Discussion thread: Hodge Podge Dinner

Kate Plus 8
Hodge Podge Dinner
TV-PG
June 27, 10 p.m. EST

For the first time ever, Kate lets the kids take over her kitchen, from baking treats to planning their own meal. They are off to the dialysis center where she and the kids hand deliver baked goods to those undergoing treatment.

Quick Look: 'Kate Plus 8' is lacking more than ratings
The original octomom is still around -- but why?

I'm so over the excuses for Kate's bad behavior.
**************************************
I couldn't agree more. I haven't watched a show in years, so I only see a clip here and there, but can imagine she acts the same throughout the entire episode.

How do these Sheeple have the nerve to stick up for her after viewing her behavior. Do the sheeple mothers talk to their children that way? Would they let any other adults talk to their children that way. As children, would they want to be talked to that way. Having 8 kids is not an excuse. Look at all the teachers in the world who handle more than 8 kids in their classrooms. Do the sheeple want teachers to speak to their kids the way that Kate speaks to hers. Afterall, there are more than 8 of them. That is reason enough to be rude, nasty and obnoxious.

This is being filmed and this is how she acts. I can only imagine how she speaks to them when it is just the 9 of them, with no witnesses. Think about it, Kate doesn't think there is anything wrong with the way she behaves, but I imagine, she thought she was putting on her orgainized mother routine for this episode. Came off as pure bitch to me. It is probably total chaos there when they are alone. The kids probably are "perishing" to go to bed at 7pm just for peace, to get away from her.

What goes through the mind of a Sheeple? As many have said, I also think that some of the Sheeple may treat their kids exactly as Kate does and that is why they defend her. It makes them feel justified in their actions and behavior.

"But the real problem may be Kate herself. Spray-tanned to an unappealing shade of chestnut, wearing heels to any and all occasions (even when that means she isn’t able to play with her kids, whom she tends to treat as small irritants), she looks and acts more like a C-list starlet than a struggling mom, and it’s pretty clear TLC has taken any struggle out of her day-to-day existence. While she’s now a single mom, she’s one who gets book deals and TV contracts and has a bodyguard. We could just as easily be watching a family of meerkats for as much as we can relate to Kate’s high class problems."

SAHM, I think Kate was BOIH a labor and delivery nurse and a dialysis nurse. She did L&D early in the marriage, and after the 6 babies were born, she returned to work on a very part time basis as a dialysis nurse.

That's the way I remember it, anyway.

Bluenoser said...

SAHM I, too, remember when Kate said she was a pediatric nurse and, IIRC, she actually worked in the NICU they visited with the children. That woman opens her mouth and lies spew out. On second thought, perhaps she was such a toxic individual to work with the hospital transferred her from section to section because nobody wanted to work with her.

Bluenoser said...

In the link to the recent artible about chestnut-coloured Katie the writer there also throws Jon under a bus. I really don't think Jon deserves that; yes he was passive but he was bullied by Kate. Furthermore we don't know the extent of the bullying but can only presume it was more than what we saw on camera. I don't think it is fair of that writer at all to blame Jon for that show still being on; we all know if he had his way the children would be living "normal" childhoods (as normal as possible with Kate for a mutha).

------------

So, this so called "mother" of 8 who has more free time than any mother I know, is "Sooo jealous!" of a sheeple whose kids are going to camp soon so she can have some mommy time?? Give me a flipping break! How many days and nights does she get to spend in nice hotels each year, on TLC's dime, all alone, relaxing, enjoying freebies and luxuries, and having "mommy time"? I don't know many (any) moms who get to do that, (nor would they choose to do so, mind you). Also, she has two full weekends per month totally free! Man, I just cant stand this bitch!

Actually, I have to say that I can't stand to hear any of my fellow mothers complain about their kids. I have always despised being around moms who complain when the kids are home all summer or have too many snow days in the winter. They talk about how the kids drive them crazy and they can't wait to get them out of their hair and back in school. I HATE that! I was not raised that way by my wonderful, loving mother, and I am not that kind of mother. My kids know that I LOVE being around them and I love how free and easy our summer time is. I've always hated when school starts again. I actually ENJOY being with my kids - that's why I became a mother in the first place - and I don't complain about them. Don't have kids if all you're going to do is bitch about them and how hard it is! Guess what? The kids are aware of it when their mothers have that attitude toward them! My kids know which moms are like that and they know that I am not that kind of mom.

Uugh, sorry for the rant, but she just ticks me the hell off. Time to get in a better mood....off to a cool birthday party with the kids!

She's a momster said...

I watch a neighbor's kids occasionally and I stayed with them last night and watched the Duggar's show. Gosh. Talk about a night and day difference between them and Kate! No screeching at the kids, no dictatorial rule reviews, and no disappointed, sad or hurt expressions on the kids faces. They filmed last winter's 2ft. snow storm when their city was basically shut down. There was cooperation, tons of smiles, laughs and giggles, and a family that appeared to genuinely enjoy being together and having fun. They used make-shift sleds for sledding and the kids pitched in and made snow-ice-cream complete with the usual spills, messes, licked spoons, and enjoyed by all!

Contrast that to Kate and family. (I also watched Kate's tivo'd show from the night before.)

They packaged up their baked goods for the PATIENTS, not the staff and they were definitely NOT for a patient on a diabetic diet with all the sugar, chocolate, cream, etc that she used! The kids did not roll out cookies on the plastic; it was just for protection from spilled sugar. Whatever, Kate. Kids learn by doing and at the rate she's allowing her kids to "do", they won't learn anything until they're out of the house and on their own.

After baking the kids took eggshells, etc to the barn where Kate said the chickens have been for 6 months (the show was taped in the winter so does that mean they went to the barn last summer already?).

I haven't watched the show in years and was shocked at the bare walls. She has a few pictures up but mostly the house looked cold and institutional. Since Kate's all about orderliness it makes sense because why make the house feel homey if it means you have to dust things, right?

At the dialysis center, Kate screeched at employees she knew and even blocked a patient who was trying to leave to hug one of the nurses. I can't imagine that man was happy she was in his way! She tried to show her kids how all the tubes on the machine connected and what they were for, but let's be honest, it's been almost 5 years and she doesn't remember all that many details and it was over the kids' heads anyway.

The yucky meal wasn't what I expected. In fact, I was let down because the only yucky item was sardines that Kate herself suggested! She tried to assign food categories to each kid, but they wanted to choose (of course the would!) themselves so she let them draw out of a hat which went well. Of course they traded among themselves and I was surprised she allowed that, but they all seemed happy with the end result.

At the store Kate said, and it was confirmed by the cashier, that the kids had never been there before. How many 7 year olds haven't been to a grocery store before? Apparently they haven't.

Their dinner consisted of Frozen Burritos, Pizza Bites, 2 varieties of Canned Sardines (Kate's choice), Canned Green Beans, Bagels and Cream Cheese, Yogurt, Fresh Raspberries, Pickles, Mini Carrots, and Chocolate Covered Donuts for dessert.

The kids were excited and enjoyed their dinner. Not surprisingly, Kate refused to participate and ate cereal. Their divided meal "plates" were filled by Kate at the counter (same as she did when they were toddlers) and the portions were the same as when they were toddlers, too. The camera showed them each getting 1 pickle slice, 1 burrito and 2 pizza bites, 3-4 raspberries, 2 mini-carrots, 1 yogurt cup, and a small spoonful of green beans.

OH, and she said Shoka loved the sardines! The camera also showed them dumping overflowing bowls of food in the garbage.

Only difference between the clip Admin posted and watching the whole show was that there was more to be disgusted with Kate about. No room for comments, will add later.

Kate Gosselin's Blog: Staying Calm When Everything Goes Wrong
Self on 06.27.11

Yesterday was just one of those days. I woke up to a phone call from my dealership reminding me I had an appointment to drop off my car for inspection: Where was I?

And (very kindly) did I need a ride home? I groggily answered I'd be there in ten minutes and after some hesitation, I told him I'd run home (what I didn't tell him was that I had already turned off the alarm clock and consciously decided to run later that day-- but felt guilty about it, not knowing if I'd get another opportunity). Two problems fixed and off I went...

Once I had my car dropped off, I had exactly 57 minutes to run the 5 miles home -- a reachable goal -- because I had to be on the radio in 60 minutes to promo K+8.

As I rounded the corner to my house at 8:59 am, Cara and Mady's teacher pulled up beside me -- which instantly reminded me that they had math tutoring at 9 a.m. (they love their teacher and we are close friends so they agreed to be tutored this summer in order to 'hang out' weekly). I had forgotten tutoring, too!

Wasting no time, I quickly hopped into her car for the last quarter of a mile so I could race into my bedroom/office and jump on the radio -- whew! I made it!

After spending two hours doing back-to-back interviews (I LOVE radio and would love to lend my gift of gab to do my own radio show at some point, by the way) I came out to feed my kids lunch and film the last part of an upcoming K+8 show!

Was the Afternoon More Relaxed? Not Likely!

By this time, it was early afternoon and I had scheduled the boys' haircut appointments (one appointment I didn't forget that day, thank you very much!) so I collected them, put them in the car and off we went! Prior to leaving, I did what any organized mom would do, and I made a conscious effort to place my checkbook into my purse. I remember where I was standing when I inserted it safely and deeply into my purse!

Well, as we arrived at the salon, I reached for my checkbook and, you guessed it, the darn checkbook was no where to be found. After obsessively searching my purse using three different search methods, I still came up empty handed. So I decided I'd check the car and call my babysitter! Nope, no checkbook.

Michelle, the boys' hairdresser, who is my same age, just shook her head and laughed. I asked her, a mom of 3, if she is beginning to misplace things too. As if items evaporate into thin air? She again laughed and said 'It's happening almost daily now!'

John, her dad, piped up from his hair chair and said 'Wait it only gets worse!' Both Michelle and I made cringy faces and shuddered!

I lamented that my days are too busy to be foiled by my own busyness! How annoying to add 'the search for the checkbook' to my already insurmountable list of 'to do's'. Ugh, to say the very least!

When completed, I paid for the boys haircuts using cash (whew!) and headed out to the car with three freshly groomed, handsome 7-year-olds! It was only then that my boys reminded me that my purse had fallen onto the floor behind my seat while I drove and that "Probly the check book is under your seat, Mommy!" So I sent their compact selves into the car to search the dreaded underneaths of the seats and -- within a millisecond -- my Joel proudly produced the evasive checkbook!

I praised his efforts, and smiled to myself! See? I knew I wasn't crazy....

Ok, now back to regular life.....well, until tomorrow, I guess....

Have a gr8 day!

~Kate

There is no way on God's green earth that Kate wrote that blog entry. For starters there is not one "ish" word in there. Kate does not have the capability or the mental capacity to string together a complete sentence let alone and entire article. I know TCL think we are all idiots but please, TLC, give us some credit.

Now, on the other hand I do believe Kate slept in (being hung over will do that to you)and had to be reminded of her appointment.

By the way, that b.s. blog that we know was not even written by Khate, is not only full of lies, but also filled with links (six) to other posts on their site. They are so transparent and desperate for more hits on their site!

Just so as few of us as possible actually go there and give them hits, I'll just tell you what the links are for:

(1) The part where Khate mentions the car needed to be repaired links to an article on their site about how to save money on a new car.

(2) When Khate mentions running, it's a link to her old blog from last fall about the odd things she sees on her runs.

(3) When she mentions the math tutor, it's a link to a post they have about older kids being good at math.

(4) When Khate says she'd love to do her own radio show, it links to her old (May 2010) blog about being a special correspondent on ET with Mary Hart.

(5) When she mentions her purse, it's a link to a post they have about "mom essentials" and a pic of a large purse instead of a diaper bag.

(6) Finally, when she mentions misplacing things, it links to a post they have about "mommy brain" and forgetfulness.

What complete bullcrap! Some idiot on that site was clearly tasked with the job of writing up a phony piece that could incorporate as many links to other topics they have posts about. It's pretty pathetic that they are so desperate for hits!

I don't recall Kate ever saying she was a Pediatric nurse or that she worked in the NICU, but I do remember her talking about being a Labor and Delivery nurse and that she worked on Saturdays at a dialysis center after the 6 were born. IIRC, she left Jon to care for the 8 kids while she worked a double shift on Saturdays, and he never made a big production of it, unlike Ms. Exhausted, who couldn't manage 4 hours (I'm not counting the time the kids spent on enforced bed arrest in the guise of "napping"), with help, while Jon was at work - and that was with Mady and Cara being in school for at least part of those days.

I don't watch Kate or TLC and I caught on quickly in the very beginning how manipulative she was. This episode crossed the line for me in terms of her alleged abuse. These 30 minutes of so called “entertainment” is nothing more than watching an abusive parent and turning a blinds eye to it. Why doesn’t Children & Youth of PA investigate her and TLC?

In my family we have a tradition called pie baking day around Thanksgiving. All the kids from the time they’re in high chairs participate; just giving them a bowl of flour and a wooden spoon or letting toddlers play with dough is fun to watch. Yes, it’s messy. And yes, the pies aren’t picture perfect. But our kids remember that day for the rest of our lives and carry this on to their children. Kitchens are the heart of the home and for her to belittle these kids in such manner is unredeemable in my eyes.

Kate your day will come when you have to answer for your actions. May God have mercy on you (sorry if this offends)

Take note Kate...NO ONE wants to be interviewed by you because you're about as interesting as a cows hind end and your voice is as irritating as a toothache. Don't bother with a talk show in any media because you are a failure at everything you try. You don't belong in the business. Please just accept that you're a nobody and exit stage left. And if the only thing your TLC intern can find to write about in a blog is a misplaced checkbook, you're in worse shape than we thought...YAWN... BTW, ever heard of a debit card? You're old news Kate so just run along now.

Well people, Kate just admitted it that they are filming more shows for our entertainment. So Kate must think of her kids as actors(trained monkeys SORRY), and herself(ringmaster). If this is truely a realist of reality shows, it is about real life, and not entertainment. So, it is staged. Geez, does this woman ever think before she talks or tweets. So these poor kids are nothing more than brand/merchandise/trained monkeys to perform at mom whim. She is a DISGUSTING PERSON! I don't even treat my pets that way!

She's a fool said...

There's something suspiciously missing in Kate's timeline of events of that morning. If she was still sleeping when the dealership called when and where did she have time to squeeze in the call to the babysitter and for said sitter to arrive so that Kate could get to her car appointment on time? Hummmmm

Was the sitter there overnight with Kate planning to ignore the appointment entirely and just stay in bed until she had to do her interviews?

"After spending two hours doing back-to-back interviews (I LOVE radio and would love to lend my gift of gab to do my own radio show at some point, by the way) I came out to feed my kids lunch and film the last part of an upcoming K+8 show!

Was the Afternoon More Relaxed? Not Likely!

By this time, it was early afternoon and I had scheduled the boys' haircut ..."

If her day transpired the way she described it, there was limited contact with the kids and what there was it was rushed and stressed - not surprisingly.

Sounds to me like she spends her "work" days locked in her room with the kids instructed she not be disturbed under penalty of severeness and only rushes out to bark orders and shuttle them to appointments where she frazzled and exhaustedish. I'm not surprised that her contact with the kids is like this and I'm also not surprised that Kate is too stupid to realize that although she thinks she's making points describing her oh, so busy days, she's really showing us how UN-everything she really is and that she's NOT the person she tries so hard to pretend to be.

Normal working moms have to be organized and she's NOT and she has help and they DON'T. I know the impression she made on me, but what was the point she was trying to make? What a fool!

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

That's a no-brainer! It's because they are like that themselves. They bully the non-fans with the crazy accusations, going to extremes to find out identities and launch their attacks, and sometimes even threaten them. Why would they treat their children any differently?

Of course, there are some non-fans who behave the same way. I just wish this verbal bashing back and forth on twitter would stop. It does nothing to establish any kind of credibility for the non-fans.

She's a momster, I saw it too. The TV had not been on since Friday when I watched Say Yes and when I turned it on, Kate+8 was on, so I watched it (listened mostly) while working on a baby blanket. The episode was the kids picking and eating the foods they enjoy, not making a mess. There was nothing gross about it (but I happen to love sardines). I too was appalled to see those cafeteria trays being loaded up (I think you forgot to mention the bagels/cream cheese) while the kids waited in HIGH CHAIRS! Also, earlier, the boys took 'all the leftover food' to the chickens as Kate said that's what they do. And yes, you are right, they are dumping loads of food in the trash at the end. The inconsistencies are unbelievable. It's like watching a movie to see how many flubs they have, except in this case you don't even have to pay that much attention.
Off to the food bank - where I volunteer every week for 12 years. And that's only one of my weekly gigs. Guess what, Kate? It can be done! And you actually receive far more than you give when you do the right thing.

Kate blogs:
I lamented that my days are too busy to be foiled by my own busyness!
*****************************************
"Busyness", I think she means "lazyness." Sleeping in, forgetting appointments, nannys to watch her kids, tutors to teach her kids etc, etc, etc.

If she is struggling to make it by, why doesn't she just buy a razor to cut the boys hair. It takes 5 minutes to give them a buzz cut, which is how they wear it anyway. I think even Kate could handle it with minimal screeching. Hey, I shouldn't give out show ideas.

Add radio host to the list of her dream jobs, along with, author, talk show host, fitness guru, blog writer, family business owner. Sorry Kate, your speaking voice is NOT a strong asset. As someone once said: She has a "special" voice. Stick to twatting.

That blog was stagnant for months. Now that she is desperate, she is using it as another means to relate her dream jobs to everyone and I guess, to let everyone know that she would like to grift some free haircuts next time. She actually had to pay cash this time WHEW!

UGH! Just go away Kate. You make a normal day sound so HARD. It is not that HARD to take your car in and take your boys for a haircut while the nannys and tutors watch all of your other kids. If you got your lazy ass out of bed in the morning, none of this drama would have happened.

You just make yourself sound like a total incompetent fool in these blogs. Is that the point, oh perfect mother of 8, CAN DO KATE?

Interesting thing I heard while watching the Anthony trial. When people are interviewed on talk type shows like 48 hrs they are not paid for the interview (which I had heard here maybe?). But they are paid for licensing of photos and videos. (George got 20K for interview on something) So I would guess Kate didn't go on those shows for free to promote herself. I always thought there was some way she made money doing it besides free trip to do it. I wonder how much all those radio shows are paying her for her babble.

From her own blog, she pretty much admits that she has nannies who stay overnight and take care of the kids in the mornings. There would also have to be nannies when she is locked in her room for 2 hours doing radio interviews. I think none of us believe that she fed her kids lunch after that. The nanny had most likely already taken care of that. I would pretty much bet that Kate doesn't spend as much as 15 minutes with her children during the day.

Agreed, Bearswife! Thanks, NLAN for posting that. That blog entry reads like a children's paperback novel, just like one of my old Babysitter's Club books from the late 80's. I swear this is the work of a young intern. "Collected" my kids, "lamented", "foiled", and the cheesy small-talk jokes at the salon? From that tripe, it sounds like she leads a totally phony and cliched, storybook life. Boring, too. And of course there's the obligatory brags thrown in for good measure: I have radio interviews AND filming today, the twins' teacher and I are great friends and she gives them special tutoring, the car mechanic asked if I had a ride home, etc. Seriously, all moms deal with this stuff nearly everyday, with much less fuss and stress. Can-Do Khate forgot two appointments in one day, and scheduled personal appts on busy "work" days? I need to stop reading into this because I, like a lot of us here, think it's phony to begin with.

She is a Cow, I don't think that dinner was "gross", either. Some of it was frozen food, sure, but I was under the impression that the kids made a gross DISH and mixed foods together. There was nothing wrong with that dinner, many families eat this way because it's affordable and saves time. To call it "gross" is another slap in the face to the average viewer. The kids could use more meals like that, they don't need to like adults all the time.

Re: Parentables blog - ummm, Kate that doesn't sound any busier than one of my days.

Here was my Thursday last week - Wake up at 6:00 a.m., get my two girls on the bus for special ed summer school by 7:00 a.m. with my wonderful husband's help, eat some breakfast while he goes back to bed, drop off my car at the mechanic, get a ride home with the courtesy shuttle, do the dishes and some laundry, get the girls off the bus, feed everyone lunch, borrow my mom's car while she watches the kids so I can run to the grocery store and then take my youngest to her ballet lesson, come home, visit with and thank my mom for the use of her car, check in with my freshman age son to make sure he's done his summer reading and ask him to finish any chores he still has to do, we all play some Wii Sports, I go out and water the lawn, come back in, do some work on the computer for some volunteer groups I serve on, get dinner ready, take my son to scouts, get the girls home and into the bath and then bed, then welcome my son home from scouts (a friend drops him off) spend some time asking him about scouts and either watching tv or playing with him, then I go to bed.

And you know what? In between all this, I still manage to have time for myself to read this blog and do some other things.

Thanks, Nobody, for posting Kate's new blog entry.

For someone who considers herself an organized person, she doesn't seem very organized - forgetting appointments, etc. and losing things often i.e. checkbook and car keys.

She has a smartphone, her millionth pink iphone, which she could easily record appointments in and it can alert her prior to the event.

Although, strangely enough, she didn't forget that radio interview because it would be ABOUT HER. And thank goodness for that tutor! If she hadn't appeared, Kate would have missed that interview! It sounds more like Kate wanted to sleep-in until the radio interview, if it weren't for the dealership's early call.

I don't know about her, but if things kept falling out of my purse in the car, I would a) zip my purse up if possible, and b) place it on the passenger seat or some place where its things can't fall out and get easily lost.

From Kate's blog:
As I rounded the corner to my house at 8:59 am, Cara and Mady's teacher pulled up beside me -- which instantly reminded me that they had math tutoring at 9 a.m. (they love their teacher and we are close friends so they agreed to be tutored this summer in order to 'hang out' weekly). I had forgotten tutoring, too!

Question to local parents whose children attend the Gosselin's private school: Are classroom teachers allowed to visit their students' home or interact with them outside of school events?

The districts I've worked in DO NOT allow it for liability issues - in case anything happens to the student and/or teacher. Any tutoring was done on campus or if kids need/want additional instruction over the summer, they could enroll in summer school. Just wondering if the school has a different policy.

Bearswife said...And one more thing, why would anyone entitle this "Staying calm when everything goes wrong"? Whoever wrote this needs a lesson in what "things going wrong" really means because they have NO fugging clue!!

I agree! Things went wrong because of Kate's poor decision and lack thereof organizational skills. She has yet to experience bad things that happen beyond her control - natural disasters, job lay-offs, etc.

UGH! Just go away Kate. You make a normal day sound so HARD. It is not that HARD to take your car in and take your boys for a haircut while the nannys and tutors watch all of your other kids. If you got your lazy ass out of bed in the morning, none of this drama would have happened.

------------------------------------------------

This reminds me of a great quote I once read on the blog that rhymes with "plop"; it was probably three years ago. I can't remember it exactly, but it was in regards to both Jon & Kate making life difficult. Something along the lines of, "J&K have to go out the back door and around the block just to get to the mailbox". I'd love to find the poster who thought that up, because it's so true. Khate's making millions off living life, just like everyone else does. The best she can do is dramatize every move she makes to garner interest and attention. Sorry, it doesn't work - there's nothing special about ANYTHING that you do, Khate

I do believe that she probably meant the "company" (TLC) checkbook. I'm sure that TLC has given her an account with X amount of money in it for little things like this but she has to account for all monies spent and it would be easier to write a check and then TLC would have the cancelled check. It probably the same account she used in the giving back episode when she wrote a check to sponsor 8 children (8 x $93 per year = $744. I don't for a minute believe that she spent her own money on this when she can't even afford to put the kids in gymnastics.

Now she wants her own radio talk show? ha! My my...such a step down from her aspiration to become a TV talk show host.

***********

You're sooo right about Kate and the lost checkbook. Ms. Organized (NOT) made an episode, I think it was Kan-Do-Kate, about making all those BS binders for household maintenance, but she obviously doesn't use them, ie: forgetting to replace her air conditioner filters last week. She probably forgot to schedule routine maintenance on the units, too.

She's the same person who was photographed with the hand written list of expenses around divorce time and who copied those stacks of checkbook ledgers. I think she spends more time making, editing, and re-writing her infamous to-do lists than actually accomplishing things. I'll never forget all of post-it's the camera caught on the items in the fridge and the time she must have wasted doing that. I can't imagine her actually doing something efficient like using a debit card!

As for a radio talk show? In her dreams. Can you imagine all of the "like, um, uhh, OMG, love to", and dead-air in a program hosted by her? I keep remembering her interviews at the Kentucky Derby and there's NO WAY! Geez, that would be awful. lol

1. That blog entry was about as fascinating as watching paint dry. The police blotter in a tiny town is far more interesting than that. And she or whoever wrote this is a horrible writer. Funny that her long-dead blog suddenly has an entry, isn't it? This is what we call the "death throes" of a celebrity.

2. She sure sounds a bit testy and defensive at times on twitter these days.

3. She's HOPING to go back to Australia this fall? Um, I seriously doubt TLC would film another episode there, for two reasons: they JUST did one there and it was a ratings flop. So I don't think Miss Thang is going Down Under again anytime soon, because God knows she won't pay for it.

4. About how she makes everything harder than it needs to be: I saw this problem WAY back when. One of the first episodes I ever watched had Kate taking two of the little girls to the doctor because they both had ear infections or something. Of course all she did the entire episode was bitch, bitch, bitch. As they were walking out to the van, she is heard to GASP super loudly and dramatically. I thought one of the little kids (they were probably three) had just fallen really hard on the concrete driveway.

Nope! THEY WERE WEARING THE WRONG SHOES. ALL OF THEM! THEY WERE WEARING THE WRONG SHOES! They had on PLAY SHOES! Not GOING OUT SHOES! CERTAINLY NOT GOING TO THE DOCTOR SHOES!

She MARCHED those three year olds back in the house, barking at them and bitching the whole time (and imagine, they have horrible ear infections). She bitches Jon out in the kitchen (meanwhile, he's trying to deal with the OTHER six kids!!!) because THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT SHOES ON, WHY DON'T THEY HAVE THE RIGHT SHOES ON, JON? HUH, JON? WHY DID YOU LET THEM GO OUT WITHOUT THE RIGHT SHOES ON?

First of all, I failed to see how exactly this was Jon's fault. If the damned shoes were so important to her (more important than the kids' comfort, that was clear, as they were whining and crying because of their ears), why didn't SHE make sure they had the right shoes on?

But then I was also gobsmacked that anyone with EIGHT kids would care so damned much about the type of shoes they had on! Especially when they were in pain and needed to get to the doctor! Who cares, Kate? They HAVE shoes on, right? Great! Now get your poor kids to the doctor to get some damn antibiotics.

God. It was horrible and exhausting just watching this woman move through life and I didn't even know jack about her back then.

She's a momster said...The yucky meal wasn't what I expected. In fact, I was let down because the only yucky item was sardines that Kate herself suggested! She tried to assign food categories to each kid, but they wanted to choose (of course the would!) themselves so she let them draw out of a hat which went well....

When Kate said it was a gross dinner, I thought she meant because the kids' actually made it themselves. I guess it was "gross" to her because it was unhealthy, unlike her diet.

Kudos to Kate for allowing the kids to choose what was for dinner and making it sort of "pot luck" so every kid could decide on something.

I do agree with the comment above who said that calling it "gross" was a slap in the face to average viewers, who buy these for dinner because of convenience and price. Another comment mentioned that a lot ended up in the trash (another slap after feeding hungry families). If the kids really enjoyed it, why did it end up in the trash? Those portions sound more like a school lunch than a real dinner. Kate should of gone all-out on the portions, since this is probably one of the few times the kids get to eat what they want. Just like their annual ice-cream for dinner; live a little, Kate!

If she suggested the gross-item for dinner, then did she try it? You can't suggest something then expect everyone else, but yourself, to eat it.

This was an easy way out for Kate, since she can't stand to have people in her kitchen. Here's what I would have done if I was 'super mom' Kate:
1. Let kids decide or randomly pick which course they will help make: appetizer, side dish, main course, dessert. (2 kids per course)
2. Kids choose the recipe or provide food input.
3. Have kids search for ingredients on their list; learn how food is grouped in grocery store. An important life skill.
4. After some mommy time-organization (deciding what to make first or what takes the longest), work on each individual course with those two kids. Kids do most of the capable work, mom helps as needed.

Not only would the outcome be a healthier, delicious home-cooked meal but the kids would learn about grocery shopping and cooking.

But Kate doesn't have the patience for that and TLC probably couldn't fit all that into a half-hour episode.

Nah, blogger doesn't hate you! I'm in the same boat as you. Three is the sometimes-magic number.

Like a child who wants three glasses of water before finally going to sleep, just so she can spend more time with mom, Blogger wants us to hit 'post comment' three times to keep us happy and nearby.

On days when Blogger is in a really bad mood, it has thrown my comments to the wind. But I'm smarter - a 'Blogger No never means no to me' - LOLOLOL - kart, I crack myself up! You've given me so much fodder for the giggles....

Someone suggested, and I do now, highlight and ctrl-C to save before trying the roulette that is blogger.

If Blogger gets testy, I just come back, do a ctrl-V and start over again.

Blogger is like a rebellious child; some days you just have to shake your head, sigh and do over, hoping that when Blogger grows up she will have kids just like her!

I used to watch his show on late night sometimes - he's really raunchy. Says he's 'honest' but lordy bee, he can be majorly tacky. You laugh out loud because of the inappropriateness of his comments.

Really Kate? Delusional Much? I would think this trip would have to be "ON HER DIME." TLC is not going to foot the bill for her to traipse half way around the globe again. The Australia, NZ trips were three of the lowest rated episodes in Kate+8 history. What kind of Kate Wonderland does she live in??? Seriously. How could she possible justify to TLC that she deserves another trip to Australia???

I remember her twittering that she wanted to go back in November to watch Honey the koala be released back into the wild. Well Kate, have you donated anything towards the koala rescue yet?? Last you twittered, you were "working on it." Haven't heard anything since. If you really care about the koalas, why not take the expense of flying to and staying in Australia to watch Honey be released and DONATE it to koala rescue. That act would speak volumes to your "giving back" mantra. But no, then it isn't all about you and what you want. Given the choice, you would rather TLC send you with a camera crew to watch the event, film it all, and make $250,000, or better yet, make it a three part episode and get $750,000 off of it.

I think you are dreaming.

She's been talking about doing 'other things'.
She talks about needing more work for 2011 (so a "single" mom of 8 can support her kids).
Wanting to be on her own radio show.
Possibly writing another book.

Kate knows the end of her show is coming. She's not facing reality (pun intended) and trying to do what she can to keep it from stopping.

It's a fact that all good things must end. Kate can't actually believe that she'd be filming those kids forever and people would still want to watch? Could she?

"I" or "we?" Everything, according to Kate, is "I" "me," or "mine." However if she's including the children in this trip, she needs to think twice about taking those kids out of first and fifth grades. This just isn't going to fly anymore - they cannot miss that much school, unless they are planning on making the trip over Thanksgiving break. Even then, five days off isn't giving them enough time to make the trip, considering the long flight there and back.

Looks like Kate might be avoiding the bill collectors:

TLC is out filming at the house today but that wasn't today's big brouhaha. The big fuss was about Kate realizing her mailbox had been defaced. From the picture it looks like she got the same treatment as most rural people around here get eventually ~ wildass bored adolescents driving around with baseball bats and nothing better to do. In fact it looks to me like her mailbox took much less of a beating than most of them. We gave up on having a nice expensive mailbox years ago thanks to this rural pastime.

Not sure why Kate has a private mailbox anyway when we have a wonderful local post offioce. She picks up all of her mail at a private box in Wyomissing she pays for rather than using her regular USPS mailbox or having the post office hold it for her. She also refuses to accept the steady stream of certified mail she receives at the local PO. When the mail carrier rings at the gate, she doesn't respond. Like all other mail customers she is given two notices and then the certified mail is marked unclaimed. Hope she doesn't miss something important, since a little bird told me lot of her certified mail appears to be from attorneys. Maybe she thinks she'll get lucky and all her legal mail will go away just like her therapy bill did.

I'm guessing Kate wanted to pay the hairdresser with a check so she wouldn't have to pay a cash tip.

Re: How much she gets paid for interviews - My boyfriend is a radio dj and he interviews bands from time to time. THEY ARE NOT PAID. The benefit for the bands is free promotion for their latest album and/or accompanying tours. I'm guessing for most people in entertainment they don't get paid for interviews when it's to promote the latest project, but I could be wrong. They probably get paid when it's to talk about their personal lives, or something they don't immediately profit from.

I also just want to say that the whole idea of this "hodge-podge dinner" episode airing on the heels of the food bank episode is disgusting and hypocritical. It seems like Kate loves to treat food as a worthless item instead of a valuable resource that should never be wasted! The fact that she can claim ignorance to hunger in America and then pretend to champion that cause is ridiculous when she turns around and throws food away on camera. If she were actually a good cook she could come up with a creative way to use leftovers in her "recipes."

The woman is a parody of herself at this point.

From the clip, I got the impression that Kate was enjoying, belittling the kids. Is it because they look more like Jon than her? Kate has not gotten over Jon, and never will. Her meanness towards her kids, will continue till they hit 18 or go to live with dad. The reason I can see, is that she tries to spend as little time with the 8, cause they look very little like her and more like Jon(a reminder). Another Aussie trip will not happen, TLC lost money on the last one, and Jon will take her to court, if she takes the kids out of school again, considering how 2 were expelled, for behavior problems and had a tutor during the school year, and now have a tutor for the summer. Cause maybe all 8 were not doing that well in school? She wrote that the twins go to a tutor, was this during the school year or recent(the TLC parents blog)? and then tweeted that a tutor comes to the house, first once a week, for 3 hours, then I think she changed it to 3 times a week? Well, if the kids were doing well, she could have sign them up at the library for reading program, the local Jr College for math, science etc programs. Oh, I forgot, Kate and kids don't mingle with the peasants. They might catch germs, be happy, play with other kids, see how other parents treat their kids and ask mommies dearest Kate why: you don't treat us that way? Oh, questions, Kate does not do well with random questions, they have to be a set-list questions and approved by Kate. Katie gets confused and will later throw a hissy-fit.

So, what will Kate do for july to keep herself in the know(media) till august? Anyone?

The only excuse for messes is carelessness

---------------------------
How are the Gosselin kids going to raise THEIR children? I feel awful for the fact that they are being raised by such a control freak of a mom & someone who is a "do as I say, not as I do" type of mom. This type of parenting is so hypocritical. It's like a mom who has a cigarette hanging out of her mouth or a beer in her hand saying to her kid "If I ever catch you smoking or drinking...you'll be in big trouble!". Well, hello! Kids SEE everything. They will act as YOU act & see what YOU are doing & think that is OK, therefore they will probably do the same thing, not listen to your words.

So Kate dressing like a hoochie-mama & then possibly telling her daughters not to will blow up her face. Kate telling her kids that chewing gum like a cow is not the right thing to do, yet Kate does the same thing. Kate tells her kids that messes are just being careless, well Kate, haven't you admitted your bedroom/office is a disaster? What does that tell your kids? That your careless, Kate!. Duh. Kate also tells her kids that they aren't working, they are playing in the front of the cameras. Well, when they get "real" jobs when they are older, will they think they playing at their desk, or wherever they are employed? Kate sets ZERO examples for her children. She is just so flimsy with her parenting, & lazy. She films from a script, does what she "has" to for her paycheck, then it's off to twitter, sit by the damn pool, or the leather sofa & whatever else.

Nobody cares enough to take pap pictures, & seemingly watch her stupid show. It's apparently over & why TLC keeps it on is beyond me. They can easily cancel it. They can break contract, can't they? Networks have pulled shows off the air after 1 airing. WHY keep this show. People don't even love to hate her anymore; they just don't care. It's perplexing. I am perishing with perplexity, avidly. :)

I'm still trying to catch up reading all the great comments here. Just wanted to say you're welcome, no problem to those that thanked me for posting the dumbass blog of Khate's. Anything to keep them from getting hits on it.

I know it's off topic, but I have to mention something from Twitter. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it in one of the other threads yet, as I am still trying to read all the comments here from last weekend. But, I was looking on Khate's Twitter this morning and saw something so funny. Did you all see that sheeple from Ireland (dowd24) who tweeted a pic to Khate of an Irish celebrity that she said looks like Khate and reminds her of Khate? Holy crap, I am LMAO about it! The tweet was on Sunday and I wasn't online so I didn't see it or read all the comments here yet. But, it's hysterical. The Irish sheeple offended Khate and some other sheeple, ha ha! Khate said she doesn't think she looks like the other woman and the other woman looks 50ish. Hysterical!!! Oh my word, I am dying, so, so funny!

Is this the picture? She looks NOTHING like Kate:

I read that Kate said she didn't think she looked like her, and that the other woman looked "older." I missed the "50" comment!

What picture did Paige post that Kate made her take down?

Twittering and a Twattering said...

Nobody Likes -- this one has me laughing. Kate's stylist tweeted and asked her if she wants to be a redhead or strawberry blond for fall. A sheeple replied:

"With Kate's skin tone, she'd be lovely in any of those colors! :-) Would you keep the length?"

Skin tone? Orange? Well, with red or strawberry blond hair, you wouldn't be able to tell where her face ends and her hair begins!

Sorry to everybody else for this, but us chronic pain sufferers need to stick together and help each other out. Something Kate would never think of.

Some people have commented about Kate's recent attitude towards her twitter fanatics, and I just wanted to share this short quote I stumbled upon while reading about another band:

“I remember coming to L.A. for the first time and meeting Gwen Stefani and how gracious and wonderful she was.”

“Then I met another favorite artist of mine and what a c*** she was. It ruined my dreams of that person, that c***. I will always be a fan of the person who was gracious.”
- Katy Perry

http://everythingintime.com/uncategorized/new-no-doubt-article-in-rolling-stone/

(I apologize if the inappropriate language offends anyone.)

I'm not really a Katy Perry fan, but her statement totally reminded me of Kate's recent snippy attitude on twitter. Once Kate's true colors start to show on twitter, those fans will eventually move-on to other d-listers who'll fulfill their need for instant gratification.

Can you all imagine Kate on a talk show, *her* talk show?
Kate: Hey, (chomps gum) this is my talk show. (they are too broke for real music, so Kate has to sing a song or do this; da da do do da do da do da do It's Kate! Yeah, today is an awesome show. (said all monotone) We have Hannah from downstairs & a possible crank call to Jon. Also, you'll hear me twittering my fans & I'll read you what they are saying to me. Aren't you so excited?
Oh! We have a phone call? Hello? (now, she is still as excited as someone going to a dentist AND chomping her gum) Who is this? STOP calling this number? Slams the phone down. "I get those calls all the time. I dunno who it is, but I am avidly researching it. Damn prank callers. Well, you just heard a prank. Happy listeners? Are you?? Bunch of..."
"Hannie!! Get up here!!" -little feet come pounding in the room-"Now remember, you are not allowed in this room unless I say. This is Hannah, she is so cute, say hi Hannah!"
Hannah-'Hi Hannah!"
Kate-"For real. That's not funny!"
Hannah-"I made breakfast with Collin this morning & we had fun, but mommy didn't eat it cause she said it looked like shit on a shingle. What is that?"
Kate- "Ok, you're done!"
People can hear a slap, someone crying & a big sigh...
Kate-"I'm back, well I would do our prank, but I already got one. That's ARE show. Whatever." blows bubble. "See you later". starts typing....

At least I know I'm not the only one who finds it a bit annoying, oh, no I'm not! :)

You forgot to add to your radio script:

Kate: Tweeties! Where are my bestest tweeties! Are you there? Please call in! I slept like 136 hours last night. It's a beautifulish day. I heart you all. I need the support! My tweeties avidly keep me going. Aren't you going to call my show? We can tweet together while I'm sitting on my leather sofa - a regular tweeties on the radio party. I have organic popcorn here, grew it in my backyard, the one that is mine, all mine. Popcorn fields forever. PLEASE, tweeties! Wowsers. I have 180,000 followers. What's that? 18,000? Whatever. Inflating isn't a big deal. Um, it's actually good. I added a few extra cup sizes and Steve said it was okay. In all honesty, he said, "You look fantastic, Kite." TWEETIES! Come on! Call me! Now! Are you there, there, there, there? Where are you, you, you, you? Cue: Twilight Zone theme song sound clip."

Throw in "um" every other word, and there you have it! Sounds like a winner to me!

I don't like the fake conversations either so I just don't read them. I also don't read the recaps but don't usually don't announce it.

One blog can't be everything to every poster. I personally wish this blog would get off of Kate and onto other reality TV kid problems but, at this time, many of us still need to bitch about the bitch and that is why this blog is here.

To complain about phrases or how others post means it might be time to take a break. Just clarifyin' ----

I'm sorry, but sometimes the "juvenile" fake dialogue can be amusing, a parody on how ridiculous Kate sounds, giving a look at what "might be" if her perishing to fulfill one of her dreams comes true.
Sometimes I read them, sometimes not. I've been guilty of posting scenarios at one time or another, so I guess it's my bad. I'm sorry If I've offended anyone (after the fact).

Moving on - I read on WG site that Kate's mailbox was damaged, and it was stated on there that the residents of the house don't open the gate when there are certified letters that need signatures and that Kate doesn't even use the mailbox. The certified letters are returned to the post office, waiting for someone to pick them up. When they aren't, they are returned to the sender. Often these letters are from attorneys. My question is this - who would leak this information? This has to come from a US Postal employee - nobody else would have access to information about the senders of these certified letters. Wouldn't it be cause for dismissal if employees are disclosing confidential information regarding someone's mail?

I've often wondered if this blog, along with others critical of kart, carry weight with TLC.... Something along the lines of 'there's no such thing as bad publicity' and 'it doesn't matter what they are saying, as long as they are talking about me'.

kart and purseboy might be laughing all the way to the bank - as long as blogs like this one are active, the controvery stays alive. And controvery is what ratings are all about.

Having said that, let me clarify and emphasize that I love this blog. The posters here, with the exception of some trolls and troll-wanabes, are intelligent, well spoken and thoughtful. They are respectful of the childrens' privacy. And they are spot-on in their justified criticism of kart.

I believe that this blog and others like it have been the impetus for the sea change in attitude toward a grifting, lying, abusive mother (gawd, I hate to use that term for kart) and have helped in getting child protection laws started in PA.

We all dislike kart, or at least her personality and abusive, lying, greedy ways. We all need to verbalize somewhere. We all need to do what we can to protect those children, and the way we do it is speak loudly and clearly so advertisers can hear that making money off of innocent children is despicable.

So far we've done a pretty good job. It seems evident that the kart phenomenon is fading. There is evidence that her contract won't be renewed when it ends. There is hope that the kids will be able to return to a somewhat normal life without cameras.

Sadly, there is no evidence that they will be able to shed their toxic mother.

As to whether this and other blogs contribute to keeping kart on the air... I don't know. But clearly, there was no alternative to our vocal criticism.

Had blogs like this one not evolved and persevered, I wonder how much further kart would have advanced. We, as critics of child exploition, had and continue to have no choice but to speak out.

This blog serves a moral imperative. Child exploitation is bad. It must be stopped.

Another thought as I gather wool here, is this: would there be such a hue and cry if the mother was nice? It seems that Michelle Dugger doesn't get such harsh criticism.

Personally, I like Michelle Dugger and feel that what I see on TV is her true self. Whether you agree or disagree with their beliefs, she is nice - softspoken, sweet and gentle with her children, never responding to them in a screeching voice or harshly critical, or making fun of them on the show.

And Becky Dilly, she's very nice and supportive of her kids.

So we know it CAN be done: a little TV to get a little money AND maintain a respect for the kids and their privacy........

In the end, the focus of the kart debacle is kart herself. Her toxic self.

No matter where she goes or what she does she will remain toxic.

I don't know how to use twitter and I don't follow any tweets, other than to check out Kate's twittering frenzies, and those of her sheeple. She said that she slept 10 hours last night. Do other "celebrities" tweet their every move throughout the day, such as when they go to bed, when they wake up, when they are preparing lunch, when they are running errands, when they are sitting on leather sofas or grilling by the pool?

Is this a thing that's regularly done by well-known people to their fans?

Return to sender, that sounds really bogus to me. If the mailbox at the residence does not receive mail, and Kate has a PO box instead, certified mail would be given to her at the facility that houses her PO box where she would sign for it. Her mailbox at the house wouldn't even be on the regular route taken by the postal carrier.

Return To Sender, Address Unknown said...

I'm not sure exactly how that works. If the sender has the STREET address, then unless the mail is on hold by the USPS, it is delivered to the street address. If the sender has the box number, then it's delivered to that number. If the USPS mail box at the house address is full, the mail carrier will not deliver mail to that address, but holds it at the post office (for a limited amount of time) until the recipient picks it up. Either way, someone (according to info on the WG site) is releasing information that certified mail (much of which comes from attorneys) is not being picked up. If I were the person releasing that info, I think I'd be afraid that my job was in jeopardy if that info was being released on blogs.

Warmth of the sun, I've seen celebrity tweets and some of them do tweet when they get up, when they go to bed, what they're doing for the day, etc., but the tweets are short, don't need to be weirdly abbreviated so no one can decipher them and they don't carry on conversations with their fans, they don't ask for encouragement and talk about how exhausted they are. I dont mean to be rude or dismissive, but have my private practice all day for these matters, and when I log in here sometimes it is just too much for me.

I would like to cast a DOZEN 'yay' votes for a 2 week moratorium on posting one single word about a Kate, a Gosselin, a pair of stripper shoes, sets of fake boobs, painted orange skin or anything of that sort. A concentrated focus on legislation, forward movement, and solid ideas for child protection and/or mandatory mental health screening for those ill adults being exploited by reality TV... these things are beyond reproach and would serve our concerns much better than 'did you see the size of her toe?' Being focused on solutions, rather than just pointing out the newest example of tragedy.

As far as how intelligent and civil this blog is, I say YES INDEED, but I must give some credit to our Admin. There are times my rage at the child-abuser boils over and I write things that none of the young G's should ever read about their mommy when they grow up. I rant not about her toes but what I foolishly assume her feelings about her family might be. Admin does not post my innappropriate rantings. Thank you, Admin. ~ So I think it is our Admin who remains level-headed and helps keep us on track, as well as our own individual efforts.

Explanation understood! I guess my question is how would anyone know exactly what you are sorry for if you just begin a sentence with "I'm sorry, but..." It's unclear if you sorry for what is being said, or if you are sorry for offending anybody.
I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear!

On another note, I was watching the Casey Anthony trial today, and a young whippersnapper spectator made an obscene gesture to the prosecutor. At the conclusion of court, he had to answer to the judge, who found him in violation of court rules, sentenced him to six days in jail (he was handcuffed) with a $400 fine plus $200 in court costs. He said he was a server at a popular restaurant chain.
So, for one stupid action, this kid now has a criminal record...one fleeting vertical extension of the index finger! How is it these kids cannot think ahead and consider the consequences of their actions? It so reminds me of some of the owners of the sheeple blogs who likewise have no ability to stop and think about what might ensue if they don't observe copyright laws, and rules governing libel.
Do these people think that they are above the law and it's never going to come to anything? The fellow who was found guilty in court today made a statement to the judge that it was a stupid thing to do. It's too late! It's been done, and now he's going to be sitting in jail and has to pay $600. That was an expensive two second flip of the bird!

Troy, I was thinking the same thing when I read that blog entry stating she had run five miles from the car dealership back to her house. I doubt she runs in public where people can see her. I believe she may "jog" up and down her own street and maybe an adjacent road. I can't see her running through a suburban area with the high chance of being noticed or harassed w/o Stevie to protect her. I won't believe it until I see a candid photo of Khate running, taken by a stranger. The set-up "pap" shots where Khate is running towards the camera don't count.

Hi Legally Blonde... interesting story about the guy at the Anthony trial. I wonder if he sympathizes with Casey because she's pretty. There have been studies to that effect, and this could explain some of Kart's sheeple. I believe some of them are "in love with" Kart in a creepy kind of way - yes, I'm talking about the women, and this is why they think she's such a good mother and role model and are blind to her bad actions.

Every time I click on this blog and see little Leah's face, it just tugs on my heart...I haven't watched the show since the first episode of K+8 because I didn't want to be counted as one of Kate's fans.

Leah is such a little doll and so smart. Early on, she could speak so clearly and had a great vocabulary for her age. Recently Kate referred to her as 'a little fairy' and I have to say I agree with her on that one.

Kate's treatment of her children is more than I can bear to watch. Keeping up with this blog and 1 other is the only way of my staying informed of their welfare. Alot of us fell in love with those children whether we admit it or not. That is why it is so despicable what Kate and TLC are doing to them, taking advantage and exploiting their precious childhood. I hope that soon they can have some semblance of a normal life and Jon will continue being a source of unconditional love and respect.

Kate will pay for what she's done eventually, we all do. I will not dance or sing when she is cancelled, but hope for the very best outcome for the children. Also, maybe it will be an opportunity for Kate to grow as a person and think about someone other than herself for a change.

Re Kate and using a P.O. box as well as her home mail box - some places of business refuse to accept a P.O. box and require the physical address - many credit card companies, for example. Some banks also won't accept a P.O. box, either. I've used a P.O. box for years, because I live in the country and mail delivery here is a problem (the carriers are fine, but people tend to steal the mail or, as has happened with Kate, destroy the mail box). I still have to use my physical address for some things.

I enjoy the fake scenarios, too. Some of them show imagination and a real gift for satire. What I don't like seeing is the publication of some of the snark tweets on Kate's account. Most of them are rude, crude, and pointless I don't think they serve our cause - privacy and protection for the G8 - but put us in a bad light. When those are recounted on here, I just skip the post. I really don't even like reading Kate's tweets at the top of this blog, although I admit they hold a certain morbid fascination.

Stupidity landed him in jail for six days. I'm wondering if he was dared to do this, and figured maybe this was his chance for 15 minutes in the spotlight. He was, after all, on national television.

I was about to jump all over that statement too. Kate will never believe she made a mistake nor will she decide to put someone else before herself for a change. Thanks to those commenters who post links and/or stories of their own experiences with narcissists we have an understanding of Kate's mental illness. This blog is indeed useful and informative.

I used to feel like even the anti-Kate blogs helped to keep her in the spotlight. However, when I really sat down and crunched some numbers I realized we're not even numerous enough to do THAT.

I know of about four anti-Kate blogs (that are specifically anti-Kate). Four? Whatever, fewer than five, to be sure. That's really not much. And there are (estimating here) let's say 200 people who post regularly to those blogs.

That is certainly not enough to keep her face out there. Even 500 people on a regular basis wouldn't be enough.

So add in the sheeple. I do believe their numbers are even lower, but let's be generous and say they number at around 200, too.

Nope, still not enough. If the internet were a galaxy, Kate would be a mote of dust somewhere off over in the corner.

The good this blog has done, bringing awareness to child exploitation in reality TV, probably greatly outweighs any negative gained by giving Kate attention. That's just my opinion, of course. But the numbers of us don't support keeping her in the spotlight.

What I DO advise is to NEVER comment on (or click on, if you can help it) a story about her on the big mainstream gossip sites. They rarely mention her anymore, but Radar, Celebitchy, and INF Daily all recently mentioned her. DON'T comment. When a particular story or person gets a ton of hits and comments, the owners of that site know they need to run more, thus demand goes up. Admin posts pics here, anyway, no need to comment on them elsewhere.

I also never click on her "blog" or on the TLC website. Don't follow her on Twitter (no need, her feed is public, you can just look her up and read it all). And of course, as we all have said many times, do NOT watch the show, not even in reruns. In this house, we boycott that entire network.

If you go ask 10 random people on the street about Kate Gosselin, I would guess five would say "who?" Four would say they hate her. And one would say they like her or are indifferent to her. She once said 90% of people hate her. I think it's worse than that: I think most people don't even realize she's still around or care about her. That's worse than hate.

Not only is spending 6 days in jail for flipping the prosecutor the bird, but he's been fined over $600.00 (not sure the exact amount), AND most likely, he will kiss his job at TGIF goodbye for lacking common sense & decency.

I thought he was going to break down and start crying when the judge started to "spank" him publically.

I followed a trail that lead me to TLC's Twitter page and peeked to see if they tweeted to promote Kate Plus 8 on Monday. Big deal, they did, twice but with no mention of her tweeting with fans.

I did notice TLC tweeting about Cake Boss which airs 1 hour before Kate with a LIVE CHAT - seven times!

The writing is clear on TLC's twitter wall. We have Kate, their washed up network stah, begging the sheeple to send her tweets while their new network star, Buddy - the Cake Boss, is in a TLC sponsored Chat Room chatting with so many people he's not able to answer all of the questions submitted.

Star (Buddy) - Has-been (Kate)

It's clear to me who TLC is backing and I think that from her recent tweets that Kate sees it too. Karma baby!

------------------------------
I am not not one to judge people on their looks, but EWWWW! I think Casey Anthony is an UGLY person. Maybe it's because I believe she is guilty. I don't know, but she is so unattractive to me. And Kate, do not even get me started. I have said this before, people are beautiful for WHO they are on the inside. Someone can look like the damn elephant man & be the sweetest person & he would be beautiful. You have someone like Kate, who struts around in veneers, bleached out hair, fake boobs, hoochie-mama clothes, high heels, etc but her personality is disgusting, she is rude, mean, uninteresting, dumb & boorish. An ugly person.

IMO, it's the inner beauty. Always. That could be the hippie who is me, but that is my philosophy anyway! (& I know that's not everyone's philosophy unfortunately...Especially young men) :)

I never realized the extent of Kate's greed and narcissism until I started reading her tweets, and I'm wondering how many eyes have been opened because of it. She just can't keep her mouth shut.

I watched Nancy Grace tonight (another classic narcissist) to see if she was going to mention the bird-flipper at the Anthony trial today. She never misses an opportunity to work those precious twins into the conversation. Here's another example of someone who doesn't think before she speaks. My jaw dropped when she said that if one of the twins was on trial for murder, she would perjure herself in court if it would be necessary to save little Lucy or John David. Then she went on to talk about the bird flipper, saying "His mother must be so proud!" This is an adult male. What does his mother have to do with it? What if he doesn't know his mother, or if she is deceased? The stupidity and arrogance of this woman!

Kate sent these two tweets out last night. I don't watch the shows, but am assuming someone asked about Cara.

Does anyone really believe Cara is still interested in filming the "fun Stuff?" Just the look on her face and her body language. Does anyone believe that not doing the interviews = fine for Kate. I am sure Kate didn't just passively say, "no problem, if you don't want to do it, thats fine." You can tell from past interviews that Cara was not happy to be there, but she was.

I also like how she films them all week long to the point of exhaustion (her words) and then ships them to Jon for the weekend, so SHE can rest. What a despicable piece of work she is.

Kate would have remembered the flags just fine if TLC had shown up with 50 Flags and a crew to
plant most of them before they filmed. Her "tradition" was taken away because TLC was busy filming something else. It has nothing -
nothing - to do with family projects or patriotism.

Has Kate no clue this is the 4th of July weekend? There have certainly been hints of it where I live. Hot, calendar ready to be turned to July, fireworks sales all over the place, some are already being set off by neighbors, flags are up all around town, people are talking about their upcoming celebrations, parade is planned in town, newspaper is full of
historical factoids........

Oh yeah, all these would be clues to a person who observes the world around her and who reads
papers. Never mind.

RE: scenarios. I don't mind the "conversations" at all, in fact some are great. I don't mind how people express their disdain with what Kate is doing that harms her children. But I must say I really don't like some of the explosive terms used to describe her. I dislike calling a person a "bitch" even if she is acting like one. It just sits wrong with me. It goes back to the way I was raised - express opinions, but keep it clean. So that's my opinion on posts here.

I saw that Khate mentioned Taylor Swift recently on Twitter and how all eight of them would be going to her concert this summer. So, just out of curiosity, I checked the tour schedule and Taylor is in Philadelphia in five weeks for a concert on Saturday, August 6th. Checking the calendar, if Kate has the kids every other weekend, she will have them that weekend. But, oh my, how will she ever afford 8 tickets, plus one for her, a "helper" or two, and "security"/boobyguard? We all know she would never go unless TLC paid for it or got them for free.

Katie Irene was recently twittering Taylor, working their 'hometown connection' so I expect she was hoping Taylor will give her and the kids (8, count 'em 8 kids) front row seats. Since Taylor apparently hasn't done that, Katie Irene has forgotten all about it and moved on to her dream trips to London and return to Australia. Watch, we'll never hear about the concert again, unless TLC sends her and the kids as a farewell present.

Anon This Time said...

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

It doesn't always work that way. It depends on the venue. If the show is being held at a performing arts center, for example, patrons have first choice at those front row seats long before they go on sale to the public. If a person is on the guest list for a concert, more times than not, he will get tickets that aren't as good as if he shopped for tickets online as soon as they go on sale.

Yes, venues hold back seats for guests of the performer and the band, but again, depending on the size of the venue and their policies, many times there are only a certain number of tickets that each performer can put back for a guest. I've seen it happen where a very well known, seasoned band was performing at a venue and the mother of one of one of the lead singers was unable to get tickets within the first 10 rows. I've also seen the wife of the band's production manager unable to get tickets to a sold-out show. It happens.

Kate may beg for tickets and she's likely to get them, but depending on how "tight" she and Taylor are, it would surprise the heck out of me if she were gifted with nine front row seats. Of course, she could always try and talk TLC into making an episode out of it and get her free tickets that way! Otherwise, she should go online and buy the tickets herself.

Performers get sick to death of fans, relatives, hometown buddies hounding them to be put on the guest list with all-access passes.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Anon I completely agree with your "sediments". It's a myth that you can just get front row tickets because you know someone. Not usually. However Kate's idea of how VIPs really live is very skewed, almost cartoonish. If you see a celeb or family at an event likely they are there how everyone else got there--paying out of pocket and paying early.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If you know the performer and you can't get front row seats or good seats, but you have an all-access pass, you could use it to watch the show backstage. The thing is, with Taylor Swift, I would imagine that she knows so many people in the entertainment business, celebrities, VIPS, that Kate Gosselin would be pretty far down in the pecking order when it comes to front row seats or passes. I can't imagine eight kids running around backstage watching a show, and you know darn well she's not going to buy nine concert tickets with her own money...excuse me, the KIDS' money.

She could always sit backstage in the hospitality room and enjoy the food (and wine!) that is brought in by the caterers for the performers! I'm sure some healthy, organic food would be listed on the riders!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The judge repeatedly asked him why he did it...if he was objecting to something the prosecutor did, or if he just disliked him, whatever. The kid had no explanation and kept saying over and over again that it was a stupid thing to do.

Stupidity landed him in jail for six days. I'm wondering if he was dared to do this, and figured maybe this was his chance for 15 minutes in the spotlight. He was, after all, on national television.

************************************************

How humiliating! What the heck was he thinking? And at a courthouse?

Not only is spending 6 days in jail for flipping the prosecutor the bird, but he's been fined over $600.00 (not sure the exact amount), AND most likely, he will kiss his job at TGIF goodbye for lacking common sense & decency.

I thought he was going to break down and start crying when the judge started to "spank" him publically.

Apparently, common sense is not common...

Dallas Lady said...

Just askin'

We are known for apologizing here in Canada, in advance, during and after the fact.

Why? If you feel strongly about a statement, then why apologize for your convictions? Because you are afraid of offending someone?

Just sayin', to my ear, is used defensively. I generally hear it when somebody says something and then they worry they may be challenged on their statement. Just sayin' doesn't bother me at all.

I do agree with JackieL; fake posts are juvenile. Having said that I use the option available to me: scroll past them.

As to beginning an entry with I'm sorry" I have to wonder if JackieL is a fellow Canuck. We are known for apologizing here in Canada, in advance, during and after the fact. Sorry will slip off our tongue like 'oops'.

Terry Irwin is not very liked in Austrailia for exploiting her young children,so naturally they have something in common.

Kate's version of "gift of gab":
"Me me me me me um me me me um kids episodes me um like you know um me me me me me me me insert disconnected sentence that is basically bs me me um uh me? No...Jon's fault...but he's trying. Back to um me."

This is not directed at anyone, and should not by any means be considered an insult to anyone who posts here, but am I the only one who is driven absolutely nuts by the phrase "just sayin'"??
Please tell me it's not just me! :)

Is this the picture? She looks NOTHING like Kate:

I read that Kate said she didn't think she looked like her, and that the other woman looked "older." I missed the "50" comment!

What picture did Paige post that Kate made her take down?

Well, it's been a long day with the kids....and fun! Unlike Khate, I don't bitch and moan about spending time with my children. Best days of the year!

Perhaps someone could teach her how to use the "other" features on that iphone of hers - like the calendar with alarm feature, and the todo/notepad app along with its camera...the damn thing is more than a phone. And getting really techy, how to sync with her computer - wow! I mean really, she needs a flow chart for filters and salt? All the binders, flow charts and sticky notes in the world ain't worth sh*t if ya don't read 'em, ya moron! Heck, she could just put the reminders on a regular wall calendar. But then, there's that pesky reading thingee again. Sigh.

If the gift of gab is talking about yourself constantly with a self-satisfied smirk on your face, or turning around every conversation and making it all about you, then yes, she has the gift of gab.

Oh, I thought she said that she has the GRIFT of gab. I must have misunderstood! She grifts everything else.

With all of the security that she assures the sheeple that she has, I guess the video cameras weren't turned on!
Or could it be that security isn't as beefy as she professes?
