Kate runs 7.1 mile race in Connecticut in 1:08:48

Kate was spotted with Rod Dixon running in Sunday's race, which included the famous Gallow's Hill.

Kate tweeted: Btw,my unofficial X 4 10K=1:08:48..a bit slow but am still recovering from 1/2 marathon last wk..would've run slower but Rod encour me thru!

Meanwhile, the acclaimed local newspaper The Reading Eagle, which has been on to the Gosselin scam for years, has a fantastic article about the increasingly accepted notion we have often discussed here, parental alienation. Here is an excerpt:

Dawn Palange is a partner with Palange & Endres P.C. and chairwoman of the Family Law Section of the Berks County Bar Association. During 23 years of practicing law Palange said she has seen many cases of parental alienation, sometimes called parental alienation syndrome, and she believes it is becoming increasingly common.

"For some reason there seems to be more animosity between divorcing couples than there used to be," Palange said.

Parental alienation, which Palange described as "a parent acting in a way that's intended to turn a child away from the other parent," is a situation that hurts everyone involved. Once instituted, she said, it can cause lifelong emotional scarring.

"I know young people in their late 20s who are victims of parental alienation, and I've seen some of the baggage they're carrying because of it," Palange said. "It's not a good situation at all."

That baggage, experts say, can include damaged self-esteem, depression, an inability to achieve healthy relationships, a lack of trust, substance abuse problems, increased divorce rates and an inability to develop good relationships with their own children.

Dr. Larry Rotenberg, a Reading Hospital forensic psychiatrist, said that a parent who engages in parental alienation to the point that it destroys his or her own child's relationship with the other parent has lost sight of the damage his or her actions are causing.

"The eagerness to combat the other parent exceeds all other motivation and blinds them to seeing the harm they're causing to their child," Rotenberg said.

Frank put it another way when talking about his ex-wife. "She hates me more than she loves her children," he said.

Robert M. Gordon, an Allentown psychoanalyst and forensic psychologist who has conducted extensive research on parental alienation, said that people who practice parental alienation suffer from borderline personality disorder (BPD), a serious mental disorder.

Admin, I was thinking the same thing...someone has told her to advertise her events, and then thank people afterwards. Not her usual M.O. So you just know she is following someones advise. It seems to have changed in the last few weeks.

Sure looks like she is trying to re-brand herself into a runners world. I knew she had connected with Rod Dixon in LA. With her low bib number, doesnt that mean she registered quite early?

Admin-it wasn't a 10K. The race was 7.1 miles-a 10 K is 6.2 miles.

Aw, no 8 minutes per a mile this time? And of course, she uses SD as an excuse. Wonder if Rod held her hand?

And it wasn't a 10K. A 10K is 6.2 miles, this race was 7.1 miles. But don't tell her, it makes her time look worse.

I don't know about NPD, but I've had first hand experience with parental alienation. When my parents got divorced, my sisters were 5 & 7, I was almost 19, my younger brother was 17. My mother actually said to all of us that if we love her, we will not have anything to do with our father. If we love our father, that means we hate her and hopes she dies in a car crash. I am not exagerating, this is what she said to us. When I stood up and told her that wasn't fair because the divorce was between her and Dad, and shame on her for making 2 little girls choose, she attacked me. It was just another indicident in our poor and dysfunctional relationship.

Although my father had visitation rights, he stopped seeing my sisters. When he did drop them off after visits, my mother grilled about whether they had a good time and if they said yes, they were spanked and punished. Therefore, my father chose not to see them anymore to prevent the physical abuse. I told him that was the wrong decision; he should hire an attorney and take this to court. He said he didn't want to put the girls through more of the fighting. In the end, I thought he didn't love them enough to fight for them, and that's how they saw it as well.

Bottom line, neither my mother or my father loved their children more than they hated each other and loved their own "single" lives.

wow, Love My Grandsons! That's a really sad story. You must have a strong character to have recognized that so young and to grow up into an insightful loving adult. I have a feeling that is what might go one in the G household- grilled at the door after Jon's time, punished or given the cold shoulder if the kids enjoyed the time. I have an inkling Mady might be agreeing with Kate atm thus all the buddy-buddy stuff and praise.

Kate is a twit said...

Kate probably called it a 10K so she would sound oh so "runnerish".

By doing that, she makes her minutes per a mile even higher.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

LovemyGrandsons, one of the only good things about parental alienation is that people are starting to accept the concept.

I literally barely heard it when I first started five years ago, now I hear the term on an almost daily basis and I've seen moms lose their kids left and right (frankly it's usually moms I see doing it) over their parental alienation BS they try to pull. It's becoming generally accepted in CA family court it exists and that something should be done about it. I'm hoping this is a trend around the country. It's a great sign a paper like Reading Eagle does an article that starts right off accepting that this is a real thing and a real problem, without question.

Admin, I'm glad to know that parental alientation is finally being recognized. It does cause severe emotional and psychological problems for the children that are forced to experience it. If marriages have to end, I pray the parents truly think of the best interest of their child(ren), and not "getting even".

I think Kate would have kept the failing marriage going for the show's sake,as she had done for a while, but Jon finally had enough gumption to stand up for himself. As a parent, I would NOT let my child be friends with an adult on social media...there's almost always a motive that benefits the adult, imo.

Looks that little routine has changed-or does she now like being sent "over the edge"?

And she never hesitated to scream at him in front of the kids while they were still married. It's all there on video so she can't deny it. If she did that while filming I can imagine the knock down drag 'em out fights they had off camera.

Ex Nurse said...

Bringing over from the other thread:

I haven't caught up on all of the posts, but have watched the youtube videos. Wow--it was worse than I could have imagined. Her constant gum-chewing just makes her look stupid. I'm guessing that she bribed the kids with the rare treat of gum chewing, and they are emulating her open-mouthed chewing.

Seeing all of the kids that were participating with their classmates and friends only highlighted how very isolated these are--and from their expressions, at least some are aware of that fact.

Most kids would be embarrassed, if not mortified, to have to run in formation with Mommy and her constant companion. Those kids had no business being there, except to try to keep their pathetic mother relevant. They weren't prepared for the physical challenge and couldn't (and shouldn't) have been emotionally prepared to be put on display.

Watching that video and imagining her crazy fans coming to gawk at them is sickening. I wish that we had been a little easier on her for some of the other things she has done, because this is so horrific and despicable, that it is hard to find words that are extreme enough to describe how damaging this was.

Many of years ago, another mom brought a puppy that was in training to be a seeing-eye dog to our daughter's softball game. He was being trained to ignore his surroundings, and so was not allowed to interact with others. Everytime something caught his attention, he received a verbal correction. Other people brought their dogs that were, of course,  allowed to interact with people and each other. I felt so sorry for this puppy because he didn't understand why he was different, and couldn't join in the fun. That is how I feel about the G's. They have a displaced sense of their own importance, yet I'm sure that they wonder why they can't do the things that their friends and classmates enjoy. I hope that they will have some time with Jon this summer-- to just be kids doing what kids do with other kids.

On the positive side, Purse Boy must be a most excellent bodyguard because I can see that everyone there has been instructed to pretend that they don't know who she is. Better keep him away from Michelle Obama, Kate!

Definition of Valspeak:

A sociolect associated with Valley Girls termed “Valspeak” spread across the United States during the 1980s and 1990s, heavily populating high-school teenage female slang throughout. Qualifiers such as “like”, “whatever”, “way”, "as if!", “totally”, and “duh” were interjected in the middle of phrases and sentences as emphasizers. Narrative sentences were often spoken as if questions using a high rising terminal. Heavily accented words were spoken with high variation in pitch combined with very open or nasal vowel sounds

Running with headphones sends out a strong message to other runners, do not distract me, I am running MY race. Lot's of people are wearing them these days, more common all the time. HOWEVER, as an invited guest, protocol suggests wearing headphones while running with your host is just plain rude!

I do wonder where all this is going. My gut tells me she would drop the running thing in a NY minute if something in television came her way. Rod Dixon could employ her I suppose, but Kate doing the grunt work of getting school kids in a running program? I don't think so. Kate is about the headlines, not the back-story.

She will use this momentum to jet off during the winters she so hates in PA, to run in warmer climates, but day-by-day her irrelevance grows, and so will the interest in her. After all, how many runners end up on the TODAY show talking about their upcoming half-marathon. Kate has used up her free-pass on this topic, used her cancelled reality show to discuss it, but do we need to hear about it again? I think not.

By the way, "Borderline" Personality Disorder does mean that the patient sort of, kind of, is on the fence with, a bit of a personality disorder. That is not at all how the word 'borderline' is used here.

This diagnosis and it's behaviors and thought disorders are very serious and extremely resistant to therapy; medication for this on its own is useless. (Medication may help other thought disorders and behaviors that are present in ADDITION TO the borderline personality disorder, for example anxiety.) The only hope for theraputic progress is IF the ill person realizes how ill they are and is sincerely dedicated to changing their thought processes and behaviors. And with the narcisstic disorder, seeking help to change your thought processes is considered unlikely.

Anita (54), there is NO way that this foundation of Rod's could (or WOULD) afford to pay Kate what she needs to be making. First off, anyone who's an Olympic medalist is probably living off endorsements or a big job with a big athletic company. So as a "special guest," they would most likely not be making anything. Second, I doubt this foundation has sufficient funds to lay out the significant expenses that come with someone like Kate making an appearance--Steve, hair, make-up, first-class travel, etc. UNLESS she can be a fundraising draw, which is highly doubtful, she would not be qualified to be a paid "ambassador" for this charity. There is not a lot of info out there about Rod's "foundation." It was only set up in 2010, so it's fairly new. Rod is based in L.A., but the guy listed as the president is a Litchfield resident. Here's a little blurb:

About Rod Dixon’s KiDSMARATHON Foundation - Established in 2010 as a 501(c)(3) educational-services public charity and founded by Olympian and NY Marathon winner Rod Dixon, the goal of KiDSMARATHON Foundation is to lay the foundation for lifelong commitment to healthy lifestyle and fitness habits. Its signature program, Rod Dixon’s KiDSMARATHON™, embodies the mission of connecting community-driven resources to create educational experiences that empower kids to make the leap to eating right, being active and having fun in their everyday lives. The KMF organization provides program development, intellectual capital plus the expertise of top athletes that is motivational to school administrators, community volunteers and the kids themselves. Rod Dixon and KMF represent energy and success for all students, taking academic achievement of students to an even higher level. I am a damn proud mother right now.

Zach is still living at home at age 21 and working a dead end job at a local indoor soccer field.

Now Jacob, he's REAL adjusted. Kicked out of his bible school and 'home schooled' now.

I hope this isn't a foreshadowing of the G kids.

I have to disagree with you on Zach and Jeremy. They are normal young men with normal problems. I do agree with you on Jacob who even his parents admit seems to have struggled the most with the show. But I think it's VERY telling that Jacob was extremely little when the show began and grew up with it. The twins were much older. Evidence that the younger you are the more damaging public exposure can be.

As for Jeremy having his college funding, not sure how you know that. But even if true, tons of kids have college paid for by parents who can afford it. That makes you a bad kid? Not in my book.

Maybe 10 years ago living at home at 21 would be considered "deadbeat." Not today. Today lots of kids stay at home well beyond the teen years. The world is completely different than it used to be and living at home longer makes sense for a lot of young people. I would much rather see a kid that age living at home rather than puttering around outside the home blowing money paying for an overpriced horrible apartment and making bad decisions and getting hurt. Also Zack has been much slower to get out there and be his own person probably because of being a little person and his overall shy personality. He'll leave the nest, but on his own time. He always gets to where he needs to be but in his own time.

I do think they are overall a nice family. I don't require families to be perfect. They are not of course. But overall from everything I've seen and heard they do all right. Most of all I find them incredibly sincere.

Millions of Americans believe this. I don't think they are bad people. I fundamentally, completely and utterly disagree with their beliefs, but I don't think they are bad people. They have a right to believe anything can be prayed away just as I have a right to believe that anything cannot.

It could be he runs with someone each year and paces himself to their pace.

Gift of grab, I'm sure there were talented runners today and in San Diego. I would think Kate's place would be similar in both races if she is the dedicated runner she claims to be. Someone posted here that she was in the top 1/3 of female runners in SD yet she's in the bottom 1/3 in Litchfield. Sure today's race had a big hill but everyone had to run that hill and I'd expect her still to be in the top 1/3 today if she's legit.

Part of the race video is up on Youtube. At :17 you can see Rod and Kate. At :39, you can hear the announcer say "There's Rod Dixon, and Kate plus 8 Gosselin". So did they have to reference the "plus 8" in order for people to know who she was? As we've all said, Kate is nothing without those children.

The rest of the video shows people as they finish. This last runner in this video place 126th, so Kate will probably be in Part 6 or 7. If it gets posted tonight, I'll post the link.

Agree on this one. The fact of the matter is most women and men with a minimum average appearance throughout their lifetime will get hit on by their share of men or women who are married. It is up to you to give back the vibe you're not into it, or if necessary outright say no. It is up to you to prevent it from going anywhere beyond just getting hit on. Most people stop it.

Here is some info on the Kidsmarathon Foundation:

Although Rod Dixon said that this was the fifth year for the event, the KidsMarathon foundation just filed for tax-exempt status in 2010. The filed return shows that Rod Dixon and others are serving on the board of directors. The return shows $189 in donation revenues and $1800 in expenses. There are no salaries or other expenses. Maybe there will be more information on the 2011 return, when it is filed (return was due 5/15/2012, but not yet posted on Guidestar website). I will check back in a few weeks and update the blog. I'm curious to see what kind of public support/grants/donations Rod is able to attract. Also, the return will show whether he is receiving a salary.

Anyway, in view of this, I doubt that Kate is being paid. Clearly, she was an afterthought, as evidenced by the fact that they were bringing up the rear. If this was a paid celebrity appearance, then she would have led off--IMO.

This seems like a perfect opportunity for Kate to donate her time to bring the KidsMarathon to her home state. She can combine her uber organizational skills and love of exercise, promote her most important priority of healthy eating for moms and kids (never mentions the dads, does she?) all from the comfort of her leather couch, where she can be available to her children all-day, every day.

Kate must have picked up the bill for this, demonstrating just how desperate she is to remain in the public eye. It is an awfully long time between her marathon appearances, and no other gigs have been announced.

I agree with you on the pushy people wanting pictures of Kate's kids, but I blame their mother more than the fans. Today, most people can quickly take out their cell phone and snap a picture in an instant. Combine that with the phenomenon of reality stars inviting viewers in to their homes, a sense of familiarity ensues.

Kate put her 8 children in the spotlight, and sadly these children are now left to deal with the consequences. If Kate allowed her children to separate from one another in public, intrusive behaviors from fans would lessen. Without them as a unit of 8 though she loses her brand. Instead, Kate must keep reminding the world why she is famous, therefore it's all 8 together all the time!

What stood out for me in the videos of the kid's run yesterday was Cara. She has Kate's number, and she will be the first to drop out of the pack. Rebellion is coming, and it won't be pretty.

Someone upthread remarked on the fact that, at eight years old, none of the tups have played on a team. If Kate wants to encourage a lifelong love of exercise, why in the world aren't they in sports? Those kids are just so isolated and it is so sad to watch. Their mother is a complete zero in every department and I am very concerned for their welfare as she seems to be increasingly self-absorbed every day (didn't really think that was possible). In addition to her compulsive exercising, her bobble-head appearance is a sure sign that she has a very serious food disorder. Those kids are going to have a tough road ahead as they witness her deteriorating mental health.

There will be more attempts this summer, but 2012 will be a tipping point for Ms. Barbie Doll. Glad she's about done. Marathoning is just her ploy to keep in the tabs. If nobody cares, she will drop it. Why doesn't she ever volunteer with these races? Be their spokesperson? Because she's not a devoted runner and I think real marathoners have her figured out. She slithered her way into this weekend's events only because she used her casual meeting up with Rod Dixon. I hope he saw what she really is....a grifter and a user. She does not have the gregarious personality to be a spokesperson so nobody is interested. CC is the exception and I think their young CEO and staff are learning the hard way the mistake they made. She'll be gone this time next year.

No they should not turn into paranoid freaks, but it's not appropriate to teach kids to be friends with someone you just met who is a fan. It can lead you down a dangerous path when you play buddies with obsessed fans. It's different than meeting someone who is not a fan, there is not that element of demand from them. Many fans demand more and more and more until they snap and we've seen it on twitter.

See this post about the dozens upon dozens of incidents of fans who, when given an inch, want a mile. And sometimes that mile was hurting or killing their celeb. If you don't believe it, maybe you should talk to John Lennon's son, who met his father's killer and shook his hand while his dad gave an autograph just hours before the fan turned around and killed his dad.

What are they supposed to do then? The polite thing is to thank and admire. But that likely only encourages more of such behavior from fans.

I see this as a huge problem, and it argues against taking them anywhere where she is "showcasing" herself and putting out advance notice. These kinds of interactions just put the children in a very awkward place.

Will they pull the children in to sit on their laps? And what if when those fans don't look like Emily and they are rejected, will they accept that?

The only solution is that your children do not interact with fans PERIOD. This is a stance taken by my celeb and hundreds of other celebs. It is fine for Mommy to chat up fans, take pics and do autographs, but the children do NOT, period, until they are adults and can decide whether they want to interact with fans.

There's another element to fans besides the danger aspect of it--the psychological aspect of it. Is it really a good thing for a eight year old to feel like they have so many fawning adoring fans? What does that do to a child's ego? Prince William is a great example of that, he has talked at length about how weird and uncomfortable his boyhood was to have all these girls all over him. You can see how much it has influenced how he lives now, a life of utter privacy with the very rare interview or public event. The violation of his privacy all those years has influenced his entire life.

I wonder what could Steve have in that backpack of his or Kate's he's carrying.

Maybe organic treat and water-lol cause Kate's blood sugar gets low when she doesn't eat plus a charger for that pink phone.

Oh speaking of the royal family Kate wore a recycled dress to a wedding this weekend.

"The Duchess wore a pale grey coat over hand-painted silk floral “chinoiserie” dress by one of her favourite designers, Jenny Packham, which she first wore last year to attend a charity polo match during the Duke and Duchess’ tour of California."

This Kate is such an improvement.

Hey, yeah!!! Why didn't Kate tweet how proud she is of her kids for running? At least those of them who complied..

Driving to CT, being told you love running and will do so with your awesomely in-shape mother, and then sitting on the roadside with Steve and a fan to watch mommy run do NOT a vacation make.

Just to touch on Ms. Gosselin grifting for a gig with FLOTUS-- there is a huge chasm between their child-rearing philosophies. Mrs. Obama (and the President) protect their girls from the public, rather than offer them up to the world for their own selfish gain.
The Obama girls are never hounded by paps, nor are they blithely paraded around in public. The girls' appearances are few and far between.
The girls are involved in school activities, TEAM activities and their father somehow finds the time to participate/coach when he's not being the leader of the free world.
Michelle Obama does not drag her girls out to play the mom card when it suits her. She is most often championing anti-obesity, healthy eating and exercise WITHOUT them (even though the thrust of her platform is childhood obesity). Moreover, Michelle Obama just radiates healthy, natural beauty, class and she has the best "guns" ever!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I'm very impressed with how the Obamas have been keeping their girls sheltered. They rarely talk specifics about them, just general parenting things. And here's a great article about Michelle Obama's take on nutrition. She's NORMAl, she eats a lot, she she loves pizza, just finds a way to do it healthier.

Octomom Copies Kate Gosselin

It was good enough for Kate Gosselin, so now Octomom is partnering with a coupon clipping website, RumorFix is reporting exclusively.

Save Everyday has set up a trust for Nadya Suleman’s children. “We heard about her financial situation and we contacted her,” Nissa Rhodes, Director of Savings, tells RumorFix.

Nissa says the coupon clipping website was created for people just like Octomom: “We created the program to help people who are trying to make ends meet.”

Beginning next week, a landing page will be set up for Nadya and during the promotion, 50 percent of all proceeds that come to the site will go toward the fund.

Good points, Admin. I like, too, that Michelle Obama is playful. Sure, the cameras record her every move. But I get the sense that we're seeing her true-to-life self. She's not mugging for the camera. Examples: hula hooping, playing games on the WH lawn, digging in the soil.

Speaking of which: Kate Contrary, how does your garden grow?

Pity Party said...

I can see it now Admin. Those poor kids don't have a chance. They "love" anyone who shows them a grain of affection. Most kids instinctively stop sitting on laps around age 4, before their feet start dragging the floor and/or ground.

Michelle Obama has an excellent sense of what to say to not sound like a tool.

Look at the part where she talks about the White House garden. Kate would try to act like she toiled away at it all day and night all spring to get it going. Instead Michelle in no way tries to imply she does even half the work. She's like, look, it's a huge project, and thank goodness I have these people and those people doing it for me. What's more realistic without all that help is a pot of tomatoes on your porch. She's also brutally honest about all her help--hey I don't have time to think about dinner they do it for me and I just eat it.

That's real, that's honest. That's not trying to misrepresent your lifestyle and at the end of the day people respond to honesty about your fame and fortune far more than trying to pretend you do it all. I have always had infinitely more respect for the rich and famous who are honest about their lives than those that try to take all the credit.

That was a vacation???? It must be killing her it wasn't an episode. Is this what her "vacations" have come to? Driving to Conn. for a day and a half to run in the sweltering heat up and down hills? Those poor kids. She will only take them on "vacation" if it's to her advantage. What's the point of taking them anywhere unless there's a camera present? I still don't get how any of this is paying her bills. In her delusional mind, she still thinks that running will lead to something else. When it doesn't....I wonder what her next "con" will be?

Still waiting for Kate to mention how proud she was of her kids for the running the did. Don't worry I won't be holding my breath.

The only time she has mentioned the kids since her announcement about going there was when she tweeted how much the kids loved Emily.

She can't praise her OWN kids-but she can praise Emily. She is one mixed up bitch.

PatK said...

I can't believe Emily got to hang with the kids yesterday, but I agree that looks like her in the picture. Perhaps Kate didn't take a nanny along for this short race trip? Maybe the kids are at the age where just Steve's overbearing presence keeps them in line?

And how obvious is Kate in mentioning that she LOVES these family trips? In other words, keep the opportunities coming folks!! Damn grifter.

I agree with all of you on the 'tons of laundry' from the weekend ,'family trip' and also the lack of discrimination letting the kids cozy up to a stranger. I think it is Hannah on the fan's lap. Mady used to be the one to seek affection/attention from strangers the most( eg. Sarah Snow) and at a photo shoot all the kids were friendly with anyone who paid attention to them. RAD can be very serious - anyone seen/read Child of Rage ?- google that in YouTube for the real interviews of an extreme case. I do think the G kids have had so many strangers in their lives and some lack of parental affection that they may have some indication of a mild version.I am not diagnosing, just pointing this out IMO.

Just catching up after a real weekend with my wonderful family. What a grand (snark) outing for the Gosselin children. No, this was no vacation for them, one day being herded into an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation on a track full of children, children they do not know, and being forced to run so Mommy can be captured smiling for a camera. And then the next day, having to be dressed in their matchy matchy teeshirts to be minded by the daddy sub, wonderful Mr. Steve and a strange teenage girl, who just adores them and Mommy. Just a grand weekend for them. And here comes Mommy, running through the streets, smiling the smile of she who is being NOTICED, holding some guy's hand, oh greatt and wonderful times for these children. Back into the bus, driving anither 5 hours home, so today Mommy can be oh so tired and snappish, oh there's so much laundry for the not a laundry girl to do.

This is not a summer vacation trip, this is more enforced Look at Mommy, smile for a camera, complete and utter narcissistic BS from the life of Kate Gosselin. She really is a monster.

======

There's another aspect to it to -- knowing who is a friend and who isn't. Kate tells the kids that it's okay to interact with a fan, sit in a lap, because she's a friend. How could a fan, a complete stranger be a friend when you've only met her a few minutes before? Wouldn't the kids be very confused trying to figure out why a stranger is a friend? Are all fans friends? If so, then it's perfectly okay to go off with them even though they are strangers, just because an adult said it was okay. Kids trust their parents. What if the parent is as dumb as Kate, who doesn't know enough not to keep kids away from fans who are strangers? What if a fan approaches a child and says that it's okay because he/she is a friend?

It may have worked out fine this time, but behavior such as this has disaster written all over it.

Pity Party said...

Does anyone else get the feeling that despite having supposedly skipped through a full marathon her first time out and then apparently breezed through a half, and lastly, a 5K (or whatever) that she is just now getting a taste of what it is all about.

And, yes, KT, the entire world knows that you LOVE trips and seems to me that by my now the laundry girl would be an old pro or is it a new one every week. It wasn't an international trip. It was 4 hours away in a neighboring state for 2 days. We are not buying what you are selling, today.

Reminds me of a friend of my daughter's who blew through a $100,000 inheritance in 6 months. They loved staying in motels and hotels so much that they would even do it on the weekend in their own town. When asked why, they said it was because of the pool and the hot tub, but not having to clean up was high on the list as well.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Warmth, good point. How exactly does a child learn how to develop real, lasting friendships when random strangers are dumped on them and they are expected to sit in their laps and be instant BFF?

A child at school they are trying to be friends with would be very turned off by such aggressive behavior. Friendships typically develop gradually. Sure there are people you have instant chemistry with, but the deep, long lasting friendships that are sincere still take a long time to develop.

Couldn't she give them one "off" day of no work at the beach? There are hundreds of beaches that are pretty much on the way home. Or one day in NYC at a fun children's museum or any number of great children's activities? Some kind of reward for more or less putting up with this job all weekend?

Nope it's back to the compound as soon as the job is over.

Yes, I agree. I'm not even sure it's a diagnoses. They DO show indiscriminate affection towards strangers, it's a fact, it is what it is. We've seen it dozens of times. I don't know what that means in the bigger picture, but the fact of the matter is it happens when it comes to them.

Emily was wearing a white short-sleeved tee. It looks like the girl in the photo was wearing a blue shirt. Her hair was pulled back, not hanging long like the girl in the photo with Kate. Could she have put on a shirt and tied her hair back? Sure, it's entirely possible. I'm not totally convinced, though, that it isn't one of the nannies.

I bet this stranger fan helped Steve babysit the kids while Kate ran her 7 miles. This was a race day picture. Apparently the only resume you need to be around eight young children is a pretty face that looks normal.

Because I am feeling especially snarky this morning, I just have to say "Hey Steve. Nice backpack!!!" He looks like such a security professional with that on his back. Wonder if he has tear gas in there or an RPG to keep wayward fans away?

Probably neither. He probably has 8 hand santizers, 8 individual packets of tissues, wet ones and probably 8 changes of clothes in case any of the children are "ruined" by spilling something on themselves.

I'd have to say either way, if Steve is involved with Kate romantically or whether he's not, his career as an expert security professional is pretty much done. Who will take him seriously at this point with all these photos of him carrying Kate's purse, carrying her purchases and now with that backpack?

Then again, maybe he is no longer in the security biz and is now acting manager for Kite? If so, he's not very good at that either.

In "r" logical world, yes, keeping the kids away from "fans" is what we would do. But khate has had those kids in their very own freak show from the day they were conceived. Yes, let those kids call a complete stranger their "friend", have them coddle up to her, sit on her lap, but God forbid you let immediate family be a part of their lives...grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins THEIR OWN FATHER for #$@& sakes! I forsee the girls cozying up to the very first guy that shows them any type of affection or attention...see it on Dr.Shill all the time...

To her fans that say we ragged on Kate when she left the kids for her SD trip, then now are doing the same concerning this past weekend:

Kate left her kids days prior to SD, and stayed days afterward. She should have taken her kids with her and treated them to a vacation in SD.

This past weekend, she shlepped them first class (mini-snark, since it was in a new mercedes bus) day before, and went home day of, event.

This past weekend was about KATE, not about the kids. She never once tweeted that she was proud of her kids, it was all about her. Granted, I don't know how proud I would be of my kids if they were allowed to compete in an event that they didn't do all the necessary preparations for like all the other participants. But, they have to do what she says, so it isn't the kids' fault.
Kate also let a complete stranger take care of her children this past weekend. The pic I saw had one of the kids sitting in this girl's lap, and Kate is photographed some distance away with her head turned. Not exactly mother of the year material, imo.
Kate also outfitted herself in head to toe running gear. Her kids looked like they were wearing regular street tennis shoes and other non-running apparel.

Kate, don't drag your kids all over the place this summer for your photo ops. Hire a cpr certified nanny, let them stay home and have the summer off. They have earned it. You and Steve have a good time traipsing around the country to have your picture taken. You two deserve one another.

She looks slightly different because it's the next day. The pic of her in white was Saturday when the kids ran their race. This photo was from the 7 mile race on Sunday, the next day. Well rats! I just had a long post written and blogger swallowed it whole. I'll try this one again.

IF KK and Skeve are having a relationship -- and I'm of the opinion that they are -- it isn't HER fault and it isn't HIS fault, it is THEIR fault. She let it be known that she was available and he took the bait. Or, he let it be known that he was interested and she acquiesced. Either way, they BOTH took sacred vows to love, honor and be faithful to their spouses and those vows were not kept. Even if there was no physicality to their relationship, the MINUTE that Jon said he suspected an affair, the arrangement should have been terminated. For someone who was claiming to be so Bible oriented and adherent, KK was remarkably sanguine about being considered an adultress. She obviously disregarded the Biblical statements that the appearance of sin is enough to be considered a sinner. They BOTH betrayed their respective spouses.

KK is an idiot to encourage and allow her kids to interact with fans. Emily appears to be nice and relatively normal young woman. However, there are too many wingnuts out there to permit such behavior. KK is such a hypocrit. She had a fit and made the school take down or block the video of a public performance that included Mady singing a solo and portrayed the younger kids in a less than positive light, but forces the kids to allow fans to photograph them. Unbefreakinleavable.

Pink and Tomatoes -- thanks for your concern. Yes, I have meds -- Prednisone and Tylenol, but I try not to take them if I don't have to. They make me too groggy. Heat helps a lot. I normally don't have much trouble with the hands, escept for opening lids and such, but I've been doing too much knitting. They feel much better today.

Do we all remember at their old house, she'd park herself on her white plastic throne, have the kids play out there and then had the nerve to put up a sign stating "do not stop, keep moving" (or something to that effect) Those kids are hers to do what she pleases WITH them and TO them. They had that huge backyard in Etown, did they ever use it? Did they ever build a fence? They move to the new house for "privacy", low and behold they're in the front yet again! They are commodoties to her, nothing more, nothing less, their well being is always an afterthought, if it's even that.
