(Any thoughts on that?) Kate announcing the pinata game...I have sticks, Back up!

I have read some say it's like the Kate show and all you see is her and hear her talking and hardly see the kids. Isn't that kind of good not to hardly see the kids. She could not hold a show on her own.

Sara....a few hundred pre-teens don't an audience make. -...Try again....

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Paula, I have no reason to try again for you. But let me be direct. Adverstisers market to preteen, tweeners, and teens all the time. No those age groups don't usually have their own money, but their parent's buy them stuff. Did you notice that the new movie for Transformers had a commercial?

It is simply my own opinion that plenty of kids will enjoy watching the older Gosselin's now, if the keep to a mundane story line, or even if they don't. Little girl's are going to develop crushes on the boys and vice versa. They have awful Mady as the heinous teen age girl and the depressive one. Then there is the bumbling blonde mom. I am just saying, I think Kate has a great shot again.

Perhaps we can discuss again Paula, when the next special pops up. :)

And again, I am not her fan or a sheeple but an honest viewer who always has watched. I guess I like a good trainwreck.

Peace,

Sara

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

It might get some use with the chickens, but they can't cut grass with it. It's a utility vehicle, not a tractor or lawn mower. IIRC didn't the old episodes of J&K plus 8 show that they already had some farm vehicles? I know that there were ATV's, but wasn't there also some type of Bob Cat thing or tractor? I think Jon used it on the crooked houses episode.

AuntieAnn said...

So why give the tups a Gator then turn around and not let them drive it, as Collin predicts? He's probably had plenty of experience with the 'currency' policy, so no doubt what he says is true.

It would great if the six decided to donate it to the Ronald McDonald House to auction off like mommie d. did when she was gifted that scooter.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to that big "Gosselins Give Back" idea Kate had a few years ago, anyway?

"I agree with you. using live fish for a game is cruel. Wouldn't the ball knock them out of their cup to flounder about?"

___________

All carnivals and street fairs around here use live fish in their games. I've never seen one knocked out of its bowl. We use ping pong balls. I helped at a community fundraising goldfish stand for many years and we never had one mishap. or abused fish.

"LOL! Looks like she has a penis in that clown Velcro getup (2nd picture)."

It certainly does! An art deco penis, with a full paint job! That is hilarious!

I was reading the BV files blog (someone linked it recently). My gosh -- the defective detective really is a busy person, isn't she? Is all of that true? It's mind-boggling to think that one person is so hung up and addicted to internet activities that it consumes every waking moment! I had no idea of the extent of her involvement in the BV/Kate/outing drama. I was thinking back to the cruise and the vetting she did with the Trust Fund Baby. If "haters" were unmasked as potential cruisers, what were they supposed to do to stop sales? Tell them that they couldn't buy tickets? Did they have a plan in place to take care of that without being cited for discrimination?

Interesting commentary from Alex McCord. At the end she says, "YOu try parenting 8 kids..." Ugh
******
I hate that attitude. I have one child, because one child is all I can afford to raise. I chose to be responsible in that decision, unlike Kate and Jon, who were making it with two children, but not by much. So what do they do, knowing their financial situation? Go forward with expensive fertility treatments and if Robert is to be believed (and I believe him), Kate purposely tries to have as many babies in one pregnancy as possible. She banked on the hope they could land a TV show and make lots of money. She got her wish - except that in her delusional mind, it was supposed to go on forever.

In this country, you can have as many kids as you want. But don't whine about how hard it is to deal with lots of kids, or how expensive it is to raise them, if you purposely chose to have so many.

And I always say this, but it's true. My parents had 8 kids, and would have had more except there were 2 miscarriages along the way. They lived frugally, they loved every one of us, and my mom was never a shrew. None of us kids had to work to support the family!

It really and truly can be done, unless you are a rabid beast like Kate and have only viewed your children as commodities to be used to further your goals.

There are many carnivals now that put only the bowls on the table. If you throw and win, you can pick the fish that you want from a tank they have there, and then the fish is put into a large plastic bag with enough air to keep it alive until you get home.

Lanc Native 37...regarding beta fish in small bowls. The brightly-colored fish are males and they are very territorial. Two or more in an aquarium will fight until death. They will even puff up and charge at their reflections in a mirror. That is why they must be separated in small bowls in pet stores. They are not meant to live in those small bowls for their entire lives.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Respectfully I stand by what I said. No animal should be in such a tiny environment. Including fish. The fact that a fish may live to a ripe old age doesn't mean its environment was comfortable or appropriate. That's Sea world's argument, that they have many whales who live long. That doesn't mean they are not being abused.

I may be an extremist I guess but that is how I feel. And no anonymous I don't shop at pet stores. I order food and meds online from vendors who do not sell animals and who share my views on animal cruelty. I try to only eat foods whether plant or animal that have been prepared for sale in a responsible manner that is not cruel or bad for the environment. Sometimes that means organic but not always it depends. These days it is very easy to find out this information online so it's easier to live this way than it ever was. It's important to me and I'm willing to pay more for that principle.

So no one who has an issue with caging animals is allowed to eat meat? Got it.

Animals can be killed quickly and humanely. Chickens can roam freely and be given excellent food and when it's time to eat them it can be done in two seconds so it doesn't suffer. But a caged animal suffers day after day.

I'm sorry by I completely disagree that one must be a vegeterian in order to express sincere concern about animal welfare. That makes no sense at all since one does not have to abuse animals to consume them. Growing up we did a lot of our own fishing and hunting and it was quick and humane.

And not that it's any of your business but I was a vegeterian for a long time but I found the fiber difficult, and the diet time consuming and inconvenient to my lifestyle at the moment. Now I eat meat maybe 2-3 times a week mostly chicken and fish. All the power to those who can do it but it's unfair to lecture others that they can't have an opinion about how we treat our animals in general.

LOL. When I was in 2nd Grade, I won 2 goldfish at the school carnival. We had a small, Dad-dug fish pond in the back yard -- nothing elaborate, probably held 15 or 20 gallons. Mom put my 2 goldfish, another goldfish and a Black Molly she bought at the dime store out there. By the time she was ready to bring them in for the winter, they were huge -- not as large as Koi, but still very large. She put them out again the next summer and one disappeared. We thought a marauding cat got it but couldn't be sure. The other 3 were still happily swimming around in the yard and spending the winters in our basement when I went off to college. They shared their space with Myrtle the Turtle, whom Mom rescued from the middle of the road and who also lived in the yard in the summer time. Memories, the good kind, not the TFMJG kind.

I seem to remember the Sheeple pitching a fit when a photograph appeared of Jon allowing some of the kids to sit on his ATV (stationary, mind you) without helmets. They were bleating that he was endangering their lives and should lose all parental rights immediately. Guess the baaaaaaa-ing has changed, now that it's TFMJG who is endangering their lives. There is no way those kids are old enough and responsible enough to be operating an ATV. Those things are dangerous, and IIRC, her property isn't very flat, making rollovers a real possibility.

Thanks for the rankings AS 61.

I wonder under if Honey Boo Boo will.be on the chopping block? I've never watched it. Maybe it doesn't cost as much as K8? They did turn down a new house, after all.

Jumping In said...

There are many misconceptions I would love the sheeple to grasp about their beloved Kate, but the first on my list is her status. IMO, she is NOT a single mother of 8, she is a divorced mother with a willing ex-husband in the wings. She perpetuates this nonsense, but then again, no-one ever challenges her either, so she can wear what ever moniker she picks for herself I guess. If she accepted more help from Jon and various relatives, her shtick falls apart. She needs sympathy to stay relevant and blindly admired by these fools.

Another, obvious misconception is her financial status, most recently, her crying poor-mouth then unveiling a ATV at an elaborate carnival-themed birthday party. Now these are obvious discrepancies, right there being spewed and shown on television. Sure, the flock can deny abuse, but at least acknowledge the obvious. Baby steps sheeple, baby steps.

Ok, I watched the clip. Her speech is getting so over the top strange. Her inflections are strange, her pauses make no sense, her accented words are not what anyone else would accent. Her speaking is now the audio version of her manicure flapping. She just really gets further off the normal train every time I see her. Thankfully that is spread further and further apart.

silimom said...

Admin, regarding "animal cruelty = vegetarianism", I agree with you. It's easier nowadays to track where your food comes from and I think it's important to reward responsible farmers/ranchers with my business.

As for whether Kate gets a new show on TLC or not, I doubt it but I also will never say never. However, given that her ratings went down by half this week, and also given how she was portrayed on the show (which to be fair I haven't seen, I'm just going off on what has been discussed here) which didn't seem too flattering, I don't think TLC wants her back. She probably had it written into her contract that they would do one or two update specials once the series ended, is my guess.

It's sad to read that nothing seems to have changed, except that the kids are wiser to her antics and drama. Given the sassy talk she's getting already, it will be interesting to see how they treat her when the twins are 16 and the sextuplets are 13. I hope once the boys are older, they will insist on living with their dad. I wish the same for the girls, but I think they know Kate gives them whatever they want if they stick with her and they'll use that to their advantage. Overall, though, the kids really seem to have her number.

Male bettas are aggressive, not only with other bettas but with fish that have long fins like they do.

I watched the clip where Kate was complaining about the betta fish. A couple things I noted:

1) Mady didn't take the ball from her sister and throw it. The sister (not sure which one it was - Alexis?) was upset that there were no more fish. They told her there were and then she asked Mady "Would you help me?", which Mady did.

2) Kate wasn't saying that Alexis couldn't have the fish. She was just complaining that she now had 4 or 5 of the fish and that combined with her 8 kids and other animals is too much so she won't be doing any other carnival parties where live animals are given as rewards. Hmm…maybe Kate should have thought about that before she okayed that particular game. It was Kate just griping yet again about how hard her life was and she'll blame TLC since they're the ones who set up the Carnival Party for her.

It didn't look like there were a lot of people there, I have to agree. I wondered from the clip if the kids that were there were children of the crew/TLC/Figure 8 employees.

Kate has got really bad grammar: "lended," "wonderfulness," "I am just like they." Some gift-o-gab. Plus the made-up words, oy!

I watched Part 2 On Demand. Wow, the younger kids sure were unenthusiastic and very rude. I really think they will be beyond Kate very soon.Cara was also quite rude in the store, and Mady was basically throughout the show.

So I see, Stevie was there...hiding all of a sudden. I wonder why??

I'm sure I saw him (blue polo shirt) during a carnival scene way in the back, left of frame organizing apparent presents. Perhaps he was determining which were dumpster worthy and which made the cut to pass on for Kate's approval.

somebody on twitter should try telling the sheeple that their goddess was a lying, scheming, cheating welfare queen. It will give them new FACTS to bleat about.

I am all for helping those at home with medical needs they cant manage. But Kate did not require a NURSE for the kids. They had no medical, nursing needs. She needed a pair of hands but she was too much of a bitch to get along with anyone who was willing to help the babies.

I've never seen anything like this. These sheeple, especially Milo, have to be the must stupid group of people ever assembled on Twitter. Milo is now claiming that everything in the book is hogwash...Kate would never do any of that, the kids are loved, etc. etc. They won't believe any of it even if the documentation is thrown in their woolly little faces.
&&&&&&

Go Dutch Mom!

All the evidence anyone needs is right there in black and white, easily found documents. Kate copyrighted the diary. She attempted to sue and then wisely nonsuited because she knew she would not win. If it's "all lies" then sue Robert and win, Kate. It's that simple. Until and unless Kate sues and wins, the book is the God's honest truth. No one would tolerate such unspeakable lies being told about them and not act. Especially regarding the fertility treatment manipulation and beating her children.

The sheeple, at least the hard core ones, are too invested to admit what the real truth is. That Kate is a child and animal abusing pathological liar, who seeks pleasure from sadistically tomenting her children. Funny, when ANY bad press comes out about Jon, it's never lies. They believe every word of it without question. We know we have been vocal and caring about the plight of these children. To save face, these people are happy to let them suffer. If they can look in the mirror and live with that, then I pity them.

Silimom: Kate has a whole shit load of pets. one dog, one bird and 2 fish, they did have a frog at one time, and they have 50 chickens. Who live in the barn, far from the house. That is a lot of animals. I have 2 dogs, 4 birds, one Betta fish and a 5 gallon tank full of never-ending fish Guppies. And there is just me in the house.

Lanc Native: A person at one of the local pet sores, told me how Betta fish are shipped. They come in small blister packs, on a sheet, that have to be cut out and then the fish is poured into the small containers. My Betta fish is in a 1 gallon, glass drum fish bowl, with a heater, a Small World filter, and a thermometer. I have a female Betta. She is a happy fish. These are tropical fish, same rules apply, even goldfish. Betta fish are expensive fish starting at $2.39-$8. Goldfish can be cheap fish or very expensive fish. Feeder goldfish, which is what they use at carnivals are about 13 cent to 23 cent a fish, on sale for 10 cents. But Kate did say at the beginning, nothing but the best for my kids.

My laugh with kate is when she went to the Party store by herself. Kates angle there was the poor struggling mom. BS! That was in part 2, in part one Kate had gone with the kids to the party store, why did she not get everything the first time? Idiot! Fame whore

silimom said...

It ticked me off when I originally read her appeal letter to Medicaid years ago about how her infants were disabled because they “They cannot feed themselves, transport themselves up and down stairs or at all, bathe themselves, get a drink when they are thirsty, go to the bathroom by themselves, put themselves to bed or dress themselves.”

Um…the babies were 11 months old at the time. I'm not sure about any of you, but my kids wouldn't have been able to do any of that themselves either (they could use a spoon but could not of course prepare their own food, which is what I think she means).

And that attitude was there prior to the show even starting. She's always had this put upon attitude about being a parent that just makes me sick.

PA Dutch Mom-I was looking for that same article, but you found it first.

While searching, I came across another article published in the Reading Eagle and written November 2013 titled "The future of open records: Revising your right to know", about changing the Open Records law in PA.

This is the interesting part of that article:

"Another Berks request was made in 2009 by People magazine, which was seeking records of calls to Wyomissing police made by TV celebrity Kate Gosselin. Though Gosselin no longer lived in Wyomissing, the Open Records office ruled in favor of the magazine and said police should release the records.

It's unclear if the magazine ever used the records. Later that year, another police department was called to the Gosselin home in Lower Heidelberg Township as Kate argued with her then-husband, Jon."

Why would People want records of Kate's calls to the Wyomissing police? Were they trying to verify a story that she gave them?

The thing she doesn't seem to understand is nobody said having six babies at once wouldn't be stressful, difficult and most of all exhausting. Yeah, it probably would suck to take care of six babies at once. I'd want one or two at a time at most. I get it. But just because you got dealt a crap hand doesn't mean that we the people have to pay for it to make you more comfortable. Too bad, so sad.

Not to mention, they had a plethora of resources they could have relied n other than government assistance, starting with their own church.

So Milo admits she has read the book. I wish she (or Kate) would address the reason why Kate COPYRIGHTED her journal/the book if it was all lies? Also, if the book is all lies why has Kate not sued? The accusations against Kate are horrific and possibly career damaging so WHY is Kate not suing Robert. Finally, I would like for Milo to go look into her dogs eyes (really look!!!!!) and ask herself how can she still support a child and animal abuser. A true animal lover would never EVER tolerate ANY form of abuse towards innocent creatures.

@BarbaraJean_s @TheRealDealAlex a serious question but has any abuse by @Kateplusmy8 been proven or is it just tabloid/gossip conjecture?

Simon, maybe you should research this before your wife goes taking up for a child and animal abuser. In seriousness though, I do appreciate you asking. That is a good first step instead of just believing whatever you hear. How about watch the show, that's all you need to know. As far as the only alternative is welfare, well first of all yes that is better than exploiting your children as a matter of fact. And second, she is an able bodied 39 year old woman GET A JOB. Why is it such extremes? Why is the only alternative to child exploitation WELFARE? Why is it that the rest of us support our families without resorting to EITHER welfare or exploitation. Good Lord Simon get a grip.

Simon was a drive by here earlier today. I guess he trolls the internet all day looking for mentions of his wife. He was very upset I dared to share that I saw Alex on RC and adamantly denied it. I wonder if HE has a job lol.

I hate to inform him that there is a woman who looks exactly like Alex, right down to the way she styles her hair. Also her teeth, her bone structure, and her voice, talking about how much she and her family loves Royal Caribbean in what was some kind of 10 minute infomercial. I was not the only family member to notice so I know I wasn't crazy! Maybe you should give them a call because I'm sure lots of people are thinking Alex or Alex's twin is endorsing them and you should get a cut.

#snark, I still think that was her. Whatever Simon! Now I wish I had taken a screen capture.

I was pretty confident they were going to lose a ton of viewers for part two but I didn't want to jinx it.

It proves exactly the point we were making. People checked in because they were curious. Once they saw them that was enough, there was no need to tune in next week. And this was even with a stupid teaser of a "surprise" too. Nobody cared.

Based on what happened to the ratings, it's a relief that we can be fairly confident this will never make it as a series. TLC's not that dumb.

Oh yeah I remember this couple. Are these the kids Sir Lancelot and Lord Voldemort of the Shire?

I always got a kick out of them when I used to watch that show because they obviously lived a very lavish lifestyle however it wasn't quite as posh as all their friends and I think it was Bethany who one time went over to their house and was horrified at their "upper middle class" lifestyle. She thought it was funny that they thought they were so much richer than they were. They lived in BROOKLYN I tell ya, Brooklyn!

The whole thing was silly but funny. Rich people thinking they are way more richer than they really are. Good T.V.

Also Simon seemed awfully metro.

Interesting to look at the ratings. We were at our favorite neighborhood sports bar for dinner last night and watched the NBA draft.
Heartwarming story of something really nice being done for a young person. Isaiah Austin who is a twenty year old Baylor sophomore, had a physical earlier in the week as part of the NBA draft. He was diagnosed with Marfans Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that can cause enlarged heart. His life changed, he can no longer play competitive sports, including college ball. He could die.
The NBA commissioner Silver invited Austin and his family to the draft, gave him an honorary selection, Ahmad promised him a job with the organization after he graduates. That was so nice to see.

Yes. I guess it would seem hypocritical to some if they start criticizing Kate. Their children were prominently featured too and discussed on television. They were in no shape or form off limits.

In a case like this one where it's apparent something is wrong here but you could be accused of being hypocritical if you don't support it, best not to make youtube videos taking up for child abusers. Just don't say anything at all. Now they've inserted themselves into this mess. Come what may.

Those gators can be dangerous. They go REALLY fast for an on-property vehicle. You do not have to wear a helmet. I don't remember if they have seatbelts. There is NO reason a child should drive one. And children or adults should never ride in the back. I really hate to say this but one of those kids could end up seriously hurt or worse.

Someone mentioned Park City Mall. I hope that they really went to Berkshire Mall. There is a BonTon there. I wouldn't want them to have to come all the way back from Lancaster from school just to go right back to shop. I am, however, impressed if Al Boscov refused to allow them to film. (Just speculation.)

Is it merely the celebrity status and Kate is the only "celebrity"who will give Milo the time of day and make her feel special, even if she's a has-been? One just has to wonder what in the world Milo sees in this woman that makes her defend Kate to the ends of the earth. Is it love, or just lust? Is there something so lacking in her own family life...perhaps no affection or attention from them that she has to turn to a special "friendship" with someone she doesn't know?

Or is Milo herself (himself) a narcissist who found a way of getting attention, even if it means she's made herself a laughingstock on Twitter? Ah, sweet mystery of life. I'm not surprised as I watched some of the unmanned test runs yesterday and it didn't look very good to me--but I don't like heights and would never consider riding it even if it is determined to be safe. I did find a video online where the engineers did a test run on it when it was much smaller and closer to the ground. The I Must Be Insane--I Rode The Verruckt t-shirts they were selling at the gift shop may become a collector's item.

This is also OT--I remember seeing a news report about a manufacturer who had had pennants made up in advance depicting the St. Louis Cardinals as the winner of the 1985 World Series or 1-70 Showdown Series which the KC Royals actually won. I was able to contact the manufacturer and purchase one of the pennants for my brother who is a die hard KC Royals fan.

I wonder if the sheeple have their own special t-shirts? With a picture of TFMJG in all her eye-popping, wrinkled neck glory from her GMA appearance on a black background on the front and maybe a list of the TFMJG's top ten favorite sayings on the back. I don't know if fish can be happy, but fish can be frightened. Of course, I wouldn't know this for sure because I've never been trapped in a glass bowl with a giant ball hitting the surface of the water, but if fish dart away, as far they can in that tiny glass bowl, I'm going to go out on a limb and say they are at least startled by it.

Why should animals of any kind be subjected to games like that simply for the amusement of humans? I don't see how it's justified.

I thought the kids were piled on Mommy's bed tonight? Uh oh.

One of these days she's going to get caught in a lie about the kids and she came pretty darn close tonight. You can't see whether any of the other kids sitting at the table are Alexis but I hope she too is with her Daddy this weekend and not whispering sweet nothings to her psychotic mother.

.....My carnival is right by a river and I can't tell you how many plastic baggies I have torn open to set fish free.
____________________

Please, please don't do this anymore! I know you are trying to do the right thing, but that could just make things much worse for fish that are native to the river, not to mention the wildlife and vegetation. It is also said that flushing is inhumane. The link below suggests of other ways to get rid of unwanted fish.

Plan B - Dumping
There are so many ponds, rivers, and lakes. Why not put unwanted fish there? Seems kinda natural, doesn't it? And it would be - if the fish came there in the first place. However that is almost never the case. Thousands of non-indigenous species of fish are imported to the United States and other countries each year. Those fish do not belong in the local waterways.

Why? For starters the living conditions are usually less than ideal. Water temperature and other environmental factors may be too harsh for them to survive. Bacteria and parasites they aren't normally exposed to (and therefore are not resistant to) might infest them. There may be no suitable foods for them and they will starve. Or they may become lunch for the fish and other wildlife that are native to the area.

For most non-indigenous fish the odds are not favorable for a long and healthy life. Those that do survive pose an even worse problem. Non-native fish can play havoc with the habitat. They may kill other fish and wildlife, destroy vegetation, and pass on parasites and disease.

In some cases it is possible for them to breed with local fish and create destructive offspring that Mother Nature never intended to exist (and we all know the perils of fooling with Mother Nature). Considerable damage has been done to many local ecosystems by non-indigenous fish that were carelessly dumped.

In my opinion, you have to be some kind of crazy to be on one of these "reality" shows. No one will ever take you seriously during or after the show. These people only show up on gossip sites and magazines. Me? I would be mortified to be shown in the light that these "reality" stars are shown. Also if it were just those two, they would probably sit across from Jon not next to Jon. It looks like there's room for three or so more kids at that table. The waitress is blocking the rest of the table.

Can anyone who watched the show tell me what the huge surprise (that the kids and their friends would never, ever, ever, ever, ever forget) was? Was it the carnival that they didn't want or even seem to enjoy much (and which very few friends showed up for) or the vehicle which they will only be allowed to use when they are performing manual labor for their mother?
The kids would have much preferred rollerblading for their party and maybe their own rollerblades for gifts (which would had been just a fraction of the cost of the party and gift "they" got), but of course, their 10th birthday was not about them.

You mean the friends who have to be shuttled in for a party because their parents are not allowed to drive up to the house? That part was really weird, as if I would have sent my kid off on a van to a party being filmed for a tv show? 6 kids, 14 fish, had to mean not a whole of friends for this big party. How very sad.

And now what? Once again, it is all over. Not much on TFW's 'business' calendar I would imagine. Vacation Bible School is only a week. The loong summer stretches ahead. Guess the pool will be the entertainment for the next several weeks. And yes, to all who defend her by saying what else can she do, she has to support 8 children - GET A JOB. Pretty damn simple.

So yes- I would expect some goodies and little toys from the party, not a live being. To me that's cruel to the fish, the child and the parents .Sets them up for loss, grief and guilt.

My theory is that Milo (Woof!Woof!) is a segment of Seabiscuit-Bruce's fractured personality. Or is a paid "helper".

My Nexus informs me that I'm 53% through the book. It's like having to read The Red Badge Of Courage when I was a junior in high school. A long, drawn out tiring affair but so worth it in the end. Is there an award for heroism is biographical literature? If there is I know who should be nominated. I had to get my Dexilant prescription filled just to carry on reading yesterday. My dentist probably isn't going to be very happy about the teeth grinding either.

I think I have a career idea for Seabiscuit-Bruce when she finally figures out that she is not marketable. Payday Loan Collections. It's perfect for her and she already has all the qualifications she could ever need. She's persistent, demanding, nasty, loud, intimidating, loves $$$, lazy (could sit at home and work from her pink iphone). I think it's a perfect fit for her. Since I know you read here SB, when offered the job say "Yes please!!!!!".

I'm going to try to clear up some of what I said about the Gator yesterday. When I wrote that comment, I didn't know if the Gator was an atv. I'm a bonehead when it comes that stuff and call any motorized toy vehicle with four wheels an atv and a three wheeler a three wheeler. I asked Mr. Kelly when he came home and he said he thought technically it could be referred to as atv but in reality it's like a glorified, very expensive golf cart. When I said "I would happily pay just the taxes on it", I should have said Kate probably would. I don't want a Gator. We avoid John Deere here mainly because you're expected to buy John Deere and we like to think of ourselves as rebels ;) Besides I have a Yamaha Blaster in my garage that I can do plenty of damage on. I'm pretty sure my husband disconnected the throttle to save me from a spinal injury. I would have no problems with the kids riding the Gator as long as they had helmets on (full helmets, not the skull cap types they are wearing in the pic), were on level land, a speed governor was engaged and at least two adults supervising. Since that probably wouldn't happen at the McMansion, it might be for the best that they won't be allowed to ride it. But if that's the case, she needs to either lock it up securely, get rid of it, or store it elsewhere because the kids will figure out how to break it out if left to their own devices. My kids did and we thought the log chain would deter them. We were furious but glad they weren't injured.

I just watched part 2 of the special. Very boring--I was doing laundry and other things because I could not stand to sot and watch it. She has only herself to blame--instead of spending the last several years trying to get herself back on TV, she could have been learning this to be a decent communicator. She is actually even more awkward in front of the camera than when she had a show. She is stuck in time--nothing new. The only thing I have to say about the kids is that I do think that the boys have a great relationship with each other--big contrast with the flat affect we saw on CW. The fact that there are 3 of them is a good thing--I can't imagine what it would be like to be the only boy in that household.

My daughter won a fish at a carnival. The poor thing actually died as we were releasing him from the plastic bag. On the other hand, my neighbors had a carnival goldfish living in their rain barrel, that lived for at least 7 years.

I was just deleting some spam from a some old posts and it's really striking how different her lifestyle was just a few years ago. I'd forgotten! Ted was giving interviews about her super special hair and what he was doing to it. She was doing photoshoots galore and was hardly ever home with the kids, we were keeping track.

It's amazing how far she has fallen. She must long for those days. And I bet she resents the kids.

Her couch interviews were hot messes, all of them! They prove beyond any doubt that TFW hasn't worked one whit on her communication skills. But the ones that illustrate the full & true extent of her narcissism are 1) when she talks over Maddie, talons waving, and ignoring her daughter altogether; and 2) when she's talking about how hard she has it…tucked ironically into a cozy chair, with her designer jeans-clad a** to the camera.

I am an old-timer here. I used to chime in on the maintenance issues and complications and pleasures of owing acreage. I am definitely not an expert, but I do have blisters and experience to support my opinions.

In the last 16 years, we have owned a Kawawski mule, 2 Kubota RTV's and a Prowler HDX. All were purchased for utility purposes. But, we had a constant flow of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends visiting our home. Such a vehicle is soooo tempting for young adults who want to learn how to drive.

We never had a version without a top and roll bar. Kate has neither. We held informal "classes" for teaching. Kids loved it. They learned about turn radius, backing up, shifting, driving on hills, etc. (I could use their labor to pick up rocks or fallen limbs at the same time.)

No one ever drove unsupervised until the age of 13 -- or proving themselves to be capable. These vehicles are NOT toys.

In farm country, kids learn equipment earlier and more naturally. Responsible adults should always be involved. I don't consider Kate to be responsible or maybe even an adult.

"Yes, indeeeedie" she will use that Gator for reward or punishment and not consider the consequences.

At Six Flags over GA years ago, a man was at a stuffed animal booth and it cost 10 cents a throw and he was very, very good. He was winning SA's for underprivileged kids for Christmas that year. A huge crowd was gathered just watching him and rooting him on.

Word got around that he was getting low on dimes. People were digging in their pockets and purses for the dimes and giving them to him. He had won so much that they were having to call the warehouse! to bring more SA's! haha

Then they told him he had to quit. Boo!!

A simple solution to the Fish Game is either you can choose a coupon for a free fish or save $1 dollar off your purchase or I think this is the best! Have Stuffed Animal FISH! Really cute SA fish. Toss the ball into the colored water bowl, you get it in you win a SA fish!

Kate's is a low end, very small John Deere model. Max speed is around 20 MPH. Her tires were proportionate, not safety over-sized. On flat ground it would be very difficult to flip. Safety specs provided by JD would say -- No driver's under 16, no passengers riding in the bed, etc. Rules no one has probably ever obeyed.

It is billed as an affordable Gator with a light footprint on turf.

If you want to know more, look on John Deere's product page. It appears that she has model # TS 4x2. ($6,799.00) Basic with no frills or extra safety features.

Obviously this is submitted by a farmer's wife. He has no respect for such an "urban" version of a UTV. (Sorry.)

I bet you dollars to funnel cakes those kids had more fun having a
casual dinner out with their Dad than at that cockamamie carnival.

Dmasy, thanks for your tutorial. I'm always happy to see your
name here. Drive safely, and enjoy the wedding!

Tfw can use the gator to keep the trash behind the gate until just before Mr. Trashman shows up. Smirk.

Bingo! I know of a few people who have large properties who only use their mule to take the trash down the lane. As soon as I heard she had grifted this mule, I knew there was no way this was a gift for the kids, it's not even remotely age appropriate. This is a gift for her. She has probably always wanted one but waited until she could grift it.

Dmasy - I appreciate your farmer's wife perspective and information. Gotta luv those farmer husbands - and I totally do!
Re TFW's UTV - I noticed hers had 'smooth' tires (like you'd see on a golf cart) rather than the ones I saw on the JD site which have deep bulky tread. Her tires are cheaper, but I'd think the others would be more practical especially for use in snowy weather. Or maybe she doesn't care that the boys have to trudge thru the snow to feed the chickens.

I just read my comment about the mule and I suddenly feld sad.

Let's acess the situation here. For this update special, the kids were gathered up and told they were going to have an awesome birthday surprise! The kids excitedly asked where they were going. Kate tells them they are not going anywhere, they are going to fulfill her dream of re-creating their 3rd birthday carnival. Sad and dejected faces across the board. Then Kate teases the kids about a "big surprise" A $6,800 John Deere mule shows up that none of them, even the twins should legally operate until they are 16.

It was the tups 10th birthday but none of their wishes or dreams were even considered. They can't even use their big gift. This update was all about Kate and what Kate wanted. As always, the tups were just supporting characters, her little props.

Remember when the men had brought the tents and one guy was standing there when Mother Talons walked up in a panic with her papers and said, Can you stop and MOVE these over where it is clear in my head? The guys had already unloaded, laid out the tarps. The look on his face was WTHeck?

She also said that her yard was not all flat. I am so worried about that Gator, with no roll over bar and those kids riding in the back. If one kid is driving and you know how kids watch other kids do something and they want to do it, they start fighting the kid who is doing it.

And if this was product placement and there was an bad accident, which I PRAY doesn't happen, JD will get outrage from hell because the kids are too young to drive it. So will kate. But the sheeple will somehow blame Jon. He rode them on one like a maniac years before and it influenced them and they begged their precious mom to get them one for their birthday celebration.

That is how the sheeple function, blaming Jon for everything.

If Jon was dining where I think he was (and I'm pretty sure he was) then You are correct. This place is like an outdoor beach (but not near the water), fun place for kids to play together and grownups to chat with each other. Outdoors dining is BUSY in the spring/summer/early fall. I drive past that place at least once a week and its always packed on the weekends. Kudos to Jon for proving you don't need a tv special to do what all good parents do - which is be present in their kids lives.

Hi Dmasy, glad to ” see” you!
Hearing about how awkward TFMJG was in interviews is almost sad, when you think of all her lost opportunities. She could have taken classes in public speaking, acting, voice, current events even, and learned how to present herself better. Many celebs who haves been on DWTS have also been able to tour with a live show, or go to Vegas to be in live show they had there for a while, or come back as additional interviewer doing fun pieces. Carson Kressley was not very good and not that well known, but he was FUN on the show, always with positive can do attitude and he had additional opportunities like I mentioned.
You have to wonder what kind of discussions went on behind closed dots with her management. Obviously Shmoopie just didn't listen to any advice.
