Sounds like you are that parent that would have primary physical custody and he is the non-custodial parent with visitation rights. That's how we say it here anyway. Note that both parents are called PARENTS. Nobody has lost their rights. It's a question of how custody has been arranged for two parents with rights.

Anyway, I totally believe that Steve uses his real name and that he and Kate share a suite when they travel, so it is possible she picked up the phone when the pap called. You never know. The layout of the house has clearly been shown, and who sleeps where. It only takes a minute for a professional to by-pass a system or smash a window and grab. I certainly wouldn't say that "nobody is breaking in." If you know what you're doing, an alarm system can be dis-armed.
The fact that she showed the location of the rooms in the house, and who sleeps where is something that no parent should do, regardless of how sophisticated a security system may be.

She was on it for five months and her skin cleared up beautifully with no scarring. Well worth it. She was thrilled and hasn't had a problem since and she's now 30. ****** I can not imagine Cara being able to get such intensive attention and time from Kate. I just don't think Kate would commit to such a rigorous endeavor. Hopefully, Cara can get on something that helps before she scars.

Didn't TFW writre a blog once about how Shoka could open the basement door to get out (because he hates to be inside)? Even with a security system if your doors are that easy to open there's something wrong. I wonder if she could get the iron security gates made to fit all of the doors and/or windows. They're decorative and nice looking and give you that extra measure of security. The ones made for windows can be easily made to swing outward in the event an emergency escape is necessary. A security alarm is great if you remember to set it.

(Leslie) I figured out on the first/second episode of them moving into that house where all the bedrooms were and who was staying in them. Jon was shown moving the mattresses up the back stairs in the den into M & C rooms. Even one of the tups said that M & C rooms were on the other side of the house. And we all know that Kate's room is off the foyer. And they showed this master bedroom in photos when the house was on the market. A person can easily figure out just from those photos where her bedroom is just from the window placement from the outside. Also it has been shown many times that the tups rooms were upstairs.Even on Celebrity Wife Swap, Kendra was shown going upstairs into the tups bedrooms and then back downstairs.
So if anybody is thinking about breaking in their house, I am certain they have viewed all the episodes on DVD or you tube and can very easily figure this out. I don't agree with Kate showing the map but I don't think it does any more damage than what has been previously shown repeatedly.
Just watched the WW clip and TFW must have forgotten to put in her extensions. The hair was not looking as full and luxurious as it was on CA. I have to say that WW really missed the mark on this. I saw the first 10 minutes or so. My God. I would be humiliated and ashamed as a parent. I would feel like I had failed. So much anger in most of the girls! When you parent in a hostile manner, that's what happens. You reap what you sow.
The boys are sweet and I am happy they are getting away from her and will have their own level in the manse. How humiliating to be addressed on TV the way their mother did. "Did you flush the toilet?" "It smells like boy in here. Nasty!"

Kind of disappointing to see the ratings climbing. If those ratings hold you can be guaranteed the kids will be back to the filming grindstone over spring break.
That's disappointed about the ratings, I worry that that's enough to keep something on the air these days.
I think they're really capitalizing on the train wreck factor at this juncture. It's human nature to look at the disaster and they've edited them for maximum rubbernecking.

I too laughed out loud when she said she doesn't hold grudges. I think of all the people she has cut out of her life for getting in her way, so if there are no grudges then where are all these friends and family gone?
And, Wendy Williams should be ashamed of herself for dumping all over Jon to cozy up to Kate. Sure she asked about Steve, but WHERE are the follow-up questions? More than anything, she wants a dating show. I can see her telling the people at TLC that any candidates must be powerful and rich, all others need not apply.
We don't know what TLC's threshold is for continuing the filming, but they cancelled her when the ratings were around one million. I think people have tuned in because they were former viewers (the ratings did hit that high of 10 million) but I think this formula will fail again. The show with Jon was the number one income source for TLC in its day so I guess she still has some power with them, but TLC cannot relive those glory days. Viewers are fickle and there are some good programs out there. Week after week of Kate talking to the camera and the kids acting wild is not going to keep viewers tuning in. I hope TLC walks away. Everyone has seen the kids so let's move on. She got her chance but the ratings are average, not much above when she was cancelled.

One would have to watch numerous episodes and piece them together to know exactly where the rooms are and who is sharing what room. In the recent episode, Kate did all the legwork for a potential perp by showing the blueprints and explaining who slept where. So nice of her, and so irresponsible..
Kate does have a stressful disease. It's called being batshit crazy. Not to mention, being born without a maternal bone in her body. I think that if having their bedroom in the basement affords the boys even the slightest bit more relief from their gestational carrier, it's a win for them. Kate is mentally ill. If she doesn't see that and won't get help, she'll eventually implode. The reason she hasn't publicly done so yet could be due to Steve's role in her life.

So Kate is a shingle mom? A little dose of karma perhaps? From what I've heard, shingles can be quite painful. I would normally have sympathy but I just can't even dredge up one ounce for Kate.

One viewing party in Philly to watch the Neat episode, is not many times. They seemed to get along from the pics of the Neat party, so I don't get why Kate is still going after her in her current interviews.

On the set I was on, the director and stars, the nanny and the children all stayed in a nice Hilton near Provo.
The rest of the crew, including their own adult child, stayed in a crappy hotel a few miles away.
But I have to completely disagree he was just crew. He is her bodyguard, and it's ridiculous for a bodyguard to be off in another hotel. How will he protect her from snipers and crazy fans? While I disagree with the other poster it proves anything, it does make her story highly suspicious. As if they just made that up to prove see, how could we be together we had 2 rooms! Moreover, what does it prove you had two separate hotel rooms booked. Certainly doesn't mean you're not boinking. People have been known to swing by other hotel rooms for that.

WOW. Last night's show was horrific. But I don't agree with the issue of showing their bedroom placement being a problem. No more than the generation who got stickers from the firemen to put on the windows of their children, so they could be rescued in a fire. It is well known where she lives, and how isolated the house is and the world is not filled with kidnappers. Clearly. Some truly horrific crimes have been commited on innocent children, but statiscally speaking, the odds are minniscul. Everyone reading this has had some sort of worker in their home who can quickly see the layout of your home, and your children are safe at night. But overall, WOW, Ms. "I hate drama. Never realized that drama sells" WHAT WAS THAT MESS. Moving 8 kids, painting rooms and doing construction at the simultaneously IS manufactured drama. Keep all the kids in their rooms, have the basement room built, move the boys, paint the former boy's rooms, move, rinse, repeat. The paint on the floor? Mady genuinely apologized several times. Clearly it was an accident that she got some paint on the floor. All Shrew could do was shreik at her. And at poor Cara. The only time Kate smiled in that whole hour was when she saw the bird, and when she was flirting with the construction guy. She was happier about seeing the bird in the fume-filled room than she has ever been about seeing her kids. was the flirting harrassment? I don't know. It seemed like when they were coming back and the rooms were all done, could they have been at Jon's? didn't they have regular clothes on and is was daylight? Maybe SUnday afternoon? Really, the kids are old enough to do laundry but Kate is possessive of her appliances, like the kitchen's. If she never goes up to the twins' old rooms, maybe their sheets are never washed! Here are some examples of Kate not being a "grudge holder": - almost a year later, she can't tell WW who she would "save" between Kenya and Vivica for a fake business TV show; - she won't let her ex- husband on her property, and will only text, not speak to him on the phone; - she no longer speaks to any family, because they don't know how to help her; - she trashes her dance teacher and a well respected newscaster on a coupon blog because they dare to make fun of her "dramatics"; - she blocks the "haters" on Twitter, and only focuses on positive people (like herself), but meanwhile engages hackers to "take down" the haters; - she freaks out on her bodyguard, for not taking care of a picture that is taken of her camping, and fires him on the spot. Oh wait.....that one didn't happen...
And I'm sure there are so many more examples.
And one other thing I noticed when I watched the RV episode last week that changed from the first airing. When she was freaking out about the pizza, didn't Jamie say "it's all about him, isn't it?", but that was taken out during this airing. Did anyone else notice that?
Well, we know from Robert's book she demanded TLC pay for Steve, accommodations, travel. If CA refused, she'd shell out the money because she MUST have an escort in the big, bad city of NY.
Kate can say whatever she wants because no one from the Trump hotel is going to say if she lied or not. It's just common sense, to me, that they both stayed at the same place for convenience at the very least. He's not crew, he is a personal escort for her majesty and he goes EVERYWHERE with her. It has not changed in years.
I tell you one thing, Shawn could speak as to whether she and Kate shopped alone.

She's legitimately out of control and needs help (seriously, no snark). The kids are having to compensate (healthily I hope, but doubtful w/o counseling) and deal with the effects of her outrageous tirades, rules and ever present control. I think they've lived thru so many years of verbal, physical, and emotional abuse and we're seeing (unfortunately the whole world is seeing) how they've learned to adapt and appease her to keep her calm - the boys primarily, but I see it in all of the kids.

If she never goes up to the twins' old rooms, maybe their sheets are never washed! That is a factor in acne as another poster said. Kate even said their room was filthy before tossing all that crap down the stairs.

Maybe just maybe M&C don't want to be filmed while they're having acne problems on top of every other change a teen goes through. They have other interests now that they're older besides keeping the mistress of the house in silver threads. I wouldn't doubt that's part of the resentment Mady has toward Kate and why Cara is even more withdrawn. Acne is an embarrassing thing as it is, even if people understand the problem, the girls might be very self-conscious about it and you can't blame them. Kate wusses about how awful her childhood was and how she was forced to do things against her will but it's okay for her to do it to her kids. Joan Crawford has nothing on her.
I'll bet the arguments over how the show must go on get fairly volatile in that house. It's a good thing they're secluded or the neighbors would hear the fighting and call the cops.

(Leslie) This was from Kate's blog: To control towel laundry, once weekly all bath towels, robes (little kids use these instead of towels), hand towels, kitchen towels, and during the summer pool towels, and sort via color and wash. Hand towels are collected in their own marked bin in the laundry room and changed more often but bath towels, if hung to dry and air, can be used for numerous days – even I do it! It’s also environmentally friendly!

I think that if anything good comes out of this whole fiasco, it is that Kate has taught so many people how NOT to parent, and the effects parental alienation may have on the lives of children. It's just too bad that her children are caught up in the mix and became the subjects of this learning lesson. If they emerge unscathed and undamaged psychologically it will be because the grace of a higher power was with them.
Those who think that it's no big deal to film the inside of a home complete with the layout, but as a parent of young children, would you show the interior rooms of your home and where your children sleep to 1.7 million viewers? How does Kate's story about how she never leaves the house reconcile with changing sheets only once a month? Doesn't she do laundry on a daily basis? Isn't it on the chore list that when the sheets are laundered make your beds up? Rotate the bedding and everyone would have clean sheets at least once every week or two weeks.

I put the duvets out on the clothesline after they've been washed. In the winter they freeze and my mother always told me that's what kills those winter germs. Don't know if that's true or not but they sure smell good when you bring them in and throw them in the dryer. Pillows get hung out there too.

I've been thinking this for a while now. The damage is done. The more they film at this point, the more evidence the kids will have down the road to validate that what they felt and remember really did happen. And they'll have the proof against anyone who tries to deny it. This "making of memories" may be their ultimate salvation.

---------------- Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. It depends on the area and how many hotels are conveniently located to the venue. There are times when the lodging for crew and production is at a hotel separate from the performers, and there have been just as many times when it was the same hotel, but the crew has the lowly dollar rooms while the show's stars score the top floor penthouse suites.
Logistically, it always seemed to make sense that performers, crew and production stayed at one place, so if there were any issues that came up, either in production or travel, those problems could be taken care of much easier.
What's really amusing are the names that the celebrities use to register. Some are really funny and creative. Only a select few are given that ID so if they must contact the performer, the hotel knows to put them through.
I wonder if Steve has his own secretive password or name? ;)
BTW, I believe she's bat-shit crazy and filming is only the tip of the iceberg of the harm that's being done to those kids. They'll suffer a lifetime for what they're experiencing in their childhoods. I know. I lived it and am still dealing with the fallout.

I had acne as a teenager and two things were imperative, clean skin and no scented products to irritate my face. My dermatologist told me not to use a wash cloth and to never cover up my acne with make-up. Having said that, if I were those twins I would insist on make-up for their shows! As a teen, I was so self-conscious of my bad skin, and if my mother insisted I show myself to the world with my blotchy, red skin I would have humiliated. It was hard enough going to school! This was the 60’s and as I recall the use of tetracycline was not widely used back then.
Why wouldn't their mother ask her make-up person to do what they can for the twins so they are not self-conscious in front of the camera. Oh, right, Kate would have to a.) notice, and b.) care.
It's not so much that the boys share clothing. If they wanted to borrow things from each other that would be fine. But their mother is a millionaire and they're not allowed to own anything. They don't even have a pair of socks to call their own. It's sad IMO. I know it's a 1% problem. Many poor people don't have many possessions. But maybe those poor kids are treated as individuals and a few things they are sure belong to them.
Here is the list of advertisers from last night's K+8 in case anyone wants it. I was in contact with one of the local advertisers in this area today and feel that I gave them something to think about re: future advertising on K+8 AND TLC. The person I talked to thought they could specify which show their ad would air or not air so I don't buy the argument that they have no control over this. I am expecting a call tomorrow from the person who makes the actual decisions re: their ads and I will let everyone know how it goes. What I don't understand is why Proctor and Gamble continues to advertise on K+8's train wreck of a show. Didn't she have a short-lived job with them at one point early in the game? And it is a game to her . . .how may times can I get my mug on TV, how famous can I become? There is no way Proctor and Gamble can't specify where and when their ads air. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm going to spend some time emailing some of these companies about their ads on TLC and specifically the Kate+8 show.

I just watched the episode. I found it really disturbing, especially with all the yelling, screaming, etc.
One thing I noticed is that Kate often looked directly at the camera and spoke to either the cameraman our the sound guy quite often. I'm not talking about the couch interviews, but during regular filming. That made me remember her tweet about when that kid got hurt and skyzone.

When my boys were 5 and under and I had 3 boys. I had 9, yes 9, clothes lines in the side and back of the house. I really enjoyed hauling out the wash and hanging it up in the summer, beautiful day, blue skies. It was like therapy. It was my alone time. Gave me time to think, while the kids played in the yard with the dogs.
Oh and the smell of the fresh sheets, with Downy Softener in the sunshine, is truly one of the best smells ever. When you have a shower and have your bed made up and when your head hits the pillow, you just go right to sleep.
I think she is a horrible mother for not keeping the bed and towel linens washed more often than she does. She is too lazy to do it and to cheap to pay anyone to do it either. Get the kids hampers in the bathrooms and let them do it.
And get extra sets of sheets for each bed. What a household you run!

What's truly amazing to me, after all this time, is that people still buy into this nonsense that she would not be able to support her family without a TV show. Besides the fact that having all these children is a plan that she ALONE designed and executed (as was the ditching of her husband when he got in the way of that plan), this is just a complete fallacy. That Kate has so doggedly stuck to this story (one of the few that's withstood her selective memory), and repeated it at every opportunity, has really succeeded in brainwashing what I assume are otherwise mostly rational people. I guess she deserves some kind of credit for that. But I think in most professions, what she's done would be called fraud.

I don't agree with The damage has already been done. Damage has indeed been done, but it's far from over as long as the kids are on tv. It's one thing to be 2 and have an accident in you'r underwear. The kids have worked enough and their mother (gag) should have enough money to raise them without forcing them to be on tv any longer. Why a judge can't see this just boggles my mind. To completely dismiss the fathers claims is just wrong. I gave up watching this crap when all hell broke lose. I couldn't take it anymore. I spent some time reading Em's wordy blog (strangely, all of the entries had 1/27-28/15 dates. Had she uploaded everything, past and present, to the blog on one day?) about her trip to France. It sounds like she had a great time with a group from school.
Of course it's an incomplete picture and an unfair way to form an opinion about someone, but I got the impression she and Kate are very similar in their reactions to people and events, interpersonal relationships. She talks a lot about being nervous and being anxious in response to new experiences and people - something Kate does.) They seem to be very similar people. When this was discussed a few weeks ago I thought someone said they'd been in contact with P&G who told them they had asked that their ads, for Febreeze IIRC, not be aired on controversial programs and they didn't understand why it had aired during K+8. So, if that was a valid statement, then yes, large advertisers, especially, should be able to specify their ads not air during certain programs. It sounds to me that if P&G believes K+8 is a program they feel is controversial they just need to clarify things with their advertising division and figure out whether a mistake was made with the Febreeze ad running or if their standards are being compromised. Either way, it did sound like they have the choice whether their ads run during certain programming or not. Maybe their confusion is whether K+8 is 'controversial'.
I've noticed a lot of mentions on this blog recently and also on some of the tab articles about not all of the kids seeing Jon, specifically about the twins and two of the tups. Not all of the kids seeing him seemed to be an issue in the past, but we know from various reports as well as from Jon himself, that he sees all of the kids now. He picked them all up after the big yard sale (I wonder if they'll show that on next week's episode) and he had them all over Christmas. So, he's been seeing them all since at least Aug/Sept.

I disagree. How are abused children supposed to behave? What I saw on this week's episode is children who have learned how appease their mother and how to calm her to try to avoid an escalation of her outbursts. It is a learned behavior/coping and protective mechanism and is a result of having experienced the worst of her meltdowns. I think they're fighting to survive in their volatile and chaotic household and are trying maintain some semblance of self esteem and independence.
I think Kate was very close to losing control and her outburst becoming physical when she got so worked up about the paint on the floor. Although I believe they've all experienced physical abuse from her, abuse isn't always physical. I consider what I saw this week, as well as on many previous episodes, to be verbal and emotional abuse and it is just as damaging as being beaten with a plastic spoon or whipped into their crib by their hair. I think the kids are showing behavior often seen in abused children.

Kate would not be able to take her friend/lover shopping with her and other castmates if Steve was not hired. And it does make sense that Trump is not putting hired security in a five star hotel like Kate.

And when you get close on a charity name, Mr. Prescott's name (yes, even "Jones") does not appear on the sites. If he's really so charitable, why can't any info be found? And why do none of the businesses he's involved with have his name/title on their sites? I find this very strange.

I just finished reading "Everything She Ever Wanted" by Ann Rule and the woman in the book--Pat Taylor--absolutely defined the description you posted. Which would make perfect sense, since, if that is the case, she is re-enacting her family script--only now, with her own children, she is emulating the tyrant. Which is why I have such dim hopes for any of these kids, since, without intervention, they will do the same. Some of them may emulate her, some may go into relationships as caretakers (co-dependents) and some may have eating disorders, addictions or even be cutters. In some ways, the ones who rebel are the ones who are most likely to receive I terventiin. It is the quiet ones (code for the boys) that I really worry about. At least they have each other, and in the end, maybe that will save them. And, similarly, the twins have each other, and they also have the upper hand. But the tup girls seem to have a every man for themselves mentality, in which there is always a winner or a loser. Those characteristics are going to very troublesome in adult relationships, let alone, when they have their own kids.

Today ROL has a story about Jeff Prescott and he says Jon is a "deadbeat" dad. Yesterday, the Enquirer published a story about him and how he abused his wife. They said they had court documents and affidavits which prove it.
And according to this part of the article, HE was a deadbeat dad.

I think the reason that none of them knew where anything was during the move was that *they* didn't do any of the moving. I think a crew came in and moved everything out of all the bedrooms and put it all in the common areas.
TFW probably wasn't even home when it happened. Thus wasn't able to micromanage that process, and so had absolutely no idea where stuff was.
It was a stupid way to move anyway. Why didn't Ms. Organized have a schedule? Do the boys bedroom downstairs first, move them, clean out/re-do their old bedroom, move the next person in there, etc. Cascade effect.
But no. It's not as dramatic that way, Ms. I'm Not Into Drama. Let's move everyone on the same day! What a great way to cause chaos!

Sounds like you are that parent that would have primary physical custody and he is the non-custodial parent with visitation rights. That's how we say it here anyway. Note that both parents are called PARENTS. Nobody has lost their rights. It's a question of how custody has been arranged for two parents with rights.
WW sure threw Jon under the bus. When he was on her show, she loved him and hated Kate. When Kate is on, she is just the opposite. Shows that these shows are just a total joke. I realize she couldn't trash Kate, but she could have just shut up about Jon period..he had nothing to do with why Kate was there..supposedly for being fired from CA.

You never know. The layout of the house has clearly been shown, and who sleeps where. It only takes a minute for a professional to by-pass a system or smash a window and grab. I certainly wouldn't say that "nobody is breaking in." If you know what you're doing, an alarm system can be dis-armed.
The fact that she showed the location of the rooms in the house, and who sleeps where is something that no parent should do, regardless of how sophisticated a security system may be.

I will admit I don't wash my sheets and towels as often as I should. I'm disabled and I live alone. Changing sheets on a double bed can be really tiring. I do NOT have cleaning help, laundry help, etc.

My mom lived in a senior apartment residence for a few years, and she really needed the maid service. No way could she have tackled changing a bed.
It's something that all of those kids can do for themselves at this point (the bed making in that house is pretty bad, too! Blech, they always look slept in).

I do not believe that Kate or anyone can conclude that stress caused the dormant virus to activate, and remained sickened by Kate using this to prove just how much stress she's under, raising the family that she chose to have, without the father she chose to divorce, and without the many family members and friends she chose to cut out of her life.
I have a feeling that the public's good will is just about to run out for Kate. She's pushed too far.

Even if Kate has a great alarm system, as far out as she lives..how long before any law enforcement arrives? 10-15 minutes at least I bet. By then, an intruder would be long gone.
She was on it for five months and her skin cleared up beautifully with no scarring. Well worth it. She was thrilled and hasn't had a problem since and she's now 30.

Didn't TFW writre a blog once about how Shoka could open the basement door to get out (because he hates to be inside)? Even with a security system if your doors are that easy to open there's something wrong. I wonder if she could get the iron security gates made to fit all of the doors and/or windows. They're decorative and nice looking and give you that extra measure of security. The ones made for windows can be easily made to swing outward in the event an emergency escape is necessary. A security alarm is great if you remember to set it.

Exactly. Kate has consistently stated in interviews that she is a "single" mom. So she has now broadcast the blueprint to her isolated home in the country where she and her 8 kids live "alone". We know how poorly Kate handles stress. If anything happened, she would not be the one protecting the kids. She would most likely protect herself first "for the sake of the kids".

I just watched the WW video and have a couple of comments.
Kate stated the kids were watched by pseudo-family members they have known for years who NOW live in Montana, and whom the kids feel are big sisters to them. So she's obviously talking about girls who perhaps at one time lived in their area and babysat or were nannies? (I wonder if perhaps Ashley is now living in Montana? Do any locals here know?)
Also, I wish WW could have Jon on again. I hate that Kate gets to come on her show and get in HER "last word" or version on the way things are because I don't believe half of what comes out of her mouth and never will.
She didn't seem to "umm" very much during the interview. Just how rehearsed was this?

I figured out on the first/second episode of them moving into that house where all the bedrooms were and who was staying in them. Jon was shown moving the mattresses up the back stairs in the den into M & C rooms. Even one of the tups said that M & C rooms were on the other side of the house. And we all know that Kate's room is off the foyer. And they showed this master bedroom in photos when the house was on the market. A person can easily figure out just from those photos where her bedroom is just from the window placement from the outside. Also it has been shown many times that the tups rooms were upstairs.Even on Celebrity Wife Swap, Kendra was shown going upstairs into the tups bedrooms and then back downstairs.
So if anybody is thinking about breaking in their house, I am certain they have viewed all the episodes on DVD or you tube and can very easily figure this out. I don't agree with Kate showing the map but I don't think it does any more damage than what has been previously shown repeatedly.
Just watched the WW clip and TFW must have forgotten to put in her extensions. The hair was not looking as full and luxurious as it was on CA. I have to say that WW really missed the mark on this. John didn't give up his parental rights and I hope that someone corrects her on that. WW played the game and kissed ass.

Kind of disappointing to see the ratings climbing. If those ratings hold you can be guaranteed the kids will be back to the filming grindstone over spring break.
TFW might as well get a flashing neon sign for the house roof that says: SINGLE WOMAN, HOME ALONE!
That's disappointed about the ratings, I worry that that's enough to keep something on the air these days.
I think they're really capitalizing on the train wreck factor at this juncture. It's human nature to look at the disaster and they've edited them for maximum rubbernecking.

That is disappointing about the ratings. What were the ratings last week? The only good thing about this is 400,000 more people saw Kate's real personality and her meanness than the previous week. And how her kids disrespect her and how she disrespects them too. I bet a lot of those viewers were from CA, wow, what a shock that must have been for them. She sure acted totally different last night then on CA. Last night's episode undid all the fake goodness she proclaimed and did on CA.
I think people watched this time cause KK was fired and they wanted to see drama.

Oh, none of questions I e-mailed WW saw the light of day! There are no hard questions for Kate, just ain't going to happen!
More than anything, she wants a dating show. I can see her telling the people at TLC that any candidates must be powerful and rich, all others need not apply.
We don't know what TLC's threshold is for continuing the filming, but they cancelled her when the ratings were around one million. I think people have tuned in because they were former viewers (the ratings did hit that high of 10 million) but I think this formula will fail again. The show with Jon was the number one income source for TLC in its day so I guess she still has some power with them, but TLC cannot relive those glory days. Viewers are fickle and there are some good programs out there. Week after week of Kate talking to the camera and the kids acting wild is not going to keep viewers tuning in. I hope TLC walks away. Everyone has seen the kids so let's move on. She got her chance but the ratings are average, not much above when she was cancelled.

One would have to watch numerous episodes and piece them together to know exactly where the rooms are and who is sharing what room. In the recent episode, Kate did all the legwork for a potential perp by showing the blueprints and explaining who slept where. So nice of her, and so irresponsible..
Kate does have a stressful disease. It's called being batshit crazy. Not to mention, being born without a maternal bone in her body. I think that if having their bedroom in the basement affords the boys even the slightest bit more relief from their gestational carrier, it's a win for them. Kate is mentally ill. If she doesn't see that and won't get help, she'll eventually implode. The reason she hasn't publicly done so yet could be due to Steve's role in her life.

I will be very curious to see her ratings next week. She will no longer be on CA and viewers may be thoroughly disgusted with the family's behavior from this week and not turn in. Maybe her ratings will drop big time. Also I think more tuned in because of her Today & Access Hollywood appearance Monday.
I just hope it does not backfire and people turn in next week just to see the trainwreck. They may be curious to see the family dysfunction. Many may be confused between her two images (last night and CA) and turn in next week to see how it plays out.

I think the CA cast did post-filming press events and photo sessions for PR, so I do think they saw each other a few times.
They seemed to get along from the pics of the Neat party, so I don't get why Kate is still going after her in her current interviews.
I suppose if the ratings stay around that level then filming shall continue. Although at the screeching, dysfunctional pace it seems to be going I don't think we're talking "years" here.

On the set I was on, the director and stars, the nanny and the children all stayed in a nice Hilton near Provo.
The rest of the crew, including their own adult child, stayed in a crappy hotel a few miles away.
But I have to completely disagree he was just crew. He is her bodyguard, and it's ridiculous for a bodyguard to be off in another hotel. How will he protect her from snipers and crazy fans? While I disagree with the other poster it proves anything, it does make her story highly suspicious. As if they just made that up to prove see, how could we be together we had 2 rooms! Moreover, what does it prove you had two separate hotel rooms booked. Certainly doesn't mean you're not boinking. People have been known to swing by other hotel rooms for that.

WOW. Last night's show was horrific. But I don't agree with the issue of showing their bedroom placement being a problem. No more than the generation who got stickers from the firemen to put on the windows of their children, so they could be rescued in a fire. It is well known where she lives, and how isolated the house is and the world is not filled with kidnappers. Clearly. Some truly horrific crimes have been commited on innocent children, but statiscally speaking, the odds are minniscul. Everyone reading this has had some sort of worker in their home who can quickly see the layout of your home, and your children are safe at night.
But overall, WOW, Ms. "I hate drama. Never realized that drama sells" WHAT WAS THAT MESS. Moving 8 kids, painting rooms and doing construction at the simultaneously IS manufactured drama. Keep all the kids in their rooms, have the basement room built, move the boys, paint the former boy's rooms, move, rinse, repeat.
The paint on the floor? Mady genuinely apologized several times. Clearly it was an accident that she got some paint on the floor. All Shrew could do was shreik at her. And at poor Cara.
The only time Kate smiled in that whole hour was when she saw the bird, and when she was flirting with the construction guy. She was happier about seeing the bird in the fume-filled room than she has ever been about seeing her kids.

The girls were just sad to watch. I hope Cara has awesome self esteem, but growing up with that mother I doubt it. And it had to be painful for her to see her profile last night. The little girls were, I can't even keep track of who was acting bratty at any moment, there were so many.
but the boys, wow. I am glad they have bonded. and as they grow up they will find a true haven in the basement, between the playroom and their bedroom. I have to think Colin has her number. I think he is wise, and intuitive, and plays the game, and parrots her, knowing that he is winning. At least I like to hope so.
Kate no longer describes him as her bodyguard so he was not there in that capacity. Therefore, there would be no need for him to be in the same hotel. He is her "road manager" whatever that means exactly.

Even if each bed has only one set of sheets, they could wash them more often during the day and replace them at night.Every time we have seen the tup girls' sheets, they are those princess themed ones. Kate is just plain lazy...although as someone said, why not ask the laundry helper to wash them? Really, the kids are old enough to do laundry but Kate is possessive of her appliances, like the kitchen's. If she never goes up to the twins' old rooms, maybe their sheets are never washed! That is a factor in acne as another poster said. Kate even said their room was filthy before tossing all that crap down the stairs.
Let's see. Here are some examples of Kate not being a "grudge holder":
- almost a year later, she can't tell WW who she would "save" between Kenya and Vivica for a fake business TV show;
- she won't let her ex- husband on her property, and will only text, not speak to him on the phone;
- she no longer speaks to any family, because they don't know how to help her;
- she trashes her dance teacher and a well respected newscaster on a coupon blog because they dare to make fun of her "dramatics";
- she blocks the "haters" on Twitter, and only focuses on positive people (like herself), but meanwhile engages hackers to "take down" the haters;
- she freaks out on her bodyguard, for not taking care of a picture that is taken of her camping, and fires him on the spot. Oh wait.....that one didn't happen...
And I'm sure there are so many more examples.
And one other thing I noticed when I watched the RV episode last week that changed from the first airing. When she was freaking out about the pizza, didn't Jamie say "it's all about him, isn't it?", but that was taken out during this airing. Did anyone else notice that?
Well, we know from Robert's book she demanded TLC pay for Steve, accommodations, travel. If CA refused, she'd shell out the money because she MUST have an escort in the big, bad city of NY.
Kate can say whatever she wants because no one from the Trump hotel is going to say if she lied or not. It's just common sense, to me, that they both stayed at the same place for convenience at the very least. He's not crew, he is a personal escort for her majesty and he goes EVERYWHERE with her. It has not changed in years.
I tell you one thing, Shawn could speak as to whether she and Kate shopped alone.

Forgot to say during the shopping trip in Maine, she seemed to dole out two 20 dollar bills to each kid. That's a lot for souvenirs. I also saw that Hannah helped Joel give the cashier the right amount of money. I guess he hasn't been in stores much while probably certain girls have been! Or maybe Hanni is a math whiz.
She's legitimately out of control and needs help (seriously, no snark). The kids are having to compensate (healthily I hope, but doubtful w/o counseling) and deal with the effects of her outrageous tirades, rules and ever present control. I think they've lived thru so many years of verbal, physical, and emotional abuse and we're seeing (unfortunately the whole world is seeing) how they've learned to adapt and appease her to keep her calm - the boys primarily, but I see it in all of the kids.

Maybe just maybe M&C don't want to be filmed while they're having acne problems on top of every other change a teen goes through. They have other interests now that they're older besides keeping the mistress of the house in silver threads. I wouldn't doubt that's part of the resentment Mady has toward Kate and why Cara is even more withdrawn. Acne is an embarrassing thing as it is, even if people understand the problem, the girls might be very self-conscious about it and you can't blame them. Kate wusses about how awful her childhood was and how she was forced to do things against her will but it's okay for her to do it to her kids. Joan Crawford has nothing on her.
I'll bet the arguments over how the show must go on get fairly volatile in that house. It's a good thing they're secluded or the neighbors would hear the fighting and call the cops.

To control towel laundry, once weekly all bath towels, robes (little kids use these instead of towels), hand towels, kitchen towels, and during the summer pool towels, and sort via color and wash.
Hand towels are collected in their own marked bin in the laundry room and changed more often but bath towels, if hung to dry and air, can be used for numerous days – even I do it! It’s also environmentally friendly!
I wash bedsheets every other week, but blankets are only washed at the end of each season… That is unless sickness hits them first and typically that happens at least once or maybe twice a year! :)

I think that if anything good comes out of this whole fiasco, it is that Kate has taught so many people how NOT to parent, and the effects parental alienation may have on the lives of children. It's just too bad that her children are caught up in the mix and became the subjects of this learning lesson. If they emerge unscathed and undamaged psychologically it will be because the grace of a higher power was with them.
Those who think that it's no big deal to film the inside of a home complete with the layout, but as a parent of young children, would you show the interior rooms of your home and where your children sleep to 1.7 million viewers? Isn't it on the chore list that when the sheets are laundered make your beds up? Rotate the bedding and everyone would have clean sheets at least once every week or two weeks.

I put the duvets out on the clothesline after they've been washed. In the winter they freeze and my mother always told me that's what kills those winter germs. Don't know if that's true or not but they sure smell good when you bring them in and throw them in the dryer. Pillows get hung out there too.
It's possible that the boys room has an odor because they are missing the toilet while urinating and the floor is not sanitized daily. She is such an idiot! Here's a thought Kate, get on the internet and purchase a few contour rugs to put around the base of the toilet.

I've read enough comments from the sheeple to know that, collectively, there are few as intellectually-challenged as that group. To label them as "stupid" is really being kind.
My children never had bad acne so I looked up the cystic acne:

I've been thinking this for a while now. The damage is done. The more they film at this point, the more evidence the kids will have down the road to validate that what they felt and remember really did happen. And they'll have the proof against anyone who tries to deny it. This "making of memories" may be their ultimate salvation.

Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. It depends on the area and how many hotels are conveniently located to the venue. There are times when the lodging for crew and production is at a hotel separate from the performers, and there have been just as many times when it was the same hotel, but the crew has the lowly dollar rooms while the show's stars score the top floor penthouse suites.
Logistically, it always seemed to make sense that performers, crew and production stayed at one place, so if there were any issues that came up, either in production or travel, those problems could be taken care of much easier.
What's really amusing are the names that the celebrities use to register. Some are really funny and creative. Only a select few are given that ID so if they must contact the performer, the hotel knows to put them through.

BTW, I believe she's bat-shit crazy and filming is only the tip of the iceberg of the harm that's being done to those kids. They'll suffer a lifetime for what they're experiencing in their childhoods. I know. I lived it and am still dealing with the fallout.

I had acne as a teenager and two things were imperative, clean skin and no scented products to irritate my face. My dermatologist told me not to use a wash cloth and to never cover up my acne with make-up. Having said that, if I were those twins I would insist on make-up for their shows! As a teen, I was so self-conscious of my bad skin, and if my mother insisted I show myself to the world with my blotchy, red skin I would have humiliated. It was hard enough going to school! This was the 60’s and as I recall the use of tetracycline was not widely used back then.
Why wouldn't their mother ask her make-up person to do what they can for the twins so they are not self-conscious in front of the camera. Oh, right, Kate would have to a.) notice, and b.) care.
It's not so much that the boys share clothing. If they wanted to borrow things from each other that would be fine. But their mother is a millionaire and they're not allowed to own anything. They don't even have a pair of socks to call their own. It's sad IMO. I know it's a 1% problem. Many poor people don't have many possessions. But maybe those poor kids are treated as individuals and a few things they are sure belong to them.
Here is the list of advertisers from last night's K+8 in case anyone wants it. I was in contact with one of the local advertisers in this area today and feel that I gave them something to think about re: future advertising on K+8 AND TLC. The person I talked to thought they could specify which show their ad would air or not air so I don't buy the argument that they have no control over this. I am expecting a call tomorrow from the person who makes the actual decisions re: their ads and I will let everyone know how it goes. What I don't understand is why Proctor and Gamble continues to advertise on K+8's train wreck of a show. Didn't she have a short-lived job with them at one point early in the game? And it is a game to her . . .how may times can I get my mug on TV, how famous can I become? There is no way Proctor and Gamble can't specify where and when their ads air. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm going to spend some time emailing some of these companies about their ads on TLC and specifically the Kate+8 show.

I just watched the episode. I found it really disturbing, especially with all the yelling, screaming, etc.
One thing I noticed is that Kate often looked directly at the camera and spoke to either the cameraman our the sound guy quite often. I'm not talking about the couch interviews, but during regular filming. That made me remember her tweet about when that kid got hurt and skyzone.

She sure didn't forget that the cameras were there during this episode. It was as if she needed to talk to the camera and sound guys because they were the only adults around and she felt that she would get validation from them of how hard she has it.
The only good thing I saw during the whole show, was the ad showing that the Duggars are coming back on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 9pm. Two more episodes and Kate's "season" is done.
So after the CA finale, hopefully she and the kids will be off TV for a long time if not forever.

Oh my gosh, how lazy can you bee!
When my boys were 5 and under and I had 3 boys. I had 9, yes 9, clothes lines in the side and back of the house. I really enjoyed hauling out the wash and hanging it up in the summer, beautiful day, blue skies. It was like therapy. It was my alone time. Gave me time to think, while the kids played in the yard with the dogs.
Oh and the smell of the fresh sheets, with Downy Softener in the sunshine, is truly one of the best smells ever. When you have a shower and have your bed made up and when your head hits the pillow, you just go right to sleep.
I think she is a horrible mother for not keeping the bed and towel linens washed more often than she does. She is too lazy to do it and to cheap to pay anyone to do it either. Get the kids hampers in the bathrooms and let them do it.
And get extra sets of sheets for each bed. What a household you run!

What's truly amazing to me, after all this time, is that people still buy into this nonsense that she would not be able to support her family without a TV show. Besides the fact that having all these children is a plan that she ALONE designed and executed (as was the ditching of her husband when he got in the way of that plan), this is just a complete fallacy. I spent some time reading Em's wordy blog (strangely, all of the entries had 1/27-28/15 dates. Had she uploaded everything, past and present, to the blog on one day?) about her trip to France. It sounds like she had a great time with a group from school.

When this was discussed a few weeks ago I thought someone said they'd been in contact with P&G who told them they had asked that their ads, for Febreeze IIRC, not be aired on controversial programs and they didn't understand why it had aired during K+8. So, if that was a valid statement, then yes, large advertisers, especially, should be able to specify their ads not air during certain programs. It sounds to me that if P&G believes K+8 is a program they feel is controversial they just need to clarify things with their advertising division and figure out whether a mistake was made with the Febreeze ad running or if their standards are being compromised. Either way, it did sound like they have the choice whether their ads run during certain programming or not. Maybe their confusion is whether K+8 is 'controversial'.
I've noticed a lot of mentions on this blog recently and also on some of the tab articles about not all of the kids seeing Jon, specifically about the twins and two of the tups. Not all of the kids seeing him seemed to be an issue in the past, but we know from various reports as well as from Jon himself, that he sees all of the kids now. He picked them all up after the big yard sale (I wonder if they'll show that on next week's episode) and he had them all over Christmas. So, he's been seeing them all since at least Aug/Sept.

I disagree. How are abused children supposed to behave? What I saw on this week's episode is children who have learned how appease their mother and how to calm her to try to avoid an escalation of her outbursts. It is a learned behavior/coping and protective mechanism and is a result of having experienced the worst of her meltdowns. I think they're fighting to survive in their volatile and chaotic household and are trying maintain some semblance of self esteem and independence.
I think Kate was very close to losing control and her outburst becoming physical when she got so worked up about the paint on the floor. Although I believe they've all experienced physical abuse from her, abuse isn't always physical. I consider what I saw this week, as well as on many previous episodes, to be verbal and emotional abuse and it is just as damaging as being beaten with a plastic spoon or whipped into their crib by their hair. I think the kids are showing behavior often seen in abused children.

The kids did not say for fact that their sheets are washed one a month. In fact, one of them said once a week. And Kate's blog said she washed them every other week. And I think that is fine.
Everybody hears confusing mumblings between two ten year olds and they repeats it as fact. Same as Kenya stating that Steve stayed in her room. Of all people on the show, how would she know. Did Kate tell her this? Of course not. She is a huge, huge liar on Real Housewives of Atlanta and is a vile troublemaker. Kenya is at the total bottom in believing stories about Steve and Kate and I believe is really is mentally ill. The same with the person stating Steve or Kate answered each other's phone or such in that magazine. So what? For the sake of this point, let's assume they are 100% are not having an affair. I would expect them to spend lots of time in each others room. They are friends. And again, I absolutely think Trump hired Steve to do security for the show and that is the only reason he was shown shopping on film. Kate would not be able to take her friend/lover shopping with her and other castmates if Steve was not hired. And it does make sense that Trump is not putting hired security in a five star hotel like Kate.
Of course Kate is a liar and has lots of problems. But I don't think it is fair for us on this blog to state things over and over and then then everybody assumes it as fact....washing the sheets once a month, they shared a room together.

And when you get close on a charity name, Mr. Prescott's name (yes, even "Jones") does not appear on the sites. If he's really so charitable, why can't any info be found? And why do none of the businesses he's involved with have his name/title on their sites? I find this very strange.

I just finished reading "Everything She Ever Wanted" by Ann Rule and the woman in the book--Pat Taylor--absolutely defined the description you posted. Also I found it a bit babyish when Alexis was rolling in her bunk saying she was in the trees or some such.These two seem both more childish yet more mature than the others. Did anyone else notice that after Sig threw his mantrum, TFW came right in and started trying to smooth it over? it made me think that she has had experience in dealing with raging people in her family of origin. Which would make perfect sense, since, if that is the case, she is re-enacting her family script--only now, with her own children, she is emulating the tyrant. Which is why I have such dim hopes for any of these kids, since, without intervention, they will do the same. Some of them may emulate her, some may go into relationships as caretakers (co-dependents) and some may have eating disorders, addictions or even be cutters. In some ways, the ones who rebel are the ones who are most likely to receive I terventiin. It is the quiet ones (code for the boys) that I really worry about. At least they have each other, and in the end, maybe that will save them. And, similarly, the twins have each other, and they also have the upper hand. But the tup girls seem to have a every man for themselves mentality, in which there is always a winner or a loser. Those characteristics are going to very troublesome in adult relationships, let alone, when they have their own kids.
Many of us have commented on how TFW seems to have multiple personalities. Those kids see that every day. How bewildering must it be to never know which mommy is going to show up each day, or, even, moment to moment.

I think the reason that none of them knew where anything was during the move was that *they* didn't do any of the moving. I think a crew came in and moved everything out of all the bedrooms and put it all in the common areas.
TFW probably wasn't even home when it happened. Thus wasn't able to micromanage that process, and so had absolutely no idea where stuff was.
It was a stupid way to move anyway. Why didn't Ms. Organized have a schedule? Do the boys bedroom downstairs first, move them, clean out/re-do their old bedroom, move the next person in there, etc. Cascade effect.
But no. It's not as dramatic that way, Ms. I'm Not Into Drama. Let's move everyone on the same day! What a great way to cause chaos!

I was thinking that with her exposure to CA, she tumbled to the fact that she could start a 'charity' and get lots of camera time being a spokesperson for said charity. And...lots of travel. Bonus!
She is nothing if not devious and sly.
Her charity will be one of those that you hear about in the news later where the top person was skimming off funds to live large, and very little, if any, was actually going to funding good deeds.
Probably no real charity wanted her as a spokesperson for *anything*, so she had to start her own. With some guy who's credentials seem incredibly dubious.
But she's easily scammed. Look at BV.
This week's broken item to grift replacement of: Treadmill. LOL
So she's hugging a puppy I wonder does she hug and give kisses to shoka as well.
I've never seen little kids so focused on the household tasks. Weird.
Also, I was a little appalled at how they had that nice new flute just laying on the bed and were jumping around on the beds. It would have been waaay too easy to land on the flute.
It certainly wasn't being handled with the care that it deserved. It reminded me very much of how she dragged the vacuum cleaner across the rocks on the RV trip.

Why doesn't she call Sears Home Services? According to their website, they repair treadmills, and I'm sure they're reliable.

Why can't she do the research herself? Add the treadmill to the list of another appliance that has broken on her in the past year.
That treadmill was new in 2012. Remember the uproar that caused? That she was grifting again?
As I recall, Sears finally had to say that they did *not* give her a new treadmill.

This Jones/Prescott guy is a real piece of work. He's got dirt on his hands and seems very suspicious. Good job there, Katie. Although, perhaps we should be worried for the guy.
