And there's Kate, with her 'bodyguard' guarding her at an exclusive resort in Mexico, while she lounges in a chair. It is really, really laughable. She is a laughing stock. I am in the camp that believes he is her handler and she cannot even navigate an airport alone.

Me too. Steve helps Kate accomplish her daily tasks because she's simply incapable of doing herself, or so she believes.
Which brings me to my point of when is Steve's job done? Is he doing anything to help make her not dependent on him?
It's kind of sad, when you think about it.
I think she would be shocked at how much respect she would gain if she just said look I had a dream of being a star and thanks to my kids my dream came true. I never want to go back, I don't WANT some mediocre nine to five job cleaning up mucus and blood, I want the hotels and the cameras, the hair and makeup and all the perks. It's not because I have to, it's because I WANT to.
Even my narcissist never tried to deny she loved the lifestyle and the business. She liked having buckets of money, she liked being able to have nannies care for the children except when she felt like swooping in once in awhile, she loved her assistant she's had for over a decade now, she liked having a staff, she loved the mansion and the sunny CA lifestyle, she loved being a star, she LOVES to travel, she loved having other star friends, she loved the parties and the premieres and was usually scrambling to try to scrounge up a family member or friend to drag along since no one else liked it. She would say over and over how blessed she was and how fun being a celebrity was. She never tried to claim she had to do this for her children. She never tried to deny that all but one of her children hate the lifestyle, that all her lovers hated the lifestyle and left that lifestyle one by one, that none of her family likes it either. She will freely admit no one else really likes what she has to do for all these perks. Rather, this was for her, she OWNED her selfishness and narcissism, and I will forever respect anyone who just admits hey this is for ME, not for anyone else even those I love and heck if the people I love even want to get out (and certainly have), I own that that's on me.
It really is the excuses, the laziness and the lies that bother people most of all, next to the child abuse.
I think Steve is playing body guard this time around. He or Kate have read this blog, and saw where we said body guards do not carry purses etc, so this time, he lets her carry her own stuff. Plus she is usually a step or two ahead of him this time, instead of walking next to him like she usually does. Seems like if he were playing her manager or assistant, he would help her out when she has an arm full of stuff to carry?
I watch PW...the difference, in my opinion, is that her husband/kids are the periphery to the episode. Ree and the food is the major focus. For J&K, the kids were upfront and in almost every scene.
To be clear, I don't like that PW films her children however I have noticed she has a very good sense of boundaries about that, even on her blog. I'm talking about boundaries that are hard to really define. I don't REALLY feel like I "know" her children at all. They are names and faces and I know the boys like sports and the girls like fashion but it's all superficial stuff like that. So does any kid.
I couldn't tell you anything about their personalities, even after seeing them on the show. I don't know who's shy, who is prone to being emotional, who is more difficult, who is easy.
Whereas with the Gosselins I feel like we have gotten to know who they are as people on a very intrusive, rather creepy level. You can see it with the fans they feel like they know the kids, and they wouldn't be entirely wrong about that. This results in a creepy kind of faux connection they think they have, and that's frightening. I have not in my limited observations seen PW fans showing that same sort of feelings of "connection" to her children because the things that would foster that don't occur.
The essence of who the PW kids really are as PEOPLE has been very guarded. They are mere characters who do a few kids things now and again that she talks about, and it stops there. I strongly believe these sort of things do seriously matter in terms of whether filming your child is harmful or not.
This gig is clearly only to have a 6 week vacation with cameras and room service. And it is going to lead to bubkis, another good Yiddish word for a big fat nothing. It is way past time to own it - own the love of the camera, the me, me, me. Just own it.

Exactly. And that is what pi&&es me off the most about this whole thing. She's gotten what she wants. Again. She doesn't want to "work" like every other divorced mom raising children. She won't go back to nursing. She won't sling burgers at Mickey's, like she claimed she would. Yes, folks wanted her to do whatever as long as she didn't involve the kids. However, this is a vacation for her. It's not work. It's all about the perks. No kids, free hotel room, free room service, free meals, free transportation. She loves this. She thrives on it. How does she continue to do this? Sticking a fork in her doesn't mean a darn thing. She's certainly "not done." She's up again and running and having a blast. Her face is in the tabs. She's getting publicity. Her kids aren't her responsibility anymore, and she's loving every gosh darn minute of it. It's disgusting, frustrating, and enough to pull your hair out. Karma, in her case, has found its way out around her, moved on to the next person on its list while TFW is having the time of her life once again.
I really don't see a difference with any child exploitation this is why I don't watch HBB-child or the Duggars not even the little couple.

Nope. Neither do I. I've never seen Housewives, Duggars, Little Couple, Dance Moms, Boo Boo...none of it. I don't care. I once stumbled on Toddlers and Tiaras and couldn't change that channel fast enough.
However, I did see that "Turkey Neck" was showing today and was curious. Some paid programming. Dr. Perricone Plasma something, and had to chuckle. I wonder if this is on Kate's to-do list. She's done everything else.

One of the reasons the fans feel as if they know the Gosselin children: the handy "descriptions" from the opening credits of J&K+8. We found out one child was "sneaky," one was "stubborn," and one was "wild." I'm embarrassed to say I once enjoyed the show, and honestly didn't think about how awful that seemingly innocent rundown was.

With Milo, it's an illness. Paige is a youngster who had a girl crush on a celebrity. Obsessive, yes, immature, certainly, but it happens with teens. Milo, on the other hand, is an adult (supposedly) who is a scary individual. She (he) lusts after Kate and makes no apology about it, even though others call her out on it. She keeps going and going and going with the bizarre tweets about Kate's body. Even Gladys at her worst, was never that bad. Milo isn't content to peer in windows; she actually images herself climbing through them and becoming part of the Gosselin family. Last stage of CWS.

Most fans that age I always thought would grow out of it and be fine. Celebrity worship is a completely normal phase many teens and young adults go through. It's about finding your own identity. You grow out of it. I never considered the teens a big problem.

OT: There was an interesting segment on a news show this morning with a woman named Jennifer Buhl who wrote Shooting Stars. It chronicles her time as a paparazzi. She said there were celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears who would call the paparazzi to let them know where they would be. She said many of the paparazzi have the cell phone numbers of celebs and the profits were split. She said Kim Kardashian gets 60% from her pictures. She said “A LOT” of reality tv stars (and I use that term loosely) called when they went out. That’s no surprise but it just verifies what has always been known (Chris in the Target parking lot). I’m curious as to the inner workings of stars/paparazzi so it sounds like an interesting read.
Alert! Alert! The sheeple had an emergency battle meeting and this is what The Z came up with. Kate's non-wrinkle face, the de-aging, is a result of living a healthy lifestyle.

I would say "don't be embarrassed." I think many of the posters here started out as viewers of the show. I know I did. I thought the little babies were adorable, thought Jon was a doofus but a nice man, and certainly a very involved father. At first bought into Kate's schtick as a harried mom of 8 but I didn't like her choosing to swiffer her kitchen floor over spending time with her own children.
And the reason I ended up here and at other sites that were beginning to question Kate's behavior, is that I began to see red flags all over the place. What mom of infants/toddlers sleeps in until 8:00 a.m.? Something didn't add up with that immediately. And each season brought more astounding behavior to light - screaming at your little boy because he got gum on his lovey? Telling your three sweet boys they can't eat the cupcake they made - on their own birthday????????????? Leaving your sick little boy on a concrete laundry room floor because you're more worried about a stupid comforter than him?????????????????????????
So yeah, I was a fan at the start but I soon began to question what was up with this woman, just like you did. I don't feel guilty, because I didn't know any better at first. Turns out TLC was making so much money on presenting viewers with a white-washed version of the truth, there was no way they would ever admit Kate was an abusive mom with some serious problems.
From this experience, I have stopped watching any reality shows that involve minor children. I did recently watch an episode of the Little Couple, but I will not be a regular viewer because they are allowing their minor kids lives to be filmed. And I had the unfortunate experience of clicking on the TLC channel the other night in the middle of a Honey Boo Boo episode. It was disgusting. They had a black light and were going around the house to look for stains. Sooooooooo disgusting. There is no amount of money that is worth making yourself look like a complete pig on TV.

Here is what changed for me when I became a parent. My dreams, my desires, my wishes for myself move to the end of the list. What moved to the top was what was best for my child. It was not always an easy adjustment. I missed out on one of my best friend's weddings because she had it up at Lake Tahoe and the morning I was going to leave for the wedding, my son developed an ear infection. I did shed some tears over that one - but my son needed me, not a babysitter, to be with him.
So that's how I view these parents - perhaps they ought to defer their dreams until their children are older. I think being a parent requires many sacrifices. Hopefully these parents learned a valuable lesson.

The reason many of us post here and have for a long time goes way beyond the fact that Kate "has exploited her kids." Take some time to read older posts and you might see why many of hold Kate in such low regard.
And as others have already pointed out - this blog focuses on the exploitation of the Gosselin children by (initially) both their parents, and now almost solely by their mother. While I'm sure other celeb moms are far from perfect, I don't have the time or interest in researching and discussing them. If I do get that interest, I'll go in search of blogs devoted to them.
That Radar story is true except for the neck. She has a very wrinkle neck for her age. Someone was talking about Kate's little eye the other day, and she had her eye lifted right after DWTS. Wasn't that when it was reported that she did not get the Covergirl Makeup job.
I have a friend who has an eye like Kate and wanted to fix it. The plastic surgeon told her it would not be perfect and would not be the same size as the other eye. She decided that she would not do it when he told her that the eye would stay half open when she slept. Now this was a while back so maybe they have perfected that. But that's why Kate doesn't cover that eye with her hair anymore. She has spent tons of money on her looks!!

I do have to comment on the family on the sailboat. I grew up near the water and have been friends with several families that raised kids on their boats. if they have sailed the Pacific before, and were prepared, its another adventure that family chose. its actually better to do this when kids are little and before they start school. the folks I knew stuck to the Caribbean and east coast intracoastal waterway. Pacific ocean is another kettle of fish, but if they are experienced its not an abusive choice. They did have a sat phone and they did call for help before it was a crisis.
Of course, the reason Kate looks so different in the "before" picture is all Jon's fault!

I happened to watch half of a new show called Celebrity Undercover. My daughter turned it on since we like Undercover Boss. It had Coco? who is Ice-T's wife and apparently has a show called The Peepshow in Vegas.They held fake auditions to be her body double with her in disguise. One woman had her body changed by plastic surgery to look as much like Coco, her heroine, as possible- it was so weird. I don't really know who Coco is, but she looked better in her undercover disguise than in real life- huge boobs and butt, blonde hair, big lips.
Needless to say we won't be watching again. There was an episode of this with Kim K coming up. No thanks.
I will concede that she had major makeup on, but yes, that does not explain the boobs. And there is no way you can get rid of those frown lines unless it is Botox.
Now Radar has a story that Brandi was reprimanded for her behavior and is cracking under the pressure of the show.
There is something going on with CA, don't you think, with the pap photos and Radar stories? I wonder if this is some grand scheme or just Kate and Brandi making sure they get their faces plastered on the internent.
I'm going to just say I think Kate looks pretty in that dress. I have to give credit where credit is due, she had to have worked darn hard to get in the shape she is in. She was never fat, but she has lost a lot of weight. I don't think she looks anorexic but she has definitely lost enough. But here's the thing, you can clean yourself up real nice on the outside and hide the rottenness inside. But that's just it, she doesn't even try to hide it. I wouldn't want to be within miles of her, ever. Her toxicity is too much for me. Those poor kids have no choice in the matter. She may be making herself relevant and piecing and patching a life while the whole world hates her or laughs at her, but I believe she is the most miserable person around.

I was waiting for that one! Oh. my. gosh. These sheeple are serious, aren't they? Once the stress from Jon was removed (when was that??!!) those lines just vanished. Amazing! I didn't realize those furrows were that bad. You could plant two rows of potatoes in there.

Molly I have said for ages that the celebrities call the paps. I work out where the Kardashians go and there are never any paps there, and Khloe has had her picture taken outside of Equinox many times.
I also saw Kourtney and Kendle have their picture taken at the Commons mall in Calabases. After the young guy ( pap) took the pictures Kourtney thanked him and said see you later! That night I saw the pictures on Celebrity Gossip.

Sorry. I have to disagree. Up close and personal, I have seen absolutely no difference in her right eye. It looks the same as it always has.
It's not a "little" eye. It's strabimus, which means that the eyes don't line up in the same direction. Hers is very minor. No amount of "lifting" is going to take care of it.

Just because you have to put off your dreams for a bit to raise your children doesn't mean that life is over. 23 years later, I now have a HUGE story to tell about the choices and the sacrifices I made for my kids and I know my children also have a story to tell about a mom who dropped everything to be there for them - through thick and thin, and now we are reaping the rewards of that choice and lack for nothing.

It's not a "little" eye. It's strabimus, which means that the eyes don't line up in the same direction. Hers is very minor.

I think she actually has ptosis, which is where the eyelid has a weakness in the muscles or sometimes a nerve issue which causes it to hang down. My niece and nephew have that and it was somewhat corrected when they were older. Sometimes it can't be corrected. Insurance considers it a cosmetic procedure unless it interferes with vision. It is almost always more noticeable when one is tired. It can also be indicative of other medical issues.
In any case, it's something she can't help.

When asked about having work done, Kate could be open about it like Cindy Crawford and admit to it. No, Cindy doesn't detail every procedure she's had done, but she is honest about maintaining and being proactive. It's the responsible thing to do as a public figure, to not mislead younger fans.
No one just naturally de-ages. No one grows full C small D breasts by losing weight and running. Deeply furrowed brows don't disappear just because you use Kiehl's products. Skin that has been severely damaged by excessive tanning bed use just doesn't smooth itself out. One's chin does not widen and become more prominent because you eat organic food.
Kate tries to deny her extensive plastic surgery, therefore the coven of sheep try to take her lead and also pretend that she's had no work done. When they carry on all day, like they did with the salad thing, they doth protest too much. One grown woman shouldn't need a flock of sheep to make daily excuses for her. PA Dutch Mom I call her eye little because one eye looks smaller than the other, I don't know the medical term. But it looks like my friend"s eye. The eyelid hangs lower then the other eye and it covers the pupil of the eye slightly and it can be fixed by lifting the eyelid. Maybe your right and she has something else, but she has had it fixed. You can tell and she hasn't covered her eye since DWTS . Take a look at old pictures and recent ones.

IIRC, she refinanced the $600,000+ balance on the house in to a 30 yr mortgage. This will cost her a fortune in interest in the long run, but perhaps she was advised not to be house rich and cash poor. Better to take her DWTS paycheck and her K+8 paychecks and invest them, rather than pay off the balance of a house she paid way too much for.

Not necessarily. The market is picking up. She could get more than $700,000 for that piece of property. Agreed. One time, many moons ago when her Philly pap was regularly tailing her, there was a picture of her with carmel highlighted hair. It was in soft waves. It was very flattering and age appropriate. Since Kate doesn't deal in either of those adjectives..... it didn't last very long. I half wondered if Jason went rogue and tried to steer her in a different direction.

I think Ivanka Trump is beautiful. I have been called a shoe whore by several family members and close friends but am not a fan of either of the shoes worn by Ivanka or TCFW. Also, TCFW's shoes are not appropriate with that outfit. My local TJMaxx carries Ivanka's shoes and all the ones I've seen there are very pretty and reasonably priced. Another observation is the hairdo worn by each of them. Ivanka's is pulled back into what looks like a chignon and TCFW's is just hanging there. Along with her head.
Kate's worked hard to take care of herself? How can they think this looks good? She looks sickly and her weight and skin and hair are alarming. She is a couple salads away from going down the Karen Carpenter route. She looked much healthier a few years ago, was at a healthy weight and had a healthy glow. She ruined herself.

I went to New York to meet my English Boyfriend and he surprised me with a dinner on a ship docked on the harbour, I think it was jersey way.

Ivanka is 32 years old. She always looks well put together and she seems to be more well spoken than her brothers. Her own wedding gown was beautiful and elegant. I can't picture her in the one Kate was wearing.
She is such a loving mother and when she sends instagrams of her children she always has a nice little explanation about the photo. I really like to watch her on CA. She is not one who suffers fools.

Ivanka is just nothing but class, which is surprising because I consider her father kind of down in the mud sometimes and her mother isn't much better.
She really brings grace to a rather silly, though addicting show. The original "eyes and ears," I think her name was Carol, was very similar. Ivanka could pass for some sort of princess of a remote Dutch isle or something.
All his kids really improved on their parents. They're bright and full of common sense too.

I know for sure they did it on Celebrity Apprentice UK. It was the final challenge!
From what I remember on Apprentice UK riverboat episode (scroll by if you don't want to be spoiled), they had one gel of a time getting rid of those cruise tickets.
Saira's team started out selling them for 20 pounds and there were no takers, they finally ended up selling them for 5 pounds. They were practically giving them away and neither team made very much of a profit, I think one team even lost money.
A common theme on almost all Apprentice episodes is difficulty in trying to get people to participate in their events. More often than not people just don't care, even if there are celebs there.

She had world famous doctors working on her case and went months and months while thy figured out what todo. Then one day she anonces it had been fixed with three surgeries....while never having mentioned them at the time and without any gap inn tweeting. I wouldn't worry too much that she's still around. It's also possible that Kate could just happen to be on the winning team more often. Many weaker players have snuck through by just pure luck being on the winning side often. She's been on teams with people I would expect to be strong players.
It's also possible those who are playing this game strategically are keeping her around a bit. She can be picked off later. Right now it's wise to target the stronger players to go if you can. As long as you can just stick her on a street corner somewhere out of the way, she's no worry to the team.
On a positive note, the more episodes she's on the more recaps I'll get to do!

Yep, another great example of what we were discussing earlier. Smart celebs/famous people learn how to keep at least a neutral expression on their face when around cameras or out in public. Kate doesn't seem to get this concept. Ivanka looks calm, perhaps a little pensive. But the expression is neutral, not negative.
On the other hand, Kate is caught looking bored and she has her hands clasped in an awkward way. And she really needs to do something about her hairstyle.

When Kate was pregnant, she understandably was huge. However, by the time TLC filmed the documentary, she looked back to normal size except for the stomach. I think she has some compulsion now to be ultra thin. If you have seen photos of her mother and sisters, they are overweight, but not by much. I think she looks in the mirror and is terrified of looking like them. She also used to get on a Jon about his weight (I've only seen a picture of one of his brothers and he is big) and she has projected this fear of fat onto the kids with all the portioned meals. There is nothing wrong with maintaining a healthy weight, but she has been disingenuous with the plastic surgeries and photoshopping. It is deceitful of her to let people think her look of "de-aging" is totally due to diet and exercise. There is no shame in getting plastic surgery, and as long as you keep it within reason, I do not understand her lies other than she thinks she is more clever than everyone else (except sheeple).

The CA's are for the show and not for TFW. Yes there are some leaks but just what they want you to know/see. We're really not hearing anything at all from civilians who have participated in the events. You can't lay this at TFW's feet. Anyone participating in any of the events has had to sign a CA. I'm sure once the show airs they'll be free to talk about what went on but by then no one will care.
I also stated on the previous page, that's not someone's foot in TFW's face it's the publicity picture they're using of Ivanka and TFW's head just happened to be I. A unfortunate position for the picture. Maybe it's karma telling her that she's about to be kicked to the curb.
TLC Stinks - I watch RHOBH and meltdowns are part of Brandi's shtick.
