I do hope there will be some posters who go, I would really love to know what she'll do with the leftovers, stuff that won't sell. What did they do at the last yard sale? Or will the items tomorrow be what didn't sell that last time?
She's probably getting rid of the Halloween decorations, because TLC provided new ones for this year's filming.

Those poor kids. They're at school now, and after a full week of
their own little lives' activities, they have to go to "work" tomorrow.
Talking to complete strangers for hours and hours. Perhaps being
asked personal questions about their lives, or having embarrassing things they've said or done on the show brought up. You can't tell

As for Jon abandoning the dogs, he didn't have the means to house or take care of such large animals. Returning them to a shelter he knew and trusted was better than leaving them in horrendous conditions with Kate or just leaving them somewhere.

PJ - It all makes perfect sense now, doesn't it? All the crap has been hitting the fan with the HBB situation, so TLC knew they would have no choice but to cancel the show. They had to scramble to fill what they knew would be a gap in their schedule, so easy peasy to bring Kate out of mothballs.

I really, really wish that they'd stop advertising that car/booster seats will be for sale. There is not a reputable charity anywhere that will accept those things, even to donate to people. I work with several charities, and they ALL say NO carseats and cribs. Those two items are often recalled and they have no way of knowing that donated items were recalled because they were deemed unsafe, so they err on the side of caution and will not accept them at all. If people want to give them away or exchange them on Craigslist or whatever, there is nothing they can do. But for safety and liability sake, they are not acceptable donations to charity.

I agree, Mel. And I think there were many, many arguments between Jon and Kate about that issue and if it wasn't the reason for the divorce it was a big part of it. They got in too deep, Jon saw what lay ahead for the kids and wanted out. Kate was enjoying it far too much to let allow that to happen.
Of course, living with an gluttonized narcissist was also a huge determining factor in their divorce. He was not going to win that battle and he knew it.

I totally agree. Jon was faced with continue to "film the kids" or leave. Kate was enthralled with being in the public eye; Jon was not. Never mind, she was traveling everywhere with Steve, in spite of the fact that he was not comfortable with this. Did she stop having Steve as a bodyguard to keep the marriage going- hell no!! She also wanted Jon to quit his IT job, so that they could film, and so that she could travel. I believe that Jon should have stayed with that job, but Kate ruled that he needed to be home with the kids, when she traveled. Beginning of the end as he said that he wanted his own identity outside of the show. Of course, to TFW everything became about her fame and glory and $$$$$. TFW then refused to go to marriage counseling (as SHE, of course, was not the problem, but rather Jon who no longer wanted to film, and wanted a normal life. BUT.................."There is no going back," according TFW. That was the beginning of the end.
I will be the first to say that I don't embrace many of his choices; he is almost a lost soul who has lost his direction. But I do think a lot of this had to do with the rejection when he would not go along with TFW, and from that point, the family imploded, with the narcissist at the helm.
Very sad for the kids that they are not able to co-parent as Jon has been X'd out of her agenda. Her way or the highway!
On the other hand, Jon needs to get it together and define himself as a person and father, once and for all. His crazy work history is erratic at best, and only adds fuel to TFW's fire. She will never change, so I hope he does make good choices in his future, and choose a woman who accepts him for who he is.

And just yesterday, she (Jackie) had responded to a critical post on their FB page by saying only Kate was going to be at the rummage sale, and not the kids. Now turns out the kids will be there working after all, working to support their worthless mother.
And I just heard the news about Honey Boo Boo's mother dating a convicted sex offender and what is even worse - she knew him and the victim both at the times these crimes occurred. How despicable can a mother be??? There is something quite wrong with that woman, and I hope that her married daughter stays out of state with her new husband and does not bring her little baby around June or her pedophile sex offender boyfriend. I think her underage children ought to be removed from her care as well. Disgusting. No excuse.

I totally agree. After using her kids for years, she still can not do any filming without them. The kids (who most people actually care about) have actually been her drawl and she will never stop filming them as she is a narcissist who wants to keep her mug out there, with little thought of how this impacts her kids. It's all about Kate!
Berks County does not have a Health Department. Food Safety is regulated there by the PA Department of Agriculture.They do not issue Permits for one day events, but they also do not allow food made in a private home to be sold to the public. The exception is baked goods, which must be labelled as having been made in a home. Salad made at home would not be allowed by PDA if they were aware of it.
PDA has their inspections online and the church does not appear to have a food license either. If they did, and the food was made in that kitchen, they would be covered but as TFW described the event, it is illegal.
When I was talking about the UStream to live stream, I don't want to see the kids! Just kate acting like the a we all know she is.

Baloney. I'm fairly confident that the cost of renting a home with a yard for dogs in rural PA would have been lower than his Manhattan apartment. He made CHOICES that included returning the dogs to the breeder; he was not left without another option.

How do you know that Jon has not filed motions or other paperwork with the family law court from time to time, trying to modify child custody or otherwise have a say in his children's lives. I'd like to point out that he did file a motion to try to prevent Kate from taking the children to Australia for filming, and he lost that motion. So maybe he has learned to choose his battles. The judge has made his position fairly clear - he thinks traveling even as far away as Australia for filming is okay. What makes you think that judge would find filming the kids in their hometown at a rummage sale would be unacceptable?
You make it sound as if Jon doesn't care about his kids, and has made zero efforts to have some say so and more involvement in their lives. But the facts do not support this conclusion. Rather, they show that Jon has made attempts that were unsuccessful.
I can almost guarantee that TFW will not be making any of the salads. Food services will prepare and package the salads (dressing on the side thank you ver much) and they will look like the pre-packaged salads that you get at the grocery store. Did she actually say that she'd be making the salads or did she use Katespeak and say that they'd also have "Kate salads" for sale? As far as any of the food goes, wouldn't she have to have a disclaimer saying that they were made in a kitchen where nuts have been used? Peanut butter counts too. So if she makes PB cookies and then uses the same cookie sheet to bake sugar cookies and doesn't wash it first, that's cross contamination to someone with a nut allergy.

I have never done landlord-tenant stuff, but in my neighborhood a couple years ago there was a long overdue eviction. An older woman had bought a home for herself and her grandson (that she was raising because the parents were either druggies or in jail). Sadly, she got cancer and so her ex moved in "to help." She put the home into a trust for the grandson. After she died, the ex continued to live there as guardian of the grandson, but the ex was a lifelong bum. Long story short - he had been using the funds the State provided for a disabled brother who lived in the home to pay the space rent. When the brother was moved to a nursing home, he couldn't pay the rent, and this went on for at least a year.
The owner of the park could not enter the premises. He had to evict him through the courts and it supposedly cost $2,000 to do so. Even after that, it's the Sheriff's Dept. who posts the eviction notice on the door. After a set period of time (I think it was one week), the Sheriff's Office then returned and put a padlock on the doors.
(So if you have a landlord that tells you he/she can enter at any time - they are probably breaking the law.)

I planned and purchased a lovely dog that was very expensive. I loved the puppy very much and he was a delight. He developed a terrible jaw alignment problem that would require surgery and the loss of 4 permanent teeth. The vet said even with a 2K surgery he would likely have eye issues and eating/digestive issues for the rest of his life. He had a 2 yr health guarantee and the breeder agreed to take him back. I struggled so much with that decision. I loved that little boy. But I paid for a very breed, and I paid for the guarantee. I am still in contact with the breeder. They kept the little guy because of his issues and they have told me at any time I am first on their list for another pup of I choose. They never considered what I did as abandonment. Nor did I.

If Kate needed to get rid of unwanted clutter, fine...we all do this. There are several places int the area that will come to your house, load up everything and take it to charity, whether it's the food bank, furniture bank, or what have you. Why on God's green earth couldn't she have done this without fanfare and flourish, publicity, armed FBI agents and everything else? You donate quietly to charity and you don't act as the ringmaster and put your kids in the circus act yet another time.

As soon as I read your post, I turned to CNN. The talking heads are saying that the student gunman is dead, and they are wondering if there is more gunmen. Student gunman was a popular student, but recently the victim of bullying. Looks like the bullies need to think twice about bullying somebody. They are getting killed.
The police are now going to classroom to classroom finding kids and getting them out. The kids are getting on buses and taken to a local church to reunite with their parents.

I think you're right Admin, this was the perfect opportunity to dump the aging Shirley Temple. It had gotten to the point where they weren't doing a regular show but rather 4/5 specials - which, coincidentally, is what TFW seems to be doing now. TLC's talent is all interchangeable. I'm waiting for the other LPBW twin to get married and then the brothers and their brides can have a show together. You know it's going to happen sooner or later. Once TLC gets some new shows lined up TFW will be put back in mothballs and only pulled out when they need filler. Note to TLC, if you want to continue to exploit kids why not have a kids only version of AGT or the Voice. Give some talented kids a chance to showcase themselves. If TFW thinks Mady is so all fired talented she can audition for the show and we'll see how far she goes.

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- A former editor for the TLC reality show 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' has been arrested for possessing child pornography.
According to the arrest report obtained by Radar Online, William Blankinship, 56, faces charges on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Blankenship was arrested on Oct. 21 in North Carolina as part of an FBI crackdown on sexual crimes against children. Two dozen other men were also arrested.
He was employed as a subcontractor by Figure 8 Films and has worked as an editor on some of TLC's top-rated family shows including "Jon & Kate Plus 8," "Kate Plus 8," "17 Kids and Counting" and "Table for 12."
Figure 8 Films released a statement saying Blankenship has since been fired.
"Bill Blankinship was employed by Serious Robots, with whom Figure 8 Films subcontract for editing services," the statement said. "At no time was this man ever in the field or in direct contact with any of the talent for any of our productions."
No bail amount has been set.
The only real reasons Kate is doing this yard sale is:
1. TLC paying for it. $40,000 an episode,
2. she got TLC to pay for a makeover/remodel/major construction,
3. to possibly get rid of old memories,
4. keep her mug on TV,
5. between her & TLC, tryin to show Kate has changed,
6. the BS of the animal shelter donation was to make Kate look like a caring animal lover, (if she truely cared, she would donate all the money made to the shelter) and that she is not GREEDY. Cause it came out of the blue!
Kate is tryin to come off as a loving & caring mother of 8 count them 8 and an concerned person of animals.
People, save your yourself, donate directly to that animal shelter, don't buy Kates used mediocre junk. Besides Kate did not say how much, only a portion. I would not waste my money on her used junk!
The only thing that puzzles me is why TLC would go ahead and film an upcoming season (whether it was only 4 or 5 "special" episodes or enough for a weekly show), only to put them on a shelf. Whatever the situation, they are most certainly throwing June to the wolves. They are not happy with her, at all. Meanwhile, she's on her daughter's FB page, claiming that this is all untrue. But she did kick SB to the curb recently - perhaps because this guy was going to be getting out of prison soon?

Kate is a Twit - Thanks for the link to Kate's Salad. OMG, I didn't realize how original it was(snark)! Knowing that she tends to undercook chicken it concerns me that it's got chicken in it. Even without the chicken if not chilled properly the whole salad would be cause for concern. I guess no one ever taught chef Kate that since oil and vinegar don't really mix they will eventually separate. However if you add a small amount of Dijon mustard it will serve as a good emulsifier and will stabilize the dressing and help it hold together. Because you've added an emulsifier you won't have to mix it in the food processor (WTH?) and shaking it in the jar will work just fine.
There is no way in hell Kate baked anything herself to sell at this shindig. No.Way.In.Hell.
TLC will come up with the "baked goods". And probably the salads. Those poor, production assistants...

Speaking of salad dressing, how is that going to work? If you dress the salad too much in advance it will be absolute mush in less than an hour's time. Yes. The reason I ask is because CPS is the one going to do a real thorough investigation into whether the OTHER parent, Mama June, is safe to parent her children. The results of that investigation, if all parties agree to disclose it, could have informed TLC about whether they are making the right call here taking Mama June's show away or whether they are acting in haste to do so.
A parent who is the significant other of the child molester CAN keep their children, but they need to demonstrate that they in no way allowed or turned a blind eye to the abuse, they cannot intent to stay with the perp now or in the future, they have to be committed to protecting their child from any other abuse now or in the future, and they often have to be willing to do therapy or other services in order to maintain custody.
That's a lot of things to fall into place and mess anything up and those kids are gone.

Honey Boo Boo’s mother has taken up with a convicted sex offender…again…after leaving her unmarried partner who has served time for child abuse. A 13 year-old cast member of “Dance Moms” has filed a lawsuit against the adult participants of this misbegotten telecast whose abuse of Minors is manifestly obvious in episode after episode. Conduct that would not be tolerated in our nation’s classrooms is broadcast daily on ‘reality shows’ and no one blows the whistle. Prepubescent girls, professionally costumed “princesses” under the direction of so-called adults, utter profanities in the viral “FckH8” videos in the name of sexual equality and no one steps in to protect the child that is inside the performer.
What kind of Society can survive this wanton blindness?
Schools suck. Our streets aren’t safe. Sex tapes launch profitable careers. Politicians lie without consequences or remorse. Courts are riddled with indicted predators that lust after children. National organizations like NMBLA (National Man/Boy Love Association) maintain their tax-exempt status. Sovereign States continue to lure entertainment production companies by advertising their absence of child labor laws. Unregulated beauty pageants emphasizing pole-dancing children flourish world-wide while the adults who profit from the enterprise (let alone the smarmy titillated audience) manage to avoid finger-printing, background checks and accountability.
A Minor Consideration has been telling you for years that Society’s failure to address the in-your-face debasement of childhood will have consequences. Well Folks, here we are.

Jackie meets Kate once or twice and pronounces her as "real"? Well, like Jackie, I've also noticed upon meeting a person for the first time, that they are real. Sometimes, I like a person very much upon first meeting. But on occasion, after spending time with that person, I learn what their real personality is like. Food - here, you can have a bake sale or sell food in certain situations without any kind of permit, as long as the ingredients are listed on most items (but not all). Otherwise there would be no Amish stands, etc. The ingredient requirement is actually fairly recent. Possibly the same there. Kind of a "buyer beware" thing.

This may be premature, but I've never been "Team June" in the way that people hold her above Kate because she always said the money was for HBB's "college fund" etc.

Yes, it's like all logic and reason have gone out the window --
allowing children to be exploited for profit, without thinking of
the consequences down the line. For all eternity, this phrase

a say in the matter. I'm not saying this will scar the kid for life,
but multiplied by many seasons (that's right, TFW, you lived
your life in seasons - own it!), it bloody well might.
Too often, it seems reality TV producers have been in the business of handing worldwide platforms to dubious people in questionable circumstances. They shrug off criticisms of their high-wire TV acts and cross their fingers, hopeful that their "stars" won't implode until — like the bitter divorce between Jon and Kate Plus 8 stars Jon and Kate Gosselin — their shows are already in decline. She is up at the crack of dawn, which tickles me no end. But I feel bad, really bad, for the kids, who've work hard at school all week & deserve a sleep-in on Saturday morning.

I totally forgot about it being dark at 7 am. Daylight savings won't start until next week so these are some of the darkest mornings of the year.

There are just piles and piles of junk there. And I see all the carseats dumped on a table. As others have said, public service announcement. NEVER buy a carseat USED.

Exactly. I think Tucker said when you're outdoors browsing on a crisp fall morning, you crave cider, coffee, a cinnamon donut, something warm. I would suggest a warm burrito, a panini, or something else that travels well while you walk around.
I love salads, but it's not something I want to mess around with while browsing a yard sale. It's messy to carry around and hard to eat without a table.

In the radio interview yesterday, Kate said something like "once it gets to the yard sale, it's not coming back".
How much you want to bet that anything that is left(which will probably be a lot) after filming is completed will THEN be donated. I can even here Kate making the announcement on the show.
She couldn't donate everything right off, because then they wouldn't have a plot for the show.
I saw Steve in the last of those three pictures that were posted. Figured it would be dark at 7..she's up that time every day supposedly, so why start a sale at that time, when it doesn't get light until almost 8:00.
The write off she could take for giving all that junk giving it to a women's shelter or something similar that will accept a wide variety of items, would be astronomical. I'm thinking several thousands of dollars, and ten times less work.

If it were TLC who set most of it up, which I bet it was, they did a terrible job. The tables are crammed full of stuff. It looks cluttered and disorganized. It only adds to the "junk" feel of the sale. There are boxes out on the tables. Why don't you take things out of the boxes for display and put the boxes UNDER the table?

You know what the bottom line is about this is that TLC should have thoroughly vetted this family back in the day. Then they would have seen their close ties to a CONVICTED criminal and they would have seen it was a crime against children. Then, they never should have had them sign on the dotted line. Do they care about this, absolutely not. They care they got CAUGHT. I haven't heard a single word from TLC about how exactly they intend on ensuring this never happens again. They just want this to go away, so they hand over a pink slip, throw in something trite about how they will get the child therapy, and try to get people to forget this ever happened. They are really terrible.
