The notorious Arizona eatery featured on Kitchen Nightmares is in the news again. This time because of a viral video which appears to show one of the owners, Samy Bouzaglo, chasing after a customer with a weapon. His wife Amy in turn calls the customer a "piece of sh** coward."
Samy and Amy say the patron was drunk, and that Samy had a pen in his hand, not a knife.
Should such volatile and unstable people be cast on reality T.V. in the first place?

Gosh Everyone, thanks so much for your support. I don't have much family, one sister only, and was babysitting 2 dogs at the time, plus my own dog. My dear friend lost everything--all house possessions--in a home fire about 15 years ago. I went to help her afterward. Everything was black, gray and melted as she tried to list all she had lost for the insurance company. Like you, she also picked up and moved on. What I learned from her was that the best things in her life--her husband, sons, and dogs--all survived. The rest could be replaced.

OT: Just finished watching the documentary $ellebrity. Gives an insider's take on how a celebrity becomes a brand and how much that brand is protected by PR, photos etc. A lot of it is about the paparazzi and how some famous people call them to set up staged photos etc. Many celebrities talk about the ill effects it has on their children being known and recognized just because of their parents. Very worthwhile and only about 90 minutes! :)

Border Collie, I am so glad you and the animals got out safely. You have a great attitude, and all the material things (except for sentimental items) can be replaced. It will come together eventually. I just did the opposite, cleaning out a filthy place/messy estate to move my mom and clear up her deceased husband's affairs, and thought I wouldn't survive, but it is over, and yours will be too. As with most trials, we can look back on it as a memory, albeit a bad one, as we move forward and away from that temporary bump in the road. You might even derive some joy from picking out new things for your new life. Hopefully! Take care!

I have a feeling Kate tried to wrangle Jamie into being her Tweetie buddy so they could banter back and forth on a medium that would get picked up by Radar etc.
There's nothing in it for Jamie. She'll never get enough followers to leverage Twitter for freebies or publicity or mentions on gossip mags and sites.

Not with TFW. When she is on twitter silence it means one of two things: either Jon has the kids and her and Ratclaws are having some alone time or she is pimping out the kids for filming.
Given the teaser tweets over the last month I bet they are filming a remodeling. The dehumidifier spilling water was the initial clue, TFW is going to use that as an excuse to justify TLC paying for fixing up separate rooms for the twins now that they are 14. Look for that episode to be included in the short season airing in December. I'm sure Frigidaire is going to be real happy their product will get the blame for ruining TFW's basement even though we all know she likely just dropped the bucket and the handle broke when it hit the floor.

Just got back from a week in NY City. I fell in love with your city, America. I have never felt so safe in a city before. Even in the subways. It seems police are on every block which gives such a feeling of security. They stand there giving you the friendly wave and are always happy to have their photo taken. We stayed in mid Manhatten. Well worth paying the extra money for the accommodations. I was so glad to see admin did not update anything in my absence. LOL.

Yes, Paper Plates Forever, Yea!, it does get better over time. Was in 19 and that has been 13 years ago when it was stopped. The fallen one has mellowed some and seems remorseful and for the last several years when I have seen him, he can't look me straight in the eye and holds his head down.
I forgave him when it happened and that released the stress and burden of resentment I had. In doing that, it gave me the strength to go on and with my family and all the new people I have met along the way has given me a wonderful humor!

It's a shame that she seems to have nobody in her circle that can intervene and deal with these mental health issues. My heart goes out to her children and I really hope that they can emerge from this unscathed.

Lynne, I think that what you're missing with her is that her goal IS ''emotional hurt'' to her targeted person! Her mental state is so skewed that she sees nothing wrong with her despicable behavior because it meets her need to HURT her target with words. In her deluded state, if she doesn't draw emotional blood, then she has failed and that requires even more deranged comments.
There may have been a time when intervention would have been successful, but I fear she has fallen so far down the mental illness rabbit hole that there is no hope for her as long as she has access to a computer.

Milo is beyond redemption. It is all about Kate, as it is for a few other fans. It is sad and disgusting, that no matter what happens to someone else, Milo glorified Kate.
I am totally convinced that the few "real" fans (not purchased) see her for what she is, but enjoy seeing the kids, refuse to abandon their star worship for personal reasons, and don't have too much going on in their lives.
I have no animous towards them, but feel sorry that they believe everything they see on "reality tv" even when the STAR has acted like a complete selfish, greedy, overwhelmed, dramatic, whining ass. They will NEVER realize that the Queen's behavior and choices are all about Kate.

Maybe, but depending on the celebrity and how much she wants attention, I think that she might be game for almost anything from anyone who gives her a passing glance. That bathtub, though, isn't going to be large enough to accommodate all of her fantasy partners. Investing in a big hot tub/spa might be a good choice.

I found it using your link. Once I was on the right page, I used the "find" function. Most browsers have a one; look on the edit menu. Once you choose find, there will be a place for you to enter the text you're looking for; in this case I entered #allhealthy. Using "find" saves a LOT of eyestrain.

Milo (at the time, she only went by "Fired Up 4 Kate") began posting on the Gosselin Family fansite around the end of 2009. I remember because I first began following Kate during the summer of 2009 when Kate and Jon were all over the celebrity news.
I was still a newbie at all this and had begun reading the fansite blog when Fired Up started posting there. I still remember her first comment. She said that all the negative press for Kate had her "Fired Up" so much that she wanted to defend Kate. She struck me as odd pretty much immediately.
Nina's radio show was sometime after that. Good old Gladys was well established and a regular on the fansite by then. The hens over there were clucking and all excited about the whole thing.
I recall that the show was before Twitter. Nina had gone from being a hero on the fansite to a villain by the time Twitter came along. I would hazard a guess--Nina's show was around the spring of 2010. I remember sitting in my car waiting for my kids' piano lessons to be over. With nothing better to do, I tuned in. Fired Up had a southern twang and drawl.
Gladys didn't start using MiloandJack as her additional handle until she got on Twitter right after Kate did. Kate was her SOLE reason for getting on Twitter--she said as much. She had no idea how to use it but was determined to learn because the idea of direct contact with Kate excited her so much.
That is probably more than anyone ever wanted to know about Milo's history with Kate, lol.

Fired Up/Milo entered the picture later than I thought--August 2010. Note the folksy tone has not emerged yet. In fact, she sounds downright mean. Somewhere along the way, she commented that she chose the name because she was so fired up, but it wasn't this first comment.
Nina's radio show was in October 2010, apparently.

I guarantee that these so-called events seen through the eyes of some one impartial would have been reported entirely different. Well, is this real or memorex? it seems the Star rag mag is reporting that Jon got evicted from his home for not paying rent and bouncing checks and getting fired from his job? Now is this true or is this PR crap from Kates camp!? Or one of her lackeys going to bat for Kate? After all, there are almost 2 months, before K8 specials, and Kate has been very quiet, and has made no appearances on any talk show yet. I guess, she has to keep her name out there so no one will forget the specials to come in December. I'm sure Kate will film the crap out of the kids, the weekend coming, since they have a 4 day weekend. Poor kids, can't even just have a normal day off.
On another note, can't understand why TLC could not put K8 on now, when they had just run the Duggar recent episodes for the 6th time. TLC must not have any good programming, if they keep running stuff that has been on 6 times already.
Yay for Paper Plates--You are not alone. I am going through the divorce process, too. after 34 years of marriage. There is nothing good to say about it--it just sucks. I believe that there will be better times ahead and I look forward to the day when it is not the first thing I think about in the morning, and the last thing at night. Not to mention the dreams about it in between! The Serenity Prayer has helped me get throught the toughest parts: God (higher power, universe, etc) grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

Not an idiot at all. I just think the find function is the greatest thing since K's bread maker that makes sliced bread, and everybody should learn to use it! If you're using find on a twitter page you may still need to scroll to the last displayed tween and then scroll again to make it "fetch" more tweets.

While I have not gone through a divorce, my husband passed away, and he is the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing when I close my eyes at night. I dream that he's still here, helping me care for the kids. The pain doesn't go away, especially when I come to terms with the fact that he won't be here to see them graduate, go off to college, get married and have children of their own. When this happens, you have to be both Mom and Dad for them. It hurts big time, and while you know that the void in your life will not go away, you just hope that you will emerge from that pit of despair in which Plates finds herself. That's what keeps you going...the hope that at some point it gets better.

A blog is a community of people around a common theme usually. A friendship is not a community, it is a relationship. When you speak to the blog you're speaking to the group and generally it's something the whole group can and should hear. Even if it's to offer best wishes or sympathy or kudos to one specific person, it's done in a manner that the whole group hears because it's a community that supports each other. But you don't use a blog to tell a friend something that's just between the two of you, like it's your personal e-mail exchange. You pick up the phone and text or call them. To do otherwise suggests you want to flaunt something about the situation. Perhaps you want people to know that you have friends, that you are so cool that you have a cool bestie girlfriend, that you have a social life, or whatever your motive is. I suspect for Kate it's all of that, because deep down she is incredible insecure and has a constant need to prove that she is not just the perfect mother but the perfect girlfriend.
In fact whenever people here start to move into the realm of more personal communications between two people, they have recognized it's better to take it off blog and asked me to exchange their email addresses. This has happened a dozen times or more. I'm not sure how the two can be compared.

Franky - one of my earliest memories is of hiding a book under my bed so that I could read when I was supposed to be taking a nap. Sure didn't mind being sent to my room! The last Wouk book I read was 'Don't Stop the Carnival'. Have not read Demon Seed by Dean Koontz so that's not the book that I can't remember (but I will have to check that one out - thanks!). All I can recall about it is a teenage girl & her brother and spores that are released in her mother or father's lab.
