Kate on Sirius radio with Christine and Molly's 'Broadminded' show

Shockingly, Kate talks about bra shopping for the twins and discussing the facts of growing up with them, but avoids personal questions about herself such as when she lost her virginity.

Hollywood Gossip

According to listeners (thanks!), among some other topics Kate is hitting from D.C.:

Kate loves tampon talk! Especially about her girls!
But her virginity? Now that's too personal.
  • Kate said she doesn't let the kids get on the internet without her because there's so much information out there about Jon and she doesn't want them to see it
  • They only eat healthy, balanced meals. She teaches the kids which foods make your body grow up versus make your body grow out.
  • The kids wanted to leave the Alaska camp ground and that if they had asked to stay she would have but they were wet and complaining so they left. The show didn't show that part. (No, Kate. That's not how it went down. Joel's exact quote was: "Actually, I do want to stay."
  • Her kids don't care if she discusses her kids
  • She can't work as a nurse because babysitter would cost more than she would make.

Someone asked above about her tweeting. She has been on a veritable rampage the last two days, due, no doubt, to the "high" she got from being "on air" again on Friday. In 11 months on Twitter, she is up to nearly 11,000 tweets. This averages out to 1,000 per month, 30+ per day. We all know there are plenty of days (dark side of bipolar?) when there are no or few tweets. So when she's "up" like this, she can easily do 60+ in a couple of hours.

This is HER LIFE, people! Besides her marginal care of 8 kids and her fake happiness, THIS IS IT, this is ALL there is. ALL she is doing now is trying to figure out how to both nurture and enhance the image. She seems to think Twitter is the way.

I think she's wrong.

Kate has said more than once that haterz are her motivation.
I'm willing to bet she includes Jon in that equation.

It sounds like she is trying to prove something to all of us - see how good I look (um, no), see how much I've accomplished (um, no), see how wonderful I am (um, no).

Kate, unlike your fans, we don't envy your expensive hair, clothes, shoes. We don't want to be public figures (good or bad).

We love our families and friends are are concerned for Jon's and your children. We wish you'd love your children more than you hate Jon.

We wish you'd mature emotionally beyond the age of 12. In a year or 2 at the most, your twins will be more mature than you. Think about it.

Takes such nerve to tell a fan they would take her job if given the chance. She still actually refers to it as a job. Keep telling yourself that. It was never a job Kate. It was a fame quest you had for you and only you.

I can't stand her. It gets worse and worse every day.

More bwahaha from K8''s fantasyland - she says she's having a RARE glass of wine, and so far the movie is great. WTF? She's twattering during famiily movie night, as if she hasn't been doing exactly that for at least 24 hours. Mom of the year for reals - anyone from that Ozark charity reading here about Role Model Kate?

As for apples and oranges, I strongly believe she could afford a movie if she gave up her fake bake sessions. Oh wait, don't want to cause a panic in the theatre when world famous K+8 show up for a matinee. Maybe someone told her you have to turn off your cell phone during the movie.

Yes, panic in the streets, in the movie theatre, the side show comes to town! What is so tragic about her thinking is that she actually believes it. She is robbing her children of any hope of a normal life because she still thinks she is a star, aka Angelina! Yes, she is well-known, but the best way to integrate back in to an ordinary life is to do ordinary things. Therein lies the problem, Kate wants to remain special, envied, and above all else separated from all things mediocre. Those kids have no chance of getting out of that prison anytime soon!

She in UNRELENTING, and will never, ever give up on her dreams, shallow as they are, that is all she has left.

senior citizen said...

So......... one of her dreams is to host SNL?

I once wanted to be one of the New Christy Minstrels. Or replace Mary Travers in Peter, Paul & Mary. (Peter, Paul & Sue just doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?)

Didn't happen to me and it isn't going to happen to her either. She should have learned her lesson when she begged to go to Austria!

She sounds 13 - the age I was when I had my above-mentioned dreams. Yet she's in her mid-30s with a 8 children and still talking like she is thirteen. Bizarre.

Westcoaster said...

Lindsey Lohan is hosting SNL tonight - love her or hate her, And as troubled as she is, K8 will never come close to her talent. And all her twattering today serves to remind just how immature and adolescent this 35+ woman is. Truly pathetic.

Nurses:
Yes, I am going there. Skip it if you don't like it.

When someone trashes Kate's hospital program, they are trashing everybody who shared the same educational experience. If there was consensus in the medical community that a BSN is the only acceptable route, the alternatives would be eliminated. The BSN debate has been raging for 32- years, since I graduated from nursing school in 1980. If people feel so strongly that BSN is the only legitimate path, I suggest that, when you are critically injured, sick or having surgery, that you demand that only BSN graduates care for you! Good luck with that!

Since Kate was a nurse, this blog attracts other nurses who are appalled with the abysmal skill she had in dealing with her own children. Look how many have weighed in, just on this blog.

So, my message is the same, for both topics and, really, all topics. Please be considerate and confine comments to Kate, not sweeping statement about everyone who shares a life experience in common. There is nothing wrong with any job that provides family income--including working at McDonalds. I would respect her for that.

If people continue to trash entire groups of people, at the very least, it will provoke a war of words and at the very most, it will really hurt someone. I am one of the people that have never commented or even regularly read another blog. Kate has the ability to arouse so much outrage, that we occasionally turn it on each other. I always own my comments under the single name of Ex Nurse, and I stand by them even if it is an unpopular view. I hope others feel safe in doing the same.

Yes. What's so amazing is that I knew this bitch was stupid. I knew she was mentally ill and narcissistic. But without Twitter I didn't have a clue just how stupid and insane she was. Even I underestimated it.

Dumb & Dumber is missing the point about the damn movie ( guess sheeple are reading here too :-) ). The point was that if you are not going to spring for any kind of vacation break trip, amusement park or big ticket excursion, the simpler and less expensive TREAT coud be a movie. How hard is it to drive to a theatre and sit for 90 minutes. It is not about good grades or playing outside, it is about a well- deserved, well-earned TREAT. How about them apples & oranges Katie?

I would like to think she plays dumb, but Twatter proves otherwise.

Kate was lamenting about spring break being scheduled too early. Do you mean that the school didn't change its spring break schedule just for her? It's been that way for a hundred years, and even the great Kate, with all of her power, couldn't change it? Oh, the humanity! She should be glad that there is a nice, long spring break. Most public schools only have a few days off over Easter weekend. Maybe she's not glad, though, because TLC isn't footing the cost of a trip and this means that she would have to pay for a vacation. I guess she's stuck at home this year with the kids. Could this be one of the reasons for her testy tweeting frenzy?

Dallas Lady said...

I'm one of those people who grew up with a narcissistic mom. She was actually worse than Kate, and didn't have quite the money Kate has.

But her second husband made about $200,000 a year even in the late 70s, when we were kids. You'd think that would be nice for us, right? You'd be wrong. She spent his money on her faster than he could make it. She had a closet full of $400 shoes and $600 handbags, a jewelry box filled with expensive pieces, insisted on him buying her a convertible, you name it, she got it. She started spending so much, he went into debt. He had to get credit cards just to keep up. She took expensive trips by herself or with him, never with us.

Meanwhile, we had untreated painful cavities, my brother was caught stealing food from the school cafeteria more than once (we were SO hungry all the time), and our shoes were falling apart. I had one dingy bra from the ages of 15 to 17. I borrowed makeup from girlfriends. We never had proper medical care.

And our adoptive stepdad (he adopted us) made SO much money. None of it was to go to us. Or even him, for that matter.

So yeah, I know exactly what's going on in the Orphanage. They are doing without. She is not, and never will if she can help it.

People here wouldn't be questioning the family's finances if Kate didn't continually bring it up in the media, either implying or explicitly stating that she doesn't have enough money to support her kids. Great, Kate wasted money on a 3D TV that the entire family cannot use together because extra glasses are too expensive!

A 3D TV is a gimmick. I've heard bad things such as the viewing range is very limited; you have to find a sweet spot to really enjoy the 3D. That is something I don't have to worry about when I want to watch a 3D movie on the big screen; the screen size alone provides a more immersize experience for the viewer.

Exactly. And, when you are the mother of children who have made considerable money, it is not your choice, you need to be making choices in your children's best interests. Heck, you need to get an independent conservator really. You have an obligation, both legally and morally, to protect their money. Not piss it all away because it's no one else's business.

It is our business because there are children involved and I can promise her it will someday sooner than she thinks become the court of law's business.

So keep on trucking Kate.

Dallas Lady said...

The thing is, she wants to brag about what she has AND cry poor in order to get sympathy/things/jobs.

But you can't have it both ways. Anyone could say "well, downsize your life if you're so strapped!" But she can't and won't do that, because she likes to live the big life and brag.

Or someone could also legitimately say, "you aren't strapped! You were just talking about your 3D TV, your Audi sports car, the groomer picking the dog up once a week, getting treated shipped to you from Australia, going to New York to get your hair done."

Hey did anyone notice Cindy Cardella told a woman that she could bunk up with another single woman on the cruise to only pay the single rate? Desperate!

Did everyone also notice Kate apparently got up super early yesterday to drive/be driven to DC and did not stay in a hotel the night before?

I think she really is about to be in dire straights and that's where the flagrant (I almost typed fragrant) assholery is coming from now.That and the fact that it's spring break and TLC isn't around to send her places. Then her birthday is next with no all-expense paid trip and celebration. Then the kids' birthday and no patio renovation and paid-for party.

Good heavens. Following this blog tonight is better than anything else I could watch from home tonight.

Khart, because of her anger and control issues, has truly lost any touch with reality. Bragging about owning an already obsolete TV (who knows where she grifted this from). In reality ( a world she doesn't live in) is priceless. There are very few movies available in 3-D nd the next generation of 3-D tvs will not require glasses.

I also wonder if she actually spends the extra $1.00 to show a 3-D movie to her children, either through streaming or rented DVDs The current problem with all 3-D content, either in theatres or at home is the massive headaches during or after the viewing - a common problem from young to old viewers when viewing the current 3-D movies either in a theatre or at home, while wearing those ridiculous glasses.

I could go on - but Khart has never shown herself to be remotely techno savvy but only a grifting, totally techno-ignorant beggar. As always, she'll say anything to try to appear better than the rest of us. What a joke.

By the way, this stuff on Twitter tonight is a TEENY bit of the real Kate. Anyone who has seen the show knows what I mean.

She tries to get back to her fake persona with the one about the kids sitting on the rug (with picture). Buttery popcorn, munching & ready!

But you know she has to make herself type things like that while she's actually screaming at any kid who dares to move a half inch off their designated spot and GOD HELP the kid who drops a single kernel of popcorn on the floor. She'd probably turn off the movie and send them all to bed immediately.

Twatwaffle. That's all she is.

What I question is how KG passed the licensing exam in the first place (just surprising) and expressing my doubts that she could do it again.
(Yes, I realize that if she keeps up w/her CEUs and renews her license, she does not need to re-take the exam).
I am not doubting Kate's education, I am doubting her abilities.

Something just struck me: you know how Kate sometimes describes on Twitter falling down laughing with her kids or doing sweet funny things with her kids? Peeing their pants with laughter? Just lying around doing Mad Libs and laughing, laughing, laughing?

In all the 150 episodes she was on the air, did anyone ever once witness that? Ever?

Anything close?

I didn't, either. Huh.

I get nauseous, I really do. I saw Avitar and Pirates in 3-d and both times I felt SICK as much as I didn't want to since I'm a huge movie buff and I think 3-d is really cool. And I really want to see Titanic in 3-d cause I'm a sucker for that movie, but I really can't.

Fair enough, once. In 150 episodes and who knows how many hours of footage, she once laughed playing a game with her kids. I'm glad to hear it actually happened once.

We recently took one of our beloved nephews to see the most recent "Journey" movie starring The Rock. The only other 3-D movie I've ever been to was the first "Journey" movie starring the middle school (and yet another nephew) fav at the time - Brandon Frasier. Both times, after the movie, where I watched the 3-D moments with my glasses extended out about 2 feet from my face, the nephew said he loved the movie yet had a bad headaches. A trip to a favorite non chain pizza place did help those headaches!

Of topic, I will say at the most recent film, we saw the preview for "The Hobbit" in 3-D and I envy anyone who will be able to watch that entire film (both parts) in current 3-D.

Enough off topic, since Khart has never read the "The Hobbit", LOL as if!. Khart bragging about a technology she only owns because it costs more than most can afford or want to afford is another reason I find her so ridiculous and frankly, stupid and uninformed.

Did you see those at the theater? The television technology is different. I have a daughter that gets motion sickness at 3d movies in the theater, that did not have a problem with television. They use a battery (expensive) and work really well. But, at any given moment, some of them need battery replacements and, because of the extra expense, not enough to go around. My son buys everything as soon as it comes out, so he is always dealing with his technology. Anyway, home 3d still has some kinks, but it was pretty impressive. If replacing a set, I don't think that it costs more than any high quality tv set, and it is an option that doesn't have to be used. I have a 14 year old Pioneer plasma that came with the house we bought. We have 3 different remotes that have to be used for any given function. My previous television was a Sony that we bought (color!), that lasted more than 20 years.

Its not about the movie Kate. Its about taking your kids out to do things. They are on spring break. You have not spent any special time with them. There are many free things that you could have done. Most of the museums in DC are free. Pack a nice health lunch, drive down to one of the transit stations with free parking and take the subway to down town DC. Transit passes for 9 wont cost too much and neither will the gas. I am sure there are museums near you that have free days. You could have taken your children to one of them even. Take the tups to the library for story time. Take the kids to home depot and let them participate in one of the children's classes. Take your kids to the park for a nice sledding day. Pack some hot coco in a thermos and let them have fun sledding down the hill. Take them out for pizza and then if they behaved at dinner, take them for ice cream as dessert. Or do a rerun of your show and take them to the paint your own pottery place. Let them each paint a mug with their name it. Have a special hot coco night with the mugs.

All of these things are inexpensive and would have created wonderful memories for them. Instead, you made them sit around the house all of spring break. You spent your time twittering up a storm. You are not even taking a twitter break for movie night.

You refuse to do anything special with your kids. You also refuse to give up your special time. You have to go tanning, get your hair done in NYC and get your nails done. Your kids deserve to do special things to. They dont have to cost a whole lot of money. It shows them that you are interested in them and want to spend time with them. Your current example shows them that you only care about yourself.

Take a page from Jons twitter account. He is not on it 24 hours a day. He has even gone days without posting anything. Just think about how much spare time you would have if you limited yourself to 20 min of twitter each day.

They'll cause a panic if they're seen in public? Oh please. Probably she meant they'll cause a ruckus. Or a few people might look at them.

Like the public isn't going to notice a camera crew and boom mikes along with assorted crew daddies and other support staff in addition to the 'talent, but will notice a group of 9 people. Uh huh.

If that's the case, how come there wasn't an uproar when the girls went to get their bras?

How come Jon appears to be able to take them out and about with no ensuing panic?

Mel said...

Hints on how to avoid panicking the public when you're out

Don't wear 6" stillettos. Ballet flats work best
Send the kids into the theatre in groups of 2-3. No one will suspect a thing.
Cover up your neon yellow hair. A neutral blonde wig is good.
Ditch the camera crew and boom mikes
Don't scream at the kids, or anyone else
Ditch the hooker wear. Go with mom jeans and non-skin tight top. No cleavage.
Wear something event appropriate. Scout the parking lot ahead of time to see what other mom's are wearing.
Keep your radon orange skin covered up to avoid scaring little kids.
A disguise could be good. Try one that's labelled "normal mom"

Kate can't handle taking her kids in public in bulk because she's Kate Gosselin, remember? She's famous for being a mom of 8 and for failing DWTS. I mean it takes real talent to not even attempt to try and learn something, doesn't it? That's give her, Kate has real talent at grating, a lot like cheese, but only on people's nerves.

She can't go out to a movie, because she won't do it. It's that simple I think. Sure she wines about the cost, about people staring. But little known fact I think, most people don't go to a movie every weekend. Going to a movie sometimes is a treat itself. She can wait and go the dollar show like a lot of people do, instead of the mega-plex. If it's the cost of snacks...I admit, I sneak in snacks I buy at the dollar store. Raising my hand because I'm not going to pay $4-8 for popcorn, sorry.

People stare it's because Kate draws attention to herself...purposely. You ever notice that? I think she would have a hard time NOT drawing any attention to herself frankly.

Yeah I'm cheap. Me and my buddies go to the dollar store to see the movies we can't afford at the big theater big whoop.

Everything in Kate's world is larger than it has to be because she has nothing else to do I don't think.

Again, I noticed she says that the girls have danced themselves to exhaustion and so has she. So...does this mean that her sons are left to fend for themselves to bed? Huh. Great. While you're at it let every Tom, Dick and Harry know that all of you are asleep. Great plan. So not brilliant on a lot of levels.

Case in point, someone commented yesterday about Kate saying all her jeans were from the Gap. One or two additional comments were made about it until I pointed out the FACT that Kate didn't say that, one of the other women said it.

&&&&

No one had a problem with this error being corrected. Once it was corrected it was over with. The error wasn't deliberate, it was a mistake. The listener was listening to a two hour radio show for us and doing her best to recount. She made one error. Instead of kindly correcting it you were a big snot about it. This is not a good case in point at all, it was a simple human error that is NOT important in the grand scheme of things and was promptly corrected.
------------------------
I never spoke of anyone having a problem with the error being corrected. I know it wasn’t deliberate. I was listening too. I was NOT a big snot about it, here is what I said:
“Also, Kate never said she buys her jeans at the Gap, it was one of the other ladies. (See how misinformation gets spread?)”

The “case in point” to which I referred was in the paragraph immediately preceeding it, (which incidentally was a completely different comment from the one in which I corrected the Gap thing) in which I stated:
“I'm never out to tell people they are "wrong." But sometimes people form opinions based on inaccuracies. I those situations, I feel compelled to call attention to those errors.
Case in point, someone commented yesterday about Kate saying all her jeans were from the Gap. One or two additional comments were made about it until I pointed out the FACT that Kate didn't say that, one of the other women said it.”

And the only reason I was even stating that was because I had been PERSONALLY ATTACKED and was trying to clarify my position. There’s no implication of my having a problem with somebody making an error. I don’t appreciate being called snotty for simply pointing out a fact.

And as I recall you were the one insisting that Kate didn't talk about the twins periods--which was an error on your part. She DID, and we pointed it out to you. We all make mistakes, and there are ways to point things out without being a snotty jerk about it and going into why this blog is so terrible and why we are so terrible when Kate and only Kate exploited her kids yesterday.

Check, there is a way to get along here while still disagreeing, and you are slipping and sliding away from that very fast and I don't disagree with other's opinions about your M.O.. If you want to have success here, you need to try some other method.
---------------
What I had insisted on was very specific. It was that Kate refused to answer a specific question about their periods. And she did refuse, so that’s not an error.
No one acknowledged it, BTW. And it is a fact, despite others’ denying it. I actually listened to the broadcast and here’s about how it went down. I’m going to use single quotes, because they aren’t verbatim, but they’re pretty damn close.
They were discussing the issues surrounding having the puberty talk with the girls.
Kate said, ‘Well yes, we’ve talked about it...”
One of the hosts interrupted and said, ‘Have they started their periods?’
There was a pause, probably due to Kate’s shock at the question. And she said,
‘We’ve talked about it, let’s just leave it at that.’

Now I wasn’t advocating she get a mother of the year award for Pete’s sake, just pointing out that she refused to answer that question.

Okay, you can call me insensitive, but I'm quite frankly done with these parents of higher order multiples COMPLAINING about how hard they have it, commiserating in their exclusive club of higher-order parenting. These schmoes CHOSE this route. They manipulated science and the system to have more kids than they could handle, and now we're all supposed to feel sorry for them????? Their situations were created by THEM, and THEY need to deal with it -- and quite frankly, I say STFU with all the woe-is-me crap. They'd like to position themselves as helpless victims, when they were in fact the orchestrators of their family structure. Kate and Brian need to stop bitching about circumstances they created for themselves, and take responsibility for their choices -- and yes, it WAS THEIR CHOICE. Nobody forced fertility treatments on any of them. They CHOSE it, and therefore, at the end of the day, it's THEIR responsibility to deal with the fall-out, whatever that may be for each family.

I'm so frickin' sick of hearing Kate complain about how hard she has it because she has 8 -- count 'em 8 -- kids. She, and she alone, is the reason she has 8 kids. It was her CHOICE. She needs to stop blaming the kids for their existence, and start accepting some accountability for her role in CREATING her 8-count-em-8. The kids didn't "happen" to Kate -- she made them happen. They are her CHOICE and her responsibility. Not society's responsibility -- HER responsibility [and Jon's of course, but as we all get on this blog, Jon doesn't use his kids as an excuse -- he quietly supports them like all of us "mediocre" parents do our own kids].

canadianmom said...

I never comment here but the pic of her "family movie night" made me so sad. Maybe because it was one of the first things I saw when I sat down at my computer tonight after my own family movie night. Those poor kids all lined up on the hard floor, forced to sit on their "stripe" for fear that they might spill a damn kernel of popcorn. All while the Queen Mother sits on her comfortable couch sipping her wine and tapping on her phone the entire time... WHAT IN SWEET HELL IS THAT??? That's not family movie night?! That's BULLSH*T!

Seeing that pitiful picture made me all the more happy and grateful for my own "mediocre" movie night with my sweet family. All of us cuddled up on the couch together under a big fuzzy blanket(our phones no where near us), munching popcorn and sipping hubbies famous smoothies (tonight was pomegranate blueberry- YUM!) We ended up spilling more popcorn then we ate but the two big dogs at our feet took care of that. One by one everyone fell asleep until I was surrounded by a chorus of snores. Now my little boys are in bed with purple smoothie stains on their PJ's, happy as can be. Not unlike movie nights millions of other families shared this weekend I'm sure.

And the saddest part of Kate's movie night is that she took the time to take that picture and brag about it all over twitter thinking she had some wonderful, magical family movie night, when in reality it was far far from it. Why is she so incapable of sharing a REAL moment with her kids? She will never ever get it...

The question is why she has to share these moments with total strangers on the internet. Nothing is private - not the kids scrounging for computers, not meager breakfasts, not leap-frog cupcakes. Why is she making this public? Is she that starved for attention and applause and her tweeties are the only ones who can fill that void in her life?

She's really hit the bottom of the barrel.

You can call me insensitive too. I am sick to death of HOM's. I wish they either would stop implanting so many eggs, follicles, whatever, or make families have a minimum income - so they cannot be eligible for any type federal or state aid since they chose that many children (now if circumstance beyond their control change, like if one of the parents loses their job a few years later, of course they are then eligible), I am just saying, just because you have a litter doesn't make you the state's problem, Can't feed them, don't breed them. I think the mother who has 8 kids that had them 1 at time is a way tougher, way better mother than 1 who did at once.Think about it, she was pregnant when she had 2 kids, then 4 kids, then 6 kids, and so on. Holy cow! What a trooper!! That would have to be a tireless, organized, patient, supermom! Go mom! Plus her children are all different ages meaning their needs are at different levels, Again, what a supermom to manage a family that size, and pregnant so many times at that. Beat that, Kate!

I've been off the boards for a few days, as I've been in Harveyville, KS with the Red Cross, helping tornado victims. Busy, busy. Driving through the streets of a small town in middle America, where people lost everything, sure puts things into perspective. And makes me hate Kate even more than I normally do.

Anyway...I saw that I missed the newest episode of Kate Plus 8 last night, "Gosselin Movie Night." Dang it.... I'm sure it was exciting.

Hey - Administrator? Perhaps you could do one of your famously witty recaps of Movie Night for those of us who missed it?!

Funny, Knows Quality. As I watched tweets/pics play out last night I thought the same thing. It was another episode in the life and times of Kate Gosselin and her amazing eight, however mediocre they might be.

Well, thankfully, this episode of Kate and Her Amazing Eight was without her screeching "Come and get yer popcorn!"

I have an idea. What if Kate went back to nursing plus still wrote for CC, and did the couple of interviews she still does. It seems like there is plenty of time for all of this. Afterall, she is "Supermom". The nursing income would be in addition to the "income" she is making now.

Dmasy said...

Just a thought, not a fact.

Jon tweeted that he had the boys due to a custody change about a week ago. Last night, Kate said that the girls danced themselves to exhaustion. Maybe the yucky boys were doing something different... or maybe there has been a bigger change in the schedule of the boys. Maybe they were with Jon again.

She's such a c word said...

Dmasy, the exploiting mother tweeted a picture of the six sitting on the floor. The boys were with her.

Dmasy said...

Thanks, c word. I only see the tweets at the top of the page and pic is not included.

I thought her WORDS about the night were bleak enough. A picture of the seating arrangement on the stripe would had made it worse.

Thanks.

Oh Kate, your kids have been clear across the world and what did they see? A beach, a zoo, and you acting like an asshole. They can do that at home for free.

Sad that they can't go just across town to see a movie because their mom has a defeatist attitude when it comes to them. Sad that she has decided what is or isn't a worthy life experience for her kids. Sad that those kids have to watch a movie on the floor without back or neck support. So sad that this woman somehow thought she wanted children, got them, now feels trapped by them and let's them know that every day by her actions and attitude

What an arrogant a-hole she is. So what if your kids have been across the world? In giving them all the big things you are denying them all the little things that make childhood so great. And yes, that includes things like just going to the movies for the afternoon--or any similar mediocre activity, just pick one and DO IT WITH THEM.

A recap of last night's debate? Oh that might be sinful! But I can't get to it this morning. Unlike Kate, when I say I go to church, I actually do go!

Gosselin8ComeFirst said...

Wow, so many great comments. Dallas Lady- I think your personal comments explain a lot of what is going on. Never mind Kate stating from the get go that it was society's responsibility to pay for the nurse for an additional year, due to medical advances.

Enter TLC, and they have handled Kate from day one, through all of her craziness. I do think that she had a severance and link to them through Feb 2012.

Now that the show is cancelled, there is no longer a buffer, she is showing her true colors by Twitter (after stating she does not respond to negative posts) but is in hyper defensive mode.

Let's face it, TLC took care of Kate's every need and managed her crazy irratic behavior, but I think they had enough of her horrible behavior starting with the Palin episode, and ending with the RV trip. Even the kids were not charming on the RV trip. The RV trip was her kiss good-bye.

Bottom line- Kate is desperate, sinking, has no TLC back up and her true colors are coming through on Twitter. This is who she always was, without TLC to manage her bad behavior and temper tantrums.

Very telling with her nasty twitter responses, and this is why people do not like her. As for the kids' money, Kate did not want to spend money they had inherited for nurses, as it was "their money" and has been given so much via TLC, freebies, endorsements, grifting, and still expects people to support her, as this is her modus operandi. She has no clue how to support 8 kids, refuses to get a "normal" job to support them, making excuse after excuse why she can not do so, when she clearly could get a normal job. She simply fathoms herself a star, too good for a normal job.

This is not going to end well, as Kate refuses to accept the gravy train is over. God help those kids! She is not in a good place right now, is desperate, and lashing out at any and all criticism.

Oh, and raise your hand if you plan on ordering one of her t-shirts that one of her tweeties suggested she have made? Who wants to wear the name Gosselinator across their chest?

Her couch is leather, no need to put them on the floor. Just vacuum and wipe it down, after she puts them to bed.

The popcorn wasn't organic. And since it wasn't micrwave and she is obsessed with fat I'd bet she has an air popper. I doubt she put butter on it.

If she has a 3 d tv, why did she buy the regular DVD, instead of combo DVD, blu ray?

If she can't afford 3 d glasses, she should have bought a passive 3 d tv. Not quite the same experience but could enjoy at the same tome.

And, Kate, for crying out loud take your kids out to do SOMETHING. If you can't do a movie, check out the local museum and planetarium. They have days with reduced rates and even the grounds are beautiful for a nice long walk. Go for a hike at Blue Marsh ... free! Another good option is Roadside America, a huge indoor train yard with dozens of switches you can press to control the action. It's showing its age a little, but I bet the boys especially would love it. My kids, nieces, nephews always had a blast and it's cheaper than a movie ticket. She just doesn't want to do the research or get off her flat ass to take them anywhere.

As a person who has fertility issues myself I wanted to jump in on the HOM topic. I have PCOS (although my similarities with kate end there) and for our first child we started with Clomid which is a drug to help induce ovulation. There is a slightly higher risk for multiples with it (talking twins MAYBE triplets and your percentages are still under 10%) but we knew that risk going into and were willing to accept the kids we got. We were blessed with only 1 but had it been twins or triplets we would have been just as happy and accepting realizing that the slightly higher risk of multiples was worth the ability for us to be able to get pregnant.

I'm still confused why Kate started with a much more invasive procedure that is much more likely to lead to HOM (as opposed to 2-3). My dr. and fertility dr. were both clear that the first place they start every time is Clomid and you only go to stronger levels of fertility once those don't work. And even with stronger fertility treatments you can still control (to a certain extent of course) the likelihood of HOM. Just my two cents as someone who has at least some knowledge of the whole process

Jon and Kate Plus 8 Registration

We are excited to be hosting the cast of "Jon and Kate Plus 8" on Sunday, September 14 at 10:00 am. Completing the requested information below will pre-register you for this event. We are asking only those within a 15 mile radius of the church to pre-register and attend, as there is limited seating available. Thank you for understanding. This event is free, but please come prepared to give in a love offering toward the Gosselin’s. Due to the increased response for this event, we have rented Keswick Theatre, a local production theatre around the corner from the church in Glenside, Pa. This will provide much more seating. Children will be included in the service, sitting with their parents. Don’t worry, the service will be a fast paced, multi-media experience that will keep your kids’ attention.
We look forward to meeting you soon!

Please bring a love offering to two people who at that time were smack in the middle of settling on a 1.2 million dollar home. If this isn't fraud, I don't know what is. The sheeple will still insist that they had eight kids to raise.. blah, blah, blah. Putting aside the fact of how they ended up with eight kids, they did NOT have the right to collect money from hardworking mediocre people under possibly fraudulent pretenses. Sometimes I'm embaraased to live in this state. Supposedly this matter was brought to the attention of our Atty. General at the time, but they declined to pursue it so as not to cause embarrassment to the family. Really? Since when has embarassment to a family stopped authorities from enforcing a law? They had another engagement scheduled for Nov. 1 which they cancelled and didn't reschedule. The jig was up and the house purchase was made public by then.

please bless us with stuff if you feel led to

It is really hard to know where to start this morning, so many posters hitting the nail right on the head, and yet she remains oblivious to any and all who DARE to
point out her twisted, flawed thinking. You can almost see little, negative blue tweetie birds flying out of her phone as she types 'ur gone!'

A couple of observations on Kate' comments about the devastation caused by the recent tornados. The extent of her caring goes to the SIZE of the hail stones, as if they are shiny objects. The loss is beyond her comprehension, why, because she is not in the story, plain and simple.

I wanted to be at Canadian mom's house last night for their movie night. Smoothies, cozy blankets, the dogs getting in on the popcorn dropped their way.
I was saddened to see the Gosselin kids lined up like soldiers watching a movie wondering if they will get through it without moving off the strip and being sent to bed, you know 'ur gone'. Yes, that looks like a fun night!

I do think Twitter may very well be her undoing.

Just to put my two cents in on the handling of sensitive issues in our posts:

The 'seventh child',
Whether it was ever going to be a baby or not, it is understandable that someone would experience grief and loss
*************
This "seventh child" thing has me so comfused. In both of the beginning "Twins and Sextuplets" episodes, they show sonogram pictures, and the pictures clearly show SIX little sacs (four on one frame, and two in another), not seven. Where was this seventh child? Why didn't this child show up on the sonogram? These were sonogram pictures from very early in the pregnancy--you couldn't even make out the actualy embryos, just the sacs. So, where was this seventh one hiding? Any evidence that it ever existed anywhere but in Kate's imagination?

Kirkland said...

Oh my gosh, I can't believe that picture of the kids lined up like soldiers. What fun is that? Does every moment of their lives have to be scripted? There is no freaking way kids naturally sit like that while watching TV. So Kate told them where to sit, what to eat, what to watch and then probably told them when to laugh.

I wonder what they do if they have to deviate from the script (like go to the bathroom)? She probably yells "CUT!".

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The panic is Kate's. She appears to be unable or unwilling to function with her kids in public without the Boobyguard and a camera crew following them. They could all easily navigate around the 'Ville without anyone batting an eye at them and Kate knows that. But going back to "if I say it, it will be true" she chooses to make the excuse that there will be pandemonium if they stick a toe out the door.
The kids natural yen to explore and have adventures is being stifled by their batshit irrational kook of a mother. She is sowing the seeds for kids who will soon never want to be home and will always want to be at a friends house or someplace else. And when this happens, in true narcissist fashion, she will exclaim "where are they? I devoted my life to these kids. I made sure their clothes were stain free. I made sure they had organic guacamole in their lunches. I gave them the perfect childhood, why don't they ever want to be home"?

Would you do it again, knowing the risks? Like Kate did? Just curious, if too personal, just skip.

And the saddest part of Kate's movie night is that she took the time to take that picture and brag about it all over twitter thinking she had some wonderful, magical family movie night, when in reality it was far far from it

###################

How could you possibly know what the movie night was like "in reality" without being there? What's sad is that you and so many others always assume that the children are having a miserable experience. Maybe they had a great time. Maybe they didn't. The only people who know are the kids themselves. You would rather believe that the kids had a crappy night because it furthers your belief that Kate Gosselin is the worst mother on the planet and judging by this post comparing your Norman Rockwell-esque family movie night to the Gosselins', makes you feel better about yourself as a mother.

Tweet: "accid(entally) make me stronger" ? In what way did someone make her stronger? Any examples? It sounds to me like someone hurt her feelings and she's blowing that person a raspberry cause there's nothing else she can say or do. It sure seems like she equates being "stronger" to being more determined to sit there and wait for some great opportunity to fall on her head instead of actually doing something to slow down the malignant money drain she is now facing. Know what? I say, go for it Kate! Sit there and dream about your past glories and watch everything you built up dwindle away while you wait by the phone for a call that's never going to come. Just remember, as you sit, that we're laughing at you every step of the way.
The only sad thing is, we can't stop you from spending the kids' money and leaving them with nothing. I just hope that someone else's name is on their trusts and they can stop you. We can only thank God that they have a dad who will work his fingers to the bone (yes, we know, you SAY that's what you'll do, but JON is the one actually doing it) to take care of them. They will be fine, and you will have nothing. And as they grow, they will see what kind of mother you really are, and they will hate you for it. And they will be so grateful to have a dad who truly puts their well-being before their own.
So, go ahead, Kate. Lose it all. Just remember, there's nowhere to hide. We are here watching your fall and enjoying every minute of it.

Kate's day of reckoning is fast approaching. She's already fit to be tied that filming has stopped. She's really gonna be pissed when she has to start using 'her' money to pay the 'kid's bills', as she likes to call it.
I wish she would explain how she pays for help to watch the kids while she runs, says a nurse's salary won't pay a sitter, yet in the same breath says she will work at McD's is she has to....gee, I didn't know McD's paid so well, guess I need to apply! :)
...as far as her panic concerning going to the movie, I think the panic she was referring to was her own, not the public, not the kids..she has no idea how to handle all those kids on her own.

Read over some of her manic tweets from last night. One that galled me the most was her saying it was a dream of hers to host SNL.

Are you kidding me!!! Kate is either a D- or maybe even an F-listed used-to-be reality celebrity (which means she's in the same category as Snooki). She has no charm, no talent, and no personality, and she's not even remotely close to being in the same league with anyone who has ever hosted SNL.

She is totally delusional in believing she's a star of any sort and in assuming that anyone who doesn't like her is simply jealous of her. Her delusions of grandeur and entitlement are mind boggling.

Kate, keep retweeting those OLD tweets about you being hot. You are the only one who believes it.

She's trying to build a story out of nothing. Kate should just buy a Cabbage Patch doll and name it whatever she wants.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She should get a reborn doll. She can even get one that cries like a real baby.
Er, that's an awful tiny TV screen for such a large family. And I noticed that the 'little girls' got the primo seats right in front of the screen, whereas the icky boys had to sit off to the sides.-----------------
I totally agree and am sick of the 3 boys being second class citizens, because of Kate's gender issues.
According to her upcoming *snark* book, "Kate's Childcare Tips, the first thing you do when your baby cries is put them down for a four hour nap. The second step is shut the bedroom door firmly and call your overworked husband so you can whine about it.
Puke, b- day tweets to someone's mother. How special. Does Paige then run and show her mommy the phone?
To all who wonder how we know.....
Hmm....How do we know?
Because Kate keeps going on every medium she can claw her way to and vomiting their lives to her sick, voyeuristic, Peeping Tom fans to further her own 'career'.
Because we saw her behavior on 7+ seasons.
Because we see her pathetic pictures. Because she alternates, sometimes in the same sentence, to owning 2 luxury cars while complaining that she can't afford 3D glasses for the kids or take them to a movie.
Because she is literally selling her twins' privacy so that she can profit on her cruise.
Because, it doesn't take a paparazzi hanging from the trees  for us to get inside information on the kids' personal lives.
Because we are thinking human beings with basic skill of logic and deduction.
The real question is, why don't you know?
No I would not consider 3 to be HOM. Sorry if I was saying otherwise. Its why I was questioning Kate's motives by not at least trying other less invasive and less likely for HOMs before.
We are in the process of trying again and believe the risks of multiples with clomid to be low enough that we are willing to take the minor chance of twins or triplets. If we ever had to go to higher levels of treatments beyond clomid my husband and I have always said its someting we have to discuss and would ONLY do if was done in a way that we personally make our chance of HOM as low as possible (ie. limiting eggs NOT going through with a cycle if the dr says our risks are higher etc.). And honestly if somehow we ended up with HOM we would never sing woe is me and look for handouts. We 100% know the risks and at each step discuss whether we are willing to take the chance.
Kate's pic at the radio station was unflattering, to say the least.
Adding those boobs to her frame makes her look like a linebacker, her long hair makes her face look even longer (reminds me of a horse face)..her posture needs some work, and no matter how she tries to get away from her past,her winnie the pooh tattoo is a permanent reminder. I am shocked she hasn't had it removed. For her to say she hasn't had a boob job flies right in the face of the christian mom role she played in the beginning (remember Kate, thou shalt not bear false witness?)
I wish someone would help her buy correct shoes, they always look so ill-fitting.
As for the too small tv for all those kiddies, I don't have any fancy tvs, and none of them are that large. My priorities are different than Kate's I guess...my money goes to my kids, their activities, gas tanks, tuitions, clothing, etc...my idea is, I will use those big boxy tvs as long as they work!
Sad indeed: go watch Mommie Dearest, then you will understand, the Gosselin 8. In MD, the children all ways put on a happy face or Joan would go into one of her rages. The G8, are doing the same thing.
Oh, and all that stuff Kate said she could not find at the stores(took her all day to find, and grifted xmas lights) I had no trouble seeing with in 5 min of being in her favorite store Target: like the chalk board she was looking for, saw it today at Target for $2.50, in the discount bin when you come in the store. And I was not even looking for it either. Just like the white xmas lights, I don't know about you guys, but they are the last lights to get sold at the stores, and end up on mark-down after xmas. Kate your such a money saving momma NOT! Your just LAZY!
"How could you possibly know what the movie night was like "in reality" without being there? What's sad is that you and so many others always assume that the children are having a miserable experience. Maybe they had a great time. Maybe they didn't. The only people who know are the kids themselves. You would rather believe that the kids had a crappy night because it furthers your belief that Kate Gosselin is the worst mother on the planet and judging by this post comparing your Norman Rockwell-esque family movie night to the Gosselins', makes you feel better about yourself as a mother."
If the kids did have fun it had nothing to do with their mother. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out based on the amount of Tweets she made during the movie. Give me a break.
Tala - Kate's obsessed with having her life documented on film isn't she. A lot of people keep journals or photo albums along with the odd video of Christmas or vacations for their own viewing pleasure. But she's been itching to be 'discovered' since before they were married. On a video of her at a dinner party celebration you can hear her asking 'did you get me?'... and then there's the one later on where she's dancing like Marlo Thomas on the opening segment of "That Girl" at Disneyland on their honeymoon, making sure Jon's getting it all on film. She finally hit the jackpot that would make her famous when she shilled Figure 8 the footage of herself as a busy little mommy.
It was never really about the kids it was and always will be about her. The kids are just the hook to keep HER face noticed.
Yet another story she told was she lost it when she started spotting on Christmas eve and that's when they decided that having an entire litter was not so horrible after all.
