The exploitation of the Irwin children began before they were born. He named Bindi after his favourite croc?

For the most part, people on twitter are realizing that she is a child, and keeping it civil. I wonder if this "child" will be able to withdraw or will the "suits" (including her mother) force her to continue.

AuntieAnn - I'm sure I can get you a spaceship recliner at the Salvation Army for cheap (free). All you need is imagination (begin humming any Disney tune). The original flight recliner was black leatherette...LOL

Ah, Bitchy Pants - I agree Steve Irwin was pure showman, as are his two children turning out to be. As ya'll know, I live about 1 mile from a supposed wonderful zoo. I have been there twice. I don't like them and circuses flat out scare me. I will concede that zoos do have some educational and research purposes, but putting animals on display is icky - to me. For goodness sake, a lion "habitat" a few feet from a state highway in the MidWest is never going to be the Serengeti.

I mean really, have you guys ever BEEN stuck in an aviary?

"I've got brand new books, I'm starting a TV series, so I'm really excited, definitely," he said. "We've always grown up around cameras and around animals, so we absolute love it. It's so good to be able to get our message across. It's great."

Oh, boy. Here we go again.

No way a 15 year old is emotionally equipped to deal with a PR crisis of this magnitude. I can't believe their first and last answer wasn't stay out of it. What were they thinking? She's 15!

They're probably dealing with Bindi through Terri so I guess we shouldn't expect anything other than this from a mom who has put her kids on exhibition since they were babies. This is a sad day for Bindi.

Capecodmama: That is is very creative of you to make curtains, using stitch witchery. I used that on one costume I made, it had a very long hem line, my mom, goes to me, use the stitch stuff. Man that was so quick! I love hearing any of you who have made stuff, can grow stuff, and can cook stuff.

Where oh where has spring gone?

I don't see anything wrong with the hat--it isn't anything special, and just about anyone can do it. I am glad to see that she is involved with one of the kids and their activity. Isn't that what many of have said we wanted?

Actually, obviously handmade clothes are very big right now. Now that technology has made perfection in reach for everyone, it is kind of nice to see. FAcebook and Twitter is full of these types of posts and pix.

To quote Joy Berhard, 'So what, who cares?"

You Travoltified her name!
Yeah, the hat's like any of Kate's homemade efforts- decent, not showing any insane amount of given talent. But, for this, so what, who cares?
She made something for one of the boys, which is nice.
You can always count on her making it public somehow to get pats on the back.

The point is that she had to tweet about it to show that she's such a good mom. Everything she's tweeting lately has to do with telling the Twitter world that she bends over backward for these kids, hoping the media will pick it up. This is, of course, has to do with the fact that Jon wants custody.

I have to agree with Ex Nurse on the whole hat issue. So what, who cares. Sadly some of us are just not crafty. I don't sew and I don't do crafts. I don't think the hat was that bad and if I made something like that I'd probably be proud of it. To criticize that she didn't cut perfectly round eyes is carrying it a bit too far. I shall join Bitchy Pants in that corner now.

I don't know I thought the hat was kind of cute. I'm not very crafty so couldn't do much better....

The hat is for a school program, isn't it? Not a loving act, a mandatory one! It's fine, but not tweet-worthy.

For one tweetie to be able to DM another tweetie, do both of them have to "follow" each other? I've never had Twitter, so I'm not sure how this works.

ConcernedChick said...

That hat was cute. My issue with the hat was the fact that it was mediocre. Kate bashed Jon for giving his kids a mediocre life yet I don't see her working her ass off to give them all those things she claimed they deserve on a silver platter. Kate is mediocre and I will take every opportunity to point that out, after the way she spoke about Jon and his mediocrity on national tv. Not to mention all the other "mediocre" parents she insulted.

But why tweet a picture of it? I think that's carrying a mediocre crafts project a bit too far.

Once again, TFW's biggest fan makes her hero look like a nincompoop
by reminding her about the time change. She's almost 40, and the mother of 8. Obviously the fan is just desperate for things to bring up, and is probably getting nervous about tonight's CT finale. What "mess" will Ms. Positivity have to help TFW clean up this time?
