Kate and kids filming in Wyoming's Jackson Hole valley

Continuing their Wyoming working vacation, Kate says she and the kids (and crew) were in Jackson Hole today.

And other vacationers continue to spot them. One mom reported a sighting in the famous town square in Jackson.

That's just a stock photo by the way, no photos of Kate. Where have all the paps gone????

I wonder if Kate told the kids where they were.

I don't think I included this in the recap but I remember in the drunken NYC episode with Jamie, how much Kate hated the clubbing and dancing. Fair enough, lots of people hate dancing. But then she said, I would rather read a book! LOL, like you would rather get your eyebrows plucked? The way she said that made it seem like she hates reading, which wouldn't surprise me, as most books are about other people, not Kate.

I have to say Wyoming looks really beautiful from the photos I've seen as I googled for stock photos. Maybe I'll tag along with my BFF next time she goes home. I much prefer places like this as opposed to say Disney or something.

Yellowstone Insider had a hilarious post about Kate and I looked at their page on facebook and they followed up, saying that Kate has insane twitter fans that they had to block because they weren't being nice enough to Kate. This is the end of Kate's latest tweet: Kids are thnkng me all day.
WHAT IS THAT???? All Kate and how wonderful SHE is, all the time. As someone so eloquently pointed out earlier, kids are not built like that. They may ooh and aah over specific things but for her to keep saying that they are thanking her all day for taking them is just unrealistic to me. Kids just aren't built like that at that age. It's so contrived.

Hahahahaha, I fell for it. It's actually Khateplusmy8 who wrote that part about the kids thanking her all day. I love that person, whoever he or she is!!!! Subsequent posts were just as hilarious!

She's going on about her number of followers again and asking all her tweeple what their plans are. I can tell you right now Kate, it's not an all expensed paid trip! Their plans are probably laundry and watching kids and cashing their meager paychecks like most hard working Americans.

Can just one of her selfish Tweeple please tell her Kate don't worry about just go ENJOY YOUR KIDS ON YOUR VACATION.

Wyoming has its beautiful places. I was at a ranch near Laramie yrs ago. Horseback riding into the mountains of the national forest near there. Breathtaking! Wish I could get there again to see more!.

My daughter moved to a small town in a desert area of Wyo. last year. They didn't stay even a year and moved back to Wis. Ugliest town I have ever seen. (Oil town) Flat, brown, windy, dusty, horrible winter, 40 miles from a grocery store & others. Not the best part of Wyo at all. I am glad I didn't have to visit her there.

Bluenose, respectfully, your experience with hippies, as you describe, is extremely limited and not even from this country. The hippie movement in the 60s started as a uniquely American movement that spread globally.

I really don't understand the point you were trying to make in your post.

Kate Gosselin Posts Sad Tweet From Yellowstone National Park

Sunday, 17 July 2011 12:43

Kate Gosselin and her brood of eight children apparently visited Yellowstone National Park yesterday, though all the evidence we have is a Twitter posting -- and a pathetic one, at that.

It's a rather sad Twitter posting, actually:

yellowstone natl park..Scenery breathtaking&old faithful was amazing!Kids r loving travel,as usual.luv 2hear 'mommy thx 4 bringing us here'

Yes, you did read it right. It's really all about her, not about the Park. Her television producers bring her and her kids to Yellowstone, one of the most breathtaking places on the planet, and all she can do is reflect on how awsome a mom she is.

If Steve jumps in there with her, no kids allowed, we won't see her until they film a fake Christmas show! As long as he takes some good libations along for both of them, she'll be as happy as a goat in a junkyard.

Wow, Yellowstone Insider posted the link to their Khate article earlier tonight, and once the sheeple noticed it, they tweeted away. The tweets went back and forth for about four hours (from around 6:15 to 10:15 pm EST). Go to this search page and read up from the bottom, around nine hours ago, or around 4pm (EST July 17th, which is when Yelowstone first tweeted the link, causing the sheeple to leap to Khate's defense:

Here's the Facebook link for Yellowstone Insider:

http://www.facebook.com/YellowstoneInsider

They posted the link to their article about Khate and her tweet on their Facebook page and then received a bunch of negative, anti-Khate coments from their regular readers.

Apparently, the delusional sheeple still think that there are only a dozen nonfans on this blog and others that can't stand what Khate is doing to the kids and want to see the exploitation finally end before it's too late. They pounced all over Yellowstone Insider on Twitter but he(?) gave it right back to them and tweeted (amongst other things):

ystoneinsider Yellowstone Insider
@SuperPattyPie So people created false accounts and followed @ystoneinsider on FB months go in anticipation of Gosselin visit? Paranoid!

ystoneinsider Yellowstone Insider
@SuperPattyPie You are free to love Kate Gosselin. But don't criticize my readers for expressing their opinions.

ystoneinsider Yellowstone Insider
@SuperPattyPie Hey, criticize it all you want! It's a free internet. Go to town. But don't insult , dismiss or diminish my readers .

It's really unbelievable how the sheeple can't quite grasp the fact that in the world outside of the blog world half the people do not even know who Khate is, and the other half are totally onto her and have her number.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

The Yellowstone Insider didn't even give any "inside" information on Kate and predictably her fans went rabid on him anyway. He just gave an opinion, that her tweet was all about her. Which, it was. Why is he not allowed to say that, but they would be fawning all over him if his opinion was Kate was lovely? I don't understand why her certifiable fans cannot even allow others to have an opinion. And a completely reasonable one at that. I could care less whether a park ranger thought she was lovely or not, I'm just curious what their opinion is and if they can provide any information about what went on during filming, which is always telling. I don't get it.

He said what we all said hours before he ever spoke, about how Kate turned Yellowstone around and made it about thanking HER for the trip. Only difference is he acted surprised. We're used to this from Kate.

&&&&&&&&&
Well most have, and they left the flock, most of them ages ago. It's most telling when a random person encounters them and posts on FB or twitter. Like the waitress in Cody who was taken aback by Kate's air of being too good for the restaurant, or the random tourist in S.D. who commented on how filming the kids was exploitation. These are random samplings of people, no ties to any blogs, and they're onto her, they see what we see.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I've seen this before actually with crazy fans. They become so delusional about their celeb's status and standing they do things like wait for the Academy Award nominee announcement for their name (even though celeb was last nominated three decades ago), scan publications all day long for their name even though they rarely appear, write letters to their celeb suggesting parts they should play in upcoming movies they have no chance in hell of getting, and on and on.

We are seeing this same sort of delusion with Kate's fans as her star dwindles.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Do you think Kate's proud of her fans' bad behavior? I think so, especially the way she retweeted the infamous "Jon ruined the family" tweet.

I love how most of us here have strongly, strongly encouraged the non-fans to knock it off on twitter and have made it crystal clear, most of us hate that behavior. And then there's Kate, encouraging her fans to behave like 4 year olds, thanking them for defending her, retweeting their highly inappropriate and emotionally damaging tweets, etc. What a piece of work. Figures.

Nobody Likes a Narcissist said...

Admin, yes, I think Khate LOVES the fact that her sheeple fans defend her to the nonfans on Twitter, and also to anyone in the world who writes anything that they perceive to be the slightest bit critical of Khate. It feeds her ego and delusions of grandeur, making her feel so important. She loves it and she encourages it. It's really all she has left.

I'm just thinking that it will be hysterical if these episodes with this trip are as low rated as the last travel episodes were (Australia/New Zealand). But damn, it sure sounds like they plan on airing a LOT more episodes. I wonder if they're just shooting as much as they can before school starts because that will be the end of the shooting and it will give them enough episodes until February (if that is in fact the end date).

MickeyMcKean said...

Admin, most definitely, next time be sure to tag along with your BFF when she goes home to WY. Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons are something you will never forget, and my childhood memory of Jackson Hole was the arch made of antlers, as seen in the above photo.

The term "Hippie", later popularized by Abbie Hoffman to name a generation, was originally a derogatory term used by Beatniks in the very early 1960's; both here in Canada and the US. It described teenagers who dressed like beatniks on the weekends and invaded coffee houses , pretending they were so "hip". They read Jack Kerouac and Lawrence Ferlinghetti, then went home to their suburban high schools and bragged about how cool they were.
As someone from the Beat generation, I remember them well. They were really irritating little kids.We scornfully called them Hippies.

When the sadly unfinished revolution began, Abbie Hoffman and others reclaimed the word and used it as a positive name for what was happening.
For today's generation it seems it's all just a fashion statement....

88888888888888888888888888888888888
Kate won't take them anywhere fun that the kids would love, because those places will be crowded in the summer months. You know Kate can't handle a crowd, she would want the place shut down for just her, unfortunately she does not have the "star power" to do that. Not many people do. I think Kate is afraid to be in a big, crowded public place. There are a lot of people who do not like her. Of course, most would just give her the evil eye and walk by, but some may actually verbally harrass her, or do worse. I don't think she would take that risk and it is her own fault that her kids can't enjoy a place like that because of her reputation.

Also, I would hate to be one of the people to pay good money for a ticket to one of these places and then have Kate prancing around with her entourage! Even if they didn't close a park, she would most likely get preferential treatment and that would burn me up. (Did I say prancing? I meant clomping in heels)

Or see 'mini-Kate' (Mady)gushing theatrically over some inane thing they did when 'mommy' took them on this fantasticish trip, which was actually bought and paid for by tlc, which again turns around to the kids paid for their own wonderful trip with yet MORE of their childhood! The Yellowstone Park Ranger posted on her blog about the K+8 filming. The post really is not about Khate, or the show. They just happened to be a very small part of her day and it's mentioned in her post:

http://oneyearinyellowstone.blogspot.com/2011/07/shane-sabrina-plus-six.html

Arriving at Old Faithful on Friday, I had my Park Ranger uniform in my travel bag because I had been invited to assist with a film permit. America's First National Park regularly receives film permit requests for all sorts of reasons but this time it was for a reality TV show called Kate plus Eight. I was excited to be one of the rangers assisting with this film permit and even more excited that my family would get to see "Ranger Sabrina in Action!"
Old Faithful was predicted to erupted at 6:31pm, +/- 10 minutes and I was scheduled to sit next to the reality TV show family and share with them a little about Old Faithful. Teaching park visitors about Yellowstone is such a rewarding experience whether the visitors are your family or a reality TV show family! As we waited for Old Faithful to erupt I taught them about the Yellowstone Super volcano and how a geyser like Old Faithful works. Soon Old Faithful was erupting and simultaneously my family, Kate plus eight, and hundreds of other families watched as the iconic geyser blew- all of us in awe of the wonders of nature and the powerful force of the Yellowstone super volcano. Watching Old Faithful erupt immediately brings about all sorts of questions to the spectators mind. Happily, I answered a variety of questions about Old Faithful, and soon the reality TV show family smiled and politely thanked me for sharing my knowledge, before they headed off on their next adventure. As I returned to my family, my nephew proudly proclaimed : "Aunt Sabrina, I want to be a ranger like you and teach people about the park". It was the perfect ending to a fabulous day!

"Jon ruined the family" ADMIN that tweet was just over the top and so wrong. And for Kate to retweet it and gush OMG thank you or whatever the idiot said is just incredible. These fans don't care what she says, right or wrong, they are still there supporting this stupidity. I swear do they not have any sort of moral compass? This goody2 person is STILL slamming Jon on her tweets, along with others. It is so hard to believe that many are adults. Yet, if one person doesn't worship at her feet they jump on them like rabid dogs. Amazing people.

And yes the constant attacks to her on Twitter are just silly to me. They are creating sympathy for her, no one listens to anything they say. I just wish it would stop. Stop giving her that attention. It is helping her.

You know, with all this talk of Old Faithful, I remembered my sister. She visited Old Faithful a couple of years ago. It wasn't in the summer, so there were not many tourists there. She and a friend were waiting for it to "blow" with a few other couples when a group of about 5 people walked up. She looked and noticed it was Bill and Hilary Clinton with a ranger and a few others. They had come like any other visitor to see Old Faithful. He very nicely took pictures with those few who were there and after it blew, they went on their way. No big deal.

Actually SuperPattyPie is a grown woman perhaps even a grandmother. She was one of the early tweeters when Kate started her Twitter. Kate mainly tweets to a few of those early tweeters. SuperPattyPie has been blogging continuously on a Kate fan blog for a long time, and some question the I.Q.s of longtime bloggers as well. It's all the same just different venues. If blogging and tweeting were to suddenly stop before her next episode is shown Kate would really be rattled. I can dream can't I?

It occurred to me that if everyone refused to give reality shows featuring kids like this a permit until better protections were in place, these shows would be in a lot of trouble. The problem is this is such a niche area and the information is just not out there unless you seek it out, it's by no means a pressing national issue in most people's minds, that I don't see this ever happening.

NO we were not part of the radical group who dissed the troops in VN, that waa totally dispicable. We did try to end the war tho. it was much more of a movement at the time.

I'm going to jump in here, from my vacation - I might add, to say that hippies are alive and well. I will see many of them later today when I go into town. The town I mention is none other than Woodstock, NY, where my family lives. My dad has lived here for over 30 years and my step-mom has lived here for longer, originally living on a commune a few miles outside of town. The father of an ex-boyfriend was personal friends with Abbie Hoffman. My ex-bf remembers him coming to their house when he (the ex) was a child.
So later on I will be headed into town to buy tourist-y gifts to bring home to Canada - including 'real' tie-dyed shirts (none for me thank you - I was a punk rocker, not a hippie). And yes, I will see REAL hippies selling their wares and walking down the street. Not everyone, mind you, but enough to remind you what this place was all about.
Of course now it is typically tourist-y and as I teen when tourists would ask me where the festival was held, rather than tell them about Max Yasgur's farm I told them it was the parking lot behind them (ala Joni Mitchell) and watch the tourists get upset!
So in closing, hippies are alive and well! And Jenna - stay strong sister!!

As for khate, she can bite the big toe. I can't stand her, or her fans!!

Note to fans: These are people who don't know Kate, don't read the blogs, don't care about Kate and now that they have personally met her, something you have never done, they commented on what they observed.

Declaring "I took one for the team" "they attacked me, saving poor Kate from it" Come on, more people dislike this woman than like her, accept it and get over it. The attacks on people will NOT change minds, it only make Kate and her fans look absolutely nuts.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Her fans needs to understand Kate cannot insert herself into a situation and then expect everyone to fawn all over her and not have an opinion.

Kate did not have to get a Twitter account. She did not have to tweet about Yellowstone, and she certainly did not have to share personal information about the kids about how they thanked her. But she chose to, she chose to make a public statement about it, and anyone is free to have an opinion about that. The Yellowstone guy had a perfectly reasonable opinion about her making the Yellowstone trip all about her (I still get a kick out of how surprised he acted, obviously he hasn't followed Kate), and he stated it respectfully. If Kate doesn't want people commenting on her tweets, she doesn't have to make them. This is on Kate, not the Yellowstone person. Ranger Sabrina didn't say anything mean about Kate and we're not going on a rampage about her. All I saw were polite tweets thanking her for sharing. I am not counting the "fringe."

I hope the other sheeple consider this Goody crazy more like a "fringe" sheeple like we consider some of the non-fans on twitter fringe.

In a way her fans are very much like Kate, no one is allowed to have an opinion but them. Just like Kate not letting the kids know where they are going so she won't have to listen to other opinions.

PJ's momma said...

I think the Yellowstone Insider facebook page blocked anyone else from posting. I 'liked' them and then posted that of course they were schooled by Kate's fans, they run around the web, defending her, no matter what she does. It was removed, I was 'unliked' from the page, and no more posts were made after that. I reliked to see if I could post and they blocked me from posting. There are only 12 posts and you know it could have been many dozens. They don't want their page to turn into that debate and I totally understand that.

Right! That's part of being a celeb, is some people don't like you. Kathy Griffin has made her career out of poking fun of how she's upset people. It's not a big deal, it happens.

I read of a celeb recently, who is fairly well liked, made an off-color comment this celeb later apologized for. One of those, "did I just say that?" things, but it was picked up by all kinds of news sources. This celeb was blasted on the internet and was clearly mortified. I didn't see any of their loyal fans defending them to the death. If anything the fans said oh that's really not like them I'm disappointed. This stuff happens, it runs its course, and you don't have to go all apeshit on people for speaking their minds.

Instead she encourages it, which makes her look spineless.

Park ranger's blog said...

One of the more vocal Kate fans left a comment on the park ranger's blog. I'm pretty sure the park ranger must have been thinking that the fan is crazy.

The park ranger mentioned maybe two sentences about Kate Plus 8 and the rest was about her experience sharing her love of Yellowstone with her nephew. She barely mentioned Kate.

The Kate fan only commented on Kate Plus 8 and rambled on about how horrible the Yellowstone Insider was to Kate. Everything is always about Kate for them, even when it isn't.

She claims that now people won't visit Yellowstone because one writer wrote something negative about Kate.

Her comment:
It sounds as if you had a nice visit with Kate and the kids. I'm sure they all had fun & to learn about Old Faithful is sure better than reading it in a book if you can actually see it going off. Sounds like you were much nices than whoever writes & tweets for the Yellowstone Insider tweet & blog. That person was extremely rude about Kate & the kids visiting Yellowstone. Kate tweeted very complimentary about her visit there & he blasted her for tweeting she & the kids enjoyed the visit to the park. That's one person that would discourage people from visiting the park. Read his tweets & his blog & you'll even be shocked.

I don't get it. Kate's ratings for the travel shows were beyond dismal. There was an uptick in viewers for the "Slurring Cougar" episode. So in reponse, TLC sends them on yet another vacation even though America is clearly not watching those shows. Hopefully they are simply fulfilling travel maybe Kate mandated in the contract.

They are proud, I'm sure. I think you mentioned this before Admin or maybe it was someone else. The sheeple are treading into John Hinkley/Jodie Foster territory. This braintrust thinks they are winning Kate's favor and inching towards 'in real life' meetings with her by attacking those they percive to be attacking her. It cracks me up that they accused Werny of stalking for months, when all she did was pay her way into a corn maze and lawfully observe, once. I wonder how they define what they do?

You go, girl! Here's the ironic thing. The person who posted the criticism calls herself (or himself) Bluenoser, which, of course denotes one from Nova Scotia. However, the name also belongs to the US Army Air Force's 352nd Fighter Group, one of the most decorated combat groups during World War II.

Unless "Bluenoser" lived during this period, or was a member of this fighter squad, then he/she should be careful about calling someone else out for using a moniker associated with a particular group of people. Some might find it offensive to have another person identify herself/himself with a group of courageous soldiers who served our country so well during the Second World War.

I'm smiling because I am remembering my grandma used to call me "Hippie Dippie Doo" - lordy, my mom hated my hippie ways, but Granner was always supportive and one summer I stayed with her we both went braless to a peace rally. In the Ozarks - it was, well.... a San Francisco wannabe rally. But we had fun and thought we were doing a very patriotic thing.

Me, young and perky, as it were, but Granner, well, she sort of needed hers - bless her heart. I miss her old hippie self.........

And to reiterate what another poster said, I am one of the hippies who never used drugs. Unbelievable but true..... and in 1976, at the ripe old age of 26 I married an aerospace engineer who also had been a drug-free hippie, in an engineer kind of way - LOL (yeah, figure that mystery out! haha)

We thought of ourselves as free spirits and wanted to be married in a park, barefoot.

My mother put the kibosh on that one. "It just wasn't done", don't you know ... sigh

And as I sit here typing I am laughing because I (now) can't see how Mom would have enjoyed a barefoot wedding in her girdle.....

I surely did LOVE those bell bottom pants though...

Oh Hippie Chick, you've brought back some wonderful happy memories.... thank you! The 60s were unique and fun and very formative........

Sadly, I imagine that the 8 won't ever look back on fun mother-type memories.

And she wonders why she's so loathed????

I still feel it in my bones that someday soon her world she sold to TLC will come crashing down and karma will not only bite her in the ass, it will bite her ankles, her ears, her elbows, and her nose.

I disagree She is a cow. I don't think non-fans would bother her or the kids if they went somewhere on their own. We just want her to go away, to stop filming the kids and let them live their lives like normal kids without cameras in their faces every time they travel. It's the fans who might gawk and even try to approach them. It's common knowledge that it's the super fans that celebs generally have problems with and I don't think Kate would be any different

How about the Nehru jackets, white go-go boots, leather dog collars, "come to Jesus" sandals that laced up to the knees, lava lamps, VW Love buses, eight-tracks blaring "Good Vibrations" and men's light blue polyester leisure suits, resurrected years later by Uncle Eddie?

Ah, the good old days!

It's the fans said...

I agree. It's the fans that are the problem not the non-fans.

The non-fans are the ones that want the kids to have a normal life and the majority wouldn't dare approach them.

Kate, and probably even Jon, most likely can't take the children anywhere without fans ogling and harassing them and wanting to meet them and take pictures with them. All they talk about is how much they want to meet Kate. So many of them are just dying to interact with those children.

Kate continues putting her children out there in the public eye. She also dresses them all alike so they get attention as "sextuplets." She dresses herself to get attention. If Kate dressed in such a way that no one noticed her and didn't draw so much attention to herself and her sextuplets people might not even recognize them. You put Kate in some sunglasses, a ponytail and a baseball cap with a simple tee shirt and shorts and sensible shoes I don't think anyone will look twice at her. It may not be her fashion style but it's something she can do for the sake of her children. She can dress up cute or fashionable when she's alone.

If they waited in line at an amusement park or elsewhere maybe Jamie with a twin and three little ones and Kate with a twin and three little ones people might not realize who they are.

I've seen plenty of families with a lot of children between them and I don't give them a second look.

If people do realize who they are and they approach them I pretty positive it will be the fans and not the non-fans.

Even if they just want to give Kate a word of encouragement or support they are better off not doing it, so as to not draw attention to her and her children. Also, to not make the children feel they are under a microscope and can't go anywhere without someone recognizing them. The fans should understand they just want to go about their business and enjoy their activity.

If Kate really wanted to go out in public with her children without it being a big media event it could be done.

I also think there is a huge difference when someone takes pictures of/with the Gosselins if they are FILMING their show at the moment.

While I wouldn't do it myself, it is a film set and cameras and photographers are already present and they are already making a spectacle of the family. It's a business and that's just how it is. There are always onlookers when you film in a public setting.

Kate cannot complain she just wants to enjoy their activity incognito as a family if she is making a display of herself and her children with a full camera crew, production crew and bodyguards, etc.

I would applaud her if she actually took the kids somewhere on their own without cameras, and in that case, I don't think anyone would really bother with her.

When I posted earlier, I was posting with the thought that she would be followed by her camera crew and entourage, feeling entitled to cut in lines and get the BEST seats etc. Then I do believe non-fans may make some comments to her. I know I would be put off if my kids and I were waiting on a long line for something and her and her camera crew came sauntering up and cut in front of everyone. That is more what I was thinking when I posted that. That it would not just be Kate and the kids, but KATE+8 and crew wanting to be given the star treatment, because she believes they deserve it.

It would be refreshing to hear that she actually spent THE KIDS money and took them to a place that THEY would enjoy WITHOUT being filmed. It would also be refreshing to say good bye to her for good. I definitely only want to see her GO AWAY.

Just a word on Kate's challenge to meet her...and sorry for posting this on this discussion...if she really was nice in person, then that would mean the show is scripted. She sure is what everybody knows she is. Her sheeple should take that into consideration. But of course they wont. My opinion is that they may feel some kind of power and sense of belonging to her family if they protect her. Clue sheeple, she doesn't want family.
I love it when they tell everybody off and then run to Kate like little children. "Kate, so and so said this about you but I told them to leave you alone. You better be careful, but don't worry, I have your back. I wont let them hurt you. I'll beat them up if you want me too.
What scares me is,some crazed fan may take it upon them self to retaliate and when Kate isn't grateful, they will go after the kids or her. Just like show "The Fan".
I think it's getting close though. It only takes one to realize what is going on and then behind Kate's back they will inform each other as to what is really going on. And I'm beting it will be Cara. And you bet that when Mady realizes, the flood gates will be open. The river of bitterness will over flow.
How sad, I hope they sue TLC for manipulating Kate and Jon into doing this. I know Kate is greedy, but TLC kept dangling the carrot in front of their face.

I posted something similar to this over on the other thread, but since the discussion has continued here, I'll re-post. When Kate was on DWTS and the kids came out to LA to visit her, she took them to Disneyland. Reports were that the family was ushered to the head of the lines and were roundly booed by other visitors. I'm sure those were not fans, so it must have been non-fans who did the booing. I'm sure this didn't faze Kate, who demands and expects "stah" treatment, but it must have been unnerving for the kids. The little ones were only 5, so they might not have understood what it was all about, but the twins were certainly old enough to understand. My point is that I doubt Kate would ever be willing to be low-key and anonymous, regardless of where she's going. It always has to be an attention grab for her. If they had come and stood on line with everyone else, I doubt that any notice would have been taken. We're always commenting on Kate's insistence that she's stalked by paps and that she needs a bodyguard and a police escort, but Kate is the one who is always calling attention to herself and the kids. If she kept her mouth shut and just went about her business, no one would pay any attention to her or the kids. Sorry, I'm hot, soggy and tired, so I don't think I'm making much sense here, but I hope you get the idea!

Have to laugh at the "hippie" discussion. I was in college during the 60's. Never really a hippie, as such, but I did adopt some of the styles and the political and social activism. I loved those bell bottom pants, too!

For Kate being recognized while out with or without the kids is the whole point. I'm sure she considers it a bad trip if she isn't recognized at least once. Though she isn't recognized based on who she is, or even that she is surrounded by a pack of 8 kids dressed alike, it's because she is screaming or has a camera crew of 5.

Very form-fitting...

It was hell to use the restroom and try to re-snap in a tiny stall. My mom loved those for me because she said they couldn't ride up and show...... gasp.... skin!

Another thing I liked were the granny dresses. Looking back now, they WERE pretty awful, but boy were they comfortable with birkenstocks and ankle socks.

It's a generational thing - I'm sure kart's kids will look back when they are adults and laugh at what their 'mom' wore........

I forgot about those! They were bodysuits and if they didn't fit properly or were too tight, they'd unsnap on their own. You'd be sitting down and you'd hear this "pop, pop, pop!"

I hope Kate's kid can look back and laugh at her outfits because they certainly must be embarrassed right now.

When Prince William and Prince Harry were young,
their mother would take them to "normal kid" places so they could see how the British people
really live. They would stand in line at the public amusement park like everyone else. They would eat what everyone else ate, right off paper plates - with or without "proper sanitizing equipment." They went home to posh surroundings, but Diana tried her best to let them know that in no way, shape or form were they "better" than anyone else. I'm sure they have their moments when they like to pull rank,
but for the most part, I think they have a healthy respect for everyone. It will serve them both well throughout their lives.

I could say the same thing about several Royal houses of Europe - their children blend in with the rest of society quite beautifully, and if you didn't know that was a princess or prince,
well, you'd never know by the way they acted.

Allowing "special" children to feel superior to any human being is a terrible lesson to teach.

FYI,Hot Fun:
I was born in Halifax, have lived my entire life in Central Canada, but my heritage is important to me.
From Wikipedia:
"Bluenose was a Canadian fishing and racing schooner from Nova Scotia built in 1921. She was later commemorated by a replica Bluenose II built in 1963. A celebrated racing ship and hard-working fishing vessel, Bluenose became a provincial icon for Nova Scotia as well as important Canadian symbol in the 1930s. The name "Bluenose" originated as a nickname for Nova Scotians from as early as the late 18th century."
So as you can see, the name Bluenosers has been associated with us Nova Scotians since the 1700s, and we are certainly not appropriating a name from a WW2 USAF group, no matter how courageous they may have been.
Let's have some of that good ol' hippie peace and joy, people! None of it matters much now...it's all history!

I never wore the hip hugger pants. My hips have always been disproportionally larger than my waist, so they didn't work well on me. I had a pair of jeans I absolutely loved, though. They were bell bottomed, and had phrases from Lord of the Rings written all over them. Funny story - at least from my current vantage point. I had very long, very straight hair as a teenager/young adult. I came home from college for Christmas and went to church with my Mom and Dad. I had a red and green tartan, pleated wool skirt that just happened to be ankle length, but nothing hippieish about it. It was a dress skirt. I wore that with a red sweater. A couple of the Elders in the church were very disconcerted and asked my parents how they could "allow" me to become a hippie. One even suggested that my Dad should no longer direct the youth choir and my Mom shouldn't be director of Junior Church any longer since it was their fault I was a hippie. They about had a fit! It eventually blew over but I became very disillusioned about that church. Most of those people had known me since I was an infant.

To keep this more or less on the topic of Kate & the kids - I agree that it's a very bad idea to allow children to think that they are somehow "better than" anyone else or are entitled to privileges that they haven't earned. These are the kids who grow up to become entitled adults who feel the world owes them something just for existing.

&&&&&&&&&

So far they haven't done that much driving and should have plenty of time for sight seeing and relaxation IF mommy dearest allows it. The only problem with the places they're visiting is that there isn't much for young kids to "do" once they're there. As was discussed on the other threads, you see Mt. Rushmore and their giftshop and that's about it. Yellowstone is beautiful and educational, but there aren't many "activities" for young kids. I don't want anyone to think I'm implying these places are boring because that's not the case at all. I could spend weeks there and never be bored, but young kids have different interests and needs than adolescents, teens and adults and I hope they're being entertained and having a good time.

So far it adds up to approx. 600 miles in the 8 days since they were spotted on the plane from Chicago to Rapid City, SD.

From the tweets Kate has sent and various twitter and facebook posts by various individuals they've stopped here:

7/11 Rapid City, SD airport
7/12 Mt. Rushmore in Keystone, SD
7/14-16 Yellowstone Park in Cody, WY
7/17 Jacksonhole, WY

From Rapid City to Rushmore in Keystone, SD it's only 20 miles.

Mt. Rushmore in Keystone, SD to Cody, WY is 415 miles and drive time is 7 hours.

Cody, WY to Yellowstone East Entrance is short depending on where they stayed overnight. The drive through Yellowstone is 70 miles if they didn't deviate from a direct route through the park. Add 34 miles RT to see Old Faithful.

South Yellowstone exit to Jackson Hole, WY is 60 miles with a 90 minute drive.

It's anyone's guess where they'll go next. Grand Teton Natl Park is 30 miles from their last stop in Jackson Hole. Salt Lake City is on the way IF they go to the Grand Canyon as someone wondered, but that is a longggg 12 hour trip from Jackson Hole and I hope the kids aren't subjected to that one.

They've been on the road for about 9 days and it's time they head home. Young or old, road trips can be very tiring and when you add in the stress of cameras in their faces every day with retakes and forced scenes, I can only imagine the exhaustion they're feeling.

And now back to something completely different said...

I sure hope Jon gets extra time with the kids to make up for the time he's missed so far. That's at least 2 times that Kate's interferred with his custody so far this year, just for the sake of filming. I sure wish Jon could find a judge who could see through Kate's nonsense and haul her back. That's a "reality" I'd love to see her experience!

Some whose family members who were with the fighter group might take offense at others using a name that would be identified with them when, in fact, those using the name had nothing to do with the combat unit. She seemed to be miffed because Hippie Chick was using that name and identifies herself with that group when she isn't part of the "true" Hippie generation. I wonder how long Kate has known about this trip and if this was the reason the kids couldn't go to summer camp (which Kate would have to pay for out of her own pocket). Hey everyone! Just got back from my vacay to NYC and it sure looks like a lot has happened! Incidentally, I took a couple of days to visit my brother and his family in "Gosselin country" (he lives in Hershey) and my goodness is it ever "georgos" out there!

I just wanted to add my two cents to this hippie debate. I don't know about Nova Scotia, but out here is San Francisco, where I live, the hippies are alive and well. In fact I lived in Sonoma County during High School and many of my friends parents are still hippies! And guess what? I'm 25, so no, I don't need to be 50 to know who a group of people are, sheesh. And they aren't some exotic breed that migrated through town like Bluenoser described - I actually know a fair amount of hippies my own age.

In any case, we love you here Hippie Chick! Keep on posting!

I LOVE the boho clothes. All I wear are skirts & dresses all summer & in the winter it's scarves & knit hats & funky sweaters & salvation army finds. Oh, & I can't forget my big jewelry! It IS super fun shopping in my closet, but it IS about my state of mind & being kind & thoughtful & peaceful & one with nature. I have no idea why that poster went off, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's why I love coming here!

I love the fact that we all make up the world as different people; I'm a free-spirit, my husband is more of a straight-shooter, I have a friend who is a jock, I have a few gay friends, one is a theater junkie, one is into sports, one loves hiking. I love music...EVERYONE is different & THAT is what makes this World such a great place. Ignorance SUCKS & I cannot stand that. Don't get down on someone, especially if you don't know them. Yep, we rag on Kate, but she put her whole life out there for all of us to see & read about. This poster who is ragging on hippies doesn't know me personally. I don't do drugs, I don't even drink for crying out loud! And if you do, so what?? I won't judge you for that.

I would NEVER judge someone else before knowing who they were or are as a person, as long as you are kind to others & are respectful, etc. (Just don't exploit your kids, dammit) But that's just me!

Boy was I right. Sheeple mentality, IGNORE EVERYTHING that people say about Kate and zero in on the small details. Seems the the sheeple think you are stalking your buddy. Ha Ha. I guess when you have nothing to support Kates notariety, you look to destroy others.

I texted my BFF, she replied a few hours later and said Kate wasn't there and gave an lol about her state being invaded by her. It was funny. Thats all she could say when asked why she likes it and what she wants to do. 7 years old and couldnt form a cohesive sentence,, sound familiar? Her mom tried VERY HARD to not sound like the kid was doing this for MOM. The mom could barely keep a straight face when saying they were not exploiting her and she liked doing it. So sad.

Excuse me Work Both ways, but if you actually read here, we have been EXTREMELY VOCAL that the non-fans on twitter should STOP.

So yes, it does work both freaking ways.

Here's a post from this very thread today from No Regrets as just one of the many examples of people here who do NOT think the non-fans should harass anyone on twatter:
"And yes the constant attacks to her on Twitter are just silly to me. They are creating sympathy for her, no one listens to anything they say. I just wish it would stop."

Kelly, huge difference between blogging and twittering. Huge. I don't have to go to sheeple blogs if I don't want to hear the crap they say about us, and the tweeple don't have to come here. Many people, in fact I'd venture to say the vast majority, just don't visit blogs they don't like. But when someone tweets me directly I have to see it. Sure I can block them after, but I've already seen the hurtful/harassing/nasty tweet--it's too late. Maybe I'm strange but I don't like reading that kind of thing, I don't. It makes my stomach hurt. Yes Kate has to deal with it all the time but she chose to be famous and this is what comes with the territory and some people secretly feed off all attention even negative as I suspect Kate does. This is why people like me would never choose to be famous, we don't LIKE this crap and negative attention just causes stomach aches it's not food for egos. Twitter allows people to flame each other directly with no way to get away from it. I don't like that kind of behavior, even toward Kate, and quite frankly I've stayed away from tweeting ANYTHING lately because of it for fear the tiniest little misstep will get me flamed. This blog has never, ever tried to contact Kate directly and never will. If Kate is interested, she can come here. But the key is that it is her choice, and not thrown upon her against her will.

I don't support what people are doing on twitter, many people here have said the same thing, I don't want this blog associated with that, but I'm not going to start a war over this--the tone of this blog has been rather negative the past day or so and I don't like it. Please move on.

Neither do I, and I've said it over and over again. The non-fans are just as hateful as the fans and they seem to just egg the sheeple on - for what? To keep them relevant? To keep Kate relevant? It's so juvenile - it sounds like junior high.

Admin, there is a world of difference between blogging and tweeting. There is so much hatred on both sides on twitter, so much name-calling, nicknames for people, rude, obnoxious remarks, nasty language, and downright disrespect. Of course, there are blogs in which this also goes on, but not here. The people here are respectful and intelligent, and if someone goes off on a tangent, they are called out on it because bloggers here just don't behave that way and don't have time for it. Not so on twitter.

Some of those who tweet, both fans and non-fans, don't behave like adults, but rather like silly, bullying kids. Not everyone, though, is like that. It baffles me why they can't step back, take a look at their tweets and how this must sound to a lurker who is reading this stuff for the first time. These are parents and grandparents and this is the example they are setting for their children? Is there anyone here who can imagine their own parents engaging in such immature verbal nonsense? There's no intelligent discussion - just bantering back and forth about who uses what identity, who needs Depends, who needs to crawl back into a cage, etc. etc.

It was entertaining to a point, but I stopped reading the tweets. The sheeple need those non-Kate fans for survival, but the non-Kate fans just don't get it. It's kind of a mutual symbiosis. Enough said.

If the examples I've seen on here and a few other sites are consistent with most of what appears there, everyone should be ashamed of themselves. The anti faction is worse than the Sheeple. Oops, Admin., looks like someone is back on twitter and is "pissed" being censored here - it's like "talking to a glass of water."
Whatever floats the boat, I guess!

One thing I do notice here is that there is little or no crude language or use of four-letter words. I don't know if you edit those things out, give warnings about such language, or if bloggers here simply know that points can be made just as effectively without dropping the f-bomb or giving the verbal finger!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

As someone else put it so well, the twittering was fun in the beginning, for a week or two. Now it's like watching a kid play that Simon game over and over and over and over. Not fun anymore, you just want to throw it out the window.

This site has taken flak for a few people who do that who have posted here and I've been so patient with it. While I don't agree that just because someone posts here this site "supports" them, the fact is that's how some people interpret it. If I invite someone into my home I don't have to agree with their politics or religion or anything as long as they follow my house rules, others do not see it that way. I have barely said anything about this issue, I have been so tolerant, I've let it go so many times and I feel I give posters a tremendous amount of freedom and don't tell others what to do and the blog mostly self-moderates (thank you), but I'm tired of it now.

If you harass Kate or her fans on twitter, you're not welcome here. You're not being censored as you have plenty of space to speak your mind on twitter, or you can start your own blog, which is really simple. I do not want this site caught up in that kind of behavior if only by association.

All that said, the vast majority if you give me zero problems 100% of the time and I so appreciate it. It makes this blog fun, 99% of the time. I guess that 1% not fun day is today.

I don't get all the hostility. I like Kelly and have always enjoyed his posts here but some of the twittering has made me uncomfortable. I wish Kate had never joined Twitter. She may have some fans, and she may have some really NASTY and immature fans, (and I don't get how she can even have *a* fan) but what good does it do to go after them the way sheeple go after haterz? I look at twazzup once in a while and sometimes I feel bad when some fan of Kate's discovers she tweets and sends an innocent tweet to or about her and they just get flamed over and over and over like they have committed some first degree felonious act. For what? I don't see her the way they do, but why go after them like that? If I said something in innocence and someone anonymously treated me that way, I'd probably crap my pants or vomit. It's sort of my own nature to get frontal, but I resist the temptation most of the time, thinking how I'd react to it. It's not worth it. Even blogging keeps Kate relevant, but that twitter thing is out of control. And no, tweeties, I don't think anyone here is complaining that you're stealing the blog's traffic. Tweet away. I think everyone can agree the whole K+8 situation is terribly sad.

One thing that popped into my head is this: the kids are having to deal with a witch of a mom right now, and true these years are very formative.........

But my memories of my teens and 20s are so strong and good that I can hope they enjoy a good life when they leave home, and can look back on their 20s when they are 50-60.

I hope they can have good memories of those first years of independence too.

My intentions were to post here tonight to defend one of my favorite posters, Hippie Chick, over the comments made by Bluenoser about hippies. However, this has been done so much better by others, it's probably wiser if I just let it go. It has been pleasant, though, to reminisce about those times (hip-hugger bell-bottoms, granny dresses and glasses, fringed leather, incense, frustrating my dad with anti-war views, body shirts with crotch snaps, devouring copies of the Berkeley Tribe sent to my by my California cousin that I adored, etc). What a nice trip down memory lane. Thanks all!

I am not sure what all this twitter mess is about (the only twitters I have ever read are the ones in the box at the top of this blog). At this time in my life, I am just not up to learning a new dumbed-down language (twittlish???) just to spend an inordinate amount of time to keep up with inane postings. No one seems to recognize all the time spent on twitter nonsense is never returned to you. I am sure it has some communication relevance; I just don't need it (voice mail, email, texting, facebook, internet and plain old phone conversations are sufficient for me....but I am a mature, not young, lady).

Admin, you come across as a lovely, thoughtful person and please know that I truly appreciate all your efforts to keep this blog high-end (and also the majority of the posters). Thanks for tying to keep a separation between this blog and whatever twittering nonsense is occurring.

Peace and love to all (even the sheeple who visit here)!

Hard to say goodbye said...

I whole heartedly disagree with the vitriol and attacks that take place on Twitter between tweeters, but I think that "some" of their tweets to Kate are relevant and important and I just wanted to express my feelings about non-fans not being allowed to post here because they also post on Twitter.

Admin, I respect your rules and rights as blog owner, but I hope that we can agree to disagree about this subject. I have no guess as to the content of Kelly's comment to the blog since he's previously been respectful and followed the rules, but I agree with him that it should have been posted since you were directly replying to him. He's been a long time friend and poster on this blog and it's hard to learn that a friend is no longer welcome.

I also don't agree that because a non-fan posts on Twitter that they're not welcome here. There are a number of non-fans who post on Twitter and post here, but they do so without divulging their identities; Kelly is simply honest about his identity where they aren't.

I'm sad that you chose to take this strict stance and I'm sad that because of the unwelcoming atmosphere here now that I don't feel that I can any longer participate.

It's very hard to say goodbye to long time friends (I was one of the first commenters on this blog). I wish you all well and much success and hope that you can understand how and why I and others feel this is no longer the place to be.

Admin,
With all respect in the world for all you do to maintain this (wonderful) blog, may I suggest you remove Kate's tweets at the opening page here? For one thing, I would not have had any idea about Twitter at all were it not for her postings here, and I think if you do not condone Twitter-bashing or cyber-bullying (which is commendable), then removing the tweets might help to remove the temptation (or at least make it harder).

Not to rehash but ADMIN THANK YOU for taking a stand about the twitter mess. PJ's momma Your post is exactly how I feel too.

One thing I would like to say is this, ADMIN has always allowed opposing views. We don't always agree with each other on here. LOL Just how it is presented might be a problem. We can disagree with politeness and respect. You certainly don't have to attack anyone to differ.

Upthread someone posted that Kate doesn't like crowds because someone who doesn't like her may verbally attack her. I really don't think that is much of a problem with her. Even on the show, the ones who shout out things to her, which she does NOT like are the fans. I have never seen or heard of any non fans bothering them. The Disney incident, where they were booed, was unfortunate that the kids heard that too. BUT as one article I read said that many people had stood in line for HOURS and then to see a huge group being let in ahead of them, was too much for some to take. The article went on to say many A listers actually stand in line at amusement parks and have refused to be let ahead of the crowd. I don't remember who all they named, but many real stars don't demand the special treatment, nor except it.

While it is true that she has several kids, other people's kids are just as important, IMO.

At one time, he had almost 90K and he "cleaned house" because so many of Kate's fans were following and would go "bizerk" about the least little thing he would say. Attacking him for saying " I had the kids this weekend" AFTER they had stayed with him. Saying it was private and he shouldn't have said it. LOL Yet Kate blabbed the same stuff BEFORE she was going to do something with the kids, or while she was out with them. Yet, THAT is ok with them. Hard to figure out that mind set. LOL

I have a Headlines near me. They are the BEST store EVER! Great for hippies!! They are online & their incense in the best! My favorite is "Sky Flower" & "Space". Of course you can't go wrong with "Patchouli" & "Sandalwood", but for something different, try those other scents. Also, if you want your house to smell pretty, boil some water on you stove, cut some lemon peels & throw them in & turn the water down & let simmer. If you don't like lemon, try fresh sage, or an essential oil. A favorite of yours will do the trick! Just a few drops in the water will work just fine!

I do this in the winter time to make my house smell like a garden instead of lighting incense in front of my son all the time. I LOVE the lemon peels though, cheap & easy & SMELL SO GOOD! Lavender oil is awesome as well! Have fun with your new scents!!

You know I am glad the kids get to see things and go places that most kids would never have a chance to do.(Just do it without the freakin cameras.) No, I am "jealous" of anything they do, as the silly high schoolers always claim we are. As I have said before, they seem to think since they apparently don't travel or have huge homes that no one else does, except Kate. Most seem to think that material things are the only important things in life, which is sad in itself.

The problem is that most of this traveling has been to fulfil KATE's bucket list. That is all she talks about, HER bucket list. Plus the vast majority of these trips, have been while the kids are too young to even remember nor appreciate where they have been. The twins will probably remember the most. I would be willing to bet if the tups were asked today what they remember the most, we would hear "The horses pooped!" or "we threw eggs" "Mommy broke down and cried like a baby at the Skywalk" LOL Gawd I still can't get over her ridiculous actions! They really can't appreciate much of what they have seen or done. THAT to me is the sad part. Just another "episode" in their little lives. But Kate will never get that. Never. Nor will her fans.

No Regrets said...

If she would take those kids off the tv now, in a few short months/years the public would forget, as we all know and have seen with other 'celebrities". Plus the kids would grow and change physically, the public probably wouldn't even recognize them. Then they can enjoy their teen years like normal kids. The mall, the dances, parties, dating .. all the things that we all enjoyed. Without the fear of being approached and harassed by fans. Kate nor the fans don't seem to even consider this. It is all about money, money and more money. Sure they will have plenty of money, but can they really enjoy life? What will these kids miss out on in the future? It's all Kates fault. That idiot has not been tweeting enough. The Sheeple/fans/non-fans and anyone else that twitters they are eating their young, being frantic panic and having cows. Kate to them is a addiction, just like for some of us coming to this blog is an addiction, that by the way we can come & go, without having a cow. The fact is that Kate does not give a shit about them, and they are so obsessed with Kate, they get into fights about Kate. And yes, if these people have families, that is where they should be with, not worrying about Kate Gosselin, who cares less about them. One sheeple was so worried about Kate going and having a wonderful vacation, and then said that they can not afford to go anywhere, but hoped Kate had a wonderful time, and can't wait to see their trip. Why would anyone with a brain, care about someone else having a good time on a trip, when they can't even go on one? My reaction is, so go on your trip, good travels, tell me about it when you get back and that is that. These people live through Kate, instead of taking their own kids on a trip, they wait to see Kate enjoying, rubbing it into their faces, of see I can go on a trip, but you can not afford to, you stay home and idolize me and watch my twitter account while I have a good time and maybe I'll through you a bone. And the stupid media on the net keep digging up about Twisted Kate. They take an old article and try to make it new. They mention Eileen she is not the top person at TLC anymore, she has move to another job. This is how one can tell they don't do their homework. I read Kate's tweets, cause then I know what and where she is(it helps to know, which rumor is true or not)you will know if she is in NYC or not. So all this crap on twitter, the fans fighting, non-fan etc, and Kate laughing all the way to the bank.

"so sick of her said... So all this crap on twitter, the fans fighting, non-fan etc, and Kate laughing all the way to the bank."

What gets me is the fans fighting with the nonfans and sending all those tweets TO Kate. LOL I guess they want a medal or something. If they TRULY cared about her, they wouldn't want her to see all the nasty stuff. Why do it? It is funny to me. Sad but funny at the same time.

And ONE thing I would like to say about what is being said....NO we do NOT say the same things on this blog as being said on Twitter. We do NOT post homophobic, racist posts nor wish death on anyone. We do curse people out. Yes, some things that are said ARE relevant, however they are NOT listening. It doesn't matter what is said. And just how many times can you say the same thing? Over and over and for weeks on end? Hour after hour, geeez never saw folks who had so much on their hands both non fans and fans. Amazing. I am sorry if people don't understand how many of us feel. I really am.

I thank you too, for taking a stand on this.

It's been my experience in the three years I've been following the Gosselin saga, that we cannot change the mind of a sheeple. They have to change their own minds. They reach a point (and many, many of them have) where Kate and her behavior as shown by TLC on her own show, is simply undefendable. Some finally get it after they can no longer dismiss the fact that Kate has no contact with family and for years & years, has rarely has a cordial interaction with other individuals. They can't argue with facts and can't continue to blame us for everything. Kate was the only cast member not invited to the DWTS reunion of her season. That's a fact as reported by many news outlets, not a story invented by jellus haterz.

Then there are the hard core group of sheeples who swoon over her every move and think it's awesome that she put her kids to work and lives in a big house with a cee-ment pond. Kate can do no wrong and there's no changing their minds. Cyber bullying is a terrible problem for teens and pre-teens these days, the adults in the room should know better, be a role model and be part of solving the problem, not adding to it.

No Regrets, you bring to mind the thing that made me uncomfortable about the jackals going after each other on Twitter (and yes, it is interesting that her fans send it all to Kate too, instead of protecting her, like they want her to know they're defending her honor). There was some back and forth and someone was told to take a break and go wipe the semen from the corner of their mouth. It was a non-fan. I was like, "Whoa." It had been sort of fun to observe that from time to time, but that cured me.

&&&&&&&&&&
Wayward I've come to believe this too which is why I haven't been to a sheeple site in years, nor do I really engage with arguing with her fans. I really saw this after the Alaska episode when, even though we've tried to tell them over and over, a herd of tweeple fell off the cliff like rocks. It wasn't anything we said, it was Kate's own behavior. Like most things, Kate will do it to herself. She will estrange her own fans herself and there's not much we can do to push it along. We certainly had nothing to do with how rude Kate was to Sarah Palin. Absolutely nothing.

Kate estranges her family and friends herself, Kate estranges her children herself, Kate alienates Jon herself, and Kate loses fans herself. It's all on Kate.

You are very right about this. People are starting to sue, which they should.

"Some finally get it after they can no longer dismiss the fact that Kate has no contact with family and for years & years, has rarely has a cordial interaction with other individuals. They can't argue with facts and can't continue to blame us for everything"

You are right some fans have become non fans after seeing her nasty behavior. But I have seen a few fans who claim she does have contact with her parents. BUT they say "the parents/family don't want to be on TV". IF this were truly the case, why have a FB page declaring you are her relatives, complete with their own pictures posted, yet they don't want to appear on TV? that doesn't even make sense. They email, which Kate has said herself, but to mingle and get together as a family on holidays? No, they don't. Kate is either alone (her own admission) or her guests are Steve and his kids. Or as at the birthday party most of the guests were parents of the kids invited. Why not the parents of Kate's? Her sister? Something is very wrong with people who have NO relationship at all with their family. That is simple fact. Something is very wrong with that family dynamic. Either the parents are truly messed up, or Kate, or both. I couldn't imagine not having my Grandkids in my life, NOR my kids. And many of the die hard fans have gotten angry AT some of the people SHE has dissed on the show. The very people SHE was rude to. That doesnt make sense either. Thus the sheeple term. I hate the word, but it surely fits in a lot of cases.

I had to laugh when Betty White made the comment that, back in her day, looking at other people's vacation photos was considered punishment. Speaking of the delightful old gal, did you see where a young marine asked her to be his date at the Marine Corps Ball? She had to decline, even though she loves a man uniform, because she'll be filming Hot In Cleveland.

Seems to me that if Kate didn't have the kids on July Fourth she could at least go over to her parents' house. She didn't. She stayed home and twitter-twattered all day with strangers.

I agree No Regrets I'm not buying the "they just don't want to be on TV thing." Both Kate and Jon have said more than once Kate's parents on not in their lives, both of them have the same story and this has never changed. I love how everything else Kate says is gospel, except for this. Her fans are convinced her mother is around and everything is lovely. So, Kate is lying?

There is an interview with Jon from I believe Utah where he makes it crystal clear the grandparents just never really got involved with the kids. He never said a thing about them not wanting to be on TV. Just that they aren't involved. He seemed a bit baffled by this, as I think any parent would.

Seems to me if someone didn't want to be on TV, then why wouldn't you just say that and leave it at that? They don't want to be filmed, end of story. And there have been at minimum a dozen opportunities that have been caught by paps where the grandparents could be there--Thanksgiving, Easter, birthdays. And ....they're....NOT.

However if that was Kate's real mom bashing Jodi and so on, I don't blame Kate one bit on this one for not having them around. They raised a very toxic daughter and it's entirely possible they have issues themselves. Plus, Kate told her therapist she didn't want to talk about her childhood, suggesting there is some history there.

No Regrets said...

ADMIN I still can't get over her mom posting on that blog talking about her own son and DIL. AND Jon. That told me a whole lot about her and Kate. I agree, I can also see WHY Kate would want to stay away and keep her kids away from that. But Kate has developed the SAME toxic behavior. The blog owners insist it was her mom. Yet, stil defend her posting there. That is remarkable they would support that. Really incredible. Had she said something negative about Kate herself, she wouldn't have been welcomed at all. LOL

Midnight Madness said...

If the Tweeters are commenting that admin here censors comments and only posts what she agrees with, they should visit the "other" anti-gosselin site. Postings have dropped considerably, to one free discussion thread per month. I couldn't figure out what was going on, and last night I read some questions/comments on Jon's job and custody issues, obviously asked by someone who was not a regular poster, and the mod's response was that, in essence, that issue has been discussed before, was old, and posters should move on, and such comments would not appear.

Well, heck...no wonder why the number of comments have dropped, if simple, valid questions are deleted because the issue has been brought up before. I guess in order to post, one has to be a regular and know what topics have been discussed before and avoid bringing up such topics. Then they wonder traffic is slow on the blog. It's not because there are no new episodes, or Kate's not doing anything, but because comments on topics that have been discussed aren't allowed to go through.

Even "oh, yes, she does" has been very quiet!

Well. I go away for a few days and come back to internal drama!

Admin, I for one humbly support your stance on the Tweeter business, as your fine blog has fast become 'board on board'. Because Kate's ability to abuse and humiliate her children and their father on TV has been crippled, twits are bored, and their frustrated antics to entertain themselves has infected this site.

One of the main topics here, it seems, has been to discuss Twitter! I second the motion that the tweets are not necessary on the top of your page.

Many assume that Kart will give up the twitting in a few months when the children's show is cancelled, but she wont; it will be her ONLY link to the outside, until she figures a way to act out in public and re-establish an actual pap following again.

I fear for the kids at that point, Kart knows the only thing folks will bother to read is about increased abuse of the children. (ie lifting Leah's dress to hit her.) So she will set it all up, in order to get back in the media. THEN will come the talk show tours of how misunderstood she is and how the paps have taken "milk from the mouths of her children" by portraying her in a poor light. Again.

As far as Kate not telling the kids where they were: She just didnt want discussion, she didnt want to answer questions because she is lazy and uneducated, and besides that it doesnt matter. The kids are just to show up and perform, anything else gets that hand-flap as she dismisses their very existance. "shoo, flies, shoo, I am much too busy and exhausted (and exhausted and busy) to pretend to be your mother this decade."

Someone here once said that Kate assumes the kids will raise themselves; all she has to do is make sure someone feeds, waters, and naps them; all she has to do is scream at them. This is an example of that! She will make sure there are camera crews in their faces so she can make money, but they are on their own now to get "cultured". She did her part - she begged for the trip - her job is done.

Hippie Chick - walk your own path, friend, here on this rock of our Mother Earth. I'm sorry I wasnt around this weekend to support you.

Non-involvement seems to be what Kate is modelling for her children, perhaps as a result of her experience as a member of this family.

As was posted on another anti Kate blog some time back, the small number of bloggers has no impact on how many viewers do or don’t watch K+8. That definitely goes for the tweeters since there are far fewer of them than bloggers.

What keeps Kate relevant is TLC at this point, filming Kate and entourage going on a road trip probably by RV. I have a feeling this road trip will increase ratings. The trip might be stretched into 2 or 3 episodes with all the possible filming opportunities: Kate stressing about a messy RV, Kate stressing about a noisy RV, Kate stressing about a cramped RV, Kate and Jamie traveling in a luxury SUV while the dozen others travel in RV. Kate calling Old Faithful “big shooting waterish thingy.” I can see the promos now. Whether TLC can get those 2 million or so lost viewers back is questionable. And we don’t know if TLC is ready to let their other shows carry a below million ratings show which Kate+8 will end up being. Blogging and tweeting aren’t going to make her or break her.

On the hippie topic I grew up during the hippie era, went to work and got married and had a baby. I loved the styles, bell bottoms, embroidered blouses and had very long, straight hair parted down the middle and owned all the albums, loved the music. I didn’t agree with the kids protesting the “establishment” while their parents were paying for their college educations however, probably because I was working in the real world and maturing more quickly. I watched the war on the evening news and was sickened by it but didn’t spit at the soldiers who were lucky enough to live through it and make it home.

I don't understand why bloggers say that Kate's parents aren't involved with their grandchildren. They took care of Mady and Cara for many weeks when Kate was in the hospital before the tups were born. I always thought the statement that they weren't involved with any grandchildren was given to avoid talking about a problem that existed between them and just Kate and Jon.

Does Kate know that her tweeting has established what amounts to a chat room, a place for an antagonistic war of words between haters and fans? Can she read everything that is going on, or does she see only those tweets from those who gush over her? I don't understand exactly how that works.

Can the country ever forget John Filo's Pulitzer Prize winning photo of the girl kneeling over the body of the bleeding student at the May 4, 1970 Vietnam protest demonstration at Kent State? The shooting prompted rock groups, even a California surfing group, The Beach Boys ("Student Demonstration Time") to write about the anti-war movement.

The operative word for any relationship that K's parents have with the children is "were", as in past tense. Yes, they may have looked after Cara and Maddy while she-witch was hospitalized but folks, that was over 7 years ago. Think that is all in the past.

And yes, I see that while they are having a blast, her cleanliness and organizational standards are being "challenged". What a lot of phooey - want to take a guess how many tantrums that translates into, and I don't mean by the kids. Another entitled vacation, tho sans any interest by the media, that must rankle her. And while this may actually be more appropriate in the gimmee, gimmee bag, by the time this may or may not air, who really gives a rat's a*&?
Yellowstone for Halloween? This show is so far removed from giving America a look at the real life of HOMs (and yet the Duggars still manage to do this and not be media ho's), it is just travel, travel, bad moods, more shopping, more whining, travel, and back to same. I hardly think the ratings will go up significantly, but what do I know, I was surprised that TLC is spending any money this summer on a Gosselin vacation. Honestly, wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall at some of the TLC meetings about this show?

Mel said...

Kate’s crowd reaction – there’s something going on there, IMHO, that is the manifestation of her psychological problems.

Watch how she instantaneously goes nuts in crowds. It’s usually nothing to do with that the crowd is doing.

Often they’re not even paying attention to the Gosselins until she starts screeching.

And then some will turn to see what the racket is about, and notice the cameras and boom mikes, and all the kids (dressed alike), and THEN they start to pay attention to the Gosselins as a group.

In the meantime, Kate has gone into a full-blown frenzy that ‘THEY’RE STARING AT US!!!!!!!. Omg!!!! Make them stop!’

It’s like she’s gone into a panic attack. She clearly can't even control her reaction.

She’s a control freak - when out in crowds, she can’t control every single aspect of what is happening.
She has very low tolerance for frustration and a complete inability to control the discharge of her frustrated feelings.
She has to have her way, and if she doesn’t, she acts up until she gets it.
She over-responds to stimuli – out in crowds is far too much stimuli for her brain and it short-circuits.
She has a constant need for attention, but only when she can control every aspect of how/when it happens.
She thinks that they’re special and should only associate with other special people, not the low-life commoners.
A huge sense of entitlement, that they deserve better treatment than others.

If they’re out in crowds, and not isolated for filming, she can’t hide just how much this is scripted, and just exactly how many re-takes there are. She can’t hide that this isn’t the realest of reality.

This, however, I think is the biggest one:
She, and only she, will decide what the kids think, how they dress, who they talk to, what they eat.

Out in a crowd, she can’t control all that.

The kids must feel like birds in a golden cage. Out for display. Never allowed out of the golden cage. They can only behave in certain ways. They must follow strict (and unreasonable) rules. No thinking allowed.

Poor little guys. They’ll never be allowed to fly free, to play with the trees, or dance with the sun.

h8k8 - You're right, Kate's parents took care of Mady and Cara before the tups were born, but Kate herself said on one of the early shows that they were no longer involved because "they don't know how to help us". Jon's father apparently doted on the twins but died either shortly before or shortly after the tups were born. Jon's mother is involved at least somewhat, because on the episode where Jon took the kids on a hike and fishing, Mady opted to spend the time with her Grandmother G. instead. That was back in the days when Jon was actually allowed to be with his kids more and to come to the house. So either way,the kids don't get a lot of grandparenting, but some is better than nothing.

During the late 60's I was in college, so I didn't get involved much with the "hippie" era, other than adopting some of the garb and the political/social activism. I never protested the war - in fact, I was engaged to a Marine who was fighting in Viet Nam, but I did take part in several voter registration drives in the South, and was an active political campaigner. I was in college (in Ohio) when the Kent State massacre happened, and my best friend from high school was a student at Kent State at the time. Very tense and scary times. Security was beefed up on our campus, but nothing happened, except for a couple of candlelight memorial services and a special Chapel prayer service.

Because Jon is the one currently NOT living in the McMansion, the one paying exorbitant child support, with little to no visitation, and his children being filmed even though he is against it. This isn't about the original TLC contract. It's about every legal, financial, and even public relations deals that have happened since, all of which seemed to have hurt Jon. And the kids of course.

If she really even sanitizes like a fiend, it might just be part of the act.

Gosh, admin, you must have really gotten that poster riled up last night when you wouldn't publish his posts. Not only is that person back on Twitter, but also on another blog, venting about you. It's amusing how some announce that they are leaving Twitter, go to other blogs, leave those blogs, hop back on Twitter, then to other blogs that they previously said they were leaving (not necessarily in that order!). And they say women can't make up their minds!

-----------------------------------------------

Wouldn't you be riled up if you were a longtime poster who was publically banned? I see how it is around here; Kelly was a popular poster here that may not have been liked by all, but was liked by many. Now that Admin has banned him he's being raked over the coals. For shame.

I'm done at this blog.

It is SO weird you guys are talking about cyber-bullying here. I talked about that in my blog post today. I had NO idea that was discussed here at all. It deserves attention. The names people call others behind their computer screens, it's pathetic. Say it to my face, YO! :)

I also really felt badly for Jason Kate's hairdresser. He was attacked with some vile homophobic tweets. Ok he likes Kate, it is NOT ok to attack a person for their lifestyle, because of that. Just really disheartening to see attacks like that from someone who I had once respected for their opinions.
----------------------------
Kate's hairstylist got attacked because he likes Kate? Who attacked him? Now, this is where it gets truly ridiculous. The insane non-fans, the ones who go on & on ON Twitter, attacking people, going off give the ones who honestly want the exploitation to stop a bad name. I feel we here at 15 Min. are here for a purpose. Yes, we snark & it's fun at times. We have fun at Kate's expense, but we also have serious discussions & debates & want some serious laws put down to help the Gosselin children, & any other children who are FORCED to work who do not have a voice.

Again, the non-fans are adults & will do what they will do & we cannot control the vitriol & hate. Ignorance is ugly & saying something about ones lifestyle is wrong, whether Kate is involved or not. Just because he likes Kate doesn't make him a bad person. It doesn't make ANYONE a bad person. I don't get why anybody gets so vicious about her. She is JUST A PERSON who wipes her ass like everyone else. In a years time, she will be a blip on the radar & it won't even matter.

Her Twitter account will be shut down, she will be ignoring EVERYONE, but I think the haters & fans alike will STILL be going at it. "Kate SUCKS!" 'No, Kate is the best, ur jus jellus!". She has really made an impact somehow, by doing absolutely NOTHING. TLC should be just *so* proud that they created a mom-ster. Too bad the kids will always have to suffer.

Tamara said: "Because Jon is the one currently NOT living in the McMansion, the one paying exorbitant child support, with little to no visitation, and his children being filmed even though he is against it. This isn't about the original TLC contract. It's about every legal, financial, and even public relations deals that have happened since, all of which seemed to have hurt Jon. And the kids of course.

Actually, Jon is damn lucky to have gotten out from "Casa del Underwater Mortgage." lol

I have always felt Jon and Kate were beyond stupid for not having representation for those first couple contracts. I would bet the farm Kate found out how much it would cost (no one makes money off our kids but us!!) and thought she would do just fine on her own. She probably thought she was hot stuff negotiating her nannies, maids, landscapers, laundry minions and chef service, all the while the TLC suits were snorting "yeah.. whatever you nutty dame, we'll have meals delivered to your house, no problem... you get meals we get 99% of the DVD sales, heh heh." They sold their souls for short-term wealth and services Kate thought she should no longer have to do. Jon let himself believe for a long time that money and a manufactured and deceptively concocted "brand" were the two most important things for their family. Fortunately he saw the light, although he traveled a crooked path to get to it.

I would think his child support is now based on his current income, although for eight kids I wonder how much of his check is left over

Jon has supposedly moved to a new house and I hope it's true because I predict he's going to have several kids living with him sooner than later. Kate's iron fisted rule and need for absolute control is not going to mesh with two teens and six tweens, it's just not. I wouldn't wish 5 young ladies with PMS on anyone.... except Kate!

Chingada just to clarify Kelly is not banned nor did I ever ban Kelly. There are only two folks here who are banned, some poster named Kimmie who used to shit stir ages ago, and the anonymous sheeple who can't post without personally attacking someone.

I said if folks bully on twitter you are not welcome here. No one is banned. If it stops, they're welcome back. That's a condition, not a banning.

I couldn't agree more that TLC was saying sure Kate you can have meals delivered, meanwhile they were making millions and millions off this family far more than Kate and Jon ever made.

You know if Kate and Jon were really smart? They would have formed their own production company. They would have run the whole industry themselves and been in the driver's seat, not TLC. Then sold it to TLC and negotiated a contract that gave them a lot more profit.

Kate claims (operative word, claims) she does not make near what we think she does. If that's true, that's just darn pathetic and suggests she is incredibly stupid. TLC made BANK on her and if she's not making at least that, she is one stupid businesswoman. Now that the show is sinking she had no leverage, but she certainly held all the cards when the divorce was going on. In typical Kate fashion, she let a perfect opportunity go by. This is not the same as someone working for Johnson and Johnson in a factory making Q-tips while the CEO's make millions. The kids ARE the entire business and the family should have been making way more compared to the figures that have been thrown out about TLC's bank--if I'm not mistaken, Jon quoted more than 300 million, and I think that's a conservative estimate for a 5 year show.

Kate just tweeted her follower numbers again. Then she claims she's loved getting to know them. How do you get to know someone on twitter?

She says they're "under attack". By who? The paparazzi? Please. Because they're cutting everybody else in line? Because people don't want their vacations ruined by a camera crew stomping through? Because people don't like watching exploitation in action and feel the need to say something?

I mean seriously, it's never Kate's fault is it.

I agree that Kate's twitter account has become embarrassing. She's not the only one that has haters Tweeting mean Tweets to her. A couple of months ago I started watching a couple of the Real Housewives shows and got pretty hooked on them. There are several of those women that really incite a lot of hateful and negative Tweets. I mean awful, awful Tweets. After Jesse James cheated on Sandra Bullock he had hundreds and hundreds of downright terrible Tweets. People have no problem Tweeting their hatred toward celebrities and politicians on Twitter. Check out @kimgranatell from Real Housewives of New Jersey.

I have Tweeted my opinions occasionally but I don't do it incessantly or am I vile. I rarely even look at Kate's twitter anymore because it has basically become a chat room. Every move she makes is picked apart to the point it is sickening. I think Kate and some of her fans have managed to get a few haters Twitter accounts suspended but apparently there aren't too many rules for Twitterers that constitute shutting someone down. I don't see anything wrong with giving your opinion even if it's negative but when it is as vile and continuous as some of hers are it becomes disturbing. I also think it is wrong to harrass every single innocent fan of Kate's who Tweets her. Kate's fans are dwindling at lightening speed rate. She will lose most of them eventually at her own hand without non-fans harrassing them all individually. They really don't deserve that.

I do have to say though that Kate's non-fans aren't the only one's Tweeting hatred and harrassing people, as we all know. I read the Yellowstone Insider/Kate's fans tweets and couldn't believe my eyes. The poor guy (or girl) only gave their personal opinion yet was attacked and harrassed by Kate's fans. They were nothing short of rabid. They did exactly what they accuse the non-fans of doing and what they say they abhor about us. The hypocrisy amazes me. To the extreme some believe Kate can do no right, Kate can do no wrong to them. It's crazy.

I think if Kate's non-fans weren't on her Twitter day in and day out the so-called fans would get bored very quickly and we would see less and them as well. I honestly think a lot of them are more into the fighting back and forth than they are into Kate. So many of them have said they are not Kate's fans but her "supporters". That said, I support and respect your stance Admin. Good call.

For shame on taking it elsewhere. If I had been banned, I'd probably be upset, but I most certainly wouldn't take it elsewhere and vent there. Absolutely not. What purpose does that serve? Spiteful comments are never acceptable, and it's not very mature to go around the internet crying to anyone who would listen. What I would do is to move on. People think a heck of a lot more of you if don't pay the tit for tat game.

That is - IF I been banned. I was reading the posts last night, and admin never said that she banned Kelly. She said that she was not posting comments. I have no idea what he might have responded to, but admin explained to him that that his posts were not going to go through.

Admin, Kate didn't say they were under attack. She tweeted that HER standards of cleanliness and organization are under attack.
