Terms of Resentment

Anna Nicole Smith's 6-year-old gets a modeling contract with Guess, meanwhile Hollywood icon Shirley MacLaine's daughter is all grown now and says her childhood was pretty screwed up thanks to her mother's selfishness and neglect.

This week's 20/20 had some fascinating stories on famous children, including a pint-sized first grader who is the offspring of the most famous blond since Marilyn Monroe, and a Hollywood icon's daughter who is finally spilling the nasty, shocking dirt. Once again, another celebrity child says it's not all as it seemed.

Dannielynn Birkhead

Larry Birkhead is a surprisingly tender and attentive single father, braiding his little girl's hair, helping her pick out pretty dresses, and kissing her goodbye before school. But did he make a huge misstep letting Dannielynn model for Guess? Birkhead said he did it so Dannielynn could do something "with" her mom, who was also a Guess model, and that every cent is being saved for her. Birkhead says little Dannielynn always asks about her mom, who died when she was a baby.

Sachi Parker

Holy what the hay?! Shirley MacLaine's daughter is throwing her under the bus big time in her new book, where she says that MacLaine was neglectful and detached and rarely around when she was growing up. No, say it ain't so! Not Cora's American mum!  According to one of Parker's many appalling tales, Shirley once put 2-year-old Sachi on an airplane to Japan to go see her father. By herself. Ugh.

Danilynn is a beautiful little girl but didn't her brother commit suicide in anna Nicole's hospital room around the time of her birth?

I think Larry made a mistep.

Guess has no qualms against exoiting AnnA Nicole's images (yes, they paid for them but I didn't realize they still use her on their packaging) and they will do the same with this child.

What if said...

The kids YELLING at the paps to not take their pictures made me sad.

That's right I'd forgotten about Daniel. I always thought she couldn't live without him. She was devoted to that kid. It's funny someone like her surprises me as a very protective parent but she was. Daniel didn't want to be on her reality show much, and he wasn't, and then soon after he decided he didn't want to be on at all, and that was fine with her too. He wasn't, end of story. She respected him as a person and respected what his preferences were. Can't judge a book by its cover.

I don't think Larry made a huge misstep letting Dannielynn model for Guess?. I understand how he felt about wanting Dannielynn to have some sort of common bond with her mother. I think he is an extremely doting father who has nothing but her bests interests at heart.

I have to say, the guy made quite a strong case for this idea he's doing the very best he can with her. She obviously adores him and he's very attentive to her needs, the hair braiding, doting on her, going along with all the over the top feminine things she's into. Could be all an act an he could be fooling us all, but their close relationship seemed genuine.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Oh also it broke my heart when he described how sometimes she would come home from school and burst into tears because she wants her mother like the other kids have. Poor kid. Her mom would have adored her just as much as she did Daniel.

How do you know so much about Anna Nicole and her son's relationship?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

?? I don't know more than what I remember from catching a few episodes of her reality show from way back how affectionate they were, and that he didn't want to be on the show. It was all on her show. You are lucky if you didn't stumble upon that train wreck at some point. Wikipedia is our friend too. According to that Anna was so distraught she tried to climb into his casket and be buried with him. Sad.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Gosh I hate to say it but I can see how it might bring that kid a lot of comfort to know that she and her mom share a common bond in both being Guess models, like it's her way to feel connected to her. Better than marrying some old guy at least. She sounds distraught without her now that she's getting old enough to understand she doesn't have a mom.

Larry Birkhead either is one smooth talker, or he's actually sincere.

I would think most mothers would want to do the same thing if their children died.

She was a horrible mother to him and set a terrible example for him.

Of course, she loved him. Most mothers love their children Doted on him? She was too busy chasing fame and money.

Tragedy all the way around.

The thing I remember about Anna Nicole was about the never ending court case, that actually made it to the Supreme Court. I am not sure if all the court proceedings were settled, but Justice Roberts in 2011 actually quoted Bleak House by Charles Dickens in their ruling.
Anna Nicole married old Mr Smith, who had oodles of money. He gave her a lot of money, then died, and she was not given anything in the will. The son Mr Smith, older than Anna Nicole, said his fathers assets were distributed as he intended, and Anna was not getting anything else. She went back to court in California I think and on some technical reason went to court to be able to appeal the will, and it dragged on. Meanwhile old Mr Smiths Soon also died, and his heirs kept up the fight to not give Anna Nicole,.or her estate after she died, any additional money.
Meanwhile Anna had Dannielynn, and Daniel died from what was determined to be accidental overdose of prescription meds. And Anna at first claimed Howard her lawyer was Dannielynns father, there was a paternity case because Larry believed it was his childs and he wanted parental rights. Them Anna died,.also prescription drug overdose, and I think her physician was later reprimanded or list their license to prescribe, because of prescribing abuses.
I like Nancy Grace, and this entire case gave Nancy LOTS to work with. It was complicated and fascinating. Esp because Anna had a will that left everything to Daniel, but he died before she did, and so everything went to her surviving child. But the biggest asset was the potential windfall if Anna s estate won the court case against the surviving Smith heirs.
If I find a really good summary of the legal issues, I will post a link. The guy Harvey Levin who runs TMZ is also an attorney, and I remember his trying to explain the legal issues involved, which were complex.

Anna Nicole will always be synonymous with Guess and they could never find anyone else that could get past that with their brand. I think it is okay for her to model with them as well. She will need that money for her future security, and for her present day security. She will always be a security risk whether she takes that job or not. From what I have seen of her she looks just like her mother. The passing of Anna Nicole was so sad as she was just getting her second wind when her son died and that is what killed her, I think, in addition to all the enablers that surrounded her, I think the Supreme Court pretty much made it impossible for Dannie Lynn to get the inheritance that everyone thought she might but I don't really understand how since California is 50/50 state or so I thought. You would think that mean son would have given her something, at least. From what I remember, he shut out all family members, including siblings.

Shirley McClain was always like someone from another planet. She had some very strange beliefs that were even more far-fetched during her time period than they would be today. The book should be a good read.

Ok....just throwing this out there...I understand Dannielynn is struggling with not knowing her Mom...my concern is that Anna made some really bad decisions in her career and her whole persona and self image was about being a marlyn Monroe sexpot type..by starting Dannielynn out so young "following in her mother's shoes", is anyone concerned that this could be the beginning of Dannielynn getting a distorted view that to be "close" to her Mom, she will try to become like her Mom. Sorry but I see red flags going down this path.

Yes. I think it would be good for her dad to get her some therapy, if he hasn't already. Maybe not every week but you know, a check in every month or so. Some people think well if your mom died when you were a baby you never knew her so the death isn't as traumatic. But she seems to be very much feeling she is "different" because of it and the older she gets the more she will understand how much she has lost in not having a mom. Therapy could help her channel those feelings productively as she grows up instead of doing something less than desirable to try to feel closer to her mom or numb the pain.

I feel very sorry for Dannielynn and glad her father is so devoted. Hope she's out of the public eye after this Guess stint. She will have a lot to contend with once she realizes the infamy surrounding her mother's life.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

This has a lot of parallels to the Gosselins because someday Dannelynn will be old enough to google and realize there was a lot of controversy about her mom, she did a lot of questionable things, and a lot of people didn't like her. Just like someday the Gosselins will be old enough to realize that Kate was not very well liked by most people and was down to about six fans toward the end. Even if there were no non-fan blogs, there are plenty of snarky, nasty media articles about her.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I wouldn't go so far to say she was a good mother, Just curious. I just said she respected him enough to kept him off her reality show when he didn't want to be. In that sense, she made a good decision.

Anonymous said...

Of course danilynn misses her mon! Her room is plastered with her photos and has a shrine to Anna nicole. What if being a Guess model isn't enough for her to feel close? Then what? Drugs? I hate to say it but its inevitable.

She's worth 10 million. Why should SHE work for her own security? Let Larry get a job and support his child. Doing the Guess ad won't do anything but make her famous and more sought out by advertisers who want to cash in on her noteriaty. A child shouldn't HAVE noteriaty, nor should a CHILD be used by companies for their own financial gain. Does anybody think Guess actially cares about this little girl?

Larry is good looking and seems nice enough to find a decent woman. However, he seems obsessed with Anna Nichole and, even though she dumped him and denied his peternaty, I get the feelng no other woman will be able to live up to this expectations.

The only good thing about this child working is that Guess will get richer and publicity. Encouaging a little Girl to "do things with her dead mother" cannot end good. Larry doesn't seem liike the most intelligent man and I believe he is being taken advantage of as well.

Drug-addiction might make Danilynn feel closer to Anna. So might "being sexy" and letting others expoloit her weaknessess.

IMO, this is the epitome of child exploitation, as well as exploiting the memory of a sad woman who was taken advantage of by the people she trusted most.

Adoring, protective, devoted...these are not how I'd describe Anna Nicole Smith as a mother. Even the suggestion that she demonstrated respect for her son is a stretch. AN was well and truly gone on celebrity & substance abuse, and her kids were accessories (but mostly impediments) to her chosen lifestyle.

She's gone now, RIP, but death in no way erases the legacy of destruction she left behind.

Following the links about Katie's bog job got me to this site:
http://healthland.time.com/2012/10/19/how-to-starve-the-trolls/
Trolls really are sick individuals. And they say like attracts like thus explaining the uncommonly aggressive sheeple trolls who then attract the non-sheeple trolls. Puzzling on why people find ways to waste energy and life, it's an illness like Katie's narcissistic personality. Sad how people enjoy hurting others.
It's like how Katie has done the figurative sticking out her tongue going nanny nanny boo boo to her estrange family and friends. She's only good to anyone if there is something in it for her then it's spite and or cold shoulder time. Lucky most of us can write those type of toxic folks out of our lives but with the 8, Jon and Shirley's daughter not really possible.
Sorry starting to ramble but found it interesting that reading about Katie ran me right into the toll of trolls on those on the internet.

If you've never been down here for Carnival, put it on your bucket list, its a must see.

Wow, I bet KKG would love to mingle with all the big celebs that are expected. I can see her saying "Um Superbowl, yeah um its about um throwing a ball um or something like that."

I know this is not going to sit well with a lot of people but in my opinion therapists just really do not know how to help children yet. Raising a GS that was in desperate need of therapy, which I sought out and got tons of it, I can say, that therapy does not really help. But, what it does do is the give the concerned parent another layer of support a form of backup and reassurance that you are doing all that you can for your child.

My GS came from a very rough place for a child to be and the one and only therapist that ever helped him was one who was able to get down on his knee, take him by the hand and look him in the eye and say, I know how you feel, I've been there. Having been present, I saw the wave of relief that went through him upon hearing those words. That one therapist impacted him greatly, to know that he was not alone and that others out there had some of his same feelings. But, behold, the system is such in mental health that therapists come and go and he learned not to get attached and looks at them with a jaded eye as he knows that they may well be here today and gone tomorrow.

Having witnessed some of his therapists at work, I could see how it would be ineffective as they were what I call "textbook" therapists, who were unable to adapt to each individual and gave a blanket type of support wherein any child in any given situation would receive the same therapy.

I don't think a lot of research has gone into providing therapy for children and they receive a graded down presentation from that of an adult to a child, language wise. They are speaking to a child who has been through hell and knows a thing or two about life and the grownup world as though he didn't haven't enough sense to come in out of the rain.

I still get counseling for him though in spite of the fact that he said to me at an early age, Mom, I hate to tell you this, but counseling doesn't really help, I just say it does because I know that is what you want to hear. I get it for him primarily as an outlet where he receives one on one attention being the sole focus of that one person''s attention for that period of time. That is what children crave more than anything; they want to be heard. Having learned that from the child himself, that is method I use to help him. I quit my job when I took him to raise and gave him lots and lots of attention and he has turned out very well for what he has been through in his short little life. I still give him lots and lots of attention as a teen and I can truthfully say that he is in a better place with his mindset than I ever expected from where he started.

Trying to catch up on all of the comments, but never seem to have much time anymore.

Anyway, aside from all of the great comments that have been posted, my main issue with Kate now and then, is that the kids were the device from day one to support the family. She never made it easy for Jon to work (asking that he quit his job so he could help her), in spite of all of the help she had.

One thing I am quite sure of by now is that ALL of the Gosselin kids most likely want some privacy and have more than earned it, so they can grow and mature as normal kids do without either parent putting private information out there. These kids have been through enough and have to deal day to day with "reality," unlike their selfish self-absorbed mother, who uses these kids day in and out to remain relevant.

Have these children not earned a right to privacy by now, after all Kate and Jon put them through? If not, when does it stop so Kate can continue to get attention without her kids. She needs to back off, get a life, and stop blasting her kids' private moments and quotes every second on twitter and now her new blog.

Why can't she get a job, talk about herself, her flaws, etc... and leave the kids out of it?She has been out of the spotlight for ages, yet includes her kids every step of the way.

She clearly needs to find some kind of job that gives the kids a break from her chronic embarrassing comments, get a life that does not traumatize/expose them, and move on with her life.

Cook, runner, celebrity, etc.. start talking about yourself Kate, and give the kids a permanant break and the privacy they have more than earned. Sorry, but I can not believe that over 8 years later, any decent mother is still relying on her children to support her. Blog or not, leave them out of it. Enough already for the kids' sakes.

As for blog wars/disputes, I think most people posting on blogs think Kate's exploitation of her kids, 8 years later is too much. With not much releavant news about Kate, I do hate to see people turn on each other. In either instance, although blogs are different,I do respect people's right to express differences, including other sites.

As for those "outed," I do feel the blog should have been put on moderation, after the attacks and personal information were posted. I think Admin gets it, made a decision, and not the best one for the regular outed posters, as well as all of the "regular" posters.

Admin- I am not disrepecting you, I enjoy this site a lot, but trying to look at different perspective, where people want to feel "safe" with blogs with all of the craziness going on. I know you get it, but hoping some of the regulars ( Auntie Anne, etc... return eventually, if at all, once they feel safe.) Or maybe they never will, but some of them were great posters.

I followed the Anna Nicole saga pretty closely. My friend and I were addicted to Court TV during the trial on where Anna should have been buried. Her mother, cousin and Judge Seidlin were strange/interesting characters.

There were a few blogs about the entire Anna Nicole story and they got pretty raunchy. No inbetween on them at all. Can't say they were more out there than the sheeple but they were close. My family happened to go a cruise during the court case and you could see the courthouse from where the ship was docked. We took a carriage down the street the courthouse was on and saw Howard and Larry along with some of those bloggers. That will be my one and only cruise, not a fan.

I haven't been able to decide about Larry one way or another. Nobody is perfect, he's done some things that made him look bad. Kinda like Jon, every move he made was scrutinized, sensationalized and evaluated. Things that if it was some person out of the limelight nobody would have thought twice about it. Still being iffy about Larry but think it's nice of him to let Howard Stern see Dannielynn and he does seem to be a very involved Dad that loves his daughter. Just read recently that Howard Stern sold Anna's house in California and that money will go directly into Dannielynn's trust.

Addiction seems to run in Anna's family. I hope Dannielynn isn't exposed to too much too soon. We have all read the stories about child actors, reality stars etc., that started doing drugs as young as eight years old and I pray things don't go in that direction for her. She's a beautiful little girl that doesn't need anymore heartache.

I wish schools wouldn't do things specific to a mother, father or grandparents being involved. There are so many children that don't have one or another and I could see how painful that would be for a child.

In comparing Sachi's experience of growing up with a celebrity mom, what leaps out at me, is how much sicker the G's story is. SM's fame was a product of her own talent. If it is true that SM made the comment that she was never going to put children before her career, SM can point to that as a clear reason for her mental and emotional state. And, she will get agreement from the universe.

By contrast, J&K became famous because of their children, and every opportunity that came their way was directly attributable to the kids. They are growing up in a more toxic environment because their internal feelings and experience doesn't sync up with the life that their parents have claimed they were living. Living as a 'happy family", acting as if Mom and Dad are together, even exchanging vows when J&K were separated, is emotionally abusive. Add to that, Kate's uber controlling mothering, and obsession with appearance over substance and you have a recipe for emotional abuse.

At least the kids will have ample evidence of the abuse--blogs have been documenting it for years, as well as Kate's own journals. It isn't much, but it will certainly make it easier for their future therapists to get a handle on the origins for depression, eating disorders, self-mutilation, aggression, substance abuse et al.

I am still in contact with many of my former clients who are a)alive and b) doing well in their lives. They could have committed suicide but chose not to. They could have quit hoping and given up. There is a certain creep factor to Howard Stern. I think he was incredibly in love with Anna but Anna wasn't in love with him aside from a friendship type. I don't know how to word correctly what their relationship seemed to be. I also think she may have lead him on including, not giving sexual favors, but sharing a little too sexually "friendly" things. Shared a little more of herself than she should have when she knew how he loved her? I think his love for her that started as a true love somewhere got twisted into something else, but I don't believe he would do anything malicious to her. Then there's the times I think I think too much!

There was an episode of her show where he wanted a kiss on the lips, I think it was Christmas, and she said ewww or something like that. He got a strange look on his face that could have meant many things.

Anna seemed to have a sadness about her even with her smiling face and joking. Just a sad story all around, including how her family treated her. Here I go thinking again, but I think she was much smarter than people give her credit for.

3. Will it have that oily greasy look like the Paris PAsta did?
4. How many cans will she have had to open to make this item from scratch?

and then it opened... WHAT?!?!?!?!!??! A pizza?!?!?!?!?

So, as excited as she is about this, does that mean the last posted pictures of pizza crusts ( not the one being made by mr .Smith) were not being made by her? and we have all made pizza from scratch. If this is what she feels is an excellent example of homemade, then she is showing her true colors. A cook she is NOT. It does not look pretty, the cheese was starting to burn. And why no veggies, organic healthy eater you are???

Apparantly she had 3 kids home at supper, but all 8 were tucked into bed later.

For example, on Grandparent's Day, if the child doesn't have one, or their grandparents live far away, others are invited to share the day. This may be aunts, uncles, or even a special neighbor who is a friend. If nobody is available for the child, the school makes sure that someone is there, whether it's another teacher, an upper school student, or a substitute teacher who is called in. These people make the child feel that he/she is not alone.

Why does it seem to me that Kate is the personification of the "dumb blonde"?(No offense meant to any of the posters here who may be blonde). She has to ask her tweeties what time and channel the game is on. Oh, poor helpless Kate--she can't even check the guide on her TV or use Google to find out the game time. Yet her tweeties jump right in to tell her. It's just like when she tweeted about it being so cold, or about looking for a movie-she figures it'll keep her tweeties occupied for a while and she won't have to respond to any of them, while they're busting their butts to get the info to her. It's really pretty funny when you think about it.

She's not interested in the Super Bowl-she just wants to pretend that she's having a SB party, because her tweeties are talking about it. She's trying to be one of the gang, and seems to be failing miserably.

IDModo, if you will notice I said that I still get therapy for my son and that it is a source of reassurance for me as a parent that I am doing all I can for my son and that is all any of us can do. I think the problem lies more in the fact that you lay your heart out for one and then out of left field you are expected to lay your heart out for another, as they seem to come and go, without notice, and/or the insurance disallows it as though a child needs therapy at 11:59 pm and at 12:01 am he is cured. I don't see that the fault of any one therapist but more of a system wide type of problem. I am not disparaging against therapy, as a whole, just there may not be that breakthrough moment as some people might expect and/or if so rarely. I stand by my contention that it is the one on one attention that is most helpful, and the fact that a child has a chance to be heard. I also stand by my statement that there needs to be more research in how to treat children as I personally think they should be more straight forward, and not skirt the issue, but come right out with it. You had terrible things happen to you and it was NOT YOUR FAULT and let's work together to help you get through this so you can have peace of mind. And might I add, thank you for devotion to children who need this; it cannot be an easy job, I am sure.

Close to everything, seems very secluded, has pool, complimentary breakfast and complimentary happy hour! They have parking lot at nominal charge, but when we went it was June, off season for them, and they gave us parking with no extra charge. NICE staff, gave us great tips on attractions. Check out a day trip to the Dry Tortugas National Park and Fort Jefferson, esp if you like Civil War history. It's a long boat ride but well worth it! I love Key West Hemingway House, all of it!

I don't think Kate is a dumb blonde. I think she is smart. She gets others to watch her kids, do house repairs, get trips, gets stuff all for free. All the while she banks her own money and uses other peoples money to get what she wants. She was smart enough to devise a master plan to get everything she ever wanted out of life, regardless of the people she hurt or lives she ruined along the way.

Kate IS dumb in that she is not aware of anything or anybody other than herself.

Re Anna Nicole, I got the name of the second husband wrong. I went back to the NY Times which had good summary, and Allison Frankel s On The Case had a summary too.
Anna Nicole (real name Vickie Lynn Smith) married Howard Marshall in Texas. He was patriarch of a family with an oil company. He died in Texas where they had been married and where he lived most of his life. Anna and one of his sons was left nothing. Pierce Marshall, the son who did inherit and was executor of the estate, stated his father gave Anna Nicole $8 million during their marriage (which was about six months I think) and did not intend to give her any more. Texas probate court agreed with Pierce Marshall.
Anna Nicole declared bankruptcy in California. The California bankruptcy court said she should have received money from her husbands estate. Anna Nicole's case them went to the Supreme Court the FIRST time, joined by the Bush administration (no joke!) Because they wanted to establish the right to appeal a probate court decision. The Supreme Court said YES, there is a right to appeal probate decision.
So back to court in Texas she went.
She, and then her restate, was awarded some millions. BUT it was appealed again and went back to the Supreme Court. This time they ruled against her estate. The Supreme Court said the California bankruptcy judge overstepped his jurisdiction in awarding an amount from the Marshall estate. So Anna Nicole s estate will NOT get any more money from the Marshall family.

I had some catching up to do here. But, I got all the comments read. Hubby is at a Super Bowl party. I don't care so much about the game -- the food, maybe. It was a perfect quiet time to enjoy the new post.

Joy -- thanks for the thumbnail of Anna Nicole. I didn't know those details. I saw one of her shows and she was eating at some outdoor pizza restaurant with her son and friends. She went off on everyone. I still remember thinking she was influenced by some substance. I never saw another one of her reality shows. It was obvious that she was living a train wreck life.

It's funny how many things I am remembering about this now that I am thinking about it again. I also vaguely remember some awards show where Anna Nicole came out and was just completely TRASHED, i mean practically falling over, and I remember that was the talk for weeks about what a wreck she was.

By that way it's not posthumously idolization. I was making a comment about one aspect her relationship with Daniel when I first observed it. I thought the same thing when she was alive. I disapprove of most everything else she's ever done but no person is all evil or all good.

Pity Party, I'm sorry I jumped on you. The issues are different here in Canada as therapy is paid for through our national health plan and therapists don't usually stop therapy until it's done, unless they are proponents of short-term therapy, which I totally disagree with.

What you are describing about how therapists should work is how myself and my colleagues at the Children's Mental Health Centre did, in fact, work with kids. Abused and troubled kids need to know that they are SAFE, that it's not their fault, that an adult is looking after them so that they can be kids, and that they can say anything in confidence without fear of repercussions.

There are incompetent jerks in all professions, and I know that therapy has more than its share. We don't disagree on that! But some of us are competent, caring, and good at our jobs.

I am now retired and I miss my job a lot...

In all fairness, though, it's a school night. The kids are in their pajamas. I doubt that they would have friends over on a school night. I think that the treadmill is in the basement, so if they are eating at the little table watching television, Kate isn't too far away.

What's frustrating is every time I see a pic of the kids there are some that I barely recognize. They are really growing up. Many others have said it before but if she would stop plastering their faces everywhere they might have a CHANCE to grow up and not be recognized all the time. But since she's hellbent on reminding us of what they look like all the time, forget it.

The pic is so staged. First, what kid wants to watch the superbowl. The kid whose parents are into the game watch, and mostly to have fun w/their parents. Second, if it was a party, all the kids I know eat food all over the room (on the couch, on the floor, on a blanket, on their lab; not crowded around one tiny table.). And finally, good grief, kids eat their food at different start times and different rates. These kids were told to go here, look at the camera, don't eat until Mommy says you can. Smile for the camera.

I don't think those little doughy things that look like little penises were store bought. I can't imagine a store selling anything that looks like that. She did say that the dip was a recipe from one of the tweeties. I remember her saying that she made it before. It doesn't look like there would have been room at that table for Kate.

It must just be me, and even though Kate is insane, isn't the nitpicking about this just a tad overkill? I mean...no matter what she planned for the Super Bowl, she's damned if she does, and damned if she doesn't.

My only hope is that Kate allowed each child to select the amount of dip, salsa, veggies and

It could be she let them serve themselves and they automatically went to a table because they know that works for them. If so, great!

Is there anything in those glasses? They look empty to me, but my eyesight is poor.

Probably the only time I felt bad for Anna Nichole was when I saw the picture of her cradling Daniel, after he had died in her hospital room. It was not a morbid picture, just very, very sad.

I have no doubt that she loved her son, but I think she raised him in a very chaotic environment.

Anna was a very irrisponsible woman. I think what really makes it worse is that she couldn't clean up her act after losing one child and giving birth to her daughter. I know she was distraught over Daniel but she had little Danielle (sp?) to raise. You would think that Daniel's untimely death would have been a huge wake up call for her.

I hope that Danielle's father will be more responsible with her. That poor child deserves a good life and a good father after all the death that happened shortly after she was born.

Offering my 2 cents a bit late re Anna Nicole as a mother. I know she became a mom at a very young age. I believe she deeply and unconditionally loved her son, Daniel, but that didn't prevent her from making many bad choices in her life. I won't pass judgment on her - because when I think of her life, I see it as a tragedy. Rough beginning, rapid rise to fame and fortune, not enough smarts and/or wherewithal to handle the rapid rise, the fear and need to stay skinny and beautiful, hence the drug use. The endless mockery in the tabloids. The marriage to that old geezer. I think the rock in her life was her son Daniel, and when he killed himself, she just couldn't face her life without him. It just makes me sad, and I can't sit in judgment of her, as I had so much more than she ever did in terms of family love and support.

I don't agree with the dad's decision to allow his daughter to be in a Guess ad. I hope that's it and she is kept out of the public eye until she turns 18 and can make her own decisions. Sounds as if the little girl is financially set, so there is no need to put her out for public consumption. Lots of children have only one parent - with the right nurturing environment, she can thrive.

Danielynn's father has gone to great lengths to keep his daughter in the public eye. The little girl has been on every tabloid tv show there is...many times too. And I have seen her on tv at celebrity's kid birthday party. She has been in many, many magazines.

I saw the 20/20 program and the kid's closet is very hugh packed with beautiful expensive shoes and clothes. Their home has many movie size posters of Anna in all her sexy outfits and poses. Plus other photos of Anna throughout their home. Anna is thrown in the child's face at every turn.

Anna's son did not kill himself. He took methadone and another pill that Anna had in the hospital room that he slept in that night.

The child should be in girl scouts not following her sick mother's life path. Anna was a very hard drug user for decades. She slept around freely. She was in Playboy. It was rumored that she slept with some high powered person in the Bahama's in the last months of her life so she could become a citizen. Howard and her claimed a multi-million home was theirs and was given to them as a gift and it wasn't. The owners simply let Anna live there. Anna had Howard go national on Larry King claiming he was the father when he knew he wasn't. The reason was Anna wanted to continue the drugs and she knew Larry wouldn't like it and wouldn't like Danni be around that. So Anna plotted a permanent move to the Bahama to totally block Larry from his daughter.

Shame on Larry. He is doing horrible damage to his daughter. Mark my words, we will see and hear about Dannilynn for decades to come and it won't be good.

For those interested-you can see all of the Super Bowl commercials here:

I didn't see all of them, but my favorite one is the Budweiser:Horse story(on the 1st page). Another good one was the Jeep:Welcome Home Heroes(on the 2nd page). The God made a farmer one was great also.

Since I'm not a football fan, I have no reason to cry during a game, but these commercials definitely made me tear up.

I have a hard time understanding mainstream huge superstars like Beyonce. It's too much for me. I like to appreciate a song without the gimmicks. For the Canadians on here, recently I've been really into the Wailin' Jennys. They are just so darn genuine.

Although I do have to say I think Halo is a gorgeous song. If you hear someone play it on acoustic guitar without the silly over the top track, it's beautiful.

Kate's response:
No.These are impostors and need to remove accounts now.

I don't know that the tweeter was implying that Jon let's them have twitter behind Kate's back. I think they just meant, since there are two parents, maybe the other parent let them have it.

Also, wasn't there some hoopla last year about these Twitter accounts impersonating the twins? And Kate asked Twitter then to remove them (except she didn't use the correct @)?
Did they not get removed? Or were they removed, and then they came back?
I'm sure I remember this from a while ago, something about her going on about that the twins do *not* have Twitter accounts.

See I think trying to blame Jon is throwing him under the bus and trying to draw her down the rabbit hole of trashing him. This is their M.O. they LOVE it. Kate said it was an impostor so why would they assume it could be Jon?

These accounts were brought to kk's attention back in Sept. If I were a tweeter and true concerned parent, I would have been determined to have those accounts suspended....follow-up. And when the time came, I would create those same accounts and put an end to it once and for all. I wouldn'care if it was 1 or a a 100. kk can cry foul any way she wants to, but she needed to strike while the iron was hot! There was even an account for Jon in the fake account tweets in Sept 2012.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

She could sue. It would be very easy to call up Laverne and Shirley and have them fire off a letter to twitter to remove the accounts. Done.

She will go to great legal lengths for herself, but when it involves her kids she just putters around whining at people to remove the accounts.

The account for @Cara_Gosselin_ has been active for more than a year, and has 189 followers. “Cara” tweets about such typical tween interests as listening to Taylor Swift and Adele, watching Pretty Little Liars and “eat[ing] nutella out of the jar” with Mady. The tweeter also includes family pictures.

It shouldn't take her TWO years to remove her child's fake account. What the heck!

Twitter needs to take fake accounts down immediately. Not a year later, not two years later, not when they get around to it. I hate twitter sometimes.

There are several fake twitter accounts in each of the twin's names. You would think Kate would do a twitter search to find these impostors and have twitter take them down.

I think you have to go through legal channels like sending a letter to their legal department. Surely a celeb has to be able to have some recourse for taking down a fake account, right? I guess I can see how it would be a full time job for 100 people to try to keep up with fake accounts.

Fake accounts are one of the worst problems in social media and no one seems to want to try to fix the problem.

She still would have rooted for the Patriots because she probably would have thought the Giants were from San Francisco (confused with MLB). I was surprised that she rooted for anyone at all. I remember some time ago, Milo was discussing football and Kate had tweeted that she had no interest whatsoever in the game. Milo was trying to make a fan out of her, telling her she didn't know what she was missing, and was trying to teach her some football lingo.

The only reason Kate showed any interest this year was because she thought her tweeties expected her to do so...making party food, taking a picture, so she could be praised for having a family fun football night.

I think it makes many of us shake our heads-- how the media ignored the corporal punishment that Kate's kids were subject to. Mr. Spanker was a weapon used to hurt the kids, let's face it.
A swat to the hiney is one thing, but using an implement where the adult feels *nothing" when hitting on a helpless, defenseless kids is another thing entirely.
To all those women out there who think/thought Kate was sooooo amazing, being a mom of 8. "How do you do it?". Duh. You want to use a wooden spoon on your kid? Yeah, I'll bet they'll happy up too and not dare step out of line, unless they've got a real spiteful streak in them.

A little OT, but for anyone who loves to read, I have a book to recommend. I just finished reading this one, not too long ago and it was very entertaining. It was written by Linda Greenlaw who is a fisherman (fisherwoman?) in Maine. She has been the captain of a swordfish boat and a lobster boat. Anyway, she has written about half a dozen books but this one is her first, called "Lobster Chronicles". It is very funny and very educational. It's mostly set on this island off the coast of Maine where she and her family live. It focuses on the characters who live on the island and Linda's first season back at lobstering after being away from it for a few years.

The people on the island are a riot. Linda is very witty and the way she writes about them is laugh out loud funny. But the way she describes them is with affection and love, she is no way making fun of them.

I could kick myself, because Linda was in my city about 2 years ago, at a local book store for an appearance, and I didn't get a chance to get over there and meet her.

I've got family in NJ where property taxes are astronomical and I've heard of people doing this. Get chickens and call it a farm for a tax break. Makes sense too, because having a couple chickens and fresh eggs when you have little kids is a great experience for them, but 30+ chickens? She's never going to use all those eggs.

2. Just because her taxes are that amount doesn't mean that she's not getting a tax break. They could have gone up to $18,000 WITHOUT claiming it's a farmette, but shows as $16,000 + because she's claiming agricultural usage, a reduction of two thousand dollars from what it normally would be.

Milo is nuts. No question about it. Her family was stalked, and yet she condones Kate putting the kids out there for every weird person, and Milo herself is a champion busybody who wants to know everything about Kate (and Deanna) and the kids.

Who would want to stalk Milo? Something is very wrong with the whole Milo scenario, and this latest story about being stalked makes me think that she really is in some kind of facility.

For Kate's sake and the kids' sake, if Kate really has a security team, I hope Milo is on the top of the list.
