I noticed that, too. They weren't falling all over her, and I expected some to ask what kind of containers she uses, if she freezes some of the leftovers, how long they stay fresh in the refrigerator, and if she puts the nuggets in the microwave or oven to re-heat them.

What a conundrum as Prince Charles says. Here TFMJG has been filming the heck out of her 8 tween and teen ATM's all summer long due to the skeletons coming out of the Duggars' closet. A few sheeple care and the lookylou's who have taken the cell phone pictures when they are spotted fimling. But will it translate into the numbers needed to keep TLC filming her? The Busby's may or may not be real competition--it depends on if America is truly over cute HOM babies on TV (from what I've read, they're following the J&K/TLC playbook as far as invoking God and 'blessings' and that may turn viewers off). The big TV networks aren't calling to book her for appearances because they're busy with the Duggar scandal(s) and really she's old news. What to do, what to do? Throw Jon under the bus? That could backfire because she's got her own skeletons that could be dragged out again.
Twitter is the only thing she's got right now. And she seems to be feeling isolated again.

Daniel and Candice Keller: Daniel is the oldest Keller son, and Candice is his wife. She is a beautician, which is why her hair is so awesome. They reportedly adopted a child recently because they were unable to conceive. Many of Gothard’s followers do not believe in adoption because the “sins of the parents” are permanently associated with the kid. I read an article this past weekend about this family, and it stated that the Duggars lived in a home owned by their church before moving into the TLC $200,000 funded house. That most of their vehicles were donated, as well as their bus. They lived on donated food and hand me down clothing.
JB also doesn't believe in medical insurance (I have watched only a FEW episodes of their show, and I did watch the one where JB says he does not believe in health insurance. He said he'd rather pay for it himself.) I did notice in a recent picture that one of the boys had braces, which is the first time I've seen that...usually it's only the girls that get that treatment (Josh did not). I guess the girls need braces so their future husbands will find them more attractive?
I also read this morning that Michelle, Jana and Jessa were featured speakers at an Indiana ITA homeschool convention when the Ashley Madison/Josh news broke.

I also read that one of the older boys and one of the girls, I think Jill said that they had to hide food. Jim Bob paid 200K or 250K cash to run for his representive seat while living like they were with all those kids. Why didn't he try for city council and work his way up? Not that I really want him too, but he could of started that way. That 200K was a waste of money because he only served one 2 yr. term and I think was defeated in the next election.
I think the reason why Jim Bob doesn't like health insurance is because he is too stingy to pay the premiums. But you get sick, have an accident, or have a baby you are relieved that you did pay.
Reminds me of a Roseanne episode, Darlene was playing a ball game and her appendix ruptured and was taken to the ER. The doctor said she had to have surgery immediately and the nurse kept asking Roseanne about her insurance. R said that she sent them a check and the nurse said it wasn't going through. Laura could hardly write, but tried so hard. She got up and acted like she was reading from it but she only had a couple of words on it and it was the best speech in the class. Everytime they show that episode and when I see Laura's paper when the camera zooms in on it when Miss Beadle is looking at it, I tear up! But the most wonderful thing about Miss Beadle was she didn't tear Laura down. She encouraged her and told her that she tries and with hard work she will be caught up in no time.
It is too bad that TFW won't hire a tutor to help them with their writing if they need it. But, when they chose the nursing home they are going to put them in, all that will be needed is an X on the signature line, legally.

All preemies are automatically covered under Medicaid. Both the Gosselins and the Dugars preemie's medical bills were paid by Medicaid.

Jillgee, re DWTS last week the pro dancer cast was announced. This week, GMA will announce and introduce the celeb dancers one at a time with the final roster and partners being announced Wednesday Sept 2. This is per the official abc dwts site.
One more thing about DWTS, the first episode is Sept 14, so probably the pro dancers and celebs are already hard at work. Wardrobe already has their measurements, makeup and hair are already prepping for the look for everyone in the publicity stills. The partners and celebs may already be out there on a web site, because anyone who can see the rehearsal venue can figure it out by watching who comes and goes.

Raising your daughters to do 99% of the housework (Grandma did the other 1%) while Michelle is marking her ovulation and periods down on a calendar is not normal....If JB and Michelle want to pop out all those kids, then they can take care of them and let their kids be kids. The oldest married daughter's hubby has a degree from Ok State (and the baby wears Ok State clothing--think they found that in the Goodwill bin?), so I think after they realize ministry isn't going to foot their bills for lifelong, he will go back to WORK.
I am concerned about the younger daughter that is about to pop out a kid. From what I've read, her hubby has an uncredited juco degree--so how's he supposed to provide for his family?? (I also wonder if these 2 young men are second guessing their marital choices).

Bindi I don't think has gone to a real school in years if ever. She has from the moment of her birth been the heir apparent to the Irwin empire.
If the cast is getting ready now it's the middle of the school year in Australia. But I don't know if she follows a typical school schedule. I'm under the impression she has a tutor. Still I don't think filming in summer gets you out of having a set teacher in CA, though I'd have to check. The set teacher does more than ensure education is happening. A set teacher is on set while you are filming making sure that the "stunts" are safe and that the child is comfortable. For instance if it's really hot out the set teacher has the power to stop production so the child can get some water and cool off. They also keep track of the time and hours a child is working. The way set teachers are in CA is very protective, which is one reason productions don't like filming in CA much anymore.
I hope Bindi goes to college. Someday the public might lose interest, and she'll have nothing left. If she has a degree in marine biology, zoology or something similar, however, she can go on doing what she loves.

The religious persecution that is going along with this whole mess is disheartening. Like others have said, at it's core, this is more about blatant and grievous hypocrisy than anything else.
Josh Duggar was given a position of some influence based on little more than his status as a reality t.v. figure and his father's creation of a religious cult.
Jim Bob manipulated every aspect of his wife's life, his children's lives and even his own religion to have it suit his doctrine and agenda.
Anyone who is genuinely struggling to find faith is not going to be swayed or deterred by the likes of Josh Duggar and his messed up family.

Does anybody have an "all-in-computer". It is a desk computer but the CPU unit is built into the monitor. So therefore the only wires are the keyboard, mouse, and electrical plug. And you can also opt. for a wireless mouse and monitor too. My computer is a desktop that is about 9 years old and is giving me lots of problems. And I moved to new apt. and have to keep it in my bedroom now and have to keep it on a wall I don't want it on. The vast amount of wires is overwhelming. It is just a big, ugly pile of tangled wires. I didn't even know about all-in-ones until I saw them on Dell website. For my needs, the prices are from $350 to $450 for a great computer. Of course I just use mine for blogging, emailing, and surfing the web. Sometimes I view youtube. Just curious if anybody has experience with one. And do you think Dell or Hewitt Packard are better? Also with this all-in-one I can move computer to different wall and use it with a router.
I don't want a laptop because I need my monitor and keyboard at different heights. And I don't really need to take it anywhere. And I don't want an I-Pad because typing on it sounds like it would be a pain and uncomfortable. For an I-Pad do you have to connect a separate pad to type long things such as posts for this site? My only experience is my sister has one and I have just seen her view things and google stuff on it. I didn't even notice a keypad except at the top where you put in words to goggle.
Update on our air quality index: we're back on the scale. Our reading dropped to 9, then went back up to 10. So top of the scale (highest in "high risk" category), but no longer way off the scale.
We have forest fires and smoke every year, but I've never seen anything like this before.

Typing on a ipad is a real pain. My daughter does have an external keyboard for hers. She mainly uses the external keyboard / iPad combo when she travels, otherwise she uses a desktop (all-in-one) or laptop. For text entry on an iPad, you do something that makes the normal display disappear and it is replaced by a picture of a keyboard. You then type on the "keys" on the picture.
Another possibility to consider is a laptop plus a large external monitor. When you plug the laptop in to the external monitor, the display is on the external monitor; unplug it and it is on the laptop screen. She could even set hers up so it was half-and-half. Her movie was on the "big screen" but the controls were on the "little screen".
Either a laptop or an all-in-one will be easy for you to get used to - it will be similar to what you're already using but in a much neater and more portable package. An iPad not so much.
Leslie, you could also consider a tablet (iPad, Galaxy etc...) with a stand accessory, ie: a case cover with stand, and a bluetooth keyboard.
That way, it's a "desk top", a laptop and a tablet.

My sense is that Megyn had to address the elephant in the room. She did the Duggar interview which was a big "get", but she lost her objectivity and got sucked into their persecution complex.
Megyn started beating that drum over and over again and even her colleagues on Fox could not fall in line with her conspiracy theory.
I think she went too far and I hope she's reflected on how she lost her objectivity. As a woman and mother, she really missed the point(s).

Mac desktops are like that, and I love them. Use them at a sound mixing job I occasionally do. You can get a used one for a third of the price, almost as good as the current line.

The Little Family mom is an idiot. She is potty training the twin girls and fully showing everything. They were trying and couldn't then give the girls Capri sun juices so they could go. Then they show one of the girls standing up and she had peed all down her leg and the camera zooms in.
Then they show the girls and the mom at the foot of the stairs and she is changing them and one of the girls stood up and it looked like her pink pants were off and the sweatshirt came down and she was completely bare. I could be wrong. I will have to look again to make sure, but I really don't want to.
Then she has had enough PT and decides to go to a bar with her friends. Her and her husband's anniversary is coming up and they convince her to do a romantic date. TLC paid for nice room, rose petal bomb explosion and of course, champagne, dinner, present.

Momanager Gosselin's dreams may extend beyond the kids' 18th birthday, but I doubt DWTS will pursue any of the kids because it would mean "she who cannot be taught to dance" would be back on the set as the kid's guardian, trying to get on camera, etc.

The Russian conspiracy theory came from Breitbart. How's that for impartial journalism! Nobody else mentions it. The theory supposedly came from from Hunter Biden source. Sounds more like a Breitbart staffer made it up. All Hunter Biden has said is that he denies the account (they all do) and someone used his email account.

Susan1956, I think you are absolutely right. Who on the dwts set or production staff would want to deal with TFMJG as the onset parent. With her history, she probably would think it's fine to drop a child off and spend the rest of the day at a spa or shopping, and there would be much annoyance at having to stay in one place, while her child took the spotlight.
Leslie - I bought my husband an all-in-one, touch screen computer. I normally use my iPad but love the computer when I use it. Alas, my husband does everything the old way and I don't think he's ever used the touch screen. It's the windows version I believe.
This is weird. I looked at Kate twitter account(not her timeline) and it now shows that she has only 8 followers and isn't following anyone. When I first looked at it is showed 6 followers, which later increased to 8. I thought it might be a twitter glitch, but I checked other twitter accounts and their numbers seem to be the same as they were yesterday.
Can anyone on twitter verify this? I checked tweettunnel and it shows that she's following 208 and has over but 252k followers, but I know tweettunnel can sometimes lag a day or 2 behind on those stats.

I think this is a unique situation because Trump has such a direct connection to Kate. His connection to Kate sort of evolved into talking about his doings here, and then out of nowhere he rose to the front of the pack and the election got so interesting. I don't think any of us here expected that. But if the sentiment really is we should move on, I will respect the majority.
As far as her fans go there are so many celebs now who interact directly and frequently with their fans, there are a lot of other people the fans could turn to for a fix. If she abandons them repeatedly every week or so for two weeks at a time as she has done consistently for the past four months, it's only natural they're going to eventually lose interest and move on.
It is so easy to just use the scroll button if you are not interested in the subject matter of a post. I like how this blog offers something for everyone and on many different topics.
Let's face it, Katie can get very boring.
It would be a shame to lose any ladies (and men) of the veranda, so I think we should avoid the political off topic posts.

I vote no politics also. Even though the conversation has been, for the most part, civil so far, it already feels like we're walking on eggshells. I enjoyed the previous relaxed attitude here and would love to get back to that.

I always thought one of the greatest moments of that show is when the kids finally got old enough to feel comfortable going off script a bit, and one of the boys, I think Joel, explained that actually Kate just goes home and goes back to bed after dropping them off. LOL, hilarious. You know TFW never wanted that to come out. She wants you to think she works 18 hour days going hither and yon supporting her family with errands, or in her home office "working" or whatever the hell else she wants us to think.
The reality is I suspect she is a very lazy woman who doesn't like work and does everything she can to avoid it. Lots of people would rather just sit around, it's not a big deal. The only sad thing is she isn't honest about it. She catfishes herself pretending she's some kind of workaholic with this tremendous work ethic and dedication, and it's just not true. If it were true she would have been bored out of her mind by now and gone back to a real job ages ago.

As a Canadian we tend to have a different viewpoint regarding the political landscape in the U.S. Firstly, our Prime Minister called our election early and will run 11 weeks, the longest in recent Canadian history. We are not accustomed to electoral races that seem to go on for years! And secondly, it isn't something I want to weigh in on, although I
have plenty of thoughts and opinions on your politics.

Anybody else have trouble getting into Fear The Walking Dead last night? Although I did enjoy Talking Dead and the sneak peeks into the new season & interviews with the cast of The Walking Dead.
Remona Blue, Winsome and Paula, I'm with the 3 of you about the darn politics. I'm scrollin', scrollin', scrollin', right past it, but can't help being stung. I feel like I'm being called a fool for supporting a certain candidate, like no sensible person would even consider that. Even though it's not said outright, it is certainly implied. Since this is not a political blog, I am disappointed to find this level of ungraciousness about politics here.
Just as I would find scathing comments about my religious choices hard to take, I find it hard to sit here and read scathing comments about my choice at the polls. It's not apples and oranges, they are both highly sensitive topics that can hurt. I will return when this is all over. Thanx.

I just scroll past what I don't want to read or discuss. I rarely take part in political discussions because, unlike Hillary, I pay attention to what I am not supposed to do as a government employee. Yes, I know what I just said and it's probably the only time I'll say anything. BTW, DT called in to the Stern show today and you can probably find it online. I was only half listening but if it's put on on-demand I'll listen again and report in (if it's still allowed).
I for one, and even if I'm Canadian, do not mind the exchanges on politics: it's interesting to see how our america neighbours approach choosing their futur leader.
Actually, the posters here are all so bright and original thinkers and TFW's life is so boring, that I would welcome *any* kind of new discussion subject beside her.
A few days ago we were all exchanging on Josh Duggar, his family, their cult, etc., the conversation was all bright and lively and then someone posted a few (boring) lines on the latest TFW's non-news. (I think it was that she just had a massage...). And I did a double-take. Who? Oh yeah... Her. Couldn't care less.
But I would like to make a suggestion though if you all vote to put a stop to political discussions on this blog: When TFW isn't doing anything really stupid and is just taking pictures of leftovers, we could discuss other reality television exploiting children "Gosselin style". It is the name of this blog after all.
Just this morning, Redbird posted on The Little Family and she was absolutely right: something is off with that show. The mother is literally a little Kate. You just know she is not selling her kids privacy to educate the general public on dwarfism: she's doing it for the celebrity recognition and and the perks that come with it. "I can't WAIT to see where this adventure will be taking us!" she used to crow in her promo and in the exact same voice as Kate Gosselin. Brrrrr....
And then there's that Willis family: they are very talented, adorable and beautiful, sure, but I watched the whole season last winter and at the end, the cracks in their perfect image of their perfect family were starting to show big time. (The eldest son, who is visibly not that stable emotionally, was publicly humiliated when his fiancee broke up their engagement not long after a big theatrical proposal, I'm sure was pushed by TLC.)
And then we have the Duggars, of course: that whole can of worms isn't even half-open yet. And I Am Jazz. And The Little Couple. And all the future shows exploiting cute kids that TLC is preparing at this very moment, I'm sure.
Finally I think that Milo was a big factor in keeping Kate Gosselin's myth alive. For a while now, we've been spending at lot more time discussing Milo's tweet than discussing TFW's life per se. Now that Milo is silent, I think we are realizing how utterly empty and uninteresting is TFW's life.

I do enjoy talking about Trump though, in that he has a connection to TFW, and he's such a blow-hard. And...he has a connection to Megyn Kelly, who has a connection to the Duggars, which right now is a topic of interest.

I missed it when it was on TV but have been binge watching on Netflix. I didn't think I'd like it, because it's about high school football in a small Texas town. I was wrong. The real story is the marriage of coach Taylor & his wife Tami. They have a wonderful relationship, able to work through anything that comes their way, because of their love & respect for each other. It was on for 5 seasons, & had an avid, though relatively small, following.

Been binging The Rockford Files on Hulu.
I watched Fear the Walking Dead but it didn't grip me like The Walking Dead immediately did. The Walking Dead characters are so special and you got sucked in from day one.You really cared about their fate and that is something that is incredibly hard to do on a TV series. When it happens, it's very special. I don't care about these new characters. Not yet anyway. This might be a slow starter series that is good to stick out for several episodes before passing judgment. I'm hoping for the best, since I really am interested in what happened before we met our Walking Dead characters.
It plays like a mediocre fan fic so far!

There is a podcast called Undisclosed that is about the Adnan Sayed case. It was begun by the sister of one of his high school friends, who is now an attorney. But, there have been some possible violations uncovered, including the failure to turn over evidence to the defense. SPOILER ALERT: The defense attorney failed to see that the cel records, which were the basis for the timeline, expressly noted that the records do not accurately depict where the cel phone was when sending and receiving calls and should not be relied on as evidence.
The new information revealed this week was that it appears that Jay received payment from Crimebusters for his testimony. If so, the failure to disclose this would qualify as a Brady violation, which should guarantee that a new trial would be ordered.

I watched that clip. The Duggars are all cowards--Josh taking his family off to a mountain home and the rest of the Duggar family hiding out in the compound--ET referred to the Duggar home as a compound and said Michelle YELLED at her children to come inside when they started talking to a man with a dog. She turned a bit took a chair and sat down. Married less than an hour and he did not wait for her to be seated or even help her with her chair. I don't know what to think of his wife. Jeremy's wife is very pretty and seems to be nice.

Zach was coddled his whole life as the only little child in the family, and also he was frequently in the hospital. He has always been socially awkward and as a 25-something year old man struggles with something as basic as cooking a pasta dinner for his fiancee. He is never going to be that guy that just thinks on his own to give his wife a chair. He has to be told by somebody else to do something like that, then practice it, over and over, until it sticks. His family still has to give him a lot of help with basic things. In the previous episode he was fighting hard with his fiancee about where the reception tent would be. His father and brother had to tell him that he really should just let that one go and let Tori have it where she wants to have it. It really didn't matter at all in the long run and it's better Tori is happy. He seemed to not understand why it would be better to just let her win that one.
I'm not quite sure what she sees in him, but his wife seems great. She's a school teacher, sweet, nice, funny, is obsessed with her dog, and seems to adore Zach for some odd reason.

School uniform codes are pretty ubiquitous. Not surprised he can wear a white shirt. Note, you can't see what he's wearing on the bottom, so maybe that's different and Kate's hiding it (which I'd support).
What's a bit surprising is if Colin's 1st day is the same as his siblings.

It's good she included Colin in the photo and had him wear a white polo like everyone else. Cara's a little young to be doing the hair dying thing already but I suspect it was probably a bribe for filming. When you have dark hair and dye it blonde it often seems to take on sort of a dishwater dirty straw color. Ick. She'll have to pick her battles with them.
As for the photo, could she please arrange the kids so you can see all their faces??? Two of the kids have nearly half their faces cut off. She's such a doofus.
Has anyone else noticed that Kate's door wreaths are always off- center? Pet peeve of mine lol.
