Holy Rumspringa, oh my! It's Cancellation Party time (and raffle time!)!

It's been one year since Kate Plus 8 was given the axe. And in honor of this milestone, pull up a kangaroo pelt on the cold hard floor (Realitytvkids.com is not responsible for resulting back problems), stay a spell and help yourself to a Rumspringa (or two)!

It's also raffle time! We're raffling off two DVD copies of our summer "book club" selection, filmmaker David Sutherland's magnum opus, The Farmer's Wife. This intimate documentary of a young Nebraska couple and their sweet girls chronicles three years in their struggle to save the farm and their marriage.

Here are the rules: Anyone who posts on this thread is eligible, except for anonymous posts (unless signed with the name you always use) and Realitytvkids.com staff. Realitytvkids.com will draw two winning numbers from the total numbered comments on Thursday night. Winners will be announced here as soon as we draw. Winners must provide a name and mailing address to admin@realitytvkids.com to claim your prize. Otherwise you will need to opt out. Good luck!

Be sure to tune in next spring to Frontline for David Sutherland's newest project, Kind Hearted Woman, about Oglala Sioux single mother Robin and her two children.

I need a double rumspringa! Sheeple are saying that we should tweet the company our thanks for giving Grifty a free vacation. Seriously, this woman obviously has more than enough money or she would have gotten a job! She is laughing at all of them. I am also so tired of her constant need to be told she is a super mom. She is a mother, she choose to have them, now she should raise them and stop patting herself on the back for doing things all mothers do everyday. Thanks for letting me vent!

Kate retweets this??? I think this is CREEPY am I the only one?

This reminds me of that crazy sheeple lady who used Alexis as her avatar and keep tweeting her adoration for Alexis, saying that she wished Alexis would be her own daughter. That one was beyond creepy.

Has Ms. Malaprop arrived yet? I was hoping to meet Moses.
I just found out that my family left me and went to some faraway beach house without me. I heard that they allow pets-what am I?

That does it-I'm looking for a new home.

Mrs. Malaprop-you sound like a nice lady-do you have room for one more, please?
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

AWW shoka. One of the things we had to do today was go to a meeting with a lawyer and HunnyBunny's sister. The sister is pretty well to do and has early onset dementia. She is starting to do some serious estate planning. She wants us to eventually take over her two homes on 28 acres. One of the things we asked her was how she would like the propery used because we would like to adopt more rescue dogs. She loved that and it being written into the paperwork. (I know Admin is scratching her head, but there are additional complications to this...)

Sis in law is only 61 and I dont wish her into a nursing home any sooner than need be, so you probably cant come live with us as soon as you would like to. I'm sorry sweet pup, that you are all all all alone.

Admin 175,
We didn't really see much in the way of beach toys, anyway, did we? I mean the picture with the tent, were there toys waiting under the tent for all the kids to be used once they came ashore to dig and play in the sand, no. The pictures with the kids in the water, did they each have some water gear, no, some did and some did not. As to the food, I really doubt she brought fish (that they ate the first night) in a cooler all that distance. Why would someone going to the coast not eat fresh seafood from that area? They had to have gone to the grocery store to buy the ice cream so why not just buy the rest there as well?

Given this quote from Kate's beach story - "I couldn’t have done it without each generous piece that was offered lovingly by each of you!" makes me wonder if Kate didn't rent the trailer to haul grifted items to the beach.

I too was a swimmermama for some years, 2 of my kids did swimteam, competitions, and every year they got Red Cross certifications. I have the greatest video film of my 4 year old daughter in competition, with me only 3 days away from giving birth to my son. In the film I even say, "This is what you looked like when your mother was 9 months pregnant with you." That baby started swimming lessons at 4 months old.

Groceries at these summer town stores are very expensive. Prices highly inflated. For a large family, we used to bring as much as possible too. My uncle was a police officer for city of Detroit and in the days before direct deposit, he would drive back to the city to get his paycheck and restock us on groceries from the city. It was an all day trip but the adults felt it was worth it for the savings.

I am now having some wonderful memories of our free Cottage vacations on the Great Lakes; the meals, the house, the beach, the town, the sand, everything. Even the awful orange well water that I had to brush my teeth with and the jugs of city water we brought with us.

The following from an article entitled "Jodie Foster sticks up for Kristen Stewart, blames ‘gladiator sport of celebrity culture’"

Foster offered a birds eye view into what it is like to grow up in the spotlight -- as she too was a child actor, working since the age of three. "If I had to grow up in this media culture, I don't think I could survive it emotionally. I would only hope that someone who loved me, really loved me, would put their arm around me and lead me away to safety," Foster wrote, clearly empathizing with Stewart.

In the trendy places ehh slightly, but Alabama?

Let's assume groceries are even costing you DOUBLE what they would normally cost. It still would never make up for all the money you spent on a UHaul trailer plus the extra gas to lug the trailer. Never.

Dwindle 18,

We did too, but we didn't rent a trailer to haul the food in. Seems like factoring in the cost of trailer rental would not offset the inflated cost of the food.

If the rental is in Gulf Shores like we suspect, there is a Walmart and a Winn Dixie right in that town. Big chains like that don't usually inflate their prices just because of the location. If bread costs 2.99 at the Winn Dixie where you are it's 2.99 everywhere. Same with Walmart.

Of course, she just has to include @AmericanGirl in that tweet. Poor Kate should do some research before she tweets a company's name that she's hoping to grift come.

There is an American Girl twitter(American_Girl), but it is not the official twitter of AG. The site linked to the AG twitter account has histories about different dolls but if you want to buy one, it gives you a link to Amazon.com to do so.

The official AG site, does not have a twitter account.

Kate really should learn that the first rule of grifting is to know the company you're trying to grift from.

I also noticed that that radio person tweeted that it's only 25 more days to the 5K run to benefit the Special Olympics. Kate tweeted back "I'm ready!". Yet, Kate hasn't tweeted anything about it since she did the radio interview with them. Kate really sucks at promoting things.

And she didn't even tweet thanks to Relax on the Beach, until she saw that one of her tweeties did so.

You are right. My memories go back 40-55 years and were about an Upper Michigan tiny town that shut down tight for the horrendously horrendous winter. No big boxes back then, other than Piggly Wiggly.

I am still having wonderful memories over here of the recipes my aunt and mother used. TINY freezer/fridge so lots of canned tuna, chicken, and other sources of protein. 12 kids and for the LIFE of me I dont recall a mashed and mangled peanut butter and jelly sandwich EVER being flung at any time. I remember PLATTERS of beautiful sandwiches, and freshly baked cookies, brownies and cakes every single day.

She was smarter than I ever gave her credit for and got some good financial advice and now just lives off her millions. It is fraud in California to misrepresent your financial situation for gain.

Didn't tv guide or a writer for tv guide say that Kate Gosseln was worth about $5 million. I remember reading Jon countersued TLC back in 2009 for that amount.

Tamara, the Lost Colony is equal opportunity play! The first scene in first act had british explorers coming and fighting a tribe. Manteo and Wanchese went to England, a big plot point is how Wanchese turns against the colonists when he finds relatives were killed by the British.
Probably the survivors went inland and joined a tribe either by choice or force, no one knows. there is a DNA project underway to try and find generic connections between north Carolina Indian tribes and people descended from the settlers relatives in Britain and remains of colonists buried on roanoke island.

I heard a rumor that the Ocean City Superfresh on 8th street is closing and the ACME will move to that location leaving the 34th street location empty. It will give you an opportunity to go to the Shop Rite in Marmora, which is a very nice store.

Another history tidbit, there is a group of people in southwest Virginia known as Melungion, the family legends were that Portuguese sailors made their way there after being shipwrecked and intermarried into native tribes. Recent published genetic research has found genes shared with people from some African nations. This has been a big surprise to some in the Melungeon community, and they think the ancestors of 200 or 300 years ago kept it a secret from their children.
Recent discovery of an altered map in the British Museum leads researchers to believe the colonists went inland, and gives archeologists new clues of where to look for traces of settlements. It would not be surprising to find that survivors joined tribes like the playwrite thinks.

Because I'm so very angry at Kate the piggy grifter I went back and found the article by Steve Batallio - the tv guide business editor - who wrote that Kate Gosselin earned $250,000 an episode. Her lawyers must have re-negotiated a damn fine contract.

I highly doubt this guy would report false information. He sounds reputable:

Stephen Battaglio is the business editor for TV Guide Magazine. His coverage of the television business has appeared in The New York Times, Fortune, The New York Daily News, The Hollywood Reporter and Inside.com. He is also the author of David Susskind: A Televised Life, a biography of the pioneering talk show host and producer published by St. Martin’s Press. He has appeared as a media commentator on numerous TV news programs, including NBC’s Today, CBS Sunday Morning and Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

Basically what Jodi Foster is saying is look, it was even hard for me as a child star but I made it work BUT it was a different era back then it wasn't quite as intrusive as it is now. NOW DAYS I never would have made it.

So sheeple take note, when you say Jodie Foster and Ron Howard are success stories, Jodie Foster is explaining to you that precariously so that is true, but it was a different time and bears no resemblance to how exploitive things are now.

Yes BINGO. Kate has dug herself in a hole she cannot get out of. Either way she looks like a complete tool.

If she is so poor and has to budget so much, what happened to all her money????? We have proof now of HUGE contracts worth 85 thousand dollars in just one sitting! We have multiple accounts of Kate worth in the low millions, 250,000 an episode. Where did it all go you tool??? You squandered it all??

And if she DID carefully save all this, which is what I firmly believe to be the case, then she's just a GOD DAMNED LIAR. And tool.

Kate definitely stayed in the Sunflower house. Kate Is A Twit found it earlier. There is a video of the home and the black curtains and entertainment center & TV is a 100% match to the photo Kate took of the kids watching TV at the beach. It is a great house right on the beach with 5 bedrooms and 5 baths. It sleeps up to 12.

The rate changed on Aug. 11 to $4,299. We know Kate was there at least by the 7th during peak season so that rate had to be much higher for those few days. Probably with taxes and other fees it would have cost her at least $5,500 in rent had she paid for the week.

What is totally baffling is how she planned this in May along with her cruise that was suppose to happen at the same time.

No, Katie Irene won't qualify for financial aid. No grifting on the FAFSA form.

If she's still in PA, Penn State University Park is not cheap. They are selective as well. Much like UT Austin and Texas A&M, there are no guarantees on being accepted.

Katie will probably have them go the CC route with the final two years of credits at Kutztown to meet the budget.

Auntie Ann,

Your post-party bum reminds me of some stupid youtube videos I've seen.

Apparently, kids nowadays in college get drunk at parties, pass out, and their lovely caring friends draw all over their faces with permanent magic marker.

While on one level it is funny to see (in an oh-my-gawd horror way) it is also scary to think of girls so drunk they pass out, and are at the complete mercy of others.

If they get their faces scribbled on with permanent magic markers, you have to wonder what else they might be subjected to by the drunk guys.

Scary, scary.........

Luckily none of your cyber friends brought magic markers and were there to protect and care for you. This is truly a caring community, as some other poster already said.

A plastic bag would have looked silly enough, but can you imagine having to explain 'umm', 'honestly' and 'helloooooo' written on your backside?! Not to mention all the '8s'........ you really dodged a bullit there! LOL

"What is totally baffling is how she planned this in May along with her cruise that was suppose to happen at the same time."
********
Maggie-I totally agree! How long before did she know that the cruise wasn't happening OR did she cancel her part in the cruise, when this offer came up? It could also be that when the announcement of the cruise cancellation was made(May 9) that this company took pity on poor Kate and made this offer.

I also saw on their website where they advertise for beach house owners who want to rent their homes. They take care of all the arrangemnts for the owner and act as a go-between between the owner and the guest. I still wouldn't be surprised if a fan has such an arrangement with them and offered up her house for Kate with the agreeent that they remain anonymous.

Also, remember the guy asking about bikini shots? He asked that on July 2, and Kate so coyly tweeted:

"lol...I'd give anything to go to the beach with my tribe...but no, don't have any sorry!”

"If I get to the beach this summer, there's sure to be some, sadly (for me)!"

Even on May 30, she tweeted:

"hey lady, I saw your tweet yesterday. Did you have to rub it in? :) my kids are BEGGING for a beach get away :)"

Admin: You know how you had a calendar during DWTS tracking all the time Kate wasn't at home. Well, I think it would be great to start a list of all the out of state places Kate has visited seen this past Sept. when she was axed from TLC. And all the future places Kate will travel to. For instance, I think she has 2 out-of-state marathons coming up again.

Her blog today about how she barely could afford even a vacation (with free lodging) was total bullshit. And all the budgeting talk about scrapping by are all lies.

-- "This has been a very tightly budgeted year and I wasn’t sure our budget could stretch to accommodate a family vacation this summer"

-- "I just didn’t know how I was going to pull it off"

-- "I made a complete expense budget"

-- "This me reminded once again, that memories, even memories on a budget, are always worthwhile and if it’s at all possible, then it’s a “must do!”

Question: How come she has to budget and scrap by to plan a yearly vacation for her kids yet she spends thousands on herself traveling here and there. And that doesn't include traveling to NY for her hair. Even if the cut/color is free, it is costing her money for travel expenses.

Admin, I think starting a list of her out of state "vacations" (including the past year) would be great to prove what a liar she is. And of course, how she has tons of money for herself but not her kids.

P.S. Kate thinks they made "memories on a budget". She insults the majority of America and the world. Traveling in a 2012 Mercedes luxury van, staying in a beautiful 5 bedroom/5 bath home on a great beach, and grilling steak and other great foods are hardly a "budget vacation". Oh, and let's not forgot her 3 personal helpers & babysitters at her beck and call.

Jodie has her demons. Yes, she is successful but at what cost? Where is her privacy? When will people stop wondering about her sexuality?

Ok, here's some trivia for you. Anybody remember when she played "Joey" on Courtship of Eddie's Father? Joey was picking on Eddie but he wouldn't hit his bully back. Why, because Joey was a "girl."

Ewww, icky girls. Oh wait, it's boys that are icky. I'm so confused.

yeah, long time ago.

Ha-ha! Karma for never actually pulling out the nice camera she has. Look at the sample entries, they're sharp as a tack.

I will definitely do a post on Jodie Foster but I may wait a day or two for the party to be over. It's one of our biggest "bams!!" in awhile. I even remember a shit stirrer here going on and on a few months back about how wonderful Jodie Foster is as proof there is nothing wrong with exploiting kids.....OOPS!

Thanks Jodie.

@Mydmaxx @kateplusmy8 Hey Girl...everthings good! Im trying to get use to the school schedule!=/

@LEIGHSHAHAN1 @Mydmaxx ohhh yes! It takes a month here. September is least favorite of the entire year, but soon goes smoothly. It'll happen! about 2 hours ago

Admin. I don't think Kate meant it takes a month for school prep in August. I think she meant that it takes a month (Sept.) for her kids to get use to their new school schedules & probably their new teachers. Then again, who knows what stirs in her crazy mind.

I read everyone's posts today and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had some hearty laughs all day. I appreciate everyone on this blog and think y'all are a wonderful group. And special thanks to Admin. & her staff for their hard work and putting up with us all.

Hey, guys, glad you all had a good time. I'm still up, cause, I've developed a itching reaction to the amoxicillin, I've been taking. Never had that happen before. I looked it up online, to discover that seafood, would give me an reaction. Though I've never been allergic to seafood either. But the article I read said, if the 2 are combined, you can get an reaction, and one is itching, on various places on your body. I have it on my hands, a little on my legs, some on my neck, but mostly on my hands. Very annoying. No swelling, just itching, and if I ignore it, it stops. Tomorrow, I'm off to the clinic, again. I have 2 more of those pills, I'm not gonna take them, or my fish oil. I have heard it takes 24-48 hours to clear out of ones system. I need allergy meds.

I don't think you need allergy meds. Just stop taking the antibiotics with the fish oil. What the hell is fish oil for anyway?

Your itching will be gone in 24 hrs. after the last antibiotic you take.

Have you tried taken Benadryl? It will get rid of the itching and will make you sleepy.

I am so glad Kate will not be on Dancing with the Stars. She should admit that she has no talent in that regard. I'm rooting for Carson Kressley.

I'm predicting Kate will be tweeting about the summer homework the kids have to have completed before the first day of school. I'm sure she will complain about the chaos of 6 kids making 6 dioramas.

Morning sorry I missed last night but am making Canadian bacon on a bun for everyone's breakfast - come and get it!

How much would gas have cost? I keep getting confused trying to convert. Canadian $/kilometers per litre to us gallon & miles per us gallon :-)

Barb Gilman said...

Lilly, the Sprinter probably got 15 mpg because she was pulling a trailer. Gas might have cost her $4 a gallon. How far was her drive?

Lilly said...

Thanks Barb - think someone said 1100 miles each way so that would be about $300 x 2 = $600.

You know these crazy people that tweet Kate about coming to England or where ever, what do they think. Do the honestly think that if she does manage to somehow grift her way to England that the first thing she will do is look them up and drop in for a cup of tea. Just makes me shake my head at how stupid these people really are.

Kate could be an alcoholic....I had a friend who died from being a wine drinker. Kate is always so exhausted when she wakes up and needs to much coffee with coffee_mate creamer! I wonder if she is just suffering from daily hangovers

I would love to win this DVD of the farmers wife I'm dying to see it in it's full capacity. How nice of you to offer it in a raffle. I never really win anything and I'm not really anticipating winning this but I love your blog and figured I would comment and at least try to win it.
