TLC announces Kate Plus 8 will return in December

TLC posted the following press release on their site:
You watched Kate Gosselin plan the sextuplets' 10th birthday bash in June (and have an epic meltdown) and now you can follow your favorite oversized family on their summer vacation and into the new school year. "Kate Plus Eight" will return to TLC in December with all-new episodes! This time around, Kate and her eight growing kids will travel to Boston and explore different parts of New England on a family vacation.
You'll also see the kids rounding out the final days of summer with fun activities, while Kate preps the household for another school year. Teenagers Cara and Mady start 8th grade, and the sextuplets you know and love -- Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel -- are beginning 4th grade. We can't wait to see the kids prepare for pencils, books and maybe even teachers' dirty looks, while balancing their time between friends and siblings. And you can be we'll see more classic Kate moments and funny banter from the outspoken kids.

If she is serious about wanting her kids to go to college, then we ought to start seeing or hearing about Mady and Cara doing more activities that will help them when they apply for college, such as school sports, trying out for leadership positions on campus, doing community service, doing more during their summers than the alleged sleeping in late and sitting around the pool, etc.

----------

But if we want these kids' lives to be kept private, then shouldn't Kate just keep quiet and not advertise to the internet world in what activities/events these girls participate? I mean, one can't have it both ways. If we want them to enjoy life without having their lives posted on Kate's twitter, then that's the way it should be.

Frankly, if I had the money to fully fund my kids' college funds, I wouldn't do it 100%, and I wouldn't do it unconditionally.
Sorry, you've got to have some skin in the game.

This goes for the G kids, too, even though they've worked all their lives.
They have to have a little risk to understand what's at stake.
&&&&&&&&&&&&

Exactly!! It's funny you mention this. A long time friend of mine has a very wealthy brother. My friend's son just entered college. While the uncle assisted his nephew with the admission process into his alma mater, he is not going to pay for it- until the nephew graduates. They will be using loans. If the nephew graduates, the uncle will pay the loans in full. My friend's brother felt that paying up front would be a disaster and cause the boy to lose focus and not keep his eye on the prize. I think this is more than fair and a more than reasonable expectation.

Yes she's thinking of her future, not theirs and I don't think she's broke she's just greedy. But she's still gonna squeeze everything she can out of those kids while she still can.

I don't know what she'll do for her narcissistic supply either, when they're not on tv anymore. I think that scares her too. We know damn well she was lying when she said she'd disappear when she's put them all into college. I just wish she'd meant it.

Same game different goal.

Exactly. She wants more money she doesn't have to lift a finger to earn. She probably has enough to fund 16 college educations. Hey Robert? About that additional info you said you're holding back? Time to rethink that.

I don't know...it's a tough one.

Kate and TLC. How terrible would it be to know that the only reason you got a gig on television was because you were universally despised and viewers tuned in only to see you behaving like a shrew? What does that do to your self-esteem? I guess in Kate's case, it really doesn't matter to her because she's laughing all the way to the bank.

I also don't think she cares one bit about college. Except that she cares about continuing her lifestyle while they are in college and probably won't be able to work for her anymore. THAT's what's scaring her about college, that it will definitely be all over by then and she better be sure she has her own little trust fund for herself to keep this going.
------------------------

I agree, it is not college funds she is worried about for the most part, as some may not even choose that path. But rather, how this will impact on HER lifestyle. More projection about her bills, etc...I sometimes wonder if she is even paying for the kids" tuition, or if this was part of her compensation for filming.

The irony is that often the less you have as a parent, the more scholarships, grants, loans you qualify for, as long as your children are well rounded and make good grades. The problem is that TFW does not appear to be very engaged in the tups' schoolwork, rather the twins, are most likely her paid helpers. Never mind she takes no time to socialize her tups in extracurricular activities, so her boo hoo stories have no salt. If she was really concerned about their future (off film), she could work with other parents (in car pooling) to help socialize the kids. She doesn't have a full time job, so she could certainly make it a priority that they have a life, outside of her and filming. This is where she misses the mark every time. All about what is easiest for Kate." And not educational or social growth for her money makers.

In some odd way, it is like she wants to keep the tups to herself, so no one other than herself can claim they has any part in their growth. It takes a village.

I totally agree. Plumbers, electricians, steam fitters, etc.. can make a very good living. Many go through an apprenticeship program for 3 years, and do very well financially.

She really is a pip, projecting 9 years down the road, as the kids will not finish high school until they are 19. Her projection for college is more selfish me, me, me- I need more money and have to film and most likely throws this in the face of her kids, to keep them filming. Pathetic, as she seems to be the only one who still wants to film.

Wish someone would ask TFW how she paid for nursing school?

Isn't she at least in her 40's, sort of average looking? This time, instead of using her son to get attention, she chooses to mention she has hot friends. Besides being tacky (and probably untrue), this time she's using supposedly hot looking friends to try to get attention.

I think we're selling TFMJG short as she will follow the Duggar's example. Look for more 'specials' as the girls start dating, marrying, and having babies. If she can talk one of the twins into going to nursing school and then becoming a midwife, she could film the pregnancy/pregnancies and subsequent deliveries. The icky boys can fetch the hot water and plant the placenta to fertilize the trees.

Kate's nursing career is pretty much DOA now, let alone when the kids go off to college.
There's no way she is going to do what she'd need to do to get back in the game.
It's a foregone conclusion that she won't practice nursing, so, what's left but tv? But, on her own? I can't see it. I really can't.

They looked at his debt to income ratio and wouldn't budge on it.

His mother, who chose not to pay his college tuition even though money was no issue, is now paying off those loans for him. Had he not taken out student loans in college and she had paid for his education, she wouldn't have to now pay interest on top of it!

Nonetheless it was and is not that mother's responsibility to pay for her son's college or mortgage. If a parent chooses to that's fine but there are many very good reasons to choose to not pay for some or even all of your adult child's wants and needs, not the least of which is you can't afford it either. Super seniors probably wouldn't exist if adults had to figure out their education on their own.

Totally agree with you. Often student loans are set up over a 10+ years to repay, and helps establish a credit rating, since most kids have no credit prior to graduating. This keeps the payments smaller but allows the child to take some responsibility for their education.

There are federal loans for college, as well, which will spread payments out longer if need be.

I was not clear in my comment. We all know that TFW tweets about things one child or another allegedly said or did. My comment was meant to express that if TFW is really serious about ensuring her children have a very good possibility of going to college, it's more than just a matter of money. The prospective college student has to show they are well-rounded and did a whole variety of activities, as well as achieved a certain level of academic success. To prove the veracity of her stated claim that she "needs to work" to obtain college funding, it will be interesting to see if her tweets, any future interviews, etc., contain references that would show that her children are doing more than going to school and then coming home.

Of course TFW should keep quiet - but when has she ever done that?

Alberta Girl said...

I agree that it isn't a parent's responsibility to pay for everything for their child. If you can, great, and obviously it will help them in the future with a small step ahead.

Kate strikes me as the type of person who would withhold the funds if they are not doing what she wants them to do. There was that episode where they were talking about their will, and she didn't want them to have any funds available to them until they were 30. She has also stated that if they want a car, they will need to purchase one on their own. It would be pretty hard to get a job without leaving the compound (or will they be part of the "family business"? Growing Up Gosselin anyone?).

My husband had no help whatsoever. He moved out at almost 17, because his stepdad didn't want him in the house anymore. His mom has repeatedly stated that my husband wasn't her problem anymore once he turned 18. He struggled, and obviously was mixed up with a bad crowd for a few years. He finally got himself together in his early 20's, but found it really difficult to get a step up in life. But he worked hard and got really lucky with one job giving him an great opportunity, and is successful today.

I was opposite of my husband. My parents paid for my schooling, and were even kind enough to help me with a down payment for my first apartment. I never wanted for anything growing up, but I never expected anything either. I worked throughout school to pay for my own car, and other expenses. I don't consider myself a spoiled brat, and my husband and I have worked really hard to have the life we have.

Just a comment I wanted to make. Not all kids turn into spoiled brats if you help them, and sometimes a little bit of help can go a long way for someone who has had none.

Oh, not doubt it's harder to qualify depending how much you're trying to mortgage based on the price of the house.
This is a factor that comes into play outside of and including owing student loans.
People get turned down because they think that the loan recipient can't handle the mortgage, for MANY reasons

And, I'm betting, that the loan was for a very large % of the price of the house.

Times have changed.
Yet, my point stands, so please stop challenging me on my stance that I would NOT 100 PERCENT fund a college education.

So funny when Clark Griswold punched the nose on the Moose!

Reminds me when my boys and I went to Shoney's when they were 9 and under. Shoney bear came around and had suckers for all the kids, but when he got to our table, he only had 2 and my youngest one didn't get one.

Then Shoney bear raised his hands up like he didn't have any. It made my youngest son, 6 yrs. old, so mad that he jumped up in his chair and PUNCHED Shoney bear in the nose! His brothers were rolling in the floor!

Like when Andy and Barney were on the motorcycle and Andy was in the side car and the loafers around town had loosened the sidecar away from the motorcycle so when Barney took off, Andy was still sitting there and they were laughing, rolling all over the benchseat, just like that.

I was mortified! I was in tears, laughing, but mortified. But what was SO funny about it was SB's nose it was a soft plastic nose and the punch had dented it. SB then put his white 3 finger gloved hand on his nose like he had an Aowie! Then I heard him curse a little, then he turned around and walked off to the kitchen door, swung it open and before the kitchen door swung back to close, the kid had already taken the SB head off and was looking at it!

The funniest part was when SB had put his 3 finger handed glove on the nose like he had an Aowie! We have replayed and reenacted that memory over and over ever since! Those are good memories!

Does Kate even realize how differently she has things as opposed to the kids? When this series, or series of specials, moves forward she has the luxury of remaining cocooned in the protections she's set up for herself. Her bodyguard who runs block for her, prearranged questions that she strategically answers when talk show circuits request her presence, her staff who does everything from bus pickups to grocery shopping when she doesn't want to be in public, and sources that speak on her behalf on Twitter and Radar Online.

Her kids are not nearly as protected. They must go to school and interact with peers, their dad tries to keep them normal and takes them out in public, the older ones at least have attended birthday parties where other kids know them and congregate. If this latest round of TLC episodes shows them or their mother having bad moments, what safety net do the kids have to protect themselves should they not want to face public ridicule?

I didn't "challenge" you about paying for a college education. In fact, I didn't challenge you about anything. I would never tell someone that his/her opinion isn't the "right one." We all make our own decisions. You posted that student debt wouldn't leave someone unable to qualify for a mortgage. In my friend's situation, it did indeed do just that. This happened a few weeks ago...not ten years ago. I just pointed out something that happened to which I have personal knowledge, and was, in fact, looking over the application, qualifications, amount of mortgage, and the financials. Not everything is black and white. Many things factor into a new home buyer qualifying for a mortgage. There is not one size fits all. My friend's son did not qualify because of outstanding student loans. There is no need for anyone to be defensive.

This was a nice little satire but it does have an important message. I think the kids are dealing with this NOW. All those creepy sheeple still talk about pooping in underwares and adigators.

At 10 and almost 14, those sort of things must be absolutely mortifying. I doubt they even identify with any of that as they probably can't even remember most of it. It must be very difficult to grow up and seek acceptance when people loved you the most when you were four.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I don't think she wants to work at all. I think she just wants to be famous and make money being famous and get all the swag that can come with that like trips. I don't think she even really applied herself about becoming a host or something because she quickly realized, uh oh, this is actual WORK. Like up at 4 a.m. be engaging and engaged with the world and others, practice, practice, practice work. That's way too much effort. She just wants to go on trips and talk about herself.

The kids are going to get a clue and fast. They're going to realize mom hasn't had to work in almost ten years because of them. I can't imagine the resentment when they're her age and dealing with the realities of being 39. Most people spend their 30's working their butts off and starting their families. Kate hasn't done hardly any work, and has passed off a large chunk of the raising of her family on others. That will only breed resentment when they realize.

What that little youtube clip shows, very clearly, is that young children 'in the business' are labelled at a young age.

What Kate is doing, essentially, is allowing OTHER PEOPLE, like TMZ and other tabloid sites, write on the children's slates. Instead of allowing the children THEMSELVES to be able to write their own slate.

And once 'labelled' or a rumour gets out, good luck getting that back in the bottle again.

It's child abuse and I don't understand how it is legal.

Kate's already allowed TLC to do it. They've labelled the kids as outspoken. That's just the very tip of the iceberg. Poor kids. :( Things will get much, MUCH worse before they get better.

I remember years ago a guy was going to build a house and applied for a mortgage and he had to wait 6 months before it was approved! The reason why is because the mortgage company had ran a complete check on him and found out that he had flipped off a guy and the guy had filled out a police report.

The mortgage company waited until the SOL ran out so just in case during that time period the guy decided to sue him for flipping him off, there was a chance he would win a big money judgment and couldn't pay the mortgage!

Actually, Milo, during the school year, their teachers spend more time with the kids than Kate does. The majority of the credit for them doing well in school lies with them and their teachers---not their mother.

She couldn't even make sure they got their summer reading project done until the last minute. Oh, that's right--she has an excuse for that. They were too busy filming and working. Of course, that takes precedence over school.

As much as we don't like it, putting your kids faces on the internet like Kate has done, or filming them for reality television shows does not constitute child abuse in any state, and therefore it is not illegal to do so. In fact, not all states have strict child labor laws, and filming them (and having them "labeled") is not against any law.

She is accused of beating the child on the legs and arms with the belt and also punching her and giving her a bloody nose. Nice lady, huh. You can get away with a lot of physical abuse in this country. Spanking, slapping, smacking are all usually going to be overlooked.

But once you bring a belt into it and a social worker finds out or the cops? You're toast. That elevates it to a whole other level. Child endangerment charges and foster care. I think the sheeple have a misconception about what is "acceptable" physical discipline in the eyes of the law and what is not. Start with Gonzales v. Santa Clara county, it explains it well. I would not go around advertising a belt is used in your family even if it was a long time ago.

In 2014, Milo's father would probably not whip his children. He would realize by reading and listening that it isn't a desirable thing to do. And if he didn't realize that it's wrong, he would refrain (or keep it hidden) for fear of social and legal consequences.

But if he did do it openly and persistently, there's a some chance he would lose custody of his children. Hopefully before he caused permanent physical damage.

I just took a gander over on Patricia's timeline and that tweet was more than benign. She wasn't talking about Jon, she just made a general comment that both moms and dads should get credit for educating kids, and a later tweet she mentioned oh and grandparents! That's a totally fair comment. Wtf.

Patricia is trying to brush this off by saying she doesn't really care if Kate follows her and Kate has lots of people that don't follow her. That's really not the point, Patricia.

It's really sad when Kate does them wrong they pretend it either doesn't bother them or that her bad behavior is okay. Whatever, pathetic enablers.

On another note, she has photos of Bindi Irwin sitting down with a tiger. I think it's ridiculous that a 16 year old minor is allowed to sit with a tiger like that, a wild animal that has killed humans just like that. This is going to end very tragically one of these days, she's already had a close call years ago with some rhinos. Terrible.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Absent other factors, a few student loans shouldn't affect a mortgage. If you're talking several thousands and thousands of dollars yes I can see how that is going to be looked at when deciding whether to give a mortgage. But then again, lots of people are in that same boat. It's probably wise to deny the mortgage, they have a lot of financial obligations on their plate that need attention first. Renting is often a better option for many people anyway.

The bottom line is many people who have gone to school after maybe about 1995 and didn't have a college fund has massive student loan debt. We're all in the same boat here. I don't know anyone in my age group who is a lawyer who doesn't have at least 60,000 in debt and often much more. Some of us have houses, some rent. It's not the end of the world if you have to rent. You just figure it out. It's a first world problem and does not in any manner justify exploiting your kids to fix it. There are tons of options for dealing with it. Payments can usually be based on your income and are usually quite fair, and there are numerous loan forgiveness programs for numerous fields. When I first started they only asked me to pay about $500 bucks on it a month, that was more than fair and doable. Plus I got a huge deduction every year. Kids, and parents, need to think about the school they are going to attend and what they want to do. State schools or trade schools or community college offer much bigger breaks in tuition for the same or almost the same education. And here's the thing about parents footing the bill. If they are able to and feel that is right for them, great. But a lot of parents can't afford it either. Who can? Most people can't. So somebody has to bear the burden, and it seems to me the adult should be the one shouldering that instead of the parent. It would tear me apart if I thought my parents were struggling financially for our benefit when they're senior citizens now. That's not right. No thanks. This is our problem not theirs.

I never thought that Milo is Kate, but it's very odd that both of them disappear at the same time. This has been true over and over again, particularly when Kate is on vacation. I'm not sure what to make of it, other than that Milo sees no reason to tweet when her beloved isn't on Twitter.

Regarding student loans. My brother wrote out checks for the first two years of his daughter's college tuition. He was able to do this without incurring any debt for himself, with no financial hardship. He made it clear, however, that she would be responsible for the last two years. He wanted her to have some kind of accountability for her education. However, rather than taking out student loans which might affect her credit rating and put her at the mercy of the lender, he paid for those years and he became the banker. She's paying him back, with no interest charged and has been faithful in doing so. It was a solution that appears to be working.

Actually, all she did was tweet an article regarding the salary. She just copied another tweet, and tweeted it again. She does that with all articles about Kate, both good and bad. And I don't find it rude either.

Now if you want to talk about being rude and asking personal questions, Milo holds the prize for that one. Rather than unfollow her for doing that, Kate just ignores her. Guess Kate doesn't want to insult her biggest cheerleader because she needs her there patting Kate on the back.

I never thought that Milo is Kate, but it's very odd that both of them disappear at the same time. This has been true over and over again, particularly when Kate is on vacation. I'm not sure what to make of it, other than that Milo sees no reason to tweet when her beloved isn't on Twitter.
--------------------

I think you just explained it. Kate is the one and only reason Milo is on twitter. She opened her twitter account the same day that Kate first tweeted. She doesn't tweet any other celebrities unless Kate mentions them(like Kendra, Evan L, Brian B). She follows Deanna because Deanna is a friend of Kate's.

Milo only tweets when Kate is around because she knows that ups her chances of getting an immediate reply. What's the point of tweeting if Kate's not there to pay attention to her? So there's no reason for Milo to tweet her if she doesn't think she may get a response. However, the minute Kate does show up, no matter what day or time(unless it's after "lights out", you can be sure that Milo will be there in a nanosecond.

Of course, there are times when Milo tweets her "woe is me" stuff to no one in particular, in the hopes that that will bring a response from Kate.

It's sort of like knowing that someone is not home, so there's no point in giving them a call.

And if Milo went away I don't think Kate would even ask. She'd just move right along like nothing happened. I really don't think she cares about her as a person whatsoever she just wants the good PR from her that's all.
-----------------------------
Milo has gone away, when she feels slighted, and K hasn't noticed. Sometimes other sheeple twidiots have noticed, and that just give Milo an excuse to pout on twitter rather than pout by being absent.

I don't think Milo is K because of her pouting and because of tweets that actually seem to be needling K and bring up subjects K would rather forget about.

Also, I think creating an alternate persona would be much too much work for K. She's just incapable of remembering a story or writing in an assumed style.

I would really like to know who Milo is. I don't want her real name, unless she is an already-known member of K's camp (like Jamie or Deanna). But, I would like to know if she's a paid cheerleader with an assumed persona, a crazed fan more or less telling the truth about her life (LOM, her age, her kids, her mother's health, etc), or a crazed fan who is lying about herself from beginning to end. No names please! Not that I'm likely to get any.

)))))))))))))))))))))

I was thinking about that, too. She likes the mystery of it, people thinking that she and Kate are together somewhere, and the Twitter talk that when Kate is gone, Milo is likewise away. It happens every time, and when Kate's back or tweets, Milo jumps in like...hey, we're both here now.

Creepy.

Has anyone seen the description for tonight's Lifetime movie "PopFan"? I think the film could be easily remade by TLC starring TFW:

A reality star crashes her car while speeding on her way home from an uncomfortable interview where questions from a recent unauthorized biography were asked of her. She is rescued by an older woman who takes her to her secluded chicken coop to recuperate. Unfortunately the woman is an obsessed, unstable fan who experts her to be the image created on her TeeVee show. LOL

Or HIMSELF, catfishing, and doing a fairly decent job at it. I agree about it not being Kate. She'd never have the skill to do this, and she's too lazy to have kept it up for so long. Her attention span is zilch, not to mention that she could never, in a million years, remember who she set herself up to be. She'd have to sit there with a script in order not to trip herself up.

Has anyone been following the story of 13-year-old little league
sensation -- and Sports Illustrated cover girl -- Mo'ne Davis?
Here's an interesting quote from her, which relates to the G kids'
saga. When asked if it was difficult not to be blinded by this
intense media spotlight, she responded, "Not really. I can
always say 'no,' so that's like my special weapon for the media."

Sadly, the G kids don't have that luxury. If ever a child was
shouting "no" through both her body language and her
silence, it was C during the Today show, and then the
TLC specials (I am saying this based on the comments
I read here, and the ones from Paul Petersen - I did not
watch the shows). But "no never means no" to TFW,
even, or especially, when it comes to her own flesh and
blood.

Since Old Navy sells uniforms, I think we have the answer about whether or not it was on TLC's dime. Uniforms, school supplies, shoes...all things the children would need for school now paid for by TLC. I wonder if the boys clothes will be once again two sizes too large...just in case there is not a 'special' next year?

Formerly Duped said...

Well, I think the boys now have developed their own clothing taste. Kate said Collin likes to look like a businessman ( mockingly) I thought he was cute wanting button-down shirts and ties, and the other two looked pretty good, too.Joel apparently is the best dresser of the three (couch interview) The girl tups ( Mady said they made ugly dress decisions) seem to wear black stretch pants and gaudy tops. Kate let them choose clothes on the birthday special so maybe if they shop again on the new ones they'll all end up with a few decent outfits (and uniforms) And the whining twins...idk.

LaLaLandNoMore said...

I totally agree, Admin, that Kate doesn't want to work. I believe she tries to convince the children she is working and it may take them a few years to truly catch on to the fact that they have provided totally for their mother's lifestyle. When they mature, they will have questions and they may even ask their dad or other family to answer those. This story will not end well. When the 8 kids go to their mother and want their "trust funds" oh boy will there be a reckoning. Remember, old mom has had access to all the money to spend as she sees fit. Not sure about college funds because I don't trust any information we have been fed from the Gosselin camp.

This waiting another year for shoelaces reminds me of her forcing them to do all their summer reading and assignments a week before school starts, when they have had all summer to do them.

kate can't face the fact that Jon is alive, well and thriving without her. He takes care of his kids the best way he can and the proof is in the pictures of him out and about with the kids. Exactly my thought Admin - I will freeze half a batch when I make cookies. When the non-frozen cookies are gone (in a matter of days), I will put two frozen cookies in a baggie in my son's lunch, and they will be fully thawed out by lunch time. A batch usually lasts about a week. But after several months in the freezer, most food is not as appealing. Kate doesn't do anything else during the school year - she can't make a couple of fresh batches of cookies twice a month? (Not that I believe for one second she made any of those alleged cookies to begin with. Either they weren't made, or someone else made them.)

I used to think Milo was an alter ego created by Kate, but sometimes she does ask very inconvenient questions, or you can see a little passive aggressive needling/wheedling. That's what makes me think Milo is an individual other than Kate.

I'm right here.

You've already figured out 63 days at 1cookie/kid/day. I just looked at the calendar and did a quick count of weeks where Monday is in the Month: Sept: 5, Oct: 4, Nov (full weeks before Thanksgiving): 3. That's 12 weeks. Multiply by 5 days/week and get 60 days. It's not exact: subtract a few days for holidays, add a few days for Thanksgiving week and next week, and 63 days sounds about right. K has undoubtedly counted to the day.

But.... what about the 3 leftover cookies?????

Note: any child eating two cookies in a day (gasp) or not liking the choices left when November rolls around will be met with penalty of severeness!

Making all the cookies now and freezing them sounds nuts to me. How to take something that should be nice and suck all the fun out of it. K is an expert at that.

TFW could just as easily freeze part of the raw cookie dough for a
few months, and toss a few sheets at a time in the oven when she needs them. Then the kids could have fresh-baked cookies instead
of defrosted ones.

I've done this lots of times. Just place some of the dough on cookie
sheets as if you're about to bake a batch, and chill it for a bit so that
the dough holds its shape. Then toss the dough in some ziplock
bags or containers, and stick a label on with the time/temp needed
for baking, and you're all set.

But my way, TFW wouldn't get to be lauded as the Bestest Mom

Of course, I also had a job, so did my husband, paid for child care, and valued quality time with my kids. So things like baking 507 cookies never even entered my mind. I think she is desperate for excuses to avoid those kids. And sadly, they probably are relieved when they're being ignored. Such a fricking tool

It certainly remains her 'thing', the baking of eleventy billion cookies destined for freezer burn. Hope the kids spent a Saturday with their dad, after their working vacay, whole mommy dearest locked herself in the kitchen for the day. Here's the odd thing for me. She's not a working mother, but would choose to spend a day in the kitchen while her children presumably are left to their own, instead of waiting to do this when the kids are back in school and she has jack all to do all day. Oh, I know she does it for attention, and would not be spending the time with the kids anyway. Maybe she should just make eleventy billion sandwiches and freeze them too.

Part of Kate's narcissistic pathology is that she needs Milo [pretend worshiper]to stroke her, let her" woe is me".It lets her respond to tweets without being identified. I believe the foot x-ray was fake, no name on it, she got the x-ray photo off the internet. I believe milo's pets and kids are pretend as well. They tweet around the same time, and stop at the same time. It all fits.

Now that Kate is back on TLC's payroll, I'm surprised she hasn't finagled them into providing private transportation to and from school this year for her money makers.

Fivetybillion, tenty billion and it ends in 8. LOL!! You guys are too funny. Thanks for the chuckles. I'm glad I asked :)

I suppose now she'll go the Mrs. Field's route and franchise her cookies. Everytime she does something she wants to market it right away. And that includes birthing kids.

I wonder which child will not get a cookie. 507 cookies divided by 8 is 63.3 cookies. Maybe the boys will get crumbs instead of an entire cookie for their lunch.

It's hard to imagine this dippy woman baking all this stuff. For someone who professes to be handy imn the kitchen, she seems so hopelessly slow and challenged in there.Watching her chop things...in...sloooow...motion...drove me nuts. Taking forever to make generic pizza for Katie Couric? That stupid tent cake frosted with bird shit? ILately I've been thinking that she's stoned out of her mind on something because everything is so damn difficult for her addled little mind to do competently.Fricking tool.

Orange crusher, why stop at the eleventy billion sandwiches and cookies? Get TLC to buy a gazillion juicy juice boxes, a fuckityhundred million bags of crunchy things and 8 pieces of turkey bacon for that rare treat. The kids have lunch made forever and Kreider can sleep in until the kids escape to live as anything but mini POWs with anyone but her. Fricking tool!

I used to do this routinely for my four. Baked them at night while I cleaned up from dinner, so they would be cooled enough in the morning to seal up into the lunch boxes. It was a joy to send them off with freshly baked and they loved the aromas in the house in the evening.

RE the press release above: how many times does the writer have to remind/demand/brainwash the readers that they LOVE the kids?

Flimsy flamsy, you're method of freezing cookies sounds great. I have a recipe from an old Good Housekeeping cookbook for making cookie dough that you cam then form into a roll and keep in the fridge for a few weeks or freeze, then you can slice and bake whatever you want.
Much tastier to have fresh baked cookies, takes 15 min to bake, than freezer burned cookies.

FlimsyFlamsy said...

Dwindle (#194), aha - you said the secret word that will always
trip us up when trying to understand TFW: JOY. It was a JOY to
do something nice for your kids. That word does not seem to be
in her parenting dictionary. Her kids are a chore, an obligation,
a burden. She said herself if she had it to do all over again, she
wouldn't. Sigh.

Fuckityhundred million. haha! I love these high numbers.

That's probably how many $$ she's made off those kids. She could probably afford to buy a few dozen cookies at the bakery.

fuckityhundred million - My new favorite number!

Although I think the cookies might be a little stale tasting after being in the freezer or months I don't think they'll get freezer urn because they're individually wrapped (1 cookie over Baggie) and then placed in a plastic storage container. Oh wait, if she didn't squeeze the air out of each individual Baggie they just might form ice crystals so never mind.

I agree that everything Kate does seems s-l-o-w! The way she opens packaging, gets out bowls, cracks the eggs, whisks etc. She does not seem efficient or at-home in the kitchen..hmmm. Maybe it's her nails (which were gross when covered in cake icing) or maybe she can't cook and talk at the same time.Remember how she used to complain about make a meal, feed a meal etc...now she suddenly loves cooking/baking for her 8 kids?

@CJWhodunit: @LisaFray @Kateplusmy8 @TLC Now that is cool!Kids sounded so glad to be filming again on summer special,thanks #TLC! #FamilyViewingTime 😃😃😃

There's a new sheeple in tow (my bolding) proclaiming to one and all that TFW+9 (Steve makes the family oh so Devine) has been picked up for a new series. I took a look at her timeline and she does nothing but tweet reality stars. CJ states that the kids sounded happy to be filming again. I'm sure they'd be happy to eat nothing but junk food, but what makes them happy and what's good for them are two different things.

Hang in there. Once you've grieved and processed your loss (new diagnosis), you'll be in a better place to learn how to manage it. I know the amount of information out there can overwhelming, but it can also be very empowering.

Regarding Roo- it sounds like her fenced in area may be some kind of privacy fence too, (i.e. she can't see through it?), which means that she may be jumping out of curiosity to see what is on the other side. If this is the case, you can try walking her around the other side (on a leash of course) to see what's there, cut her a peep hole (which may not be easy to do safely), and of course increasing her excercise and creating an area of curiosity on your side of the fence with interactive toys and things to watch inside the fence such as bird feeders (out of her reach of course) and the like. Exploring local dog parks and training classes are also a great way to satisfy her needs and a chance for you to interact with other dog owners. It's amazing what I've learned from my fellow pet lovers, (especially here!).

She is the polar opposite of joy. She sucks any potential joy out of absolutely everything and doesn't seem capable of living in the moment - EVER.

Remember her at the Baltimore Bookfest her slo-mo cutting the vegetables? Her slo-mo mashing the meatloaf in the bowl on Home and Family? I can just hear the slo-mo sound now. Imagine Charlie Browns teacher's voice in slo-mo and watch her mouth move too with no audio just the voice.

UGH!!!

Flimsy Flamsy,

What a great idea for doing the cookies! There is no way in that little freezer there is 507 cookies! If that little fridge has a lock on it, can you imagine the penalty of severeness a G kid would face getting caught in that cookie jar?

She could even buy store bought cookies she has the money and they would be fresh. Or she could buy the rolls of dough already made and bake some and ball the rest up and freeze.

No freezer burn!

lukebandit said...

I wonder during the filming of Boston, she was able to get TLC to pay for Katherine her private chef to make these cookies so they would be ready for the first day of school.

Would not surprise me at all!
