we becoming too dependent on technology to do everything for us?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I'm betting the kids just wish apps would go away and Mom would but down her darn iPhone and look at them.

ExNurse, how do you know Kate is a Registered Nurse? I always thought they were very clever to keep calling her a Labour and Delivery Nurse rather than a RN, because as I've pointed out you can be a 'nurse' of some type working on a unit but that doesn't make you a Registered Nurse. Where did you see she was a RN?

mamasan said...

forgive me, but I had to check the beach photo that Kate put on twitter. I cannot believe those children had to sit in a line on a ceramic floor. Someone once named their residence and orphanage. It looks more like an indoctrination camp. Kate has managed to suck the spontaneity from M&C and the "littles." I believe, if she hasn't tried already, Kate will try to copyright/trademark that adjective.

grandee4 said...

mama mia,
There are 2 kinds of nurses. RN and LPN. Kate is a RN who specialized in Labor and Delivery. She also specialized in Dialysis at one time in here career.

No one else should be labeled "nurse" unless they are registered or licenced by their State Board of Nursing.
