Kate puts her million-dollar house on the market in the coming days

Jon and Kate bought the property in 2008 for $1.2 million amid much criticism for buying an overpriced property they likely couldn't afford long-term. Kate is trying to sell it for the same price, $1.2

Will there be popcorn, clown hats and paparazzi?

BlueJay said...

I'll come, and I'll bring cheese popcorn on purpose. Along with non organic snacks.

But, this is probably going to be rough on the kids. However, sweet upon Kate, she brought this upon her stubborn ole self.

handinhand said...

Sage would make a nice housewarming gift for the new owners. Lots of it.

Lynn W. said...

Not surprising. It'll be interesting to see what the house actually sells for as well as how long it stays on the market. It'll also be interesting to see what she buys and if it's closer to the children's school.

Layla said...

Admin--fun! Can we all meet up for lunch before or after? If there is an open house, you know she'll require everyone who enters to wear little booties over their shoes, plus face masks and gloves. Possibly full hazmat suits. No photos allowed, you can't touch anything, some areas will be off-limits, and she'll have everyone sign NDAs.

You're right (last thread) about the money someone is going to have to put into that place to modernize it. I suppose the place is worth $815,000 if it's been kept up well, but it hasn't. If you have to put a couple hundred thousand into fixing it up, then you won't want to pay more than maybe $650,000. But--maybe she'll get lucky and find a sucker with no taste who's willing to take it off her hands.

Ann said...

I’m not that far from her... it would be interesting but creepy... as long as she wasn’t there...although I doubt they will have an open house

Ann said...

Is that a recent picture because it looks nicely maintained

kris said...

Honestly not surprising. Here are my questions, lol

***I wonder how much she still owes on it? Of course she's going to lose on it bc she'll never sell it for what she paid for it. But if she's paid half of it off, she'll still walk away with some money. I know she refinanced at one point but I don't remember the details.
***I wonder what this means for the kids school? Will she have to pull them out or would the school scholarship them for their time there? 2 1/2 yrs?
***One article I read said she wanted to move out of state - would she be allowed to? Wouldn't Jon have to allow it?
***I know she mentioned she had always kept up her nursing license but didn't she say recently that she finally let it lapse? If so, how hard would it be for her to reinstate it?

As always, my heart breaks for the kids, having to leave their home. However, if she moved into the 'burbs they may like having neighbors and friends close by they can hang with.

Welcome back to the real world Katie!

kris said...

Oh and she'll wish she had done some remodeling and updating in that house. I thought it was outdated when she bought it and now 10+ yrs later, it's waaaaay outdated. Even with her kitchen remodel, it shows very early 2000's.

BlueJay said...

Since we have bought our house in the 70's and paid our mortgage off a long time ago, never moved out, someone mind explaining to this old gal a couple of PA house laws?

One, does Kate stil get to reside in it thus far until it's listed public or has she already moved out you think?

And two, just out f curiously, since she's unemployed with essentially no home, couldn't a judge think it best interest of the kids remaining they live with their father?

Maybe TFW will have everyone wanting a tour vetted by a fan, like she did for the cruise.

According to the search link on the PA State Board of Nursing, she's still active. Her license expires on Halloween 2021, LOL. But who would hire her? If she had truly been serious about working and realistic regarding her 'stardom' all these years, she could have worked part-time while the kids were in school to offset her expenses and she might have been able to keep the house longer. Lazy heifer. I feel sorry for the 4 kids still living with her. Mady, Cara, Collin and Hannah are the lucky ones.

Ann (8)
No, that's not a recent photo. There's no deck, so the picture is several years old.

kris (9)
I checked an amortization table, and it looks like she probably owes about $545k on it. Unless, of course, she's paid extra besides her mortgage, but I can't imagine her doing that. I doubt that the kids' school will give them completely free schooling for several years (I doubt she paid for fall semester if she's running out of money), for 4 kids. They would probably give the kids partial scholarships, but she'd have to cough up something.

BlueJay (11)
Kate can stay in the house right up until the closing, I believe. She's not homeless yet. If she sells for $815k, and owes $545k, she can cover her closing costs and walk away with about $200k. Of course, at least some of that money is supposed to belong to the kids. but let's not kid ourselves--those kids won't see a penny. Now we just wait and see how long it takes to sell, and for what price.

I hope we get to hear the details about Kate going to court for stiffing Andrea! It's supposed to be within the next couple weeks.

Yes, at open house, we can wear muumuus and crocs. I'll be looking to see how many wine bottles there are. We need to look for papers to see how she's handling money. Skeeve will be the security guard at the event. Somebody should buy it and make it a museum to show the horrors of children on reality TV.

Sue said...

Anonymous @15 What’s the address on the house so we can take a look at it?

BlueJay said...

So, we're talking she's going to have a major downsizing here when she does move to wherever.

3-4 bedroom house maybe? A small yard? She'll have to up and ditch that extra car. I bet she's going to miss that as far as the eye can see all mine.

Well, she's still got parents, the old saying you can always go home again. And people do move back in with their parents.

NJGal51 said...

Layla - If she walks away with around $200K she’ll need to use that for her down payment on a new house that will, of course, belong to the kids. I hope that when it goes on the market that there’s a virtual tour.

Count me in on the blog open house tour. I’ll bring the rumspringa!

Sounds like Kate hasn’t even been trying to make a normal living.

FlimsyFlamsy said...

Will Schmoopy remove the TV-friendly lighting, or use it as a selling point? "Step right up folks and see the home of the world-famous Gosselin sextuplets! Um, well, 4 of them anyway!"

TFW has never had to move without TLC doing the literal and metaphorical heavy lifting. If she was charm-free before, you can only imgine what a delight she is to live with now.

Clack said...

Im guessing there will not be any open houses. If they do one, she will probably make you leave phones outside, sign a sort of NDA, and possibly charge to view. Or make you come with a realtor with a prequalifying letter. I bet she’d be there to sign autographs (at a cost of course). I would love to go and pretend I have zero idea who she is! Ha!

FlimsyFlamsy said...

Clack (#28), yep, a $20 "love offering" for her autograph. Bet she misses those days of overflowing church baskets of cash.

Wow. Wonder if it's a preforeclosure short sale? And I wonder if it's somehow connected to her having to provide accounting of kids trust funds? Maybe she was paying mortgage from them and she shouldn't have been?

Sad but true said...

JM said... 31

LOL, well, it is THEIR house after all! Why shouldn't they have been paying the mortgage? :)

Ann said...

Doesn’t she have a contempt of court she’s been dodging for quite a while?

Layla said...

I think it goes without saying that the kids are paying the mortgage. It also goes without saying that she'll try to keep all the proceeds from the sale for herself. I'm pretty sure Jon will step in and make sure H&C will get their share, since it's in both Kate's name and the name of the kids' trust--so some of the money will belong to them. The other kids are probably screwed, though. It's possible that the only tups who end up with enough money to go to college are H&C. Kate will drain the other kids' accounts, leaving them with nothing.

JM (31)
The house is not in preforeclosure. Kate is allowed to use the kids' money to pay their living expenses, and that's probably what she's doing.

Dmasy, I'll give you a ride! Road trip! Just stand on the shoulder of the DC beltway with a "Wernersville or Bust" sign so I know it's you.

Layla said...

So,if Kate's planning to move out of state, where will she go? The twins are in NY, she has said that NYC is her second home...but I don't know that she could afford to live there. Especially with 4 kids and 3 large dogs. Maybe she thinks she can get a spot on the Real Housewives of NYC. She'd love to have her regular meltdowns for the camera. But I don't think anyone wants to watch her on that show, and she still wouldn't make enough money. Those women have money and glamorous lifestyles without the show. She could never keep up.

She could come to Maryland (probably Montgomery County area). It was reported that she looked at a condo in Bethesda shortly after she and Jon split. It was supposed to be a place where she was going to stay during Jon's time with the kids--but she banned him from the property instead. Steve still lives here, and there is a Real Housewives show that is filmed here (which does not accurately depict housewives/women from this area at all!!!). Great schools, great shopping and restaurants, DC nightlife, and a Starbucks and a Whole Foods on practically every street corner. But...once again, very expensive. Plus it's very close to TLC HQ. Maybe she thinks she can harass them in person until they film her again, but I get the feeling they're done with her. And traffic sucks.

My last guess would be North Carolina. They seem fond of the place, they've vacationed there many times, and in Robert's book he wrote that they actually put a deposit on a piece of property where they were going to have a house built--before buying the Ghettoville house. It's more affordable than NY or MD, and property taxes aren't bad either. It's warmer than PA and there's the ocean right there--and Figure 8 Films is located there. Maybe she thinks she can get hired as a producer.

I'm thinking NC is the most likely place for her to go. What do you all think?

Kates real estate taxes went up from $5000 to $16,000.00 a year. So she's had a deficit of $44,000.00 in the past 4 years. And with the lawsuit coming up, I suspect she will declare bankruptcy.

Anonymous said...

Just my opinion -- I think Kate has already moved out. She's too clever (not in good way) to wait for sign to go up and it hit papers about her financially challenges especially, if she has to rent for awhile.
God only knows, who would rent to her, knowing her
sue anyone/anywhere type of attitude. But even if she could come up w/down payment, she would still have to get mortgage and she wouldn't want all this to be known to bank I read somewhere Maddy was selling clothes on web site this past summer. I bet Kate was selling stuff on web site under different name. I saw a selfie of tup girl ? with boxes packed behind her. It looked like it was taken in basement. I wondered if Kate was packing up to move. Covid may of have given her some cover. She could have been home schooling the younger four and no one knew;especially Jon. The crap with People was her final hit to Jon on the way out the door and offer distraction for the public. She had to know before talking to People, no charges or ongoing investigation had been filed.
I also wonder,if all the legal problems she's facing will have to be refiled in new state? Doesn't she have friends in Utah? And what is Jon's recourse? The court gave the kids the right to choose where to live. If she moved out of state without informing him first, I doubt if he can charge her with parental kidnapping due to court decision to leave it up to children. She kept Collin hidden for all those years, so no doubt, not telling Jon would not be beyond her. Just my thoughts...

Dmasy (#30), don't forget the pearls and Crocs. Wouldn't want to feel underdressed for such a special occasion!

Layla (#34), I think you ought to bring the salad, as you had the honor of attending TFW's live salad-making demonstration all those years ago. Heck, let Sully make it -- surely he could do as good a job as TFW if not better!

Sad but true said...

I bet she's seriously regretting letting ol' Jeff Whats-his-name off the hook so quickly. That was her one and only brush (as far as we know) with a rich suitor.

I still believe she's got some serious cash stowed away for her "retirement." She'll let all of the kids' funds go before she cracks that nut. And good luck finding it, Jon, if you're hoping to claw anything back from her for the kids' accounts.

NJGal51 said...

Layla - I’m thinking NC or FL. In either of those places she’d be able to get more bang for her buck and have a more luxurious lifestyle than she’d be able to afford in either NY or the DC area. I doubt that she’ll be able to afford beachfront property unless she goes with a condo rather than a house. One of my brothers lives in NC about 15/20 minutes from a beach and loves it.

Lynn W. said...

I have no clue about what she might do after selling the house but I think she will stay in the area until the children are through high school. Then her life is "mine, all mine" until ... horrors ... she has to live with one of the kids.

Kelsey O. said...

Maybe Kate was threatened by Jon mentioning in one of his ET interviews about when H and C get their driver's license they will be able to pick up their siblings at their school. The 4 would see how much freedom their brother and sister have and also be able to see their dad and Kate wouldn't have any control over that. Kate moving out of PA would give her more control over the sextuplets reuniting. Must be stressful for the kids and also M and C being away at college and not knowing where their new home will be during school breaks.

She should've used all those acres to make money. There are so many things she could have done with that much land. What a waste of money on property taxes and landscaping.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if Steve would ever leave his wife and if they’d move in together and make it official. She’s helpless by herself. He was seen helping one of the twins move into college. Wherever Kate moves , my guess is Steve will be with her or a short drive away

Kelsey O. (#42), interesting theory about TFW feeling threatened by the tups' independence. This is a woman who literally steered her children by the head for a large portion of their childhoods. She will not give up control without a fight.

ncgirl said...

"He was seen helping one of the twins move into college"

I didn't know that. So they're still close. He'll probably be Kate's mover too. I've been iffy on their relationship. I think she has a crush on him, but he's more her bodyguard/handler/helper.

I hope she doesn't move close to me in NC. If I saw her in person, I might never recover. lol

Giffy said...

I hope she lets those kids finish school there. That school and those other kids ARE ALL THEY KNOW. They have never been in a setting where they actually had to make new friends or adjust to anything other than the divorce. That school has been their constant. I'm afraid they may not have the coping skills to handle something so drastic. I wouldn't put it past her to take this opportunity to finally be child free. She will claim she doesn't have money to support them and dumps them on Jon's doorstep.

Layla said...

ncgirl (45)
I'm in the same boat as you--I don't want to see her in my neighborhood, either! But--Steve lives very near, and she needs a man to lead her/guide her. He seems to be the only one left to do that. She looked at real estate nearby before. She can find that glamorous lifestyle she seems to crave here--shopping at high-end stores on Wisconsin Ave, fine restaurants, theater and nightlife, locals with big names and big money. Heck, Ted Gibson even has a salon in DC, and the guy who used to comp her hair--Jason something--works out of that salon, at least part of the time. She would love it here--if she can still afford it. That's the big question--what can she afford?

Sad but true said...

Giffy said... 46

I don't think that's going to happen. If she's having to sell the house (again, it's my view that SHE has plenty of money, it's her kids who're running out), then the private school, for another 2.5 YEARS, makes no sense at all. There are very good public schools---at NO cost to her---right at her doorstep; two of her kids are already enrolled and reportedly doing well. She is not of a sentimental bent, and I do not doubt the school would be easy for her to jettison (if in fact they're still enrolled there).

Layla said... 47

I don't think she can cry poverty and at the same time go trotting off to Ted Gibson's DC salon for a $500 bleach job. In fact, I don't think the question of where she'll go will be settled unless/until (1) the house is actually sold, and (2) the money issues w/r/t H&C's trusts (not to mention the accounting for ALL of the kids) is satisfactorily addressed. Despite the court's ruling that the kids can choose which parent to live with, I think the line will be drawn at her moving them out of state while they're still minors. Leaving Jon out of the equation, they still have 2 siblings living a few miles away, and such a move would irrevocably break the sibling bonds. What would be her argument for moving out of state? A JOB? I think she's gonna have to run this by the courts before she does anything.

BlueJay said...

It says she bought the house officially October 23, 2008. So, she's now having to sell it 12 years later publicly on Wednesday October 21, 2020.

This very well could be her last set of holidays in this house. She did say to stretch Christmas was a worry every year. I read in one of her early books how Jon stood in line at either a food bank or something similar to get food because they weren't making enough money.

You know, I know she knows it didn't have to be this way.

Her 4 kids are old enough to have after school jobs. Her two oldest daughters in college can work their way through college, Kate can get one or two jobs herself, downsize her house. Have a yard sale perhaps. Public school and online today isn't so terrible. She can get a work from home job.

All our kids at 16 had jobs. It'll do her kids some emotional and mature good. Kate included. A 3 bedroom apartment, 3 bedroom house. There are more important things in life than television filming. She should go back and read her own first book about what it means to be grateful for what you have.

There's an elderly lady I decorate cakes and cookies with we get together once a month after volunteering at the food bank so the school kids still get lunch. I recently found out she comes to the get together not just because it gets her out of the house but because as a widow she can't afford the luxuries of baked goods. Sometimes the simplest things people take for granted in this world, a frosted sugar cookie.

Kate has squandered so much it's truly embarrassing and painful. She deserves what's coming but her children do not.

Problem is she doesn't have any intention of getting a real job, and she never did. All those times she said she'd go back to nursing, she'd work at McDonald's, she'd work her fingers to the bone--she was lying. She thought it would never come to that, so she said those things to make herself look good. But when you look at all the years she's been without an income lately--2011-2014, then from the 13th birthday party in 2017 to the dating show in 2019, and now from the lost episode to now...that's 6 of the last 9 years unemployed. She was unemployed twice as long as she was working. And she never did any of those things she said she would do to support her kids. According to recent stories, she still has no intention of working because she still sees herself as a star. She'll blow every last cent to try to get back on TV, but she will not get a real job. She'll ruin them all before she'll do an honest day's work. That's how special she thinks she is.

There is only one job I can imagine that she would do that doesn't involve her being in front of a camera. I can see her trying to become a producer. Maybe she thinks she can move close to TLC/Discovery HQ or to Figure 8 Films and get a job at one of them as a producer on a reality show. I can't imagine they'd go for it. They both know how lazy and difficult she is, they both know she melts down and has tantrums under pressure, and she has proved herself to be completely unreliable by having the kids filmed without work permits.

Other than that, what can/will she do?

LisaNH said...

Hello Admin and Everyone. I know it's been a while since I posted here, but I still check the blog whenever I see TFW in the news. This who house selling is so not surprising. This was predicted by many posters here years ago when the divorce was announced. I have to say, Kate was stubborn enough to keep the house all these years and people on this blog predicted that she would sell that house and now it's happening. Everyone here knew she would need to sell it eventually. Plus, keep in mind, the Twins are off at college, Collin and Hannah live with Jon now so she has only 4 children at home now, so why does she need a house that big? I do feel bad for the remaining children living with her. That house is the one they remember the most. Personally, I never understood why they moved into that monstrosity of a house to begin with.

But I also wonder about the house itself. Didn't TLC initially purchase for the Gosselins for filming purposes? If that's the case, how did Kate get her hands on it? Did they sell it to her?

FlimsyFlamsy said...

Layla (#51), TFW has zero qualifications to produce.
It'd be like saying she's lived in a house for years so now she knows how to build one. I've always suspected her producer title was negotiated as part of her deal to do another season.

Producers have to know every aspect of a project both behind the camera and in front of it. Producers work their butts off. That's not how she rolls.

Layla said...

FlimsyFlamsy (53)
I agree completely, plus--both TLC and Figure 8 know what a nightmare she is to work with. Who would want to deal with that? I just don't understand what could be going through her mind. If a parent is having money troubles, that parent works. It's the parent's job to provide for their kids. "She just doesn't see herself as a nurse"? Well, tough cookies! If you need money and you're trained as a nurse, then you apply for nursing jobs. If it's been many years, then you take refresher classes. "She sees herself as a star"--well, that doesn't pay the bills if she's not working as a "star". It just baffles me beyond belief that she really thinks she's too special to do anything. If I was broke, and even though I have lupus, which makes it hard for me to work--I would find a job. Anything I could do to provide for my kids. That's what a mother does. Is she so lacking in motherly instinct that she won't provide for the kids because she thinks she's too special? I just can't fathom that kind of mindset.

FlimsyFlamsy said...

LisaNH (#52), so nice to see you!

I think we all feel a degree of concern about the remaining kids, and worry that this move will be a hard one for them. But there's another point of view to consider. This house was where their parents' marriage officially -- and publicly -- collapsed. It's where their brother was abused and/or neglected and then, poof, he was gone. Then their sister left -- their mother's professed favorite. So the boy tups and the girl tups each lost a roommate and a wombmate. So who knows...maybe a new environment will feel like a welcome change.

kris said...

Those kids are worked all their lives, IMO they shouldn't need to get an afternoon job. She needs to get off her precious a$$ and go back to work. With COVID there is no shortage of nursing positions.

Lynn W. said...

If I recall correctly, Kate refinanced the house after the divorce was final. Didn't she proclaim one of her "Mine, all mine" claims? It might be possible to look at the house through the County Assessor's office. The address alone might be enough to see what's going on.

This house was where their parents' marriage officially -- and publicly -- collapsed. It's where their brother was abused and/or neglected and then, poof, he was gone. Then their sister left -- their mother's professed favorite. So the boy tups and the girl tups each lost a roommate and a wombmate. So who knows...maybe a new environment will feel like a welcome change."

Hi Flimsy!!! Good to see you still posting here. Your posts were always insightful and memorable.

I agree with you regarding the house. You're right, there may not be too many good memories there for the kids. Looking back, there can't be too many good memories at the old house either. The only good memory would be the fact that their father was there and many care takers who they got attached to, until Mommy made them go away.

And as others have commented, those children essentially paid for that house. I would hope (but don't expect) that Kate would take any monies gained to go into the kids' trusts. But since she's selling it for less than she paid, that's not likely to happen. Those poor kids will probably never see the money they made to keep their mother in the lifestyle to which she became accustomed to.

BlueJay said...

I'd bet she'd sooner make those kids have jobs than herself.

But, don't houses typically not sell well in winter right before the holiday? I don't know many folks in the market looking to move to the middle of nowhere PA to a large house, on a large hunk of land in early winter. Most people move in the spring or summer. I could be wrong.

Yes I was told by my realtor this is a terrible time of year to enlist because your close date would be right a round xmas in new year's--nobody wants to move then. BUT, it's a buyers season, because if someone is desperate, you could get a deal if you're willing to skip xmas dinner this year to close.

Just my opinion -- I think Kate has already moved out. She's too clever (not in good way) to wait for sign to go up and it hit papers about her financially challenges especially, if she has to rent for awhile.

I think you have a really, really good hunch. She could even be renting it while she works on getting it sold.

No! Not that hideous furniture! Just the thought of it makes me cringe. Unless, of course, you want to have a big bonfire in the yard and burn every tacky, tasteless bit of it. Make the world a more beautiful place by getting rid of ugliness, perhaps?

BlueJay (64)
I hate to say it, but you're probably right. Everyone seems to agree that those adorable little kids grew into some entitled and at times ill-mannered people. And that was just what was seen years ago, when they were still filming. Not their fault, of course--look who is raising them. It almost seems like they don't have any choice in the matter. Their only adult role model is lazy, greedy, crass, and completely lacking in manners and basic human decency. I hold out hope for H&C. At least they stand a chance.

Do you really think she has moved out? If so, then she has rent and utilities for a new place, as well as all the bills for the old house. Not a smart move if you're running short of money. But then again she really doesn't make good financial decisions, no matter how much she tries to convince people otherwise.

$1.3M? Well, she must not be in a hurry to sell because that house is not going to move at that price. I'm guessing she was advised to list it for $815k by the real estate agents, who know correct pricing for the area, but her inherent greediness prevailed and she decided to try for a windfall. Not gonna happen. It will sit on the market for months/years, she will have to drop the asking price over and over again, and it will finally sell for something in the neighborhood of what she should have priced it at in the first place. Which is fine if she has the money to cover the long-term expenses, If not, then she may find herself either draining the tups' trust funds or dealing with foreclosure. Or both. She's not too bright, is she?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

OMG it's soooo dated! She hasn't done a thing to it in 12 years. Even all the old cruddy furniture is in there and she didn't even bother to move her desk from the living room.

Like, spend the 2 grand and have it staged. Please. For the love of god.

The master. I'm dying. It looks like a furniture showroom. There's like furniture after furniture stacked up in there, what the hell?!

There is nothing usable in that house that won't have to be completely redone with the exception of maybe the finished basement, the deck, and the pool which all seem fine.

You just can't take the white trash out of the white trash.

The kitchen looks smaller than I thought although the wide angle could be shrinking it.

The barstool peninsula I think makes it cluttered. That's got to go, then move the island back and the whole kitchen is big again. You already have a nice big dining room table right there, there is no point to a peninsula to eat too. What a poor design.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

It's weird there's not a single photo of any of the bedrooms besides the master. Um, any serious buyer getting a house of this size is either going to have kids or guests--you must see those. Wth?

She's never gonna get that.

And the problem with listing it at such a ridiculous number is it will turn off buyers, and it'll sit on the market, getting stale.

It's basically the same price as what she paid....so basically you sat in a house for 12 years and didn't make a dime. A nightmare real estate decision. Heck, maybe she should have bought in LA. If she paid 1.2 million in LA 12 years ago, it would easily be 2 mil or much more by now.

&&&

It's much easier to sell a modern home than traditional, so that's a strike against it, and it would cost tens of thousands to convert it to modern. Traditional is fine, I actually like it myself, but you get less for your money on resale. And, it goes dated fast. It's traditional 2002. That does not work in 2020 and requires a complete re-do.

Clack said...

Everything is so outdated! So 90’s. The kitchen is ugly, there is so much she could have done there, with such a large space. It seems she did it on a very tight budget. The appliances are nice though.
And the throw rugs, good lord! It looks like she got them from family dollar to cover up the ratty looking floors. Does she think people in that price range won’t look under them?
A home that size, I would expect a grand staircase too.
I could go on and on! I live maybe 45 min from her. If there’s an open house I’m in!

I’m wondering if she thinks she’s moving to LA, to continue her “career”, that’s why she’s asking so much? I bet her realtor is regretting this listing already.

CC said...

Whoa. She has way too much furniture in each room. I noticed she cleared all the clutter though. That woman had crap all over her counters and in piles all over. It must have taken her months just to clean up. And what's with all the small rugs scattered all over the place? She should have sold or donated most of her ugly furniture before taking photos. She won't be able to fit all that in her new home anyway, if she's downsizing. That woman has terrible taste in home decor.

Her wall paint is atrocious and outdated (the sponge painted walls). A fresh coat of paint would have done a lot to help, but I imagine whoever buys it will be painting anyway.
The kitchen floorplan isn't bad. I don't mind the peninsula and island if there's enough room around the island. I don't like her backsplash and two-toned cabinets/molding. I don't like the staggered cabinet look either. It all looks very dated for being such a recent kitchen renovation.

The property itself is beautiful. I think Kate was embarrassed that the media reported she was selling it at a loss and decided she wanted to raise the sale price. She can just accept a lower offer, but we will know what it sold for anyway.

I couldn't disagree more about the younger kids getting jobs to help pay for a new house, etc. That's not their job. It's hers. They already worked more than enough in their childhoods.

Layla said...

If you look at the sitting room area off the kitchen, you can see that the non-matching wood floor isn't there anymore. I remember her saying that one of the dogs had splashed water on the floor and caused damage, so I figured that's where she placed the mismatched flooring. Now there's a sofa placed there, with the floor rug pulled right up to and tucked under the sofa. So it appears she's covering up the damage rather than repairing the floor. The ugly curtains and ugly paint remain. I wouldn't call it traditional. It's just plain dated.

If she's listing it at 1.3 mil, then she can't be hurting for money. 1.3 mil means it will sit on the market for a long time, and she'll have to reduce the price over and over. But she has the money to cover all the expenses for an extended period of time or she wouldn't be asking for such an unrealistic amount. She's just being her normal, greedy, "gimme gimme" self, thinking she deserves a windfall. Good luck with that, Kate. We'll be here laughing at you every month that money pit sits on the market and drains your finances, every time you have to reduce the price because nobody will touch it for your asking price.

There was obviously a concerted effort to clear the clutter probably after they made her....but not all of it. I'm looking through the photos again for some gems, and look at pic 13, above what I guess what you would call the bar sink (that infamous place where they grossly brushed their teeth) there's a bunch of shit above it on shelves, looks like candy jars, etc.

I still can't get over the master photos. Every foot of the wall is covered with some huge dated honking piece of furniture. I'd never get a good night's sleep in that place.

In one of the photos there is a whiteboard calendar, suggesting they're still living there.

90 percent of this is hilarious...10 percent of it tempered by how I'm sure it is gonna suck for these kids to have to move. Sorry kids.

What I think is the twins' bathroom is randomly modern. It's actually really nice, but it looks totally out of place in the traditional house.

In the gym area, there is a HUGE pile of broken down cardboard boxes. Lol.

She cleaned up MOST of the house.

There is no pic of the garage, no pic of the master closet, no pic of the bedrooms.

The actual landscaping is nice, the property itself is nice.

It's a hot mess with a few hidden gems that will probably get it sold.

You can totally tell that the person who lives there doesn't read, despite all the furniture with shelves. And you're right, who needs ALL those overbearing pieces all just lined up like soldiers against the wall? I've spotted at least three other desks in the house that look never used (and are undoubtedly stuffed with crap). And all of that "living" space on the first floor doesn't really looked lived in at all (with the exception of the kitchen). Which, come to think of it, is fairly odd in a house which once held 8 kids and one parent. No artwork to speak of anywhere. And besides the bedrooms, why no photos of the dining room? Or apartment above garage? OR garage, even?

Quite odd, the whole presentation.

Sorry, Kate. Your property is lovely and the setting is stunning. But, the house is an homage to dated architecture and style.

What I know currently is Texas trends. Her house is over-priced evencompared to the inflated pricing in this state.

We went to an open house just yesterday. The house is 5 years younger than Kate's home. The land is considerably less. The owners spent over 50,000 to upgrade and stage for the sale. All the oak wood had been painted crisp white. The master bath was so new that the shower has never been used. Just a sample. ( 8912 Stone Oak, Montgomery Texas.)

The houses aren't comparable, but it does show what someone has to do to make an older home competitive in this hot market.

Coldwell Banker will be thrilled at the number of hits the listing is getting. Too bad most of them are from us!

The island and counters look a lot cheaper than I remember or could tell from the show. Not “granite” by any means, thin and custom grade my ass. This is big box store garbage.

I do think the oven hood is nice, and that the wooden beams in the home I don’t recall seeing before are also nice and stood the rest of time. But the furniture and trim and window treatments and carpets....hideous. Just hideous.

I can see spending 50k to upgrade in Kate’s mind might feel like too much. But she would get it back and thensome in the finally sale.

It is worth the expense to upgrade to how it should be. I’m sure she was advised of this and chose to ignore it.

Well, Kate "designed" it, but TLC paid for it. This whole renovation was a part of the show, with Kate having to take a vacation in the midst of it because of the "stress." I wonder if the DR isn't shown due to the heavy-duty stage lights in there. Although as far as I can recall, that room was only shown once, in the very last going-off-to-college episode. Whatever excess lighting was in the kitchen or family room looks to have been removed.

I can't believe she didn't do a better job with the MBR, that room has been unwelcoming from the start, and it never changed. Not surprised no pix of the MBR walk-in, it was always a disaster on the show and I doubt it's changed.

When we sold my Amir’s house after she died our realtor told us exactly how to stage it to sell. We had only a couple of pieces of strategically placed pieces of furniture and knickknacks, some towels and candles in the bathrooms and a tea kettle with cups in the kitchen. She said that people want to be able to imagine their furniture in it and that’s impossible to do if you leave yours in place. Maybe they’re still living there and just cleaned up for the pictures. I saw that there were a lot of baking sheets and that type of thing in the oven. I did not see any traces of the dogs though and all the dog gates have been removed. If everything was left in place to hide the flaws, does she think that the buyer won’t look under the rugs or behind the furniture? During my MIL’s home inspection they found a hinge on a cabinet above the refrigerator that needed replacing. They find everything!

I’m loving this but have so many questions. First off, the property is beautiful. But unless you are retired or have a handy spouse with deep pockets, this is a lot of house and property to maintain. And $20k a year for taxes? How close is the nearest store? Gas station? Costco? Trader Joe’s? What is that.small building to the right of the garage? “Twisty waterslide” sounds straight out of Kate’s mouth. The house is very choppy and is devoid of any personality. She took down all the pictures of the kids in the living room (which was smart) but that seems to be the only personal touch in the whole place (besides the clutter). It looks more like a horse property when you see the whole thing. There should be animals in the pasture a very idyllic scene. But where is the bird and the dog stuff? And the giant Croc shoe?

It is decidedly niche. Only a tiny, tiny subset of people would even begin to considerate it. And that’s the problem with buying something like this. If you think there is ANY chance at all you might sell later on, you have to be prepared for how narrow your market is.

I think all in all it was a really really stupid purchase.

How can they list it as a single family home, when there is an apartment over the garage? I wonder if that's where Kate is living while the house is being sold.

SaraMRN2010 said...

It does not surprise me that she "thinks" she can get that for the house and property. Remember when they listed the Elizabethtown house for over $300K. Kate said something to the effect "it will sell for that because it is tied to a celebrity". I can't remember her exact quote but she thinks because she has graced these homes, the price should be well above the appraisal. They ended up dropping the price on the Elizabethtown home several times until it sold. Same thing is going to happen with this monstrosity. Get ur popcorn ready and sit back and wait........
As far as the kitchen goes, I thought it was around a $75k kitchen at the time. I know that TLC footed the bill but it certainly looks better without all that clutter on the counters.
Also, I did I miss the infamous globe in the living room pictures? And I guess poor Zorro had no idea how to help her since he hasn't been seen in a while.

Mmm, no, Kate, those ratty old couches and checked trim are objectively hideous. You fucked up. You didn't have a professional do your house for you on the front end, and now you're going to pay for it in droves on the back end. You'll be lucky to get half what you want for this dump.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

It's not really odd. When I sold my house a couple of years ago, my realtor asked me to remove all art, photos, etc. to completely depersonalize the space. It sold immediately for above list, so he knew what he was talking about.

&&&

This is correct that they believe houses sell better when you remove all personal objects. There is something psychological uncomfortable about trying to imagine someone else's lived in space as your space. Occasionally I Air B and B my property and they also instruct us never to leave any family photos out or artwork that looks too specific to a treasured memory, etc.

But we saw this on the show too, very little of anything personal in the house, which was odd. And if Kate complied with removing all personal objects, why didn't she remove the large chore chart, which was in plain sight and extremely personal?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Sorry to disappoint you since you are desperate for her attention, but I'm not Kate. Maybe you run over to Instagram and share your vast expertise on real estate and interior design with her there.

And there's no such thing as objectively hideous, but of course your arrogance leads you to believe otherwise. I don't like the interior of the house, but I am capable of recognizing that someone else might love it...because taste is, in fact, subjective.

And spending a mint having a professional design a high-end interior at a time when you had eight small kids running around seems subjectively stupid to me.

&&&

Find me a person who loves those grey ratty couches and dull maroon checked window treatments and you've proven your point. Otherwise? Objectively hideous.

You aren't understanding the point. I don't know that it makes sense to do high end stuff with eight small kids. What is being said, and not just by me who has bought and sold property closer to the price range but multiple people who have experience in higher end real estate, that she should spend the money NOW to STAGE the house. Yup, it's gonna cost her a pretty penny, but she'll easily make it up on the back end when it sells for much more. It is almost always more lucrative to stage. I'm sure this option was offered to her and I'm sure she declined, because she's stupid.

She had toddlers almost two decades ago. She has four kids left who are almost adults. I trust they can handle a few upgrades now without destroying them. They're not monsters.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

It also looks like she's got a little gym setup in the basement. I vaguely recall the kids mentioning using a treadmill or something, or maybe she did. There's a lot of potential there other than just lining up some machines that are just THERE. Even just an inexpensive water cooler, a bin with yoga mats, a shelf with some towels, a poster of an athlete, a rack with weights, and for a few hundred bucks the basement goes from "a handful of rundown machines that looks cluttered" to a GYM and another major selling point. She's pretty hopeless.

Sad but true said...

I don't know how the $815K sales figure reported last week got out there, but I think that now it has, nobody is likely to get anywhere close to the $1.3mm she's listed for. The $815K seems much more realistic in this market and for this area. It's clear the house interior will need quite a bit of repair/updating. If anyone's looking for state-of-the-art, with remotes to control any number of things, they're not going to find it here. That one photo of the fridge in the basement, with the black cord snaking over the counter, is ridiculous. Who's going to think that's acceptable? If it's a "dedicated" 2d kitchen, then put a damned outlet behind the fridge cut-out where it's supposed to be. I don't doubt there are myriad details just like this to be unearthed.

Ingrid said...

Couple ideas I thought of.

She may owe money to the kids accounts and doesn't want to use her money so trying to get a enough out of the house for that. I hope we are all right and she has to drop the price a lot. I would hate to see her coming out smelling like a rose again even without TLC.

Maybe she had Brownie do the staging to save money since Brownie is up her a** all the time doing stuff for her.

Even though the house is posted on realtor site to the public they may screen people who want to view it. Keep all the nosy ones away.

You’re welcome dumb as you’ve always been. Front end as in NOW. When you first list the house, remodel and stage NOW. The back end is whenever you accept your offer. In no way did I ever say or imply the front end meant when the children were four. Sit down.

Anne said...

I think she has a big problem with the house and property looking unmaintained (which is the truth, but when listing your house for sale, are things you'd take care of to get the highest price possible.)

The side of the house above where the old dog house sits looks like there is a mold problem on the siding because it doesn't get any sun - or at least it's filthy from dirt. This should have been an easy fix with a pressure washer and wouldn't leave buyers wondering if there are further problems they need to look for.

And then there are the trees, especially those along the driveway and in front of the house that have been neglected and desperately need a trim - leaving the impression the house and property have been neglected while being an easy fix and something, IMO, you'd do before listing. Curb appeal can make or break a deal and if I were checking out her property I'd go into the situation with hesitation just based on first impressions of lack of maintenance and possible neglect.

The listing also mentioned the 4 small houses/playhouses. Can you imagine how weathered they are after so many years of just sitting in the sun and rain and snow with little to no maintenance. She may be asking $1.3M but she's never going to get it. Any buyer is going to have to put a lot of money into that place to bring it up to standards and then invest in a big remodel to bring it up to current trends.

Shall we have a lottery for the # of months it's on the market?

Rightly so because she didn't pay for it but it is kinda funny, in the end it didn't increase the value of her home at all. And without it, she'd really take a hit.

This is a tragic, nightmare situation for a real estate owner. You bought an investment, sat in it for 12 years, and didn't make a dime. Even if she did manage to get what she asked for it, inflation means she's still losing.

There are a dozen and a half things she could have done for the same amount of money 12 years ago that would have set her and the kids up to triple their money in 2020.

You might as well have invested in a block of cheese.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Yikes, you're right those trees are a huge issue, they'll need massive upkeep even just to make the property safe during the next storm. One look at this place and it's a money pit.

I'll take that bet. I'm gonna say this is gonna sit on the market for six months, not sell, then be re-listed this summer for 790k where it will sell for 600k two months later.

The books in Kates bedroom are odd for HER. ESCAPE by Caroline Jessop, and I GOT THIS: The Laurie Hernandez story.
It is an UGLY house.
What I find amusing is the fact that no paps have driven out there to snoop around or get a pic of the For Sale sign. I guess it'd only pay $1000 and that aint worth it.

MikeB said...

I looked the house up on Zillow. "Zestimate" price for the property is $841,635 and there is a disclaimer "The list price and Zestimate for this home are very different so we might be missing something." Of course, you're missing it was owned by Kate Gosselin which obviously adds $400,000 to the value.

That home lost a ton of value after the real estate crash. It has been valued at between $700,000 and $800,000 for the past nine years. Kate is going to be very lucky if she gets $850K for it and will likely have to take even less.

Layla said...

I think the changed price goes along with the change in realtors. The house was originally going to be listed with ReMax. I asked the friend who drove by, and she said the signs she saw last week were definitely ReMax signs. Now, suddenly, the price is much higher and it's listed with Coldwell Banker. I'd be willing to bet that ReMax advised her to list the house for $815k with the understanding that it would sell a bit lower. But I think CB let her choose her price, and out of sheer greed, she went with them, hoping she'd come out of this with a windfall. She really shot herself in the foot. This house will sit on the market forever, draining her finances further, until she sells it for something along the lines of what ReMax advised her to list it for. She didn't learn her lesson when they sold the Elizabethtown house. The kind of celebrity she has does not sell a house. People will associate that house with a miserable, broken family, banished child, shrieking shrew of a mother, nonstop discord. They took a loss on the E-Town house. She should know better.

I checked, and Beth's old house is still for sale. It has been on the market for years. That's what happens when you don't price a house correctly for the local market. Does Kate have the money to keep up with all the bills there for years while she waits for a big payoff that's not coming?

Her intention is to never work again (unless it's on TV, of course), so she wants to make big money off this house. Then she can live off that money for a long time while chasing her dream of stardom. Problem is, her house isn't worth the money she wants, and people aren't that stupid when it comes to real estate (except for her). The house is a white elephant, and if she's having money trouble already, it could bankrupt her before it sells. It will all be her own fault for being so greedy. Couldn't happen to a better person.

I think that's EXACTLY what happened. I mean this storyline has been shown on all these real estate shows for years. There's always that one client who wants to massively overprice their house and won't listen to reason otherwise. At a certain point, their price becomes so outrageous and unreasonable, the realtor parts ways with the client, knowing it's just an impossible client and an impossible price. Then they shop around to the next realtor willing to put up with their ridiculous price demands because maybe they can spare an intern to waste time on it and hope that maybe they'll eventually come down once they realize this house ain't selling.

Remember, any new owners of Heffner Rd, will need to sign a contract with TLC to permit the house to continue to be shown on Tv in reruns, like they did with the Andrew Ave house. The people who bought Andrew Ave, could have declined to allow the house to be shown on Tv and put the kibosh on any reruns and DVD sales, but they didn't. Maybe they were paid off.

I totally forgot about that!

Actually, owning a house like this is a detriment at times that can actually end up reducing the final price a buyer is willing to pay. It's probably not nearly as popular as some houses and it being gated helps a ton, but there are actually several well documented horror stories of people who either didn't know the house they bought was so famous, or they knew but didn't think it would be that big of a deal. Until due to the internet all of a sudden anyone could find it and they had fans knocking on doors at all hours of the day. Full House was one of them, as I recall. They get lookie-loos all day long even to this very day.

By "making big money" I was referring to the fact that she is trying to sell that house for hundreds of thousands more than it is worth. No matter what she paid for it, it is not worth what she is asking and she has to know that.

the house is still listed with remax. its MLS so it will appear on all real estate sites.
the "zestimate" is always way off. most of those sites are, it would have to be appraised by a professional.

So Kate you dont know what front end meant? wow! looking at the cheap finishes and no true flow in that house, I see you dont get it. one bathroom is updated in a style that doesnt go with the house. big deal. your house is a country property, you could easily make it modern farmhouse, thats a huge deal now. and it would take pennies to do.

i'm going to say it takes years to sell, at around $580,000. its just way too specific, the pool of potential buyers is narrowed.

If you weren't sure what I meant, why didn't you ask what I meant like an adult? Instead you flew off the handle with some bizarre assumption that I was making a contention the house should have been gutted when they bought it.

The listing specifies the sf without the basement. I guess you must be dumb since you missed that.

&&&

I did not miss anything. I still had question whether that square footage was accurate. I have been in 5,000 square feet houses that feel much bigger than that. But not having actually been in that house, it is hard to tell.

The house IS indeed too specific. Honestly, it's for someone with a lot of kids. All the random little hideaway bedrooms/baths are going to sit there dormant as wasted space for anyone who doesn't at least have four kids to their name.

Layla said...

I'm very intrigued by the summary trial that is coming up. I hate to think she'll walk away with a $300 fine and never have to pay Andrea. Admin, can you weigh in?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

You flew off the handle in a terrifying rage. It was scary.

Anonmyous, have you ever even sold a house before? You sound like you have no idea what you're talking about. There are ways to "fudge" square footage that are legal, somewhat legal, or not legal. The house does not LOOK over 7,000 to me, but like I said maybe there were parts we didn't see, or maybe it's just because Kate has the house filled with so much damn tacky furniture it looks much smaller than it actually is. It's probably that. But some of the largest mansions in places like Calabasas don't reach even close to 7000 and still manage to get five plus bedrooms and baths, giant living rooms and kitchens, etc.

We are just talking, speculating, chatting. Go away. You're not invited on the field trip to tour it.

Yes, I have sold four homes, including one in the price range of Kate's. Never fudged the square footage on any of them. I prefer ethical realtors, but I'm not surprised that you would differ on that front.

For someone who has sold four homes you sure don't seem to know much. I'm guessing your partner was the type who was like "don't worry honey I'll take care of it." LOL.

Um, right, I also prefer ethical realtors. Which is why I was questioning whether this was one of them in the first place. The ridiculous description of this home alone suggests they are much more in the "fudging it" camp than not.

Hi everyone! Nice to see familiar names! It will be interesting to see what happens with the property. It might not sit too long, if the right buyer becomes interested. the cost isn't just for the house, but all that land and the outbuildings too.
The maintenance of the property will be time consuming and/or expensive.
I have been reading articles about house sales during the pandemic. Many home buyers want to get out of cities and crowded suburbs and move to more rural areas, or places they may have vacationed. Areas like the Outer Banks of North Carolina are seeing incredible sales figures. People who can telework don't have to be in a certain zip code anymore, they can move to areas with less traffic and better views.

They all look like that! Kate really proves that you can't buy taste. Once upon a time she had money pouring in; She could have created a beautiful place for her family to live and for her kids to grow up. Or hired someone to do it for her. Instead she went with whatever cheap, tacky stuff she could get for free. Yikes. Reminds me of a quote from Truman Capote: "I always wanted to be rich, terribly, terribly rich. There's no taste in middle-class rich. You have to be either very rich or very poor. There's absolutely no taste in between". I think he summed it up well, at least where people like Kate are concerned. Of course, I think when he referred to "very poor", he was talking about genteel poverty, but he had the right idea.

Whoa, I just looked at a couple of pictures of the house more closely and although we all feel the house has definitely not been maintained I think the house is in much worse shape than I originally thought. I posted about the siding above the dog house being either very dirty or moldy and now I see more siding problems and possibly a problem with the chimney.

How difficult is it to pressure wash the outside of a house, especially one you want to get more out of than it's worth? SMH. Check out the picture taken from the outside corner of the deck showing the little fire 'pit'. Zoom in on the rocks of the chimney and the siding near the roof where the gutter curves down to the right of the half circle window. It's either dirty, has mold or algae growing on it or is worn and needs to be replaced. $1.3 million? For something you have to clean or scrub or replace? I don't think so, at least not in my world. I wouldn't want to see that in any property on the market where the seller is expecting top dollar, whether the asking price is $130,000 or $1,300,000. A house you're buying to flip, sure, but on a house listed like hers.

Oh, and the gutter and downspout at this corner are a different color than what's on the rest of the house. Lol, I have to laugh at myself noticing these things because I know how they bug me and if they were on my own house they'd drive me crazy. I promise, I'll stop looking at the pics.

These are very experienced realtors. They CERTAINLY told her what she should have done to stage this place. She CERTAINLY was the one who ignored their advice.

I can't see anyone who has the money to buy a $1.3M second home buying a property so obviously neglected. They would have to wonder--if there is so much that is obviously wrong with this place, then what am I going to find when I really start looking? The house itself is a disaster. The outside has mildew. The lawn is all patchy and yellow. I noticed that there were pictures included in the listing that are obviously not recent, but were taken back when there was a full, green lawn. In one, you can see that there is no deck--but it appears to have a beautiful lawn. Then you see a pictures that includes the deck, and the grass is all patchy and yellow. The trees are overgrown. And that's just looking at the pictures that Kate/the realtors chose to post. We all known about the damaged floor that she's covering up with a sofa and a rug. I absolutely believe there's a lot more that's wrong with it, and they're being careful to cover it up. That might work--until someone requests an inspection.

Lorrie (158)
I don't think that Blind Gossip is Kate. They would have made some mention of the kids--they always do when they post about her. I think it's Ellen they're talking about.

I don't think that house is going to sell at all at the price she's asking. I think if she really wants to sell, she will have to drop the price back down to around $800K just to get people to look at it, and she'll have to settle for far less because of all that is wrong with that place. I'm going to predict 18 months, sale price around $675,000.

I do feel bad the kids have supported her only to lose their home. Possibly their school. Their mom is unemployed. As Jon said the children said they had to film not they want to film. No parent should put their children in a position of being the bread winners.

What I meant by n statement of the kids having after school jobs was they could be in control of the money they earn, not Kate. They could be exposed to understanding that hey look, there are jobs out there beyond having to be filmed for it like normal teenagers, like their friends maybe. It would get them some independence. Not that I agree with kids who work all the time to support an uncorking parent who IS perfectly capable because she is. To get up off her butt, to work at Target if she doesn't want to be a nurse.

Her kids shouldn't have to live through this embarrassing mismanagement of money just because she wants to live high on the hog and bought more house than she could chew. Why on earth did they ever leave their neighborhood house for this one to begin with?

BlueJay @176 I think that they’re still living there. I’m sure that if they’d moved out they would have taken at least some of the furniture. I think a bunch of junk was moved in to the kids’ bed rooms and that’s why there aren’t any pictures of them.

Layla @ 174 - I think that there’s a lot more damage done on the floors and that’s why there are so many oddly placed area rugs. We saw how she had the one area of flooring repaired (badly). With 3 GSD and all those kids (at one time) running around there’s bound to be more damage that she’s trying to cover up. I also noticed that some of the pictures were old and that in the newer ones the grass was quite bad in some spots. If and when an inspector for a prospective buyer comes through she is not going to fool him. They find everything (as well they should).

Whoever buys her house will have to do a complete renovation. It’s so dated, yikes!
The area rugs all over the house, the builders grade light fixtures, so awful. I couldn’t believe the poor quality of the bathroom cabinetry. How awful. It looks like they got it at the discount lumberyard.
And what’s with the early American furniture? Blech, looks like she raided a sale at a defunct nursing home, especially with that floral print couch.
Omg, is all I can say.
And lining the walls with heavy furniture? Lordy bee!!
The only thing appealing about the house was the lesbian deck-it has potential with the right furnishings.
What immediately puts me off about the house is approaching the front of the house— Yep, everyone wants to see your ugly garage.
There is plenty of room on the property is design a prettier impression of a large home.
And the square footage?. Perhaps she’s including the space above the garage??
I still can’t get over all the rugs everywhere, just so blech!
A house that large needs a bigger kitchen— nothing great about it.

From the looks of the outdated interior, it appears she ran out of q-pons.
Oh well, you get what you get and you don’t get upset!!
