She wouldn't need childcare at all! If she got an 8-4 job, she'd be home in time to meet the bus at 4:30. Jon has them two weekends a month. If she can't take care of those kids for two weekends a month without a nanny/sitter, then she shouldn't be a parent.
I'm at Granny's watching the show w/her. She's sad about the show ending. She 95, will be 96 next month, and she always watches the show and loves the kids. Here are a few of my observations about tonight's episode: -Kate started inventing new words as soon as the episode began. Is "horriblest" really a word, Kate? And it's supposed to be "free REIN", Kate, not "free RANGE". -When the plumber came she told him they were filming and "this is my life and welcome to it." I believe that's what little person Jen says at the start of each show, Kate. Copycat. -As somebody already mentioned, Kate's right tit hung out the entire episode. She's still denying that she's had any cosmetic surgery other than the tummy tuck. -Her first question was asked by PattiPie. -Claims she doesn't feel fully dressed without heels on. -Mady is a very articulate young lady. I'd say she's got it going on in the smart's department. She could teach Kate a thing or two. -Kate threw her brother Kevin under the bus. That was totally uncalled for and should never have happened. Bitch. -Leah wishes she was Hannah. Joel is just glad to be himself. -They showed old episodes of Collin hitting the others kids over and over again. The other kids say that Collin is still the one who starts all the fights. I hope he can behave himself at school this year. I'm afraid that little boy has some major anger problems that need to be addressed. -Kate claims that the paps are still bothering her. Liar. -All but one or two of the kids said that they didn't want Mommy to get another man, contrary to what Kate has said. Liar, again. -Kate claims that "no one child has been affected more than the other by the divorce." IMO that can't possibly be true. Kate has twittered that she plans on staying in TV land. I think anything she does in TV will tank. I also wanted to mention that I'm pretty sure the kids are STILL in high chairs. At 7 years old they're still in high chairs. No wonder they still behave like they're 4 years old during couch time.
I know I am not the only one who is sick to death of the perpetual LIE that Kate and her cronies keep on with that you cannot raise this family on a nurse's salary.
OF COURSE you can if you do certain things like downsize. Not to mention Jon's child support. Not to mention it is downright criminal Kate didn't save the vast majority of their salary from SIX YEARS of their childhood slaving away for this show. There...is...no...excuse.
Reality shows are a new phenomenon! Like we're talking the past 10 years! And in fact, big families were way more common several decades ago. How in the same hell do any of these people thinking they did it before?
It is an EXCUSE because these people, including Grandma of the clan, want the show to continue so they can keep drooling over the kids like sickos and watching them grow. Grandma doesn't see the kids, remember, so she needs the show to see them.
I have many family members and friends in the medical field including my mother and my aunt, and I promise you they are not doctors. While none of them have eight kids, they all live very, very comfortably. So if someone without kids in the medical field can have a very, very comfortable life, someone with eight kids can have at least a comfortable life.
It's a cop out and makes Kate look like she's completely mismanaged the children's salary all this time.

I've been reading here almost since the beginning, and I'm SO grateful for this site!! I was so relieved to see that I was not the crazy one, and that others see kate as a horrible mother. Sadly, some of us recognize this from our own mothers' behavior.
I always thought she was psychologically off, and my mother just laughed when I would say that. Once she started twittering, i saw that she IS crazy, and downright STUPID. I always suspected that she was never very bright, but the twittering proved just how dumb she is (spelling list, anyone?)

Not only does she not need childcare at all anymore, but even if she did, she estranged everyone who could have probably given her FREE babysitting.
I bet my bottom dollar folks like Jodi, Beth, Grandma, and Ashley would have been willing to give up one day a week to watch them for free. And since the kids are in school it would only have to be for a few hours. And since Jon gets them every other weekend, that's only 2 or 3 weekend a month Kate has to worry about them. Jodi already DID babysit on Fridays. FOR FREE. And I'm sure she would have been happy to continue that. Or heck even reconcile with Kate and start up again. I'm sure she loves the children more than her disagreemenet with Kate, I think.

That's when Jodi and Kate lived in the same neighborhood. Quite honestly (Kate speak) I don't think that Jodi would drop everything and make a two-hour round trip to babysit those kids on a moment's notice, or arrange to be there to sit with the kids for the short time she'd be needed when they come home from school. She has her own family and the logistics of it all could be a problem.
Really? Because I think Jodi would make that work. But even if Jodi couldn't, it would be because she lives too far away and not because she wouldn't do it out of the goodness of her heart. There are many other people Kate estranged or burned bridges or whatever you want to call it who could still step up.

I'm just reading over all the tweets in my last comment and I'm laughing at how Khate screwed HER OWN contest up! She awarded a "prize" for runner up in the U.S. to someone who is not U.S. And, she gave someone else a non-U.S. runner up when they are in the U.S. Duh!
My husband was channel surfing and said, "That Billy Ray Cyrus show you like is coming on." In about 10 minutes. So he left it there and I could hear him talking to himself, "What does she have on? Her tit's falling out! What happened to her face? She looks gross. God, she looks so unhappy." I was cleaning the kitchen and could see what he was seeing. She does look awful. Then he said, "WHAT? (They asked what she would change.) She wouldn't change her behavior and work on her marriage and try to keep her family together??" She actually answered that she'd try to be closer to perfect. She is really unbelievable. And finally, she's gonna crap a brick when she has to pay overseas postage for her contest winners. It doesn't matter if it's possible for Khate to have a part time sitter for a couple of hours after school. It can be worked out, millions of working mothers figure out a work schedule and child care. Yes she has eight kids, but they aren't babies and toddlers anymore. It would be possible to find someone to be there after school for an hour or two a day. Hell, teachers in our schools handle more than that all day, every day.
The thing is, Khate REFUSES to go back to a normal life. She WANTS to be a "stah". She loves the attention, the "bodyguard" (purse boy), the tv shows, the limo rides to NYC, Nobu, free shoes and bags, FAO shopping sprees, nice hotels, free vacations, clothes, hair, etc. She loves it all and refuses to go back to normal life.
After only a handful of years of this life, Khate thinks she was born to be a celebrity, living this cushy, freebie, life on a "golden platter" lifestyle. She does not want a REAL job, ever. News flash, Khate - there are MILLIONS of people right now doing jobs they do not want to do! You know, people with two and three degrees and DECADES in their professions who have had to resort to crap jobs for peanuts when they did everything right and used to live a pretty good life. It sucks, but hey, you do what you have to do, ESPECIALLY if you are a parent and you have kids to take care of!
I've said it before, but I smell a short sale coming. That's if she can even find someone to buy that house for a even a fraction of what she paid for it. She's part of the problem why this country got in the housing boom/bust/crisis to begin with. I've seen too many people buy much more house than they could afford. They had little to no savings and never had a thought that if one lost their big paychecks, they'd be screwed. Well, it used to be that way. These days, WE, all the taxpayers, have been screwed in this mess.

You know what, what it all boils down to is that thousands of big families across the country make this work every day.
Kate thinks she so darn special that she doesn't have to figure out how to make it work on her own. Well, she does. It's been quite a ride, but welcome back to the real world.
And she really doesn't get that the life lessons and character and family togetherness that "making it work" helps to promote, is something no TLC paycheck can ever compare to.
I'll give Kate a pass on "off-ten". I was born and raised in Ohio, and that is how I was taught to pronounce it and still do. And that's after numerous speech and theater courses in college, years of singing, years of theater (amateur), and some public speaking experience.
I can't believe Kate is claiming JON didn't respect HER! We have hours and hours of episodes demonstrating her lack of respect for him. Mostly, he just stood and took it, too. She's a sick, sick woman.
Is this show finally ending or is this just a way for TLC to renegotiate a cheaper contract and fewer specials? Hopefully, this will be the end, but I don't trust TLC or Kart. I'm not doing a happy dance yet.

Uugh, I think there might be a big spike in ratings tomorrow. Not from us. I wouldn't choose to endure the torture of watching Khate sit in a chair and answer Twitter questions off her 900th PINK iphone if you held a gun to my head. But, she has been all over the internet all day, starting with the top of AOL's home page today with the dating video clip. That made several new men wander over to her Twitter this morning and say him. It probably continued on throughout the day. She got a ton of new followers today. I guess mostly after the news came out. So, I'm sure a lot of people that stopped watching a long time ago might have tuned in just to get an update on her and the kids.
If the ratings do spike a lot, it will not make a difference to TLC or any other network because they will see that it was the curiosity factor over today's cancellation news. BUT, to Khate, it will be a HUGE deal. She'll have a big "They love me, they really, really love me" moment. Plus, the sheeple are just dumb enough to think their little contest posters helped ratings!
I really wish a fan would ask Khate when she received the news from TLC. Was it this morning, or prior to that? I think someone mentioned in another comment today (sorry, too many here for me to go back and find it now) that she could have already known it was cancelled when she started the Twitter contest. Whoever posted that comment here asked whether Khate could really be that devious to make her sheeple go out and post homemade signs for her when she knew the show was cancelled. It's like she's making them work for her (she does that with everyone, doesn't she?). Does she think she can use what the sheeple did for her to sell herself to another network, saying "Look at how popular I am. I have the most devoted, committed fans"? Yeah, 100 of them maybe.
Her Twitter page is filled with people who haven't tuned into the show in ages and have no idea what she's like these days (or what she's put the kids through). One just asked if she still has the dogs that they got when Jon was there.

Just saw the preview for the RV episode, and it got me thinking that TLC knew they would not be re-signing that contract, and wanted a whopper of an ending. I think they came up with this summer trip in small quarters, having to spend time with her kids, for an extremely long time (what 14 some days they were gone?), and the only 2 or 3 people she had in her life that may or may not have been paid to be there..... were there, and her life all fell apart, and that is why they are saying... "Kate's Life will never be the Same!!"... They had to tell her this morning, because they had the voice over's ready to go to tell the world that its all over baby!!!
Sheesh TLC is conniving and it just shows they don't care 1 bit about the people they film, just the bottom line... I will continue to not watch this Channel and the shows they produce!
Happened to catch some of Surprise Homecoming the other week. A lady who has 3 children, goes to school full-time, and works full-time, her husband in a war zone.
And then there's Kate. Twirling her dyed hair, mocking her children, bashing Jon (yet again), complaining about how exhausted she is, denying all the help she has.
Kate has that "respect" thing all wrong and it's on years/seasons of tape to prove it. The problem she had with Jon is that he wanted the filming to end and she did not. Her "stah" was just beginning to rise up in her own mind and she didn't want to be anything like a normal person. Kate is a real trip, and not a good one! We must not play into her drama and place our eyes on other programming or a good book! She's got plenty of money, but wants people to believe she can only make money in entertainment. Liar, liar pants on fire!

My "sediments" exactly! The fact that she's retweeting comments is saying that she's in agreement with them, even if they aren't coming from her own mouth. Kate, you're not as invincible as you think you are, even if you think you're better than Jon! TLC is probably watching and wouldn't think twice about suing you for breach of contract.
It wouldn't surprise me if TLC throws Kate under the bus, just so they can get better ratings for the final episodes. If they have an exclusive contract with Kate, no matter how they portray her on this RV trip, Kate cannot really criticize them or the show without facing legal repercussions. (Hope she's listening to her manager and lawyer...or uh oh!) TLC noticed more people tuned-in to Sarah Palin's Alaska to watch Kate act like a whiny bitch, than watching Kate on her own show. Now with the promo and cancellation notice, I think that clip is really a glimpse of what TLC has in store for the Queen of Mean and it ain't pretty. TLC has nothing to lose, whereas Kate has everything to lose by being typecasted as a 'nasty mom-bitch'. (Someone once posted eons ago that TLC would continue to use Kate until she is no longer marketable to other tv networks...this is so true, like The Hill's Heidi and Spencer.)
This announcement was a calculated move by TLC to garner interest/boost ratings for the final season. I immediately thought of Conan O'Brien and how more viewers tuned-in to watch his final episodes on The Tonight Show. Same goes with other tv shows in their final season. People are curious as to how it will end.
I shamefully admit that I was a sucker who watched the series finale of Jon&Kate Plus 8. Will I tune-in this time around? Absolutely not. Not after realizing how detrimental this reality show has been to the Gosselin 8.
This whole air of I need the entertainment industry to care for these kids is like nails on a chalkboard every time I hear it.
Kate does realize that most people aren't in the entertainment industry, like maybe 5% of people are in this field. Of those maybe only 1% make any decent money at it. There are way more struggling actors, people making minimum wage holding mics, etc., than there are Kates.
The point being at minimum, 95% of Americans are supporting their families without exposing themselves to Hollywood or NY or exposing their face or their children's faces even for a second.
I don't know we've said this over and over, Kate doesn't get it. Kate WANTS to be famous and uses supporting her children as an excuse and justify it. I would respect her a lot more if she just admitted it has nothing to do with the kids, it's just about her.
After seeing the promo clip and reading Kate's tweets about this recent trip, I sincerely hope these final episodes will not focus just on the drama and low-points of the trip. However, I have my doubts as TLC's only concern is ratings and the bottom-line. Anything to make as much profit as they can off this family.
TLC, those kids deserve to exit their series on a high-note, focusing on their positive experiences, not adult drama. They have worked hard for the last six years helping you earn multi-million dollar profits, while earning practically nothing until the pathetic PA DOL intervened.
I blame Kate for being so consumed with fame and fortune, that she didn't know when to exit her show gracefully...for her kids' sake. Now she has absolutely no control on the final episodes.
And even though Kate Plus 8's end is actually happening, I'm not exactly ready to celebrate when TLC will probably throw this entire family under the bus, just to boost ratings.
I can't figure Kate out. She insists on staying in the entertment field, but SHE'S NOT ENTERTAINING!
She has no natural talent that will carry her in show business. I wonder if anyone has advised her to take a couple of classes in acting, or singing, or speaking, etc...?
The problem with her is that she insists on shoe horning her way into the "biz" without polishing up her act.

Is it possible that Kate knew the end of the show was coming when she made this statement recently? Her comment is very passive aggressive - "But you know they can use what they capture because I don't care." Sounds like she had NO say whatsoever in at least the last few episodes, sfter saying she had final say in what made it to TV,so she now does not care?!?! What?
I am thinking TLC knew the show was going to be cancelled and allowed the footage which made her look really bad (they let Kate's true colors shine through) in recent and upcoming episodes, so Kate's response to that is "I don't care." I think she does, because she took the time to warn her fans of her bad behavior, and made excuses, while trying to appear to slough it off. I honestly think since the Sarah Palin episode, TLC knew they had a loose cannon on their hands, and stopped editing her bad behavior.
As for a future show, this may or may not happen in my opinion. Twisted Kate never came to fruition and Kate clearly said over and over again, it was going to happen. She literally is a puppet of TLC and once she figures that out, Kate's rage is going to come fully unleashed. TLC may have told her they were looking into other projects for her (dating show) when they told her Kate Plus 8 was cancelled, which may explain why she appears to be taking the news fairly well. I predict some very ugly meltdowns from Kate in the near future when she realizes that she is not going to have a show of her own of any duration, if at all.
Most importantly, the kids are now free from filming and having their lives exposed by their mother. Sick that Kate would never do this for them. I hope Jon pays very close attention to these kids in days to come, as she is bound to be angrier than ever before once the reality sinks in.

Who writes this crap? I am appalled that Huff Post would have such a nonsense article about Kate. Don't they pride themselves on reporting the news? This sounds like one of Kate's twitter fans wrote it, "perfect timing for the show to be cancelled as now Kate can pursue her talents as a producer" I thought you needed a certain skill set and at least some insight into others to produce but not according to Huff Post. 99% of the comments are in support of the show being over though. And the kids....there will be issues but it will be interesting to see if the private school continues. I'be always thought TLC was subsidizing the tuition through her salary so the kids could easily get time off to film.

I see that "I do everything for my kids" is still tweeting up a storm this morning, instead of spending time with those kids who were crying at the breakfast table yesterday. Vanity, thy name is Kate, and you ain't pretty!
Boy of boy oh boy. She got the shears out and is eyeing Jon's man parts pretty hard. Only a matter of time before Jon has enough to slap a restraining order on her butt. Between talking about how wonderful she is (TWO books on the NYTimes at the same time) she is discussing all the horrors she went through with the divorce that only her nobility has kept from being spilled to the airways. What a wonderful person she thinks she is. The only good thing about high ratings if she got them would be that she could go back to self idol-worship and back off Jon for a day or two.

(snipped) But the other huge problem was the possible violation of federal law if she had a teen winner (which most of the entries were) because then she'd be using the internet to obtain the name and address of a minor, which would require parental consent. I still think the crap was hitting the fan at TLC today over the mess that she created for them. Damn, would I LOVE if someone could interview someone at TLC and get the real scoop about the "contest" and what went down!

I've been reading Kate's twitter page and LOL at all of her RTs (retweets) especially recently where fans are complimenting her and telling her how much they'll miss the show. I have a very strong feeling she thinks these will get to TLC and they'll take notice, but as usual, there's one very MAJOR flaw with her plan. She's sending the RTs to herself; not once has she sent one to TLC (and neither have the fans.
I needed this chuckle this morning. Thanks Kate, for once again showing your ignorance. She's really on a roll, isn't she? What with the ridiculous contest to the string of RTs, what will she do next?
We speculated what Kate would do when the show was finally cancelled and we're seeing it in the words she's using on Twitter this morning. I worry for the kids when she's in this frame of mind even more after reading some of today's ugliest.
I don't remember when any celeb interacted with fans and haters like this. She must not realize that she has very few options left and that if she wants to continue in television (as she said she hopes) it's the public who will make or break her and that she's looking even worse than she ever did with these interactions on Twitter. Keep it up Kate; before long you won't even be able to get a job at McDonalds.

There you have it, everyone! Khate has confirmed that for her, it's ALL about fame and money. She thinks that the biggest insult she can give a non-fan is that she, the non-fan, isn't FAMOUS, on book covers, on TV!
It's obvious why Khate's biggest fans are teen girls. Not all teen girls think that way, of course, but the sheeple ones do. Ok folks, this should get more and more interesting as the weeks and months pass w/ Kate no longer being employed by TLC. How will she afford the house, what will she do to keep food on the table? Will she let the kids lead a normal life now or force them under the spot light w/ another network or will she go out on her own and find work?? I wonder if we will see her move out of that Kompound and answer the burning question of did she really buy it or did TLC buy it for a set??? Either way the kids will still be in the spot light w/ the P people in the coming weeks/months thanks to the cancellation. I do have to commend Jon for taking the high road and being positive w/ his comment to the press.

She wouldn't need childcare at all! If she got an 8-4 job, she'd be home in time to meet the bus at 4:30. Jon has them two weekends a month. If she can't take care of those kids for two weekends a month without a nanny/sitter, then she shouldn't be a parent.
I'm at Granny's watching the show w/her. She's sad about the show ending. She 95, will be 96 next month, and she always watches the show and loves the kids. Here are a few of my observations about tonight's episode:
-Kate started inventing new words as soon as the episode began. Is "horriblest" really a word, Kate? And it's supposed to be "free REIN", Kate, not "free RANGE".
-When the plumber came she told him they were filming and "this is my life and welcome to it."
I believe that's what little person Jen says at the start of each show, Kate. Copycat.
-As somebody already mentioned, Kate's right tit hung out the entire episode. She's still denying that she's had any cosmetic surgery other than the tummy tuck.
-Her first question was asked by PattiPie.
-Claims she doesn't feel fully dressed without heels on.
-Mady is a very articulate young lady. I'd say she's got it going on in the smart's department. She could teach Kate a thing or two.
-Kate threw her brother Kevin under the bus. That was totally uncalled for and should never have happened. Bitch.
-Leah wishes she was Hannah. Joel is just glad to be himself.
-They showed old episodes of Collin hitting the others kids over and over again. The other kids say that Collin is still the one who starts all the fights. I hope he can behave himself at school this year. I'm afraid that little boy has some major anger problems that need to be addressed.
-Kate claims that the paps are still bothering her. Liar.
-All but one or two of the kids said that they didn't want Mommy to get another man, contrary to what Kate has said. Liar, again.
-Kate claims that "no one child has been affected more than the other by the divorce." IMO that can't possibly be true.
Kate has twittered that she plans on staying in TV land. I think anything she does in TV will tank.
I also wanted to mention that I'm pretty sure the kids are STILL in high chairs. At 7 years old they're still in high chairs. No wonder they still behave like they're 4 years old during couch time.
I know I am not the only one who is sick to death of the perpetual LIE that Kate and her cronies keep on with that you cannot raise this family on a nurse's salary.
OF COURSE you can if you do certain things like downsize. Not to mention Jon's child support. Not to mention it is downright criminal Kate didn't save the vast majority of their salary from SIX YEARS of their childhood slaving away for this show. There...is...no...excuse.
Reality shows are a new phenomenon! Like we're talking the past 10 years! And in fact, big families were way more common several decades ago. How in the same hell do any of these people thinking they did it before?
It is an EXCUSE because these people, including Grandma of the clan, want the show to continue so they can keep drooling over the kids like sickos and watching them grow. Grandma doesn't see the kids, remember, so she needs the show to see them.
I have many family members and friends in the medical field including my mother and my aunt, and I promise you they are not doctors. While none of them have eight kids, they all live very, very comfortably. So if someone without kids in the medical field can have a very, very comfortable life, someone with eight kids can have at least a comfortable life.
It's a cop out and makes Kate look like she's completely mismanaged the children's salary all this time.

I've been reading here almost since the beginning, and I'm SO grateful for this site!! I was so relieved to see that I was not the crazy one, and that others see kate as a horrible mother. Sadly, some of us recognize this from our own mothers' behavior.
I always thought she was psychologically off, and my mother just laughed when I would say that.
Once she started twittering, i saw that she IS crazy, and downright STUPID. I always suspected that she was never very bright, but the twittering proved just how dumb she is (spelling list, anyone?)

Not only does she not need childcare at all anymore, but even if she did, she estranged everyone who could have probably given her FREE babysitting.
I bet my bottom dollar folks like Jodi, Beth, Grandma, and Ashley would have been willing to give up one day a week to watch them for free. And since the kids are in school it would only have to be for a few hours. And since Jon gets them every other weekend, that's only 2 or 3 weekend a month Kate has to worry about them. Jodi already DID babysit on Fridays. FOR FREE. And I'm sure she would have been happy to continue that. Or heck even reconcile with Kate and start up again. I'm sure she loves the children more than her disagreemenet with Kate, I think.

That's when Jodi and Kate lived in the same neighborhood. Quite honestly (Kate speak) I don't think that Jodi would drop everything and make a two-hour round trip to babysit those kids on a moment's notice, or arrange to be there to sit with the kids for the short time she'd be needed when they come home from school. She has her own family and the logistics of it all could be a problem.

Really? Because I think Jodi would make that work. But even if Jodi couldn't, it would be because she lives too far away and not because she wouldn't do it out of the goodness of her heart. Without asking Jodi we don't know what she would or wouldn't do. Not the point anyway.
My husband was channel surfing and said, "That Billy Ray Cyrus show you like is coming on." In about 10 minutes. So he left it there and I could hear him talking to himself, "What does she have on? Her tit's falling out! What happened to her face? She looks gross. God, she looks so unhappy." I was cleaning the kitchen and could see what he was seeing. She does look awful. Then he said, "WHAT? (They asked what she would change.) She wouldn't change her behavior and work on her marriage and try to keep her family together??" She actually answered that she'd try to be closer to perfect. She is really unbelievable.
And finally, she's gonna crap a brick when she has to pay overseas postage for her contest winners. I sponsor kids all over the world and the postage is usually 2 or 3 times what the package is worth! Bet she won't be opening up the next contest - and she has confirmed there will be one - to those outside the US!
Hahaha, as I was getting ready to shut it down, I saw that she tweeted up above that it's not over yet. She never ceases to amaze.

It doesn't matter if it's possible for Khate to have a part time sitter for a couple of hours after school. It can be worked out, millions of working mothers figure out a work schedule and child care. Yes she has eight kids, but they aren't babies and toddlers anymore. It would be possible to find someone to be there after school for an hour or two a day. Hell, teachers in our schools handle more than that all day, every day.
The thing is, Khate REFUSES to go back to a normal life. She WANTS to be a "stah". She loves the attention, the "bodyguard" (purse boy), the tv shows, the limo rides to NYC, Nobu, free shoes and bags, FAO shopping sprees, nice hotels, free vacations, clothes, hair, etc. She loves it all and refuses to go back to normal life.
After only a handful of years of this life, Khate thinks she was born to be a celebrity, living this cushy, freebie, life on a "golden platter" lifestyle. She does not want a REAL job, ever. News flash, Khate - there are MILLIONS of people right now doing jobs they do not want to do! You know, people with two and three degrees and DECADES in their professions who have had to resort to crap jobs for peanuts when they did everything right and used to live a pretty good life. It sucks, but hey, you do what you have to do, ESPECIALLY if you are a parent and you have kids to take care of!
I've said it before, but I smell a short sale coming. That's if she can even find someone to buy that house for a even a fraction of what she paid for it. She's part of the problem why this country got in the housing boom/bust/crisis to begin with. I've seen too many people buy much more house than they could afford. They had little to no savings and never had a thought that if one lost their big paychecks, they'd be screwed. Well, it used to be that way. These days, WE, all the taxpayers, have been screwed in this mess.

And I think we all get the WE CALLED IT award tonight. Of COURSE she is blaming TLC. Why wouldn't she blame the network that made her?
Actually? These next few weeks might be the most interesting yet, to watch this all play out. I predict a very interesting ride watching her cope with this.
I'm listening to the night sounds, and there is such a wild noise going on out there. No, it's not a storm. It's, it's.....like a cacophony of sounds, yet so harmonious at the same time.
There are WHOOO HOOs mixed with "YIPPEEs" and whistles. There are Hallelujahs interspersed with the rhythm of tapping feet. I hear horns
blaring and bells ringing, and yet underneath it all, I hear whispered prayers of gratitude.
What is this strange phenomenon that has taken over the night? Why is the world so happily LOUD tonight?
Whatever it is, I'm privileged to hear it.
You know what, what it all boils down to is that thousands of big families across the country make this work every day.
Kate thinks she so darn special that she doesn't have to figure out how to make it work on her own. Well, she does. It's been quite a ride, but welcome back to the real world.
And she really doesn't get that the life lessons and character and family togetherness that "making it work" helps to promote, is something no TLC paycheck can ever compare to.
I'll give Kate a pass on "off-ten". I was born and raised in Ohio, and that is how I was taught to pronounce it and still do. And that's after numerous speech and theater courses in college, years of singing, years of theater (amateur), and some public speaking experience.
I can't believe Kate is claiming JON didn't respect HER! We have hours and hours of episodes demonstrating her lack of respect for him. Mostly, he just stood and took it, too. She's a sick, sick woman.

Is this show finally ending or is this just a way for TLC to renegotiate a cheaper contract and fewer specials? Hopefully, this will be the end, but I don't trust TLC or Kart. I'm not doing a happy dance yet.

Uugh, I think there might be a big spike in ratings tomorrow. Not from us. I wouldn't choose to endure the torture of watching Khate sit in a chair and answer Twitter questions off her 900th PINK iphone if you held a gun to my head. But, she has been all over the internet all day, starting with the top of AOL's home page today with the dating video clip. That made several new men wander over to her Twitter this morning and say him. It probably continued on throughout the day. She got a ton of new followers today. I guess mostly after the news came out. So, I'm sure a lot of people that stopped watching a long time ago might have tuned in just to get an update on her and the kids.
If the ratings do spike a lot, it will not make a difference to TLC or any other network because they will see that it was the curiosity factor over today's cancellation news. BUT, to Khate, it will be a HUGE deal. She'll have a big "They love me, they really, really love me" moment. Plus, the sheeple are just dumb enough to think their little contest posters helped ratings!
I really wish a fan would ask Khate when she received the news from TLC. Was it this morning, or prior to that? I think someone mentioned in another comment today (sorry, too many here for me to go back and find it now) that she could have already known it was cancelled when she started the Twitter contest. Whoever posted that comment here asked whether Khate could really be that devious to make her sheeple go out and post homemade signs for her when she knew the show was cancelled. It's like she's making them work for her (she does that with everyone, doesn't she?). Does she think she can use what the sheeple did for her to sell herself to another network, saying "Look at how popular I am. I have the most devoted, committed fans"? Yeah, 100 of them maybe.
Her Twitter page is filled with people who haven't tuned into the show in ages and have no idea what she's like these days (or what she's put the kids through). One just asked if she still has the dogs that they got when Jon was there.

LOL! One of us should take down the number of Twitter followers she has, and keep track of it every day for a few weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of the new followers do what this one said and unfollow her once they start getting all her crazy tweets!
Just saw the preview for the RV episode, and it got me thinking that TLC knew they would not be re-signing that contract, and wanted a whopper of an ending. I think they came up with this summer trip in small quarters, having to spend time with her kids, for an extremely long time (what 14 some days they were gone?), and the only 2 or 3 people she had in her life that may or may not have been paid to be there..... were there, and her life all fell apart, and that is why they are saying... "Kate's Life will never be the Same!!"... They had to tell her this morning, because they had the voice over's ready to go to tell the world that its all over baby!!!
Sheesh TLC is conniving and it just shows they don't care 1 bit about the people they film, just the bottom line... I will continue to not watch this Channel and the shows they produce!
Happened to catch some of Surprise Homecoming the other week. A lady who has 3 children, goes to school full-time, and works full-time, her husband in a war zone.
And then there's Kate. Twirling her dyed hair, mocking her children, bashing Jon (yet again), complaining about how exhausted she is, denying all the help she has.
And who's the star?
Not you, Kate.
Kate has that "respect" thing all wrong and it's on years/seasons of tape to prove it. The problem she had with Jon is that he wanted the filming to end and she did not. Her "stah" was just beginning to rise up in her own mind and she didn't want to be anything like a normal person. Kate is a real trip, and not a good one! We must not play into her drama and place our eyes on other programming or a good book! She's got plenty of money, but wants people to believe she can only make money in entertainment. Liar, liar pants on fire!

My "sediments" exactly! The fact that she's retweeting comments is saying that she's in agreement with them, even if they aren't coming from her own mouth. Kate, you're not as invincible as you think you are, even if you think you're better than Jon! TLC is probably watching and wouldn't think twice about suing you for breach of contract.
It wouldn't surprise me if TLC throws Kate under the bus, just so they can get better ratings for the final episodes. If they have an exclusive contract with Kate, no matter how they portray her on this RV trip, Kate cannot really criticize them or the show without facing legal repercussions. (Hope she's listening to her manager and lawyer...or uh oh!) TLC noticed more people tuned-in to Sarah Palin's Alaska to watch Kate act like a whiny bitch, than watching Kate on her own show. Now with the promo and cancellation notice, I think that clip is really a glimpse of what TLC has in store for the Queen of Mean and it ain't pretty. TLC has nothing to lose, whereas Kate has everything to lose by being typecasted as a 'nasty mom-bitch'. (Someone once posted eons ago that TLC would continue to use Kate until she is no longer marketable to other tv networks...this is so true, like The Hill's Heidi and Spencer.)
This announcement was a calculated move by TLC to garner interest/boost ratings for the final season. I immediately thought of Conan O'Brien and how more viewers tuned-in to watch his final episodes on The Tonight Show. Same goes with other tv shows in their final season. People are curious as to how it will end.
I shamefully admit that I was a sucker who watched the series finale of Jon&Kate Plus 8. Will I tune-in this time around? Absolutely not. Not after realizing how detrimental this reality show has been to the Gosselin 8.
While this is good news for the kids, this is more of a ratings ploy from TLC. Her previous series finale brought in decent ratings:

Watching that series finale didn't help get those kids away from the cameras. I learned my lesson the hard way.

Maybe it is the autographed pictures that she couldn't give away in Tenn. or extras she printed for the school project. Big whoop.
This whole air of I need the entertainment industry to care for these kids is like nails on a chalkboard every time I hear it.
Kate does realize that most people aren't in the entertainment industry, like maybe 5% of people are in this field. Of those maybe only 1% make any decent money at it. There are way more struggling actors, people making minimum wage holding mics, etc., than there are Kates.
The point being at minimum, 95% of Americans are supporting their families without exposing themselves to Hollywood or NY or exposing their face or their children's faces even for a second.
I don't know we've said this over and over, Kate doesn't get it. Kate WANTS to be famous and uses supporting her children as an excuse and justify it. I would respect her a lot more if she just admitted it has nothing to do with the kids, it's just about her.

After seeing the promo clip and reading Kate's tweets about this recent trip, I sincerely hope these final episodes will not focus just on the drama and low-points of the trip. However, I have my doubts as TLC's only concern is ratings and the bottom-line. Anything to make as much profit as they can off this family.
TLC, those kids deserve to exit their series on a high-note, focusing on their positive experiences, not adult drama. They have worked hard for the last six years helping you earn multi-million dollar profits, while earning practically nothing until the pathetic PA DOL intervened.
I blame Kate for being so consumed with fame and fortune, that she didn't know when to exit her show gracefully...for her kids' sake. Now she has absolutely no control on the final episodes.
And even though Kate Plus 8's end is actually happening, I'm not exactly ready to celebrate when TLC will probably throw this entire family under the bus, just to boost ratings.

Is it possible that Kate knew the end of the show was coming when she made this statement recently? Her comment is very passive aggressive - "But you know they can use what they capture because I don't care." Sounds like she had NO say whatsoever in at least the last few episodes, sfter saying she had final say in what made it to TV,so she now does not care?!?! What?
I am thinking TLC knew the show was going to be cancelled and allowed the footage which made her look really bad (they let Kate's true colors shine through) in recent and upcoming episodes, so Kate's response to that is "I don't care." I think she does, because she took the time to warn her fans of her bad behavior, and made excuses, while trying to appear to slough it off. I honestly think since the Sarah Palin episode, TLC knew they had a loose cannon on their hands, and stopped editing her bad behavior.
As for a future show, this may or may not happen in my opinion. Twisted Kate never came to fruition and Kate clearly said over and over again, it was going to happen. She literally is a puppet of TLC and once she figures that out, Kate's rage is going to come fully unleashed. TLC may have told her they were looking into other projects for her (dating show) when they told her Kate Plus 8 was cancelled, which may explain why she appears to be taking the news fairly well. I predict some very ugly meltdowns from Kate in the near future when she realizes that she is not going to have a show of her own of any duration, if at all.
Most importantly, the kids are now free from filming and having their lives exposed by their mother. Sick that Kate would never do this for them. I hope Jon pays very close attention to these kids in days to come, as she is bound to be angrier than ever before once the reality sinks in.

Who writes this crap? I am appalled that Huff Post would have such a nonsense article about Kate. Don't they pride themselves on reporting the news? This sounds like one of Kate's twitter fans wrote it, "perfect timing for the show to be cancelled as now Kate can pursue her talents as a producer" I thought you needed a certain skill set and at least some insight into others to produce but not according to Huff Post. 99% of the comments are in support of the show being over though. Don't you think that those kids have been through enough without a "tell-all" book that would open them up to more scrutiny? They need privacy, time for emotional healing, NOT once again being thrown into the mouths of a hungry media.
Jon is doing exactly as Jon should be doing - taking the high road, not commenting, and keeping out of the public eye. Good for him.

I've been reading Kate's twitter page and LOL at all of her RTs (retweets) especially recently where fans are complimenting her and telling her how much they'll miss the show. I have a very strong feeling she thinks these will get to TLC and they'll take notice, but as usual, there's one very MAJOR flaw with her plan. She's sending the RTs to herself; not once has she sent one to TLC (and neither have the fans.
I needed this chuckle this morning. Thanks Kate, for once again showing your ignorance. She's really on a roll, isn't she? What with the ridiculous contest to the string of RTs, what will she do next?
We speculated what Kate would do when the show was finally cancelled and we're seeing it in the words she's using on Twitter this morning. I worry for the kids when she's in this frame of mind even more after reading some of today's ugliest.
I don't remember when any celeb interacted with fans and haters like this. She must not realize that she has very few options left and that if she wants to continue in television (as she said she hopes) it's the public who will make or break her and that she's looking even worse than she ever did with these interactions on Twitter. Keep it up Kate; before long you won't even be able to get a job at McDonalds.

There you have it, everyone! Khate has confirmed that for her, it's ALL about fame and money. She thinks that the biggest insult she can give a non-fan is that she, the non-fan, isn't FAMOUS, on book covers, on TV!
It's obvious why Khate's biggest fans are teen girls. Not all teen girls think that way, of course, but the sheeple ones do. Probably becoming a maternity Nurse was all part of her master plan so she could figure out how best to beat the system.. she discovered that poly cystic ovarian syndrome was her best bet ( even tho she really doesn't fit that profile) and then found herself a man... ugh...those poor poor kids...

Now that her show has been cancelled how many vacations do you think she will take the kids on that she has to pay for herself. My guess is ZERO!
Ok folks, this should get more and more interesting as the weeks and months pass w/ Kate no longer being employed by TLC. How will she afford the house, what will she do to keep food on the table? Will she let the kids lead a normal life now or force them under the spot light w/ another network or will she go out on her own and find work?? I wonder if we will see her move out of that Kompound and answer the burning question of did she really buy it or did TLC buy it for a set??? Either way the kids will still be in the spot light w/ the P people in the coming weeks/months thanks to the cancellation. I do have to commend Jon for taking the high road and being positive w/ his comment to the press.
