The youngest star of TLC's Little People, Big World, who has been filming the show since he was about seven years old, has been speaking out more frequently about his dislike of filming and his desire to protect other reality stars from a childhood played out on T.V. screens
Jacob recently met Jack Hamill, star of Our Little Family. Jacob had this to say on Instagram about the encounter (click to enlarge):

I agree, Admin. Common sense plus what other celebs do is offer tweets to the fans about what they are working on. This is called promotion, which I would think TLC would be in favor of. Since the cat is out of the bag they are in Destin filming, why not promote it? I suspect her silence is her and ratclaws' decision because, you know, it's for security of her kids. Ha! It's so no uninvited apps show up. Period. TLC really needs to kick her flat ass to the curb.
Also, since TLC is footing the bill for this beach vacay, they flew. When she got that free beach house in Gulf Shores, she drove. No way is she going into her pocketbook to buy airfare.
Anyone ever heard if she and Steve always fly first class? Somehow, I think that is the case. Everyone else in coach because she is the stah and Steve needs to be at her side so he can "protect" her from her throngs of fans. And the free wine is a plus, LOL.

TLC announced the crossover in their press release about the Roloff's new "season". So the word was already out there. Amy and Matt have also referenced the crossover(with pictures) on their social media.
Since TLC hasn't announced anything yet about new episodes of Kate's show, she probably isn't allowed to say anything until they do so. When someone asks her on twitter if they'll be a new season, she just coyly tweet a winky face, or give a subtle-not so subtle hint, like she did in this tweet. Notice how she capitalized the word "show".

I browsed hundreds of comments on TLC's web site, and over and over, a lot of them said I actually like the Little Couple show (and others) and I'd like to keep following them but my heart and conscience says I won't so I'll just have to wish them the best and move on. Others popped on to say such and such show came on tonight and I didn't watch.

I think she went to FL for herself alone (though she'd probably have preferred Turks & Caicos or some other more exotic, "A-list" location). She loves to show off her barely-clad rockin' (lol) body, she cannot get enough of hearing "oh you look so hot for having 8 kids" (people never seem to remember it was only two pregnancies). She is really and truly in love with this carefully and expensively re-engineered version of herself, for all that she now looks like any old generic bottle blonde strolling down Hollywood Boulevard. It makes absolutely no difference to her that this particular storyline has been played out in front of a film crew over and over and over again, or that her kids might have preferred something else. Actually, not correct. Jeremy loves working and building with his Dad, but knows its his way or the highway. Zach and Molly have been very upset with their dad and even refused to go on a trip to the BVI's because he purposely planned it over Mother's Day stating it was the only time HE could go. Zach has not always had a good relationship with him, but as you can see, money talks. Zach has become much more involved in the plot and Tori clearly likes filming and what that will bring. I think the twin's and their wives will be fighting over who gets the main house with Amy. But I can also see both auj and Tori wanting there own house built.
This continuation with the second gen Roloff kids will shed light on kids who have grown up on RT, who willing are staying on.
auj had a good job at a winery in LA, but they have since moved back to the farm. Funny how quickly the Cali dream lasted.

I am sure the side hug rules and all the other crap are because of Josh. He was reportedly 14 when this started. The younger ones would have not dated yet so it was easier to put on restrictions. JimBob and Michele had supposedly made out and maybe more before marriage. But as we all know (sarcasm), the best way to stop pedophiles is to never let consenting adults be alone. If the girls tempted their brother, they would certainly tempt future husbands. They set up elaborate rules where you couldn't be alone, rather than truly removing Josh from the house. Their priority is Josh. All the other kids had to change instead of getting Josh some real help.

Interesting that the production company themselves reported them for their illegal activity. I can't blame them for that. If a production company sees something wrong or illegal, they shouldn't look the other way. Just like Orpah's people didn't. That actually suggests to me somebody at Discovery has learned something. I'm not sure when they started this but I think their extreme conservatism encourages inappropriate behavior, which is ironically exactly what they're trying to prevent. The old forbidden fruit thing.

There were so few people at Kate's book signing I went to that the security guard I was talking to said Kate had requested that her signing station be moved to a much smaller area between two bookshelves. Her reasoning was the smaller area would make it look more crowded. I guess kind of how if only 3 people show to your party if you move it to the small den it looks like 30? LOL.

I hear you, but if all those conditions were in place at the time of the assault on the non-family member . . . . I tend to forget that some of the assaults took place in the early 2000's. One of the things that caught my attention was JimBoob making the kids wear secondhand shoes and living in that small house while he plunked down $250,000 CASH for an unsuccessful bid for a higher public office.
I actually enjoyed hearing Amused's thoughts about the Roloffs. I don't know why it was necessary for Amused to attack me personally though, or pick a rather passive aggressive name. But since she's new and had some interesting things to say I let it slide.

Not at all what I meant. If I sounded equivocal on it I didn't mean to. My comment about how I couldn't blame Discovery for reporting them was a rhetorical response to anyone who might say they can't believe their own production company would sell them out. My comment that Discovery is finally LEARNING, was the "praise" I referred to.
What they did is horrific, if true. No animal should have to die in that manner! I feel nauseous thinking about the poor things being chased down by a noisy windy frightening helicopter while bullets fly all around them. Kudos for someone at Discovery defending the animals. I couldn't agree more with you.

The CBC is very vague about what they actually did. If you click on the link in it, you'll find a much more detailed article from an Alaska source.
I believe they did not actually hunt from a helicopter, but used one to get to a hunting camp. That is illegal because helicopters can go into so many areas that would otherwise be inaccessible.
There is also a discussion of flying (in fixed-wing aircraft) and hunting. You can't hunt on the same day that you fly; I guess it's to keep people from spotting game from the air, hot-footing it to the location, and blasting away. The only exception is on scheduled flights; you can fly into Anchorage on a regular commercial plane, drive to a nearby hunting camp, and hunt on the same day.
The spirit of that "suggestion" was not very kind and very personal.

I have no idea what happened, although I do remember hearing both from them on the show and just hearing around, that Alaska has extremely specific hunting and fishing laws. They have also mentioned rules about aircraft even just aircraft used to transport.
They will have things that might not even make sense to a casual observer. Just a hypothetical example, but something like, and on Thursday you may fish and collect two blue fish and on Friday you may fish one blue fish. On Thursday you can use hooks but on Fridays you can use nets. They also have laws about who can do what, giving more leeway to Native Americans than whites.
Of course it is always the responsibility of any hunter to know the laws backwards and forwards no matter how complicated, and to follow them even if you don't quite understand them. We will see what exactly happened and how this shakes out. I do know that entire family talks about hunting in a manner that has always shown extreme respect and have never indicated they hunt for sport, but rather for food, so it is very disappointing to hear they may have been out of compliance.

I agree. Someone posted here that someone had deflected over to that other blog so I went and looked. Someone is posting there claiming they used to be here. It's a sheep sock, IMO. If someone was posting here and became disgruntled, I can't imagine they would suddenly go to a blog that thinks TFW is the bees knees. They would either just not go to blogs, or go to one with similar opinions, not the opposite. It's very strange.
I kind of like My Giant Life so far. It's focused on adults at least. Well, one family has teens. But it cracks me up that they sit them on teeny tiny chairs in a teeny tiny set to make them look even bigger.
I have been MIA a bit lately although have been reading...our new pup has the parasite thing plus she has learned to clamber over babygates and is a wild chewy thing- we can't start obedience classes or walks till she is out of quarantine! I like the banter on this blog, and I like that we don't always agree. I agree a LOT, I disagree sometimes too. Same with most other posters here. Once in awhile, we have a lively and passionate disagreement. It's not personal, and one man sharpens another.

I think it's extremely concerning he is allowed free access to his young children and his still minor siblings. Has he had a full psychologist evaluation to determine he is no longer a danger? They don't say. "Therapy" is good but that's not necessarily the same as a full work up to determine and assess for safety risk to OTHER kids.
As someone thinking about marrying into the family and having children, any young woman should think twice about that.
Last night, Comet, the Labradoodle, crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge, surrounded by family and friends. The vet recommended letting my other dog, Darwin, to allow him closure and to grieve. When the vet came in, Darwin went over to Comet and snuggled up with him. It was so touching to see him say his goodbye to his buddy (and partner in crime!). I am so grateful to have had the time to prepare myself, and to have the certainty that the time was right.
I will, of course, miss him terribly, but I am so relieved that he is no longer sick and suffering. Thanks to everyone on this blog for your words of support.....means a lot.

I remember that a few years ago, when the sheeple came on to stir their droppings, at first the posters ignored them, but that really didn't stop anything. They were bored and wanted to rile things up here, turning poster against poster. They someone suggested that everyone here just agree with whatever they said. It was really funny. Somewhat childish, yes, but amusing just the same. It did seem to quiet them when they realized that they weren't getting the response they wanted, which was to start arguments. How can you fight with everyone who was agreeing with you? They disappeared, for a while anyway.
Then I remember there was one particular poster who seemed to just run through admin's posts, specifically targeting her. Admin set a trap and flushed that one out. I just wonder if that person comes back here occasionally when things get boring on her own blog, if she has one.
I've read this blog almost daily for the past 5 yrs. I don't comment often, usually due to the fact that the intelligent posters here usually sum up what I would say as well. I don't think the blog is dead - it's summer. People are on holidays, have other summer events to go to.

I don't go to those blogs so I wouldn't know if she is well known on another blog, and well liked, sort of liked, disliked or just tolerated...and really, I don't care. We're not talking about another blog. The discussion has been about this blog, and if someone comes here with a condescending attitude, telling admin what to do, then those comments will not be looked upon too favorably.
It will be interesting, but you know, Donald is ahead in the polls, and apparently there are a few people supporting him. I really hope that some here don't use this blog to make it a Donald Bash Fest tomorrow.

I've read this blog almost daily for the past 5 yrs. I don't comment often, usually due to the fact that the intelligent posters here usually sum up what I would say as well. I don't think the blog is dead - it's summer. People are on holidays, have other summer events to go to.

I have not quit with this awesome blog, I may get really behind on things, but always get every post on here read! I am just very busy, there is garden produce to can/freeze, 5 acres of grass to cut, seeing my 5 grand kids, visiting with family that live far away from me, all kinds of things to keep me busy. So no, this blog has not lost me:)

I'm disabled and have lots of time on my hands and read many blogs, one that Amused posts on and frankly, not too many there find her or him amusing. LOL. Compared to most of the other blogs I read which run from newspaper blogs to entertainment blogs to medical blogs and more, this one is managed beautifully. The administrator is entitled to her opinion and I appreciate her smarts and can only imagine the headaches this blog gives her at times. Her staff does an incredible job of moderating and getting comments posted quickly.
I've been reading here a long time and post only sometimes but I don't see a loss in posters. It seems slower but many people are vacationing and let's face it, Kate is getting to be old news unless she does something to bring attention to herself and the kids. On blogs, people come and go depending on how the wind is blowing. They may return using new names, who knows?
When I look back to several years ago, there were many fan and non-fan blogs. What remains? CJ and Ziggy have blogs that are dead and have about 3 posters, if that. GWOP is all but dead. The Sage blog is nothing but uneducated dimwits who copy and paste what's posted here and then giggle about it. I've yet to see an intelligent conversation there. This is the only quality non-fan blog left.
Thanks you Admin and staff for putting up with all this silliness and keeping the doors open, the lights on and giving us the ability to have all kinds of conversations on all kinds of topics!

I realize many happy couples got married at the ages of Josiah and Marjorie, but it seems so, so young to me.
I like the English tradition of a gap year where young people take an actual year off after high school graduation to decide if they want to go to university, enlist in the military or marry. I know it's impractical, but the idea is pretty much to cease what you have been doing (going to high school) and look around at your options for 9-12 months. I would assume a person brings in some income while pondering.

That's not quite what is done on an average gap year. Most of the time is spent volunteering with organizations like Raleigh International or at a school, travel, or working a job in a different country or chalet girl type set up. Your university and the next three years is usually already chosen, unless you are taking resits or need to reapply.
Your version sounds interesting and useful though.
I love this blog - please Admin don't change a thing. I don't read any of those which are mentioned above but I do rely on other posters to keep everyone up-to-date on what is happening (or not happening) on the other blogs.
People are busy during this time of year even if only enjoying the weather. Things will pick up as soon as TFW does the next stupid thing.
I have to agree with my fellow Canadian, our political candidates do remind me of Curly, Larry and Moe.

I have been here through several of my birthdays (and pet passings). I remember and miss several names of past posters. People come and go.
Interest in Kate diminishes until she does something abrasive. Then we hear the call of our connection again.
Some of us have been together for a long time. I agree with most comments, but not all. I have learned many things that would have escaped my notice. I just finished reading "Still Alice" because someone here recommended it. My curiosity about Downton Abbey and Breaking Bad began here.

I am another reader, rare poster and it doesn't seem to me that posts are way down. Just perhaps not a whole lot to discuss sometimes and discouraged that it's seeming to never end for those poor kids. Those photos really make me feel for those kids. Can you imagine being trapped in this scenario for days on end, following around a bellowing harridan and being followed by half a dozen techs carrying equipment, in the heat and humidity, for the sake of resurrecting that Magical Moment when Alexis coined the word "aldergator"? They all look like they'd much rather be hanging by their pool or in a cool arcade or just about anywhere besides where they are. When is she going to realize that none of this shit is interesting OR cute anymore? Especially when her co-stars appear so completely disengaged. I hope this is the end of the line for her and TLC. I have to admit my interest in Kate is very much diminishing. It's really gotten very much like a broken record with her and the beach vacations that were boring four years ago are absolutely mind numbing now. We actually had a discussion about six months here about how as much as we of course care about these kids, you can only care so much before it's time to move on and accept there's nothing else to be done.
I can't get enthused about doing the last of the recaps. I might, but I think you all would understand if I decide not to do them.
But I love all of you and we've built some nice little internet friendships here and as long as there is interest in chatting with each other, be it about Kate or anything else, this blog will be here.

I know having lived near a beach for ten years that it does get old. Just like living at an amusement park gets old or any other thing. That's just human nature.
Beaches can be dirty, crowded, expensive parking, have dangers in the water, and you come back all sandy. If the kids are dragged from one beach to another enough, they might very well tire of it like kids tire of too much of anything. They do seem bored, and it's normal.
