Kate and kids to run in Rod Dixon's Kid's Marathon in Connecticut

We made some race day t-shirts for the kids:

According to the web site, kids throughout Connecticut will finish the final mile of a marathon on Saturday. Apparently Kate and her kids will join in at the main event in Litchfield.

"Throughout the course of the program, participating students have engaged in weekly fitness training while accumulating a personal distance of 25 miles. Students follow a KiDSMARATHON training guide containing nutritional information, warm up exercises, drills, games, cool-down activities and much more."

In other narcissism news, Kate actually thinks she's worthy to be in the same room as Michelle Obama. What say you to that Madam First Lady?

Determined healthy living person who does eat food. said...

I live in a little ranch home (tiny) with 3 bedrooms 8x10 or a foot bigger. My mother lived with me for 20 yrs until she passed away. I have a little plot of land that my house is on. Since I bought that house 35 yrs ago I have had a vegetable garden. We had a small freezer in the garage and my Mom and me froze so much all Summer. Then we shop at Farmer's Markets. We also shared what we could not freeze among neighbors. I still garden, not as much but will do more this year, even though Mom is gone. I wish I had acres of land. Here where I live, not far are people living in the outside in tents. . Their wives/children live in the Amer Red Cross Shelter which is overflowing. Yes, I give my vegetables and even baskets of apples or fruits that are less expensive to people who can distribute these items to the men in those tents. So do I think that Michelle Obama would want me to campaign about feeding/eating correctly? No way. I am just doing something that I was taught to do while a child.
We were taught and I still eat very healthy. No way would I eat from a drive thru fast food place but I will cook all day Sundays and freeze, so I have lots of healthy food. No way would I starve on lettuce leaves with a hint of dressing. Kate Gosselin starves, has breast implants, bleaches and tans in booths. That is not healthy. So Ms. Obama will not be calling this Rag into the White House to accompany her on feeding her children and herself well. She is a phony and I'm sure Ms. Obama's people will inform her of such. If Kate shows up in the White House, I will be writing many e mails to the US gov. Remember you can write on the computer to the First Lady and her busy husband. Oppose this lates dilusional urge of her to be in the news.

Sick beyond words. My mother lived as Ms. Obama hopes we all are, growing food, cooking, freezing, canning, our tiny gardens and she is not here now to say "you can do it if you have a patch of land" just remember a little goes a long way. Do not starve to loose weight. Just eat healthy and eat your 6 tiny meals and don't eat at fast food rest. You will be full and lose weight. Just move, walk.

Kate says she and her "kids" will be running. We don't know if all the kids are running-maybe it's just one or a few. We know how Kate likes to exaggerate and also speak of her kids as a group. I found this tweet from February:

Kate Gosselin@Kateplusmy8
I think my kid has caught the 'running bug'...Cara just came to me&announced she wants to do a kid triathlon this summer..any1 know of any?
7:38 PM - 21 Feb 12

She only mentions Cara as having the "running bug", not the others.

The thing with Kate is that no matter what she says we never know what is "fact" versus what is "fiction".

Improbable Dreams 184-I thoroughly agree with your sentiments.

Kate does not adhere to an organic diet.

No one who eats organic would touch processed salad dressing (squirt, squirt), instant (chemical-laden) coffee creamer, or Keurig coffee. We do some items in my house organic, some not, because of expense, but no way would I have any of these options in my house. It's processed, chemical garbage and there are alternatives for about the same price.

Just FYI, most inorganic coffees are processed using formaldehyde. My store brand actually has a line of organic/more natural products, so it's pretty cheap to just switch.

Tweet-le--I just saw that tweet. Yep, I guess that clarifies it. So she and the kids are going intrude on the other kids thunder.

Since she's running tomorrow with Rod Dixon, I would say it is most likely that Rod invited them to join the run this morning. Although in my opinion, that doesn't make it right.

I have a friend with the most beautiful body one could wish for. Tall, trim, fit, athletic, perfect boobs and butt. Yet she fights with body image all the time. Eats cream of wheat for dinner. Works out or runs daily. And has to actually tell herself she's not fat every day. Such a beautiful girl with a dream body and she
Has to work so hard just not to feel fat. She credits her anorexic mother for a lot of her neurosis. Says she was informed she was fat as a kid and if she was not a rail, her mom would look at her disapprovingly. This mother sounds so much like Kate, so screwed up in her own head that she couldn't help herself from harming her own lovely daughter's self-esteem.

Why is it I can picture in my mind Kate going "Come on kids, let's pack up and drive five hours to run one mile. I can't be the marathonmomof8 without showing off my eight, count 'em 8, little runners. No, I don't care what you really wan't to do, all 8 of you are going to run. I know you don't understand it now, but this is for your own good. Now remember to say 'Pleased to meet you Mr. Dixon' when I give you the cue. You'll thank me later."

Kate just can't let the kids grow up normally and nurture their individual talents.

Dmasy--thanks for the link to that article. It made some excellent points. I particularly liked this paragraph(edited for language):

"I will never understand why is is that politicians will attack the rights of gays to marry, will decry fictional violence in film, and go apoplectic if someone shows a tit on television, but won’t say sh*t about the TLC Channel, which not only exploits those with mental disease, it celebrates dysfunction and rewards sh**ty parenting. Where’s Mike Huckabee on this?"

Gift--I remember when Kate tweeted that, her tweeties went crazy researching kids triathlons for her. Whether she ever looked into it is anybody's guess. I do wonder however if a light bulb went off in Kate's head, and it gave her another idea on how to use her kids to keep herself out there.

If what Kate said about Cara is true-I do hope that one of her parents looked into it.

What is the 10k run she is doing with the Dixon guy on Sunday? Is that an organized public event or is it just the two of them?

What will the kids be while she's running the 10k, on the sidelines cheering her on? Yawwwn.

I've never seen such a role reversal and such parentification. The kids support Mommy at her sporting events. Hey Kate it's supposed to be the other way around.

Kate is a twit said...

Gift--Since a triathlon involves running, cycling and swimming, I can imagine Kate saying "that too many events-why not pick one? Since I run, you can run too". Kate wouldn't do a triathlon-doesn't she admit that she doesn't swim, even in her own pool?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

If Rod invited them to the kids marathon it would be simple enough for her to say oh no thank you so much but this is their day I wouldn't want to intrude.

I'm not sure I really believe she has any PR person working for her because anyone worth their salt in PR would never let her waltz in late to the race party. It looks so bad. They would find a kids race closer to home and make sure the family goes through all the training with everyone else. My guess is Steve tells her how wonderful all her ideas and plans are no matter how ludicrous. But the truth is a good PR person will say something when something is a bad idea. If your PR person never says no, they're probably not that great.

tate--This is the race that Kate and Rod will be running in, the Litchfield Road Race.

"This year’s race, like those in the recent past, is 7.1 miles long. It begins at 1 p.m. on the top of West Street on the village green and circles through the town, concluding with a grueling final lap up Gallows Hill, which returns runners to South Street and the green again. There are also three options for children: the 200 Yard Dash, 1 Mile Fun Run, or the 2.3 Mile Children’s Race."

7.1 miles is a little bit more than 10 K-but you know Kate has to use her running jargon.
_________

Admin--If Kate wanted the kids to participate in a run, she could have had them run tomorrow, but that probably would have interfered with HER run. Doesn't matter to her, that her kids are interferring with the other kids run.

She also could have just gone today to lend her support or be a volunteer. But of course, that's not how Kate does things.

Gift of grab said...

Tate (200), the LHRR is a long-established local event, from what I've read, though it has attracted a bunch of famous runners in the past (no, I'm not including Kate in that category). It apparently has LOTS of hills. It sounds like Rod will be running with Kate. And yes, the question about who will watch the kids is interesting. My guess is, Steve and whatever not-a-nanny was brought along. Is she going to leave them standing out somewhere along the race route where anyone might approach or photograph them? We'll see.

PJ's Momma, thanks, BTW, for that info on her half-marathon. I have to say, Kate placed really well in SD. She has made it into the fastest 10% in every category. Which means she must have been doing a lot more training than she advertised on Twitter OR that she cheated. But I don't believe she cheated this time, not on this race. Broad daylight, lots of people. The fact remains, though, that I think a lot of people would be capable of improving to this extent had they the kind of leisure time we know Kate enjoys.

She's running a 10K in Litchfield tomorrow? LOL - good luck Katie! I was in Lakeville CT (near Litchfield - had lunch there!) toward the end of April. My husband is a cyclist and attended a weekend cycling event that rode through Litchfield and the surrounding area. He rides 75 - 100 miles a week and said this was one of the hardest rides he's done, and he's been riding for 15+ years. The hills were brutal and if the weather is hot and sunny, it's that much harder. And he trains - not like Kate who gives lip-service to being a marathoner. Unless she's running a route that's pretty flat, it's not going to be easy.

OT: this is a beautiful part of the country. So charming with lakes, lovely country roads, small towns. If you're ever in northern CT or southern MA, take the time to explore this area!

So true, her kids merely want a simple beach vacay, and yet they get a weekend of Mommy promoting herself, and dragging them into an unwanted spotlight of publicity, as Steve photographs and sells them to ROL.

Mommy is running a 10K? How many minders are on the weekend payroll to corral the kids, and keep them standing at the finish line for HER?

Fine running is her passion, leave the kids alone. Guess she needs them since her presence in San Diego alone did not produce enough publicity. She's watched the Sound of Music one too many times I think. And the M.Obama comment is beyond ridiculous, as if.

"It is only three-tenths of a mile, but anyone who has run the Litchfield Hills Road Race knows Gallows Lane all too well. The elevation gain is 145 feet; the grade a nasty 9.2 percent. Not only that, it comes near the end of the 7-plus-mile race held each June. Tough. So tough that an article in the October issue of Runner's World magazine pronounces it number eight among the 10 greatest, most daunting, most hurtful hills in U.S. road races."

A Mouse Today said...

However, none of us possess the hubris to suggest that Michelle Obama is in need of our services or that she would do well to partner up with us.

There are3 kids events tomorrow. The 200 yd.dash and 1 mile run start at 1:05pm and the ages for the 1 mile are limited to 8-10 yrs. The 2.3 mile starts at noon and the ages for that are 11-13yrs. The 7.1 mile starts at 1:00 pm.

So given those choices--Kate's dilemma is whether to have the kids run in 2 separate races OR she runs the 7.1 mi race. What's a mother to do? Of course, she'll run, because after all it's all about the kids and it would be too difficult having them run separate races.

So what's the best solution in order for the kids to run? Let's have them run a race they're not entitled to run.

We keep thinking how can a mother do that to her kids but I truly believe that is exactly what she had them for! Poor kids!

Kirkland-if I need soft butter for a recipe-I measure what I need, cut it into small pieces, put it in a small bowl and just mix it slowly with my mixer. That usually softens it up enough. If it has to be at room temperature, I do this first and then assemble the other ingredients needed. By the time I'm ready to use it, it's usually at room temperature.

Kirkland, for baking, I usually try to sit it out for 15-30 mins to come to room temp so it is easier to mix, especially real butter, but for storing I keep it in the fridge. And usually I'm so ready to bake that I forget to wait for the butter and just mix it cold anyway!

Funny how there were no wild crowds or panics for the future king and queen of England, but Kate thinks she and her brood will cause mass hysteria.

This has really irritated me to no end. It could possibly be due to the fact that I have a touch of PMS... but mostly it's because Kate is a lying, hypocritical bitch.

Like Admin said, this is Kate's latest attempt at throwing something at the wall to see if it will stick. Another hook to glom onto in desperate hopes of someone to pay her 1,000,000 a year for doing nothing. This week it's a children's fitness and nutrition guru. Hey Kate, how about starting with tweeting pictures of you in the kids working in your organic garden, situated somewhere on those 24 acres?? You can't? You don't have one?? It seems like a natural thing to do IF YOU ARE REALLY THAT CONCERNED ABOUT ORGANIC FOOD AND ADVOCATING FOR CHILDREN'S NUTRITION.

Here's what is has come down to. Hypokritikal Kate cannot be bothered to take the sextuplets off the Konpound to do something low-key, private and fun just because. She can't do it. Just like 90s supermodel Linda Evangelista infamously said "I don't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day", Kate will not take all of her children on an outing unless she has an entourage, someone footing at least some of the expenses and there is some good publicity in it for her. She has wasted these kids entire lives thus far trying to get famous and now desperately trying to stay famous. I so wish she'd just STFU about loving being a mom so much and. just. freaking. BE. one.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I didn't know that about PRince William but it doesn't surprise me. Throughout his life he's quietly shown up at various places just being a normal kid, young man, and adult, and it's not a panic or crisis.

It's really the same in NY and LA. People here see celebs going to the movies all the time. You look, maybe a rare few might tweet or FB about it, and that's the end of it, you just watch the movie. At the end of the day we all burp and fart and we all want to see a good movie.

Kate thinks she farts and burps and everything else different and better than everyone else, and it's incredibly unattractive.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Lancaster unless your house is very warm butter won't go rancid for weeks when left out. Most people go through a stick of butter by then. Butter will go rancid in the fridge too, though it will take longer.

I usually have a lot of butter on hand because we use a lot of it in cooking and baking, and when we go out of town I usually toss it all in the freezer. A good move IMO. In the summer I tend to keep all but a few sticks in the freezer.

And, she could also tweak the protocol for our defense strategy to include time outs. Also, using the laundry room floor as a critical first step for medical responders would save billions in medical care costs. 911 operators would answer all calls: My name is xxxxxxxx. I leave my butter on the counter in a butter dish, but my sister swears up and down it gets rancid when left on the counter. It's an argument we just can't settle.

This seems like a pretty easy argument to settle. Rancid butter tastes and smells rancid. If your butter on the counter doesn't taste and smell rancid, it's not!

Baking tip: usually cakes mix better, it is just easier to mix if you put refrigerated ingredients out to get to room temperature first. Butter, eggs esp. I usually bake with butter because no Trans fat, which is the kind of fat that esp sticks to your arteries. No Trans fat in butter.

Admin, you're right! And I've been telling her that for years. She still thinks she's right. She says it's because my house is always cool (air conditioning) and we do tend to use a lot of butter so it doesn't stay on the counter too long.

She just likes to argue the point.
