ABC officially announces Kate on 'Wife Swap'

After months of rumors, it's official. Kate will swap places with Kendra Wilkinson on the premiere of Celebrity Wife Swap, February 26th. The poor Gosselin kids. And poor Hank Jr.!

I didn't mean to put you in a bad position Admin. And I wasn't upset at the google it advice either.

I hope people decided to google it.

Question me too. It would just be a shame to get into legal trouble all because of Kate when there are plenty of great sites that can guide you into avoiding most of that. I know I certainly did quite a bit of reading about blogs and the state of libel law as this blog was evolving to make sure we were in a good place and reasonably protected. Not worth it to take chances. I still couldn't stop a few C&D's and so on, but that's all it ever got to, nothing more nothing less. Also it's been very helpful that most people here are very cooperative when it comes to respecting libel laws. No apology necessary, it was a good reminder.

As Flight of the Kiwi used to say, "Blame it on the Ambien." No, his story makes no sense at all.

Why would a criminal be in the master bath? Wouldn't you be looking for the safe or the jewels or money? Never heard of a bathroom bandit!

Unless he was looking for Dmasy's ambien!

Makes me sad, and yet isn't this yet another reminder to be careful who are heroes are. It's fine to admire people's talents but when you start thinking they are immortal or perfect you will be disappointed. Lance Armstrong, now this guy, and many others.

Dmasy mentioned how different the kids look. They should...they are almost nine and 13 now. Gee, I hope the six pack didn't pull out the baby talk for this filming, though. I wouldn't put it past Kate to have coached them to do so.

If you were after drugs or illegal narcotics you might be in the bathroom...or maybe the jacuzzi looked inviting after a hard day on the streets as a career criminal! :)

I asked the original question about libel. Sorry to cause such trouble. Another blog was saying it was fine to say anything you like as long as you say allegedly or in my opinion in front of it.

I know that to be wrong and I just wanted to let them know in a way that was not direct as to not step on anyone's toes.

Speaking for myself, I don't think there was any problem with your question. The problem was the anonymous comment that was basically an insane tirade. I think some posters got the 2 comments mixed up and are blaming you for the tirade.

I think when a person gets a C&D it's a good idea to question yourself and get legal advice (if you aren't a lawyer or married to one) to see if it is frivolous or if you are crossing a line that could get you in to trouble. I think they should be taken seriously until a legal professional tells you that you are in the clear.

I think some of the sheeple are going to be shocked at how un-cute 9 and 13 year olds are. This is not a slam at the kids, its just a simple fact. 9 and 13 year olds are ANYTHING but cute. This is totally the smart-allecky, I'm not a baby anymore so stop treating me like one, I'm finding my own voice age that I think is a fun time, but that for people who just like cute cuddly things may detest. Personally I like these ages but not because they are "cute."

------------------

From what I could tell, posters on another blog did an amazing job with screengrabs, saving timelines, documenting everything that happened as it went down...not only with an alleged hacker, but with everyone involved. They were right on top of it, and if anyone, including law enforcement needs it, it's all there. They didn't fool around, but saw what was happening and acted accordingly before those tweets were deleted.

The one thing that bothers me about Pistorius' story is that if you thought that there was an intruder in your house, wouldn't your first thought be to make sure your loved ones were safe? Yet he claims he didn't realize that she wasn't in the bed? Why didn't he worry about where she was, before shooting through the bathroom door?

I agree, Admin, it makes no sense at all.

Not to take a sheep's side. But I think the cuteness factor will come into play with just the general viewer. The diehard Sheep are going to be happy to see those kids even when they are 40.

Anyone who wishes to avoid seeing Kate's smug face better stay away from ABC from now until Tuesday. I am watching my DVR'd programs and she is popping up in 5 second promos.

Admin, is the word "gawky" from my generation? Still used?

It describes that awkward physical stage when kids are between cute babes and teen attractive.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Right! Wouldn't the FIRST thing you do is look beside you, touch your lover's arm and say shhh shhh don't make a sound I hear someone in the bathroom!! Instead he doesn't "notice" she wasn't in bed??? Huh? How do you not notice a 120 pound woman lying beside you? I always am aware of even my 10 pound dog being in the bed, I just know if he's there or not. Maybe that's a woman thing being in tune but I don't buy it.

There is a new post! You can discuss this further if you wish, or use it for general discussion.

I have heard my fair share of stupid stories so I feel rather experienced in this. Perhaps a better story would be that she did leave for the night, promised him she wasn't coming back that night, and that he didn't know she was back in the house. Maybe she told him she was leaving but ended up just sleeping downstairs.

I suppose there might be security cameras to verify that, so that might not work. But it would be a better story than where it stands now at least! He has to get rid of the I didn't notice she wasn't in the bed BS.

Admin, you certainly are doing the right think by not getting involved with any legal questions or advice. I thing you run a very respectable blog here and first time you do, someone like Anon will take that and run with it.
Nurses don't know every disease and ever drug on the market but there are people who believe we should know it all. Just not realistic. I still have to pull out a PDR when I have to administer a drug I'm not familiar with. That is what is expected of us. If someone comes in with a disease we don't see often, info is printed from internet or nursing book and passed on to all who care for that patient.
Ok, gonna shut up now.
Oh, Lucbandit so happy you are being discharged, best of luck and take care.

Grandee, thanks. The law has always reminded me a lot of medicine because a lot of the times even if you DO know something about it, there are no clear answers. In both areas the answer so often is, it depends, or it's hard to say or maybe, possibly, I dont know, I think.

People sometimes don't like that kind of vagueness, they want an answer and they want a clear one. Sometimes it just can't be given or if it is, that person probably doesn't know what they are doing anyway.

When you take 2 very high profile, high maintenance people who are in very stressful positions that require such discipline in all phases of this position you have 2 turbulent people who are A+ personalities. Sure they loved passionately and fought just as passionately. Extremely sad. To see the young woman alive, laughing, looking beautiful and seeming to have such a sweet personality just brought that whole situation so close that I almost started to cry. Don't know if showing her show is a must be I guess business is business but seeing her waving, saying goodbye, throwing a kill certainly brought this murder case home to me. They were real people who probably had separate worlds and excelled in their worlds and I do give her credit for standing by him and I would guess he was always questioning her fidelity when he still had this disability of no legs, when those blades come off he is still disabled. We think he overcame this with those blades but knowing so much about prosthetics I know he still had pain and he fought thru that pain on those blades. Who knows what type of medical help he had to withstand that pain? Just extremely sad when you see her, so alive and now gone. We see so much and read so much about death and dying of people everyday and here is this couple so far from where I am and seeing her alive brought me to tears, reality. Is nothing ever as it appears? You would have thought they had all the happiness in the world but it is fleeting isn't it.

I'll go back to my old question from 'Z on TV' a couple years ago...WHO IS SHE DOING WHAT TO OR FOR that she keeps getting recognized and rewarded for?????? ?? Borrowed my $-sign concept from back then too for the ?-marks...
that's six up front for the 'tups/littles' and the two after thoughts for the 'twins' (you know, the way she sees and thinks of them).
