She wouldn't be practicing in Illinois, she would be nursing in Pennsylvania where there is a serious nursing shortage. Employers would hire her because PA NEEDS NURSES! I doubt if employers would sit down and watch episodes to see what kind of a person she is. You know and I know that her bedside manner would be less than desirable, but if she has credentials, is licensed, she should have no problem securing a position in nursing regardless of the way she behaves on episodes, which could be passed off as directed scripting for ratings. It's television, and as such, she could be perceived as simply fulfilling a television role. Employers would look at her resume, her nursing skills and references, NOT at clips of her running around NYC in hooker heels.

Kate has taken this Twitter thing way too far, and once again, it's a case of her not being able to look into the future and see a possible negative outcome. Certainly, celebrities tweet fans, but how many of them tweet about things that should be kept private? They don't reveal minute by minute details of their daily lives, nor do they lay everything on the table - their desperation, their fears, their wants (bucket lists), or their pleadings to keep a show on the air.

You just have to wonder what's going on in the brain of a woman who says that she watched the show forever and Jon ruined the family but Kate healed it. If you've seen all of the episodes, how in the heck can you come to the conclusion that he ruined the family? How did he do that? What does she mean by "ruined" the family? Is it really possible for someone's thinking to be so screwed up? Apparently so.
More interesting would be an explanation of how she "healed" the family. If anything, it's become dysfunctional because of her narcissism, her mood swings, her rudeness and treatment of others, and her constant bashing of Jon. The Reading Eagle's dislike for Kate goes way back to when they ran an article about her grifting. She called the newspaper editor and threw a hissy about them taking food out of her kids' mouths. She can litigate all she wants. You can sue anybody you want in this country, for almost any dumb reason you can think of.
But WINNING is another matter. There's a reason TLC has contracts, and TLC is very, very good at contracts. Remember how little J&K were paid at first? TLC has lawyers, lots of them; J&K had none, and they got taken for a ride, perfectly legally.
Not only does TLC have lawyers, they've got deep pockets with which to pay the lawyers. More lawyers and deeper pockets than K8 could ever dream of. AND TLC's got K8 signatures on their tried-and-true contracts.
So, yes, K8 can sue until she runs out of money, but it's unlikely to get her one red cent. TLC didn't get to be this good at the exploitation game without knowing exactly what they were doing: Signing up vulnerable, stupid, poorly educated, unsophisticated folks so that TLC could rake in the profits from the ensuing trainwreck.
Well I wasn't too worried about TLC, I am just trying to kinda foresee what she'll try to pull next....she continues to just sink lower every time I read here!

If this were possible, then all the recently unemployed tv actors could do the same. Like Kate, their tv show was their only job and family income.
Just because Kate's on a reality show doesn't mean she should be given special circumstances, like a network forced to financial support a former tv family.
It's a slap in the face to tv actors/real celebrities when Kate complains about how will she support her eight kids if her show is canceled. How many of them are complaining that canceling their show will financial harm their family?
If she hasn't saved money for their long-term future, then it's HER FAULT and no one else should be liable.

I read this twitter comment as a dig against Ellen. For the record I doubt she is the reason for Jon's non-attendance at church, IF IT IS TRUE he is not attending. For all she knows, he could be live streaming the services as she does:) There's also a lot of rage in these statements--primarily because she cannot control Jon as in the past. He,gasp!, is now making his own decisions and/or discussing his life choices with another woman!

Kate is such a hypocrite. She has missed numerous Sundays at church, including today. What Jon did or didn't do or what Kate did or didn't do is completely irrelevant to the fact that they shouldn't be badmouthing each other and certainly not publicly. Ok, this is slightly off topic, but does anyone remember watching the little horror movie the Roloff's shot at their pumpkin farm? It was kinda cute. I've been thinking about How Low's question about Karma and what a short movie about Karma coming to Kate's would look like. What I see is a kind of faceless hag in long, flowing, PINK robes walking slowly from the TLC headquarters to the McMansion in Pennsylvania carrying a certified letter announcing the non-renewal of the series. Cut in some scenes showing people gathering outside the grounds of the McMansion, then back to the Karma hag, then back to the crowd which is getting bigger and is made up of all the people who have been used by Katie Irene over the years--the church people, her family, Jodi and Kevin, various celebrities, and Jon. As the Karma hag opens the gate, the Gosselin 8 come running down the driveway (so fast their faces are a blur)and into Jon's arms. Fade out . . . .
I gotta quit staying up so late. I'm sure more imaginative people can add to this scenario. Administrator, how about a thread devoted just to what Karma will look like when it arrives at Katie Irene's and the fall-out for everyone involved.

Kate has taken this Twitter thing way too far, and once again, it's a case of her not being able to look into the future and see a possible negative outcome. Certainly, celebrities tweet fans, but how many of them tweet about things that should be kept private? They don't reveal minute by minute details of their daily lives, nor do they lay everything on the table - their desperation, their fears, their wants (bucket lists), or their pleadings to keep a show on the air.

I really don't think that has anything to do with it. They got around the child labor laws before, and yes, there were rules only not as extensive as they are now. If they don't want to follow them, or pay for a studio teacher, or have someone watching down their backs, they'll simply take them out of state to film. Heaven knows Kate likes trips, and if it means getting around the new laws, TLC will oblige. All they have to do is to cross state lines.

I saw 20/20 the other night about Diane Downs. She is a convicted murderer who shot her three children, killing one and paralyzing another.
Diane Downs has been diagnosed by psychologists as having "...narcissistic, histrionic, and antisocial personality disorders.
The reason I'm bring this up is because of something Diane Downs said which totally reminded me of Kate.
After the shooting incident, which she blamed on a bushy-haired stranger, Diane was interviewed for a television show. Keep in mind, one of her daughters was dead and her other two children were in the hospital in serious condition. Downs herself had been shot in the left forearm - a minor wound which she inflicted on herself.
During the interview, Diane was describing the incident and how her kids were shot, while she was only shot in the arm. Her comment was:
"Everybody says you sure were lucky. Well, I don't feel very lucky. I couldn't tie my damn shoes for about two months! It is very painful, it is still painful I have a steel plate in my arm, I will for a year and a half. The scar is going to be there forever. I'm going to remember that night for the rest of my life whether I want to or not. I don't think I was very lucky. I think my kids were lucky. If I had been shot the way they were, we all would have died."
This totally floored me! She's smiling and laughing while she's being interviewed, and she's going on and on about HERSELF and her minor injury! Her son is paralyzed, and she's complaining about a scar on her arm!
Who does this remind you of? I'm not saying Kate would do harm to her children. But it's her attitude, everything is about "me, me, me." It was bizarre!

The reality is that all things come to an end, and if Kate did not plan for this, she should be ashamed of HERSELF! I am afraid of how she will behave with the kids when the show ends. She is already a joyless, mean mother, but the end of the show will trigger her rage. God help these kids. So typical.. this woman had no plan from day one other than to have multiples, and expected the world to fall in her lap (donations, publicity, freebies, TV show, books written by Beth) so she has no idea of how things work in the real world for normal parents. Wish I was sailing instead of typing this. 2 week vacation in a CONDO (imagine that Kate)in Ocean City, NJ coming up in August. Not Bald Head Island, but it is relaxing, fun, and affordable and would not trade it for anything. Hint Kate- The more expensive the trip, does not make the better trip. It's amazing how "Katie the Grifter" has gone from begging for free trips and free products for her 'show' to now tweeting and begging to keep her job at TLC.
Reading the desperate retweets to TLC from her few fans (btw-Jon still has over 3x's as many fans as she does and he's not on tv and tweets maybe one or two tweets a week) makes it all apparent that K8 knows the end is near. I really hope she prepared for this. I can't imagine how she wouldn't have.
And she STILL is wanting to be in TV. Lots of jobs there, so no problem. Maybe she could be a weather girl for channel 9? She is so obsessed with putting herself out in the limelight that she can't see there are normal well paying jobs out there. I totally agree about that. BTW, sorry if my wording of that came off a little rude. I in no way meant it as a slam against divorced moms, as if they are so lucky to have free weekends, if they do have an ex who has the kids at times. Believe me, I know that every other weekend is not always the case. Plus, I know that most normal divorced mothers aren't exactly kicking back and enjoying free time on the weekends that their ex-husbands have the kids as they are usually so stretched working, taking care of the kids, the house, the yard, the pets, etc. all on their own. But, we all know in Khate's case, she has TONS of free time even when the kids are there, let alone every other weekend when they're gone.
I'm just so happy for the kids that after being worked to death all week (by Khate's own admission), "filming episodes" for sheeple "entertainment" that they can be at Jon's this holiday weekend relaxing, having fun, etc. I hope he gets to keep them on Monday also. He deserves some extra time and never seems to get it with them.

Something's gotta give. No normal person carries on this way. I hope Jon (or whatever family members still remain in contact with her) is reading these tweets. Somebody has to get her some help now, not later. A mental health professional needs to be called in. I don't know if her tweets are done out of desperation and are a cry for help, but something is really wrong here. I'm saying this in dead seriousness, and not to be nasty. This is not something to fool around with.
TLC has gone to the "well" one too many times with Kate and now the well is dry. They knew EXACTLY what they are doing. She wouldn't be practicing in Illinois, she would be nursing in Pennsylvania where there is a serious nursing shortage. Employers would hire her because PA NEEDS NURSES! I doubt if employers would sit down and watch episodes to see what kind of a person she is. You know and I know that her bedside manner would be less than desirable, but if she has credentials, is licensed, she should have no problem securing a position in nursing regardless of the way she behaves on episodes, which could be passed off as directed scripting for ratings. It's television, and as such, she could be perceived as simply fulfilling a television role. Employers would look at her resume, her nursing skills and references, NOT at clips of her running around NYC in hooker heels.

I tried to follow this, but couldn't find what the tweeter asked Kate. I am assuming, she was asked if Jon will take the kids to church today. She has some nerve with her answer saying she tells him to, but he doesn't and she doesn't think it should be up to him. UGH! She only just started going back to church and she doesn't even participate with the congregation by her own admission. Many kids don't go in the summer when Sunday school breaks. Unbelievable! Then she follows up with, the comment that sleep was more necessary for her than going to church herself. Why is that Kate? All that twittering exhausted you?
You just have to wonder what's going on in the brain of a woman who says that she watched the show forever and Jon ruined the family but Kate healed it. If you've seen all of the episodes, how in the heck can you come to the conclusion that he ruined the family? How did he do that? What does she mean by "ruined" the family? Is it really possible for someone's thinking to be so screwed up? Apparently so.
More interesting would be an explanation of how she "healed" the family. If anything, it's become dysfunctional because of her narcissism, her mood swings, her rudeness and treatment of others, and her constant bashing of Jon. I suppose her going off on a drunken, foot-licking binge in New York City was one important step in "healing" the family, leaving Cara crying at the door. If that's healing, then heaven help us all.
Kate, decades from now, will never be over Jon. She'll be picking him apart, still throwing nasty barbs his way because she just can't move on. She reminds me of Betty Broderick, and we all know how that ended.

The Reading Eagle's dislike for Kate goes way back to when they ran an article about her grifting. She called the newspaper editor and threw a hissy about them taking food out of her kids' mouths. There is no love between the Reading paper and Kate Gosselin. It doesn't surprise me that she would be mentioned in the article today.
This might be out of my league and I am not familiar with legal things, is it possible that Kate would try to litigate w/TLC in the future for removing income away from 8 children, and try to imply that the removal of the show could cause them financial harm and therefor the contract must remain in place for future employment??

She can litigate all she wants. You can sue anybody you want in this country, for almost any dumb reason you can think of.
But WINNING is another matter. There's a reason TLC has contracts, and TLC is very, very good at contracts. Remember how little J&K were paid at first? TLC has lawyers, lots of them; J&K had none, and they got taken for a ride, perfectly legally.
Not only does TLC have lawyers, they've got deep pockets with which to pay the lawyers. More lawyers and deeper pockets than K8 could ever dream of. AND TLC's got K8 signatures on their tried-and-true contracts.
So, yes, K8 can sue until she runs out of money, but it's unlikely to get her one red cent. TLC didn't get to be this good at the exploitation game without knowing exactly what they were doing: Signing up vulnerable, stupid, poorly educated, unsophisticated folks so that TLC could rake in the profits from the ensuing trainwreck.
Don't worry about TLC. They've got it covered.

If this were possible, then all the recently unemployed tv actors could do the same. Like Kate, their tv show was their only job and family income.
Just because Kate's on a reality show doesn't mean she should be given special circumstances, like a network forced to financial support a former tv family.
It's a slap in the face to tv actors/real celebrities when Kate complains about how will she support her eight kids if her show is canceled. How many of them are complaining that canceling their show will financial harm their family?

Exactly when does her contract with TLC expire? In January 2012, the middle of 2012, etc.? Does anyone know? Do they have to give her prior warning or can they just wait until it's time for renewal and then drop the bomb?
It's possible that our assumption about this is entirely wrong. TLC may NOT drop the show. After all, the ratings are not THAT bad. I don't think they'll renew her contract but you never know.

I read this twitter comment as a dig against Ellen. For the record I doubt she is the reason for Jon's non-attendance at church, IF IT IS TRUE he is not attending. Finally, if Jon isn't taking the kids to church, maybe it's because he gets a precious few days with these kids and he might not want to spend the entire morning in church while they are in Sunday school. Church is an all-morning event with eight kids, and it often spills into the afternoon as people ask you out to lunch or to come over, etc. etc. I got back from church today at 4:30 because we went out to eat and the beach and the Fourth of July traffic was bad. Maybe Jon doesn't want to do that with the kids since he only has them for the weekend, and I don't blame him.

Ok, this is slightly off topic, but does anyone remember watching the little horror movie the Roloff's shot at their pumpkin farm? It was kinda cute. I've been thinking about How Low's question about Karma and what a short movie about Karma coming to Kate's would look like. What I see is a kind of faceless hag in long, flowing, PINK robes walking slowly from the TLC headquarters to the McMansion in Pennsylvania carrying a certified letter announcing the non-renewal of the series.
Cut in some scenes showing people gathering outside the grounds of the McMansion, then back to the Karma hag, then back to the crowd which is getting bigger and is made up of all the people who have been used by Katie Irene over the years--the church people, her family, Jodi and Kevin, various celebrities, and Jon. As the Karma hag opens the gate, the Gosselin 8 come running down the driveway (so fast their faces are a blur)and into Jon's arms. Fade out . . . .
I gotta quit staying up so late. I'm sure more imaginative people can add to this scenario. Administrator, how about a thread devoted just to what Karma will look like when it arrives at Katie Irene's and the fall-out for everyone involved.

Kate has taken this Twitter thing way too far, and once again, it's a case of her not being able to look into the future and see a possible negative outcome. I really don't think that has anything to do with it. They got around the child labor laws before, and yes, there were rules only not as extensive as they are now. If they don't want to follow them, or pay for a studio teacher, or have someone watching down their backs, they'll simply take them out of state to film. Heaven knows Kate likes trips, and if it means getting around the new laws, TLC will oblige. All they have to do is to cross state lines.

I saw 20/20 the other night about Diane Downs. She is a convicted murderer who shot her three children, killing one and paralyzing another.
Diane Downs has been diagnosed by psychologists as having "...narcissistic, histrionic, and antisocial personality disorders.
The reason I'm bring this up is because of something Diane Downs said which totally reminded me of Kate.
After the shooting incident, which she blamed on a bushy-haired stranger, Diane was interviewed for a television show. Keep in mind, one of her daughters was dead and her other two children were in the hospital in serious condition. Downs herself had been shot in the left forearm - a minor wound which she inflicted on herself.
During the interview, Diane was describing the incident and how her kids were shot, while she was only shot in the arm.
Her comment was:
"Everybody says you sure were lucky. Well, I don't feel very lucky. I couldn't tie my damn shoes for about two months! It is very painful, it is still painful I have a steel plate in my arm, I will for a year and a half. The scar is going to be there forever. I'm going to remember that night for the rest of my life whether I want to or not. I don't think I was very lucky. I think my kids were lucky. If I had been shot the way they were, we all would have died."
This totally floored me! She's smiling and laughing while she's being interviewed, and she's going on and on about HERSELF and her minor injury! Her son is paralyzed, and she's complaining about a scar on her arm!

The reality is that all things come to an end, and if Kate did not plan for this, she should be ashamed of HERSELF! Wish I was sailing instead of typing this. 2 week vacation in a CONDO (imagine that Kate)in Ocean City, NJ coming up in August. Not Bald Head Island, but it is relaxing, fun, and affordable and would not trade it for anything. Hint Kate- The more expensive the trip, does not make the better trip. Shame on you for not planning a getaway for your kids this summer with so many local resources available. It is not up to TLC to plan trips for you; YOU are the mother, not TLC- Hello! It's amazing how "Katie the Grifter" has gone from begging for free trips and free products for her 'show' to now tweeting and begging to keep her job at TLC.
Reading the desperate retweets to TLC from her few fans (btw-Jon still has over 3x's as many fans as she does and he's not on tv and tweets maybe one or two tweets a week) makes it all apparent that K8 knows the end is near. I really hope she prepared for this. I can't imagine how she wouldn't have.
And she STILL is wanting to be in TV. Lots of jobs there, so no problem. Maybe she could be a weather girl for channel 9? She is so obsessed with putting herself out in the limelight that she can't see there are normal well paying jobs out there. Instead of Nursing she could be a Nurse co-ordinator, or Practice Manager, or even an at home Medical Transcriptionist since she likes to stay at the pool and type away on her 90th iPhone. She doesn't have to do what Jon is doing (working 60 hr work weeks so he can support his kids in the lifestyle Kate has become accustomed to)
Anyways, the Kate train wreck is an interesting expose in the decline of the realest of reality.

I was divorced but Mr. Barstool had other plans for the weekends, hence the divorce. Kate Krawford should be grateful her kids have a loving father instead of bashing him and keeping them from him.

I totally agree about that. BTW, sorry if my wording of that came off a little rude. I in no way meant it as a slam against divorced moms, as if they are so lucky to have free weekends, if they do have an ex who has the kids at times. Believe me, I know that every other weekend is not always the case. Plus, I know that most normal divorced mothers aren't exactly kicking back and enjoying free time on the weekends that their ex-husbands have the kids as they are usually so stretched working, taking care of the kids, the house, the yard, the pets, etc. all on their own. But, we all know in Khate's case, she has TONS of free time even when the kids are there, let alone every other weekend when they're gone.
I'm just so happy for the kids that after being worked to death all week (by Khate's own admission), "filming episodes" for sheeple "entertainment" that they can be at Jon's this holiday weekend relaxing, having fun, etc. I hope he gets to keep them on Monday also. He deserves some extra time and never seems to get it with them.

Something's gotta give. No normal person carries on this way. I hope Jon (or whatever family members still remain in contact with her) is reading these tweets. Somebody has to get her some help now, not later. A mental health professional needs to be called in. I don't know if her tweets are done out of desperation and are a cry for help, but something is really wrong here. I'm saying this in dead seriousness, and not to be nasty. This is not something to fool around with.
TLC has gone to the "well" one too many times with Kate and now the well is dry. They knew EXACTLY what they are doing. They got every last dollar out of those poor kids and now she is trying to get in movies and on TV. That makes me laugh. Didn't she learn from her embarrassing stint on DWTS?? She was the laughing stock. And they dont even ask her to come back like they do EVERY single person who was on the show. She is not welcome in Hollywood for sure. And she was heard saying she wants to be in an animated movie so her "kids" would be like " oh thats our mom" yea ok. Worry about trying to keep them from being xplelled.
