Police called during brutal custody exchange of Hannah

For years, Hannah has always been one of the
most affectionate children toward Jon.
The scene was so contentious reports are Hannah had to be taken to the hospital after Kate tried to pull her out of Jon's vehicle by the arm.

@AuntieAnn Im not sure if you were around when this happen but back in January of 2016 Deanna went on twitter and started defending Kate when Jon came out and said on Steve Harvey's show that he doesn't see all his kids.kate was getting replies from some people who kept telling her to let Jon see his children and this is where Deanna came to Kate's defense and claim that Jon didn't give all his kids Christmas presents and claimed how she talks to the kids daily and sees the parent who cares about them. After that happen Deanna went private and deleted the tweets.Needless to say she's been silent and seems to have been replace by Ronny. In face here's an example of what she was tweeting about where she talked about the presents

Confused,

I don't know which incident was which, but I know Jon said on his FB that he called the cops because it was his custody time.
-----
But which incident was that? There were three in August according to the gossip rags.

In the incident where there's a transcript that KIAT posted, Kate said this was her week. That's when she was trying to extricate Hannah from the car. That incident is also where Kate called the police to set up a place for the exchange.

Jon called the police when Kate's lawyer showed up, somewhere...the dentist office?

That was the second time, at the orthodontist.
The first time was in the parking lot and she would not get out to go to her mom's.

BTW it's Tuesday...wonder what will go down today

Hi everyone, just checking in after a truly awful, awful weekend. We have had 45 inches of rain. Yes, that's right -- 45. We are truly blessed to be dry and at this point I think we will remain dry. We drove around a little this morning and we are literally blocked in in every direction with creeks over roads and many, many homes under water. The National Guard is everywhere. My daughter has friends whose home flooded and while being evacuated by boat, the water was to their chin, along with 4 children. It's just disaster everywhere you look. Tragedy upon tragedy. I almost feel guilty that we are dry when you see the amount of human despair. A reservoir is going over its top and the disaster from that if it collapses will be untold. The rains are slowing and we are hopeful that by tomorrow may be out of here but meanwhile it is raining. I am going up to a little local cafe to help while they cook for the first responders in our area. I can't imagine how long it will take for everything to dry up.

AuntieAnn said...

Thanks James, yes I do remember that. She was Kate's flavor of the month back then. Now who the heck is Ronny?

Dmasy said...

OT -- Texas report.

It has stopped raining in our area. The sun is actually shining today. Our local rivers stayed inside their banks.

Houston is a biblical disaster area. It continues to rain there. Two neighbors in our little subdivision have relatives staying with them. Their families were part of the mandatory evacuation.

Kylie -- how are you?

Addicks Dam on the Louisiana side of Houston is overflowing and there are concerns that it will not hold. Should it break, new areas that are already flooded will have water at least 11' higher. Evacuation is taking place this morning.

Texas is showing some amazing stamina. HEB is our huge grocery chain. Texas-based. They are shipping food in emergency service vehicles from the safe cities into the evacuation areas. Local news reports that donations are at an all time high.

No police or National Guard units have been displaced to control violence or looting. There are no reports of looting anywhere.

Our local news has continual reports of bravery, amazing assistance from large companies and kindness. We have a stream of notices telling us how to help and where to donate money or necessary items.

Our little town has a semi leaving this afternoon. All we had to do was take what we wished to donate (items) to the designated truck. It feels so satisfying to be able to do something helpful.

Sad. Sad. Sad.

I was looking back at the sightings of Kate and the kids in NC in July and someone spotted Kate and 6 of the kids. Someone else (besides C) was not there. I definitely think Hannah was not there. I don't know how she/Jon was able to make that happen, but only 6 were seen and only 4 of the tups were shown in the picture Kate posted of them in the water. Do we dare hope that someone is finally listening to Hannah's wishes and taking action on her behalf (legally)? Was this trip meant to be filmed and TLC refused to film with another of the kids missing?
^^^^
I guess it's possible that NC was filmed and I wouldn't put it past Kate to keep the show limping along and try to slap some lipstick on that pig and say, "Hannah wanted to spend more time with her father and while we missed her, I'm glad she's getting to spend time with Jon. As her mother, I want what's best for ALL my kids."
Cue gagging...but it wouldn't surprise me.

When they divorced, Jon wasn't up for any father of the year award and often wasn't in town. I don't find it odd that Kate got legal custody under those circumstances.
^^^^^^
Jon had is eye off the ball during a very crucial period of time.
He wasn't thinking with the...um... correct head.
He had a young chippie, fame still going strong, money in the bank, travel, lots of possible deals to make, and lots and lots of sex.

Jon left himself wide open and Kate the Cunning saw an opportunity and took it.

And then it turned out Jon bought gifts for all kids just didn't send them home with the usual 4 because Kate has the nutjob rule "no stuff daddy bought shall enter this house that is all mine as far as the eyes can see"

I'm glad you can find a way to help. That's exactly what I would want to do in order to do my part- feed, feed and feed some more.

Dmasy, thank you for checking in. I'm so happy you are also not under water and safe.
I can tell you that what you're saying about Texas is translating across our televisions, for us that don't live there.

Texans appear indefatigable, all about pitching in with anything and everything they can and just generally showing the best of what America is all about.
The care of pets has brought tears to my eyes. People sometimes just won't leave without them, and having centers which will have pets will save so many lives.
It's impressive and awe inspiring.
The relative lack of looting, robbing and violence is such a blessing.

I'll never forget images in New Orleans, of people wading through chest deep water holding mink coats over their heads.
The violence and looting was everywhere.

I'm sure this is far from over. We'll pray that the dam doesn't break and that somehow, all this water will drain and allow people to get back to their lives and homes, if that's at all possible.

But my god when a child is in agony not wanting to return to her mother to the point of being abused by her by having her arm yanked so hard she was hospitalized, it's "obstruction of justice."
----

Where's the obstruction of justice? Kate physically pulling Hannah out of the car, which may have led to an injury would more be classified as assault causing bodily injury. The only thing being obstructed was the order by the judge IF, as Kate said, it was her week to have Hannah.

Layla said...

Good to hear from you, Kylie and Dmasy! Texans are a tough bunch, that's for sure. I've been following the situation on the news, and people are getting out there and pulling together and helping one another. That's so good to see.

As far as the custody stuff is concerned, we know that Kate went on vacation in July and only had 6 of her kids. No cameras were reported, and Kate posted a picture of kids in the water. Unusual behavior for her if they're filming. On August 11th a GAL was appointed for Hannah. On Tuesday, August 15th Hannah was with Jon and refused to go back home to Kate. Kate called the police, who contacted Jon and set up a place to hand off Hannah to Kate. That's when Hannah refused to go and Kate tried to forcibly remove H from Jon's car, injuring H's arm. H was taken to the hospital, where Kate claimed Jon was a danger to H and Jon had to leave. That's the day when Kate said :This is my week", which makes it sound like H is now spending alternating weeks with Jon and Kate. Then on August 22nd Kate took H to the orthodontist. Jon was there, and an argument broke out between Jon and Kate over who H would be going home with. The police came, and there was some ambiguity to the custody agreement. H was allowed to choose who she wanted to leave with, and she chose Jon. A lawyer friend of Kate's showed up and threatened Jon, then left. Hannah went home with Jon,

There's a lot of confusion because there were two incidents where the police were involved just one week apart. I hope this doesn't get uglier for Hannah. She seems very clear about whom she wants to be with.

I saw a clip on the news of people being evacuated from a town in TX--they were the ones who refused to leave before the hurricane hit. Every one of them had pets. They risked their lives to stay with their animals rather than leave them and save themselves. It showed the amazing bond between pets and their families. They were wading through the water carrying pet crates and with their dogs on leashes.

Could it be that they switch custody of H on Tuesdays? That would make sense, that way each parent gets a weekend with her. Maybe the confusion on Aug 22 was because he wasn't supposed to get her until later that day, not right after the ortho appointment but perhaps the order didn't mention a specific time?

Yeah, it was Hannah. K8 said on Twitter she'd hurt it in gym class. If that was the same arm she was pulling when Hannah wouldn't get out of the car (probably the right if Hannah was in the front passenger seat), then K8 could have done some damage. I don't understand where her head is at; she has so little self-control. After all these years of being in public, you'd think she would've learned a thing or two about protecting her image.

Last photo with kid was August 20, Aaden with Mak. I cannot believe the comments she's getting. Like it's soooo unusual to put packaged items into bins. For 13 and 16 y/o's. She could have been doing it this way for at least the last 5 or 6 years, was she just too slow on the uptake to figure it out before now? Is it those very original "Use First" stickers she stuck on some of the bins?

I dunno, her fans are either just trying to be extra nice to Her Beastliness, or they're really, really stupid. Oh and I don't think "Famous Amos" is organic. Too busy to bake these days, K8? What about the traditional 27 dozen cookies for the freezer?

TFW thinks pictures of snacks will appease those who are wondering why she has not posted a 'traditional' photo on the front steps.

Her cart looks pretty ad hoc; those bins are precariously balanced. Use first? Aren't the kids old enough to know to use the top ones or whatever first? I think they are old enough to pack their own lunches like they apparently used to...the Dilleys helped at about age 7. When last seen, Joel and Aaden helped pack lunches in the morning and 'actually got to talk to her' meaning their mother; previously it was done the day before which makes sense, by the girls when the boys had chicken duty.Kate will not let go of her busy mom persona when the kids probably would prefer to make their own lunches, not the list of sandwich, fruit, crunchy etc

However, this post about snack bins has gotten at least 150 comments. I believe that she's always bought views and likes and now I believe that she's also buying comments. She's not fooling anyone especially when the comments all say the same type of thing. As others have mentioned, that system wouldn't work for long in my house once the bully discovered that he could get some yummy snacks. She needs to be very careful with those cookies being within dog reach especially if they're chocolate chip.

Yeah, the comments are insane, right? And forget about the stupid bins---she could just have left many of these items in the boxes they typically come in, they'd be easier to identify for those "on-the-go" moments. This is really one of her more idiotic posts. And it now has 7K likes, LOL.

I'm not sure what you mean by buying comments. Maybe you could buy bots that would comment generally like those little valentine candies, "You're the best" or "You're awesome." Anything specific, I don't think it's possible for bots.

I think that if those bins are actually in the kitchin and not just put up for a photo shot, the dogs are either crated a lot, of there are gates blocking entry. Seems I've seen lots of gates/crates in various photos. Poor dogs. They're big and they need room and exercise. On 26 acres she surely could have had a large, safe enclosure built close to the house where they could hang out during the day with some shade trees.

She not only has the labels showing on the Nature Valley granola bars and the Famous Amos cookies, but the bin with the bags of Pop Chips is pulled out so people can see what's in it. I doubt that they are paying her for endorsements--how would they track what sales are attributable to her? But maybe she grifted them in exchange for making sure her followers see them. I looked at the picture and thought it was odd that the bins are pulled out and askew (isn't she supposed to be soooo organized?). Unless the point is to let people see what is in some of them. Like on the show--they show labels of things that they get for free, then blur labels of things that are not.

I noticed when she is trying to make money off of things, they always have a code for her followers to use (always with a discount). The company can then track which sales come from Kate, and compensate her accordingly.

AuntieAnn (#82), I think the official TFW-speak description of Harvey would be "rain or whatever."

Remember TFW'S Insta APB for rubber chickens? Wouldn't it be nice if she used the power of her celebrity (*shudder*) to encourage her followers to support the storm victims? It would take all of 5 minutes. But on the bright side, I'm pleased to see someone has cured her addiction to giving. Wouldn't want to be that kind of role model to her 7 kids, or to her followers.

It's ridiculous that TFW's sheeple are commenting on that "snack cart" Instagram photo that she's so amazing, so organized, what a great idea. Duh. And, TFW is so proud of herself that she had to post four pics??

First of all, it would drive me crazy to have that sloppy looking cart out in my kitchen. It's a hodgepodge mess of three different types of baskets, plus the box of cookies on the bottom. And, those stickers are just dumb.

Doesn't she have a pantry or enough space in those big pantry cabinets on that one kitchen wall? Just put all the snack items on a couple of shelves so you don't have to look at it all the time.

No OCD person, or even just a highly organized person who doesn't like clutter, would ever have that messy cart in the middle of their kitchen dining area. Like I said, it would drive me nuts.

Most of those types of snacks can be purchased in most school cafeterias for about the same price she's probably paying. I'm not sure about their school, though.

A truly penny-pinching mom would buy big bags of chips and divide them into ziploc bags to make her own, much cheaper snack bags.

I'm surprised she didn't tag the various snack brands so she could at least get their attention and possibly some freebies sent to the poor single mom of eight (seven).

Former Lurker said...

And, this fan wants the old TFW back:

Reminds me of a funny (and little bit scary) story about our old bichon.
He was THE WORST when it came to getting into food. He wasn't more than 14 inches off the ground, but that dog could get into food WAY higher than he was!
Even leap and reach to snatch things off the counter!
One day, bichon got into a plastic-wrapped box of individually plastic-wrapped key lime, chocolate -dipped cookies.
You know those plastic-wrapped boxes that you can't start the corners to being to peel it open?
Long fingernails don't help.
No nails don't help.
You need to dig a little knife out of your drawer to get the G-D thing started?

That little white ball of mischief took off the outer wrapping, opened the box and individually unwrapped and ate 3 cookies!

Seriously...*I* would have made more of a mess than he did.

Thank God that the were really cheap cookies with poor-quality milk chocolate, so he didn't even get so much as diarrhea, but after that, I had to tape a large sign onto our pantry rack so that DH and I never stored anything he could get into below the 3rd shelf!

****BICHON ZONE!****

Here's some info on how bots work and why some of Kate's posts get more hits than others.

Once you sign up and pay for one of these programs, it will put your Instagram account to work, liking and commenting on photos 24/7. The service will only like photos that use the hashtag you’ve specified. Then, it will only comment with one of a predetermined pool of comments you’ve specified.

Kate seems to be tailoring them to the hashtags that she puts on them. In this case she used #SeventhAndEleventh #ICantBelieveIt #ProudMom which are very random. She'd get more real hits with something like #BackToSchool #SnackTime, etc.

I agree that she seems to be buying comments to fit her needs. I actually have to believe this because I don't want to believe that people are that stupid that they think her snack system is the best thing since sliced bread!

I remembered something I'd seen on the New England trip that caught my ear and I went back and rewatched the part and sure enough, Hannah was selling out ol' Mommy Dearest even back then.

They had just arrived at the restaurant for lunch (when Mady got lobster just to annoy Kate) and Kate was complaining (imagine that!) about the ride and talking about giving out snacks, electronics, taking electronics away, bathroom breaks...blah, blah, blah and Hannah piped up and said "Happiness breaks" - then very quickly (like realizing what she said), "stretch breaks" So I'm assuming Happiness breaks are the same as happy-up breaks? I mean really, the kids were 10-11 and 13-14 and she was still popping them with the wooden spoon? God, she's mental.

Hey! I only had one kid! What do I know about multiple-kid-organization? When my son decided to stop buying lunches and take his own, we set aside a space in a refrigerator drawer and one cabinet shelf. I kept the areas stocked and he selected his own "ingredients" daily.

I didn't know that I should have staged a separate area and made it a photo op for friends and moms of his class mates.

I always thought I was kinda' tidy. I am fairly organized. I now know that I must be OCD. Really. I could never stand to have that cart with mis-matched baskets as a part of my family room area.

It is ugly and inappropriate for the decor by a fireplace. She isn't living in a 3 room apartment with limited space. Keep food in the kitchen!

I should not have looked at the pictures. I should not care how klutzy her home is arranged. It is none of my business.

Unless she's pregnant with twins, there is no way she is only 3 months pregnant in that photo. They got married at the end of May. If this was her 2nd or 3rd baby, I could see it, but most don't show that soon with their first. She looks around 5 to 6 months pregnant.

Ugh - For most of these girls, I hate that their first experience in intimacy basically results in a pregnancy. Way to keep a woman down!

Nicky said...

Dmasy - I agree 100%! That cart looks stupid, and its essentially useless. Why does she make it seem like her kids are morons who couldn't figure out what to pack in their lunch by looking in the pantry.

When I buy bulk, I cut off the tops of the boxes and place them in the pantry so they are easier to get to. I know, I know....what am I thinking? I will go spend $100 for a cart, mismatched baskets, and place a few of these items in my living room next to the kitchen. That way, my children won't get confused when packing their lunch. It's just too much to ask of them to remember to open the pantry door.

We have an adult "snack station" for work lunches in my new kitchen. There is a lower corner cabinet made of of a big lazy susan. I put several shallow plastic containers in there along the circle and stocked them with chips, apple sauces, granola bars, individual packets of dried fruit, cookies, apples. Then you just open and spin to select what to throw into a lunch.

Same time-saving concept without CLUTTERING the house.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Nicky we do that too, cut open a box for easy pull out.

The key with lunch packing is just have it all in one location so you're not digging around various shelves r can't remember what you have in stock. It's easy for a box of crackers to be forgotten over the months if it gets misfiled somewhere. One shelf of the pantry, my lazy susan, whatever, just keep it together. A separate cart is silly and unnecessary clutter.

I feel kind of guilty--my college kids moved back to school, so I have empty bedrooms and spare beds. I wish there was a way to offer that space to someone displaced by the hurricane, but I doubt they are all the way up here.

I never knew how disorganized I was in the lunch-packing department. I had a cupboard with approved lunch items. Lazy me, I'd just open the boxes and put them in the cabinet. There was always a box of yogurt tubes in the freezer (I kept them frozen so that they would keep cold lunch items cool). I'd make sandwiches, pull the yogurt out of the freezer and cold items out of the fridge, and let my boys pack what they wanted. Was I doing it wrong? Why didn't my kids ever say anything? They spent all those years pretending to be perfectly happy with our lunch-packing routine, and apparently were afraid to hurt my feelings by telling me that a cart was required. Poor guys. I'm sure they'll all end up in therapy.

Sheesh, some people make parenting so much more complicated than it really needs to be.

Re Bots/Likes/Followers/Comments

I think there's some confusion about all of the above. Bots are automated programs where you let your account become a bot which goes around 24/7 liking and commenting on posts that have a hashtag you list when you sign up. It's basically a business build-up tool. If you have a catering business you could search out hashtags regarding food, restaurants (we're not talking about the Milo/Kate kind of #hastagsthataretotallyridiculous. Then your instagram account goes to those comments with the hashtag you've listed when you signed up and it "likes" the post with the post with the hashtagged you specified, and you can have the program add a comment you've chosen such as "love your products...eatery" ---whatever. The purpose is that the people see you liked and or commented and they follow you. You pay a monthly fee.

Likes and follows are different. They're less expensive, some can be bots or can be real people who have signed on to do it. If you buy comments, however, the comments you buy are for one post or one picture only. Kate could buy comments for her idiotic snack picture. Buying comments runs around $130 for 500 comments on one picture posted. Likes and follows are much less.

Some links:

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS
Our software likes photos and Tweets on the behalf of your account.
You pick the hashtags to follow and we get to work. It's not spammy to receive a like, that's why we've only ever done likes. When people receive your likes, they are inclined to check your profile and like and follow you back.

Teenagers tend to do stuff like that. Mine enjoy doing things to make me think I'm going crazy, or as they like to say, senile, lol. But we all end up laughing about it. Unfortunately, in TFW's case, she'd most likely scream and yell at them and demand to know who did it.

I think Kate was desperate to mention back-to-school so she put together this cart. She probably dragged it out of another room, removing alcohol and wine/whiskey glasses, threw various bins on it and dumped the snacks she had in them.Once she mentioned she got random stickers mailed to her for the kids to play with that have little to do with anything but children like them- this is years ago.The tups made picture with them for Jon which Mady took away from them , distressing the littles greatly. She stuck the Use First ones here. So anyway, I think the cart is not usually wedged there and this is her back-to-school 2017 photo!

I tend to check in and out on the TFW happenings, so I missed most of the deck saga, but since then I think that cart has been shown on clips (and obviously therefore on the show, but I don't watch it). I remember seeing the cart a couple of times since the deck was added. It's been about in the same place in her kitchen as it is in these pics and I assume it had paper plates, cups, and whatever else she needed to roll outside onto the deck when they barbecued and ate out there.

Speaking of missing the deck saga, I guess now would be a good time for me to finally ask what the "lesbian deck" jokes are about. I haven't for the life of me been able to figure that one out.

More:

• nick_moy@shellylikespickles And where did you got your rumors and lies, The Global News Network, a billion dollar media company reported on this and did NOT mention that an ambulance was called or anybody was harmed, It stated the got a call about a custody issue, and had obtained a copy of the court order for the custody arrangement. The police had their own legal team reviewed the document and found that the document is vague enough to be taken either way... So if Kate believe she is RIGHT she DID what any REAL mother who LOVES her children will do.. She will fight with All her might.. So if her ex got the child, it was a toss of the coin by the police... After the police left, the ex called the police again to complain that Kate's lawyer called him to say they will take him to court.. when the police returned everybody have already left.. I don't know what the ex wants the police to do.. Do you run and cry to the police because someone is going to sue you... I have mentioned before I think the ex is very manipulative and malisous who is trying to make Kate look bad.. This is a standard behaviour, in cases where divorce becomes a nasty one. However by looking back at some of the old shows he really did NORHING to raise those kids.. I see some dog owners just standing around in the park and watching their dogs run around... That's how I see him... He becomes one of the trees....

• johnpaulbachmannBut Cindy, Kate is saying how PROUD she is and the public she's boasting to are wondering WTH she's proud of? If this is the part of her house she's proud of what must the rest of it look like? Is this her organizational skills she's so proud of? Surely she must have a better example - no??

• nick_moy@shellylikespickles So glad that you volunteer your KINGDOM to give PERMISSION or APPROVAL, Should we call you Your Highness, Your Hinee Whiney ?
• princessellie.kay@ortiz_02 At my preschool, we make sure our students have eaten their lunches. I believe the teachers should be supervising during lunch and making sure your child is eating her lunch and not letting her go hungry.

Kate is always showing pictures of bad looking food and xmas decorations. Martha Stewart, she ain't. She's not even Peggy Bundy.

"Speaking of missing the deck saga, I guess now would be a good time for me to finally ask what the "lesbian deck" jokes are about."

As far as the "lesbian" deck is concerned, the builder made some strangely-worded comment about how they build all kinds of decks for anyone, including lesbian, preacher, etc. It sounded like he was saying they could build a lesbian deck or a preacher deck. Just odd wording, so it became a running joke here.

I wish people wouldn't argue with the sheeple like they do. It just keeps them riled up and defensive. They think they're doing battle for Kate and just makes them feel like white knights for someone who doesn't deserve that kind of support. Even if video of Kate hurting Hannah were released, the sheeple would deny it exists or claim it was doctored. Just wait it out and they will have to live with the reality of the final situation. If Jon gets equal custody, then they will have to adjust their view of Kate according to that. Nobody will be able to argue and convince them of anything on IG.

Personally, I hope Jon does get equal custody. I hope the kids aren't required to film because it's clear that some of them don't want to. There isn't much left of their childhoods, and they should be able to be carefree and to have fun. To be kids. Kate can work. She doesn't need babysitters--her kids are old enough to babysit for others. Jon is more than willing to take them as often as he can. Jon can do school bus pick-up/drop off, and M&C are old enough to drive. There are no obstacles to Kate working if she needs money. It's time for her to be the parent and for the kids to be kids. They can't go back years from now and have a childhood. It will be too late. This is their last chance.

The intent behind the statement about lesbian and pastor decks was a good one but it just came out so funny. Especially in this day in age. Um, why wouldn't you build decks for lesbians and preachers alike, and wouldn't it be illegal to inquire about information like that in the first place? He was so proud of himself for doing what he is supposed to do, serving people's deck needs. All people. There was something so folksy about it, I serve the butcher, the baker and even the candlestick maker! Too funny.

There may be a way to do that. You could put it on air b and b for free or almost free and then advertise in the Houston area on Craiglist. You could also try linking up with a church and seeing if they can send you someone. Make sure though you set air b and b to APPROVING guests otherwise the booking is automatic.

Families during Katrina found housing many states away, they were willing to go anywhere. Plus someone may have a grandparent or other family support in your town, but just not enough room to actually stay with them.

Robert wrote in his book that he thought Kate wanted to be Martha Stewart (but with a bunch of kids). Maybe this tacky cart is her idea of what one of Martha's "good things" would look like. Too bad she doesn't have Martha's taste or imagination. Kate should know by now that she cannot pull off the Martha thing, but it's possible that she's dusting off that idea again if they're not filming. Maybe she thinks she can reinvent herself. If so, she's way off base.

As I have said before, I'm a major Martha wannabe. I was thrilled a couple weeks ago when my DH presented me with a blue-and-white "Bakers Gonna Bake" sweatshirt, exactly like the ones Martha and Snoop wore for their Super Bowl promos. My boys loved the double entendre (Snoop was wearing the same shirt...get it?). Anyway, I wear it proudly. I'm such a dork. If someone like Kate tries to step into Martha's shoes, we wannabes are going to revolt.

I'm actually really big on separating out "packed lunch food" from the rest of the fridge and pantry. I don't want to spend a long time agonizing over what to pack or trying to find what I've got in stock, it helps keep the lunches focused on healthy options, and I don't like when people eat up all the little pre packaged yogurts or cheese snacks at home when they had the time to cut up some cheese or get some yogurt out of the big tub of Fage. Thus, people here know the lunch stuff is for PACKED lunches, not for just eating whenever. And, it really does make lunch packing quick, I just worry about the main course every night (a salad, a wrap, some leftover pasta, etc.) and then compliment it by quickly throwing in a yogurt, granola bar and fruit from my bins. Lunches are usually packed in a few minutes instead of 5 or 10, which gets old and youll quit and go back to spending too much money eating out.

My big thing though is to keep it hidden. Nothing looks nice or attractive about a bunch of ziplock bagged snacks or pre-packaged cheese sticks just out there. Keep lunch stuff organized and in one place, great, but close the door on it.

Notice that as usual, TFW puts zero "positivity" into school. Couldn't she at least fake some interest in the twins starting 11th grade --just a year away from college (if they go), and the excitement of deciding what to do for a living? Is there no value to academics in her mind? Was any recreational reading done by her 7 kids during the summer? Not from a school to-do list, but simply for the pleasure of it?

&&&&&&&&

I totally couldn't see anyone wanting TFW to be a chaperone. That would be such a nightmare.

As far as letting the girls go on a trip, I think since she's never been to Europe, she probably wouldn't allow them to go. She would be too envious because she hasn't been able to go anywhere in Europe, (thanks to TLC, lol).

She reminds me of my friend's mother, a total raging narcissist. Her mother was a model in her younger days, then gave up working when she snagged a wealthy doctor (my friend's father), and went on to have three children. We've been friends since we were eight years old and her mother has actually gotten worse over the years. Once my friend graduated college, and later grad school, her mother was actually jealous of her career. It got worse when she got married, and even worse once she started having kids.

My friend is the oldest of three kids and she has four kids herself now, which makes her mother feel like she has been deliberately one-upped. She's really that sick in the head. She's jealous of her own daughter's marriage, her career, her family. She's jealous of her youngest child as well, my friend's sister. The middle child is a boy, so he doesn't count, of course. To see a woman completely jealous of her grown daughters is perplexing and very sad.

I think as the kids get older and go off on their own, and TFW's life is very, very empty with no family, few friends, and no career, she will be similarly jealous of her kids and their experiences in life. She is going to make their lives hell and some of them will decide to cut the ties, especially when it begins to cause problems in their own marriages (and it unfortunately will).

I remember one of the twins (probably Cara) saying that she wanted to go far away for college. Now that the college years aren't that far away, I think that wish is based more on restricted access than physical distance.

Getting the hell away from TFW is a desired goal, but TFW can always grift a plane ticket and show up with a camera crew and make the usual ass of herself.

Whoever's in college can't merely put TFW on a list of persona-non-grata to be turned away at the front gate. Colleges generally aren't that restrictive when it comes to access by the public.

One can achieve restricted access by going to a service academy, but neither twin has ever expressed interest in places like West Point and Annapolis. Plus, they're probably afraid of TFW grifting for the necessary recommendations. As if applying to college wasn't stressful enough.

Assuming TFW doesn't play the "I've done my part - now they're on their own" card upon high-school graduation, I'm guessing whoever's college-bound should choose a real expensive one where they can make some access rules of their own. A place like Bryn Mawr has tuition + room/board adding up to somewhere in the mid-60s. Overnight guests in the dorms can only happen if there is unanimous consent by the roommates. That would be one way of keeping TFW at arm's length.

TFW doesn't want to pay the tuition and the room/board? More hypocrisy for her - she did claim she would do anything for the kids. Of course, TFW has never backed her word on anything [meaningful]. She can't really claim she doesn't have that kind of college money lying around; the kids made it all via their indentured servitude.

Oddly, I can no longer see her comments. I have an IG account but have never used it and it's not associated with any name here or elsewhere. I certainly have never commented so I doubt I'm blocked. Odd.

The reason you can't read nick_moy's nasty comments is because she's going in and deleting them. Here's her convo about that with Carlene (who posted that she reported accounts).

nick_moy @carleneigras1 Thank..I did too.. pandapanda and meimie2000 is now gone...They sent me a privage messages and I just reject them.. Also all my nasty reply to them, I deleted them as soon as I see their rude comments are removed.. Thanks..

Interesting. I bet she was reported. I understand Twitter sometimes gives a warning before the account is removed, perhaps IG does, too.

Does anyone remember the first day of school picture when Collin was different from the others. His shirt, where he was standing. Was this the last picture of all 8 on the first school day?

Because I remember the one last year with just shoes and backpacks. And this year is a substandard snack cart??

The way she slighted poor Collin in that picture, she is paying for it now, because no children in the first day of school pictures!

Colleges I've been to, visiting family members, the dorms all had security where you cannot get in the building without a key card and they were all taught not to just let someone in unless you were the person who invited them. So that might work if one wanted to get away from her! And it was Car who said she wanted to go far away for college.

&&&&

The two colleges I went to were very respectful of you being an adult now. Parents could not speak to professors or see your grades without your permission, you no longer needed any parental involvement or permission for anything you did even trips abroad, and I imagine if a kid didn't want their parent on campus they could easily ask campus security to please escort them out. My parents were good about respecting that like most college kids I no longer wanted them to talk to my teachers or see my grades (I told them orally) but I remember hearing that some parents would call the school demanding this or that claiming that THEY were paying, so they could demand whatever they like. Even then the school does not oblige. If you pay for the school and want to work out an arrangement with your adult kid that you get to be involved in return, that's fine, but the school is under no obligation to honor the agreement without permission of the child.

Kate won't have any control or influence. The ball is in the child's court now as to what if any contact she will have.

If any of the kids go to out-of-state colleges...well, I hope that trust fund is a big one! Out-of-state tuition, plus room, board, books and fees can get pretty steep. Even if they go to a state college, it's a whole different ballpark from high school/prep school. We recently helped our college boys move back to their schools, and it amazes me to see the kinds of things some of these kids have. Many are driving BMWs, Mercedes, Range Rovers. The boutique shopping she did with the twins is de rigueur for these kids. And they require multiple trips per day to Starbucks. Made me glad I have boys! Toss them some jeans and t-shirts and they're happy. Girls are a whole different game. I see it in my teenage niece. There's a lot of expensive competition and they definitely divide themselves into "haves" and "have-nots". I hope Kate is prepared--she did not raise those kids to be "have-nots".

I think Kate will tell the kids that they each get X amount for college and that's it.
I can't see her budgeting or offering any more than what in-state college would cost.
I don't see Kate shelling out big bucks for all the travel parents and kids do these days in order to check out numerous campuses in person.
Not without it being filmed.

"Dirtbiking while pregnant? Call me a worry wart, but I would not be doing that. You can never be too careful."

The Duggars think they are the special people of God. Pregnant Jill went to a foreign country where the Zika virus was. I believe the blind item that said Joyanna was pregnant before marriage. I'm sure TLC and People magazine will try to cover that up.
*************************
They may try and go the redemption, love the sinner, hate the sin route. In Part Two of the Counting On Trivia game show, Mr. & Mrs. Allen were called out by the interviewer re: the less than a side hug after JoyAnna accepted the marriage proposal. Mr. Allen responded with "we're human and sometimes we don't abide by our rules" which is clearly shown in the promo of the episode on TLC Go. There may be more to the exchange, but I've already watched that once and I'm saving my brain cells and stomach for the September 11th premiere so I can track the advertisers again.

Layla, the tuition at some of our state universities is equal to or less than what they are paying right now.

I guess Joy-Anna and her husband did a bit more than just holding hands, unless, of course, there was a visit from an angel proclaiming a Holy Birth.

Don't forget one other important aspect of Jon possibly getting joint legal custody is that he will have a say in where they go to college and how the college funds are spent. TFW isn't going to like that at all, especially if there isn't as much money in those funds as she has claimed.

Yes, that was the last back to school picture Kate posted.

Speaking of, I seem to remember that C was in fact wearing an identical uniform shirt as his siblings and was shoved in the back so Kate was trying to pretend C was still going to school I presume. I think I mentioned before how disgusted I am that she had C put on a uniform for that photo op.

I was thinking along the lines of all the "extras" college kids have these days. The cars, clothes, handbags, backpacks, watches...it really shocked me. I was seeing 18-year-olds with nicer cars than mine. With unmistakable labels on their backpacks. Carrying handbags that I would never splurge on for myself. Tuition is just the beginning. Kate is raising those kids to expect a certain lifestyle, and that lifestyle rises to a whole new level with college. I was not prepared to see teenagers carrying and wearing Chanel!

OT:

I just wanted to share some good news with you ladies! I had a stereotactic breast biopsy on Monday ( following a summer of tests, varios mammos, ultrasounds etc) and got the call today of "probably benign" and I don't have to go back for another mammogram for 6 months! I was thrilled since my mother passed away from breast cancer only 2 years after diagnosis. I have calcifications in one breast and density in the other. While I am thrilled, I will keep on top of this and other medical tests and hope you do the same! The stereotactic biopsy is not pleasant but saved me from a surgical biopsy under general anesthetic. I have lost a few friends ( one male) to breast cancer, so this was a wake-up call that you can be 'fine' until you get a phone call that you are not. I realize while I was getting my good news, many people would be receiving bad news and looking forward to surgery, radiation, chemo, illness...just wanted to share with you here !

AuntieAnn, thank you for finding that for me! It's both strange and funny. Now I finally know that inside joke and can laugh along with everyone instead of wondering what the heck a lesbian deck is, lol.

Former Lurker - You're very welcome. It was a pleasure. The trouble with burrowing through past threads on here is once you start you can't stop. It's kind of like digital heroine. Even the trolls and sheep get hooked (oh yes you do).

Thank you as well for your condolences and that appreciation goes for everyone here who took the time to write such kind words to me about DH's passing. I was going to settle in a couple of weeks ago to respond to you all and then well-meaning friends abducted me as they thought I needed a vacation. I couldn't tell them that was the last thing I wanted to do because they had gone to such trouble to make the arrangements and then surprise me that I couldn't say no. It was really very nice of them. Then I came home and locked the doors. I was "exhausted", lol.

Anyway as you already know, this really is a great community, more than just a discussion board and I hope you'll find a chair somewhere here on our 'deck'. We don't care if you're lesbian or preacher or... Just take your shoes off and stay awhile :)

While her cart is stupid, I give her a pass on the pre-packaged stuff. I go through phases where I'll do large batches of granola bars, cookies, etc., but truthfully, I haven't done any major baking since Xmas. But I also am not spouting off my mom awesomeness that I do that consistently for my kids.

School starts here next week, so unless I get a major baking urge, my kids will have some pre-packaged items for the next few weeks. Which they will get from a pantry. In which the door will be closed. And there will be no stickers. Crossing fingers it works out for them! ;o)

The discussion on attending college is right up my alley as I currently work at a 4-year public university on the west coast. And have worked here for 20 years in an academic department.

Parent/student visits to campus are organized well in advance by a central unit. They not only provide the PR about the university but also inform the visitors of the rules. Though I have not seen the rules myself, I have never seen a camera crew follow a potential student. Even though this is a public university outside filming would need to be cleared with executive leadership.

Tuition and fees (yes there are additional fees) is $9,400 per term; $28,200 for an out of state undergraduate. Then there are the plus pluses (books, housing, etc) on top

Helicopter parents are frowned upon by faculty. Here's a true story....had a smart (high GPA) incoming student meet with faculty member for advising and the parent tried to attend the session. The parent handed the faculty member the student's class schedule for the next 4-years as designed by the parent. The faculty member told the parent (politely) to get some coffee for a few minutes. After the parent left the faculty member threw the schedule in the trash can, and then asked the student what did he want to do.

Yes, staff have also had to deal with aggressive parents. Quite often we site FERPA (federal confidentiality rules) and explain that we are limited in what information we can disclose.

I bring share these experiences and information here as I can see TFW trying to bully her way with faculty and/or staff. And believe me, it will not go far because as a staff member we are trained on how to handle bullies. And one of our options, for our safety, is to call campus Police and have the person removed from the office immediately. Sometimes if its bad enough, the person is restricted from setting foot on campus ever again.

TFW will not get her way if she accompanies C on campus visits and/or visiting the university after C is admitted.

Oh, as for the Housing stay. TFW would have to be registered as a visitpr with Housing and C would have to accompany TFW at all times. Oh yeah, that would really work out well for both them. Not!

Formerly Duped (#194), congrats on your good news!

Nicky (#1996), your willy-nilly snack system leaves a lot to be desired. Clearly you're not as swell a mom as TFW is. But fear not, as she is happy to share her mad skillz on Insta, to give you mediocre moms something to aspire to!

Former Lurker said...

As far as the prepackaged snacks, I think TFW is proud of herself and showing off what she considers "healthy" snacks. Those Peeled snacks are organic dried fruit snacks. The Snapz snacks are organic dried fruit and dried vegetable snacks. I'm sure she considers the Pop Chips as "better" than regular potato chips. I see dried apricots in the bottom shelf, along with boxes of raisins. Personally, I think she's very proud of her assortment and trying to show it off.
