I went back and checked Khate’s Twitter and she was using Twitterific all along up until the morning of Thursday, April 28th. Last week started with her erroneously tweeting on Monday 4/25 that her show was on that night. Then, on the morning of Tuesday 4/26, she tweeted that she was at the airport on the way to a meeting with TLC. Those tweets were via Twitterific, as were tweets she did that Tuesday afternoon, Tuesday night when she said she was home, and on Wednesday and Wednesday night (4/27).
Her first tweet on Thursday 4/28 was still via Twitterific. Although it was already 11:45 am EST, she tweeted:

So, she’s back to Twiterrific and her iphone. Maybe she went away for a few days vacation (with the boobyguard) and she didn’t have phone service, so she only tweeted when she could get online for a few minutes at a time. She might have just arrived back home today before leaving again tomorrow for the Kentucky Derby. Who knows, just a thought. As we all discussed, it does seem that TLC and/or attorneys have calmed down her twittering just based on the timing of her slow down being right after the TLC meeting. But, it’s also interesting to note that this period of reduced twittering has coincided with her tweeting from the web for the first time, and not her usual, beloved pink iphone.

It's funny that Kate has all the time in the world to tweet when she's WITH the kids but when she's away from them she's too busy.
I wonder how this twitter thing will end. Maybe she'll grow tired of it when it can't get her ratings or money. Or she'll stay on twitter because it will be the only place for her to get her daily dose of attention and adoration. Ya'll this is fantastic. Her lead in was her own show. I believe they showed at least 3 or more episodes on Monday night before her Philly preview at 10pm eastern.
Two tv shows are hogging the viewers in this timeslot. 1)Pawn Shop on History Channel--they have around 6 million or so every week. 2) Bethanney Frankel's, "Live Ever After", show on Bravo. I believe next week maybe her last show for the season and then something new and stupid will take its place.

I think we finally hit the sweet spot of the old format is getting OLD (i.e. send Kate and the kids on trips and watch them squeal), the kids are growing out of the cute stage and rebelling by standing around all the "sets" with scowls and crossed arms (tragic, but certainly not cute), and the economy so in the dumps no one wants to watch a family having it all on a silver platter. We've finally arrived.

I love that show! The dynamics among the "characters" are what makes it so much fun to watch, and at the same time, you really get some nice history lessons.
Does anyone know what Kate's next episode is featuring? It is the grocery shopping/giving back, or the Easter show?

I can tell you who does care about the numbers: TLC. They care about them very, very much. And these are horrible numbers. Hell, her NZ episode had horrible numbers for as hyped as it was and how it was taped halfway across the world. Obviously, this snoozefest in Philly was going to be even lower.

Anonymous, I'm not sure why you would assume that many of us, if not the vast majority, don't volunteer frequently and some of us have even devoted our life's work to kids or other worthy causes. Because we also squeeze in a few minutes posting on a blog means we can't also help out others?
We just can't talk about our volunteer work or quite frankly, anything but the most vaguest of details about our private lives and the people in them, because the sheeple take this tidbits of information, sleuth them out like they are the FBI, then call people in our lives and send letters trying to "out" us. Out us for what I have no idea, but I prefer that people in my life who love me or care about me or just enjoy working with me not be harassed and so do they.
As for me I have three main charities I help out with, but I can't name two of them because they are small and would be harassed. The third is the Red Cross. And I don't mean I just give blood, which I do. I also volunteer at drives, and when I was in college, even hosted a benefit screening of a documentary about vaccines in Africa. The sheeple are welcome to call the Red Cross and report me to them, I don't think they have a requirement that their volunteers can't admin a blog lol.

.681 million viewers, lets say half are watching to see the trainwreck. Kate makes 250,000 an episode (still baffles me she gets that much), so add production costs and teh trips TLC is paying $1-2 per real fan. That seems very very high cost per fan. I doubt it costs $250k to make pawn stars which gets 10 times then ratings. I have been to the pawn stars shop when they were filming. I don't know if the pawn stars salaries has been disclosed, but my impression was they were happy to do the show because of the amount of people came in the store. The pawn stars were making alot of money off of loyal fans. My husband is a loyal fan and he bought a $20 autographed shirt and they were selling alot of reasonable priced items in the 45 minutes I was there to fans.
Ican't imagine with these ratings Kate will get any of her bucket list trips.

This SO reminds me of "The Andy Griffith Show"--Barney Fife bragging that he knew the Preamble, but Andy had to feed it to him by words and phrases.
Andy thinks it's funny. He says dryly, "You wanna go through it one more time, or you think you got it?" Barney gives his classic self-satisfied grin, his hair all messed up from where he'd been pulling it. He says, "I got it."

Sorry everyone about the Royal Lineage thing. I am the one who started it. It doesn't really matter - I was simply trying to point out that even history (hx) tries to dump on Kate's TV scheduling by providing more interesting subjects for Americans and Canadians to watch -

It was from a previous discussion here about the Bald Head Island trip where Mady and Cara were learning how to surf. Some believed the footage showed Kate exhaling smoke. If true, it would explain Kate's constant gum chewing.

Yes, I noticed they're no longer from her phone, too. Only from a computer. Someone took the toy (Twitter) away--either by telling her to stop or getting her to take the app off her phone.
Admin, I feel sorry for you having to watch that garbage! I haven't had a chance to even look around at all online since last night, but I imagine that even her sheeple had to have been somewhat bored by the Philadelphia episode, even though they will never admit it. There is no way the ratings could even equal the last episode (New Zealand), which was already a huge drop off.
I do not care where Khate has been for the last week, but I do have to say that there is NO way that her lack of tweeting is due to being out of town and busy. Bullcrap, she's the one who says it only takes a second to tweet on her phone here and there while doing other things. If she really wanted to keep up the tweeting, she would at least be doing it more than she has for the last week, which is barely anything. She didn't even tweet to pimp her own show, or since it's aired. I think that means she's given up, she knows it's over.
By the way, I saw on Twitter last night that someone (a non-sheeple) commented that they noticed that Khate's tweets are no longer via Twitterfic (from her iphone), but via the web. I haven't had time to look at that yet, but that's pretty telling, as in TLC took it over after the meeting last week.
OK, I TiVo'd the latest episode so it wouldn't contribute to ratings and just watched. That's an hour (more or less, I FF through commercials) that I'll never get back. Does anyone know if Kraft advertises on TLC? If so maybe they should pull their advertising. At the end during the cheesesteak "contest" K8 went on and on about how Cheese Whiz is horrible and she "did not allow my guy to use Cheese Whiz because that is like dreadful cheese". I can't remember if she used provolone or American cheese (or both). Does she not know that most American cheese is the solid form of Cheese Whiz and is also a "processed cheese food"? She stated that she's not a red meat eater, well for not being a red meat eater she certainly scarffed down those cheese steaks - especially when she had one made just for her with Cheese Whiz.
Are the ratings in yet? I can't wait to find out!!

If Edward VIII had not abdicated the throne,assuming that he and Wallis had no children, which was inevitable due to the fact that she had a hysterectomy earlier in life, he would still have been succeeded by George VI, born 14 Dec. 1895, and then by HIS daughter Elizabeth. HENRY, not Richard, Duke of Gloucester, not Glouchester , was the third son of George V, born 31 March, 1900.
This is where it gets interesting.
Edward died in the 60's, so George never would have been king as he died in 1952. So is it possible the crown would have been passed to Richard after all the surviving brother? I'm going to check this out.
It's obvious she's getting ready for (or already in) KY for the Derby. The non-tweeting is a combo of 1) someone telling her to cut it out, 2) She's losing interest and 3) She really does happen to be busy this week. No speculation necessary really.
