When "Sister Wives" went to [DELETED] Elementary School to film a Valentine's Day dance last week, some parents objected and lodged complaints with the school, citing privacy. Several other shows have filmed at the school and the parents want the school to change its filming policy.
According to TMZ, TLC had no comment. But a rep for the school district said, "The district heard the concerns of the parents involved and considered them when developing [the] compromise. In the past few months, we've had the Ellen show, ABC News, Oxygen Network, and countless local broadcasts filmed at our schools. TLC and the Brown family deserved the same."
Production reportedly donated $500 to the school.
Stand strong on the side of privacy, good parents. Four major productions have filmed at your school in just a few months plus local news outlets? Outrageous.

You can do whatever you want. Buy one day, pack the next. Pack one week, buy the next. Buy only one day a month if that's what you want to do. You can pack your own sandwich, and buy chips, dessert or beverage at school.
There is always one featured entree of the day which is included in the hot combo, but the type of combos are the same - the soup and sandwich combo, hot combo, cold combo, pasta combo. The soup and sandwich may vary within the combo from day to day, but it's always soup and sandwich.
There is enough of a variation and menu choices for everyone.
I just wanted to add to the lunch discussion...
This is not the typical cafeteria-style lunches we had when we were kids. Back then, the menu for the month was handed out. We stood in line with trays. Your choice really wasn't a choice - you got what you got and you didn't get upset. One day it might have been soup, grilled cheese, tater tots, pudding and milk. That's it. If you didn't like it, you knew ahead of time what was on the menu, and you packed your lunch.
The lunches today are more like a buffet with so many options that there is something for everyone, with a nice selection of ala carte items that can be purchased if a student doesn't want to go with the $4.45 combos.
At this private school maybe it's like that. And that's great. At many public schools out here it's still the same old line-up like when we were kids. And often, the same old crappy unhealthy food. I remember thinking most of school lunch was GROSS, and why should a kid ever feel that way about food if it's decent and healthy? I love what Jamie Oliver is trying to do.

From what she wrote, it sounds like the kids would be getting almost too much food. In my head (not a mom, so you can correct me) a "normal" school lunch might be a sandwich, chips, fruit (or cookie) and drink. 4 "courses" as opposed to 7 plus the snacks. Curious about how long the lunch period is; would kids (in general, not just Gs) actually have time to consume all that without rushing like crazy? I wonder if she thinks that lunch is their main meal and that's why she appears to be so stingy about their other meals.
How much did she pay for hair extensions? How much for shoes at a pop? The thing is that she has it for HERSELF but scrimps when it comes to the kids.

She may have told someone about her lunches, but she didn't do the writing. It's too coherent, to grammatically correct, and doesn't contain her signature !!!!!!!!!!!! . And BTW Kate -- a green salad is not a main course.

I'm so glad to hear others do the same - I have sometimes written what I think is a really heartfelt, logical post, gotten to the end of it and thought 'ah hell', it's not worth a reply. Or 'I just don't want to get into this'...... and deleted it without posting it.
Most of the time it's not because I was being a bitch, it was because I 'suddenly' at the end of my post realized that kart is just not worth the effort.
Trolls aside, the posters here seem pretty well-spoken and enjoyable to talk with. But kart, nah, she 'ain't' worth the effort.

Not sure if someone mentioned it yet but, the episode where Kate got her house power washed. That freebie.
Also I wanted to mention that in that episode, Aiden wanted to ride his car over the hose. He followed Kate around trying to ask permission. It broke my heart that a child would have to fear running over a hose without permission. By the way, Kate kept shooing him off. He asked Alexis how she got her car over it but got brushed off by her. Poor little guy. Finally Kate looked at the camera like Aiden was such an idiot to ask such a simple question and told him yes. Precious thing got in his motorized car, another gift, and "bumped", as he called it, over the hose.
It just kills me that these precious souls have to live in such fear.
Also in that episode, Kate kept barking orders for the kids to turn on the water. It wasn't screwed on the spout properly and she kept complaining and yelling, and squealing at the kids because the water wasn't coming out like she wanted. It brings me to tears to think of those kids fear just to make it through the day. All kids want to do is make their parents happy.
I know this is long but one more question. It is 12:51pm here. I spelled it right. Snark on me. What time is it where Dr. Drew show comes on at 3:00 pm. I always get confused. Not dumb, just crazy. Ok, no more stupid jokes.
