TLC announces Kate Plus 8 will return in December

TLC posted the following press release on their site:
You watched Kate Gosselin plan the sextuplets' 10th birthday bash in June (and have an epic meltdown) and now you can follow your favorite oversized family on their summer vacation and into the new school year. "Kate Plus Eight" will return to TLC in December with all-new episodes! This time around, Kate and her eight growing kids will travel to Boston and explore different parts of New England on a family vacation.
You'll also see the kids rounding out the final days of summer with fun activities, while Kate preps the household for another school year. Teenagers Cara and Mady start 8th grade, and the sextuplets you know and love -- Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel -- are beginning 4th grade. We can't wait to see the kids prepare for pencils, books and maybe even teachers' dirty looks, while balancing their time between friends and siblings. And you can be we'll see more classic Kate moments and funny banter from the outspoken kids.

5000+ squre feet is very big to huge.
There's no way Kate could take care of it herself, even if she wanted to, which she certainly doesn't.
I think Kate cleans up after her kitchen messes from time to time, but toilets?
No f'ing way.

Kate fritters away in that house, making lists and "organizing" while she's not barking out orders and making a mess in the kitchen.

Our house is <3000 square feet and it's more than enough for us and our dogs.
It's also quite a lot to keep up with cleaning-wise, so we have cleaners 2x per month, and they do in a couple hours what would take me all day long to do (and then be laid up with back pain!).

For us to get a McMansion, common in Kate's region (bye bye farm land), we'd have to move outside the city by an hour, and that's without traffic!
We'd be able to afford a lot more out there, but no thank you!

I look at home prices in other areas of the country and either laugh or sigh...

When I read the stuff against Jon that comes from Kate's camp (or most likely Kate herself), I've got to say she must HATE Jon with with a dark, deep passion. There is something seriously wrong with her. Jon is not perfect, but he's not evil either. I don't see how she thinks a smear campaign from anonymous minions makes her look like the bigger person. It is clear Kate is orchestrating the attacks on Jon. Of course the guy will say and has said repeatedly he does not want the kids filmed but she has to add the blackmail aspect to it. That has Kate written all over it.

Either TLC paid for all of the back to school items, which is a pittance to them, or she had to pay for their tuition out of the kids fund. And she said it hurt, if TLC didn't pay the tuition. She means it hurt her, not her kids. I believe she doesn't want any of them to go to college or culinary, vet, dental or what ever higher school of learning so she can be the beneficiary of the money for her.

She wants to film them forever for the money.

But, OTOH, I wonder if she tried to get them to pay their tuition in full for the year or at least a percentage of it while they are being filmed because it is a back to school special. Maybe they refused and that is why she said it hurt.

Too bad she didn't think of suggesting to TLC that she would go back to school instead of involving the kids! They would pay her tuition and Steve (getting paid, of course) could sit with her in class and she could doodle on her notebooks (journals) big round hearts with kate loves steve! Can you imagine lunch in the cafeteria?

PJ, you make very good points. I am coming off almost 6 months as executor of my stepdad's estate. He did nothing to prepare for his death, even though he was dying for years. My advice to everyone the past 6 months is to be sure you have "pay on death" or beneficiaries (or co-owners) of your bank accounts. My mom was not on her accounts. If you have assets such as car or house, be SURE your partner's name is on the registration/title/deed. He didn't do that either. I am closing in on $5000 in attorney fees to get a simple estate resolved and closed, which would have ALL been unnecessary if just those two things were done. People don't think about bank accounts and asset division, but if someone dies, the family cannot pay bills if their names on not on the bank accounts. Nor can they sell assets like cars to be rid of the expense of them. It can be a mess. A big one!
And of course, the medical directives are extremely important too. He did have those. If he was here, I'd give him CPR and kill him again! Nobody should have to go through this to get family (spouse, partner) what is rightfully theirs.

88888888888888888888888888888888

I've settled 4 estates so far, and assisted with two others, and thankfully I was able to work with the people long before their deaths to make sure all their ducks were in a row. No lawyers fees, no probate to file and a smooth transition of assets. I worked for a financial advisor, so I had seen enough horror stories to make sure I wasn't left in that position.

I hear what you're saying about your step-father. LOL

I've been thinking about how Kate thinks--yes, I know that's dangerous.

People in show business, i.e., Kathy Griffin, Anderson Cooper, Brad Garrett, etc. have put her down and made her the butt of her jokes. Yet, she follows some of them on twitter. Apparently, that is not considered "bullying".

But when the mediocre non-fans put her down, making almost the jokes about her, call her out, etc. she considers that "bullying" and engages BV to help her put them down.

So if a celeb puts her down, that's okay in her book, because that means she's getting attention from the world she wants to be a part of. But if an ordinary, non-celeb, person puts her down, that's "bullying".

I guess in Kate's world, it all depends on WHO does the "bullying".

It simple imo.

1. Celeb joking about the WOS= gains attention for the WOS and she loves attention.+ The celeb you mention are bigger than WOS and she only fights the little guys.-(IE non fans Jon Robert her family)-

2.The normal mediocre people that talk about the WOS= no attention + she getting put down by normal folks. And the WOS can't have that.

Regarding Joan Rivers. I never really was a fan; didn't have an opinion one way or the other. I'd listen to her on late night television, and went to see her show. Of course I laughed, some of the things were very funny. However, when I heard her 9/11 widow jokes, that did it for me. It's something that you just don't joke about. The sarcasm was cruel, nasty and just totally something that shouldn't have been uttered...from anyone. There is no question that she had an amazing work ethic and never stopped, but in the case of 9/11, there should have been restraint showed, and I guess that she just couldn't stop herself from going there.

Kate is a Twit @ 40 - You're absolutely right. I seem to remember a picture of TFW yucking it up with Steve at a Brad Garrett show in Las Vegas. Didn't she go out for her birthday? I don't recall that she called Kathy Grififn a hater or bully when she did that whole spoof on TFW. I guess the truth sugar coated in all in good fun (read that as done by a celebrity) makes a difference to her.

Speaking of Joan Rivers--remember the girl, Laney Brown, the girl from Reading, who passed away from cancer last year at Christmas? Kate didn't seem to care about a girl and family in her own backyard, yet Joan Rivers threw her support to the cause, just because it was a good cause. They reached out to Joan, and Joan reached back.

Meanwhile, all Kate is concerned about is how "hard" she has it.

If TFW spent around $250 per kid, then she would expend $2,000 getting them ready for back to school. I think it would be fairly easy to hit that number, if you have to purchase 2 new school uniforms per kid, at least one new pair of shoes, new backpacks for each one, plus binders, paper, pens and pencils, and assorted other classroom supplies.

****************

Add textbooks on top of that. If they are bought and not secured on loan (from Chegg or other outlet), you're looking at about $500 to $800 per child for the books, depending on grade level and courses taken. Did TLC pay for those books?

The outpatient clinics aren't all bad. My last gastroenterology practice had one. There was an anaesthesiologist (doctor) there in the clinic. He talked to each patient to go over things and do the consent form. Then in each procedure room for colonoscopy or endoscopy there was a nurse anaesthetist. The anaesthesiologist was not more than about 3 procedure rooms away. And they were small rooms. I always felt safe there. They knew how to do life saving measures.

I second the PSA up above. Every adult, no matter your age, needs a Power of Attorney, a Will, a Living Will, and a Healthcare Power of Attorney.

Very interesting discussion on that board handinhand and that's exactly why I opted for going to the hospital for my colonoscopy rather than having it done in the doctor's office. I wanted to ensure that a real anesthesiologist was present when I went under.
-----------------------------------------------------
This is probably OT, but I think many people would be surprised to learn how frequently a CRNA (nurse anesthetist) not an anesthesiologist is the one caring for them. I got to spend a day in the OR as part of my schooling. I saw 5 surgeries with 5 different surgeons. Every single one was done from start to finish with a CRNA. An anesthesiologist (the same one) came in for a few minutes, but that's it. I saw the anesthesiologist speaking to two of the patients while they were still in pre-op. (I don't know if the CRNA spoke with them in pre-op separately from the anesthesiologist because I wasn't with them for their entire stay in pre-op.)

I got to see 2 c-sections and an epidural during my OB rotation. The epidural was done solely by a CRNA. The meds for the c-sections were given by an anesthesiologist.

I was also able to see a patient receive ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) during my mental health rotation. An anesthesiologist administered the anesthesia and muscle relaxant.

So your best bet in my area to get an actual anesthesiologist is to either have a c-section or get ECT lol

I agree with many here that liking Joan Rivers' act and programs was a love/hate situation. I'm sorry that she didn't survive her procedure but it appears that she was surrounded by family and close friends.

I also must encourage everyone to do a basic will, power of attorney for health care and trust, if you're of a mind. My mother had those done over 20 years ago and when she passed 15 months ago it was easy to deal with the estate (plus she had already sold her home). I was an authorized signer on her bank and brokerage accounts so taking care of final details was uneventful.

Since that time my younger sister and I had many, many discussions about setting up the same things for herself divorced, 3 years younger than me). I told her the health power was the first thing, then the others could follow. Long story short: In June she saw an attorney, had the paperwork done, signed, sealed in July. Her home funded her trust. She was had other financial account paperwork finished - signed, notarized, etc., but not yet in the trust. She died suddenly August 1. We're all struggling with her passing but she was prepared and her children will not have to deal with probate.

Two weeks before my husband and I were maried 16 years ago we had all the documents set up so we're cool. I made sure my kids know exactly what I want beyond what is in the paperwork.

I've recently discovered that the ridiculous recipe questions aren't limited to sheeple. I've been trying to cook more homemade meals instead of boxed crap lately, so I've been searching for recipes online. I usually skim the comments to see if there are any tips and to see if people actually like the recipe once they make it. Based on some of the questions I don't think some people should be allowed to preheat their oven without supervision. Here are some I've seen:

I'm deathly allergic to peanuts. Do you think I should eliminate the peanut butter in this recipe?

I don't like any of the 10 ingredients you used. Can I substitute these 10 ingredients? And if so, how long should I cook it?

How many weight watchers points is this? How many servings is this? (These are both frequently seen questions on a healthy recipe website where points and servings are listed below every single recipe.) How many points would it be if I substituted this list of healthy ingredients for this list of other ingredients?

Should I cook the chicken before I use it in chicken salad?

Can I peel the potatoes using a knife instead of a peeler?

I really thought stupid recipe questions were a sheeple thing until I started reading the comments on recipes. Now I'm a little more afraid for humanity.

I don't want to hear "This recipe is excellent, 5 stars! but I didn't have cinnamon, so I used nutmeg, I wanted low fat so I substituted apple sauce for the oil, I used whole wheat flour to make it healthier... blah, blah, blah.

It was not f-ing die, it was "eat sh&t and die", which as was explained at the time, is an incredibly common expression that if you listen, you will hear all the time. Like "I want to punch you in the face" is also an expression and does not usually mean you literally want to act violently toward another person.

You can debate whether these expressions are too nasty or not, but they are indeed expressions. Why this is so hard to grasp I have no idea.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

On another note, Jon was upset because the mother of his children was not allowing him to speak to him for over two weeks. I would find it bizarre for a parent not to be upset over such a thing. I would hope you would be, and I would not at all be surprised if somebody let their anger out in such a moment. He didn't punch a wall for heaven sake, he said a common, common expression when you are frustrated with someone.

When Kate expresses utter and complete hatred toward her children's father, she never seems to give a clear reason why. It's hate for hates sake, and hatred without good reason is classic parental alienation. Parental alienators can never explain why they hate the other parent so much, we just must take their word for it the other parent is evil. Frustration and snapping because the other parent is manipulative and stomping all over you is not parental alienation, it's just frustration. It may not SOUND pleasant but at least it's understandable.

I think they both have some growing up to do in terms of co-parenting, but it's really astounding how far and away Kate is from him in terms of parental alienation. He's on Earth, she's on Mars.

I had never seen it and since I had read a lot about it in various Robin tributes I decided the next time it aired I'd watch it. It's airing several times this weekend on HBO Family. Direct TV users like myself are getting a free HBO preview, so check, you can see it!

I had already DVRed it earlier today for yesterday's showing. I was at the Dodger game all night but when I came home I turned it on for about 10 minutes right before bed. I was too tired to watch much else but I was immediately struck by how incredible the cinematography was. I'm really looking forward to it. As I recall the movie got pretty bad reviews when it first came out, but it was one of those movies that has done a lot better with age, like good wine.

&&&&

Right. You can't assume just because you go to a hospital you are definitely getting someone more qualified than the staff at a clinic. In some cases, your care at a clinic may even be better than what you would get in a hospital setting. It just depends. For various procedures in a hospital, you may find yourself left alone for long periods of time. Of course you're always being monitored and someone will be there when machines go off, but there's not necessarily a lot of hand holding. One reason people prefer clinics and smaller facilities for things like obstetrics or plastic surgery is you tend to get a lot more attention and if you're going through something very painful or scary, more support and encouragement.

I absolutely believe you that some clinics are sub-par. Not all though, IMO. Some, I believe very strongly, are BETTER than hospitals. I don't know where Joan's clinic fell on the spectrum, but I'd bet my bottom dollar they're going to pass this investigation just fine. She is elderly and went into cardiac arrest and passed away. The other thing about this is that bringing up what somebody else is doing or not doing, is irrelevant to the point. The proposition is put forth that Kate is a parental alienator who hates Jon. It's irrelevant to that point what Jon is, the greatest dad in the world or just as big of a parental alienator as she is. Completely irrelevant. Take a basic debate class.

But when you got nothing, the only other thing you can do is throw out red herrings and try to confuse the issue. Instead of addressing the actual point made, head on.

I agree that that's probably true but in my case, the anesthesiologist came and introduced himself to me and when they wheeled me in to the procedure room he was there and spoke to me again right before he administered the drugs. lol, admin. Same here. Milo is so predictable that she's really boring. She's a one-trick pony and lusts after one person and one person only,

This other person, however, is interesting. I would love to talk to her to find out what makes these people "tick." What's her agenda? What does she hope to accomplish? The minor celebs are her best buddies, seems she really gets around to various events, seeking them out, tweeting them for shout outs, wanting to have lunch with them. This is the kind of behavior that's expected with a "groupie," and a much younger person. She seems to enjoy the comedians in particular, but also talk show hosts. The psychology of it all is fascinating to me.

The sad thing about all of this, though, is that these celebs meet hundreds of fans and don't care one bit about her, or what time she is leaving for an event, where she is going to be, where she is sitting, that she has arrived, where she parked the car, etc. Either she really doesn't understand this, or doesn't care. What's important to her is breathing the same air, perhaps getting her picture taken with them, and tweeting that they are best buddies forever. I wonder if her hair stylist, if she has one, gets an ear full and can't wait until the appointment is over!

Admin- I get what you are saying, and not debating you. I am sure that Jon is totally frustrated with Kate's parental alienation (probably more than we even know) but his proclamations on national tv may not have been to best way to address "the problem," on national tv.

The best thing that could happen, is if TFW is Court mandated into meetings with Jon with mediation, so the kids' interests are addressed, and some advice on how they can co-parent on behalf of the kids.

One parent is angry (and rightfully so), the other (wants to be THE super parent for television. We have all seen the interaction with both and know who the better parent is, but J's statements are not endearing. Mediation all the way, so they both stop talking out of their butts. And hold them BOTH accountable.

I will say that Family Court Judge probably originally "allowed " ongoing filming so "TFW" could support the kids with her current expenses. However, this does NOT preclude both parents meeting with a mediator, if TFW is intentionally alienating the kids from visiting with Jon. I know C,M, 3 boy tups, and A enjoyed visiting with him. So what has happened since the divorce and what would be a solution in arbitration, as well as as to challenge TFW WHY" the kids choose not to see Jon." I think this issue should be addressed by the Family Court Judge. The more time that goes by, the more the kids are alienated from Jon. For what reason?? If the problem is either TFW or Jon, the issue needs to be addressed, so they have 2 parents who support them.

When I was in junior high and high school, Home Economics was a class you HAD to take. We were taught how to cook, sew and so many other skills necessary to take care of ones self. Too bad they stopped these classes years ago!
***************************************************************
Ah yes, I remember "Home Ec" as we called it in 7th grade in 1971, all the girls had to take it. And what did I learn? That I was a terrible at sewing and only a little bit better at cooking but luckily by the time I really needed to learn and know it, it was better!

Formerly Duped said...

Home Ec- yes! We made tote bags with linings, very snazzy material, then clothing. I made a peasant dress, on trend then, which I wore to my piano recital and the neckline started to unravel right before I was next to go on stage. Lucky my mother had a safety pin- I always have one of those with me now- that's what Home Ec taught me! We also had one of those old ironing machines where you feed the towels etc through and I recall burning my hand on it. I was not too domestic in those days. Then the shop teacher offered to teach the girls what the boys learned, after school.(He was missing 2 fingers) I made a rickety little bookshelf of which I was very proud!

LoveMyGrandsons said...

I remember HomeEc in 1971. We didn't learn much cooking, though. Making spaghetti sauce from a packet and adding water; making sloppy joes using ground beef and canned sauce; etc.

We did the sewing thing and I HATE sewing. I flunked that semester because I never got farther than pin basting the lining onto the pattern. And I didn't care.

In the next semester, we swapped with the boys and they took HomeEc and the girls got Woodworking Shop. Now that I got into and got such a good grade it made up for my low grade in HomeEc.

It's funny, though, because now I LOVE to cook. Still hate sewing, though. This past weekend I sewed buttons on 6 blouses that have been hanging in the closet for months waiting for those missing buttons! LOL!!

I've carried the skills I learned in Home Ec with me to this very day. I really learned a lot. I also remember having to take a business class in junior high where we were taught to write checks and balance the check book. We learned how to budget and comparison shop for prices at the store. The class was about skills you needed for everyday life. It's too bad the schools don't offer these 'life lesson' classes anymore.

We had to set the table properly and the menu was decided upon by us, the students. We broke up into groups. There are basic things everyone needs to know. Even in this electronic age, 'old-fashioned' skills will always be needed.

I learned a lot in home ec too and like you so much of it has served me well to this day. I remember the first popovers I ever made in that class. We had home ec also in junior high. Being #7 out of 12 kids we all new how to sew and cook at a very young age. My mother always did the stove and oven part until we were at least in the 5th or 6th grade. I use to make my brothers their shirts, flat felled seems and all. At the time I was the oldest girl left at the house. I also made my niece her wedding gown with French seams. Don't mean to sound like Katie with the bragging, but that is how it was. A couple of times the teacher did not know how to do a certain seam and she would ask me to show her. That was so nice that my efforts were recognized. In late July our Mom would take 1 or 2 girls into the city to Newberry's where we got all the fabric. Then we had an ice cream sandwich with square crunchy waffles for the "bread" part. That sure was fun. The cooking part was tuna casserole, mac and cheese made with velveeta and assorted soups.

I took home ec for two years (middle school) in the late 90s. We did not cook very frequently (every other week I think) and usually cooked sides or desserts. We used recipes with a few inexpensive ingredients. I don't ever remember cooking any type of meat. I went to a very, very small school that didn't have many of the classes, sports, etc that bigger schools had, so I've always wondered if there just wasn't proper funding for home ec.

We did also take shop for a year. Our big project was to make a wooden clock. I was so proud of that silly thing.

I enjoy cooking more than I ever thought I would. I also really love that my son (10) is learning along with me. We've even come up with a few ideas on our own that were pretty delicious.

She helped organize a zumba benefit, but don't know whether she came at it from the Zumba side or knows the family that benefitted.

Zumba is dance/aerobics. It is done to mostly Latin music. It is a lot of fun, but can be very "bouncy", depending on the class. There's lots of variations, like Zumba gold (designed for age 50+, not as bouncy) and aqua zumba (done in waist-deep to shoulder-deep water, less bouncy because of the water provides resistance and support).

The thing is when you throw out a fake story, it needs to be logical and consistent. Jon has already said the kids don't want to film. He said so recently and repeatedly. Why in the world would this be any leverage for him when he's already let the cat out of the bag ages ago and many times? Makes no sense, but nice try anyway.

Tucker's Mom (#125), I never saw that Natalie Morales interview,
but I do remember when TFW had to do a VO over shots of the
kids at the park (I think it was when they had ice cream for dinner?).
She said something endearing about each girl, and then just
lumped A, J & C together, like, "oh, and the boys..." Kinda like
the first season of "Gilligan's Island" during the opening credits,
when the Professor and Maryann were just called "...and the rest."

I can remember TFW showing affection to J on the show once.
She and Jon were arguing over who would "get" J to sit next to
them on the plane, since he was the lowest maintenance. It was
decided he'd sit next to Mom, and she playfully grabbed him,
and I think even flipped him upside down and made him laugh.
But to me even that wasn't warm or sweet, as it was a reaction
to her getting her way, and having her life made easier by not
having to be saddled with one of the more "difficult" kids during
the plane ride.

In that same line if you notice, she describes her children very much in terms of how it relates to her.

In other words, she frequently describes them in terms of who is easiest for her, who is hardest for her, who is middle of the road. This kid is Mommy's helper, this kid defies me, this kid likes my painted toenails, this kid is always telling ME jokes and making ME laugh.

She is very light on their individual attributes separate and apart from HER. If you take her out of the equation, I'm not sure she could even describe these kids. In fact I feel like I don't really know these kids at all, other than by what they do and don't do for her majesty. While on the one hand that is a good thing, on the other it's extraordinarily surprising given they've been on T.V. for so long.

Well, she says she makes eggs for breakfast and I'm sure she does - when the cameras are in her house filming the not-so-special specials. She's not a morning person so I hardly believe she gets up and cooks a big breakfast every day. I'll lay odds there's a freezer full of Pop Tarts and Eggo waffles somewhere in that house. Wholewheat too cuz, ya know, they're healthier.

"What is that criss-cross patterned pancake doing in your freezer? And why doesn't your Mommy care about you enough to make
homemade organic pancakes, lovingly sliced with a pizza cutter,

Freezers are for free sides of beef, and cookies made 3 years

In my opinion, TFW favors the kids who go along with her crazy antics; (H) who help her in her missions. H is good at doing her parenting duties (ratting our siblings/bossing them around ) amongst the kids, which saves work for her. The boys are her puppets, who she believes should be doing "man work" at 10. Her expectations for the boys are similar to her expectations of Jon-unrealistic. But we know her nagging, and finding ways to manipulate them, as they are much younger. I feel saddest for C, as he has to live with her and her constant manipulation. I think he challenges her, but she uses that to her advantage in not seeing Jon- he misbehaved - yet he can go the farmer's house and help.

M & C - 2 different kids, but how she ever convinced them to go on national tv to support her is alarming. Most likely bribes for concerts, clothes, etc... but not sure. Her parental alienation along with her manipulation to get what she wants is astounding. She holds the purse strings for these kids as she is the primary custodian. Not sure what she says to them to "perfom" on her demand, but none of this is good.

What I see is a narcissistic mother who will do anything and everything to keep these kids filming, and to keep them away from Jon. As I have noted, Jon is not perfect, but IMO, he was more authentic and down to earth, and cared about the kids, while TFW was/is always about what would work best for HER.

I would love to see these kids polled separately by a family court Judge to see if any of them still want to film. Of course, TFW has probably groomed them on this topic, as they would NOT be able to attend their school, would need to move, would not be able to afford any extras, etc.. She really is a piece of work as none of this has to do with the kids, but rather TFW hanging on to her past life style.

Sadly, with her lack of current income, she will need to make some changes. She clearly said the kids were fully funded for college (great), but clearly does not want to get a job outside of TV and continues to whine about her income.

Her most famous words- "When any one does not want to film, we will stop." Rather, she got rid of Jon, who was standing in her way.

Who lives like this? With 8 kids? Her priorities have always been ME, ME, ME and not going to end well at all.

I remember on the very first special of Raising Sextuplets and Twins she went grocery shopping because they'd obviously been handed a blank check from the production company so it could be filmed. There was a boatload of Eggos in her cart. And that was when the kids were only two and six. Pffft. As if she's gotten less lazy over the years.

I hope there is never a picture posted of the real Milo, if the person indeed is nothing more than an obsessed "female" fan with a family. I imagine her as looking like a 50-year old blonde Imogene Coca.

Speaking of obsessed fans, I watched Investigation Discovery's Dead on Arrival last night...the story of Rebecca Schaeffer, the actress who was murdered by an obsessed, disgruntled fan. He had stalked her for three years, found her address through the CA DMV, and shot her at her home. One of the commentators on the show said that there is a fine line between admiration and obsession, and one never knows when the obsession will become dangerous and even deadly if the fan is ignored. In her case, she was young and inexperienced, and opened the door to this person. It was an interesting account of this young actress. I really hadn't know the details of the case, other than that the fan had tried to get close to her several times.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel what ROL published from their "source" is grounds to sue. If I was publicly accused of blackmail, I would demand a public apology, retraction or follow up with a suit. I know there are those here who think Jon is taking the high road by remaining silent, but silence when your reputation is being smeared implies what is being reported is true.

I'd sue the pants off them this time. Yes, he's remained quiet, but this is different. ROL has printed stories that could be taken with a grain of salt, kind of benign tattling if there is such a thing. They do it all the time and get away with it. It's there one day and gone the next and no one really remembers what the commotion was all about.

This is different, though, and by gosh, I'd get on that phone to the attorney and slap them with a lawsuit so fast their website would go black. Of course, only Jon knows if it would be worth it, and if he has the financial means to do it.

I'm astounded that an independent professional (law and mental health) has not evaluated the children.
The children are of an age that they can articulate their deseires and should be reassured by a separate adult that nothing will happen to them if they refuse to film.

Kate's head is full of conflict, and in a way, it must be hard to be her sometimes.
She has this idea of being the perfect mother, who feeds perfect food and raises her kids up in the most perfect way.

Then, she has to come to the realization that she's not perfect- she's like the rest of us who she looks down her nose upon.

For instance, Kate "broke down' and used Pull Ups for her kids when potty training. This is what lazy, bad parents do, but she capitulated because they worked so well.
She had to admit that she wasn't perfect and wrote this in her diary.
Kate even revised history when she blogged about potty training on The Stir:
"At this point, you may be wondering why on earth I wouldn't choose to use modern day pull-up trainers? Well, to be very honest, it really helps to connect the dots if the child can feel wet. They won't like the feeling and will be more apt to stop playing and get to the potty -- fast!"

She freaking USED pull ups and LOVED them!

Of course, she continued to lie about keeping the potty training positive, after beating a 2-year old boy for pooping!

"Lastly, I always tried to stay calm and not get upset when accidents happened, no matter where. It's very important that potty training is a GOOD and positive experience, no matter what, or it could turn into a battle of the wills which could cause a crappy (sorry, had to) result!"

In a way, it must be hell to have this idea of being perfect in your head, and then having to outright lie to square away your imperfections because the thought of being less than perfect doesn't comport.

You know the twins love their dad. Maybe when the opportunity for kate to go on the Today Show with the girls, ate promised them those things, boots, Mady was wearing a 300 dollar pair of boots! The concerts! (Thought she was piecing and patching)!

Maybe they just went along with her leading her on that they would go on and throw Jon under the bus. But, because they love their dad, She was ecstatic when they were sitting on the couch at first. Then when Mady was suppose to speak, then kate gave that panic/stunned/what the heck look and then said, here's your chance, Mady, Spit It OUT!

That is why she was so mad. Had all the bribes bought and then they didn't deliver the goods. Love won out! So proud of you girls!

Glad to see some others agree. Frankly, I think Kate crossed the line in spreading this rumor. It had to have been concocted out of her head. The story itself, whether by Kate's own mouth or a minion, originated with her alone. And as far as Jon not being able to afford an attorney, he can. Even we mediocre types can dig up money.

Actually, according to RH, there were 2 boys who had trouble potting training after 3 days, and they both paid a severe price for this. Of course, all 3 tup girls were perfect, meeting her 3 day potty training period. Really?

In so many ways, she is not a good example of expectations for anyone. She obviously expects boys/men to meet her criteria on demand, not so much for the girls.

I am sure her different treatment of the twins, vs boy/girl tuplets is having a huge impact on these kids. "I am in charge, and this is never going to change." Her lack of encouraging kids to visit with Jon is disgusting, as I think she holds things over their heads, for her own benefit. Hello, time for a FCJ to meet with all 8 to see if they are anonymously still willing to film.

I always thought Kate's nicknames for the kids except Mady for Madelyn were very forced and phony-sounding. In those days non of the other kids had this 'rare treat."

NJGal51 said...

Jon, 36, who in recent years has jumped from waiting tables to IT work, is so desperate for a cut of Kate’s income, insiders say, he is considering blackmailing his former wife of 10 years into paying up. “[Jon] has no stable job, no steady income and now he’s trying to tell Kate that if she doesn’t give him a cut of the money, he will claim the kids hate filming and they are being forced to do it,” said an insider. Despite Jon’s alleged threats, a source close to Kate says she is unfazed by his demands. “He’s all bark and no bite,” said a source. “Kate has absolutely no intentions whatsoever of giving him any money.”

I think their "out" in this article is the use of the words "considering" and "alleged". The article goes on to say that Jon said in an interview in January that some of the kids have come to him to say they don't like filming. Nine months ago people! He certainly did start to lay the groundwork for his alleged blackmail scheme even before TFW cut a deal to film the first specials. He is one smart cookie.

EARTH SHATTERING NEWS: Kate is in an organizing mood, organizing & cleaning whole house. You have been warned! I wonder if she will throw out the kids stuff again! She organized all the cabinets and the basement. Was this filmed for TLC? Is this going to be an episode, how Kate organizes her house. Must be nice, get paid $40,000, to have hired help come in and clean house, and then ACT, like you cleaned it. Then complain how tired you are. And make sure you do it on the weekend, so you don't have to interact with your kids if they are home. So during the week you can go back to bed after, dropping kids off at school stop and then later goto Fed-ex, pick-up grifted things, goto spa, tanning etc. Then go online & complain about how hard the day was. Not to mention how hard everyone else works a 40-60 hour week, pick kids up (if they have them) , cook , clean and help with homework, then by 10pm try to un-whine , to sleep, and do it all again the next day. But then, that is how the rest of us, mudane/mediocre/normal/average people do all the time. Cause, Kate is special!

If history is any indicator, nothing big gets done on the compound unless there's cameras there.
The word "tradition" only applies if they're being filmed.

It was obvious on their last bday special that the kids hadn't strapped on ice skates since they were filmed at 3 years old.
It was rather sad to watch, really.
And Kate making her ridiculous faces and screeching while being pushed around in a fricking chair. Ugh.
She's so damn afraid of falling and getting hurt and not being able to take care of the kids (because, you know, their father doesn't exist), but will undergo elective procedures that could kill her.
Not to mention the risks of the tanning booth.
SMH.

And it is the cold, dirty floor of a laundry room, in the dark, all alone, while those who are supposed to love and care for you ignore you, and are more concerned over the well being of a comforter?

And, that's an adult. If an adult prefers that, that's one thing, but this was a very little boy who was far too young to be left alone like this. He should be on the couch in a central room in a house, kept warm and cozy and close to Mom and Dad.

What if something tragic happened? What if he vomited and choked? Would they even hear him off in the laundry room by himself?

In any case it's irrelevant what an adult would do. I'm sure there are many adults who enjoy being smacked around. I read 50 Shades of Grey. That doesn't mean it's okay to hurt a child.

On another note, IT'S POURING IN LOS ANGELES and Prince William and Kate are expecting another baby!!! Yah!

I agree, it didn't sound very credible to me either. It was said simply to defend Kate, and it's sad when you'll go so far as to lie to defend her.

The only time I've heard of adults preferring to be on the floor like that is when someone is having back problems and wants to be on a hard flat surface. When sick?? Uh, no.

Adults avoid sitting and lying on floors like the plague. We're too afraid our old bones won't let us get up again! Of course people just want to be in bed when they're sick.

Unreal, yes.
I would want to hear my child puking so I could run in and check that they're OK.
That means, leaving doors open and leaving a monitor in the room to at least hear what's going on.
I was appalled that the camera crew just stood there and did nothing but make sure they got a tight shot of the seasick, supine boy vomiting all over himself, barely making it onto his side before the vomit came out.
He could have aspirated, but who cares when you're trying to get the "money shot"?.

Off topic, but Joan Rivers' eclectic and flashy requests for her funeral show just how funny and self deprecating she could be without putting anybody down. Meryl Streep crying in five accents--I just spit my orange juice.

I think what happened is that she thought she was being backed into a corner when confronted with Kate's treatment of an ill child, and had to say something to defend Kate and own dumb tweets. There is no doubt in my mind that any person in his/her right mind would prefer a cold floor to a bed.

====

Sure and why not? Think of the money hospitals would save if there were no beds. They'd save oodles of time not having to change linen too. Nurses could tell patients to open their mouths nice and wide because I want to drop a couple of pills down your throat from waaay up here and doctors could examine them with their feet. Just give them a couple of kicks like they were checking tires.

Kate and her sheep are a special breed of stupid.

What stood out for me about that laundry room floor episode was
how Jon reacted when he came home. He said J was burning
up, and he immediately scooped his son into his arms and placed
him in their bed. He wasn't "playing" a good dad for the cameras -
he was genuinely concerned. Compare that to TFW's reaction to
her sick child - sighing about "vomit laundry" and sticking him
alone on the floor while he was feeling miserable.

All the posted and re-posted platitudes cannot change the things
I saw with my own eyes on that show. Unless of course maybe
TFW never placed her son on the floor, and it was edited in later...

The talk on bv files is about McGibney's "massive new movie deal" (not to be confused with the "old" movie deal he mentioned last year). Just wondering if TFW will be featured as herself. LOL

So true. Her problem (and therefore the kids' problem) is that IT'S ALL ABOUT HER. She has no connection, empathy, sympathy, thoughts or feelings about anyone BUT herself. The world literally revolves around HER. Her purpose in life, her reason for "being" is to have the world "watch ME, look at ME, focus on ME, be controlled by ME, respond to ME, be HURT by ME!" She's a black hole, suckingn the "life" out of her children and will continue doing so. The "book" is kind of old news right now but those beatings, those acts of abuse are just the tip of the iceberg. That was a minor glimpse into that psycho's mind. And I can vouch that the "mental" abuse will have far more damaging results than the physical. A narc mother is never engaged with you, she's never really interested in you (backpack, professor all examples that stick out like a sore thumb) she will turn any situation back round to her. YOUR life revolves around HER, so you feel "less than", non existent. Just like little Joel on the cold dark laundry room floor

Then, after the cruise was cancelled, she told people she'd meet up with them for a luncheon in Florida, before they cast off.

-----------------------------

She said that she would "like to try" to meet up with them. It was her out. By not promising them, she wouldn't actually have to do it. Her PR person must have thought of how to word it:

"In the e-mail, Kate tells the cruise go-er that she is sorry for you and for me, and that she sent everyone who signed up an e-mail to tell them the same. Although Kate won't be going on the cruise, Kate says she would like to try to meet up in Ft. Lauderdale just before the cruise embarks and treat everyone to a meal. If Ft. Lauderdale doesn't work out, she wants to figure out another way to meet with all the cruise people. Kate says she doesn't want to be the reason that the cruise-goers don't have a great vacation."

She was looking for petite "slacks." It's the only place she could find them in her size! Of course, dumb Milo didn't know that the site was just a middleman. She could have gone directly to the store's websites and found the same thing at the same price.

I have no reason to think this, but I always wondered if and when Kate gave J medicine when he had a high fever. It seemed to be some time later that Jon came home and found him still burning up despite Kate's treatment of cold laundry room floor . I know it's edited and maybe we just didn't see her do it, but since he was vomiting, I wonder when he got medicine since it hadn't started to work when Jon came home. She claimed she 'just' had given it to him to Jon.

Um helen. She wasn't alone. Unless the cameras were just drone quadcopters hovering around the house, there was a production crew present to film that beast of a woman while she was busy mistreating her kids.

Not only was there a camera crew there, but KATE HAS ALWAYS HAD HELPERS AND STILL DOES. She just didn't want to be bothered with tending to her sick child.

Geezus. What part of "Kate is a useless tit" don't the sheeple understand?

Joan Rivers: A Piece Of Work is an outstanding documentary. Just two weeks ago I watched Fashion Police and George Takei was a guests, taking about three new documentary about him. He was talking about how they made the documentary, and compared it to Joan s, that they both gave the film makers full access and did not have any editorial input. Joan said she wanted people to see her, warts and all.
hearing about Joan Rivers funeral, it sounds just perfect for her! With Howard Stern starting it off with an unprintable joke about a sagging body part, and Hugh Jackman singing a song she requested he sing at her funeral, truly sounds like a wonderful memorial for a person who was honest and crude and loving and generous. Entertainment Weekly ran an interview with Joan this past weekend. She talked about how some celebrities ” get it” that when she jokes about them, ”it means everyone knows what that celebrity looks like, you don't have to describe them. Cher calls me if I don't mention her, asking why isn't she in my act!”

I thought she requested Bobby Vinton's, "Mr. Lonely," but he has pneumonia and was too ill to sing, and they were trying to find someone to take his place.

I'm surprised that the non-fans haven't asked Milo where is the proof that it DIDN'T happen. She claims to know everything, that it's all distortions, embellishments, etc., but has never said exactly how she knows that. Where is her proof? Kate told her so? Gee, Milo, talk about "embellishment"!! So now she's conveniently forgetting about Kate's journals and pretending they never existed.

I'd wish she'd explain again why Kate sued Robert and Jon a year ago, and claimed then that they "stole" the information.

Milo acts like she knows everything about Kate and the kids. How they're doing and what they're thinking. Yet when one of the non-fans tweeted that Kate bribed Mady into filming, Hypocrite Milo tweeted:

Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack Aug 15
My word!...the "wizard of twitter" CC now has access 2Mady's mind!! I see a "bad moon arisin"...Don't U need a #permit 4that sort of thing?

I guess Milo is the only one who has "access" to the minds of Kate and the kids. If she says it, it must be true.

I think sometimes that Milo's over-the-top tweets defending Kate is more her trying to convince herself what a great person Kate is, rather than believing it. It's almost like by repeating it over and over again, she's brainwashing herself into believing it.

Convince herself and anyone else who will listen to her. "If we believe it, it must be true."
There are a few diehard Katie fanatics that will twist themselves into pretzels defending her. One question that comes to mind is why they are so invested in this POS.
On another note, it seems to me that if Katie has to blame "editing" for her insane behavior, it means she does recognize it as such. Otherwise, wouldn't she just blow it off and tell the critics they're just wrong, it didn't happen like that?
