It's ostensibly to get more people to watch, but (and this is not a slam against the efforts people have made) I'm seeing on twitter a lot of little signs on 8 1/2" x 11" printer paper that can't really be posted anywhere that people could see them and couldn't be read except really up-close anyway. And a pancake batter "sign."
Again, not trying to bash their efforts, I get the sense (from the handwriting I'm seeing on the signs) that some of them are truly just kids. But yeah, that's not going to help her show.

Silly me, I was stuck back in the old thread posting about Khate's huge diss of BM before I realized there was this new post.
Khate is just too dense to realize that BM posting on her blog about Khate's Twitter contest could only help Khate. I don't think her blog is very active though, is it? I only checked it out a couple of times, quite a while ago.

When she yelled at Jon in Toys R Us and embarrassed him, she said she doesn't see people in public. When she was rude to Brad at the Sky Tower, she blamed it on her stress/fear of heights. I don't know what the RV episode will be like, but apparently she's blaming that behavior on editing and, once again, on stress.
Tell me fellow posters, have any of you ever been under a lot of stress? My guess is yes, we all have at some point or another. That does NOT justify treating people the way you do, Kate. Does this mean what I think it means? Grocery stores, pizza shops, book stores? What public place is going to give permission to post these? Of course, I guess a dump site or landfill, or back of a garbage truck or over the toilet in a gas station ladies room would be considered a public place.
All what laws? Contest laws, or public posting laws? 8 a.m. whose time? If Kate decides to snap up the winning entry and use it in some form on a website, or TLC grabs it and uses it on a show, is the winner compensated? After all, the network would be profiting. Must the winner sign off on this, or should he/she copyright it?

Uh, wouldn't posting on twitter count if you have a public account? Then, have your followers retweet this to their followers and so on and so on. I'd say more people would see your sign through social networking than just posting it in your front lawn.
Maybe, if the dunce-Kate added a hashtag (#stupidcontestforkateplusmy8) for contestants to use, then the public could easily search and find these ridiculous signs. And...if it catches on, it (the hashtag) could be a trending topic on twitter i.e. even more people would see what all the fuss is about.

Wow, just wow! Khate is telling this poor girl to post copies of her sign everywhere. It's just sick. It just reeks of desperation. She's already said that 90% of the people don't like her.....why put these poor people at risk of looking like fools? Most youtube channels get thousands of hits, tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, or MILLIONS! Hundreds is not noteworthy. But Kate is encouraging her little high school self even though she has NO background in marketing or anything besides nursing. I feel sad for these young girls. They could look up to an athlete who uses their high profile for good causes or even bonafide stars who have talent and benevolent hearts. Also, in my town and most cities around here, you can't just go stapling or taping signs everywhere. I think that's why Kate said to follow local laws, but no one seems to get that part. One girl who seems to be in high school already stapled one to what looks like a telephone pole or fence post.
And sorry to say, they're all pretty bad. I'm a teacher, so I never feel ok picking apart people's efforts, but the point of a sign is to be clearly and easily SEEN, and most of them seem to have either made the sign itself too small or they made a poster, but used pastel markers and tiny print. No one driving by will know what they say.
Not that this stunt would help her ratings even if they were professionally done but....this is just getting so sad and pathetic, I'm going to have to completely look away.

I have been in a position before where I watched a good friend be verbally abused and used by another friend. And it pisses me off. I am not the one to mind my own business with this, I told this friend she did not deserve treatment like that! She is still friends with the other friend, but at least she heard what I said.
I don't think anyone deserves to be talked at like that by Kate, BabyMama or anymore. And I too think privately she is hurt and embarrassed. Another option is to just quietly disappear from this mess. She doesn't have to admit anything. Just disappear. Many, many sheeple have done this. They just quietly stop posting. I also think TLC will be ticked that she's encouraging sheeple to use the TLC logo and show logo, and photos. I'm not sure what the PA state law is regarding contests, but there's also federal law. For something of such little value (her signed book = $1 maybe? lol), it's probably okay. Only a few states have strict requirements regarding contests and the prize value usually has to be over $5,000 or something, (I'm too tired to look it up right now). But, she's still on shaky ground in that she has no clear rules or guidelines, and has made a real mess of the whole thing. How does she even know she will see every tweeted entry?
The other HUGE problem is that minors are involved. In fact it is mostly minors. Um, she might be in violation of federal law when a minor wins and she obtains their name and address to ship their prize to them. It doesn't matter who you are, even THE Kate Gosselin mega tv "stah" - using the internet to obtain names and addresses of minors to promote your product or show can be illegal. Hmm, do you think she's smart enough to ask for parental consent? TLC really better get on this first thing in the morning. Some places do permit posters to be placed in windows, but only if permission is obtained first. In order for a person to display a sign in a parking lot such as WalMart, most municipalities require that one registers and receives approval for a permit. A recent situation in our community involved the erection of a sign with directions to a yard sale, and code enforcement removed it.
I seriously doubt that any sheeple would know this. They just want their signed book sent to them cash-on-delivery.
Yes actually when I lived a mile and a half from one of the best Wegman's around (God that was the life) they were super nice about solicitations. You just had to ask. They let Girlscouts sell cookies and people get donations for charity 5k's and all that stuff.
However I highly doubt Wegmans or any store would allow this. It's not for charity or for a noble purpose, unless you count Kate as a charity.

It's not you guys I don't trust for moderation! Mostly just our resident troll. But since she was released to the wild a few weeks ago and found her way home, things have really calmed down. This blog was actually unmoderated for awhile in the beginning before it sort of ballooned and sheeple tried to bring it down. I hope to keep it unmoderated but we'll see, I may turn it off and on depending on whether I'm around to keep an eye on things. So far so good. Thank you.

I completely agree with you! I have to admit that I laughed so hard last night, I cried. It's like she sent her twitter fans on a wild goose chase, and kept changing the rules as they developed in her pea brain. The song from "Mission Impossible" was blaring in my head. All of this happening on a Sunday night with an 8am deadline...lol. She really is insane.
I actually feel sorry for the sheeple, but most of all for her poor kids. Can you imagine the impossible instructions she gives them when she wants something done to her never ending and changing standards? Kate really needs to get professional help, but never will. Rule #1 of photographing the front or back of your car for a pic on the internet is to either make sure the license plate is not in the frame or blur it out on the computer.

Kate's twitter demands last night reminded me of an earlier episode while they were in their old house. Kate was going somewhere and was in the car, and kept barking instructions to Jon- "Jon - get me this," "Jon get me that," while sitting her butt in the car. This went on for a while. Jon was completely disgusted with her bossy insanity, but did as he was told, stood in the driveway waiting for her next instruction, before she threw flip-flops out of the car, and drove away. After she finally drove away, Jon disgustedly said something like, " The Queen has left the premises." I can only imagine what Jon's life was like with this demanding, demeaning, unappreciative shrew. She treats her twitter fans the same way. No big surprise. People were put on this earth to do what Kate tells them to do, to adhere to her constant changing specifications, without fail, and are never permitted to call her on her horrible demanding and demeaning behavior. She is Kate, the Queen, and she is never to be questioned..... Thank God Jon got away from her toxic behavior. Now if only the kids could as well. Queen Kate- everyone was put on this earth to please her.
Could we please refrain from the lectures about watching this show or commenting on blogs? Each of is an adult capable of making our own decisions. Frankly, I am getting tired of feeling like I have to keep replying to posts by stating that I never watch this show, other than the clips I might see online. I was never even a viewer or fan back in the old days of the show, barely even aware of it until the divorce craziness was everywhere you looked back in May or June of 2009. I only tuned into a couple of episodes to see what was going on and I couldn't believe what a bitch Khate was and how miserable Jon and the kids looked. So, I Googled to see if I was alone in this opinion and I eventually found this blog.
Blah, blah, blah, I'm tired of trying to explain that again and again. I do NOT watch the dumb show and I hope other people here do not either. I personally do no think this blog increases Khate's ratings one bit. We are not keeping her on tv, it's the approximately one million people who continue to watch and I bet the vast majority of them don't even know the Gosselin blog world (fan or non-fans) exists.
But, if anyone actually thinks reading and commenting here is helping Khate's ratings, then I fully expect they will be removing this site from their bookmarks.

Looks like this was done last week after the Today Show interview. She's still grifting for a new dating show where Jamie goes out and collects dates for Kate. She's feckless.
Her skin looks absolutely awful considering she's got pancake makeup and lighting for the shoot. You can still see dark patches, which I think is melasma from sun exposure.
She used to be so pretty and dewey, but obviously Kate feels that turning the volume up in every way makes a woman more attractive. She looked better in that cute short cut and yoga pants.
If only Kate just spent this time brainstorming how to make the show better, it would be far more productive than all this.

This is making me feel guilty. How cringe worthy it is for Kate to try and save her behind by having these poor "fans" make signs out of glue and macaroni to save that hideous show. I agree with you admin on the question of public posting for a commercial show like this. I have been involved with scores of non-profit events (schools, ASPCA, juvenile diabetes) and all signs must be approved for any public posting and they must be for non-profit events, charitable events.
I have to add that hey jude, you have a wickedly funny sense of humor. Really, I can't stop laughing. Yet, that preview of Kate being interviewed and responding to her twitter fans is scary, her eyes are dead and her affect seems totally flat.I do worry about the children, she is responsible for them?
Kate, I am embarrassed for you but since you have never considered the kind of embarrassment your child exploitation has had on your kids, you do not get sympathy from me! The end is near, not matter how you try and deny it.
Usually it's not a problem to demonstrate in public places. It's free speech protected by the constitution. You often need to get a permit though first.
But these tweeple or going onto private property, grocery stores and so on. They could kick them off, even have them arrested. Private properties are well within their rights to stop such nonsense.

While I may not agree with her stance as far as Khate is concerned, she soldiers on for her cause even in the face of adversity, and lack of gratitude. What's crazy is Kate is even worse than Joan Crawford at this point. They both treated their children horribly, but at least Joan Crawford was incredibly kind and loyal to her fans. Joan Crawford would never dream of talking to a fan that way, she felt MADE by her fans.

In my opinion, the problem with Kate is that the type of man that is attracted to her, is not the type of man she wants or needs. And the type she wants & needs is not interested in getting embroiled in that picadillo.
She can go on a billion talk shows, soliciting dates etc... and she's still not going to get what she's looking for.

Well said. The dead eyes, the frowning in between forced half smiles. That Kate thinks she's so great in front of the camera is delusional. She doesn't have that "it" where the camera loves you and eats up your personality such that it's palpable on the other side of the screen to the viewer. Her speaking skills haven't improved although she's been mixing things up with her "inside" jokes, sideways glances and occasional baby voice.
As an aside, I watched this season's Next Food Network Star contest and as they eliminated contestants, they upped the bar for presentation and filming performances. Those contestants worked so hard! Practicing in the mirror, rehearsing etc. Especially the final 2-3 contestants improved to a point where I would have thought they were seasoned pros by the time they got to record a demo food show tape.
Kate has been flat. I have seen no ease, no improved language skills and no working with a camera. If it hasn't happened yet, I wonder why Kate insists she's got a "gift" and future in media, other than reality tv.
When I went outside just now to get the morning paper, I was looking for all the signs K8 asked for, and what a surprise, nobody in my neighborhood is flying the Save K8 banner today. And yet I see she is twittering away this morning; nobody at TLC is reading her twitter? Because she is, frankly, quite the embarrassment for them IMHO. This is exactly what happened to Jon when he stopped chasing fame and made a conscious effort to just be Jon, a normal guy enjoying a normal life. I believe he met Ellen at a picnic, and that's how so many relationships start. Just by meeting new folks informally through mutual acquaintances. No cameras, no crew, no booms and no producers.
And a lot of folks meet their other half at church!!! She says oh I only go to church with the kids. Here's a thought, join an adults group or a lot of churches have divorced adults groups or adult singles 30 to 50 or whatever demographic she fits into. On the Sundays she doesn't have the kids, go to church on her own. Since she won't have to worry about the kids, that frees her up to socialize with the other adult singles. If I'm not mistaken her church is a good size, I'm sure there are many divorced adults going there. Or try another church.
It's a golden opportunity to meet somebody who probably has good intentions and she blows it.

Btw, that stupid AOL clip that someone posted above was obviously arranged by TLC to appear this morning to promote the show. They seem to have an arrangement with AOL now, hence the weekly puff pieces by that "Naughty but Nice" columnist. The AOL video won't help ratings, but it did get the attention of at least a dozen new men who have tweeted Khate this morning.
I never thought I'd see the day where I felt sorry for Baby Mama. She grovels at Kate's feet and all she gets in return is being kicked in the face. Repeatedly.
This delusional woman has created her life around worshipping Kate. Doesn't Kate realize that BM is about the only adult fan she has? She should be pleasant to the woman who neglects her husband, children and weight in order to worship her. BM would be in heaven if Kate called her for a three minute interview. Instead she continues to kick her in the teeth.
I find this to be very telling about just how awful Kate is.
So what if this guy was a child abductor?

shoot- she could use EHarmony like a lot of people do. They have an excellent screening process to match you with the right person. You fill out a survey with hundreds of questions. I know a guy who would have NEVER met someone (he's a bit of a dork) but with Eharmony he met someone from another state. They have been happily married for 5 years now. She could be ANONYMOUS for a while and not reveal her identity until after she was hitting it off with the potential match. It would be perfect for her.
