It's official. The judge signed the dismissal order on Wednesday. All other parties named in the lawsuit are exempt from this dismissal.

Another question-- can you "board" a bird? Are there many places that do this? Or, do you get in-home care or trust them to a family member or neighbor?
Thanks!

&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Yes, there are some vets who will board a bird. Depending on the bird, though, it's not a good idea. Birds are territorial and like to stay in their own environment. Even then, depending on the bird's personality, any separation from the family can cause anxiety. A friend of mine had a Moluccan cockatoo (a screamer)...a large bird, who was very family-oriented, and a sensitive bird. The family went on vacation for two weeks and someone came in and cared for her while they were gone. The bird missed the family so much that by the time they got home, she had plucked nearly all of her feathers and looked like a bald pink chicken.

Joy -- Bill is scheduled at the local performing arts center here in April. I had never heard of him before DWTS, but he seems like such a nice guy. I'm going to the show to see what kind of a performance he puts on.

She's all gaga for the new pet now, give it time...
Remember she RACED the kids to the dog pen and SHE picked the puppies first. SHE named them? And what? That EVENING she's already bitching about them peeing on the carpet and that the kids weren't doing their job. At dinner, the kids, in unison (gag) thank her. She barks "YOUR NOT WELCOME". It's just like her having the tups. She liked when they were her little dolls. When it came down to the real DIRTY part of raising children, she pawned it off to someone else, she smacked the crap out of them, verbally and emotionally still abuses them, basically left them, days, weeks on end and STILL HAD THE GALL TO COMPLAIN. Lather rinse repeat.

My opinion, she is giving up Shoka and the meeting with his "brother" is to see if they get along. She is getting a parrot to cover the guilt. All too much of a coincidence.

Crazy Cat Lady -- I agree that it isn't an inherently bad idea to gift a puppy or a kitten for Christmas or any other holiday. I used to breed cats. When parents would get in touch with me about getting a kitten for their child for a holiday gift, I'd urge them to come see the kittens I had available. If they decided that they wanted one of my kittens, I'd fix up a little gift basket with a kitty bed, a few toys, a picture of the available kittens (and a copy of my sales contract for the parents) and have them gift the basket, then come back with the child after the holidays to pick out the kitten. I wanted to see the child interact with them before I let one of my babies go to a forever home. Not all kittens/pups are compatible with a particular child. You need to fit the kid's personality with the pet. The biggest knock on giving a pet as a gift is that the holidays are so chaotic in some homes that it's a terrible way to introduce a new animal and help them make the adjustment to a new home.

TFMJG does not need another living creature in that house of hers (I refuse to call it a home. There's nothing homelike about it). Especially a parrot that will require a lot of care, attention, and interaction. She can't take proper care of the animals she already has (or her children, for that matter).

Also, 'SOME' seem to have a lot of tattoos $$$(sleeves and whole back/body) WHO pays for all this???

Because I value this blog so much as just about the only place online where people can have reasonable discussions about the Gosselin saga, I purposely stay away from discussions involving politics, social viewpoints, and other hot button topics. There are so many other places online where I can share my views and know that the conversations will get heated, am prepared for name-calling and foul language, etc.

If this were another blog or website, I might respond to your comment with a different point of view. My remarks might then stir up further remarks from others, and it could turn unpleasant.

Not telling you or anyone else what to say or where to say it -- only that I'm well aware that posters here come from all sorts of political and sociological backgrounds, with a whole variety of strongly held opinions, and those conversations can often get quite heated. Do we really want to go there, over a discussion on how we view people who access the social safety net?

"We all enjoy praise and admiration on occasion, but narcissists don’t enjoy occasional admiration- they crave admiration all the time (as can be had through status, power and money) almost like an addiction. To obtain the status that they seek, they will exaggerate or misrepresent their talents and accomplishments. They may even lie and cheat in order to get promotions, win races, or seduce people.

Narcissists are preoccupied with self-aggrandizement to sharpen public opinion of their image. They fantasize about, and seek out, power, fame, status and money; they are envious of others who have plenty of these resources.To him, money is the ultimate love substitute.
Secondly, his grandiose thinking leads him to believe that he should have, or does have, more money than he actually possesses. This leads to reckless spending, to pathological gambling, to substance abuse, or to compulsive shopping.

Narcissists engage in magical thinking which leads to irresponsible, shortsighted behavior for which they believe they are immune from the results of that behavior. They descend into debt, commit financial crimes, and hassle people- including their closest relatives.
Furthermore, their fantasies lead them to believe in their fabricated financial “facts” which are not commensurate with their talents, qualifications, jobs, and resources. They pretend to be richer than they are or pretend to be capable of becoming rich if they so desire. They are greedy but have an ambivalent, love-hate relationship with money. They can be mean, stingy, and calculating with their own money yet an eager spendthrift with other people’s money. They live lavishly and often well above their means. It is not uncommon for narcissists to go bankrupt and ruin their businesses.

Lastly, reality is distorted and does not match their grandiose fantasies. Nowhere is the grandiosity gap more evident than where money is involved.

We all have desires that we may obsess about: expensive clothes, sex, gourmet food, or exquisite jewelry. Many narcissists are obsessed with money. They think about how much money they have, how to get more of it, how to keep it away from others, and whom to manipulate to get more- including how to take family members money/inheritance. Money is their substitution for love, warmth, and affection. Having as much money as possible, even stealing it away from family members, is the narcissist’s unwavering goal. Thoughts about obtaining more money are always on the narcissist’s mind. Having an abundance of money makes them feel more entitled and superior to others.

Moneyed narcissists are always looking down on the working class. They don’t seek knowledge, wisdom, inner peace or insight. They seek to achieve their greatest goal-being able to have whatever they desire as well as attracting other people whom they can easily exploit to satisfy their money cravings. A too common situation is for a narcissistic sibling, male or female, to ingratiate the mother or father who is holding the wealth- to become their confidante, their favored and trusted one. This is done over many years and is a well planned scheme.
Narcissists use money to help them feel special and superior to others. Status items such as designer clothes, luxury cars, upscale homes, dinners and trips are essential ways through which a narcissist can enhance his ego. Spending money when you have it, is one thing; spending money when you don’t have it, is quite another. A narcissist believes that he is entitled to the best, even if he does not have the money to afford it. He easily fools himself into believing that the money will be there in the future, even if it’s not there right now."

Vanessa @116,

Well that disproves anyone who says that TFW "absolved" Jon of child support payments. Not willingly, not for a trade for filming, nothing. I would think she would see those payments as punishment for him leaving her and ending their tv run together. He would have to take her to court and PROVE he saw the kids more often than the court order, and PROVE that he deserves a court order for more custody time. I don't think there's anyway she would give up either the kids or potential income willingly. She sees the kids as her money makers.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

We keep our house fairly cool in the winter to save energy and on the heating bills (and I can't live in a hot house), but our bird has his own little space heater that keeps him toasty at night. He's happy. When he's out of his cage during the day he doesn't seem to mind it if the room temperature isn't hot. Parrots can adapt, to a cooler environment even though they are tropical birds. But you can't throw a window open in the dead of winter and expect the bird not to feel the effects from a blast of cold air.
Kate has no idea what she has gotten herself into. That bird will be gone by Easter.

Agreed with your comment! I rolled my eyes when I first saw the commercials for this show years ago, then I happened to watch one episode and got hooked. Although their family life does not resemble mine in most ways, the truth that shined through was that there was love in that household, love and acceptance. And that no matter what, they were there for each other. Sharon is the rock of that family and I don't think her children or her husband have ever doubted that she loves them fiercely, protectively and unconditionally.

I think Sharon was on The Ellen Show a few years back, and for some reason Ellen was showing her pictures of various celebrities for her to comment on. Kate's picture was shown and Sharon made a face and I believe tossed the picture aside. LOL.

I'd say there's no hard and fast rule, because it really depends on the law firms/attorneys involved. Just like the general population, you have some attorneys who procrastinate on everything. Everything is always done on a last minute basis.

Other attorneys like to be prepared, have things taken care of on time.

Other attorneys have good support staff to make sure things are calendared properly and taken care off before it becomes a last minute problem.

In this case, I can't tell if TFW's attorneys are procrastinators. The timing is part of the problem - it's Thanksgiving week. One or both of the attorneys could be on vacation, or perhaps they have staff on vacation this week. They could also still be trying to settle things behind the scenes. So many factors, that it's hard to tell the exact reason for waiting til the last minute to do something.
Thoughts?

WOS has no clue what she is getting in to. Conure beaks are sharp and they hurt! I'd rather be bit by my Greys than a conure and their beaks are huge in comparison.

------------------

I've been bitten by so many species of parrots, and you're right, a conure bite is nasty. Conures are unpredictable. They can be loving and affectionate one minute, and turn on you the next. Kate doesn't know that bird and the bird doesn't know them. That's why I am so concerned that Kate and the kids are letting that bird ride around on their shoulders. Amazons, too, can do some serious damage, but the worst bite I ever got was from a Greenwing Macaw (the pirate's parrot). He got me in the arm, and I spurted blood, dripping a nice long trail until I could get pieced and patched.

Why in the heck did she get a bird? She just doesn't seem like a bird person considering that birds require a lot of care, affection, socialization...not to mention the mess they make.

And seriously, if you are looking for a pet for your 8! kids I don't think a bird is the most logical fit in a busy, loud & crazy household. Get a freaking cat where you can cuddle with, small dog or even a bunny. Those kids will loose attention for that bird real fast, it sits on your shoulder but you cant cuddle or hug it. Reading from bottom, just wanted to wish those in the U.S a Happy Thanksgiving this Thursday, and hope the weather doesn't ruin many of you who are travelling. We had ours last month, we traveled to Regina to be with our daughters and grandkids, a trip just over 2 hours. We got back home, and just as we were parking in the driveway, a tire fell off the jeep! Someone up there is keeping an eye on us, if it had happened on the highway, we could have killed someone, or injured ourselves badly. Always check the lug nuts before you leave your house!
My husband married me when I was 19 and he was 31, and had our honeymoon driving across the U.S, until we got to Seattle. I bought a beautiful calendar at a store beside the ocean, near our hotel, called the Edgewater, right on the water. Then when Fall came along, after we were nearly finished harvest that first year of marriage, people began talking about Thanksgiving. I thought it was a little early for Thanksgiving planning because MY CALENDER said it was next month, in November! Boy, was my face ever red, for a very long time!!!

Suzy, I think you must have mis-read/misunderstood my post.
I was responding to someone who said:
She post a picture of the bird on her shoulder that she could have taken in the pet store. Why not post pictures of the kids looking at the bird or holding the bird?

I meant in my response that she posted a pic of herself with the bird (and not a pic of the kids with the bird) was because this is all about her.

I did NOT mean that she *should* have posted a pic of the kids with the bird. And I don't think the original poster meant that a pic of the kids should have been posted either.
Personally I wish she would stop posting pics of anything to do with her family and let them retreat to a private life.

IMO, the OP's point was that TFW posted a pic of herself, because we all know that everyone was just a-waitin' to see a pic of TFW with the new purchase. And I was agreeing with him/her.

I am in total agreement that those poor kids deserve their privacy, and have always deserved their privacy; that has been my stance from day one.

Thanks,
Mel

What's bad this time is that involves another living being. She'll play with it for a while until she's done...on to the next thing. In the meantime someone has to take care of the bird. Calling the Nanny or one of the children to do it because Kate won't do it, she can't be bothered..

Kate has the attention span of a nat. Whatever pops into her head or catches her eye or someone else has, she wants. Doesn't matter if should have it or needs it. She plays with it for a short period then on to the next thing.

As a responsible pet owner this just makes me angry. Don't adopt or buy any pet unless you understand the pet's traits or think long term how an addition to the family structure will work. Stop and think before getting a pet.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Shoka kill some chickens at one time? He hunts, kills, and eats small animals. If this bird is ever out of its cage, then TFW better make sure Shoka isn't in the house at the same time. If he is, then bye bye birdie.

I saw a story today about a tiger at Steve Irwin's zoo biting a trainer in the neck. The trainer was airlifted out with puncture wounds to his neck from the tiger's teeth. It is appalling that Terri puts her kids out there, has them interacting with dangerous creatures at the zoo, to entertain the masses. What if that had been Bindi or Robert? These fame-obsessed mothers have no regard for their children's well-being, no protective instinct, when it comes to getting attention and money from the public. Sickening.

Yes, Shoka has killed chickens.
I feel strongly that Kate should never get a bird, or a small dog, or a cat while Shoka is on the property.
Shoka is probably a lovely dog, and so was Nala, according to Robert, but some dogs hunt prey and kill, and that's just that.
I too also saw the article about the Irwin's zoo tiger attacking his trainer. I found the photos of Kate posing with a tiger at the zoo very disturbing, as well as the photos of all the kids with an elephant.
Wild animals are just that, and it's not a matter of if someone will be attacked, but when.

Their parents are fair game. The children are not.

My dogs have never bothered with the bird, but of course they are small lap dogs and are not aggressive and have never killed anything or anyone! They are actually kind of afraid of the bird, although they do come running when the bird asks if they want to go outside.

Kate doesn't know this, but birds are pretty darn smart and can open their cage door and the doors to their food dishes. They can pick locks. I hope she doesn't come home one day to find the bird has done just that, and Shoka is in the house. That will be the end (literally) of the bird.

Mel and Suzy,
I am the original poster. I am sorry I didn't make myself clear in my post. I did not mean that Kate should post pictures of the children with the bird. My point was that in the past to "prove" she had gotten something (expensive meat slicer) or spent time doing something (baking millions of cookies) she has always posted a picture in her home or with the children involved. The pictures were obviously in her home so they were easily verified that yes, she did this or bought that. My point in my post was that I think Kate had that picture taken at the pet store and made a post about it. I do not think she bought the bird. Her usual smoke and screen. Does that clarify things? I especially do not need to see pictures of those precious children.
As a side not, having had infertility issues and then blessed twice with children I cannot wrap my mind around the way she treats the children. I would die (as I am sure everyone with children that post here) for my children.

I'd love to see her go on a morning show now, and answer questions regarding dropping the lawsuit and the current one with an author wanting to out her journal.
WOS is at the end of the road. And everyone called it, she would hang herself. And she did that 'dark and stormy night' by throwing her journal in a trash heap.

On another subject, wonder who has the kiddos for the holiday? If it's WOS, there will be no other family there, no aunts, uncles, cousins. That's really sad. If they are with their father,maybe it will be different..maybe WOS purchased the bird so she'd have someone to talk to. LOL

I'm not sure that it was one blog in particular that targeted Mady when she was very young, rather, what I noted YEARS ago was that you could Google Mady Gosselin and it would autofill with 'b*tch' and 'brat'.
Awful.
I place the blame squarely on Jon+Kate for that. TLC production makes story arcs for each episode. The 'cast' of reality tv shows are characters and there are good guys and bad guys, protagonists and antagonists and most of all conflict and resolution.
From reading Robert's book, it appears Kate (and Jon?) were able to view the episodes before airing (and give feedback/request a change), so how Mady was portrayed was given the stamp of approval by her mother, at least.
When changes were requested, according to emails in the book, Jen took the concerns to Julie, and they capitulated.

I've thought for some time that she followed their teachings. She was constantly using the word "obey" to her kids which I found odd.

The book "To Train Up a Child" has been embraced by many fundamentalist Christian parents. It advocates raising children to obey without question, through spankings that begin when they are babies.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

YES! I'm not sure i ever once mentioned this, but I always found the way she constantly ordered the kids to "obey" was such a cold and dicatatorship-like way to talk to them. They are three year olds, not soldiers in Hitler's youth. There are so many other nicer ways to say the same thing. Things like, Please listen to Mommy. Please do what Mommy asks you to do. Please behave yourself. Mind your p's and q's.

OBEY is just so firm and cold. Her relation to these children has always rung very odd.

Rhymes with witch: Apology accepted. Another post & I and several others, were tryin to figure out why any parent would keep a kid home, when they are going to be off for 4 days of school. And what are parents did with us. We all know Kate would pull her kids out of school in a minute to do any TV or filming. She could care less if they get educated. Cause if she did, knowing the kids were born early, and as we all know, children born too early are behind, Kate could have hired, people or put the kids in a program, to get them caught up. Kate didn't cause, being on TV was more important, that is why the kids are 9 and in 3rd grade, instead of being 9 in 4th grade. I do agree that they do need their privacy, and Kate then needs to shut up about them period. As to the one that is home, any child can say I don't feel good and stay home. They might not want to go to school, because, of a test, or other kids teasing them. And with kates 8, I would not be surprised if that were the case. Every time Kate does some goofy thing,or says something odd, the kids pay for it at school. They get teased. The school can stand on it's head, make new rules,and it will still happen. That is what Jon said, is going on.

As for being isolated, they are. They live far from their friends. And what we know of Kate, Kate probably picks their friends. Look how many kids came to their birthday parties, over the years. Was the whole class invited? No, just a few kids. At their school, the max number of kids per class is 13-15, per teacher. These are small classes. When I went to school we had 30-40 kids per teacher. Big difference. Kate is a control freak, just short of being a helicopter parent. Plus, I would not be surprise if anyone that comes into that house, be it child or adult, has to sign a discloser paper, or whatever it is called, after all can't tell anyone what went on in that house. Also, yes the kids are at school, it's probably the best place for them, but, when Kate thinks it's a good idea to spy on, critize and tattle on one another, don't you think that carries over to school. I would not want to hang around with the class tattle-tale. The fighting did. I would not be surprised if Kate gets called once a month to school for one of the kids fighting.

Well, I have to get off, do some shopping, before it becomes a zoo, out there.

EVERYONE: HAVE A NICE & SAFE & HAPPY
THANKSGIVING!

To Raise up A Child has been discussed here before. This is just one more example of people using God's name to justify, sanitize and cover up a crime. This book has been discussed here before, due to the many similarities between it's message and Kate's discipline methods.

Lisa Whelchel's (Blair from Facts of Life) book focuses on humiliation punishment, like blindfolding a child for an hour if she rolls her eyes or making kids eat dinner with boxing gloves on. Books like this should just be called "How to Reserve a Lifetime Therapy Appointment for Your Child." Sick, sick, sick, sick.

Joy, I enjoy watching Jack, too.
Almost inexplicably, I was really into watching The Osbournes.
I don't know if there is a more dysfunctional family on tv! But their dysfunction had nothing to do with disrespect or not loving one another dearly, as we saw with Kate's shows.
The O's desperately love each other and while Jack and Kelly showed major signs of drug and entitlement problems, somehow, they've turned into exceptional adults who are clearly talented.
I remember watching a special that Jack did shortly after their reality tv show ended. Jack had become an addict, was fat, out of shape and headed for trouble when he got his act together.
Jack's show was about him taking on extremely difficult physical challenges around the globe, and ended with him climbing El Capitan, so he's no stranger to taking on challenges.
Anyway, there's something endearing about this addiction-addled family and then there's Jon and Kate, who burst onto the scene as rather milquetoast Christians and guess who I like a whole lot more?
Yes, give me Ozzie and his brood any day.

I recall an episode where ozzy's birthday was to be celebrated in a hotel restaurant. The kids and the mom are upstairs in a room and have asked for a large sheet of tin foil to be sent up so jack could gift wrap a stack of cds for a his dad. They are running late and it seems even the camera guy is trying to walk ahead and leave the room in an effort to hurry them out of the room.

When a hotel worker brings the large sheet of tin foil to the door, Kelly, Jack and Sharon are all ignoring the cameras and are all thanking the hotel worker. They are practically speaking at the same time when then thank him.

It says a lot about the way you treat employees, service employees, waiters, doormen, hotel employees, tour guides, housekeepers.

And her own daughter "learned to associate the STICK with the stairs." Ugh. The self-righteousness is appalling. I, too, thought of Kate when I read about the Pearls and the wooden spoon.

My kids were well behaved because (I think) they respected us. They have never feared my husband and me. FEAR isn't love or respect.

~~~~~
"Do you like it when someone pulls your hair? No you don't. It is the same when a baby does it and the child can be taught not to. No, the baby does not do it intentionally but when they continue to do so they must be redirected and a little smack teaches them not to do so. They learn that the training swat goes hand in hand with the fact that they touched that wirey stuff on a persons face or head, the hair. It feels very different from skin and they learn that difference and learn to associate that difference with a stinging from the little swat, hence they learn not to touch the hair. The same goes for little ***. She learned to associate the stick with the stairs and a slight stinging sensation."
I'm not much of a bird person. I should say, I'm not crazy about having a bird as a pet. I guess what grosses me out about birds is their bathroom habits. They will go anywhere, anyhow, no matter where they are (indoors or outdoors), whether they are sitting on someone's shoulder or sitting on a tree branch.
For me, give me a big fluffy dog or a kitty. I just never had any affection for birds as pets. However, I do love to watch birds in the wild, especially hummingbirds and cardinals (we put up feeders every spring for the little guys).
But this is what I find surprsing about "Neat Freak Kate", that she would have a bird, outside of it's cage considering that they are rarely litterbox trained.
I have no idea what her motives are here, but I can guess. And this would be CLASSIC obsessed parental alienator behavior. The other parent is never allowed to have their visitation time free of manipulation and influence. They are never allowed to just have a great visit with Mom's blessing and see you when it's over. The parental alienator always must do SOMETHING to try to interfere with that, and it can be simple as buying something fun and exciting to draw the kids back home early. Again it's not Christmas yet, it's not Thanksgiving. Why get this NOW? Just in time for Jon's Thanksgiving visit? Hmm.
I can only speak for state court but it really depends. Sometimes if you know you'll need an extension and ask for it early, you will have the judge say well who knows where you will be at on the 27th let's wait until then before I decide to grant this and you let me know where you stand then. So some just want to see where you're at on the due date. Others appreciate more warning especially other counsel. She co-authored a book called "Shepherding a Child's Heart", which does recommend spanking in certain situations. It is not the same book as To Train Up a Child. This is not to say she didn't recommend the book, but I don't think she did.
As a side note, I do not mean to get into a debate of spanking vs. not spanking. I'm just saying there's spanking which is a hot button debatable issue, and there's clear child abuse. Candace Cameron has never advocated child abuse.
From what I've read, that book and the Pearls are vile. There have been deaths of children attributed to the methods outlined in that book. It's basically a "how to" book for cruel and unusual punishment of children.
I find Kate reprehensible in so many ways, but the Pearls actually are worse.
Yes agree some are undoubtedly procrastinating but often extensions are for very good strategic reason. For instance a client might want time to make decisions or find evidence or talk things over, or they might be trying to drag things out to wear the other party down.
So in the case of asking for say a 7 day extension if you ask for it on the last day you would get 7 days from then. But if you ask for it a few days before they might start counting the 7 days from then. So in that sense it's a good idea to wait until 4:15 on the last day of filing to ask for an extension.
The Osbornes were better parents than I thought. They may be different but they listened to their children and supported them and treated them with respect. Their kids clearly adore them in return. And they respected Amy's decision not to go on T.V.
********
I didn't even know they had a sister, Amy, until either the end of the show or sometime after the show.
I can not remember her even being mentioned.
Another big difference between Kate and Sharon/Ozzie.
Kate has always maintained that in ANYONE did not want to film, they wouldn't. But I've seen the contract and I've read what Kate obligated those children to in the contract, and it's nothing short of child labor.
By Kate's own account, on the Wendy Williams show, the children all wondered if they could still live in their home and go to their school if they didn't film.
How the hell are 7 year olds even aware of the finances?
Because Kate's told them that the show is their life and their life is the show.
I've always found that mantra rather disturbing, but Kate seemed to wear it as a badge of honor.
Kate, by saying Hannah had nothing contagious, was letting us know two things: She was telling us that: 1.) she is a responsible pet owner by determining that what Hannah has is not "catchable" by the bird, and 2.) that she is an ignorant pet owner because only very, very few human illnesses are transmittable to a bird--colds and flu not being among them.
And did anyone else have a "What the hay" moment last night on Dancing With The Stars when the cameras panned across Kendra in the audience? I even had to do that instant rewind to make sure it wasn't Kate. Kate has definitely achieved genericity (genericness?? a state of looking way too much like a bunch of other people anyway!)
Silence on the Hoffman petition to dismiss. Guessing that Kate dragged this out, but my guess is that the attorneys filed to dismiss. Time shall tell.
It is funny to me to read the debate about the word "obey". I use it with my children. Although, I have explained to them what it means. I didn't grow up with parents who used that word though so I have no idea why I started :)
I guess most words can be harsh when not taught with kind, gentle words in a loving environment such as mine (not to brag but I am NOTHING like TFW!)
I remember the episode of TFW and when they brought home the two dogs. And she made the biggest deal when one of the pups peed on their basement rug. She was ready to send them back. I can only imagine how she would act if the bird pooped. And it will happen!
Perhaps this was already metioned. When I read the article about how to 'train up' a child, it instantly reminded me of when Kate told Jon to 'happy up' Mady. I always felt like that meant to smack her into submission.
Things that happen on Fridays or just before a long weekend tend to not get much press coverage. Mondays are the best days to make announcements if you want your story all over the news. Filing this lawsuit on a Monday was no accident. It didn't work because the mainstream press doesn't care, but it was no accident.
I didn't know they had a sister either until Amy showed up on 20 20 talking about how respectful her parents were of her being off tv. I believe she talked about her desire to make it on her own without a show like that. Her parents gave her her space to do that.
Well there blows the Jon agreed to testify against Robert theory out of the water.
We called it, she was just working on the dismissal terms probably didn't want to give up with prejudice to Robert too but probably finally has to resign herself to giving in.
Bottom line she thought she would huff and puff and blow their house down because at the end of the day the biggest bully is her. And when Robert and Jon finally said enough is enough and blew back with hurricane force winds, she ran away crying like a little girl. Because at the end of the day most bullies are cowards.
Congrats Robert and Jon as well.
willowmom said...
Rhymes....Entire lawsuit has been dismissed, Does too, without prejudice (which means she could sue again for some other reason).
Layla said...
Voluntary Dismissal? Is this for sure? I wonder how that Ziggy sheep is going to spin this. She insisted that Jon got TFW to drop the charges by agreeing to roll over on Hoffman. But if TFW dismisses the charges against Hoffman...hmmm, maybe she'll claim that Robert agreed to roll over on the unnamed Does?
No wonder TFW is being so chipper on Twitter. Buying this bird was another of her classic deflection techniques. Pay no attention to that pesky lawsuit! Look at my pretty new bird instead! She'll be spewing cute kids sayings and bird stories until this lawsuit story blows over.
How long until Robert re-publishes?
Anonymous said...
And right before a long-weekend. Called it.
Does too, without prejudice (which means she could sue again for some other reason).
$$$$
The does being without prejudice makes perfect sense. Robert and Jon don't care if she wants to keep that option, it doesn't affect them. How will the sheeple spin this? They can't say anyone did it in exchange for testimony, they can't say this was for the kids because Robert is not their father and if she were concerned about the kids she never would have filed in the first place.
I can't wait to hear this. I hope they're not busy making pies too. I just did a Sam's Club run and now I'm available to hear this, spin away!
Kate? What a massive, massive mistake and waste of money. But for the sake of your precious children, thank God it's over. So who put you up to this and are you upset at them? Perhaps you should direct your anger toward them.
Hahaha, someone posted a link to this blog on TFW's twitter, and mentioned the lawsuit. Then someone else mentioned the dismissal. You know the sheep are all flocking here to see what's going on. Sad that they have to get their information from someone here because their queen won't tell them what's going on. And they're not smart enough to figure out where to get the information themselves.
Why did she back down? I think she finally ran into the trifecta of no substance, too much money and attorneys who were not interested in either losing or not getting paid. Perhaps they sensed her lack of interest in paying them. LOL
So thus the bird - the perfect (not) cover for things not going her way. And in her warped little mind, cheaper than a new car. So sure spend 1K on a parrot, just in time to make the children feel sad about going to Dad's for the holiday. Interesting that she has nothing to say about all the friends coming to join them for turkey and pie.
Pretty ready here, after a few weeks of shopping and prepping, and cooking the past few days. Last project is DH and his pumpkin pies tonight. Going to join family at the beach for dinner tomorrow, actually not unhappy to not be hosting this year. New traditions, which is the blessing of having extended family and friends. But it is also the reward of cultivating these relationships over a lifetime, this is what Kate fails to understand and the gift she is NOT giving her children. There is no easy fix, no easy out, no easy $$$.
I agree, Cheri! Especially several children have died due to the trainings. Michael Pearl is a demon from HADES!!! Anyone who would promote the hitting of a infant on their skin with plastic tubing or a wooden spoon is hideously insane.
This is not normal. We all know that! When we read what kate did to Joel, pulling him up by the hair of his 2 year old head into his crib and beaten with the wooden spoon into the crib. You don't treat your babies and children like animals. That book should be banned. Isn't the publisher afraid of repercussions of the recent deaths this teaching has caused?
I read some of what Robert put up and I was getting sick. I couldn't read anymore.
