I believe Kate and the kids watch the live stream of the church service on the computer. I don't believe they actually go TO the church most of the time.

Anonymous said...

So...Kate can managed to take all 8 of her kids to church and sit quietly (I guess it depends on your type of church if whole family attends or kids are separate) point is she can take the kids to church, without making a scene every week (as if) but it's impossible for her to take her kids to the movies once in a while without creating a mob scene? Logic here is lost.

I got suspicious way back when Jon and Kate both quit their jobs because reality TV paid better. Left them nothing to fall back on. That was the big tip off right there. Something wasn't right.

In the past she did mention watching a live stream of a church service but today she did say 'back from' which leads me to think she got in the car and physically visited a church. Moot point, though, as religion doesn't seem to be making a positive impact on her.

"There is a huge disconnect between Kate's ambitions and her reality (no pun intended)."

This is one of the best statements I have seen to describe Kate. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Kate is LAZY. She wants things done for her and handed to her. As a matter of fact she expects things to be done this way.

She thinks smiling in front of a camera all dolled up is working. If you've noticed almost, if not every, interview she's done she is asked about her relationship with Jon. Their divorce is the only thing that has kept her in the spotlight this long. It has been downhill ever since. Her show never reached the ratings that Jon & Kate did.

Kate does nothing extraordinarily. Nothing. Everything she does is half-assed. She can't dance, she can't devote herself to her kids, she can't speak, she can't ski, she can't swim, she can't cook anything but good old country, homestyle dishes, she can't write, she can't skydive, and she can't even commit to running as much as she'd like us to think. The list of what Kate can't do goes on and on. Everything she presents is store bought. How she's going to pull a craft out of her ass on that cruise is beyond me. She may have looked crafty when she had TLC behind her but her true colors have really shown through in the past year. The only thing Kate can do well is worry about herself and her looks.

She's got this Jim Jones following that believes every word she says and praises every mediocre thing she does. Her only hope at this point is to move to the UK, change her attitude, and start over in the limelight. She is finished in the US. We went through the whole thing with Kate from start to finish. We know what a greedy, nasty witch she is. The UK doesn't realize what we know. They would almost have to live through it with every interview and article done about her to get the full grasp. In my opinion that's her only hope for a career as a star. BUT.....we all know Kate can't and will never change because Kate doesn't think she does a thing wrong. This, I suppose, is the definition of a narcissist.

The bottom line is Kate is lazy and will never get far in life on her own. In my opinion she better either find a wealthy husband or head to the UK while she's still hot and not realized for what she is.

The Toronto Star assigned 20 journalists to cover the funeral of an "ordinary" 55 year-old woman. Her obituary was chosen at random and the result is an amazing article. Extended family and friends played an important part in her life. She didn't have a lot of material goods but she had the respect and loves of many.

Oh for the love of Pete!! It's so confusing to switch the clothes? Really? This from the "most organized" mom in the world? I'm not the world's best mom, but this is easy.
For all you teenage Kate fans wanting to be her when you grow up and have kids and will then be wringing your hands trying to figure out how to do this:
have a bin per size. When something no longer fits, put it in the proper bin.
Go through drawers/closet pulling too small clothes and put in bin.
pull out the current size bin, pull out any clothes the are relevant to the season, wash and put away in drawers and closet.
use your pretty, Kate has one so I had to get one too, label maker to label the bins. Or, if you are just mediocre, use painters tape and a sharpee.
Lord help me!

mamaK said...

Oh, and, do the switch when your kids are not around!!! Your kids will grab their favorite two sizes too small shirt and cry if you get rid of it, etc. They will "help" which means, put things willy nilly in drawers, mess up piles, and if you have more than two start playing "shirt ball". Please, for your own sanity, especially if you are OCD and need things "just so", do it when they are not around!!!!
Besides, I'd much rather be at the park with my kids than fighting over clothes!

I haven't shared anything about my life on this blog and frankly, I'm not totally sure why I'm doing it now except Kate's latest whine (switching out clothes) touched a nerve.

About six years ago my daughter- in- law, out of the blue, told my son she had feelings for someone else. They'd been married ten years and had two children ages 9 and 6. The day it happened he came by to tell us and we were just about as shocked as he was.

When my hubby and I retired we downsized our house and moved into a three bedroom; but we didn't have to discuss our son and grandkids moving in. Our son never spent another night in his house. He started divorce proceedings and won shared custody. The judge ordered that they switch off every other week. My son's attorney said that she was pretty confident that he'd rule that way since my son was a very hands on dad and she wasn't much of a hands on mom (Think of Kate on a smaller scale).

In the blink of an eye our world changed. Suddenly it was school, homework, dance class, and soccer and I was the oldest person dropping off kids. The first summer as the divorce was slowly happening; his wife attempted to convince my son to take her back (she had to give up the nice house and swimming pool etc.). He declined her offer by telling her he'd never be able to trust her 3 feet out of the door. So there we were, my son in one bedroom and the kids sharing the other bedroom with one rather small closet. I had to be organized, my son lowered the clothes hanging bar and installed shelves all the way to the ceiling. Since that room had been our office and when those things were moved to my dining room; I emptied out an old file cabinet and painted it with chalkboard paint; There was just enough room in it for underwear, socks etc.. The twin beds had bookshelf/headboards which aided in keeping things organized.

Was the room a mess? Yes it was, frequently. Listen up Kate, it's was a mess because two happy, playful kids lived there. But guess what? It was still organized. Kate, "organized" does not mean sterile and uninviting.

They were with us for three years while our son saved for a new house. I didn't think I'd miss the hectic schedule but it is awfully quiet around here now (they've been gone for about 4 years. Luckily, they only live a few miles away and they're coming over to cook us dinner tonight. In closing, I'd like to tell Kate to savor every moment she has with her kids but I know it will fall on deaf ears.

I would tell Kate that it is not St. Patty's day but St. Paddy's day.

Also, we never throw clothes away. There are big bins around town for old, stained, holey clothes that companies make rags out of to use for wiping cloths. There is always a use for everything.

Yes, aggiemom. Think what Kate is denying her kids- family!!All the grandparents, great-grandparents ( those still living), aunts, uncles, cousins, which we know they have aplenty. So sad. I wonder if they changed that will if whomever the generous person was is cut out of Kate's life??

And what is Kate going to do when one or the other parent dies as they inevitably will. I've always wondered if she'd bring her kids to the funeral. Do they even KNOW them? I don't think she knows the collateral damage her self-centeredness will cause... IS causing.

I have posted this before but I know the perfect job for KT. My son watches World's Dumbest (criminals) and they have people who were once famous making snide sarcastic comments about dumb antics of the criminals and she would be perfect. Down deep, she is loud and raucous and makes crazy sounds and she would fit right in. I have suspected for a time now that the gloves are off she is potty mouth too. All that snorting and things she used to do on the sofa making fun of the kids she could do there.

To think how far she has come when A. said his famous I can't see sheep, that sounded a bit like something else I thought nahh where on earth would he have ever heard that. Helllooo......

Actually, Jon would be good at that too. It has to pay something, it would be a like a J&K reunion without their having to interact and I am pretty certain they do it from home as it is low budget but gets a lot of viewers. Todd Bridges is on there - he's funny. Tonya Harding is on there - not so funny.

They have a similar show with animals that Jon would particularly be good at. They comment on the antics of the animals with a gentler, kinder type of former celebrity.

lol, someone called Kate out on Twitter re: consigning. Kate said she does it to buy clothes for kids who have no hand-me-downs, but the person said all she donated to was the Kate Fund.
I know Kate ' ignores other people' as she says, but doesn't seeing it in print make her wonder why so many people are wise to her lies and dislike her?

As for Kate denying the kids the right to see their grandparents, I have a friend who always made fun of her mother and mother-in-law when her kids were little, because they were so "silly" and not professional women, etc. Guess whose kids were mocking their mother for her lack of computer skills as soon as they were old enough?

Kids learn what they see, and these kids are learning to cast aside family. Kate will reap the bitter fruits of her lessons one day.

Are there really that many pieces of clothing that are specifically for "spring"? Especially in a place like Penn where Spring means sunny and warm one day, snow the next.

New Kid said...

I confess that I am on Twitter more than I should be (which ideally would be zero). The viciousness of the people on both sides of the Kate wars can be shocking. I admit to trying to be the "voice of reason" (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, "reason" on Twitter) from time to time. I never curse, and I try not to be outright nasty, but I can't help calling out Kate on her obvious lies, and foolishly think that it might help her to see it.

The other night, though, there was a sad little 13-year-old girl who came on to defend Kate, and of course, was immediately attacked. At first, nobody knew she was a child, until someone asked her, and she said she was 13. Some "Kate haters" were still engaging her (although not brutally as they sometimes do). I can't see the point of abusing another child in the service of Kate's children, so I offered the girl a few words of unsolicited advice, telling her to find a teacher who would see her potential, and to stay away from Twitter abuse, just a few words, really. Then I told her that I couldn't talk to her any more because I don't believe in talking to children online. OMG. She thanked me, and I haven't seen her on Kate's Twitter feed since. And she said something like "I have needed a guardian angel and now I have found one."

Well, that is sobering to me. And while I won't abandon my self-appointed "mission" you can be sure I will be extra-vigilant about what I post on Twitter forevermore.

That's one of many reasons I feel so bad for the G8. See, I don't consider having THINGS and GRIFTS as being lucky. I consider a strong family so important.

Gift of grab said...

New Kid, I would agree with putting this on YouTube, but I think that without juxtaposing it against the infamous Kate blog that inspired it, people just wouldn't get it.

Auntie, ah, the infomercial! Well, she's already done the AbChamp, which I for one never even saw on TV. I didn't think she was terribly convincing in that, for the simple reason that she clearly had barely used the product and also clearly didn't believe in it.

I think the best suggestions so far are the ones for prison guard, warden, etc. Her only way back to TV, in my view, would be if she allowed herself to be parodied a la the Hitler clip above. I don't think anyone takes her seriously in any sense anymore--which is why no one is lining up to give her product endorsements.

Audible, great story, glad your son was able to put his life back together. So many people don't. Kate, for example.

I'm not understanding this. If you donate to a consignment shop do you have to buy there? What does consigning have to do with buying?

Also we have these yellow bins all over LA that will take your clothes, we usually give there. There are even some companies that will take clothes and grind them up into a pulp and make new clothes, so it doesn't matter how ratty your clothes are.

Well, sort of. We don't wear cords one day and shorts the next, although the weather has been so freaky this winter that it seems like that's the way it is right now. There is usually a "transitional" period, which could mean spring...sweatshirts and lightweight jackets instead of winter coats. For kids, it's cotton slacks and short sleeves instead of fleece pants and sweaters, and then finally (usually in late May)-- shorts and sandals!

We are not having spring right now. We've gone directly from a very mild winter to mid 70-degree temperatures. VERY unusual. In fact, we didn't really have winter. I kept waiting for that really big snowstorm, but it never happened. No shovels this year (except for the Halloween storm)-- and then nothing. Winter totally fizzled out.

Of course, there have been years when we've been hit hard with a big March or April snowstorm, but looking at the long-range forecast, I don't see that happening.

I fell into the trap of buying my girls lots of cuuuute clothes from the mall stores like gap and gymboree. Their clothes were the bomb!! But no matter how well made or how expensive the clothing, almost all were ruined by the time they outgrew them. Formula stains forever, so do sharpies and bleach and you get the idea. Even if the clothes weren't stained, most were so worn, mainly from all the washing and drying, that they were in no shape to re-sell. The few items that I could have sold were things like fancy dresses and winter coats. How does Kate keep those clothes X8 in good enough shape to consign them out? (said with snarky tone....). Plus my experience with consignment for myself is that the payoff was so small that it was easier to give away to someone who needs it.

A babysitter 4 days a week, for what?

They're only home about 4 hours before they go to bed. She has a weekly cleaning lady, so shes not spending her days cleaning, but say an hour daily tidying up. Cooking, yeah okay, but opening a few cans and throwing them in the crockpot doesn't take that long. Even if cooking 'fresh' shouldn't take more than an hour. Laundry, 2 loads (towels daily, dark/light alternate days) a day should cover it, as to not have an overload, there's another hour. So there's 3 hours out of her day. She should have nothing to do once her kids get home, except finish dinner and clean up, which they should help with. So, what does she do with the rest of her days and why on earth would she need a babysitter for 4 days a week, when she see's her kids so little during the week as it is?

Kate's got a 6,000 sq ft house. There's no way a single cleaning lady does the entire thing in one day. She either has a crew or she has her do certain areas each time.

I think they were trying to point out that not more than six months ago Kate was talking about help four days a week. Now she claims her kids are the help.

Although, I don't doubt she's let go of the nanny. The kids' needs will be the first thing she cuts. It's no skin off her back, she can still go to her bedroom to watch The Voice like usual. The kids will use be left to entertain themselves instead of a loving nanny to give them what kids need.

Is Kate lying about adult help or is she cutting back now on those extraneous expenses?

@Kateplusmy8 do you do everything by yourself or do you hire some help? #toughjob

Kate Gosselin
@novasstar lol. I DO have help.. But it's my kids! Does that count as help? Lol
--------------------

MY take on this, is that Kate is being her usual "sneaky" self when answering a question....

She is taking the original question to mean, "do you do everything yourself" WITH REGARDS TO SORTING THE CLOTHES. Remember how she is? She won't necessarily lie - but she will be very clever & creative with her responses...in this case, she appears to be the "do it all herself" mom with regards to everything - cooking, cleaning, gardening, landscaping, etc.

We all know darn well that she still has a lot of help - and she does not do everything herself...but she can always claim, "Oh, I thought the question referred to me sorting the clothes."

Remember who we're dealing with here.

It's all "Kate-speak."

I wonder how Kate's fan feels about Kate lying to her about her contract ending. You know isn't that exactly what a 15 year old would do? You know the age Kate is stuck at.

Hey Mom, you asked if I was out until midnight, I told you no. I wasn't LYING, as I was out until 1 a.m.! ADULTS, Kate? Don't play such childish games.

If you consign clothes, they usually give you a better deal with store credit. I have a friend who consigns everything. So, she will go with last summers clothes, trade them in for credit, and walk out with this summers clothes. Make sense?
They do tend to be really picky about the condition of things, so I don't bother.
The best thing where I live is the Mom's sales at the Expo Centers. They give you 40% (vs 30% at stores), allow you to shop the "early" hours, and will donate whatever you don't sell at the end of it so you don't have to worry about picking clothes back up (unless you want to.) You can usually find 2 shirts or pants or shorts there for $4. And good quality stuff. I got two Ralph Lauren pants for $4. A mini bolen dress for $12. The last day is half off.
Kate could blog about these or even sell ad space on her blog, but I doubt she'll think of that!

I love that when she says she DONATES her clothes, it's to FRIENDS who want handmedowns. I wouldn't call that donating! (and if I were her friend, I'd find that insulting!)

Kate, you idiot. Are you so stupid that you don't know that there are others who read here who do know exactly what school "uniforms" cost? The kids can wear khaki pants and white polos, or black or khaki shorts and maroon shirts, with various combinations thereof. These are not expensive uniforms/school clothing. You do not have to spring for regulation jumpers, kilts, etc., because most of the students wouldn't be caught dead in them. You can buy their shorts, pants, etc. at KMart, Penney, Old Navy and even Wal Mart and nobody would know the difference. You buy them on sale! They wear just as well as those purchased at LL Bean or other name stores. Nobody has ever said to my kids, "Oh, you got your shorts at Sears and your shirt at Old Navy."

She is such a grand-stander and makes so much ado about nothing.

I have to say I have never had a single parent at that school contact me, at least not someone who admits it. The people who contact me are friends, ex-employees, and family members. Also maybe parents feel it would be hurtful to the kids to come here and trash their mother. I can't fault them for that.

I don't know 700 bucks sounds about right to me. It's than 100 bucks a kid. If that includes shoes, that sounds cheap actually. And she's right, it is a lot less money than what you would spend decking them out with regular clothes what with the way kids demand to wear something new every day.

I have to say she does have a point, you usually save money by wearing uniforms. But not enough to ever make up for the tuition. I guess this is sot of like buying a second car to save gas. Heh.

Anonymous is enforced if people are using it to commit drivebys. And most people do follow this rule so without this rule in place a lot more people might using anonymous without realizing it's a problem. If I didn't have that rule who knows how many anonymous-es would be here and how confusing it would get.

The problem is blogger is annoying and some people legitimately have trouble posting. They sign their name if they use anonymous.

Just like in life, some rules are enforced more strictly than others for various reasons.

My friend's mom has a huge house and my friend and I used to clean it once a month. It would take us the weekend (we did a very good job) and we split $300.00. We did it every month so it really was in a some instances us cleaning up after ourselves if that makes sense. We would hit the high spots one month and rotate them out the next. We spent more time in the kitchen and bathrooms and we polished anything that would shine. Her mother would be out of town which made it easier, and she would get the wow factor when she got back home. That was several years ago so I am sure she is paying more than that now. She would always tell us if something comes up and you don't have a lot of time just do the floors, the kitchen and the bathrooms. Which always makes me wonder who does all the hardwood floors (they may be the laminate ones) at KTs. The ones we did were the old hardwood and it was so nice to look back and see those gleaming floors as we would work our way out the door, doing the floors last.

Found this from her CC blog re : shoes- *so helpful*

Each season, I take an entire day (it’s on my to-do list right now!) and spend it in my basement sorting clothing. I have countless bins of hand-me-downs that are labeled with the size of clothing each bin contains. I also have many smaller bins containing shoes that are also marked with sizes.

The hand-me-downs come from Cara and Mady and from friends’ kids. I have been doing my bin method since I’ve had 8 kids. I can’t tell you how much money I have saved by “shopping” in my basement!

The main problem with Kate's future earning potential is the same one that pretty much ruined all of her past jobs: extreme narcissism. There are tons of very successful narcissists out there. Yet Kate is sooooooo screwed up that she has sabotaged nearly every opportunity that's come her way. Her complete inability to take and follow good advice has, in the end, closed every door. It's as if she has revealed a whole new mental disorder, Aggressive Narcissism

Dallas Lady said...

Tamara, I agree.

But also, successful narcissists usually have something going for them that at least partially makes up for the narcissism.

Talent in some area, or lots of smarts. My narcissist mother managed to earn a PhD and was/is a brilliant woman, but her attitude and complete inability to get along with ANYONE meant she could never really make a go of her career, despite being so smart and learned (and it took her 8 years to complete the PhD because she kept stopping, claiming some professor or other was "out to get her" or "didn't understand her work" or some other paranoid fantasy).

I follow quite a few actors I like on Twitter, and have realized that a lot of them have some narcissism to some degree (not all, but definitely quite a few). However, they are also very talented actors/singers/dancers, etc. There's something there to offset the assholery.

Not so with Kate. She is talentless.

PJ's momma said...

Oh, I think God does always answer our prayers. Sometimes the answer is a big fat NO!

Dallas Lady said...

I STILL want to know what exactly she's planning to do for the short term and long term?

Short term meaning raising her kids. She still has 10-11 years of raising a total of eight kids. Sure, child support from Jon, but kids are expensive, even when you whittle things down to just the basics.

Long term meaning providing for herself now to the end of her life. If she blows through her savings and doesn't find another job, how exactly does she think she can even support herself?

Girlfriend is going to be living in a one bedroom apartment somewhere, lucky to be eating frozen dinners by herself. She'll go on and on to the grocery store checker about the time she was at the Emmys and had a show on TV, but the checker won't know who she is and will just roll her eyes and assume she's a crazy old lady.

Dallas Lady said...

Oh and she can forget about a sugar daddy. They want a young woman and not an asshole who will emasculate them at every turn and spend all their money with nothing in return, if you know what I mean.

Anonymous said...

There are apparently levels of being a narcissist. The level of, "I think I'm smarter than you," or, "Self-centered completely on one thing about themselves,"

But then you have Kate's type which I see as, "You should be THANKFUL I do things!" or "How can I get this person to do something that will benefit ME?"

I think maybe people can work and be very narcissistic and selfish and controlling, but with Kate if someone doesn't do what she wants or how she wants things she's going to cut you off because you didn't do what SHE thought you should. Argo, job opportunities are lost on her because she won't even go with, "Let's see what you've got, just as long as it benefits ME." No she's more of the, "If you don't like what I want then forget you. I will find someone who will better serve MY needs."

Oh, what the heck, I'm going to ask. Is narcissism something someone is born with, like a character flaw or it something that they develop over time through either nurture or nature whichever?

Tamara said...

Dallas Lady, the scary truth is that popping out 2 sets of multiples WAS a viable 'talent'. Kate could have rode that to 50x more wealth and 20x more public attention. But she somehow managed to screw up nearly every opportunity tossed her way after the initial success in gaining a reality tv programme.

Dallas Lady said...

Marie, what you're describing is the difference between selfish tendencies in otherwise normal people and people who have the actual personality disorder of narcissism.

Kate IS odious, to be sure, but among narcissists, she's pretty garden variety. In other words, if someone truly has this particular personality disorder, they ARE this bad. Truly.

It is completely foreign to them to think of others. Having a conversation not centered on them is so incredibly difficult as to be nearly impossible. Their personality is DISordered.

And even though you'd think children, their own flesh and blood, would crack that personality disorder and reveal some humanity, you'd be wrong. When they are very little, narcissists just see their kids as a glorious extension of their glorious self. When they get older and can speak and have their own thoughts and feelings and desires, they have no use for them and in fact, find them quite troublesome to have around.

When you have a narcissist in your life, you know it, even if you don't know what it's called. Something feels wrong and you feel it in your gut. Every conversation with them leaves you feeling strangely put off, down, confused as to what just happened.

PJ's momma said...

Oh my goodness. After explaining her absence to a demanding milo, Kate responded to a picture someone sent - of their dead child. Only she didn't read the next tweet that said the baby died in September, just sent a trite 'cute baby!' tweet. Yikes.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I think the difference between Kate and other narcissists who make great livings is that Kate is a lazy POS. You can be a narcissist and also be a workaholic. Some narcissists are lazy, some aren't. Kate is definitely the former. Many people in Hollywood are bonafide narcissists but still work their butts off to an absurd degree, like getting very little sleep, never relaxing and enjoying the fruits of their labor, never spending time with their family. I would venture to say that the narcissists who are lazy never make it to Hollywood, while the workaholic narcissists do.

Also I think what you will find with these workaholics is that they are happy to work their butts off in order to get the part in the next big movie, but doing something as simple as helping their child with a math problem is just to much time and work for them and so they pay large amounts of money for nannies and tutors to handle that.

Here's some more about it:
Narcissists have strange work habits. Normal people work for a goal or a product, even if the goal is only a paycheck. Normal people measure things by how much they have to spend (in time, work, energy) to get the desired results. Normal people desire idleness from time to time, usually wanting as much free time as they can get to pursue their own thoughts and pleasures and interests. Narcissists work for a goal, too, but it's a different goal: they want power, authority, adulation. Lacking empathy, and lacking also context and affect, narcissists don't understand how people achieve glory and high standing; they think it's all arbitrary, it's all appearances, it's all who you know. So they try to attach themselves to people who already have what they want, meanwhile making a great show of working hard. Narcissists can put in a shocking amount of time to very little effect. This is partly because they have so little empathy that they don't know why some work is valued more highly than other work, why some people's opinions carry more weight than others'. They do know that you're supposed to work and not be lazy, so they keep themselves occupied. But they are not invested in the work they do -- whatever they may produce is just something they have to do to get the admiration and power they crave. Since this is so, they really don't pay attention to what they're doing, preferring the easiest thing at every turn, even though they may be constantly occupied, so that narcissists manage to be workaholics and extremely lazy at the same time. Narcissists measure the worth of their work only by how much time they spend on it, not by what they produce. They want to get an A for Effort. Narcissists lack empathy, so they don't know what others value or why. Narcissists tend to value things in quantitative ways and in odd quantities at that -- they'll tell you how many inches of letters they received, but not how many letters or from how many correspondents; they know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

But I think random famous actor we all know may still have a legitimate case of narcissism, it's just not nearly as bad as Kate's. If you were to assign a degree of seriousness on a scale of 1 to 10, Kate would probably be a 9, while someone like say Kevin Costner only a 6.

Still, we've said before Kate needs to just take a few extra seconds to read a person's tweet feed before responding. She'd find out some guys who tweet her tweet really inappropriate stuff to other people or use a picture of a penis as their avatar or they are actually tweeting you a picture of a baby who has since died.

It would be helpful if she could bother to do that. But hell, she can hardly be bothered to take care of her own kids. Taking ten seconds to research someone's tweets before responding would be asking too much, I'm sure.

I think a lot of fans are fantasizing. They are fantasizing that they work for Kate, or are her best friend, and need their support, advice and even more.

I've seen this before. Give a fan an inch all of a sudden they are trying to "manage" your career. Fans will do a lot of unsolicited things for you I've learned, and it gets to be creepy. On the one hand a lot of celebs will just let it happen because then they don't have to pay someone to do it--i.e., answer tweets, work with the fan mail, set up meet and greets, etc. On the other hand you have to put up with the weirdest people who want to take such a thing on. It's kind of deja vu watching the same phenomenon happen with Kate.

There is such a huge problem with all the attention and favoritism Kate gives Milo. I think someone like her would think they are Kate's assistant based on just a few tweets from Kate. But Kate tweets her daily sometimes several times a day. At this point Milo must think they are in a real relationship, heck even a domestic praetorship. She seems always to be coaching Kate, trying to coax her to say certain types of things or drawing her out in ways that she thinks will show Kate in a beneficial light. It is almost like she has appointed herself as the "assistant director" of Kate's Twitter "episodes."

===================

Gift, I've been wondering about this, too. I came to the conclusion that Milo KNOWS Kate is a troubled person but wants to protect her from the ramifications of her troubled ways. Milo coaxes Kate about church because she pretty much knows Kate doesn't go, but thinks she should. She coaxes Kate to always mention Shoka because Milo believes talking about the dog will cast Kate in a better light. Meanwhile, if anyone calls Kate out on not going to church, for example, Milo argues them down. Milo knows Kate is messed up, but is trying to help Kate conceal that. I think Milo is co-dependent.

This sounds like Milo to me:

"Codependency--tendency to behave in overly passive or excessively caretaking ways that harm one's relationships and quality of life. It also often involves placing a lower priority on one's own needs, while being excessively preoccupied with the needs of others.[1] Codependency can occur in any type of relationship, including family, work, friendship, and also romantic, peer or community relationships.[1] Codependency may also be characterized by denial, low self-esteem, excessive compliance, or control patterns. Narcissists are considered to be natural magnets for the codependent."

So Kate the narcissist draws Milo the codependent in like a magnet! It sure is a creepy, bizarre relationship.

Virginia Pen Mom said...

Oops, sorry, this should be the first part of the definition of codependency:

"Codependency (or codependence, co-narcissism or inverted narcissism) is unhealthy love and a tendency to behave..."

I thought it was fascinating that it was called inverted narcissism.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Codependency is just a nice way of saying you are obsessed with someone.

And codependency is so unhealthy that I have seen judges order therapy to address it. They do this all the time actually.

Gift of grab said...

That's very interesting, VA Pen Mom, I like the "inverted narcissism" idea.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would be pissed if someone were constantly pushing and prodding me to answer questions in a certain way, or taking the liberty--as she has often done--of answering them FOR me.

I have to say, I don't believe that she is truly dangerous; I have read comments of hers elsewhere in cyberspace, and she can be quite sane when she wants. Deluded, maybe, but sane nonetheless. She takes on a certain "dumbed-down" character when she engages Kate on Twitter--an "aw shucks" kind of gal, country, wholesome, naive (willfully), sometimes mischievous--that is mostly absent in other settings where she has posted.

Based on what she's said about her life (of course, who knows what's true?), she's happily married, nice home, couple of kids, loves her dog and cat. I just don't get the Kate connection. What could she possibly think she has in common with that woman?

Every tweet Kate sends her way just deepens her delusional thinking. I am petrified for Kate and the kids should Kate ever chose to limit contact with her.

======================

Yes, why would Kate feed Milo's delusions? It makes no sense to any sane person. (I just answered my own question, didn't I...) Maybe because of the constant flattery, Kate feels Milo is "safe." ("Safe" meaning a die-hard feeder of Kate's ego.)

Kate seems absolutely clueless that this type of obsession is unsafe and even dangerous. As long as the flattery feeds the beast--Kate's ego--and feeds Milo's girl-crush obsession, they're both happy. The other day Milo referred to Kate's "pretty little eyes" or something like that. It was really inappropriate and creepy. I do think Milo has worked hard to ingratiate herself with Kate (for whatever reason) and has succeeded. Milo often tells curious tweeters that she and Kate connect because they're "so much alike."

Tamara said...

Has Milo reached out to other famous/infamous people via twitter? It could be that Kate was the only one whom responded so Milo took up her cause. Not because she likes or admires her, but because she was the only option. Kate's the closest Milo could get to fame.

I think Milo is Kate's "golden" fan just like she has golden children. God knows why, I think Kate thinks she can most easily manipulate the shut ins and feeble minded. I think she even picked her out subconsciously.

Fascinating psychological situation here.

All that said doesn't Kate, even if she does favor Milo, have a healthy sense that it's just UNFAIR to everyone else that tweets her to constantly only tweet one? At least TRY to pretend you are giving everyone equal treatment?

Personally I don't think it's fair for a celeb to tweet the same fan over and over. It's shitty.

You know, I have to agree with you. I think Milo loves the attention, but I don't think she'd really snap and harm Kate or the kids. (Still, who knows?) Most people would find Milo's type of cloying attention and needling incredibly irritating. But Kate responds to it...which really says something about Kate.

I do think Kate has no clue how to evaluate someone's ability to be harmful (based on her responding to all kinds of questionable characters.) You probably know more about Milo than Kate does...

Thanks VA Pen Mom. I don't know what we will do with it - yet! I haven't really pursued the publishing.
I'd like to make a series of books about Peter the Dog and his adventures, loosely based on my dog's activities. All would have the underlying message to adopt pets from a shelter.
I'm hoping to get another one done this summer and then we will see where I can take them.
It's nice to have support!

Do you mean that she's just an obnoxious pest and wins the "Most Annoying Sheeple of the Year" award?

The problem is that nobody really knows who she is, if she is a she, or if she is using this folksy, in-your-face persona just to get close to Kate. These are the kind that explode when ignored. When she's the center of attraction, she's fine, but what happens if Kate would block her? Maybe Kate is aware of this and knows that to block her could possibly spell trouble for her. Does Kate have any reasoning ability?

Look at BigFan. She flipped sides faster than a New York minute when Kate blocked her. One second she idolized her; next second she thought Kate was a raving beeotch. I don't think I'd want to be around if Kate and BF were in the room together.

I have a feeling that Milo wouldn't be too happy if Kate ignored her. After all, Kate IS her life, her reason for waking, and for going to sleep (dreams of Kate).

These are the ones who, historically, have been dangerous.

Wonder what Kate's going to do when people lose interest in her kids. I mean kids at 11 and almost 8 years old...hate to say it, but the cute factor wares off I think. Happens to everybody.

Yeah, I know Kate, it'll be a touch break for you when you realize your kids are just as average as the boy or girl down the street. No matter how long she continues to dress them up identically. By then it will just be weird with a bunch of kids dressing a like.

I at least hope come summer Kate will have managed to scrounge up enough money to take her kids to the 'local beach,' while she heads for her cruise (if it happens).

Her kids will be what, 8 and in the second grade? I hope they have a smoother year ahead of them.

Does tuition go up every year or does it only go up when you go from lower to middle to upper school? I know it's got to be expensive...where does she get the money? Her couch?

Sorry folks, I must be a horrible mom then because my youngest wears her sister's hand me downs including shoes. If Kate wants to work in reality TV (or any TV) she'd better watch what she says about other reality shows, i.e., Dance Moms. I think she did try to pitch a show and was shot down which is why she seems to be bitter about that show. Kate, producers, directors, make up artists, well hell, everyone in the business talks. Get off your high horse Kate. You're no better than anyone else on reality TV, in fact you're worse because you rode to fame at the expense of your kids' privacy.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Kate should be careful about burning bridges in general. Productions don't like to work with people who trash talk, they are too problematic. This goes for most industries where you are in the public eye. Very few controversial figures "work." It is almost always better to play it safe and shut up.

Also, since she came out and denied the Dance Moms story, what a perfect opportunity to apologize for Melissa for her comment the other week, let her know hey no hard feelings, I didn't mean that. But does she even think to do such a thing, of course not.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Now that the Dance Moms have their formula they film at the studio, up in the box at the studio, and at competitions.

There is rarely if ever any filming at home. There is rarely if ever filming of anything personal that doesn't have to do with dance. Dads, siblings, non-dance friends are rarely filmed.

Dance Moms has it's problems but at least they've cut out a HUGE problem I had with Kate's shows, how personal it got. It's pretty impersonal actually, more like filming a child's "job" but not really getting to the heart of who that child is (and hence, invading their privacy).

--------------------------
It isn't as much of an "unwritten code" as it is people around here pretty much don't give a crap about her.

The other thing is the part that the Admin and Berks Neighbor touched upon which is that in many cases any kind of public "spilling of the beans" would ultimately be harmful to the children.

Berks Neighbor said... 80

I will say though, I have NEVER seen Steve out in our area with Kate (unless filming was going on)while I've seen her shopping or with the kids. He is either her secret boyfriend or her paid escort. He is not a bodyguard because he doesn't do anything to protect those children (or Kate for that matter) It's more as though his a glorified manager.
-------------------
I concur. Neither myself, nor anyone I know, has ever seen Steve out and about. But he's always around when Kate travels. What that says to me is that there is no affair. If he was around all the time, people would see him from time to time. I really think he's just hired security.

The problem is that Kate long ago justified the need for security after an incident at a Philly TV studio when she allegedly saw one of her kids on a stranger's lap. So in order to protect her children, she hired a bodyguard. For herself. Mostly when she was away from the children.

I can't stand talkers. I can't stand people that talk about what business they WILL start at some point or what trip they WILL take or what blog they WILL set up. These are the people with hair-brained ideas who end up blowing all their family's money the loaned them within the year, then are onto their next hair-brained idea. Never really 100% dedicated to anything, they just like the IDEA of doing things. That's enough for them.

I like do-ers. People who say they will do something or want something then get busy getting what they want. I have very few friends who are talkers. It's one reason I don't like Kate, I can't stand her talk.

Silimom, You don't sound like a bad mom to me. Used shoes can be fine. I too hate to see myself doing something that people are discussing as bad of kate....but really..I think the reason kate gets picked on for EVERYTHING is that she is so full of crap.
1st off there are 2 twins and 3 little girls. So which 2 get the used shoes and what does Hannah get?
Also, kate can AFFORD new shoes for her kids. Hell, they worked too. Why should kate have a closet full of new shoes and the kids have used?

Also..if we saw any evidence it was even TRUE then would be another thing and probably would not even be thought twice of. I cannot remember ever seeing the Gosselin's in anything old, used, or handed down. Unless kate gets handmedowns from another family of tups who NEVER stain their clothes then I'm calling BS.

If the kids ARE wearing used clothing/shoes then it's a new trend that started once TLC stopped paying for the kids wardrobe and if that's true then kate needs to start wearing used as well. it sounds idiotic that kate wears a $450 dress yet bemoans the $700 year spent on uniforms. That's $100 per kid per year. TWO of kates dresses make up the family uniform budget. See why it's annoying when she does the poor mouth kids/rich mouth kate crap?

If kate lived it - and not just talked about it - then I doubt anyone would even comment. It's her constant say one thing so another that wears thin.

Hearing kate talk about used clothes is like hearing her talk about being green. It's BS once you see the stacks of paper plates and daily waste. Her tweets about handmedowns are just another episode for her Twit Show. She still thinks she has to play poor so that the freebies will come. She forgets people dont give freeies without free advertisement and kate can no longer offer that. Heck, she doesn't even know how to promote on twitter

I'm sure your personal situation is very different from the rich/poor hybrid that is kate Gosselin's. Also, I admire you for being thrify and proud. There is so much waste and excess in this world. I don't think you are doing ANYTHING wrong because I have the feeling you are not sitting in a $450 prom dress typing about your daughters hand-me-down shoes.

kate's a hypocrite, that's what bothers me, not the fact that her kids wear hand me downs.

Dislike talkers too Admin. They are always GOING to do something. Either do it or shut your yap. ugh

I think that knowing that kate is a talker is what made her marathon so shocking when she 1st did it. Everyone was surprised the Queen of the White Thone DID something and didn't just TAKE something handed to her. She actually even got a little attention out of that because it was kinda news. kate Gosselin got of her rump!

On another note though..
I am still in the conspiracy group that thinks something was hinky - like she ran half and cheated, it's just a gnawing feeling I get that that comes from her own behavior before and after the run. I could go on and on but I can sum it up saying she has NO CLUE what she is talking about when she discusses running. How can that be if she is a marathon runner (slow time or not.)
Hate to say it but I would need to see a camera on her the entire 5 hours to believe she ran a full marathon.

On another note. The pic kate has in her twitter...her face is much fuller and younger looking. Also look the pic Admin posted of kate on a horse, same thing..looks better then. THis is only a year or 2 ago!! That extra 5-10 lbs did wonders for kate's looks. This long scraggly blond hair atop a bobblehead look is aging her. She looks best with hair to collorbone and 5-10 extra lbs on her frame.
She needs fat in her diet. Her skin looks bad, her hair looks bad and her body looks wrong at the current weight. I usually stay away from these type of comments because she is not physically ugly, but this new "healthy kate" does not look healthy. Runners know they need to eat. I think kate is dieting hardcore to LOOK like a runner, yet the muscle tone is all wrong.
Just my opinion as always.

Why does Milo spaz when kate is off twitter for 7 hours? I thought kate's whole premise was of a busy mom of 8. Why would a busy mom of 8 have time to tweet all day on Sunday afternoon. WOuldn;t kate be busy organising (hate that word now)clothes, preparing dinner, getting ready for school week etc.
Sheep praise kate for "doing it all" but panic when she actually does something. kate being off twitter should actually show these twits that kate accomplishes very little when she actually tweeting.
So ..milo prefers the attenetion on herself and not on the kids? Am I getting that right? Wouldn't this superfan PREFER kate get off twitter and focus on her family instead of cyber friends.
People are strange. I'm glad kate appeared to have peeled herself away and spent some family time, even if it was for chores.

I'll say it again, a blog is not that hard. Many people have full time jobs and run great blogs. How much you put into it is up to you but you can still run a decent one on only a minimal amount of time. For what you get on Kate's web site you could probably spend an hour a day on it and have a great web site. Kate doesn't even work! It pathetic that Kate's blog isn't up to snuff. It's pathetic all this time later there are still "coming soon" sections.

It's probably been discussed, and I'm sorry I don't remember. Sorry, I have a habit of having a bit of interest in court I guess. But I only ever took one course that was in criminal justice.

Since Jon works what, 2 jobs, Kate works barely one as of part-time. Jon pays I am assuming the full-amount of child support that was originally asked for. Do you have to ask for the amount of child support or is it automatically garnished from one's wages?

She has no job, no aspirations for a real job other than hoping reality TV will coming knocking. Why do judges still demand father's pay the bulk of child support while mother's seem to just get off basically for free?

I mean I absolutely know if Jon had won custody and he sat at home all day people would be livid that he wasn't earning anything for the kids. It's a fact everybody knows it.

Assuming this judge has a favoritism towards mothers, which I've seen happen. Okay so she has the house...who has the better income? Isn't that what is really looked at when deciding best interest of the children? Kate's pretty much so it seems going to be flat broke. When you've got nothing coming in and a lot going out...well, just say it doesn't usually end well.

Least a judge could do is look at Kate's talk of Jon "trying," and compare it to her own self, what is she trying? Pretty much nothing.

People just shouldn't expect Twitter/Facebook or blogs whatever to be there to bail them out or give them the world. It's pathetic, irresponsible and frankly...well, yeah, idiotic.

I think if anything Kate's dependent on people to be there in some way or another. I don't know is she really standing on her own two feet? Probably not. What adult doesn't want to stand on their own two feet? Aren't most people proud of that? I'd be really embarrassed if I went through life depending upon strangers to give me handouts as is I have a hard time even accepting money I know I've earned let alone a handout.

*****

Lol! Nope, no $450 prom dress here. That went towards Girl Scout cookies (okay, maybe not $450, but a much larger amount than I care to admit!).

Thanks for the kind words, EM. We've got 5 kids and we do hand me downs frequently. Frankly, my kids grow out of their clothes faster than they wear them out, in our experience. They have school uniforms at their public school, so that's one of the reasons why their play clothes don't see too much wear and tear. Can't say the same about the uniforms. (Not to worry, though. Both girls, including the youngest, do get "first run" clothing as well.)

I think what irked me more than anything was the "OMG! Kate's making her kids wear hand me down shoes! I'd NEVER do that! They don't fit right, they smell! Oh, the horror!" responses.

Now, don't get me wrong, I do understand it's the hypocrisy of Kate making her kids wear hand me downs while she's wearing designer clothes, grifted or not, that gets to most people. It does me too.

However, is it really necessary to be as melodramatic as Kate when responding or commenting? It just comes across, at least to me, as a case of "Look at what a good mom I am, especially compared to Kate Gosselin!" attention seeking at times. Again, not saying that's how it was intended, just how I read it.

Personally, I don't need to compare myself to Kate Gosselin to know that I'm a better mom in many ways (Perfection has thus far eluded me) or to prove to strangers that I am. And I don't think that the moms on this board need to do it either. If you think less of us who pass down our children's clothes or shoes, that's your issue, not mine, as far as I'm concerned. It's no skin off my nose.

However, please remember, in your attempts to knock Kate down a few notches on the parenting peg, you may be inadvertently causing someone who isn't as self confident to question a practice that may be helping their family save money for other needed things. For some, this is a sensitive issue.

Man, I was going to go to bed, and then all these interesting comments keep popping up! :-)

To the best of my knowledge, Marie, Jon's support was reduced from the $25,000 a month that was bandied when they were first divorced to about $1000 a month, much more in line with what he earns in IT. I suspect if he's working two jobs it's so he can support himself and the kids in addition to the support he pays to Kate. He also probably has outstanding debt from his "Lost Summer" that he's trying to pay off.

" Why do judges still demand father's pay the bulk of child support while mother's seem to just get off basically for free?"

I can't speak for PA, but in CA, the courts generally use a child support calculator. The algorithm uses a variety of factors to calculate support, including how much time each child spends with the father or mother. If Jon indeed had the primary custody of the kids out here, Kate could be expected to contribute more support. Heck, if her financial situation was far better off than Jon's, she could potentially be expected to pay HIM support even if she had the kids more. While judges have the final say in CA, in my experience they generally abide by what the calculator says.

If you're really interested, here are the two calculators:

PA's child support is messed up. If the child spends nine months out of the year with the mother, who has primary physical custody, and is with the father for three months of the year (summer vacation), the father still pays the same amount of child support to the mother, even though the mother isn't supporting them during those months. I doubt that she did that, either, but because she didn't tweet her and apologize doesn't necessarily mean that she didn't send her a private e-mail, does it?

Regarding Kate's blog. I think that she has a very short attention span. She goes gung-ho over something and gets tired of it very quickly. silimom said...

She's Nuts - I'd have to research more, but I think that's in line with how the calculators work. They take the total time spent with the child and average that out over the year to determine support.

In your friend's scenario, reducing the amount of child support in the summer would mean then increasing it over the 9 months they didn't have the child.

It's like the payroll options I had as a teacher. My salary was, say, $45,000. I could be paid that $45K over 9 months - which would mean more money in my paycheck but then no paycheck in the summer - or I could opt to be paid 12 months a year, which would mean a continuous paycheck but less each month.

Your friend has to pay x amount of $ in child support based on earnings/taxes/expenses ( health care and retirement and mortgage) and time spent with the child. That amount never changes. The court decided it will be distributed over 12 months. If they changed it to 9 months, their total child support owed wouldn't change, but then they'd have to pay xx more $ per month and the court may see that that would be a hardship for your friend.

I hope this made sense.

I have primary custody of my girls, and they spend 4 weeks each summer with their other parent.
Thinking that child support should be eliminated for that month is wrong.

The primary parent shoulders the majority of the kid's expenses. Even if the child is gone during that time, there is still rent, utilities, cellphones, monthly extra-curricular activities due whether the child attends or not, health expenses. If the kids are older, there are car payments and car insurance premiums.

In my case, my ex pays the bare minimum, has NEVER offered to help with any of the older four kid's cars, insurance, OR COLLEGE EXPENSES..not one freakin' dime. (And he just retired from banking, he is also a trust fund baby).
I can't take him to court, since I have the brunt of raising the kids AND paying for college (I've had at least one kid in college every year since 2005). I don't have the money to go to court and he knows it.
My kids see who the struggling parent is, the one that is doing their dangest to see that their needs are met.
I hope he enjoys his money, cuz that is all he has.
So yes, the primary custody parent needs child support each month.
Rant over! :)

Let me clarify something I said. Child support owed can be adjusted based on changing life circumstances, such as if you have additional childen from a new relationship or you lose your job, etc.

But I do believe Milo is in danger. When your life is in the balance & your doctors won't tell you a reality show has been canceled for fear your health will deteriorate, there's something very wrong. Milo frets & frets if she doesn't hear from Kate in a few hours. She says things like, "I see you with your kids..." "I see you running & I see myself running beside you..."

If Kate ever shut down her twitter or cut off Milo, I don't think Milo would have a reason to live. My opinion is that Milo's a much bigger threat to herself than she is to Kate.

Not that Milo could travel to PA, but she'd be more likely to pull a stunt like Paula Abdul's stalker & hurt herself in front of Kate's gate than ever hurt Kate.

Saturday night was very telling. Kate said she's playing a game with Mady & Cara then calling it a night. Milo went on & on tweeting Kate, trying to get her attention. It just proved to me, that like most fans, Milo sees the kids as more of a nuisance than an attraction, because they distract Kate from the important things in life ... her "tweethearts".

If Milo is who she says she is, a 50-something woman who's body is a mess because she tried to run like Kate & ruined her joints, I don't think Kate's in danger.
__________________________________________

Milo suffers from osteonecrosis.

Osteonecrosis occurs when part of the bone does not get blood and dies. After a while the bone can collapse. If this condition is not treated, the joint will deteriorate and this will become severe arthritis.

Osteonecrosis can be caused by disease, or a severe trauma, such as a break or dislocation, that affects the blood supply to the bone. Many times, no trauma or disease is present. This is called "idiopathic osteonecrosis" -- meaning it occurs without any known cause.

The following can cause osteonecrosis:

Long-term treatments with steroids

Excessive alcohol use

Sickle cell disease

Radiation therapy

Gaucher disease

Decompression sickness from a lot of deep sea diving

Dislocation or fractures around a joint

Some diseases that may be associated with the development of this condition include:

Gout

Atherosclerosis

Diabetes

When osteonecrosis occurs in the shoulder joint, it is usually due to long-term treatment with steroids or a history of trauma to the shoulder.

Some of the "haters" on Twitter said Milo's condition was caused by trying to run like Kate. That is utterly ridiculous.

I doubt that she did that, either, but because she didn't tweet her and apologize doesn't necessarily mean that she didn't send her a private e-mail, does it?

Tonight is the premiere of the new season of Dancin' With Them There Stars! One of my favorite reality competition shows. it has me thinking about Ms Kreider's missed opportunity. She had the chance to show everyone she was plucky and hard working and become Americas favorite mom. Instead she showed how whiny and complaining and hard headed she was. She never really looked good, and the costumers and makeup artists on that show are so good, I am convinced she either was really nasty to them or refused to listen to their advice. She was not even bad in an entertaining way. If you are bad but funny or entertaining, Vote for the Worst will support those contestants. They never thought Ms Kreider was entertaining enough to support. VftW only suggested voting for Ms Kreider because she annoyed so many people, but she was not entertaining enough for the VftW power voting to get behind her.
(I love Vote for the Worst)
All Ms Kreider succeeded in doing was to start a Free Tony movement, to help her professional partner escape her clutches. Oh, and that weird thing at the finale of her season where they put her in a cherry picker and Tony and the host ended up laughing at her stuck up there with a camera up her nostrils.
She want even bad enough to be named the worst dancr of all sessions. That honor went to Kenny maybe of ESPN, tho I think it should have been Master P who proudly refused to put in practice time and proudly refused to wear the dance shoes and instead promoted his own sneaker line. He almost gave Len apoplexy! Ms Kreider just appalled the judges with her lack of rhythm. I loved it when Carrie Ann told Ms Kreider that they did not expect too much from her, since she was just a housewife. Bruno and his shopping cart comparison! Bruno calling her a bitch queen from hell! Funny to see Ms Kreider almost have apoplexy from the judges appraisal.
Who well be this season s surprise sweetheart and who will be spectacularly untalented? I will tine in to find out, and to see what Bruno says!

I wonder what Kate thinks when Dancing with the Stars begins. She has to remember being in the spot light, traveling, meeting with real celebrities and getting some large pay checks. Must seem like a distant dream for her. I wonder if she get depressed remembering all the "glory" days without a glimmer on her horizon for anything similar now.

out of town and just catching up, but it does look like K8 has spilled the beans on her paid household help - the housecleaner does not surprise me, but WTF about the babysiter 4x/ week. Seriously, she has her kids for 2 hours max in thr morning and maybe 4 afterschool and before bed. And no job all day while they are in school. Guess that explains her tweeting time during dinner. Well yes, sort of! It's not out of the realm of possibility that she does send private e-mails, and of course, we wouldn't know that. However, as I said, I seriously doubt it because I don't think it's something that Kate would typically do, which is to apologize! I don't think that she would actually be gracious enough to do it.

The child support thing - I know for a fact that in PA, his child support was not reduced during the summer, and no child support was increased. It has remained the same and the children are with him for the summer. His argument was "why should I pay for three months of child support to her when I'M the one who is supporting them during that time?" It didn't fly.

When I married a man who had children by a previous marriage, his child support was established based on those children. We had children together and the child support for the children with his ex was not reduced just because he had additional children. His employment was the same, and the child support remained the same. The ex-wife refused to work. PA is not flexible when it comes to reducing child support.

Did everyone see this from Rumor Fix:

After her stint on Dancing with the Stars, the National Enquirer is reporting that Kate Gosselin wants to be on the hugely popular show, Dance Moms.

The tabloid reports:
“Kate is obsessed with keeping her family in the limelight, and she’s been in serious talks with the Lifetime series’ producers to incorporate her daughters into the show.”
The former nurse has told the press that she doesn’t want to give up TV, but her ex-husband Jon Gosselin told RumorFix, “I will not sign for them [their kids] to be on TV ever.”

Executive Producer Jeff Collins says, “No and No.” Jeff wants to make it clear to everyone that he’s not in talks with the mom of eight or her kids.

And Kate, herself, is setting the record straight tweeting;

“anything you read in the natl enquirer is lies..Especially one with my name and dance moms together! Seriously? You had to ask?”

I think Kate's reputation precedes her. She's a nightmare to work with. Look at the reactions of people during her RV trip and Alaska. She's a piece of work and people know it.
I'm glad to hear that Jon is standing firm on keeping the kids off of television. "Reality TV" is about as real as Dolly Parton's boobies.

Speaking of Kate's bad behavior, my gawd, if I saw myself on TV acting like that, I'd have a come-to-Jesus-moment.
As Carrie Ann Anaba stated so precisely, Kate is extremely unaware of herself.

DWTS starts tonight. I hope it's a good season. Tony D. with with Martini Navratalova, so he's got a shot.
What a wtf? moment when Kate got the chance to choose the narrative of the personal story dance. Instead of doing something like dedicating the dance to a special someone(s) or a special cause, she chose the focus to be a pity party. Now Kate has tweeted Sherri Shepherd, asking her to say hello to 'her' hair and makeup artists. Haha! As if Sherri would see that in the thousands of responses she probably gets (much less respond) and as if the artists would be happy to have her hello. Too funny.

Sounds like Kate just got up and took to Twitter, hmm.

I agree with the Ambien suggestion above- didn't they say she took something on 'hairpanes' and was knocked out for the flight despite the kids' presence?

(Not that Ambien isn't ok to take if you need it. I have had bad insomnia due to night shifts as a mediocre nurse...)

PJ's momma, Kate's name dropping grates on me. I'm not sure if she does it to impress her die-hard fans or to impress herself. Probably both. The celebs she tweets don't give a rip what she tweets. Nothing embarrasses that woman. And does she think the hair and makeup people were doing her favors making her look the way she did? LOL

I'll repeat because it's so true: "Kate is extremely unaware of herself."

PJ's momma said...

Tweet-le, I vote for both. And agree with everything you say and said. She doesn't even seem capable of 'pretending' to be happy when she's being paid to do nothing except live her life. The only time she turns it on is when there's a mic shoved in her face and she's away from her kids.

I think that there's a reason Milo isn't going on the cruise. As nuts as she is over Kate - obsessed girl crush, really, lives and breathes Kate - she would find a way. I don't buy that her husband won't let her go. I think she's afraid that if Kate sees her (or him), that she's going to drop her like a hot potato. She's hinted several times about what Kate's reaction would be if they would meet. Something is clearly "off" there.

See, this is where I think milo comes very close to crossing the line with Kate. She's trying to get Kate to make some meaningful "profound" revelation. She just cannot accept that Kate is as vapid and vacuous as they come:

@Kateplusmy8 We know the skywalk was a hidden fear...but not ur dream? LOL What do U fear & yet still dream 2do Kate? #interesting? :)

@Kateplusmy8 Not many chances 2live a secret dream that's hidden deep inside. Step out&do something Ufear ~Sherri abt DWTS..what's ur dream?

And here is milo doing the first daily round of PR (this in response to a generic tweet from Sherri Shepherd about being on DWTS and showing a pic of her with Cynthia Romo, hair/makeup person):

@Kateplusmy8 @SherriEShepherd @Cynthia_Romo Ha...yep, remember the "kate was a diva" days...LOL...stupid rumor! Kate #down2earth gal! :)

"Stupid rumor"? I think there were more than enough comments from insiders to elevate the "rumor" from "stupid" to "very likely true."

The thing about hand me down shoes, I think is in one of her recent blogs, it's not a tweet.

As for hand me down shoes, no thanks, it's icky and disgusting, I would not want to wear someone elses shoes. The Duggars do that, they always buy used shoes, that is so wrong!, You can get very inexpensive shoes at Walmart, Kmart(on sale), Family Dollar, Big Lots, Walgreens, Target(on sale)and a couple of regular shoes stores(on sale)etc, it's not hard to find. I'm talkin $5-$10 shoes, the more fancy the higher the price. I would rather have new shoes than wear shoes that were shaped into someone elses feet. EHHHH! Kate is LAZY!

One more thing on shoes: to Silimom: I do understand where you are coming from: Snow boots, some flats, and flip-flops, & croc-like shoes, if they are in good condition, I would say yes to passing them down, only because, flats don't get woren a lot, Croclike can be washed, and snow boots(depending on where you live, depends on how much snow you get, tells you how much you will wear them) People here in Chicago, I've seen people wear sandles in the snow(crazy people), mostly snow boots, once things are shoveled, people wear sneakers. But, when Kate kids all wear the same shoes, at the start, the same shoes are gonna be woren out at the same time. Kate is cheap!

Tucker's Mom said...

anger issues kate-- I'm with you on wearing someone else's shoes, but that's just me and I think it's a great money saving tip for growing kids. However... the Duggar kids should ALL be wearing their own NEW shoes, having worked their entire lives.

Kate's Tips for Saving Money on Gas

I just heard that gas prices are going up AGAIN! I’m hearing that prices will go up to $5 per gallon in my area. Obviously, I am not happy about this. Here are a few things I have always done to conserve gas:

1. Since I have the option, I drive the appropriate-sized vehicle according to who and what I’m hauling. When we bought our first Dodge Sprinter, diesel prices per gallon were lower than regular gas prices. Fast forward a few years, and that is no longer the case. So, if I am “only” picking up four kids at the bus stop or “only” taking five to the dentist, I’ll take my SUV because it costs less. The same goes for me doing errands. It saves me money to drive my little car to do my daily errands while my kids are in school.

2. I use my gas points that I accumulate at my local grocery store. Yesterday, I saved 40 cents per gallon of gas because I used my points. Yay! I set a reminder on my phone so that I don’t miss the opportunity to redeem them.

3. When using my gas points, I always make sure my tank is on empty to get the best savings.

4. Sounds odd but I am not one to prestart my vehicles. I’m too thrifty to run an idle vehicle!

5. Whenever I find them, I take advantage of gas giveaways and contests. Click here to enter CouponCabin’s Great Gas Giveaway sweepstakes for your chance to win the grand prize of free gas until the end of the summer! You’ll also be entered for a chance to win the secondary prize – one of fifty $50 gift cards for gasoline.

Hope I didn’t “gas” too much on the subject, but here’s to you saving money on it! Below we’ve put together some of our best offers for everyday items. Stay home, order online and save money (and gas!).

Tweedle, I'm not trying to start an argument, but I clearly read Milo say more than once that she tried to run like Kate. She warned someone on Twitter about it & she wrote about it on the blogs. If she had that condition before she started trying to run she sounds more than crazy, but I stand by what I wrote. It came from the horse's mouth, er, phone keypad.

Now this is creepy. It doesn't seem to faze Kate though, does it? If someone tweeted something like that about my children, I'd be more than a little bit concerned. I'd be horrified.

What has she done to these kids?

Tucker's Mom said...

OK Kate. I'll buy 3 cars so I can choose the best one for my errands. Seriously?
Hey, DH and I have 3 cars but that's not the norm so I wouldn't disperse "saving money on gas" information based on that. That's just stupid.
Using grocery store points is great and most people can actually take advantage of that.
The biggest way to save money wasn't mentioned by Kate probably because it eludes her; DON'T SPEED! and use cruise control whenever possible. Also, keep your tires inflated.
Once again, she pretty much misses the mark and fails to even attempt make her recommendation relatable to the mediocre masses.

Then you get rid of one or more of the cars, dimwit!

Tucker's Mom said...

Oh dear lordybee, "pre staring" a car doesn't suck gas. Driving 30 miles over the speed limit, however, does. Kate can save money for gas by not paying speeding tickets.
There's a good tip, Kate.

Laurie said...

Why does she need to set a reminder on her phone to use the gas points? In AZ once you've plugged your info in the pump has a message telling you how much you have off per gallon and asks whether or not you want to use it. Are things that much different in PA or is Kate just trying to make herself seem more efficient than she really is?

Anonymous said...

You know I went through life until I was about 12 in hand-me-downs and I don't remember being ungrateful or embarrassed by it. Some kids are lucky to get free clothes to wear. Can't say I was always thrilled with the options but if you've got clothes on your back even if it's from a thrift store people sometimes just need to learn to appreciate it.

So Kate's kids won't get everything new like they're used to, life isn't all bad they have to have hand-me-downs (although how getting clothes from the twins works I don't know.)

Only thing I wish is that Kate herself would be a better example for her kids and learn to appreciate the clothing she's got and not appear in a new dress for whatever stupid event accepts her. Learn to re-wear things.

If you take care of the things you're given in life they might just last longer.

Shoes? Can't say I agree with it but then again plenty of people would be happy to even get to have shoes on their feet.

lol, Dallas! It's like she's putting the pedal to the metal to see how much she can get away with, how far she can go with Kate. I really do think that she could become dangerous if Kate would ignore her. I wouldn't trust that one farther than I could throw her. She's crazy, plain and simple. She just pushes it to the limit.

Can you imagine living with someone like that?
