Kate puts her million-dollar house on the market in the coming days

Jon and Kate bought the property in 2008 for $1.2 million amid much criticism for buying an overpriced property they likely couldn't afford long-term. Kate is trying to sell it for the same price, $1.2

Thank you everyone for the congrats, and Blue Jay, congratulations to you! My grandson is the light of my life (and that goes for the whole family), and we're all eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next one. I hope someday I have 8 (or more) grandchildren like you, what a blessing! It's something joyous to look forward to at a time when it's hard to find real joy.

Happy New Year to everyone! We're actually venturing out to a small, socially-distanced outdoor gathering tonight. Only 3 couples, lawn chairs, a bonfire, and high hopes for 2021.

So the house sale was pushed back, huh? I'm guessing there was work that had to be done before the sale could go through. I'm wondering if they discovered that big ugly spot on the wood floor she thought she'd covered up with a rug and a sofa. And--poor old Schmoopy probably had to pony up another mortgage payment. Too bad.

Happy New Year everyone. No plans here.

She seems to come out smelling like a rose on so many things that I wouldn't be surprised if she found herself a millionaire sucker boyfriend besides get her price for the house,

Happy New Year to all of you! Congratulations Bluejay and Layla! I'm so happy for both of you. May the Lord bless us all in 2021.

Naturally, your lot has completely misconstrued this tragic story for personal gain. Not that I expected ANYTHING less.

1. she was a 35 year old woman and thus had a less than 1/10 of 1 percent chance of dying from COVID. She happened to to be in that small minority. Someone will.
2. she was not even teaching iN PERSON, so nothing about "going back to school" killed her. Assuming she is still at the same school where she went viral with in 2018, since March they have been "closed until further notice."
3. from the several photos posted online of this lovely woman, she was morbidly obese, one of the biggest risk factors for COVID. Thus she should have been self isolated as someone with such a high risk factor.

It is a tragic and extremely unusual death of a young person who had COVID who happened to be a teacher.

Suicide and child abuse kills too, which is what you're doing to kids by keeping them out of school.

It remains the case that not a single teacher has died as a result of getting COVID from school.

I saw a statement from the family of the teacher who died that said she was taking every precaution and got it anyway. She was not teaching in person, she was not engaging in reckless behavior. It was a personal choice given her morbid obesity not to self-isolate, but I understand that given that it's been ten months now. She can't hide away forever. The media is, for some bizarre reason, trying to make it seem like she had her students hugging and high fiving each other during a pandemic when in fact they were doing this in 2018, a full two years before the pandemic, AND, she has not in any way shape or form taught in person or caught COVID at school or been encouraging students to touch each other now. So basically the REAL story is a woman died of COVID whose resume says she is a teacher. Why in the world they do would mess with and mislead on this story in such a despicable way is truly beyond words. It's evil, and on their behalf I deeply apologize to her poor family, and anyone using this story to prove some kind of bizarre point about teachers owes her family an apology too--they're on gofundme, you can contact them there.

My laugh for the day.....on our local community chitchat page someone posted a gif that says: “Just heard fireworks....better post on the community page ASAP”. Funny because people were complaining about fireworks on New Year’s Eve but funnier because it was superimposed over the picture of THW that is used to show the ultimate “Karen”.

Layla said...

Bwa-ha-ha, my son just showed me a YouTube channel called Karenpocalypse, and the picture is an angry-faced emoji with Kate's old hairdo. She's totally the butt of the joke, although I'm sure she's flattered that people remember her. She is now a symbol of everything people hate about entitled women.

Ingrid (6).
I'm not so sure. She's alone, unemployed, has 4 kids still at home and two part-time, an nasty attitude, and a wicked sense of entitlement. I don't really think she's much of a catch for a millionaire--or anyone else. She's been alone for over a decade, and it's not exactly a mystery why that is. As for coming out smelling like a rose, I don't see that either. She got fired from the only job she ever wanted, and so far nobody else has given her a job in TV. She's selling the house that she said she will never leave, she's apparently pulling the 4 youngest kids out of the only school they've ever known, and she's likely moving them away from their friends. No wonder there was drama at Thanksgiving dinner. She said she refuses to ever pull her kids out of their house and out of their school, so this is not a voluntary thing. She's not downsizing--she never planned to downsize, even when they were all grown and gone. She wrote on her website that she dreamed of having the kids' weddings in the backyard of the house. That means she still thought she'd have that house.

Things are not looking good for her. She said many times that she can't go back, yet she's now in a position where she has no choice. Eventually she'll have to get a "mediocre" job and live a "mediocre" life, and that is a fate worse than death for her.

BlueJay said...

I'm certain she's adjusted by now to the actuality that reality television is in all likelihood not coming back for her. It's just not, and Kate knows it. Just as I'm sure by now her children know it.

Now, what exactly she plans on doing? Time will tell. But that's up to her and her alone. Television and what people are interested in shift, people's taste change so she was fooling herself it would last as long as it did was a nothing more than a fluke.

She'll likely go through her mid-life crisis if she's not already in those throws, her kids will go through high school, go through college and life will just meander along with whatever she scraps together as her kids become adults she can no longer be in charge of who go out into the world with jobs.

Who knows, maybe she'll work front desk reception at a retirement home answering phones, become a part-time supervisor at her local YMCA, an RN who works weekends or return to the dialysis clinic to organize their files hoping for her kids to drop by at the holidays to cook the dinner while she lounges about in her plastic chair to reminisce of what use to be while he beckons them to bring her cup after cup of coffee.

There's only so much crocheting of a baby blanket one can do in the late afternoon ladies. I think my tea has one to my head.

My theory is that she could be moving close to New York to be closer to Mady & Cara and Morning TV shows.

Clack said...

Ohhh anonymous I never thought of that. Although I don’t know how she could knowing the closer you get to NY, the more expensive it gets. It’s ungodly expensive in north Jersey. Unless she got full ask, then the kids can kiss their hard earned money goodbye.
Besides, she hates cold weather right?

Mady posted some videos on TikTok. Looks like they have moved. The house has a wrap around porch and looks woodsy on the outside. . One fan commented that it was freezing in Pennsylvania and didn’t understand why Aaden was showering outside. Mady responded with an “ I know that’s what I told him” answer. Makes me think they are still in the state of Pennsylvania. Unless mady was trying to throw the fan off

Interesting. This could be just a simple downsize, a lowering of the bills. It stinks for the kids to have to make such a huge life change right now. Ideally you're not moving when your kids are deep into high school when life is at its busiest. At the same time, it's not fair to the kids the money they earned keeps getting thrown into a money pit. I hope it's a wise move in the end.

Whhattt... no posts about the great Trump? From ‘you and your lot’?

&&&

Careful. Your lot destroyed a city from top to bottom for 150 days last summer, poor and minorities once again had their businesses and lives destroyed by you, as per your usual. There are really, really bad people on both sides. Pot meet kettle.

Care to comment on the unarmed woman who was shot in the neck and killed? Her life matters.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

What I dont understand is why Trump with all the money in the world and 70MM voters behind him, did not found a Judge that could resolve on his favor.

&&&

Because the system worked and there was no there there? The problem with election fraud is it runs so deep and so widespread that to try to pin it down in any reasonable manner is impossible. I don't think anyone thinks for one second that every vote was counted correctly. However, in a country this big with 50 states doing things 50 different ways, you just have to hope they were counted "close enough." They likely were.

Contrary to popular belief you can't just "buy" a good ruling that's not there. We don't look at people's bank accounts when we make decisions. Money comes much more into play when your side has great lawyers and the other does not--which is often the case in family law. But in this case this is just appeals, where the facts are the facts. Prisoners with zero dollars to their name come in and win a big appeal they wrote on a typewriter. That's why I love this sort of law, anyone has a shot at winning if your take is the more persuasive one.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

The woman you refer to was illegally breaking into the Capitol, going through a broken out window, and was warned by law enforcement to not continue to enter the building.

$$$

I happen to agree with you they were fully justified in shooting her. You are missing the point. Your lot has decried shootings for much more than that, most of your people are usually armed and rushing cops before they’re shot and it’s all BLM to you. Where is your outrage over someone who could probably easily have been subdued without deadly force?

The hypocritical ones are you. And it’s galvanized this group make no mistake.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I said, in the rest of my post: The mob murdered a Capitol police officer.

"Blue lives matter!" was what you said, repeatedly last summer in relation to the Black Lives Matter protests.

A Blue Life was killed. By this mob.

Facts are facts.

&&&

I never said otherwise. There was also horrifying footage of a cop getting crushed in a doorway. He was screaming for his life.

I hope this is a wake up call for the left that these cops you hate so much and want to "defund" just saved hundreds of lives if not more from these nut jobs, many of whom are reasonable for leading out country. And risked their own lives doing so. You're welcome.

If the left had their way this summer, "social workers" would have handled this mob last week, and not cops capable of getting it under control within hours, and they did. Thank god nobody listened to you. All lives matter.

Once again...closing date has been moved to 19th. Only Kate would have such problems with a closing...But that's what happens to people who think that they are the exception, not the rule.

Usually that signifies a major, catastrophic problem. You found out the entire foundation is sinking, the survey of the property shows two less feet than you thought, or the seller was misleading about the square footage or the luxuriousness of the appliances. I'd love to know what the holdup is.

Clack said...

Wow! That’s amazing! It could be the seller, their house didn’t close when expected, deal fell through, etc. but I’m on the side of this is all Kate. Too cheap and lazy to fix something that failed an inspection.
I guess she’s renting for now? Otherwise she might own 2 homes without wanting to.

BlueJay said...

This would appear rather uncomfortable for her financially I suspect if she can't make a sale on this house. Not that I didn't see this coming.

Let's at least analyze the truth here. Did one really expect this large of a house to be kept spotless by a bunch of kids without some form of rundown damage perhaps? We all known Kate wasn't the one cleaning the inside, please. We all know Kate wasn't the one out there shoveling snow, mowing the lawn, mucking that barn, washing the outside the house. She most likely wasn't the one checking the foundation too often, having the floors buffed or polished. Checking the electrical wiring, the heating ducts, updating necessary goods on that pool or appliances of that house.

So...in the grand scheme of thins, does one really expect this house to sell at her asking price so soon without having major renovation issues or at least the people looking at it not calling into question concerns of some sort? You buy a house, even in 2008, you do updates. Do bedroom updates by professionals brought in my TLC, a new dishwasher, a pool slide and the occasional on-screen shenanigans of a woman barking orders really meet those supposed standards of true home buyers who might be looking for specific needs such a horse or other grazing property? Not such for a large family in the middle of Berks Co. Pennsylvania? Even if the page yucks up about all the amenities on offer in the middle of winter?

Ingrid said...

I wonder how long the buyer will allow the closing date to change until they just give up. They would have to love that place alot to keep waiting. I would love to hear details about the problems too.

Ingrid said...

Comment I read on Twitter Bwahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa
"kate gosselin was the blueprint for karens"

clack said...

oh thats too funny! she totally earned that reputation!

if the buyer is getting the run around from kate, she's not doing repairs, or whatever she has to do, they can walk or renegotiate. that would be something! If its because her buyers havent sold their house, or their closing fell through, then kate needs to remarket her house. so it must be on her, she isnt getting done what needs to be done. maybe she is waiting for TLC to come fix it? because she doesnt realize, in real life, adults fix things. not tv shows.
I bet her realtor cant wait till this is OVER! LOL

Layla said...

Sounds to me like there's still work to be done on that house before closing can happen. Did she really think she could cover up damage with rugs or furniture and nobody would notice until after closing? Actually...yeah, I bet she did. She doesn't realize that other people aren't as superficial as she is.

I think she might be renting her latest house. Either she'd have to come up with cash for a new house or she'd have to talk some bank into giving her a mortgage even though she doesn't have an income. That's not likely to happen.

I wonder if she's still holding out hope for reality TV. I checked some ratings and TLC has shows that have been on for years and years (Big Fat Fabulous Life, 600-Pound Life, 7 Little Johnstons) still getting a million viewers, and some getting way above that number (hello, Dr. Pimple Popper). They don't need Kate. I'm sure she's furious right now that she can't film all the selling/moving stuff. TLC could pay for all the repairs, pay for her move, pay for renovations on her new place, buy her some new furniture, and she'd get a paycheck too. That little stunt of filming the kids without work permits really came back to bite her in the a$$, didn't it?
