I said if (according to you) the children weren't suffering driving around in an old van that I guess Kate must have felt SHE was suffering driving around in an old van in order for HER to go out and by a brand new one. So did she buy a new van out of need or want?
As for my vacations with my family...
1) It's Disney World, not Disneyland. Get your facts straight.

Tamara, I DO have a good sense of humor! I don't know what the term would be except creeptard, or maybe asshat or turdbucket, all among the more polite things I have called him. My sense of humor failed when he sent me something that said, "Men are either hungry or horny, and you know which one by whether they have a sandwich or a boner." An 87-year-old stalker saying this to a 47-year-old woman, whose husband wouldn't even send something like that. I said it was inappropriate and he said, "Maybe, but isn't it true?" I said again that it was inappropriate and he got all indignant......'rest assured I will never darken your e-mail doorstep again' and then he was back at it a week later. Kate is already getting the same thing from Milo. That twitter feed needs to be shut down. It serves no positive purpose AT ALL.

I just wanted to address the one comment about how having the BBB made the kids more accessible for Jon.
Jon had to jump through hoops to pick up the kids when he didn't have the BBB. He had to arrange to be dropped off so he could pick up the van. The previous arrangement made this a 2-person job every time he was getting or dropping off his kids. Having the van in his possession will make the process MUCH easier for him.
I wasn't asking if Kate and Steve had requested info on who had signed up for the cruise. More so they could find out who they are on twitter, if they have any property/money, can they be squeezed for more? Oh, and to probably make fun of what they look like.

Lol Daisy! Last summer the 6 fans starting asking Kate if they could send her copies of her books (all conveniently found at the Dollar Store now!) for her to autograph. She said she would, as long as they sent the correct amount of postage for her to send them back. She could not stress enough how CORRECT postage had to be enclosed or she could not send the book back. God for freakin' bid that Kate kick in .25 for a sheeple who was a little short.
I think Barb Gilmer was the first to do this and may have found Kate's address on the internet. After that, any time a sheeple wanted Kate's address to send their dusty bargain bin books, she always told them to email Barb Gilmer and get it from her. I always got the vibe Barb was not too thrilled with this.

Do you know a remarkable mother? Camp Barnabas is honoring mothers at their second annual Tapas and TopHats event.
Camp Barnabas, located at 901 Teas Trail 260 in Purdy, is honoring 10 mothers out of those who are nominated as "Remarkable Mothers of the Ozarks."
The camp is a Christian camp devoted to providing outdoor activities during the summer to children and adults with special needs and chronic illnesses, according Keri McKee, the development officer for the camp.
McKee said the event, on Friday, May 4, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Remington's Entertainment Complex, 1655 W. Republic Rd., Springfield, is a black-tie fundraiser where the tapas stations represent many different cultures. There is also a silent auction, a game and raffle.
The speaker at the event is Kate Gosselin, according a news release from the camp. Gosselin is a mother of eight who gained national attention with her reality show on TLC, "Jon & Kate Plus 8," with her then husband, Jon Gosselin. In addition to the show, which was later changed to "Kate Plus 8," she has appeared on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," and wrote three books, "Multiple Blessings," "I Just Want to Know You," and "Eight Little Faces."
"We are ecstatic to have her," McKee said. "Her heart just went out to the camp after she found out what we do. She has a love for children and is an amazing mom."
McKee said last year hundreds of nominations came in and it was difficult for their committee to pick just 10 to be honored at the event.
"There are lots of amazing stories," she said. "We don't just accept nominations for moms who have special needs children, but some of our nominees last year had set out to adopt children with special needs and have provided them with a loving environment where they can thrive."
Tickets to the event are $75 and are available for purchase at www.campbarnabas.org/tapasandtophats.
Even if a nominated mother is not chosen to be honored that night, she is still recognized with a card.
"All mothers nominated will receive a Mother's Day card that says someone thinks they are remarkable," McKee said.
Nominations for remarkable mothers are accepted through March 30. To nominate a remarkable mother go to the Camp Barnabas website, www.campbarnabas.org/nominations.

I don't know why an organization would pick Kate as a speaker considering she is such a controversial character now. It would not help their cause, even if the organizers were sheeple. Everyone I know who used to watch, like myself, now feels very anti-Kate and pro-Gosselin kids and considers her a poor role model as a mother and human being in general.

Well at least it's not Mother's Day weekend, Mother's day is late this year (13th) This organization is paying/grifting/leasing her something for being there. Kate is not showing up in MO out of the blackness of her dried up heart to be around disabled-ish people for free.
I also think that out of desperation, Kate might be sticking her Flintstone toe in the waters of the Christian chat circuit again. Complete with book about how she "lost her way" in her faith but came home again. Throwing up a little in my mouth just thinking about it.

I seem to remember that last summer Milo kept tweeting Kate that she should take Shoka with her when she runs. Kate made some lame excuse that she would have to train Shoka to run with and would start working on it at a future day. She has never mentioned running with Shoka since then.

I feel very sorry for Shoka. Although he can run ( in the rain) around the property, dogs love human companionship. Although apparently Alexis greets him after school, the kids generally seem disinterested and were seen to be hitting him with wiffle bats etc. He is also at risk of being hit by a car or dognapped since he can escape from the yard, and is possibly left out all night....hope he enjoyed his grooming today. They preferred to turn it into personal attacks. It seems to be their MO. Apparently they can't defend Kate without making it personal, so I decided to moved. Moose Mania, that made me laugh out loud! Oh my goodness, the asparagus he gave me - you could have burned it for heat, it was so thick and woody and beyond eating. My dog (PJ, the dachsund in my avatar) is horrible. HORRIBLE! Total psycho, but this guy loved his pictures, so I took him along for that trip and held him with this guy delightedly pet and patted him. And PJ just took it! He has lunged at my friends WHILE they were petting him but with this guy, he did nothing. When I put him back in the car, I said, "You little bastard, that is the one who were supposed to bite!" I stopped for a drivein coffee and they started to pass a biscuit out and I told them to keep it, he didn't deserve it. Stupid dog.
But this was all my own fault, for letting it continue wayyyyyy past when it felt wrong.

I am sure she was livid after they told her about the RV trip, and they decided to show the film of how she actually acted through many years of filming, as opposed to the sanitized version, with hours on filming on the floor.
I guess this was TLC's FU to her after they dealt with her insanity for years, and she went ballistic at the meeting. She was more trouble than she was worth. I loved the RV show because everyone's real comments (Ashley, Jamie, filming crew, boat guy, and even Steve's comments finally made it to airing.) Let alone her irrational, angry, out of control behavior was finally shown for what she really is.

I saw an entire cart load of them at Half-Price Books. Usually when you see so many books brand new at that place, it means publishers overstock and no one can sell them. They were a buck each. They sat there and sat there and were there every time I went in the store (which is often, we read a lot in my house). Finally they just all disappeared. I'm sure they have some way to offload books that don't even sell at Half-Price Books. Recycling?
And I chuckled that the fan read the first two books in one day. She always seems surprised when people say that, but it's not exactly challenging reading from what I've seen.

There have been so many great lists/articles posted recently about Kate's behavior from the onset, grifting, lack of gratitude, anger, entitlement, lies, manipu lation, etc... that if you look at it in its totality, one would be hard pressed to support her, let alone admire her in any way.
Ugh! I just did a huge rant on Yahoo news where Dr. droll was interviewing her. She brings out the worst in me!! Not sure it has to be this complicated. Why does Jon need a friend to help at all? Why doesn't he drive his mediocre car up to Kate's, grab the BBB and get them, then when the weekend is over drive back, drop then off and get back into his mediocre car? What am I missing here? The extreme couponer that was on Lifechangers after Kate was so refreshing. She had so much excitement and enthusiasm that she completely upstaged Barbie--I mean, Kate. I don't really care about the subject, but it was nice to see a normal looking person featured on a show. It made Kate's Sharon Stone Does Star Trek tin foil dress look even more ridiculous. It was especially ironic that this vital woman, of generous proportions--and therefore, so in need of Kate's help--, was able to make the oh-so-thin Kate look even faker, shallower and more vapid than usual.
As far as her Tweet about the chalkboard--I guess just putting it out into the universe and having it show up at her PO box just isn't working the way it used to. I see it as yet another sign that her days in the spotlight are numbered.

When Kate is in HER controlled surroundings, she is loud, abrasive, bossy, demanding...

Not professional enough to spell out what shore excursions will include Kate and what passengers are expected to pay for on their own. Not professional enough to tell fans exactly what gratuities are included. Not professional enough to detail what taxes and fees are included (and what isn't). Not professional enough to inform fans exactly what refunds are offered if Kate cancels or the minimum number of cabins needed to be sold in order for the cruise to happen. Not professional enough to distinguish between an "emergency" cancellation by Kate and an "out of Alice Travel's control" cancellation.

You can cancel a cruise with no (or little) penalty until you get to 90 days before sailing. After 90 days you start to forfeit some of your money and as it gets closer, you lose ALL of it. There's no way Alice Travel will make an announcement before the 90 day window.

Although I've heard this story before, it was painful to read. How disappointed Beth must have been that Kate not only took PARTIAL credit for the book--but all of it! That Kate would dare to call herself "a best-selling author."
I've never seen any episodes with Beth Carson, but everyone always describes her as classy. She sounds so proud of her achievement here, overcoming her self-doubt to write a BEST SELLER. I am wondering if they didn't edit out of lot of the Dr. Drew interview and it whittled down to 15 minutes, whereas there was very little editing to do with the real coupon lady and they were thereby able to make up the difference in time with her. Why would anyone feel to compelled to interfere with an event that helps to fund camps for severely handicapped and terminal children? What, exactly is the purpose? Clearly, Kate's career is circling the drain. Like it or not, she has a story to tell--and yes, it involves her children. She is not pulling them out of school and at least the prisoners will get some time away from the warden.
Her career is clearly in reverse--this is how she started, and there is a symmetry that this is where it will end. Most likely, she will be paid some kind of speaker's fee and traveling fees--to Missouri, not Hollywood or Poland or anywhere else that is on her bucket list. She won't be attending a Vanity Fair pre-Oscar show, for god's sake ! She will get pumped up with adoration and maybe she will come home and be nice to her kids. She is not getting an award--she is a featured speaker.
Clearly, she will never be the parent those kids deserved. Posting the grift list on Dr. Drew's website is, in my opinion, fair game--PRICELESS! Sending it to this nice little charity that helps disabled children--definitely crosses a line for me. Who cares about the loverz/haterz--this is a $75.00/ticket event, for, I repeat, disabled and terminally ill children.
Note: I have verified, for myself that this is a legitimate charity. Anyone can look at the 2010 filed non-profit tax return at guidestar.com. It is free to join and all filed non-profit returns can be viewed. Anyone who cares to can do the same. What tells me that this is legitimate is the very reasonable $40,000 range salaries that 2 board members receive. This is compared to $250,000 plus incentives that charities like the Red Cross and Susan B Komen pay out to some board members.

My guess is that she did have to sign a non disclosure along with a lot of others so I wouldn't single her out. You have to ask where was the crew, nannies, etc at the hearing? Kevin and Jodie appeared to go to battle on their own in that respect.

I don't know if this was addressed today on this site, but yesterday Kate said on twitter that she didn't stretch before running. Lots of people rightfully blasted her on being wrong and giving incorrect info that could hurt runners.
Well, Kate writes the above tweet today. She not only uses improper grammar (it's stretches) but tweets that she does "pre-yoga" before running. She doesn't apologize or acknowledge that she gave out wrong info yesterday about not stretching before runs. She just lies she has been doing pre-yoga stretches the entire time. And to think that Kate wants to instruct people in running.

Haha it's great to see everyone sees her for who she really is. I never watched the show; I refused to, because my mother was one of Kate's primary nurses while she was having all her children at Hershey Medical Center. My mom is about as sweet and good of a person as they come, and she told me it was unbelievable how horrible Kate treated all the medical staff, treating them like literal slaves and actually screaming at and belittling them (same way toward her husband) on a daily basis. Saw this article, and was ready to be frustrated at people unknowingly buying into the innocent card Kate is playing here. Very glad to see no one is. She truly is a nasty, ugly person.
I am quite sure that the charity is now fully aware of Kate's actions and fully capable of making an informed decision.
I have advocated for disabled children and I have a very dear friend that has a severely disabled 7 year old son. Together, they face insurmountable obstacles every minute of every day. So, as sick as Kate makes me, I love this little boy an his brave mom more. If children like him can benefit from her participation, I come down on the side of the charity. Just this once. I can't even think of any other scenario in which this would be the case.

Why not have a speaker who they know will be well received and appreciated? In short, she hates Jon more than she loves her kids. Three years later she still hates him. The whole thing is tragic. And yes pick up and drop offs are usually written into the family law order. In CA there is a section to specify it. It prevents a lot of fights to decide upfront. I'm sure Kate insisted Jon pick up and drop off.
Ex Nurse I think all of us have a heart for disabled children but the problem is I think it's a very real concern people WON'T come because they don't want to support what Kate has done to her OWN kids. What is the good in saving some kids if you're supporting someone who exploits others? They might do better to scrap her and invite someone less polarizing. Perhaps even a celeb who has a child with special needs--Jenni McCartney, or Collin Ferrell for example. No one wants to take money away from disabled children just because they don't like Kate.

I know Admin. can defend herself but this is my opinion. Clear Head you think this "gig" is making a living for her family. I highly doubt the gig is paying Kate any money except flight/room costs/food. Because if what sounds like a fairly small, local charity can afford to pay board members anything at all, then it has to be a pretty big operation. Not Red Cross big, but still quite substantial.
I tend to disagree about Jon and not allowing the kids to be filmed for specials. We all know that he wouldn't allow it but I think it was TLC that didn't want to film Kate for specials, not Jon. That's exactly the point. Not only will Kate and entourage chew up a huge amount of whatever this charity raises, but unwisely hiring such a polarizing figure is likely to affect their future fundraising negatively.
People like me simply won't give to charities, in the first place, who pay speakers outlandish fees at these events. A charity who hires someone who is the polar opposite (pun intended) of those the charity is claiming to help goes on my black list forever.
Kate whined about how imperfect her son was because he needed glasses. How do you think she would have treated a truly disabled child? A disabled "icky" son?
Kate's treatment of her healthy children is despicable, on a good day. I can't imagine how fast she would have dumped them if they'd required a tenth of the care seriously disabled children often do.
How does Kate's attitude toward her children compare to those of loving, dedicated mothers who struggle every day with seriously disabled children, without nannies, without household help, without an excess of funds?
This is not acceptable use of a nonprofit's funds, as far as I am concerned.
Someone fell for Kate's PR/agent's pitch and did not bother researching who she was. I want my own charitable contributions to go to organizations that are a whole lot more careful with their dollars.
So I think your emotional (and very caring) thought that "if children can benefit" is completely wrong.
I don't see how children will benefit at all from Kate's accepting money to appear at this event. They won't, and Kate's appearance is very likely to harm the charity's reputation for quite a while to come.
By the time Kate and co are paid, little will be left for the children, and the damage to the charity from this fiasco is likely to linger for a long while.

Many celeberties make money and earn perks using various forms of social media. It looks like Kate is already fimilar with this. I am glad to see her do the charity for the disabled kids. Maybe it will make her a kinder, gentler mom/person such as twitter APPEARS to have done. Maybe she will spend some time with the disabled kids and "inspire" them like she has done with some on twitter. Maybe she will see how fortunate she is that all of her kids are healthy, when she clearly was running the risk of that not being the case with HOMs.
I do, however, think she should have shared this with the tweeties that she now proclaims to "love," even on the first tweet. They can come and see her there and donate to the charity, as well without breaking the bank for the cruise.
It is just a sad commentary when someone has generated such a negative image that one has to question her motives for doing a charity for disabled kids.
There is hope for people to change? Maybe? Even though I am a die hard hater from a long time back I hope so for the 8 little lives whose future she holds in her hand.

Regarding Kate's tweets when she is asking if anyone knows of marathons for C. to run or something to that effect; during her interview with Dr.Drew she tells him that Rod Dixon is the founder of KidsMarathon. Then she goes on to say that SHE wants to help him out with that because obesity in kids and moms is her passion as well.
Instead of beating around the bush on twitter, why don't she just pick up the frickin' phone and contact Mr. Dixon regarding his help with C. and running and not cow sigh all over her dang twitter page about it. There are plenty of opportunities for her to sign C. up to run without letting the whole world know about it. But then she wouldn't be getting any attention from the story that C. takes after her in that she just loves to run. Get a clue, attention-ho, it's not about YOU!
Also, on the KidsMarathon home page, there is a big blue DONATE button, wonder if Kate saw that or was distracted by the thoughts of how she could make money off of C. by trying to squirrel her into KidsMarathon as a Jr.Ambassador or some shit.

Or it could very well be TLC has no interest in trying to negotiate with Jon. The first time around he was the resident douchebag so from a PR standpoint it was okay to attack him. His stature in the public eye has changed. A lot of people see him now as the only one with the kids' best interests in mind. From a PR standpoint, no PR person would advise TLC to fight him again, it would look bad.
Between now and the Ozarks in May, almost nothing on her agenda, I'm betting - there will be a LOT of retweets, bad cookiing and even worse running 'advice'.

I am pretty sure that I would rather gnaw off my left big toe than to go hear her speak at that fundraiser in Missouri. What in the hell does she know about raising a disabled child, she was freaking whining about one of the boys needing glasses! Is she gonna teach them the art of grifting or what? She absolutely has no clue as to how lucky she is that her kids were born healthy. For her to be a guest speaker at that event is almost a joke and an insult to all of the truly AMAZING moms out there.
Re: having a disabled 'imperfect' child. Remember the epi where Kate took Leah & Collin to the eye Dr? She seemed more worried about the cosmetic look of Collin's droopy lid than the visual implications, although she weakly tried to make it seem so...Jon I recall had her number.
Viewer, I saw that too. That's why I am wondering what the heck she can offer those families out there that have disabled/challenged children. She cannot see past her own nose and there is no way that she can ever connect with what those parents and families go through every day. It's not so amazing, it's a situation many women find themselves in- my mother was widowed when my sister was 8 and I was 5- amazing, yes, just like the millions of other single mothers and Kate has an ex who helps plus a cushion of $$$ and grifts. no matter how much evidence against her as a supermom/woman, I am always amazed at the dumbos out there.

I just can't fathom Kate giving anything away that she could make a buck on. I really think Jon's name was still on the BBB and she had no choice but to give it to him. He's too much of a gentleman to call her on it but I believe this is the real way it went down.
About giving Jon the BBB-- if it was Kate's, in her name, then at some point Jon agreed to give her that piece of property, perhaps in the divorce agreement.
So, to set the record straight, Kate did not buy the damn thing and did not own it herself until Jon relinquished his half of it. JON gave Kate his half. She never owned it herself to begin with. Now, Kate has turned over what Jon partially owned to begin with, and was cooperative enough to hand over to her when Kate got primary custody.

In my opinion, Jon is a very mature person. I would want to shout my side of the story with all the gruesome details from the top of a media mountain. That he has been able to remain silent in the face of such provocation is testimony to his strength. I think he should be admired.
Her kids are soon going to eclipse her in mental age, if they have not done so already. Even youngsters recognize negative comments being directed at them, yet Kate stays positive because she is 'trending'! So, she receives thousands of comments, by far the majority of them negative, yet she remains upbeat and because she is trending! That sparkly dress is made of sequins and TEFLON.
This blog will be here until I am an old woman with all of us scratching our collective heads as to how she remained to stay 'famous'. That's what I thought yet she tells people she "gave" Jon the van. He's has probably been paying part of the insurance, maintenance, and registration fees since they split. How could anybody in their right mind could watch that show and not see that he took care of those kids while KT sat and watched.
